- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven to ten o R Boy, The Mark
- 0:03Speaker 1: Simon Show starting now. Wow, lots we get you today.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We'll get to Minnesota. We'll get to all those crazy, spoiled,
- 0:14Speaker 1: looney protesters out there. We'll get to Jerome Powell, We'll
- 0:17Speaker 1: get to Venezuela. We'll get to Iran, Golden Globes. Nobody,
- 0:23Speaker 1: nobody too thrilled with that show last night, and a
- 0:25Speaker 1: lot more to talk about today. Now, Minnesota, you got
- 0:31Speaker 1: all these crazy screaming protesters. You've seen video all over
- 0:36Speaker 1: Twitter all weekend of them jumping in front of cars,
- 0:38Speaker 1: lying down in front of cars, taunting Ice agents, just
- 0:44Speaker 1: yelling and screaming.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Looks like walking up. He looks like this is walking up.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Looks now these of course, these white liberals that went
- 1:05Speaker 1: to all these colleges that indoctrinated them into the far
- 1:08Speaker 1: left cook world. But also I think they came out
- 1:11Speaker 1: pretty spoiled. You know, you gotta have a lot of
- 1:13Speaker 1: nerve to do all this stuff. I mean, what do
- 1:18Speaker 1: you do when you see a police car when you're
- 1:21Speaker 1: driving and you see, oh, there's a police car behind me.
- 1:23Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:24Speaker 1: You slow down and you start going the speed limit.
- 1:26Speaker 1: You try to drive perfectly, you know, you try to
- 1:29Speaker 1: keep your eyes on the road. There's a police car
- 1:30Speaker 1: right behind you. Would you ever have the nerve to
- 1:33Speaker 1: like this woman did, this poor woman that was killed.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Would you have the nerve to pull up in front
- 1:38Speaker 1: of them, turn your vehicle sideways, block the road, block
- 1:42Speaker 1: them in. Would you have the nerve to do that?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:47Speaker 1: She did. It's insane. She spends the whole day yelling
- 1:50Speaker 1: and screaming and taunting them and calling them names, and
- 1:54Speaker 1: then drives the car into the operation, pulls up ahead
- 1:59Speaker 1: of this cara of turned sideways to block the road.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That usually to cops, when somebody pulls up in front
- 2:06Speaker 1: and blocks the road usually means you're about to get ambushed.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So you could see alarm bells going off in their head.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Who would have the nerve to do that? What kind
- 2:15Speaker 1: of lunatic. But these protests just out of control, just nuts.
- 2:20Speaker 1: And then you got this mayor of Minneapolis firing up.
- 2:24Speaker 1: This Mayor Frey, who is a far left kook. This
- 2:29Speaker 1: guy plays up everything. You remember the terrible George Floyd killing.
- 2:33Speaker 1: This was the same mayor that got down by the
- 2:35Speaker 1: casket at the funeral. He kneeled down in front of
- 2:38Speaker 1: it and started to cry and sob. Everybody believed it
- 2:41Speaker 1: was just theatrical for the cameras, But this guy just horrible.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I did not say that ice enforcement was unconstitutional. What
- 2:50Speaker 4: I said is the way that they are doing it
- 2:52Speaker 4: is unconstitutional. You can't come into a city and discriminate
- 2:59Speaker 4: solely on the bay of are you Latino or are
- 3:02Speaker 4: you Somali and then randomly pick people up off the
- 3:06Speaker 4: street after that.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Well, you see, that's the problem. He's just making up
- 3:10Speaker 1: this nonsense. They've never gone after people just for being Latino.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They've never randomly picked people up off the street. In
- 3:16Speaker 1: every case, they got a name, a license plate number,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and address something. They're going after people with criminal records.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's how they know who to go after. But this
- 3:24Speaker 1: guy's job with the Democrats is to rile people up,
- 3:27Speaker 1: to get them crazy. And if anybody's responsible to that
- 3:31Speaker 1: poor woman getting killed, it's people like this who got
- 3:34Speaker 1: her so crazy. I mean, again, how much nerve would
- 3:38Speaker 1: you have to have to just drive your car into
- 3:40Speaker 1: a big police caravan, get up in front of them,
- 3:43Speaker 1: turn sideways, block them in. That takes a lot of nerve.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Or if they told you to get out of the
- 3:48Speaker 1: car to speed away. I mean, she is a criminal.
- 3:51Speaker 1: If he had not been shot, she would be in
- 3:53Speaker 1: jail now. She'd be on trial for the next few
- 3:56Speaker 1: years of her life for a number of crimes she committed,
- 3:58Speaker 1: like seven crimes there. But it's just a ridiculous situation
- 4:03Speaker 1: being fueled by Now. Yeah, I know you're saying this
- 4:06Speaker 1: is getting bad, it's hurting Trumpet. Just remember this is
- 4:10Speaker 1: always the case. Democrats always overplay their hand, and they'll
- 4:16Speaker 1: do it this time. It looks good for it looks
- 4:18Speaker 1: good to them, looks like it's working. Then they'll always
- 4:21Speaker 1: overplay their hand and completely destroy their side and the process.
