- 0:01It's happening, gold and silver investors, and you are making it
- 0:06happen. We're going to talk about that
- 0:08in a minute. But I also today learned some
- 0:10shocking information. I took my daughter's shoe
- 0:14shopping that took about four hours, but I talked to one of
- 0:19the clerks at the local Nike outlet store, Nike outlet store,
- 0:23and he shared something with me, which is absolutely shocking.
- 0:28We're going to talk about that a little bit later, but let's talk
- 0:30about the fact that it's happening right now, right?
- 0:34We're going to move into some information from UBS big
- 0:37international bank, what they're saying about gold.
- 0:40We're going to talk about that. It's happening.
- 0:42It's not just percolating. We're starting to see a few
- 0:45bubbles on the bottom of the pot and things are starting to move
- 0:48for silver and gold. But you know what you're doing
- 0:52when you own silver, when you own gold, when you, when you
- 0:56convert, right, your paper money like this, the old trusty
- 1:00dollar, my favorite prop here in the basement.
- 1:03When you convert this into real money, this silver, OK, you are
- 1:11taking a step outside the system.
- 1:14OK, You are doing what the founding fathers of this country
- 1:19wanted you to do. You're not playing in their game
- 1:23now, granted, right? We have to play in the Fiat
- 1:26paper we have. We have to play with this.
- 1:28It's fun to play. It's play money, right?
- 1:32They force us, don't they? Right.
- 1:34We're forced to play with this. Most states don't have legal
- 1:38tender legislation and, and, and doing day-to-day transactions
- 1:43outside of this with silver number one is very cumbersome #2
- 1:47very costly because there's a big transaction cost involved
- 1:51with it. Right?
- 1:53OK. But, but we'll play with their
- 1:55play money a little bit. But when you convert last time,
- 2:01I'll show you any of this Fiat into real money and you hold on
- 2:06to it. I mean, are you like me?
- 2:08Like I've never, I've never sold an ounce of silver.
- 2:11I'll swear on my life or anyone for that matter, right?
- 2:16I look at it as a long term generational type investment.
- 2:20If I have to at some point, absolutely.
- 2:22If the price skyrockets, right? If the, if the relative value
- 2:27skyrockets, if I can convert, you know, 500 ounces of silver
- 2:33at some point for a nice house or some, or some farmland or a
- 2:37piece of machinery or something else, right.
- 2:40If we get in a situation which I think we could, where the value
- 2:45of silver, the value of gold goes through the roof, sure, you
- 2:50know, I'll consider converting some of it.
- 2:53Not into this crap, excuse my language, paper or electronic or
- 2:58any other form of whatever they want to try to convince us is
- 3:01worth something, No. So when you own silver, when you
- 3:06own physical gold, you're taking a brave step, but you're moving
- 3:11outside of the funny money make believe Unicorn fart does
- 3:15synthetic world the dream world right?
- 3:19It's like we're living in a fantasy land or something that
- 3:23most people are living with. Then funny money.
- 3:26I mean, really, guys, this is I, I know, right?
- 3:2998% of people would listen to what I'm saying, say this guy's
- 3:33nuts, this guy's nuts. But they don't take the time to
- 3:36dig in and realize what's really going on.
- 3:39And you do you step, step outside the casino or however
- 3:44you want to say it. And you have the courage right
- 3:47to to invest in that real money. Just think about it.
- 3:52And we're going to move on. I got some stories.
- 3:54I got to tell you what happened at the Nike store today, a very
- 3:58young silver stacker. But that's not the shocking
- 4:01news, OK? But you're taking that step
- 4:05outside the system. And now.
- 4:08And the final point we need to drive home on this is just
- 4:11think. Think 500 years ago and think
- 4:15what this was worth. Think 50 years from now, what do
- 4:19you think this will be worth? Wait till you see a price
- 4:22comparison that I do with this, right?
- 4:24Yes, two strip stakes. What do you think this cost 50
- 4:31years ago? Guys?
- 4:33These are from Walmart Prime grade.
- 4:35I'll tell you more about those later.
- 4:37What do you think those costs 50 years ago?
- 4:39What do you think this is going to be worth 50 years from now?
- 4:43What do you think this is going to get you?
