- 0:00Speaker 1: He has asked this man, how you doing? What do
- 0:03Speaker 1: you see? So that the man can confess that one
- 0:07Speaker 1: touch is not enough. I want something else. I need
- 0:12Speaker 1: something else. I want to go deeper. This man makes
- 0:15Speaker 1: a decision. He has a chance to settle for less
- 0:20Speaker 1: than what God wants him to have and say, Lord,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm not what I ought to be, but thank God
- 0:26Speaker 1: I'm not what I use. Y'all ain't going to talk
- 0:29Speaker 1: to me. Greetings, brothers and sisters, in the name of
- 0:40Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, our Lord. What we are doing as we
- 0:43Speaker 1: step into a new year is to get the right
- 0:45Speaker 1: outlook and the right attitude. We're going to go into
- 0:49Speaker 1: the new year, but we're not going to have the
- 0:51Speaker 1: old outlook. Get ready, get ready, get ready. The importance
- 0:55Speaker 1: of the outlook determines the outcome. Take a look at
- 0:58Speaker 1: this and get ready to be blessed. God's foolishness is
- 1:04Speaker 1: better than the wisdom of this world. And you are
- 1:08Speaker 1: trying to have a God experience in a worldly environment.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So you come in here Sunday expecting it to cover
- 1:19Speaker 1: for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And then you
- 1:25Speaker 1: put a little dab of religion on it and wonder
- 1:27Speaker 1: why your world doesn't change. They led him out of Bethsaida.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And when he got him out of the environment, he
- 1:39Speaker 1: spat in his eye.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Jesus.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Some people say, you know, normally you spit on me.
- 1:48Speaker 1: He's still working on me. I'm not there yet. I'm
- 1:50Speaker 1: very open about this. I'm not there. I'm in stages
- 1:54Speaker 1: of recovery. I need my medicine. If I don't get
- 1:58Speaker 1: my treatment, I have a reaction. And if you spat
- 2:01Speaker 1: on me, I can't guarantee. The whole ghost might stand up.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I don't know. There's two of them folk down in there.
- 2:08Speaker 1: They argue all the time depending on who win, what
- 2:10Speaker 1: you would get. Might get prayed for. Might get punched.
- 2:15Speaker 1: How you like Vegas? Hope you're a gambler. Odds are
- 2:22Speaker 1: against you. Might not get through this real well. Jesus
- 2:26Speaker 1: spat on him. Why doesn't this man get angry? Because
- 2:32Speaker 1: there comes a time in your life that you have
- 2:34Speaker 1: been blind so long, you don't care what it takes
- 2:38Speaker 1: to get out of your situation. You simply want out.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Being insulted is a luxury for people who are not
- 2:49Speaker 1: in trouble. When you are in trouble bad enough, you
- 2:52Speaker 1: cannot afford to be insulted. A number of years ago,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I lost my job and making money. I had a
- 3:01Speaker 1: wife and two kids. We were down to absolutely nothing.
- 3:03Speaker 1: My utilities were off and everything. And I had to
- 3:06Speaker 1: go down there and get some help. And when you
- 3:08Speaker 1: go in those places where you need some help, they
- 3:10Speaker 1: talk to you like a dog. We didn't have a
- 3:15Speaker 1: medical card. Sherita was pregnant. We had to do something
- 3:17Speaker 1: so she could get some medical treatment. And I had
- 3:19Speaker 1: to go in a place I'd never been in before
- 3:21Speaker 1: and sit in a state I had never seen in
- 3:24Speaker 1: my life to get some help. And that woman talked
- 3:27Speaker 1: to me like I was a junkyard dog. I wanted
- 3:32Speaker 1: to let her have it. Oh, God. I thought, Jesus.
- 3:39Speaker 1: If Carbine called me back, I'm going to But they
- 3:45Speaker 1: didn't call me back. And I needed the help too
- 3:50Speaker 1: bad to be insulted. You know the people who don't
- 3:56Speaker 1: go to the church because the parking lot is across
- 3:59Speaker 1: the street. And they don't like to be in crowds.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And the church is too big. And I watch them
- 4:06Speaker 1: on TV. But I don't like to get out around people.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I don't like to get dressed up. You ain't in trouble.
