- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of Eating While Broke.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I'm your host, Colleen Witt, and today we have very
- 0:06Speaker 1: special guests. Entrepreneur and entertainer Renegade Piranha is in the building.
- 0:12Speaker 1: How are you.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I'm amazing. This is fun.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Yes, you're lit. Thank you, thank you. Oh, we're gonna
- 0:18Speaker 1: have a really good time today. Because what you are
- 0:21Speaker 1: gonna have us eating today is one of my favorites.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I think it is to some degree. You're gonna adjust
- 0:27Speaker 1: my palate today. Yes, So what are you gonna have
- 0:30Speaker 1: me eating today? All right?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Super simple. I feel like it is the meal, the
- 0:34Speaker 2: struggle meal heard around the world that doesn't fail anyone. Eggs, eggs,
- 0:38Speaker 2: and bread will fill up your stomach, give you some protein, yep,
- 0:42Speaker 2: some good nutrients if you're low on it's a good
- 0:44Speaker 2: also like it's a good protein because it is high
- 0:46Speaker 2: in a lot of different nutrients.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Because it's a baby. Yeah, you're hilarious.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So then I'm a fan of cream cheese if I
- 0:54Speaker 2: can do it vegan cream cheese, okay, But for the
- 0:56Speaker 2: most part, it's a place where I'm willing to play
- 0:59Speaker 2: a little gamble game with lactose intolerance and then I
- 1:03Speaker 2: don't think this says struggle meal, but it says renegade style.
- 1:08Speaker 2: This is how we get through our day. I'm going
- 1:10Speaker 2: to smoke salmon because you, even while struggling, you have
- 1:14Speaker 2: to still maintain a taste of being a baller somewhere.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So where some people can like struggle throughout the day
- 1:22Speaker 2: because they have to eat eight times, Like I have
- 1:24Speaker 2: my stomach and checked. So if I have one good
- 1:26Speaker 2: meal in the morning or afternoon, I'm cool. The rest
- 1:30Speaker 2: of the day. I'll coffee and not my way.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Through renegag Just for all y'all listeners that can't watch it.
- 1:36Speaker 1: So Renegage is very petite, so I'm pretty this is
- 1:40Speaker 1: one hundred believable, understandable struggle meal for you.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so go ahead and feed us in the kitchen.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Get it work.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So in the kitchen. Also, this is funny because I
- 2:06Speaker 2: don't make food, Like I got my daddy's hands and
- 2:08Speaker 2: I got my mom's so you.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Don't usually cook. No, so how do you get by now?
- 2:14Speaker 1: You just order food.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Listen, we call it the la meal. It's called puh No.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I'm just kidding here. I'm not really a big foodie.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Food doesn't dictate my day. So usually I eat when
- 2:24Speaker 2: i'm I'm like, oh god, I shuf I eat.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I know that's not okay. I don't condone that behavior,
- 2:33Speaker 2: But my whole life I've never been a big zoomer
- 2:35Speaker 2: of food. I do like a good meal.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Okay. So on a typical day, if you were like,
- 2:41Speaker 1: if you weren't eating this, what would you be eat.
- 2:42Speaker 2: If it wasn't for my mother my whole life feeding us,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I would have been sister knows how to cook, my
- 2:47Speaker 2: brother knows how to cook. Not that I don't know
- 2:48Speaker 2: how to cook. I do know how to cook. I
- 2:49Speaker 2: just can't justify cooking for X amount of time and
- 2:52Speaker 2: then it being over so fast. Who has you? It's
- 2:55Speaker 2: like waiting in line for a roller coaster for three
- 2:57Speaker 2: hours and then it's thirty Like I eat so fast?
- 3:00Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I could never do a coursy meal either.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Okay, So what would you eat if you weren't eating
- 3:05Speaker 1: this right now? What would you be eating? What would
- 3:06Speaker 1: you eat today?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Like in this life? Yes, I just moved my parents
- 3:11Speaker 2: to La recently, so I would still just go to
- 3:13Speaker 2: my mom's house and.
- 3:13Speaker 1: See what okay, got it? And what does your mom cook?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Use?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Version food okay, all day, every day. Okay.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Now sometimes you'll throw in other foreigner meals too, yes,
- 3:22Speaker 2: whatever they may be. But I've yeah, but now there
- 3:25Speaker 2: was gaps in my life where I wasn't living close
- 3:28Speaker 2: enough to them to go steal food.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, So for those times, you're gonna catch me germinating
- 3:35Speaker 2: walnuts and slowly eating them all day, you're gonna catch
- 3:37Speaker 2: me with a bag of like almonds. You're gonna catch
- 3:40Speaker 2: all like. Also, as a youngster, I learned and I
- 3:43Speaker 2: heard a long time ago that a person that can
- 3:45Speaker 2: control their appetite can control other things in their life.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And I'm a big firm believer. And if it's a cliche,
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's been true for that many millions of people. So
- 3:55Speaker 2: there has to be something attached to that.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So for me, I don't need Okay, So take me
- 4:01Speaker 1: back to what was going on towards the eggs, cream, cheese,
- 4:04Speaker 1: lots and toast.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It's just easy because I don't nobody's guys time for that.
- 4:09Speaker 2: This will be done in two and a half minutes.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And if you're broke, you don't really got time to
- 4:11Speaker 2: be sitting around and cooking anyway, you shouldn't be trying
- 4:13Speaker 2: to get back to the bag.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Also when I don't have money, the times of my
- 4:16Speaker 2: life where I didn't have money, my appetite is attached
- 4:19Speaker 2: to that where I have certain friends of mine where
- 4:21Speaker 2: in distress they consume. Yeah, when I'm in distress, I'm
- 4:25Speaker 2: appetite's gone. I'm not sleeping, I'm not get busy. Yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 2: unless I'm super hungry, and then I'm like, let's just
- 4:32Speaker 2: sleep this off. We'll be back in forty five minutes,
- 4:34Speaker 2: and then you're back up, not hungry anymore.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah. So take me back to this time.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, living in La moving out here.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Where are you from?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Originally I'm originally from Iran, Rashed, Iran, Gilon, North Iran.
- 4:48Speaker 1: When did you move to the States?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Ninety four?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Okay, how old were you? Ten? Damn, We'll give it up. Sorry, Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: a ten year old baby? You? Where'd you guys move?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Originally Cincinnati? Cincinnati, now Cincinnati.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I used to ask that question all the time, Yo,
- 5:04Speaker 2: of all the cities, why do we pick here? My
- 5:07Speaker 2: dad had a business with his brother, okay and his
- 5:09Speaker 2: so I was a child.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Also, I'm really happy I lived in the nati Then
- 5:14Speaker 2: Natti really let me know what America is.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Okay, real America. Why do you say that?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Because it's really America. Look up the Natiya, It's really America.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It's a historically really wonderful and powerful like city, has
- 5:29Speaker 2: an insanely beautiful and expansive like black culture in America.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Then you get this really good taste of what that
- 5:42Speaker 2: actually looks like. The fun facts about Cincinnati. Muhammad Ali
- 5:46Speaker 2: threw his gold chains into the Ohio River right there
- 5:49Speaker 2: to commemorate all the people that had lost their lives
- 5:52Speaker 2: trying to go over that river to get to freedom.
- 5:54Speaker 2: The Freedom Center is there, there's a lot of So
- 5:56Speaker 2: I love Cincinnati, and at first I used to be
- 5:58Speaker 2: really upset about it. You know, why are we here?
- 6:02Speaker 2: Why do we use this? This is horrible, These people
- 6:04Speaker 2: are me, these people are racist, this is horrible. But
- 6:06Speaker 2: then you realize, no, you get this one on one,
- 6:10Speaker 2: close up, close representation of what the good, the bad,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and the ugly is of here. Yeah, so without getting
- 6:18Speaker 2: two deep, but we'll say that.
- 6:19Speaker 1: For another week. What made you want to move to
- 6:21Speaker 1: la That's so funny.
