- 0:09Speaker 1: Vie for sure. Ye, it's nice Lo l'allo. Hello, welcome
- 0:16Speaker 1: to the Nordy good Night Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and it's our first show of twenty twenty four. Let
- 0:22Speaker 1: me say that again, twenty twenty four. Happy New Year, everybody.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I hope you had a marvelous time last night celebrating.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Maybe you went to bed early, which is perfectly fine too.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You do you this new year, you do you. It's
- 0:37Speaker 1: going to be a good one. I am determined, determined
- 0:41Speaker 1: that it's going to be a good one. And we
- 0:42Speaker 1: know there's going to be challenges. There always is, but
- 0:45Speaker 1: it's the way that we react to those challenges, naughties
- 0:48Speaker 1: that's going to really define our year. And we're all
- 0:52Speaker 1: in this together. So thank you so much again for
- 0:55Speaker 1: this lovely little naughty community that we have created together.
- 0:59Speaker 1: If my voice sounds a little bit raspy today, I
- 1:02Speaker 1: didn't hear you. If I get hear yes, it was
- 1:05Speaker 1: a late night. Bruce and I went out with had
- 1:06Speaker 1: dear dear friends or Robbie and Alan and our friend Evelyn.
- 1:11Speaker 1: We went for dinner. It was just the most perfect
- 1:14Speaker 1: way for me, at least to bring in the new year.
- 1:18Speaker 1: What's your favorite thing to do? Mine is to sit
- 1:20Speaker 1: around at dinner table having a glass of wine, a vodka,
- 1:24Speaker 1: glass of champagne maybe, and some delicious food, but more importantly,
- 1:28Speaker 1: just delicious people, people that you love. I'm gonna try
- 1:32Speaker 1: really hard this year to do that more, to spend
- 1:35Speaker 1: time with people I love. And I can't think of
- 1:40Speaker 1: anybody that I love quite as much as I love you, naughties.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So let's jump in the show and enjoy the next
- 1:47Speaker 1: twenty minutes of celebrity news. Hey, what time is it,
- 1:50Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea time. Okay, big story at
- 1:54Speaker 1: the top of the show. Paula Abdul has sued the
- 1:58Speaker 1: America An Idol executive producer Nigel Liftgo for sexual assault.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So Paula has filed a lawsuit against her former American
- 2:10Speaker 1: Idol executive producer, Nigel Liftgo, in which she accuses him
- 2:15Speaker 1: of sexually assaulting her during the time they worked together.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So you will remember Nigel. He was the executive producer
- 2:23Speaker 1: of American Idol. He created it. He was there from
- 2:26Speaker 1: day one. He hired Paula to be a judge and a.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Paula's career was a little bit in a slump. She
- 2:32Speaker 1: hadn't done much. She was a queen of the eighties,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but then her career sort of disappeared. She wasn't selling
- 2:38Speaker 1: out big venues. She wanted this job. Some people would
- 2:41Speaker 1: say she needed this job, and everybody would say this
- 2:44Speaker 1: job put her back on the map. Nobody, nobody, including
- 2:48Speaker 1: Nigel Simon Cowll. Nobody thought American Idol would be as
- 2:53Speaker 1: big as it was. It defined a generation, it really did.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Thirty forty million people were voting for the winner. So
- 3:02Speaker 1: this show was just enormous. And now Paula the person
- 3:07Speaker 1: we remember really from American Idol. I think she's more
- 3:10Speaker 1: famous from Idol than even her pop hits. She is
- 3:14Speaker 1: saying that while she was on the show, Nigel sexually
- 3:19Speaker 1: assaulted her. Now I should point out it's a technicality here,
- 3:23Speaker 1: but she submitted the papers to a Los Angeles court
- 3:28Speaker 1: under the Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, which
- 3:34Speaker 1: allows most civil suits in sexual assault cases to proceed
- 3:40Speaker 1: after the statue of limitations had expired. That happened on
- 3:44Speaker 1: December thirty first, So Paula got in here just before
- 3:48Speaker 1: the deadline. Because this happened allegedly a long time ago,
- 3:52Speaker 1: when she was on Idol. The statue of limitations had expired,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but because of this new act, this temporary act, it's
- 4:00Speaker 1: not ongoing. It was a temporary act that led anybody
- 4:04Speaker 1: at any time who allegedly had been sexually assaulted to
- 4:09Speaker 1: come forward. Paula did. Now, it's quite shocking, so I'm
- 4:14Speaker 1: gonna tread carefully here. I know a lot of people
- 4:17Speaker 1: listened to the Naudy Bina show with their families or
- 4:19Speaker 1: early in the morning. But Paula states that the two
- 4:21Speaker 1: of them were in the elevator and he groped her.