- 4:12Speaker 1: When you get in real trouble, you will walk across
- 4:17Speaker 1: the street barefooted on a hot pavement. When you get
- 4:21Speaker 1: in real trouble, you don't care who's around you, what
- 4:25Speaker 1: they think, what you got on, what you wear. When
- 4:28Speaker 1: you get in real trouble, you will get help at
- 4:33Speaker 1: any cost. You don't care whether I'm black, whether I'm white,
- 4:37Speaker 1: whether I'm loud, whether I sweat. You know, it don't
- 4:40Speaker 1: make you, when you get sick and tired of being
- 4:43Speaker 1: sick and tired, you will get help. You don't care
- 4:47Speaker 1: where it is. Somebody holler, help! See, you might be
- 4:58Speaker 1: sitting beside somebody who's just trying to be cute and important,
- 5:01Speaker 1: but if you mess around and sit beside somebody who's desperate,
- 5:05Speaker 1: desperate people don't care what you think. They don't care
- 5:08Speaker 1: what they got on. They don't care what you say.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Desperate people just want help. Help! Touch the neighbor and say,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I'm desperate, I'm desperate, I'm desperate. You need to warn them.
- 5:24Speaker 1: That means if you're nervous, you need to move. If
- 5:27Speaker 1: you don't want nobody getting up and getting loud and
- 5:29Speaker 1: getting rowdy, you need to move to somebody who's not desperate.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I didn't come here to show off my outfit. I
- 5:35Speaker 1: didn't come here because I had a new hat. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: came here because I'm desperate. There's some stuff I need
- 5:41Speaker 1: to break. There's some things I need to change. There's
- 5:44Speaker 1: some doors I need to see open. There's some ways
- 5:47Speaker 1: I need to see made. Somebody holler, help! Whoo! Hallelujah!
- 6:11Speaker 1: Desperation comes when you have been in the condition too long.
- 6:17Speaker 1: When you get tired of other people going past you,
- 6:20Speaker 1: other people being happy, other people having joy, other people
- 6:24Speaker 1: going on with your life, you stop making excuses. You
- 6:27Speaker 1: stop blaming people. And you say, whatever it takes for
- 6:31Speaker 1: me to get myself together and get the right outlook.
- 6:35Speaker 1: If you have to confront me, if we have to
- 6:37Speaker 1: have an intervention, whatever program I got to take, if
- 6:41Speaker 1: I got to have night sweats, if I got to
- 6:44Speaker 1: cry for 30 days, whatever. Spits in his eye, lays
- 7:03Speaker 1: hands on him and says, what do you see? Are
- 7:11Speaker 1: you willing to challenge your perception You've challenged everybody else
- 7:19Speaker 1: and everything else. At this stage in your life, are
- 7:23Speaker 1: you willing to challenge your perception? And he said, Lord,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I see men walking as trees. He said, he, of
- 7:40Speaker 1: all the things to see, he determines everything. The depth
- 7:46Speaker 1: of his inner healing by his outlook. I can tell
- 7:54Speaker 1: how healthy you are inwardly by your outlook. How do
- 8:00Speaker 1: you see people? How do you see people?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Is it distrust? Fear?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Apprehension? anxiety, disdain, or do you crave them, long for them,
- 8:23Speaker 1: need their approval, affirmation? However you see them, it tells
- 8:31Speaker 1: me where you are in the recovery. Why didn't the
- 8:39Speaker 1: man test his eyes on something else? He's out of
- 8:44Speaker 1: the village. There aren't many people around. Why use people
- 8:47Speaker 1: of all things? Because your outlook is a reflection of
- 8:52Speaker 1: what's going on inside of you. And it is far
- 8:56Speaker 1: more important to you than what you're looking at. I
- 9:02Speaker 1: see men walking as trees. Is the problem with the
- 9:08Speaker 1: eyes or with the men? You could have a touch
- 9:13Speaker 1: from God, a legitimate touch from God, and still not
- 9:18Speaker 1: have the right outlook. You could be saved and still
- 9:24Speaker 1: haven't recovered. That's why it's not enough to tell people,
- 9:32Speaker 1: be not unequally yoked believers with unbelievers. Because that suggests
- 9:36Speaker 1: to them that as long as you say you're a Christian,
- 9:38Speaker 1: then you're cool to marry. You could be a Christian crazy.