- 6:22Speaker 2: We were just talking about this. First of all, cannabis
- 6:27Speaker 2: obviously that. Yeah, one of the reasons the sunshine is
- 6:31Speaker 2: the other main reason is sunshine in the beach. But
- 6:33Speaker 2: in all reality, let's just add in the fact that
- 6:36Speaker 2: it's been legalized here since like the mid nineties.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So since the mid nineties. I thought it was recent, No,
- 6:43Speaker 1: since the mid ninety Okay, wait, let's backcheck. Okay, let's
- 6:46Speaker 1: backcheck too, because I'm start making this, yes, start making it.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Cook cook cook. So for all y'all that don't know,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I tried to purposely leave it out the title, but
- 6:54Speaker 1: renegade here is a celebrity, the original, one of a
- 6:59Speaker 1: kind blunt celebrity, blunt roller for the stars. Yeah, he's
- 7:04Speaker 1: starting the whole industry and start the industry of people.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Rolling for people. But it becoming a global phenomenon of
- 7:10Speaker 2: Oh Snoop has somebody rolling his blunts for him because
- 7:12Speaker 2: he was going around to every podcast he would give
- 7:14Speaker 2: people and he's arguably the biggest recognizable celebrity on the planet.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Knows who he is, Uncle Snoop. So then when he's
- 7:20Speaker 2: telling everybody, I got a roller, I gotta roller. I
- 7:21Speaker 2: never even said nothing about it. I was super quiet.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It was cool, But I'm like, yo, do you want
- 7:25Speaker 2: to get known to be for being like the rolling
- 7:28Speaker 2: server of people? You're still a service job. Also, I'm
- 7:30Speaker 2: making I'm an artist. I make art. I do all
- 7:33Speaker 2: types of things super side note, squirrel. I do my
- 7:36Speaker 2: eggs different.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I cooked the white.
- 7:38Speaker 2: First because I want the white all the way cooked,
- 7:40Speaker 2: and I want my yellow a little runny. So this
- 7:43Speaker 2: is something I developed over the years. White all the
- 7:48Speaker 2: way cooked. So you gotta let that chill for thirty seconds,
- 7:52Speaker 2: then you're gonna go back in.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I've never seen anything. Okay, did your mom teach you that?
- 7:57Speaker 2: No?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Okay for someone that doesn't like cook you're very particular.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I'm an artist. I do everything artfully with a finesse.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You got to make sure you got a little to that,
- 8:07Speaker 2: a little bit so far, then we gotta adds later.
- 8:09Speaker 1: When did your love for cannabis start to happen?
- 8:14Speaker 2: As a war baby who was born in the middle
- 8:16Speaker 2: of a war, I feel as a tender child. I
- 8:21Speaker 2: used it to be able to get through the days,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and I never did anything else. I was never into
- 8:26Speaker 2: I never was a drinker.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I never was like a.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Medicine prescribed or unprescribed. Yeah, taker, cannabis was always just
- 8:35Speaker 2: this really amazing thing. And then as time went on,
- 8:37Speaker 2: then we found out, oh shit, it really does have
- 8:39Speaker 2: medicinal properties, really can help you with anxiety or PTSD
- 8:45Speaker 2: or all of these other things.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So thank god my.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Intuitions had me into noition with it, so then I
- 8:51Speaker 2: was able to do that.
- 8:52Speaker 1: When did you start playing with How old were you
- 8:54Speaker 1: when you started playing with weed?
- 8:57Speaker 2: Playing with weed? Smoking?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Smoking cannabis?
- 9:00Speaker 2: All right, all right, eleven, But that's okay, I gotta
- 9:04Speaker 2: record this.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I keep forgetting the way you made these eggs.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't I didn't capture.
- 9:09Speaker 2: It war, baby, don't forget. I had to do what
- 9:11Speaker 2: I had to do to survive this life. If you
- 9:13Speaker 2: missed it, I put the egg yolks in for I
- 9:16Speaker 2: kept the yolk in the half of the egg. Yes, okay,
- 9:20Speaker 2: So then I let the white zoo to do because
- 9:22Speaker 2: I want the white crispy around.
- 9:23Speaker 1: But I love that you placed it actually on top
- 9:26Speaker 1: of that.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Because if you don't, then you run the risk of
- 9:28Speaker 2: it cracking upon You're hilarious.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I gotta see this. Are you gonna use those things
- 9:34Speaker 1: to flip it?
- 9:35Speaker 2: No? They don't flip flip it work unless you don't
- 9:38Speaker 2: unless you don't like egg yolk.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I am trying it however you make it. But this
- 9:42Speaker 1: shall be gravy. But is the egg yolk gonna be cooked?
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Bookie, as much as it needs to be girly pop,
- 9:51Speaker 2: I would never feed you raw eggs.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Okay, all right? So back to your story. So how
- 9:57Speaker 1: old were you when you try.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And feel like and TV? And then I shot him?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to know this.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Then I shot a gold block. No, I'm kidding. I
- 10:07Speaker 2: was kidding.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Is there trash? Nope?
- 10:09Speaker 2: A baby way too young, way too young. But also
- 10:11Speaker 2: there was reasons for why. Then my journey is my
- 10:14Speaker 2: journey because when you're young and you smoke, everyone's look,
- 10:17Speaker 2: you better not smoke nothing. Anybody else rolled you if
- 10:21Speaker 2: you don't smoke it unless you look now saying.
- 10:24Speaker 1: A baby, you moved here when you were tense, so
- 10:26Speaker 1: it's like you get it now before or after, Colleen bled,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I have to know because you're mentioning the war and everything, Like,
- 10:33Speaker 1: I what do we want to know? I want to
- 10:34Speaker 1: know where are you doing it? Before you came to
- 10:37Speaker 1: the state, okay, after where your parents areware.
- 10:39Speaker 2: This listen, this big shot out to method man Tupac
- 10:43Speaker 2: with big bunts in his mouth, and all my other
- 10:45Speaker 2: righteous leaders and teachers who taught me how to deal
- 10:48Speaker 2: with my pain and my suffering. To feel my pain,
- 10:51Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. So as to feel my pain,
- 10:54Speaker 2: you gotta get to you still got to make it
- 10:55Speaker 2: through the day. You don't get to get off the
- 10:57Speaker 2: roller coaster, whether it's high or low, whether your side
- 10:59Speaker 2: or you're high, like, you have to all hands in,
- 11:02Speaker 2: stay on that motherfucker until yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 2: So now, because we like olive oil and it's very
- 11:12Speaker 2: healthy for us, we're gonna do a little two step.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So are we doing? Is this an open?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Okay, it's an open casket. You're hilarious. So I'm saying,
- 11:23Speaker 1: is it like half open? That's too much bread?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Okay, we would never do that. That would be that's
- 11:29Speaker 2: mine because I touched it. Could be yours because I didn't
- 11:31Speaker 2: touch it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 11:32Speaker 2: A little ool, a little rural ool.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Okay, let's see here, let's see you do now. Okay,
- 11:38Speaker 1: cream cheese.
- 11:39Speaker 2: The key to cream cheese is seasoning your cream cheese.
- 11:42Speaker 2: One cheese on the bread. So we're gonna salt and
- 11:46Speaker 2: pepple the cream cheese. We're gonna pepper it more than
- 11:48Speaker 2: we're gonna salt it because you don't need that much sodium.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Thanks and gentlemen, you're very health conscious for show.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I only got one body, and I gotta live in
- 11:56Speaker 2: this motherfucker till I'm done.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Okay. So going back to your story, Oh, before you
- 12:02Speaker 1: moved to Los Angeles, you developed this passion for a cannabis.
- 12:07Speaker 2: See that passion for cannabis makes it sound like, no,
- 12:12Speaker 2: it was just it was what it was, but a passion, yes,
- 12:15Speaker 2: but I feel like it was more just a part
- 12:17Speaker 2: of it. A passion came when I was like, oh shit,
- 12:19Speaker 2: I could do this, make money off this.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Okay. But I'm saying you when you moved to LA,
- 12:24Speaker 1: what was the driving force to you moving to Los Angeles.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'm an artist, so I make music, so I was
- 12:29Speaker 2: coming out here to record music. My sister lived out
- 12:32Speaker 2: here before I moved out here, so I would always
- 12:34Speaker 2: come out here with her and work on my art
- 12:36Speaker 2: and different things like that. So my initial driving force
- 12:39Speaker 2: was I'm an artist and the world will pay me
- 12:44Speaker 2: to be me. I just didn't realize it was the
- 12:45Speaker 2: rolling part that they were doing. Also, we're not pee
- 12:51Speaker 2: popping up the charts. So somewhere I'm just happy that
- 12:54Speaker 2: i'd spit that real shit when I every time I
- 12:57Speaker 2: did hit a studio, and that it was.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Never for.
