September 18 – When Something Isn’t Going Right
In today’s episode, Pastor Jenny shares a devotion from Luke 1:5–7 and the story of Zacharias and Elizabeth. Scripture describes them as righteous before God and faithful in walking according to His ways—yet immediately afterward tells us that they were childless. In their culture, barrenness could easily have been interpreted as evidence of God’s displeasure, but Scripture makes clear that this was not how God saw them. Pastor Jenny uses their story to challenge a tendency many of us have when something in life isn’t going the way we hoped: we immediately wonder, “God, what did I do wrong?”…