- 4:26Speaker 1: This is a call to defund ice. You're going to
- 4:29Speaker 1: hear this a lot in the coming week or two.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Defund ice. But again, they'll overplay their hand. From what
- 4:34Speaker 1: I hear, they don't actually want to defund ice. They
- 4:37Speaker 1: just want to act like they're trying to defund ice. Now. Friday,
- 4:41Speaker 1: they had the big meeting with all the top oil
- 4:43Speaker 1: companies at the White House. We got rid of Maduro
- 4:47Speaker 1: in Venezuela. There's seventeen trillion dollars in oil sitting under
- 4:53Speaker 1: the ground. There three hundred billion gallons of oil sitting there.
- 4:59Speaker 1: This would be great for the Venezuelan economy, our economy, everybody.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But the problem is getting it out of the ground.
- 5:06Speaker 1: The oil infrastructure is completely decayed and decrepit, and somebody
- 5:10Speaker 1: has to go in there and rebuild the oil infrastructure.
- 5:12Speaker 1: That would be the big oil companies. It would cost
- 5:15Speaker 1: them probably one hundred billion dollars. It would probably really
- 5:19Speaker 1: take fifteen years. So there was a meeting on Friday
- 5:22Speaker 1: at the White House where the President had all the
- 5:26Speaker 1: top oil company executives there, and this was to get
- 5:30Speaker 1: the thing going. But but they kind of said, well
- 5:34Speaker 1: not kind of. They came right out and said, we're
- 5:36Speaker 1: not interested. We can't do it. We're not going in there.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The situation is too crazy. Now. I remember, it may
- 5:42Speaker 1: be under control right now with Donald Trump, but start
- 5:46Speaker 1: building these oil infrastructure things could take many years, and
- 5:50Speaker 1: who knows, in three years Trump has gone and Venezuela's
- 5:54Speaker 1: taken over by socialists again and they seize everything. It
- 5:58Speaker 1: happened before to the oil companies. As they pointed out
- 6:01Speaker 1: last time, around fifteen billion worth of their infrastructure was
- 6:05Speaker 1: seized by the Venezuelan government. So they don't want to
- 6:08Speaker 1: go in there. They told the president, so he wasn't happy.
- 6:11Speaker 1: We're dealing with them very well.
- 6:12Speaker 5: I think they've been very smart in the way they've
- 6:14Speaker 5: dealt with us, frankly, because that could have been obliterated
- 6:18Speaker 5: with one more strike, and we didn't want to do that.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Venezuela is cooperating. They're giving us whatever oil they can,
- 6:23Speaker 1: but but there's not a lot of oil in there
- 6:27Speaker 1: right now. They're lucky if they get three hundred thousand
- 6:29Speaker 1: barrels out of there instead of of millions and millions
- 6:33Speaker 1: a day. But these oil companies don't want no part
- 6:36Speaker 1: of this. The last thing they want to do is
- 6:38Speaker 1: go in there and spend a fortune. Not to mention,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you know, not just having all their assets seized, but
- 6:43Speaker 1: having their people seized. It's too dangerous the situation. No
- 6:47Speaker 1: matter what Trump can promise them again, he might not
- 6:50Speaker 1: be there in three years. You don't know what's going
- 6:51Speaker 1: to happen now in Iran, the rebels of the rebellion
- 6:56Speaker 1: is growing and growing. A lot of people think the Ayatola,
- 6:59Speaker 1: the leader, the evil dictator, will be They think he'll
- 7:02Speaker 1: be gone maybe the next week or two. That it'll
- 7:05Speaker 1: get out of hand, he won't be able to control it,
- 7:07Speaker 1: and he'll decide to flee. Russia's offered to take him in.
- 7:11Speaker 1: He would bring with him his family and inner circle.
- 7:14Speaker 1: They think it's about twenty people. If they leave, well,
- 7:17Speaker 1: then Iran actually could become a democracy, a free country.
- 7:21Speaker 1: You know, Iran used to be a beautiful, prosperous country
- 7:24Speaker 1: before it went crazy when they threw out the shaw.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Before that, it was just booming. It looked like Las
- 7:29Speaker 1: Vegas and Tehran. But it's an interesting situation. The president
- 7:33Speaker 1: ready to respond well, watching the situation very carefully.
- 7:37Speaker 5: I've made the statement very strongly that if they start
- 7:39Speaker 5: killing people like they have in the past, we will
- 7:42Speaker 5: get involved. We'll be hitting them very hard where it hurts.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Now there's a lot they can do. They can
- 7:47Speaker 1: quickly take out certain government assets, weapons, all that sort
- 7:51Speaker 1: of stuff. If they try to go after the protesters. Now,
- 7:55Speaker 1: if you get rid of the Iola who runs the country,
- 7:57Speaker 1: well you could leave it up to the rebels the protester.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But there are people here, you know, the Chavrain has
- 8:03Speaker 1: a son who's been here in the United States for decades.
- 8:07Speaker 1: There's a huge Iranian diaspora, A lot of it here
- 8:12Speaker 1: in this country, a lot of it all over the place.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You know, in New Jersey, Long Island got a lot
- 8:17Speaker 1: of Persians there, very very very smart business people. I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 1: they could take this country and just turn it around
- 8:24Speaker 1: in weeks. So Pelavi, Reza Pallavi is the son of
- 8:30Speaker 1: the Shah rand. He wants to go back and be
- 8:32Speaker 1: the leader. He's sixty five now, lives in Maryland, lived
- 8:35Speaker 1: in New York for a while. But I don't know.