- 4:24Speaker 1: He groped her and started to kiss her without her consent.
- 4:28Speaker 1: She said she pushed away from him and she ran
- 4:31Speaker 1: out of that elevator and she did call a rep
- 4:35Speaker 1: after the incident. That's very important, and she called a rep.
- 4:39Speaker 1: But ultimately she decided not to take any legal action
- 4:44Speaker 1: because she thought she would be fired from this new
- 4:46Speaker 1: hit show. She was making a lot of money, she
- 4:49Speaker 1: was back in the spotlight, She's on a huge TV
- 4:51Speaker 1: head and she wasn't gonna let this ruin that now.
- 4:54Speaker 1: She also alleges in the lawsuit that a few years later,
- 4:59Speaker 1: when she he went to work for Nigel again as
- 5:02Speaker 1: a co judge this time on So You Think You
- 5:04Speaker 1: Can Dance. He was also a judge on that show.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So if Nigel Liftgo, if the name rings a bell,
- 5:10Speaker 1: he was one of the judges on So You Think
- 5:13Speaker 1: You Can Dance. Now, when you're executive producer, you're behind
- 5:15Speaker 1: the scenes. So every show has an executive producer, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: you probably don't know any executive producers. Totally normal. However,
- 5:22Speaker 1: once the executive producer makes themselves the star, like Andy Cohen.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Andy Cohen gave himself his own show, and now we
- 5:27Speaker 1: know who Andy Cohen needs. But when he was behind
- 5:30Speaker 1: the scenes, people in New York knew who he was.
- 5:32Speaker 1: The booker's not people out on the street. But now
- 5:35Speaker 1: everybody knows who he is because he was on TV
- 5:37Speaker 1: same as Nigel. The minute he started judging So You
- 5:40Speaker 1: Think You Can Dance. His fame shot through the roof.
- 5:42Speaker 1: In fact, a couple of months ago, I was at
- 5:44Speaker 1: this little jazz club, Birdland, in the forties in Midtown.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Nigel was in the audience too, and he got a
- 5:49Speaker 1: shout out from the stage. They were excited Nigel Lifgo
- 5:53Speaker 1: was there, so he is a celebrity. So she alleges
- 5:55Speaker 1: while she was working, and so you think you can dance.
- 5:59Speaker 1: She was invited over to his house for the evening,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and she thought it was work related. She got to
- 6:05Speaker 1: his house and he started to kiss her again. He
- 6:07Speaker 1: forcibly jumped on top of her, and she said that
- 6:11Speaker 1: she was just terrified by this. He even said we
- 6:15Speaker 1: would make quote an excellent power couple. So there's details here.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Now Paula is moving forward with this lawsuit. We have
- 6:26Speaker 1: his response in just a moment, but a few things
- 6:28Speaker 1: I want to point out the fact she called one
- 6:31Speaker 1: of her reps. Who was that rep. Is the rep
- 6:35Speaker 1: gonna collaborate this story? It's he said, she said. At
- 6:38Speaker 1: the moment, he's saying he absolutely did nothing wrong. She's
- 6:42Speaker 1: got some detail. She's saying he absolutely did. We need
- 6:45Speaker 1: a collaborating witness. That's why it's so important. If ever
- 6:49Speaker 1: God forbid, you found you find yourself in a really
- 6:52Speaker 1: difficult situation, send yourself a text, send yourself an email
- 6:56Speaker 1: and save it. Call a friend, tell somebody, you have
- 7:00Speaker 1: to tell somebody. I know that it's awful that we
- 7:03Speaker 1: should even think like this, but this is the world
- 7:06Speaker 1: we live in. You need a collaborator here, and so
- 7:09Speaker 1: Paula might have one in this rep that she called.