- 9:51Speaker 1: That's a new phrase I've coined, Christian crazy. Ain't no
- 9:55Speaker 1: crazy like Christian crazy. Get three scriptures and a bottle
- 9:59Speaker 1: of oil. oil, ain't no crazy like Christian crazy. I've
- 10:03Speaker 1: seen nightclub crazy. I've seen ballroom crazy. I've seen prison crazy.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Ain't no crazy like Christian crazy. Can I go just
- 10:19Speaker 1: a little bit, just give me a few more minutes.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This man has a legitimate experience with Christ that has
- 10:28Speaker 1: made him better, but not whole. This first stage of
- 10:36Speaker 1: recovery represents most believers. Better, but not whole. And whether
- 10:49Speaker 1: the difference between better and whole is determined by your outlook.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Do you think Jesus needed to ask that man a question?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Do you not know that our God is omniscient, that
- 11:04Speaker 1: he is all knowing? Do you think that Jesus needed
- 11:08Speaker 1: to hear from that man to evaluate the state of
- 11:10Speaker 1: recovery he was in? He don't ask the ocean, how
- 11:15Speaker 1: deep are you? He don't answer when, how hard are
- 11:19Speaker 1: you blowing? He knows everything, the end from the beginning.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You know Jesus already knew. He has asked this man,
- 11:29Speaker 1: how you doing? What do you see? So that the
- 11:32Speaker 1: man can confess that one touch is not enough. I
- 11:37Speaker 1: want something else. I need something else. I want to
- 11:40Speaker 1: go deeper. This man makes a decision. He has a
- 11:44Speaker 1: chance to settle for less than what God wants him
- 11:49Speaker 1: to have and say, Lord, I'm not what I ought
- 11:51Speaker 1: to be, but thank God I'm not what I use.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Y'all ain't going to talk to me. Man says, I
- 12:03Speaker 1: see men walking as trees. I've had an experience with God,
- 12:10Speaker 1: but I still don't have the right outlook. I've had
- 12:13Speaker 1: a touch from the master, but my outlook is still
- 12:16Speaker 1: not good. I'm saved, but I'm still negative. I'm saved,
- 12:20Speaker 1: but I'm still controlling. I'm saved, but I'm still a gossip.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm saved, but I'm still a whoremonger. I'm saved, but
- 12:28Speaker 1: I'm still a slut. Why am I like this? Because
- 12:38Speaker 1: you still don't see people clearly.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Still to come on The Potter's Touch.
- 12:46Speaker 1: If you see what I see, you can have what
- 12:52Speaker 1: I have. I ain't got no more than you got.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Two hands, two eyes, two feet, a heart, some love.
- 12:58Speaker 1: It's not that I'm endowed with more than you. My
- 13:01Speaker 1: power is in what I see. If I get my
- 13:05Speaker 1: outlook right, you can't stop me from being blessed. The
- 13:11Speaker 1: emptiness of an open heart creates a cavity for God
- 13:15Speaker 1: to fill. But a closed mind never receives anything from God.
- 13:19Speaker 1: The only difference between you and the person you admire
- 13:23Speaker 1: is the perspective they have on life.
- 13:25Speaker 3: When the one who gave you sight says, follow me,
- 13:28Speaker 3: let me lead the way, it's time for blind faith.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Don't allow people to anchor you down as an albatross
- 13:34Speaker 1: around your neck and leave you limited so that they
- 13:37Speaker 1: can have fellowship and you can have failure. If you
- 13:40Speaker 1: are disciplined in your perspectives, you will be victorious in
- 13:44Speaker 1: your outcome.
- 13:45Speaker 3: For helping us reach others with your best gift, we
- 13:47Speaker 3: would like to give you Blind Faith, four insightful messages
- 13:50Speaker 3: on DVD, and as a bonus, receive pecking orders on
- 13:54Speaker 3: DVD with a 2013 photo calendar reminding you that God
- 13:58Speaker 3: wants to position you for impact, expose you to powerful experiences,
- 14:02Speaker 3: give the courage to step out in faith, and the
- 14:05Speaker 3: knowledge to make a difference. Just visit our website or
- 14:08Speaker 3: call 1-800-BISHOP-2 today.