- 8:40Speaker 1: The whole community would have to back him. I don't
- 8:42Speaker 1: know that they do. He's been campaigning for this for many,
- 8:46Speaker 1: many years, cultivating relations with DC officials, and he would
- 8:51Speaker 1: like to be Maybe they'll let him go in first,
- 8:54Speaker 1: be like the Jay Garner of this whole thing, because
- 8:56Speaker 1: the first guy in is going to have a problem,
- 8:58Speaker 1: so it's going to be a mess. It's the same
- 9:00Speaker 1: you want to be the second guy in this situation. Greenland, Well,
- 9:04Speaker 1: we're getting closer and closer to something. Now, we're not
- 9:07Speaker 1: going to invade. We're not gonna be First of all,
- 9:10Speaker 1: there's only fifty three thousand people in Greenland. The entire
- 9:15Speaker 1: population of Greenland could not fill Yankee stadium, So in
- 9:19Speaker 1: invasion it would take about forty minutes. But we're not
- 9:23Speaker 1: going to do it's just negotiating. But at some point
- 9:25Speaker 1: they'll make a deal, will acquire Greenland. The president is
- 9:29Speaker 1: It's not just President Trump. Every president's wanted to do this.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Harry Truman made a really really serious effort for a
- 9:35Speaker 1: long time, but all the way back to Abraham Lincoln,
- 9:38Speaker 1: we've tried to do this. Greenland is a very important
- 9:40Speaker 1: to US militarily, strategically, mineral wise, all that stuff.
- 9:44Speaker 5: I'm not talking about money for Greenland yet. I might
- 9:47Speaker 5: talk about that, but right now we are going to
- 9:50Speaker 5: do something on Greenland.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Whether they like it or not, well, that's just you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: it sounds threatening, menacing. He's negotiating now. A lot of
- 9:59Speaker 1: times when the US does a military excursion, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: capture Maduro, take out some foreign leader, you know, like
- 10:08Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, Barack Obama did with the air raids and
- 10:12Speaker 1: the strikes. Whenever you do that sort of stuff, sometimes
- 10:17Speaker 1: it's to let the world know and get a look
- 10:19Speaker 1: at some of your new weapons. That's how we introduced
- 10:21Speaker 1: the stealth bomber to the world. One of those attacks
- 10:25Speaker 1: on Iran Iraq, it was actually Iraq. Back then, the
- 10:28Speaker 1: stealth bombers can be totally undetected by radar. Frightened a
- 10:32Speaker 1: lot of our enemies, even the Russia. China was frightening
- 10:36Speaker 1: to them. They didn't have that kind of technology. They
- 10:39Speaker 1: could see that we were way ahead of that. So
- 10:42Speaker 1: we did that. In Venezuela a week ago, we showed
- 10:45Speaker 1: off some new weapons that nobody knew about. It's some
- 10:48Speaker 1: sort of sonic weapon. When US troops came in there,
- 10:53Speaker 1: there were hundreds and hundreds of Venezuelan troops and Cuban
- 10:56Speaker 1: troops there defending the palace. They took out this sonic
- 11:01Speaker 1: weapon and pointed it at all of those hundreds of troops,
- 11:05Speaker 1: and people there say they don't know what the hell
- 11:07Speaker 1: it was or what hit them. Some sort of sonic
- 11:09Speaker 1: weapon that just brought all those soldiers right to their knees.
- 11:14Speaker 1: They started bleeding like crazy through their nose, they started
- 11:17Speaker 1: vomiting blood all over the place. Whatever this weapon is,
- 11:20Speaker 1: you just pointed at everybody and they're totally incapacitated. So
- 11:26Speaker 1: it was the first time this was seen again. Some
- 11:28Speaker 1: sort of sonic weapon. Nobody knows exactly what it was.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's how twenty US troops were able to go in
- 11:33Speaker 1: there and do whatever they want with hundreds of troops guarding.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Just this unbelievable sonic weapon shooting took place, and they
- 11:43Speaker 1: said the American weapons were so precise and had such speed.
- 11:48Speaker 1: They were talking about like three hundred rounds per minute
- 11:50Speaker 1: were being fired, so there were no match for these weapons. Russia, China,
- 11:54Speaker 1: everybody else got to look at this stuff for the
- 11:56Speaker 1: first time, and it scares people there people a lot.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Every time you do something like this, it makes other
- 12:04Speaker 1: countries not want to ever mess with the US military,
- 12:07Speaker 1: So that's a good help. What else the Golden Globes,
- 12:13Speaker 1: everybody was kind of not kind of everybody was very disappointed.
- 12:17Speaker 1: What's her name? Nikki Glazer monologue was good, It was okay.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Everybody looked bored out of their mind. It's not like
- 12:24Speaker 1: the oscars where you sit in theater seats. This is
- 12:27Speaker 1: where you sit at tables with food and drinks. It
- 12:29Speaker 1: looks like a party. But if you watched all the
- 12:32Speaker 1: shots of all the celebrities, they look like they were
- 12:35Speaker 1: in a coma ward. They looked so bored with this
- 12:37Speaker 1: whole thing. It was a very boring show. Now, remember
- 12:41Speaker 1: the Golden Globes. It's not like the Oscars and the
- 12:42Speaker 1: Oscars the big names of Hollywood vote the Golden Globes.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Nobody really votes. Nobody knows who the hell votes. It's
- 12:49Speaker 1: always been a sleezy organization. And again it's not the
- 12:53Speaker 1: classiest show. In fact, a lot of people a little stunned.