- 7:13Speaker 1: The rep hopefully is still around, we'll remember the conversation,
- 7:17Speaker 1: maybe even has the phone records to prove that Paula called.
- 7:20Speaker 1: People keep records from years ago. Is my big question
- 7:23Speaker 1: to what did Simon call know? Did Simon know? Can
- 7:27Speaker 1: Simon come forward and say, you know, I saw stuff
- 7:30Speaker 1: it was inappropriate? It's really tricky, isn't it. I've worked
- 7:34Speaker 1: in environments where I thought I saw stuff. I'm not
- 7:37Speaker 1: really sure if I did. But if somebody came forward
- 7:40Speaker 1: and said this guy harassed me, oh my goodness, I'd say, ah,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you know, I saw that. I saw the bad behavior.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I didn't see the actual act, but I saw the flirting.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I saw the bullying, I saw the manipulation. So this
- 7:54Speaker 1: has rocked the world. I've not only American Idol, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: also so you think you can dance? That show is
- 8:01Speaker 1: meant to be coming back to TV in a couple
- 8:04Speaker 1: of months. Will it come back? Will they postpone it?
- 8:06Speaker 1: He's not just the judge, he is an executive producer.
- 8:10Speaker 1: It's serious, serious our aggations, which brings us to our
- 8:16Speaker 1: whole question of the day, what do you think nought
- 8:18Speaker 1: to ease. Paula Abdul sues the idle Ep Nigel liftgo
- 8:23Speaker 1: for sexual assault. Do you think this will settle or
- 8:25Speaker 1: do you think this will go to court? Will this
- 8:27Speaker 1: go all the way? And remember recently did his ex
- 8:30Speaker 1: girlfriend accuse him of sexual abuse. He was settled, He
- 8:34Speaker 1: never went to court. It was settled. Basically, he sent
- 8:37Speaker 1: her a big bat check. Nigel has a lot of
- 8:40Speaker 1: money here. I was Paula's publicist for a while, so
- 8:43Speaker 1: I know Paula. I've worked with her and I found
- 8:46Speaker 1: her to always be terribly honest, terribly frank. In fact,
- 8:49Speaker 1: when I media trained Paula, one of the things I'd
- 8:51Speaker 1: say to her is keep secrets. You don't have to
- 8:54Speaker 1: reveal everything. She's a really high revealer. So some people
- 8:58Speaker 1: are saying, well, why did he take her so long?