- 13:01Speaker 2: The hearts of man. It was for the people that
- 13:04Speaker 2: it's build your pyramid. Either they'll find your pyramid while
- 13:07Speaker 2: you're here, yeah, or you go and then ten thousand
- 13:10Speaker 2: years later they find your pramid. But either way, it
- 13:11Speaker 2: goes day by day. Carry those stones and build.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Your pairmid okay, turn off, turn off the stove. Oh yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 2: See, people that don't cook do shit like that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Just makes you don't touch that thing because it's hot. Yeah, okay,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I've never seen someone season have to. It was so
- 13:27Speaker 1: bland cheese with a lot of pepper, a lot of pepper.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Now she's going with.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Them, and I need to come down here so I
- 13:36Speaker 2: don't ruin your life.
- 13:39Speaker 1: So you're coming here. You can come to Los Angeles.
- 13:41Speaker 1: You're living with your sister, right, you're not. You just
- 13:45Speaker 1: know my sister. No, okay, let's see this. I've never
- 13:49Speaker 1: had Oh I forgot. We were ballers. Oh yeah, we
- 13:53Speaker 1: smoke salmon.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We can afford it.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Okay, So you move out, you save up money, you
- 13:58Speaker 1: move out on your own right away. Off rip. Wow,
- 14:02Speaker 1: what are your parents saying during this hole?
- 14:04Speaker 2: My parents are the most supportive humans on the planet. Also,
- 14:07Speaker 2: when you take off your salmon, don't rip it into shreds.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It's layered, It's got layers.
- 14:13Speaker 2: If otherwise, don't put no smushy mushy salmon on.
- 14:16Speaker 1: My on my bread. I want to like that.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I wanted to still look like a salmon.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Okay, you know what I'm saying. Okay, I like that.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I will save something for the crew on the.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Back for Jared. Jared was like, I like salmon two
- 14:31Speaker 1: salmon for you.
- 14:33Speaker 2: You gotta edit faster.
- 14:36Speaker 1: That looks cud.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks legit, thank you, bam wow.
- 14:42Speaker 1: And this yolk is for sure cooked.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Girl.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Watch on yo yo, this looks good. Are you gonna
- 14:51Speaker 1: pop it? No, I'm gonna Are you really?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Oh my mama?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Can oh my god? Can I get can you get
- 14:57Speaker 1: a zoom on that? She does it? Do you want
- 14:59Speaker 1: to try to right now?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah? So, because I don't like to waste my yolk,
- 15:04Speaker 2: and I worked hard for that perfect yok so what
- 15:06Speaker 2: I don't judge me. It's like a little yolk shocked.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I do. You don't have to got money. You want
- 15:19Speaker 2: to enjoy every bit of that egg. Keep it real,
- 15:22Speaker 2: don't lie, keep it real. It was good, right, Yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It's pretty good. So you don't waste it here.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, because if it gets all over the plate, now
- 15:29Speaker 2: you gotta look crazy licking off the plate.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It does taste good. It tastes like it does taste cool. Sorry,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I was hello judging.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I was like, No, that's okay, that's okay. You didn't
- 15:37Speaker 2: yuck my young you just questioned my yong.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm glad I did it like you.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That was good, well done.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna try this. It's pretty good. I've never
- 15:51Speaker 1: had egg with locks and cream cheese.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Also, it's a specialty situation because it's not something you
- 15:59Speaker 2: would necess be able to order from a restaurant for
- 16:02Speaker 2: food safety purposes. They wouldn't send that to you because
- 16:05Speaker 2: by the time that got to you, the heat from
- 16:07Speaker 2: the egg and the salmon would end up potentially creating botulism,
- 16:11Speaker 2: which would be horrible of a situation to have. So
- 16:14Speaker 2: it's something you can really do at home because you
- 16:16Speaker 2: need to consume it pretty fast.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I love it. Yeah, okay, yeah, I like it with yo. Okay,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you gotta win. She gets a win, all right. So
- 16:27Speaker 1: for the rating for this is definitely like probably depending
- 16:32Speaker 1: on your palate, I'd say like a seven to nine.
- 16:36Speaker 1: It's really good.
- 16:37Speaker 2: And if really gonna turn this up, we wouldn't used
- 16:39Speaker 2: like bors and cheese. We would have had a side
- 16:42Speaker 2: of like basil fresh mint fresh, basil freshmint fresh, like
- 16:46Speaker 2: terragon fresh cilantro for a little crunchity crunch on the side,
- 16:51Speaker 2: maybe like a couple of Charlottes something some sort of delicious.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It doesn't I love that. The look doesn't make you
- 16:58Speaker 1: feel like you're struggling either.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I'm telling you because at least like the other Like
- 17:03Speaker 2: I have friends who when they like run out of trees,
- 17:06Speaker 2: they'll smoke a little tiny mouse all days. No, if
- 17:09Speaker 2: that's your medicinal regiment, that's what you do. But if
- 17:12Speaker 2: you're used to a particular type of medicinal intake frequency,
- 17:17Speaker 2: I don't play games. I'm quitting smoke a one big
- 17:21Speaker 2: fat ass blunt, and then I'm stopping until I re
- 17:24Speaker 2: up again. I don't like to play.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I don't like to play with.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Myself like that. I don't like to tease myself with things,
- 17:32Speaker 2: and I'm very good with discipline, and I'm really good
- 17:35Speaker 2: with detachment. So those are things I've always really kept
- 17:39Speaker 2: at the forefront of all the things I do is
- 17:41Speaker 2: making sure that I can always detach. Yeah, and then
- 17:44Speaker 2: I always have some sort of discipline attached to it.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Because the world ends right now?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Could you quit?
- 17:48Speaker 2: If the apocalypse comes? You can't be chained and bound
- 17:52Speaker 2: to vices. That's why cannabis is such a wonderful vice
- 17:55Speaker 2: because it doesn't physically choke you. You can absolutely like
- 17:58Speaker 2: all right and we're done. Okay, I can't do this
- 18:01Speaker 2: right now. I gotta go to work all day or
- 18:02Speaker 2: I gotta.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Do what it is. Because there's some people that do
- 18:06Speaker 1: get addicted to it.
- 18:07Speaker 2: You can create an habitual need for it, so it
- 18:11Speaker 2: can any You can become addicted to anything. Yeah, I
- 18:13Speaker 2: work out every single day. I missed a day. I
- 18:15Speaker 2: don't feel good. I drink this much water every day.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I didn't get to drink water today. I don't feel good.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I got a headache from it. I drink coffee every day.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I get a headache.
- 18:22Speaker 2: When I don't consume it. So can you be affected
- 18:24Speaker 2: by it? Yes, But like as far as physical pains and.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Struggles like throwing up or anything like yeah.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Or like the things that someone going through like alcohol
- 18:34Speaker 2: recovering you have to deal with, or some sort of
- 18:36Speaker 2: other substance of detoxing. So you're detoxing it. Yeah, you're
- 18:40Speaker 2: gonna be irritable the same way you would be irritable
- 18:42Speaker 2: if you were used to doing anything every day and
- 18:44Speaker 2: you didn't get what you're used to. But that's now
- 18:47Speaker 2: just you having a bad attitude and you needn't check
- 18:49Speaker 2: yourself and you needed to figure out how you can
- 18:52Speaker 2: express yourself in another way somewhere else and then be cool. Yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 2: So that sounds like a you problem to me's Cannabis's fault.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So you moved to la u huh at your out
- 19:05Speaker 1: here pursuing music, I would assume, and your artistry. Okay,
- 19:09Speaker 1: at what point do you have inched me closer to
- 19:13Speaker 1: the opportunity where you say I have this opportunity to
- 19:19Speaker 1: create blunt rolling as a business. God is good.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I did not go looking for that opportunity. That opportunity
- 19:25Speaker 2: was created, and I happened to get topped on the
- 19:31Speaker 2: shoulder for it by a girl I knew who worked
- 19:33Speaker 2: at a dispensar I used to go to. None of
- 19:35Speaker 2: the story has already gone around.
- 19:36Speaker 1: What does that again?
- 19:37Speaker 2: So I knew a girl who worked at a dispensary.