- 12:56Speaker 1: They didn't do any immemoriam, no mention to Rob Ryan,
- 13:00Speaker 1: people that we lost in the pasture, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford,
- 13:04Speaker 1: Gene Hackman. It was a bit of a mess. Marty
- 13:07Speaker 1: Supreme did very well, very well. It's a great movie.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Go see it. You'll love Marty Supreme. It's expected to
- 13:15Speaker 1: do very well at the Oscars. Excellent movie. I knew
- 13:20Speaker 1: the real Marty Supreme. His name was actually Marty Reesman.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And all the ping pong stuff in the movie about
- 13:27Speaker 1: being the world champion, that's all true. The other stuff
- 13:31Speaker 1: totally made up. The gangsters, the car chases, the guns,
- 13:34Speaker 1: the fight, none of that. Really. This guy was actually
- 13:36Speaker 1: the most boring guy in the world in real life.
- 13:39Speaker 1: So anyway, we got a lot to get to today.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Oh now here's the left wing press. They just go nuts.
- 13:47Speaker 1: They just try to get President Trump on something. Everything
- 13:50Speaker 1: he does is wrong, everything he does is a crime,
- 13:53Speaker 1: everything he does is suspicious. Everything. So here's mediaite. Media
- 13:58Speaker 1: eight is a very slanted left wing website. They do
- 14:02Speaker 1: a big story about how President Trump, while he was
- 14:06Speaker 1: in Palm Beach, the motorcade took a very mysterious detour
- 14:12Speaker 1: and went to a mysterious dentist appointment. This is the
- 14:16Speaker 1: actual headline. Trump goes to mystery dentist appointment. He's in
- 14:25Speaker 1: pom Beach. Apparently he has a local dentist there that
- 14:27Speaker 1: he likes. That's one of his regular dentists. So he
- 14:29Speaker 1: was in Palm Beach. He went to this dentist's office
- 14:32Speaker 1: at eight thirty in the morning and then left about
- 14:35Speaker 1: ten o'clock. The motorcade left them. The spokesperson said. The
- 14:39Speaker 1: president did not undergo any anesthesia. Now, if you went
- 14:42Speaker 1: to a dentist, what would you do there for an hour? Well,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I hate to break it to you, he probably got
- 14:49Speaker 1: his teeth cleaned. I get my teeth cleaned every few months.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You go to the dentist and you're there for about
- 14:55Speaker 1: an hour and then you'll leave. I think that's it.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So for these left sites to say, it's a mystery
- 15:02Speaker 1: why he went to the dentist for an appointment. What
- 15:05Speaker 1: could possibly take place in the dentist's office that would
- 15:08Speaker 1: be anything scandalous, anything unusual. Again, probably just a cleaning.
- 15:12Speaker 1: The President tweeting away the rest of the night. Hey,
- 15:16Speaker 1: we'll get to Mom Donnie. He's got his first big
- 15:19Speaker 1: proposal coming up. No, it's it's to create bathrooms, public bathrooms.
- 15:26Speaker 1: This is his big plan, but it'll be a good test.
- 15:30Speaker 1: He wants to spend four million dollars on what he
- 15:33Speaker 1: calls high quality, modular public restrooms, and he's put out
- 15:39Speaker 1: feelers to companies to come up with a plan. He says,
- 15:42Speaker 1: right now there's a thousand restrooms across five boroughs, but
- 15:46Speaker 1: he wants to add many more because if you figure
- 15:48Speaker 1: that out, it's one restroom for every eighty five hundred
- 15:53Speaker 1: New Yorkers. And by the way, most of these public
- 15:55Speaker 1: restrooms are in parks. So this is his big plan,
- 15:59Speaker 1: a Mom Donnie restroom. Now, yeah, you can make your
- 16:03Speaker 1: own joke there, but this is his big legacy toilets.
- 16:07Speaker 1: But it'll also be his first test of whether or
- 16:10Speaker 1: not this guy's never had a job, never worked, never
- 16:13Speaker 1: run anything. This will be his first management test. Can
- 16:16Speaker 1: he handle this? Can he get proper companies doing good bids?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Can he get a good plan? You remember other politicians
- 16:23Speaker 1: have tried these public restrooms and ended up spending like
- 16:27Speaker 1: a million dollars on a little public bathroom. A million
- 16:31Speaker 1: dollars would normally build you a mansion. But we'll see
- 16:34Speaker 1: what mom down he does here. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 16:40Speaker 1: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. If
- 16:45Speaker 1: you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save time
- 16:48Speaker 1: and tap the preset button.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Now.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on water. Hey,
- 16:58Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Let's coach Michael on the east side. Michael,
- 17:02Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 17:03Speaker 6: Hey, Mark, you're my morning vitamins. I'm glad to hear him.
- 17:08Speaker 6: Mont Demmi is flush with cash. Might I say these
- 17:13Speaker 6: are gonna be called pity potties because we're gonna see
- 17:19Speaker 6: how much extra money he spends on these things.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that's another thing. Whenever socialists get into power,
- 17:26Speaker 1: money seems to go missing, Contracts get handed out dramatically,
- 17:31Speaker 1: overpaying for everything, and then the money seems to vanish
- 17:34Speaker 1: Minnesota Somali daycare. Good example of Bill de Blasio with
- 17:40Speaker 1: his thrive NYC. This could be the beginning of that
- 17:42Speaker 1: kind of stuff, this restroom contract. Let's go to David
- 17:46Speaker 1: and Queen's David. How you doing, Hey, Mark, Good morning Mark.