- 9:00Speaker 1: I don't think that's really an argument that we want
- 9:02Speaker 1: to get into on the Nrdy but Nic Show. It
- 9:04Speaker 1: feels a little bit like blaming the potential victim to me,
- 9:07Speaker 1: but what do you think with this? Well, they settle it.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Nigel has a lot of money and this is something
- 9:14Speaker 1: that could end his career, end his career, so is
- 9:17Speaker 1: it worth just sending a check he'll or will he
- 9:19Speaker 1: fight it? Will this go to court? Will Paula accept
- 9:22Speaker 1: the check? Paula's got a lot of money too, She's
- 9:24Speaker 1: done really well for herself and she doesn't live that high.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Will Paula want to settle this? Or will Paula want
- 9:30Speaker 1: to go to court? Hey? Go vote on our Twitter
- 9:32Speaker 1: page at Naughty Nice rob. Our facebook page is Nordia
- 9:36Speaker 1: Gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear
- 9:40Speaker 1: your results. Okay, moving along, we have Nigel's response to
- 9:45Speaker 1: Paula's allegations. He's absolutely denying it. In a statement, he
- 9:49Speaker 1: said the following quote, So say, I am shocked and
- 9:53Speaker 1: saddened by the allegations made against me by Paula. ABU
- 9:58Speaker 1: is a wild understatement. For more than two decades, Paula
- 10:04Speaker 1: and I have interacted as dear and entirely platonic friends
- 10:09Speaker 1: and colleagues. Yesterday, however, out of the blue, I learned
- 10:14Speaker 1: of these claims in the press, and I want to
- 10:17Speaker 1: be clear they're not Not only are they false, they
- 10:22Speaker 1: are deeply offensive to me and everything I stand for.
- 10:25Speaker 1: He concludes by saying he can't pretend to understand why
- 10:30Speaker 1: she would file a lawsuit that she must know is untrue.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But I can promise you that I will fight this
- 10:37Speaker 1: appalling smear with everything I have. That doesn't sound like
- 10:42Speaker 1: someone that's going to settle, does it. That sounds like
- 10:44Speaker 1: somebody that is going to fight. This is going to
- 10:49Speaker 1: get ugly and more people in American idol, in that
- 10:52Speaker 1: world are going to be dragged into this. Why do
- 10:54Speaker 1: you think about Ryan Seacrest? What did he know? What
- 10:57Speaker 1: did he see? Randy remember Randy the What did he know?
- 11:01Speaker 1: What did he see? It's all going to come out. Okay,
- 11:04Speaker 1: a funny story. Oh this made me laugh. So a
- 11:06Speaker 1: grumpy Ben Affleck begrudgingly took Jennifer Lopez photo after they
- 11:11Speaker 1: had a tense conversation in Saint Bart's. So the grumpy
- 11:14Speaker 1: looking actor and the glamorous diva were photographed, and they
- 11:19Speaker 1: didn't look that happy. They were at a high end
- 11:21Speaker 1: boutique on a Caribbean island. Everything should be good here.
- 11:25Speaker 1: They have enough money to buy everything in the store,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and they were looking at some jewelry and then Ben
- 11:30Speaker 1: was caught really furrowing his eyebrows and he put his
- 11:35Speaker 1: head into his hands, and they seemingly had a very
- 11:37Speaker 1: tense conversation, and she stood listening to him and peering around.
- 11:42Speaker 1: It wasn't good. You can tell their body language isn't good.
- 11:45Speaker 1: They've not done this. They've done this before, haven't they.
- 11:48Speaker 1: We've caught pictures of them just not looking that happy.
- 11:50Speaker 1: People think that he can look quite grumpy. And he
- 11:53Speaker 1: said he has a resting bh face. Ben's face when resting,
- 11:58Speaker 1: it's not happy happy. It's a frown. It's not a smile,
- 12:00Speaker 1: so don't read into it too much. But then the
- 12:03Speaker 1: seemingly unhappy actor whipped out his iPhone and started to
- 12:08Speaker 1: take pictures of Jennifer like he was a photographer, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: then suddenly everything was happy, happy, happy again. Jenn loves
- 12:14Speaker 1: to have a picture taken. I wonder if she'll post
- 12:16Speaker 1: them on Instagram. I hope she does. But Ben Law
- 12:20Speaker 1: has turned into Jen's photographer, and if you're taking a picture,
- 12:23Speaker 1: everything looks happy. He's quite a bossy bootstoo. So not
- 12:25Speaker 1: only is he a brilliant, brilliant actor, he's a brilliant
- 12:28Speaker 1: writer and director. So he loves to be behind the camera,
- 12:31Speaker 1: which is a good thing when you're married to Jennifer Lopez.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Because Jennifer likes a lot of attention. She's somebody else
- 12:36Speaker 1: that I worked for. I can confirm it's all about Jen.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I loved her. I thought she was amazing, one of
- 12:41Speaker 1: my favorite clients I ever ever worked for. But it's
- 12:43Speaker 1: definitely about Jen. It's the Jennifer Loupe Show, and I
- 12:47Speaker 1: think Ben Affleck. If you're listening, Gallawa laoa lao, you
- 12:50Speaker 1: have to you have to jump on that train. It
- 12:52Speaker 1: ain't gonna change. It's about Jen, So whip out the camera.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It's a good technique, isn't it. Do you have them
- 13:00Speaker 1: in your relationship? If you're having a fight, what do
- 13:03Speaker 1: you do to fix it? Sometimes I buy ice cream.