- 14:14Speaker 1: The only way to change your life is to change
- 14:16Speaker 1: your mindset. Without it, let's examine the realities. If you
- 14:21Speaker 1: change your surroundings and you get in with the right
- 14:24Speaker 1: crowd and you wear the right clothes and you get
- 14:25Speaker 1: the right job and you have the right position, but
- 14:28Speaker 1: you still have the same old perspective, eventually you will
- 14:32Speaker 1: alienate every good thing God put around you. You must
- 14:37Speaker 1: be new and your perspective must be new. And you
- 14:41Speaker 1: must be willing to be fresh if you're going to
- 14:43Speaker 1: change your life because people can't change your life for you.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Parents can say amen to that. How many parents do
- 14:50Speaker 1: we know who really want to change the life for
- 14:52Speaker 1: their children? You cannot make the child do what you say.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That newness must begin in the individual and then spread
- 14:59Speaker 1: to the environment and situation around you. You can change
- 15:02Speaker 1: your life by changing your perspective. The only difference between
- 15:06Speaker 1: you and the person you admire it's the perspective they
- 15:09Speaker 1: have on life I know I need another touch because
- 15:15Speaker 1: of how I see people because of how I bark
- 15:18Speaker 1: at people and snap at people and because of my
- 15:22Speaker 1: outlook my outlook is so negative I'm saved but I'm
- 15:26Speaker 1: negative I'm saved my outlook is not good my outlook
- 15:32Speaker 1: is not good And the man has to pass the
- 15:38Speaker 1: test of mediocrity. Do you want a miracle or are
- 15:44Speaker 1: you satisfied to be mediocre? To be the status quo?
- 15:48Speaker 1: To be a step further on a progressive line of delivery?
- 15:52Speaker 1: Are you satisfied to be halfway there or do you
- 15:55Speaker 1: want to be whole? There are some things that cannot
- 15:59Speaker 1: be compromised. You can compromise about a lot of things,
- 16:04Speaker 1: but there are some things that cannot be compromised. For example,
- 16:07Speaker 1: you cannot be a little bit pregnant. You cannot be
- 16:12Speaker 1: sort of dead. Either you are dead or you're not dead.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Either you are pregnant or you're not pregnant. Either you
- 16:19Speaker 1: are whole or you're not whole. Do you want it
- 16:23Speaker 1: bad enough to come back and say, Lord, I'm glad
- 16:26Speaker 1: for what you did, but before you leave, I.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Need....
- 16:34Speaker 1: Somebody throw your hands up and say, do it again!
- 16:37Speaker 1: It says, my outlook is not right. Here is the problem.
- 16:53Speaker 1: If you walk away seeing men as trees, you will
- 16:59Speaker 1: contaminate everything you touch. Because you do not have the
- 17:05Speaker 1: outlook that is necessary to move you into your destiny.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And maybe you don't have the right outlook. Look at
- 17:19Speaker 1: where you came from. Look at the Bethsaida, the woeful
- 17:25Speaker 1: place you had to climb out of to get the
- 17:28Speaker 1: little bit that you got. And if you think that
- 17:33Speaker 1: all that time in Bethsaida didn't affect your outlook, I
- 17:36Speaker 1: got news for you. You've been through so much that
- 17:41Speaker 1: one touch will not do you. Oh, excuse me. There
- 17:47Speaker 1: were blind people in the Bible who got healed on
- 17:49Speaker 1: the first touch, but they didn't come from Bethsaida. If
- 17:54Speaker 1: you come from Bethsaida, you got to be willing to
- 17:57Speaker 1: go back to the altar and back to the altar
- 17:59Speaker 1: and back to the altar and say, Lord, touch me again.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Touch me again. It's coming back again. It's coming up again.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I need another touch from you. I still don't have
- 18:10Speaker 1: your nature. I still don't have your character. And I
- 18:13Speaker 1: will not lie and act like I'm more than I am.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I want to be. I gotta be. I shall be.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I must be whole. Do it again. Put it right here.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Put it right here. Put it right here. Jesus looks
- 18:40Speaker 1: at the man and says, come here. Come here. Let
- 18:46Speaker 1: me finish what I started. I don't know who this
- 18:50Speaker 1: is for. But the Lord brought me here this morning
- 18:55Speaker 1: to tell you that he wants you to come here.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Let me finish what I started. I am Alpha and Omega.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I am the beginning and the end. I am the
- 19:10Speaker 1: first and the last. I didn't bring you out of
- 19:13Speaker 1: that mess to leave that mess in you. I will,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I must, I shall. I want you to, in the
- 19:34Speaker 1: declaration of faith, touch your neighbor and say, I'm coming
- 19:36Speaker 1: all the way out. I'm coming all the way out.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm going to get my vision back. I'm going to
- 19:43Speaker 1: get my outlook back. I'm going to get my integrity back.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm going to start doing the right things for the
- 19:49Speaker 1: right reasons. So he didn't spit the second time. He says,
- 20:10Speaker 1: You're close enough now that I won't have to do
- 20:13Speaker 1: everything I did the first time to finish what I
- 20:16Speaker 1: started in your life. So close your eye up. I
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't have to do what I did at first to
- 20:25Speaker 1: finish what I started. He says, this time, I'm just
- 20:29Speaker 1: going to lay my hands. You're so close. You're so close.