- 17:51Speaker 3: One of the pluses of Cuomo not winning was that
- 17:54Speaker 3: we didn't have to look at that proof face Melissa's dirt.
- 17:57Speaker 1: No, he did what he said. But the rumor is
- 18:01Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo wants to do a radio show. Oh my god,
- 18:05Speaker 1: this is there's a curse in the Cuomo family. Whatever
- 18:08Speaker 1: they try radio, it's disaster. His father, who I love twice,
- 18:12Speaker 1: tried a radio show. It was disaster. Didn't last long.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Cloma has tried it before. It's one thing he really
- 18:20Speaker 1: stinks at when you're on the radio. You can't talk
- 18:25Speaker 1: slow like he talks. And you know how when he
- 18:32Speaker 1: wants to sound dramatic, he makes his voice go up
- 18:34Speaker 1: and down, so all of a sudden he'll hit a
- 18:38Speaker 1: high note like that. And then the other thing is
- 18:43Speaker 1: it's one of the characterists of guys that always lie.
- 18:46Speaker 1: They ask themselves questions and answer them. So as he's talking,
- 18:50Speaker 1: he'll say what do we mean when we say democracy.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Well we meet so a radio show. This will be
- 18:58Speaker 1: I hope it happens. It'll be the disaster. It's the
- 19:02Speaker 1: Cuomo curse. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how
- 19:04Speaker 1: you doing.
- 19:06Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. Yes, Mike, this is the beginning of
- 19:09Speaker 7: Mamdani turning the city into a giant toilet. But as
- 19:13Speaker 7: you mentioned, it's the project has been attempted before.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Many years ago.
- 19:17Speaker 7: There was a Spanish company, I believe, and they put
- 19:20Speaker 7: up a bunch of experimental standalone toilets. They locked after
- 19:24Speaker 7: you use them, they self cleaned and then within one
- 19:27Speaker 7: minute cycling they were open again. And they proposed to
- 19:30Speaker 7: the city to build all these around at their expense.
- 19:33Speaker 7: And all they wanted was the rights to the advertising
- 19:37Speaker 7: on the build on these civil instructures, and they and
- 19:40Speaker 7: they charactered. There was something like eighty seven different authorities
- 19:44Speaker 7: that they had to go through, the homeless, the preservations,
- 19:47Speaker 7: the society, and they said, screw this, We're not doing
- 19:50Speaker 7: business with this crazy city. It's it's insane to get
- 19:53Speaker 7: anything built. And it disappeared. It was a great project.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Yeah, if you want to make the perfect public toilet
- 20:00Speaker 1: that is easy to clean, indestructible, efficient. I bet if
- 20:04Speaker 1: you went to some great private company, if you went
- 20:07Speaker 1: to Tim Cook and Apple and they did an eye
- 20:10Speaker 1: toilet for you, it would be phenomenal. But this is Mom,
- 20:13Speaker 1: Donnie and socialist. They'll find some companies in the bronx.
- 20:17Speaker 1: They'll overpay like crazy. It won't work. We tried this before.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Democrats have tried this. They end up penning eight million
- 20:22Speaker 1: a toilet. It doesn't work. As you say, well where
- 20:26Speaker 1: are they? They're all gone. They didn't work. Let's go
- 20:29Speaker 1: to Bill Lafayette, New Jersey. Bill. How you doing, Hi?
- 20:33Speaker 2: Mark?
- 20:33Speaker 3: I'm Mark. A couple of days ago, there was new
- 20:36Speaker 3: footage released about the Minnesota shooting, about the woman who
- 20:40Speaker 3: was shot by the ice agent. Yeah, and it looks
- 20:43Speaker 3: like it's tampered with because I looked on Google later
- 20:46Speaker 3: on it said tampered footage of shooting release. And I
- 20:51Speaker 3: don't know if you saw that or not. But everybody
- 20:54Speaker 3: was calm and collected, and a passenger got out of
- 20:57Speaker 3: the car and she was cool and got back in
- 21:00Speaker 3: and then all hell broke blue. So do you know
- 21:02Speaker 3: anything about that?
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, there is some tampered let's just say doctor doctored
- 21:06Speaker 1: footage that's been chopped up and edited a little all
- 21:09Speaker 1: over the internet. There's somewhere they've added some dialogue that
- 21:12Speaker 1: wasn't there before. Listen, the shooting is totally one thousand
- 21:17Speaker 1: percent justified under every law, in every police department. The
- 21:21Speaker 1: shooting was justified. She drove Adam. The first shot he
- 21:26Speaker 1: fired went through the front windshield, which means he was
- 21:29Speaker 1: in front of the car. It's impossible to fire through
- 21:32Speaker 1: the front windshield if you're on the side. So she
- 21:34Speaker 1: did run at him, she did hit him. Now, if
- 21:37Speaker 1: you talk to the top law enforcement guys in the
- 21:39Speaker 1: world off the record, they'll say, you know, he really
- 21:43Speaker 1: didn't have to fire. He justified. He can, but probably
- 21:46Speaker 1: shouldn't have. You know, let her go and then you'll
- 21:50Speaker 1: catch you a couple of blocks later. I think from
- 21:51Speaker 1: what I hear, even Tom Holman is thinking that he
- 21:53Speaker 1: didn't have to fire. But he's in no legal jeopardy.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's totally justified. Holman has been pretty careful in his response.