- 13:07Speaker 1: That always works. If I buy Brews a Bird ice
- 13:10Speaker 1: cream bar, it mostly works. Sometimes I'm overly nice, So
- 13:14Speaker 1: if I've been naughty, then I go to the other
- 13:17Speaker 1: extreme and I'm really, really nice. He would say, Clinger,
- 13:21Speaker 1: what do you do when your spouse is upset with you?
- 13:24Speaker 1: When you've upset your spouse with Jennifer, evidently you pull
- 13:27Speaker 1: out your iPhone and start taking pictures of her and
- 13:31Speaker 1: then suddenly everything is just wonderful. Oh it makes me laugh.
- 13:35Speaker 1: These two are in good shape. You're gonna hear stories
- 13:37Speaker 1: over the next couple of days that they're breaking go up,
- 13:39Speaker 1: it's over. They're not. They're very, very hot, bloody, the
- 13:43Speaker 1: two of them. They're very passionate, and I think that's
- 13:45Speaker 1: what makes their relationship so successful. They do love each other.
- 13:50Speaker 1: They didn't set up this life to walk away from it.
- 13:52Speaker 1: They're going to fight really hard to keep this relationship together.
- 13:56Speaker 1: And let's remember they really know each other. They've seen
- 13:58Speaker 1: each other at their best at the they know each other.
- 14:01Speaker 1: There's no surprises here. If you marry Ben Affleck, if
- 14:04Speaker 1: you date Ben Afrek, you gotta know he's a bit grumpy.
- 14:07Speaker 1: He's not always that happy. And if you marry Jennifer Lopez,
- 14:10Speaker 1: you gott to know she's a bit neasy. It's all
- 14:12Speaker 1: about Jen. Okay, quickly, before we get a break. Oprah
- 14:14Speaker 1: Winfrey is revealing a surprise cameo in The Color Purple,
- 14:17Speaker 1: saying it was a wonderful Easter egg so early in
- 14:20Speaker 1: the film. I hope this is no spoiler here, but
- 14:23Speaker 1: somebody from the old film makes an appearance. Someone that
- 14:28Speaker 1: was nominated for an oscar in the original movie pops
- 14:33Speaker 1: up in the cast as a midwife helping a young
- 14:37Speaker 1: Seally helping a young Seally give birth to her second child.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Oprah said, we thought it was a wonderful Easter egg
- 14:43Speaker 1: for our audiences who have appreciated the film over the years.