- 19:39Speaker 2: She knew a guy who was part of a grow
- 19:41Speaker 2: that was gifting Uncle Snoop and they were looking for
- 19:45Speaker 2: someone to roll it for him. So then obviously King
- 19:48Speaker 2: Smoke should do as little work as possible. So they
- 19:51Speaker 2: were looking for someone. So the girl, because I knew her,
- 19:54Speaker 2: And when you're a good roller, to flex and I
- 19:56Speaker 2: don't pull muscles when I flex.
- 19:57Speaker 1: For this one, it.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Was always one of my badges of honor was I
- 20:01Speaker 2: could roll better than you. And like I said, that
- 20:04Speaker 2: comes from scarcity. That comes more from having to respect
- 20:08Speaker 2: this small amount we have. That everyone when you're younger
- 20:10Speaker 2: needs to get a couple of hits off them so
- 20:12Speaker 2: it can't fall apart midway. You can't get funny. It
- 20:15Speaker 2: needs to be done properly. So the girl was like,
- 20:17Speaker 2: please go, You're the best I've ever seen. And at
- 20:22Speaker 2: first I didn't believe her. I was like, this sounds
- 20:23Speaker 2: like a scam, like someone's trying to traffic you boogie.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Don't believe none of these lie, These men be lying
- 20:29Speaker 2: don't believe it. And she was like, no, I promise,
- 20:31Speaker 2: I know these people. She did her homework. I did
- 20:33Speaker 2: as much of it as I could. So I went
- 20:36Speaker 2: rolled for them. It was a whole thing, and they
- 20:38Speaker 2: were like, come back the next day. I went back
- 20:40Speaker 2: the next day. I just want to show them I
- 20:41Speaker 2: new how to roll. And then when I went back
- 20:42Speaker 2: the next day, I had to roll off with and
- 20:44Speaker 2: I called it the roll off. It wasn't called to
- 20:46Speaker 2: roll off. It wasn't a competition. But I guess to them,
- 20:48Speaker 2: they were like, let's see who could really Yeah, who
- 20:50Speaker 2: can do this for real without fumble or fold? And
- 20:56Speaker 2: I did what I do, yeah, And jokingly I said,
- 20:58Speaker 2: I smoked them, So I did. And then from that
- 21:02Speaker 2: day I was rolling like quarter pounds to a half
- 21:06Speaker 2: pounds a day, all day, every day, struggle face. And
- 21:09Speaker 2: those were the times where now we are not eating,
- 21:11Speaker 2: and now you're far away from the comforts of my
- 21:14Speaker 2: mother's food and all of those things.
- 21:16Speaker 1: But at this point you're getting paid to do this barely,
- 21:19Speaker 1: not such.
- 21:20Speaker 2: When I first started doing this, there was no because
- 21:23Speaker 2: it wasn't really even a thing. It wasn't and there
- 21:25Speaker 2: wasn't and there wasn't It wasn't a thing it was,
- 21:27Speaker 2: but it wasn't bad, but it wasn't where it is now.
- 21:30Speaker 1: So were you getting paid to do this?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yes? Yes, for sure, getting paid sitting in like a
- 21:34Speaker 2: room not where they are, just like off site, a
- 21:37Speaker 2: trap house if you will, and then just rolling up
- 21:39Speaker 2: all day assembly at all the cups, rolling them all day.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And then are you in the room by yourself or
- 21:45Speaker 1: is there other roller people with you?
- 21:50Speaker 2: Colleen, TV ladies and gentlemen. I was all by myself.
- 21:54Speaker 2: No one else was ever around. Okay, I don't know
- 21:56Speaker 2: anyone who else was there? Yeah, guns, sound was gonna
- 22:02Speaker 2: I'm just trying to get the whole picture. Man. It
- 22:04Speaker 2: was just me, No, but it was so all of
- 22:06Speaker 2: these I do by myself. There was other people obviously
- 22:08Speaker 2: around Swede. Yeah, okay, of course.
- 22:11Speaker 1: So you start making money, are at what point are
- 22:14Speaker 1: you calling home and saying, hey, guys, you're not gonna
- 22:16Speaker 1: believe this, but my day job is.
- 22:20Speaker 2: As as an artist. When you're in La anyway, I
- 22:23Speaker 2: feel like even the smallest gig you get, you're gonna
- 22:25Speaker 2: call back home and tell them you got it. But yeah,
- 22:28Speaker 2: when I first got it, there was a few people
- 22:29Speaker 2: in my life who I tell, but I always if
- 22:31Speaker 2: you follow me. Now, I'm trying to do better. I'm
- 22:33Speaker 2: trying to do better. I'm actually creating a community where
- 22:35Speaker 2: we can all hang out because apparently I suck at
- 22:37Speaker 2: social media, so I just I'm just gonna social and
- 22:39Speaker 2: then media the social instead of social media smart. So
- 22:42Speaker 2: y'all just come meet up with me. I'm setting up
- 22:43Speaker 2: a whole community. We're about to hang out. I'm gonna
- 22:46Speaker 2: start in LA and then I'm gonna expand out and
- 22:48Speaker 2: then I'm gonna have little like leaders and facilitators all
- 22:51Speaker 2: over and then through that I'll be able to teach
- 22:52Speaker 2: you guys how to roll and do all those other
- 22:54Speaker 2: cool things. But during that time, you're just out here
- 22:59Speaker 2: struggling to make something happen. So at that time, anything
- 23:04Speaker 2: that happens is exciting. But I've always been really private,
- 23:06Speaker 2: like I said, so I wasn't telling anybody. So that's
- 23:08Speaker 2: why when this whole thing went all over the world,
- 23:12Speaker 2: I was like, Wow, this happened.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So you're making money in the blunt rolling? At
- 23:18Speaker 1: what point do you say you start one? Would you
- 23:20Speaker 1: find out pretty early you're rolling for snoop Dogg immediately immediately.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Now as an artist, what was your thought process? Was
- 23:28Speaker 1: there any part of you that.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I mean, this guy got songs with Tupac it's lit.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yeah, he is.
- 23:33Speaker 2: One of the Disciples, He's one of the twelve Disciples.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Are you also thinking maybe at some point can I
- 23:37Speaker 1: slip him some music?
- 23:38Speaker 2: No?
- 23:39Speaker 1: Never, not at all.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I've never ever been like that ever in my life.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Also as a rapper, I know, ain't nobody, Ain't no
- 23:45Speaker 2: other rapper about to put you on or nothing like that. Also,
- 23:47Speaker 2: there's nothing free here, like I said, so I never ever.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Was on that.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Also, I wasn't even around them for real, Like I
- 23:53Speaker 2: knew his son, I knew his daughter like I knew
- 23:55Speaker 2: just from them being around because they got more time
- 23:57Speaker 2: to pull up to the different facilities that you know
- 23:59Speaker 2: are from places, but I didn't. I met him for
- 24:02Speaker 2: the first time at his daughter's birthday party, and I
- 24:04Speaker 2: was like, I rolled all the bunks for you.
- 24:05Speaker 1: He was like, oh shit, that's lit. I was like, thanks,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I've been in some of this little me his parties
- 24:11Speaker 1: are pretty like nice.
- 24:12Speaker 2: They're like I mean, like I said, you are looking
- 24:15Speaker 2: at one of the most recognizable humans on the planet
- 24:18Speaker 2: would probably be like Michael Jackson, Jesus, snoop, if you
- 24:22Speaker 2: have to stick faces out like maybe Tupac with the
- 24:25Speaker 2: bandana might be recognizable globally like that, but snoops, he's
- 24:28Speaker 2: just so well known all over.
- 24:30Speaker 1: So at what point do you said you're going to
- 24:32Speaker 1: scale the business.
- 24:33Speaker 2: I'm a hustler, see, I come from hustlers. So once
- 24:36Speaker 2: I because I was already doing like the bud bars
- 24:40Speaker 2: next to liquor bars at the after hours, so I
- 24:43Speaker 2: was already I'm a hustler baby next to in La
- 24:46Speaker 2: there's always liquor bars, but people forget everyone here smokes.