- 22:03Speaker 1: This is him yesterday.
- 22:04Speaker 8: We need to let this play out. But while we're
- 22:07Speaker 8: doing that, we got to stop the hateful Reddit. Sanders
- 22:10Speaker 8: officers a murderer is dangerous, it's just ridiculous. It's just
- 22:15Speaker 8: gonna and it's going to infuriate people more, which means
- 22:20Speaker 8: it's going to be more insolence like this because the
- 22:22Speaker 8: hateful reddic it's not only continuing now is triple down
- 22:25Speaker 8: and double dub.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Yeah again, could be a little more restraint. You didn't
- 22:28Speaker 1: have to fire. But he's totally justified in firing. He's
- 22:33Speaker 1: in no legal jeopardy. He has committed no violation of
- 22:37Speaker 1: any rule, law or anything. He is totally justified in
- 22:41Speaker 1: the shooting. Oh, when we come back, Ed Rollins will
- 22:44Speaker 1: be with us. We've got a lot to talk to
- 22:45Speaker 1: him about President's next moves. We'll get to the mid terms,
- 22:49Speaker 1: we'll get to twenty twenty eight and more. Just ahead
- 22:51Speaker 1: on seven to ten w R.
- 22:55Speaker 4: He's more Marks the Marksimone Show on seven tenle.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Well, let's turn to the dean himself, the greatest political analyst,
- 23:04Speaker 1: the ball boy. He's run a million campaigns, He's run
- 23:06Speaker 1: the most successful campaigns of all, Ed Rollins, How you
- 23:10Speaker 1: doing pretty good?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Mark?
- 23:12Speaker 1: Are you good?
- 23:14Speaker 2: A lot of activity going around in the world. Well,
- 23:16Speaker 2: do I want to be sitting on the White House today?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you, as the veteran of a
- 23:20Speaker 1: lot of white houses, these protests all over the streets,
- 23:22Speaker 1: all this video, all this stuff we're watching. Is this
- 23:24Speaker 1: hurting or helping the president?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Right now? It's undefined. I mean, I think I think
- 23:31Speaker 2: some of the things he's doing are very beneficial to
- 23:33Speaker 2: the country. Some of the things are distracting. I mean,
- 23:36Speaker 2: his mission has got to be now we're really in
- 23:39Speaker 2: the middle of the start of the mid terms, He's
- 23:43Speaker 2: got to basically give his party something to run on,
- 23:45Speaker 2: and it has to be something that they they're not
- 23:48Speaker 2: going to win on bad like Venezuela or changing Iranian
- 23:52Speaker 2: resolves or what have you. It's be It's gonna be
- 23:54Speaker 2: economy and particularly healthcare, and he's got to focus on that.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I mean, this sidebarth is like getting rid of Powell
- 24:01Speaker 2: on whate have you? Or part of the job as
- 24:03Speaker 2: the president obviously, but at the end of the day,
- 24:06Speaker 2: it's not what people want. People right now want to
- 24:08Speaker 2: know you care about me, and so you're promised you
- 24:11Speaker 2: were going to fix the economy for me, and that's
- 24:14Speaker 2: what members of Congress gonna have to deal with.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Yeah, they used to call that in Washington the Green
- 24:18Speaker 1: Bay diner test. You know, if you went to green Bay,
- 24:21Speaker 1: Wisconsin into a diner, is anybody talking about this? And
- 24:24Speaker 1: if they're not, it's not an issue.
- 24:26Speaker 2: So well in Green Bay they're not talking about any
- 24:28Speaker 2: of the Green Bay losses. But you're absolutely right it is.
- 24:34Speaker 2: And when you got twenty two million people that have
- 24:37Speaker 2: their healthier altered in the sense of paying much higher
- 24:39Speaker 2: rates for the insurance, that's a that's a lot of
- 24:43Speaker 2: activity out there.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so Democrats want to pass this, you know, patch
- 24:49Speaker 1: the subsidies, extend the subsidies for in a year or two.
- 24:52Speaker 1: But doesn't that kind of hurt them in the midterms
- 24:53Speaker 1: if it's all taken care of, it's not.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Going to be taken care of. I mean, I don't
- 24:59Speaker 2: think it's going to resolved unless the Republicans will and
- 25:01Speaker 2: make some some big change in their and their plans.
- 25:06Speaker 2: They're they're talking doesn't say to be Another problem is
- 25:10Speaker 2: the speak of Johnson's space. He is you know, he
- 25:13Speaker 2: has no majority. I mean, it sits down to two votes.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Got to make sure everybody's there every day, uh, you know,
- 25:18Speaker 2: and their congressman died over the week. Over the last
- 25:21Speaker 2: couple weeks, to California.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Uh.