- 20:34Speaker 1: He said, I know you're close because you're honest about
- 20:37Speaker 1: where you are. I know you're close Because you're honest
- 20:43Speaker 1: about where you are. I know you're close. Because it
- 20:46Speaker 1: ain't they that is bringing you now. There's no more
- 20:49Speaker 1: mention of they. You don't need nobody else to drag
- 20:52Speaker 1: you into this. You said oh no. I'm too close Jesus.
- 20:57Speaker 1: To get this close. And not get where I came from.
- 21:00Speaker 1: If they don't help me. If mama don't help me.
- 21:03Speaker 1: If daddy don't help me. If sister don't help me.
- 21:06Speaker 1: If brother don't help me. I will help myself. Jesus
- 21:10Speaker 1: here I come. And he said, Lord, I want to
- 21:27Speaker 1: be your disciple. In order to be anybody's disciple, it
- 21:36Speaker 1: is not because you follow them on Twitter. To be
- 21:42Speaker 1: a real disciple, to really be mentored, means I want
- 21:48Speaker 1: to see like you see. I want to see like
- 21:56Speaker 1: you see. I want to see things the way you
- 22:01Speaker 1: see things. That's why I get your book. That's why
- 22:04Speaker 1: I get your material. That's why I want to go
- 22:06Speaker 1: to lunch with you. I want to get your insight.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I want to understand what you see. What did you
- 22:12Speaker 1: think when you looked at that situation? What did you
- 22:13Speaker 1: think when you looked at that? I want to measure
- 22:16Speaker 1: my sight against your sight to see if I'm seeing clearly.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Because if I'm seeing one thing and you're seeing another,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I can't be your son and I can't be your
- 22:23Speaker 1: disciple until I see like you see. Talk to my head.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I am measuring... my vision against yours. Because if I
- 22:39Speaker 1: walk with you and I have one vision and you
- 22:42Speaker 1: have another, we have division. So do those look like
- 22:51Speaker 1: trees to you? I see them as trees. Jesus says,
- 22:58Speaker 1: in order for me to finish, I got to lay
- 23:01Speaker 1: hands on you again so that you can see Like
- 23:05Speaker 1: I see. You preachers know that when Elijah told Elijah,
- 23:12Speaker 1: if you see me when I'm taken up, you will
- 23:15Speaker 1: have a double portion of my spirit. The translation is,
- 23:19Speaker 1: if you see what I see, you can have what
- 23:22Speaker 1: I have. If you see what I see, you can
- 23:29Speaker 1: have what I have. I ain't got no more than
- 23:33Speaker 1: you got. Two hands, two eyes, two feet, a heart,
- 23:36Speaker 1: some love. It's not that I'm endowed with more than you.
- 23:40Speaker 1: My power is in what I see. If I get
- 23:44Speaker 1: my outlook right, you can't stop me from being blessed.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Oh!
- 23:54Speaker 1: I feel a shout of victory. Now I understand why
- 23:57Speaker 1: I went through what I went through. The devil was
- 24:00Speaker 1: trying to contaminate my outlook. That's why I was beat
- 24:04Speaker 1: and abused and ostracized because the devil wanted me to
- 24:08Speaker 1: go blind. But I came to serve notice on the devil.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I got my... For the next 30 seconds, I want
- 24:22Speaker 1: somebody that's getting their eyes back to give God a
- 24:26Speaker 1: crazy praise right now. You got 22 seconds left. Give
- 24:41Speaker 1: up your cute demeanor. Open up your mouth. You got
- 24:46Speaker 1: 15 seconds left. 10 Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, three, two, three, two.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Ow!
- 25:05Speaker 1: We'll be right back after this. The emptiness of an

- 26:47Speaker 1: vision that his Lord has. And as the Lord gets
- 26:53Speaker 1: ready to depart, he says, one, shut your mouth. Whoever
- 27:02Speaker 1: said that you got the same vision I got.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Hey!
- 27:12Speaker 1: Slap your neighbor and say, don't go back. Whatever you do,
- 27:18Speaker 1: don't go back. Once you get your head on straight,
- 27:23Speaker 1: don't go back. Forgetting those things which are behind and
- 27:28Speaker 1: reaching those things which are before. You can go anywhere
- 27:32Speaker 1: but backwards. Smack somebody and say, I ain't going back.

- 28:18Speaker 1: you for watching.