- 24:49Speaker 2: So I used to do these after hours parties as
- 24:52Speaker 2: a facilitator, not to participate, and I just I suggested
- 24:55Speaker 2: to the homie rest of fees Leon. I suggested to him.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I was like, yo, what if we just do a
- 24:59Speaker 2: bud bar next to it once again? Now we're flat
- 25:02Speaker 2: tving ourselves again, so I can't be held accountable for
- 25:04Speaker 2: the things I've done in the past. But yeah, so
- 25:07Speaker 2: we did that. And then now when I was rolling
- 25:10Speaker 2: for myself, I was never using cigar glue. So when
- 25:12Speaker 2: you roll for self, the one two internationally, if you
- 25:17Speaker 2: whether you roll cigarettes, whatever, you're gonna use your Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 2: you stebos it. So when I started rolling professionally, the
- 25:26Speaker 2: immediate thing was like, we gotta get cigar glue. There's
- 25:28Speaker 2: no way. I'm not my mouth is not gonna fall off. Yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 2: like you not many of my own I roll to day.
- 25:33Speaker 2: You want me to add this many? There's no way
- 25:34Speaker 2: on God's green arts, we gotta get cigar glue. So
- 25:37Speaker 2: we started getting cigar glue. And then after a couple
- 25:40Speaker 2: of months, the supplier we had landed on that had
- 25:42Speaker 2: the best one was on like some type of back order,
- 25:44Speaker 2: so we had a two week We don't have cigar glue,
- 25:48Speaker 2: so we try to order all these other brands that
- 25:49Speaker 2: were horrible, and you gotta remember I gotta go through
- 25:51Speaker 2: hundreds a day. So then through that I developed my
- 25:54Speaker 2: own cigar glube.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I was about to ask what okay?
- 25:58Speaker 2: And then so now that ties back into I remember
- 26:01Speaker 2: when I first started. Now you got to get your
- 26:03Speaker 2: dexterity completely. Now it's the same function as rolling, but
- 26:07Speaker 2: now you have to learn to seal without the assistance
- 26:10Speaker 2: of your mandible.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 2: So once I got good with that, and then I
- 26:14Speaker 2: was able to do more and more, like faster, faster, faster.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I was like you, I could do a shower.
- 26:19Speaker 2: So then I was like blunt bars. So then I
- 26:21Speaker 2: reached out to a couple people I knew that were
- 26:23Speaker 2: lit and then it just went from So it was
- 26:26Speaker 2: like I've done like a bunch of like random MTV events,
- 26:28Speaker 2: rolled up allen Iverson events, like the locks and like
- 26:32Speaker 2: the most random places. Because anywhere where there's a liquor bar,
- 26:36Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, Rannegade should be hired to do a
- 26:39Speaker 2: blunt bar because do you think your patrons only want
- 26:41Speaker 2: to drink?
- 26:42Speaker 1: That's very smart? They don't. Very smart, entrepreneur of you,
- 26:46Speaker 1: Thank you. But now with the with your own brand
- 26:48Speaker 1: of cigar glue, how did you want to see it? Oh?
- 26:54Speaker 1: You have it here of course? Did I bring it
- 26:58Speaker 1: to show coldly? I break it to show you. Yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 1: this is it I want to see.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Thank you. Oh it looks like the first round. Any
- 27:09Speaker 2: people out there that are experts at this, get at
- 27:12Speaker 2: me at Renegade, piranha.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It looks very sexy. So how do you do it?
- 27:16Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Papa lid uh huh? And then you're paint brush on
- 27:21Speaker 2: it yeah. So throughout the years, whenever I would roll
- 27:23Speaker 2: up myself, if you've seen it, if I'm sure people
- 27:27Speaker 2: have can post videos of me doing it, I've seen it.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I usually have a cup with a actual paint brush
- 27:33Speaker 2: in it because it's the easiest way to precision apply okay,
- 27:37Speaker 2: and then be able to go under it or whatever
- 27:39Speaker 2: do all the things essentially would potentially do.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Yeah, well I guess yeah, pause, So.
- 27:47Speaker 2: It's perfect for that. So you just twist it up
- 27:48Speaker 2: and then you literally see yeah, and it's food grade
- 27:53Speaker 2: so you can get it. I don't see gest you
- 27:55Speaker 2: do that, because now you just made it not sanitary,
- 27:57Speaker 2: but it's edible one ingredient began gluten free and all that.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But you would literally put it in place of your saliva. Okay,
- 28:05Speaker 2: So wherever you would seal.
- 28:07Speaker 1: It is where you would put it. Wow. So now
- 28:11Speaker 1: do you go to different dispensaries and you sell these products?
- 28:16Speaker 2: So those I'm currently looking to clone myself, if you
- 28:19Speaker 2: guys also have access to someone who knows how to clone, somebody,
- 28:22Speaker 2: keep their intelligence tapped in. I'll do that. But right now,
- 28:25Speaker 2: I'm so nine years in to professional rolling. Are my
- 28:31Speaker 2: hands okay, yes, they're okay, but I would like to
- 28:35Speaker 2: sway from just the artisan part of the actual execution
- 28:41Speaker 2: manufacturing of said to then getting in my educational bag
- 28:45Speaker 2: and my consumption education bag. So I've been working on
- 28:48Speaker 2: a book, okay, and I plan on teaching all over
- 28:53Speaker 2: the world and one day doing like a course at
- 28:54Speaker 2: Harvard about cannabis consumption, because it's a global think and
- 29:01Speaker 2: there's no education on consumption, from how to consume quite literally,
- 29:06Speaker 2: how to inhale exhale, how to dose yourself out, how
- 29:10Speaker 2: to not deal with all of the things that come
- 29:12Speaker 2: with it. Also then just regular education on it, because
- 29:17Speaker 2: that's the biggest thing is and the more we know,
- 29:19Speaker 2: the better everything is. And I know a lot and
- 29:22Speaker 2: these this knowledge is not Some of it is obtained
- 29:25Speaker 2: through knowing experts, and God bless the experts I know,
- 29:29Speaker 2: but a lot of the should you really had to
- 29:30Speaker 2: be there. So if you weren't there, what are we
- 29:32Speaker 2: talking about? You don't know, You're just talking, You're just chatting.
- 29:36Speaker 2: You don't know nothing, you don't know nothing, You're just talking.
- 29:39Speaker 2: And that's the biggest thing too now is a lot
- 29:40Speaker 2: of people are like, is AI helping with your book?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Try to find education on cannabis on AI, I dare
- 29:45Speaker 2: you at most AI can tell you is like different
- 29:49Speaker 2: strain names maybe that have already been uploaded into a
- 29:51Speaker 2: website that has the strains, but a lot of this knowledge,
- 29:54Speaker 2: it's our duty to give it to the world to
- 29:57Speaker 2: it then AI has something to spit out for you quickly. Yes,
- 30:00Speaker 2: Like the complex knowledge has to be able to be
- 30:04Speaker 2: taught in a simple way. So now we got to
- 30:07Speaker 2: download all the shit out of our brains just from
- 30:09Speaker 2: the thing, and then we can't play ourselves either. This
- 30:11Speaker 2: really is expertise. This really is multi gazillion dollar industries
- 30:16Speaker 2: that some people are still locked up for. We'll get
- 30:18Speaker 2: to that later, but this is These are multi multimillion dollar,
- 30:21Speaker 2: billion dollar businesses and industries. So education is always important.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yes, going back to your story, how long have you
- 30:29Speaker 1: had the cigar glue out for? What is the name
- 30:32Speaker 1: of this, It's called the Renegade, the renegade, the renegadess.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Mitigate adhesive, Renegade cigar glue.
- 30:38Speaker 1: How long has it been?
- 30:39Speaker 2: So, I've been using it since for about nine years now,
- 30:43Speaker 2: and that's why it's such a perfect product. I've rolled
- 30:46Speaker 2: hundreds of that arguably half a million blunts and joints
- 30:51Speaker 2: using it, using this exact formula, this consistency of it
- 30:54Speaker 2: my own formula, and not one has fallen apart. And
- 30:57Speaker 2: we've had quite famous people on big stages pull them
- 31:01Speaker 2: out and light them after as much time since handing
- 31:04Speaker 2: it off. So it's a tried and true product, and
- 31:08Speaker 2: it's something that if you barely know how to roll, it'll.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Make it easier.
- 31:12Speaker 2: If you're a good roller, it'll make it hella easy.
- 31:15Speaker 2: And if you're a master roller, you're about to go
- 31:17Speaker 2: dumb because you've never seen something work so perfect.
- 31:21Speaker 1: So where can people get? Get it and get it?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Where can people get the Renegade?
- 31:25Speaker 2: So right now Renegade dot com, Like I said, army
- 31:28Speaker 2: of one and I know, but working on all of
- 31:30Speaker 2: these things all together. So website is done. I just
- 31:32Speaker 2: got to work out a couple of the little tiny kinks.