- 25:24Speaker 2: And the numbers are just you know, two or three
- 25:26Speaker 2: vote margins. You're always missing two or three voters uh
- 25:29Speaker 2: in the Congress, And so I think it's task. It's
- 25:31Speaker 2: very very difficulty.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Hey, I was just getting back to these protests and
- 25:35Speaker 1: all the video we're seeing protesting defund dice, all this
- 25:38Speaker 1: stuff that you've seen this a million times. Don't the
- 25:41Speaker 1: Democrats when they do this stuff, don't they end up
- 25:43Speaker 1: always overplaying their hand and going too far.
- 25:47Speaker 2: They do. But but you can't you can't bet on
- 25:50Speaker 2: the other side doing We have to worry about what's
- 25:55Speaker 2: going to help us, and I think we've got to
- 25:57Speaker 2: focus on the things that matter. You know. One of
- 25:59Speaker 2: the problems I think is with immigration. Obviously it was
- 26:02Speaker 2: a critical issue for the president. You see a couple
- 26:04Speaker 2: of thousand guys in heavy military guard in Minnesota standing
- 26:09Speaker 2: around guarding a federal bill, and that doesn't make people
- 26:13Speaker 2: think about stopping illegals coming into the country. Maybe an
- 26:17Speaker 2: underlying part of it, but at the end of the day,
- 26:19Speaker 2: people want to see those guys out there on the
- 26:21Speaker 2: borders making sure that people are being we're here illegally
- 26:24Speaker 2: or improper arrested. And they want criminals arrested. They don't
- 26:28Speaker 2: want the ordinary guy who's been there for twenty thirty
- 26:30Speaker 2: years who works in the market, works on the farms,
- 26:32Speaker 2: who may be here illegally harassed and drag through the fields.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I opplicated issue.
- 26:38Speaker 1: There's always issues, always problems. But when you agree that
- 26:41Speaker 1: you worked with Reagan, Nixon, everybody, when you agree the
- 26:43Speaker 1: president's having a very successful second term. Usually it's rough
- 26:47Speaker 1: the second term, but so far he's getting a lot done.
- 26:51Speaker 2: He's getting a lot done. This president's got the strongest
- 26:53Speaker 2: position of any president I've seen in my lifetime that
- 26:56Speaker 2: presidential scholar. When I haven't worked for presidents, I worked
- 26:59Speaker 2: for several. He has basically taken on a lot of things,
- 27:04Speaker 2: and he's got great powers. The Congress has given him
- 27:07Speaker 2: to a certain extent, give given them much of their power,
- 27:10Speaker 2: and I think to a certain extent, he's got to
- 27:12Speaker 2: make sure the things he does. He can't do everything
- 27:14Speaker 2: every day. You've got to make it to make sure
- 27:16Speaker 2: that your message is getting out. There is here the
- 27:18Speaker 2: five or three two things that are doing in the
- 27:20Speaker 2: healthy American public?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah? So, and what about twenty twenty eight? Gavin Newsom
- 27:25Speaker 1: looks like the front runner. But what do you think.
- 27:28Speaker 1: He's the show horse, not the workhorse.
- 27:31Speaker 2: They say he's a show horse, and he's got severe
- 27:34Speaker 2: problems in California, financial issues and what have you. And
- 27:38Speaker 2: he has him a particularly good governor, but sometimes it's
- 27:41Speaker 2: a matter of change, you know. And he's getting up
- 27:44Speaker 2: the attention at this point in time, and you know,
- 27:47Speaker 2: I think there'll be several of the candidates are running,
- 27:49Speaker 2: so they're going to have a primary. We may have
- 27:50Speaker 2: a primary too, though, so I think at the end
- 27:52Speaker 2: of the day, we need to focus on the mid
- 27:54Speaker 2: term and the next presidential lecture right now.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but a couple of years out, you always see
- 27:59Speaker 1: some gland a good looking guy who's way out in front,
- 28:03Speaker 1: Gary Hart, John Edwards. But don't they always go down
- 28:06Speaker 1: in flames. They never end up with the nomination.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Do they. Fortunately fortune they happen up to this point
- 28:11Speaker 2: in time. My sense is, yeah, I think the critical
- 28:15Speaker 2: thing here is there's so much on the plate right now,
- 28:19Speaker 2: let's make sure we have full scale of candidates. We're
- 28:22Speaker 2: still going to see small Republicans drop out. I mean
- 28:25Speaker 2: they're they're coming back from their home vacation Christmas vacation,
- 28:29Speaker 2: and a lot of them have beat up pretty good
- 28:30Speaker 2: by their friends and family. You'll go back there and
- 28:33Speaker 2: do something. What's going on? If if you sat me
- 28:36Speaker 2: down today and you and I had luncheon said, are
- 28:38Speaker 2: heard that the worships of matter, what would they be?
- 28:41Speaker 2: H you?
- 28:41Speaker 7: Could you have?
- 28:42Speaker 2: Could do it? I could do it? It could the
- 28:44Speaker 2: public do it? That's the key thing here is you've
- 28:46Speaker 2: got to make sure you have a communication message. Uh,
- 28:49Speaker 2: here's what we're doing. While we're doing it, you know,
- 28:51Speaker 2: getting rid of Chairman Powell, are basically dragging into the
- 28:54Speaker 2: course for overspending and building a building is not is
- 28:58Speaker 2: not what the country's focusing.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Uh hey, Rose, let me ask you something. The divisiveness,
- 29:04Speaker 1: the hatred. You know, if you have anything with Trump,
- 29:06Speaker 1: people won't talk to you. They screaming. When you were
- 29:09Speaker 1: working for Nixon or Reagan, it was divided then. But
- 29:11Speaker 1: was it that bad Whether people have refused to speak
- 29:13Speaker 1: to you because you were working for them?