- 14:46Speaker 1: For the diehards, we also thought it would be lovely
- 14:50Speaker 1: to play homage to this actress. Now, some people thought
- 14:54Speaker 1: Oprah would be in the movie because she was in
- 14:55Speaker 1: the original movie. She said, no, no, no, it wasn't
- 14:58Speaker 1: about her, and she thought it would pull attention. And
- 15:01Speaker 1: she thought having this other star, a big star, you
- 15:04Speaker 1: know who she is, having her come back and just
- 15:07Speaker 1: be in one scene was a much much better idea. Plus,
- 15:10Speaker 1: then this made me laugh. She said that there was
- 15:13Speaker 1: a scene in the church and she could have been
- 15:14Speaker 1: in the congregation, and then she said, no, it would
- 15:18Speaker 1: be a distraction from the new Sophia. Plus, and this
- 15:21Speaker 1: probably is the real truth, she said, while they were
- 15:24Speaker 1: shooting this in the middle of Georgia, COVID was spreading everywhere,
- 15:28Speaker 1: and she was like, listen, I'm not gonna be sitting
- 15:30Speaker 1: in the church all day anyway, And she said, I
- 15:33Speaker 1: think this makes it much more special. Less is more.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I loved this movie. I like the original, I like
- 15:39Speaker 1: the musical on Broadway. I saw it twice. I love, love,
- 15:43Speaker 1: love this film. And when you see a familiar face
- 15:47Speaker 1: pop up as the Midwife, oh you're screaming. Just the delight.
- 15:51Speaker 1: If you're going to see a film this week, I
- 15:53Speaker 1: recommend the color purple. Okay, we're going to take a
- 15:55Speaker 1: quick break and we we'll be right back. Welcome back
- 16:00Speaker 1: at the Naughty Butt. Ninshelw on your host's rob Shooter
- 16:02Speaker 1: Garrett off today enjoying the new year with his family.
- 16:06Speaker 1: But don't worry, an Autois. We've got tons more gossip
- 16:09Speaker 1: to get to. Let's get to the polls, dull So.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Last show, we talked about Share, who filed for conservatorship
- 16:16Speaker 1: of her son Elijah Blue. We asked, is this the
- 16:19Speaker 1: Britney Spears? We asked, is this Britney Spears Part two?
- 16:23Speaker 1: Remember Brittany was under a conservatorship for thirteen years, a
- 16:26Speaker 1: really long time. Taking somebody's rights away from them is
- 16:30Speaker 1: a very very complicated thing, and when you do it
- 16:33Speaker 1: really happens. You're the boss. Now I think we can
- 16:35Speaker 1: trust Share. I wasn't so sure about Britney's dad, but
- 16:39Speaker 1: when Britney was put under conservatorship, there was no doubt
- 16:42Speaker 1: she needed it. Drugs were involved, she was off the
- 16:44Speaker 1: rails at the time. I'd done a photo shoot with
- 16:47Speaker 1: Brittany and it was a really sloppy. It was a
- 16:49Speaker 1: bad experience. I didn't know if she was to be
- 16:52Speaker 1: around much longer. It was that serious. Some people would argue,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and I think I would agree that Britney Spears's dad
- 16:57Speaker 1: saved her life. We don't know as much. He's not
- 17:01Speaker 1: as famous obviously as Britney Spears. However, we do no
- 17:05Speaker 1: share and I think her intentions are really good here,
- 17:08Speaker 1: but it is a conservatorship. It's the same thing that
- 17:11Speaker 1: Britney's dad did to Britney. Is this Britney Spears Part two? No,
- 17:15Speaker 1: you don't agree? Forty percent said yes, sixty percent said no.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's very different because Cher is no for Britney Spears
- 17:24Speaker 1: his dad. I agree with you. Noughties. Don't forget to
- 17:27Speaker 1: vote on today's poll. It's a tricky one today, isn't it.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Don't forget to vote to go to our Twitter page
- 17:31Speaker 1: at Naughty Nights rob our Facebook page and AUDIOSIP and
- 17:35Speaker 1: be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And now it's time for our nicest of the day.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Another color purple story. There's lots of press about the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Color Purple. The movie's out, it's doing great, breaking box
- 17:49Speaker 1: office records. And Fantasia, remember Fantasia from American idol Oh.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I wonder if she will be called into the Paula