- 31:34Speaker 2: You want to come join the team.
- 31:36Speaker 1: So for the last nine years have people been able
- 31:38Speaker 1: to purchase this through me? Through you directly? Okay? Perfect?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Then once? So now you have at this point you're
- 31:46Speaker 1: rolling professionally for a company. Then you're you have this
- 31:50Speaker 1: client for a client for a cigar glue, and then
- 31:53Speaker 1: how do you start gaining other clients?
- 31:55Speaker 2: Is everything's been worth them out, everything's been worth of
- 31:58Speaker 2: mouth for my whole life, which is why now I'm like, damn,
- 32:02Speaker 2: imagine I actually like fake average, Like imagine I gave
- 32:05Speaker 2: myself the marketing I've given all the brands I've done
- 32:07Speaker 2: marketing for. Yeah, but it's cool. It's cool being sasquash
- 32:10Speaker 2: and being bigfoot and like just doing what you do
- 32:14Speaker 2: in the course and then one day they spot you
- 32:16Speaker 2: and then it becomes a thing. So that also weirdly
- 32:19Speaker 2: goes with my integrity to this whole thing, is that
- 32:22Speaker 2: this wasn't what I pursued to get acknowledged for or whatever.
- 32:27Speaker 2: But I believe there's always greater messages, or there's greaterst
- 32:30Speaker 2: purposes to things. And I'm a hustler. You know how
- 32:33Speaker 2: many people are now like, yo, I really do this.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I make money. I found myself some clients. I didn't
- 32:38Speaker 2: even know this was a thing. Yeah, shoutouts to all
- 32:41Speaker 2: of you. I read all the messages. I'm sorry. I
- 32:44Speaker 2: don't necessarily get back, but I'm learning too.
- 32:48Speaker 1: At what point do you are you not working any
- 32:52Speaker 1: other job but just doing blunt rolling?
- 32:55Speaker 2: No, I've never believed in starving artists in any capacity.
- 32:58Speaker 2: And as long as my heart is beating and my
- 33:01Speaker 2: hands work and my legs even shit, even if my
- 33:04Speaker 2: legs stop working, I'll figure it out. And my hands
- 33:06Speaker 2: stop working, I'll figure it out. So No, I do
- 33:07Speaker 2: believe in doing other things. Also, this is very like labor,
- 33:11Speaker 2: and it's very repetitive. Yeah, I'm up here with a
- 33:14Speaker 2: lot of my shit too, Not that I don't respect
- 33:18Speaker 2: labor and things like that as a.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you're an entrepreneur for sure. Entrepreneur and artists, so
- 33:24Speaker 1: clearly the mental is for sure. But in this industry
- 33:27Speaker 1: that you're in, where it's very unique, people want your
- 33:30Speaker 1: hands on their blunts. Yeah, how are you able to
- 33:34Speaker 1: scale the business up where you're only working for yourself? One?
- 33:39Speaker 1: And two? Is there a way to replicate replica yourself
- 33:44Speaker 1: without harming the brand?
- 33:47Speaker 2: Right? So the situation, No, it's it's really well said too.
- 33:51Speaker 2: So other things I did. So we were talking about earlier,
- 33:54Speaker 2: like how much bread were we making doing this? At
- 33:55Speaker 2: the beginning it wasn't much, And to this day, I'll
- 33:58Speaker 2: take any I got twenty four hours of my they
- 34:00Speaker 2: only really got to sleep forty five minutes so I
- 34:02Speaker 2: can work. But I was head of marketing for Eco
- 34:05Speaker 2: Styler Jail Eco Jail. I worked for them from twenty
- 34:09Speaker 2: seventeen to about twenty twenty one, and then I was
- 34:13Speaker 2: head of marketing for Ampro, which is Shining Jam, another
- 34:16Speaker 2: beauty brand.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Okay, oh, I know them.
- 34:18Speaker 2: It's not going from Pepsi to Coca Cola Co Cola Pepsi,
- 34:21Speaker 2: but that's neither here nor there. So then I worked
- 34:23Speaker 2: with them for a couple of years, and just last
- 34:26Speaker 2: year my time with Ampro came to a beautiful suite finish. Yeah,
- 34:31Speaker 2: so now I'm much more into my rolling all the
- 34:35Speaker 2: time bag. But that's also then why I have You
- 34:38Speaker 2: have to picture where you're going. You have to put
- 34:40Speaker 2: in your GPS where your destination is. It'll reroute you
- 34:44Speaker 2: potentially we might even get deterred or delayed or whatever
- 34:47Speaker 2: it might be. But I have to tell myself where
- 34:48Speaker 2: I want to go. So where I want to go
- 34:50Speaker 2: is education. Where I want to go is having. Also
- 34:53Speaker 2: then a Renegade Parana line of auxiliary products. I like
- 34:58Speaker 2: that that are geared towards consumption consumption excellence. I don't
- 35:04Speaker 2: particularly care whether you like Sativa dominant or indicica dominant.
- 35:09Speaker 2: That's your personal preference because it's medicinal. How you consume it.
- 35:13Speaker 2: You like papers, you want to split, you want a blunt,
- 35:15Speaker 2: you want to whatever. Then the blunt is you smoke,
- 35:18Speaker 2: grab a leaf, you smoke woods, you smoke whatever.
- 35:21Speaker 1: It is. Cool.
- 35:22Speaker 2: This will make all of those experiences better, easier, more healthy,
- 35:27Speaker 2: more sanitized, healthy, cleaner, And nobody wants to take somebody's
- 35:32Speaker 2: spit when they Now I'm a proponent of smoke your own,
- 35:35Speaker 2: but if you are going to pass it, please don't
- 35:36Speaker 2: lick that thing and then give it to one of
- 35:38Speaker 2: your friends, because that's horrible. I say, everybody smoke their own,
- 35:40Speaker 2: leave me alone. Roll your own, no need to reach.
- 35:43Speaker 2: We got enough for each. But no matter what the
- 35:47Speaker 2: circumstances are, whether you're pow wow and cipher and dolo
- 35:50Speaker 2: smoking in a cipher, whatever it is, smoke better.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Is there other products that you're looking forward to do
- 35:57Speaker 1: outside of the book.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there's so there's a lot of auxiliary products attached
- 36:02Speaker 2: to that. So right now, the other thing I'm see,
- 36:04Speaker 2: I don't want to give it all away, but there's
- 36:06Speaker 2: other things I'm developing to help with my teaching courses
- 36:11Speaker 2: to help with people's like dexterity, to help you gain
- 36:14Speaker 2: your confidence when it comes to actually then grabbing that
- 36:17Speaker 2: paper and twisting in and all those things a line
- 36:20Speaker 2: of auxiliary products that are attached to the book. Okay,
- 36:24Speaker 2: so then all everything obviously comes together or the book
- 36:27Speaker 2: is then attached to the rolling.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Okay, got it?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Which one came first? To chicken on everything? Yeah, just
- 36:31Speaker 2: eat the sandwich.
- 36:31Speaker 1: So are you what's the day in the life of you?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Right now?
- 36:36Speaker 2: I've got to roll a pound of a guess And
- 36:38Speaker 2: like future said, gotta roll the found up a guess?
- 36:42Speaker 2: Then I really do. I actually got four of my
- 36:43Speaker 2: house right now.
- 36:44Speaker 1: They got to get rolled.
- 36:45Speaker 2: So yeah, get up right now.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I go.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I work out with Ashley Verrint in the morning.
- 36:51Speaker 1: She was a guest to join.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Ye see you in the morning. We get there at
- 36:56Speaker 2: six thirty am.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Six thirty And what time do you guys? Rep?
- 36:59Speaker 2: Eight seven thirty about an hour we'll we get whooped?
- 37:02Speaker 1: Where are you guys working at it? I'll tell you
- 37:04Speaker 1: that later, Okay, come on, continue. I was just saying,
- 37:11Speaker 1: la outside and outside it's in the park.
- 37:14Speaker 2: So it's totally different too, because at the gym, you
- 37:16Speaker 2: feel like you really are doing something and you get
- 37:18Speaker 2: outside those elements become a part of it and you're like, oh,
- 37:22Speaker 2: I'm not fit.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I told Ashley when she came through that we work
- 37:26Speaker 1: out again. We never did, so I'll definitely do a following.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Yeah, she's incredible and her boyfriend is who leads our class,
- 37:32Speaker 2: so he's super fire guru Jay and it's no secrets.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Just work on Instagram if you I want to follow them.