- 29:16Speaker 2: No, dog, And this is the worst I've ever seen it.
- 29:20Speaker 2: And I don't know, I don't know when it goes
- 29:22Speaker 2: back in the bottle again. In the sense that we've
- 29:25Speaker 2: got to have some bipartisanship. That unless either side winds
- 29:29Speaker 2: big in the in the midterms, which you know, I
- 29:32Speaker 2: would say at this point in time, that's that's unlikely.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It's still going to be very divided Congress. And it's
- 29:37Speaker 2: how you got to look to the public. You're working together. Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 2: we're not. We're not a parliamentary system where you know,
- 29:45Speaker 2: democracy and equally s important. You know, we can't get
- 29:48Speaker 2: military to all these places. We've got a great military.
- 29:52Speaker 2: We need to build it up. But the big battles
- 29:54Speaker 2: are still Ahead's gonna be a budget battles. I mean,
- 29:56Speaker 2: you know, we still got the whole CONVI has to
- 29:59Speaker 2: deal with the budget. That's that's gonna be a real battle. Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Hey, today, later today, Bruce Blakeman gets inaugurated for a
- 30:06Speaker 1: second term county executive. I think he'd be he'd be
- 30:09Speaker 1: a great governor.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Uh.
- 30:11Speaker 1: The what are the chances for a Republican in New
- 30:15Speaker 1: York State?
- 30:17Speaker 2: Well and not great because of the overwhelming of Democrats.
- 30:20Speaker 2: And Bruce is a superb candidate who's run a great county.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Uh.
- 30:25Speaker 2: And I think if anything, that he won't he won't
- 30:28Speaker 2: have a primary. And I think to a certain extent,
- 30:31Speaker 2: we have an opportunity against a very very weak governor.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, well Ed Rolands, great stuff. We always
- 30:37Speaker 1: love talking to you. Thanks for being with us. Take care.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah later today. Bruce Blakeman inauguration for a second term
- 30:45Speaker 1: is County. He's the best county executive in America. And
- 30:49Speaker 1: the job of a county executive you're basically the governor.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You're the governor of Nassau County, and Nassau County is huge.
- 30:56Speaker 1: It's three million people. It's bigger than some states. So uh,
- 31:00Speaker 1: there's nobody more qualified to take over as governor of
- 31:03Speaker 1: New York election coming up later this year. He would
- 31:05Speaker 1: be perfect. I'm going to go to the inauguration today.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I'll report back to you tomorrow all about it. Hey,
- 31:11Speaker 1: don't forget Buck and Clay. They'll be here at noon
- 31:14Speaker 1: today with a great show for you. And then the
- 31:16Speaker 1: most listened to radio show in America Sean Hannity at three,
- 31:20Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Fayler. Boy, people love this
- 31:23Speaker 1: new show. It's a great talk show. It's interesting, it's entertaining,
- 31:27Speaker 1: it's funny. Jimmy Fayler every night at nine, seven to ten.
- 31:30Speaker 1: WR Mar Simo seen. Well, Jerome Powell. The DOJ I
- 31:41Speaker 1: think was Jenine Piro announced, Well, they didn't announce it. Actually,
- 31:45Speaker 1: there's an investigation into Powell. You know, the FED rebuilt
- 31:48Speaker 1: this office building. Should have been about a five hundred
- 31:51Speaker 1: million dollar job. They spent about three billion. So everybody
- 31:54Speaker 1: wants to know where the missing money went and why
- 31:57Speaker 1: they overpaid so unbelievably much. But Powell had a testify
- 32:02Speaker 1: for Congress, so I guess the charge will be lying
- 32:06Speaker 1: the Congress. Now, usually it'd be Congress that would bring
- 32:08Speaker 1: these charges, so for the Justice Department to do this,
- 32:11Speaker 1: President Trump responded, this is not the way I want
- 32:16Speaker 1: to go, implying that he's not behind it. But apparently
- 32:21Speaker 1: was Powell that released this. He's trying to get ahead
- 32:23Speaker 1: of it. So it was Powell that and he doesn't
- 32:26Speaker 1: usually do this, but all of a sudden, he held
- 32:28Speaker 1: a press conference, and he put on the glasses, got
- 32:30Speaker 1: all dressed up and created a beautiful background and everything,
- 32:34Speaker 1: and did this press conference announcing that he's a target.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I guess he implied it was law fare. But if
- 32:40Speaker 1: all that money went missing, you're either a crook or
- 32:45Speaker 1: you're a total incompetent. If you couldn't keep track of
- 32:47Speaker 1: your spending and you're overpaid by like eight million percent
- 32:51Speaker 1: on a new building, you're really incompetent. So either way,
- 32:54Speaker 1: it's taxpayer money comes out of people's paychecks, it should
- 32:58Speaker 1: be investigated. Hey, we got a lot to get to
- 33:00Speaker 1: in the next hour. We'll get to McDonald's, we'll get
- 33:03Speaker 1: to Minnesota and a mom Donnie, and a whole lot
- 33:07Speaker 1: more coming up right after the news. Mark Simone here
- 33:10Speaker 1: on seven to ten wo