- 17:56Speaker 1: Abdullah lawsuit. She was around at the time. Maybe she
- 17:59Speaker 1: saw I never thought about that. What about Kelly Clarkson,
- 18:03Speaker 1: What about all the other contestants? Will they be dragged
- 18:05Speaker 1: into it? Well, let's go back to our nicest of
- 18:07Speaker 1: the day. We'll get to that later, maybe tomorrow. So
- 18:10Speaker 1: Fantasia is saying her husband was the first person who
- 18:14Speaker 1: ever called her beautiful, and a queen who was the
- 18:17Speaker 1: first person that not only told you you were beautiful,
- 18:20Speaker 1: made you feel beautiful. Mine was Bruce. My mom and
- 18:24Speaker 1: dad were kind to me. Maybe not so much my dad,
- 18:26Speaker 1: but my mom and dad were kind. My mom was kind.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I don't know if she ever told me I was handsome.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I don't remember that, but I do remember the first
- 18:34Speaker 1: time Bruce said you're very, very handsome. I remember it.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's a really powerful moment. Has your partner ever called
- 18:42Speaker 1: you beautiful, handsome, or more importantly, you can't control what
- 18:46Speaker 1: they do, but you can control what you do. We're
- 18:48Speaker 1: tying back to the opening of the show. Here, call
- 18:50Speaker 1: someone you love today and let them know that you
- 18:53Speaker 1: think they are beautiful. Let them know, call them beautiful
- 18:57Speaker 1: and nicest of the day. And now I naughticed the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle is now going after the disabled community, saying
- 19:04Speaker 1: I love to punch down. So he seems to have
- 19:06Speaker 1: a new target on his latest Netflix stand up, the
- 19:10Speaker 1: disabled community. Ah so, remember he went after the LGPTQ
- 19:15Speaker 1: plus community, particularly focusing on transgender people, and he seems
- 19:22Speaker 1: to have been doing fine since then because he got
- 19:24Speaker 1: another special. And now during this special, he makes fun
- 19:29Speaker 1: of people who are disabled. Oh, I'm not gonna tell
- 19:33Speaker 1: you what he says. It's too gross. I don't want
- 19:35Speaker 1: to get into it. But it's not nice. It's not funny,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't think. He went on to declare that the
- 19:42Speaker 1: new marginalized community he's planning to focus on is going
- 19:47Speaker 1: to be disabled people, saying, quote, tonight, I'm doing all
- 19:52Speaker 1: handicapped jokes. They're not as organized as the gaze, and
- 19:56Speaker 1: I love to punch down. Ugh, maybe it's time we
- 20:02Speaker 1: moved on from you and took you off your pedestal
- 20:06Speaker 1: that you clearly think you were on. So no longer
- 20:08Speaker 1: you're punching down. In fact, let's hope you stop punching
- 20:13Speaker 1: all together. Okay, let's end with a moment a rub
- 20:15Speaker 1: you rob, You get a rub, You get a rub.
- 20:17Speaker 1: This new year, I want you to remember to follow
- 20:20Speaker 1: your heart, follow your heart, but take your brain with you.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I don't believe that it's either your heart or your brain.
- 20:27Speaker 1: When people say that, do you think with your head
- 20:29Speaker 1: or your heart? Think we both act with both. Follow both.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Follow your heart, follow your brain, and when they are
- 20:38Speaker 1: interwoven together, that's when you will find happiness, which I
- 20:44Speaker 1: want for all of us in this wonderful new Year
- 20:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. That's it for today. Thank you so
- 20:52Speaker 1: much for listening to the Naughty Bit Nice with Robin.
- 20:53Speaker 1: The Naughty You Show are production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget
- 20:56Speaker 1: to subscribe on the iHeartRadio Apple podcasts wherever you listen,
- 20:59Speaker 1: leave us review if you can, and remember altogether. Come on, noughties.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Let's say out loud for the very first time this year,
- 21:06Speaker 1: if you're going to be naughty, you've got to be
- 21:09Speaker 1: nice missan Raveless, Happy New Year. It's not even nice
- 21:14Speaker 1: with bro