- 37:38Speaker 2: But okay, we'd be at the park getting it in.
- 37:41Speaker 2: I call it murder at the park because we really
- 37:42Speaker 2: get killed up there every morning.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I love that. Okay, So a day in the life
- 37:46Speaker 1: is you go to the gym first thing in the morning, then.
- 37:47Speaker 2: With first ting mine, I get up at five.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Your body looks amazing, thank you. Yes, So you get
- 37:56Speaker 1: up at five and then.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Get up at five and then I'm out my house
- 38:00Speaker 2: by six and then I'm back home by eight. And
- 38:03Speaker 2: then you give up a couple of things when you
- 38:07Speaker 2: give up stability. Yeah, and so I haven't seen a
- 38:10Speaker 2: weekend in fifteen years. Every day of my life is
- 38:14Speaker 2: a Monday morning and then maybe a Friday night or
- 38:17Speaker 2: Monday night, depending on how the nights, we might go
- 38:19Speaker 2: to bed early. We might be up till two three
- 38:21Speaker 2: in the morning working on whatever. Then that thing is
- 38:24Speaker 2: so it really depends on what the clients want or
- 38:26Speaker 2: like what the orders are. If it's a big dummy order,
- 38:29Speaker 2: then I'm immediately going back home and rolling.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Up, Yeah, showering. How long does it take roll a pound?
- 38:35Speaker 2: So typically if I can, I request three to four days,
- 38:39Speaker 2: so then I could do a quarter pound a day.
- 38:41Speaker 2: But I've turned one in twenty four hours.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah wow? But how long does it take you
- 38:47Speaker 1: to physically do it?
- 38:48Speaker 2: So whole thing, put it in, smooth it out, the
- 38:52Speaker 2: whole thing, probably like less than sixty seconds.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Holy cow, you're like a machine at this point.
- 38:58Speaker 2: No, I've really broken my hands down to him. I
- 39:00Speaker 2: was not there before. Promise you had. You caught me then,
- 39:03Speaker 2: because you have to break your fingers. And then that's
- 39:05Speaker 2: why when the homie asked, like how's your hands? Because
- 39:07Speaker 2: I get asked that all the time, like how's your hands?
- 39:09Speaker 1: You got art?
- 39:11Speaker 2: I don't have hair braiders. Yeah, it's the same thing
- 39:13Speaker 2: at that A lot of hair braiders don't use their
- 39:16Speaker 2: finger muscles to move the hair. So now two things happen.
- 39:20Speaker 2: They end up giving themselves really bad hand arthritis because
- 39:23Speaker 2: they're not actually like properly. It's dexterity. You have to
- 39:27Speaker 2: properly move your muscles the right ways if you do
- 39:29Speaker 2: any sort of exercise. If you do it wrong, you
- 39:31Speaker 2: pull a muscle and you're cramping your hands. So when
- 39:34Speaker 2: you like fully engage your hand and don't lazy roll
- 39:37Speaker 2: or don't lazy braid, end up having a lot more stamina. Okay,
- 39:41Speaker 2: so I had to really truly you know how they
- 39:44Speaker 2: say betomine cut between his fingers so you can get up. Yeah,
- 39:47Speaker 2: I didn't really do that, but like somewhere, I had
- 39:49Speaker 2: to really break my hands into not getting tired in
- 39:53Speaker 2: this position and not getting tired in this position and
- 39:56Speaker 2: holding it here and this oh wow.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah wow. Okay, So when do you get your orders?
- 40:00Speaker 1: Are they now from companies or celebrities or is it
- 40:03Speaker 1: like a mix.
- 40:04Speaker 2: It's mainly private clients and like private events, and they'll
- 40:08Speaker 2: just be like, hang at you brands because brands can't
- 40:10Speaker 2: can't afford me. But if you can't holler at me.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Because it's brands can't afford you.
- 40:15Speaker 2: No, because a brand is looking for their bottom dollar
- 40:17Speaker 2: a brand isn't also, and it also depends on the consumer.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Some people are like, I'll just take any pre roll.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Some people are like, no, I'm not smoking that. I
- 40:24Speaker 2: want like an actual roll up of really good, exotic,
- 40:28Speaker 2: high grade flower that's been grown in a really healthy,
- 40:33Speaker 2: organic way without it. So the flower selection from the
- 40:37Speaker 2: person is probably important. So it depends on who you're
- 40:40Speaker 2: dealing with. Some people eat McDonald's every day or whatever,
- 40:43Speaker 2: and they're cool with that. Some people hire a private
- 40:46Speaker 2: chef to make sure that they can ensure that they're
- 40:48Speaker 2: getting their nutritional return on investment when they can live
- 40:52Speaker 2: a longer life. So are a fancy schmancy You're gonna
- 40:55Speaker 2: be like, no, I need super high end flower, but
- 40:57Speaker 2: I also don't want to sit around and roll it. Yeah,
- 41:00Speaker 2: So then that's where then I enter the chat.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Now, have you had anybody ever try to negotiate with you?
- 41:06Speaker 2: Oh? My god?
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yes? And what do you stay on camera? I feel
- 41:10Speaker 1: like you keep moving around? She's good on camera right there? Sorry,
- 41:16Speaker 1: So what do you do in those situations? Do you
- 41:18Speaker 1: have a I don't deal with like cheap o's or whatever,
- 41:20Speaker 1: because I know in business we have a saying like
- 41:22Speaker 1: not all money is good money. When someone starts to
- 41:25Speaker 1: haggle a little, I always getting nervous and saying, maybe
- 41:27Speaker 1: I shouldn't do business.
- 41:28Speaker 2: With them, no one yeah, and the wise words of
- 41:30Speaker 2: the girlypop's brokey yeah, like we don't And it's not
- 41:33Speaker 2: even because I'm cool. Also, like I believe in treating
- 41:38Speaker 2: everyone where they are and respecting everyone for what they
- 41:41Speaker 2: can offer you. If you only have this to offer,
- 41:44Speaker 2: you're only offering me out of that. So I'm not
- 41:46Speaker 2: going to be offended by small offers if that's what
- 41:48Speaker 2: you have. But it's amazing, Like how many people who
- 41:53Speaker 2: in your mind you're like, oh, I know they got red. Yeah,
- 41:55Speaker 2: all those films and all those albums or all those games,
- 41:59Speaker 2: all these championships, all those whatever it is that you're
- 42:02Speaker 2: in your head, you're like, they got it. But a
- 42:04Speaker 2: lot of times those clients are the ones that go
- 42:07Speaker 2: back and forth or like they're used to maybe being gifted.
- 42:11Speaker 2: And I have some of the best clients that are
- 42:12Speaker 2: also really rich and they pay right on time and
- 42:14Speaker 2: they're amazing. But you'd be surprised, and I'm not you,
- 42:19Speaker 2: but some viewers may be surprised at who that like
- 42:24Speaker 2: claims to.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Be a baller really will.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Like there's people right now that still owe me bread
- 42:29Speaker 2: from the last order I gave them because they gave
- 42:30Speaker 2: me a shortened amount of what the initial contract was.
- 42:34Speaker 1: What and you have them signed to con you are
- 42:36Speaker 1: do you have to do the collect dead in business
- 42:40Speaker 1: for all those that don't know. Sometimes, if you are
- 42:43Speaker 1: like an entrepreneur that's still trying to scale, you have
- 42:46Speaker 1: to play a good cop backup, and collections is always
- 42:48Speaker 1: like a very terrible dance. You can't if you can't
- 42:52Speaker 1: pretend to be a back crop, because sometimes being the
- 42:56Speaker 1: seller and being the collector almost has to be two
- 42:58Speaker 1: different people. And so I know, for me, even with
- 43:02Speaker 1: eating while broke, we still have to have good cop
- 43:05Speaker 1: back cop because if you try to collect and you're
- 43:07Speaker 1: also the seller, people can take it it's personal, or
- 43:10Speaker 1: people can go, oh she'll understand or whatever. If you
- 43:12Speaker 1: have your I have always in every company you own,
- 43:15Speaker 1: I always have an imaginary bad cop that comes has
- 43:17Speaker 1: a different alias and their job is to copy the
- 43:20Speaker 1: real Colleen, which is me.
- 43:22Speaker 2: And yeah, let's clone yourself.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I literally just make up because it's emails. I make
- 43:27Speaker 1: up another email with a whole nother identity and that
- 43:30Speaker 1: person copies me, and then I am the good cop.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my gosh, the balance is it's so great.
- 43:37Speaker 1: It's so great.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Is it gonna email you Colleen now?
- 43:43Speaker 1: But the truth of the matter is you can play
- 43:45Speaker 1: good cop back hop and get your collections because if
- 43:47Speaker 1: you don't have that bad cop. And this is what
- 43:49Speaker 1: I'll say on the email, I'm like, damn, Joe in
- 43:54Speaker 1: accounting is tripping over this invoice? Can you send it?
- 43:57Speaker 1: Because I'm trying to I'm trying to root for you
- 43:59Speaker 1: in this me on email talking to my fake self.
- 44:02Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying out is gonna be really
- 44:05Speaker 1: mad if she finds out exactly, And I swear to
- 44:08Speaker 1: god it works.
- 44:09Speaker 2: It works because they're like, you advocate for yourself, But
- 44:12Speaker 2: it's hard to advregate for yourself. Like you said, when
- 44:13Speaker 2: you're an entrepreneur, you can't go in and be like hey,
- 44:16Speaker 2: because you're just excited to have a client. You're excited
- 44:19Speaker 2: that somebody is supporting your business.
- 44:21Speaker 1: But at the same time, especially if they're repeat too,
- 44:23Speaker 1: it gets yeah, tricky.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Thank god, I've never had for me. If you've been cool,
- 44:28Speaker 2: you've been cool. The whole time in never one hour,
- 44:31Speaker 2: and if you were a weirdo, we found out praise
- 44:33Speaker 2: the Lord as soon as possible. But a lot of
- 44:36Speaker 2: times you know what to bother those people because you're like, hey,
- 44:39Speaker 2: I appreciate you even supporting me. But at the same time,
- 44:42Speaker 2: like I was saying, this town is little. So if
- 44:44Speaker 2: you let one person play with you in LA, it's
- 44:47Speaker 2: what nobody's taking you serious.
- 44:49Speaker 1: So what happens when a client has a balance due
- 44:51Speaker 1: to you?
- 44:51Speaker 2: We're done.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Roll your own blunts, buddy, that's what you do.
- 44:56Speaker 2: What you lucky out and take the shit to Twitter?
- 44:59Speaker 2: You lucky out call my people and make them make
- 45:01Speaker 2: blog posts about you.
- 45:02Speaker 1: They're hilarious.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're wilent, what do you mean? And you
- 45:06Speaker 2: got money, Like, why wouldn't you want to pay a
- 45:09Speaker 2: small first of all human being who's just trying their
- 45:12Speaker 2: hardest and wants to have some dignity about their life
- 45:15Speaker 2: and make sure that they're getting I'm trying to make
- 45:17Speaker 2: a dollar out of living innocent. Like my man said,
- 45:20Speaker 2: I come on, why would you shit on me? And
- 45:23Speaker 2: y'all be at the strip club making a rank shout
- 45:25Speaker 2: out to those girls too, But come on. I know
- 45:27Speaker 2: you have money, don't do this.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, make a rain, you feel like they do that.
- 45:32Speaker 1: If a client does do it, they more or less
- 45:34Speaker 1: do it because you are a woman. Do you think
- 45:36Speaker 1: that plays, No, it's not at all.
- 45:38Speaker 2: I think they're just bums. The ones who play are bums,
- 45:40Speaker 2: and the ones who respect you respect anybody. The clients
- 45:42Speaker 2: I have that and I love and this not for not.
- 45:45Speaker 2: The ninety nine percent of my clients are wonderful person
- 45:47Speaker 2: who like my clients are amazing, God bless them. And
- 45:51Speaker 2: also I think people who patronize services I have a
- 45:57Speaker 2: chef or I have a blunt roll, have a driver.
- 45:59Speaker 2: I feel like, for the most part, they're really cool
- 46:01Speaker 2: to those people. Yeah, and if you're one of those
- 46:03Speaker 2: people you abused, I'm sure there's a hotline and you
- 46:05Speaker 2: should call them and maybe you should do something about it.
- 46:07Speaker 2: But for the most part, from what I see, everyone's nice.
- 46:10Speaker 2: But people who play or who are like the scammy Scamdinavian.
- 46:14Speaker 2: If you're Scamdinavian, then that you're trying to get ahead anyway. Yeah,
- 46:17Speaker 2: so you're gonna try it on anybody.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, I agree. It's a character trait.
- 46:21Speaker 2: It's a character trait. Yeah, like broke is a mind disease.
- 46:24Speaker 2: It's a mindset because you're it's a mindset like you're not.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Like I don't got nothing, but I got everything for
- 46:28Speaker 2: my people.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:30Speaker 2: And if I got everything, then obviously you got everything too.
- 46:33Speaker 2: But if I have nothing, whatever little tiny bit of
- 46:35Speaker 2: nothing I have is yours. Some people want to take
- 46:38Speaker 2: advantage of people. I'm sure it's got to do with
- 46:41Speaker 2: Tati Ta Bonita's being on our bodies. I'm sure that
- 46:43Speaker 2: has something to do with it, because patriarchy.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Cool.
- 46:46Speaker 2: We know what's going on here. We're not silly. I'm
- 46:47Speaker 2: not silly. I'm never silly enough to not know what's
- 46:49Speaker 2: going on. But I feel like broke is broke and
- 46:52Speaker 2: bum is bummed. So if you're a bum, you're a bum.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Throw them through in your industry. Do you feel like
- 46:57Speaker 1: you need to have security ever? Yeah?
- 47:00Speaker 2: For sure?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Wow, oh my god?
- 47:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:03Speaker 1: And how do your parents and your family feel about that?
- 47:05Speaker 1: Do they worry?
- 47:05Speaker 2: I'm really eight foot five.
- 47:09Speaker 1: She's so fatigue, guys, she's so fatigue.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I pull these abs out on you? What and I've
- 47:15Speaker 2: been doing pushops? You can't tell me nothing.

- 47:35Speaker 2: So if you're my friend, you already know you gotta
- 47:36Speaker 2: FaceTime me if you want to let me I'm not texting.
- 47:39Speaker 1: That's funny. Oh you don't text it all.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I can't brow. My hands are busy, and if you
- 47:42Speaker 2: expect me to text, you don't respect what my life
- 47:44Speaker 2: is made of.
- 47:45Speaker 1: And how many hours of a day do you? Would
- 47:47Speaker 1: you say you contribute to rolling at this point.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Depends on the day, but I will say anywhere. Depends
- 47:54Speaker 2: on the day. It depends on what it is. But
- 47:56Speaker 2: on a light day, an hour because it's like really
- 48:00Speaker 2: tiny order. But that those are very rare and they
- 48:03Speaker 2: happen over out of town, so we already pre rolled
- 48:06Speaker 2: for them for the month or something like that, and
- 48:08Speaker 2: then you see that and then for the rest of it,
- 48:10Speaker 2: it's like a good eighteen hours. I mean, I really
- 48:12Speaker 2: sit there cross side, and I fall asleep in my chair. Wow.
- 48:16Speaker 2: And I wake back up.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Like this, and I get back to it, and you
- 48:20Speaker 1: still after all of this, you still like smoking it.
- 48:24Speaker 2: I gotta get through the day.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You're hilarious.
- 48:27Speaker 2: I I don't want to go to jail, okay. Also

- 48:40Speaker 2: I strive to be a viceless individual. I think we
- 48:44Speaker 2: all should. I think if you are lucky enough to
- 48:46Speaker 2: be a viceless individual, you should definitely stay there. But
- 48:48Speaker 2: if you find yourself fucked up broke while trying to eat,
- 48:53Speaker 2: you might need a smoker joint.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. Thank you guys for tuning in, and
- 49:00Speaker 1: follow Renegade online and go ahead and order the Renegade cigargle.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Is it called cigar glue? I I love the packaging
- 49:09Speaker 1: on this.
- 49:09Speaker 2: By the way, I love you, Colleen A, my Jamaican star.
- 49:15Speaker 1: All right, guys, thank you for tuning in. Peace Out,