- 4:45What do you think this is going to get you 50 years from now?
- 4:52I tell you what, it's not my money.
- 4:55My value is on this, right? That's a beautiful silver round
- 5:01that came from our friend Big Tim, the Silver Shire.
- 5:03Wow, that's how close we can get it.
- 5:06I know. I chew my fingernails.
- 5:07I apologize. I've got a few faults.
- 5:10If that's as bad as it gets, that's as bad as it gets.
- 5:13OK, But it's happening right now.
- 5:15All right, let's just run out. Everybody's talking about gold
- 5:18and silver. Everybody.
- 5:19It's not just us. Listen to this.
- 5:21Let's run out to this article from Kitco.
- 5:24Quickly run through this. Here's the headline.
- 5:28I don't want. What is this close?
- 5:30All of a sudden everybody's talking about gold.
- 5:33This is the Alamos Gold's John McCluskey on precious metals.
- 5:39And it's true. Gold is finally getting some
- 5:42attention from the mainstream press.
- 5:44He's the CEO of Alamos Gold. He said that on Wednesday when
- 5:47he was talking to Kitco Mining. We talked about this this
- 5:50morning, right? The Wall Street.
- 5:52Well, let's, let's just go through this Alamos blah, blah,
- 5:56blah. Investors appear.
- 5:58It's a gross story talking about gold.
- 6:01Talking generally about gold, McCluskey said investors are
- 6:04starting to notice the metal. Gold has set several all time
- 6:08highs in 2024 and recently broke through $2500 an ounce.
- 6:13Here's where he says this is what we want to pay attention
- 6:17to. I've probably seen more articles
- 6:21on gold in the last week that I've seen in the last three
- 6:25months. Do you agree with that?
- 6:28And when they're talking about gold, the granddaddy of metals,
- 6:30they're talking about silver, he said.
- 6:32You know, even though gold was running, the press was largely
- 6:36ignoring it. And suddenly the Financial
- 6:40Times, we covered that in the live stream this morning, has
- 6:44got an article on gold. The Wall Street Journal, I
- 6:47didn't realize that has an article on gold.
- 6:51Everybody's talking about gold. And all of a sudden, OK, Mcclus
- 6:56McCluskey speculated that 2500 was the quote magic number that
- 7:03we are all waiting for. Do you think, huh, Do you think
- 7:062500? Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys,
- 7:10guys, let's go take a look and put a big smile on our precious
- 7:14metals face, huh? I think eventually we're all
- 7:16going to have gold teeth, but let's put a smile on our face
- 7:21and just review. We'll go to this side here.
- 7:24PIMPI MB EX pendbex.com channel sponsor Please support the
- 7:33channel sponsors. They make the basement.
- 7:36They'll they they, they enable us to come together here in the
- 7:40basement you to come down here in the basement with me.
- 7:43So please support them and please help me remember to pull
- 7:49their website up properly. There we are.
- 7:51You should be seeing it now. 25 two $1514.00 Gold, silver
- 7:59$29.88. I know, not news to you, but let
- 8:04that sink in. It's sinking in, right?
- 8:07Probably already sunk in to your brain, but think about the
- 8:11millions of people this weekend who are just for the first time
- 8:17starting to perk up and realize about gold.
- 8:20I'm getting all kinds of new emails from new people.
- 8:24OK, It's hard for me to respond to them.
- 8:26All about gold and silver. It's more than just percolating.
- 8:30I don't know what the next stage is, past percolation, but people
- 8:35are starting to pay attention. And guys, it is not.
- 8:39You got to realize this is an absolute mathematical fact that
- 8:43when you start from such a small number of people, a small number
- 8:49of money that's invested in the precious metals, it is so easy
- 8:55for a small number to double or triple OK from .5% of the
- 9:02world's financial assets in precious metals.
- 9:04It's real easy for .5 to go to two, but that's a four times
- 9:10increase. It's a heck of a lot harder for
- 9:1420% to go to 80%. That would also be a four times.
- 9:18So we've got this, this, this golden opportunity in front of
- 9:23us where we, we, we, we could, right?
- 9:25Don't make any financial decisions, don't do anything
- 9:28based on what I'm saying. But we could be you and I could
- 9:33be way ahead of the curve, way ahead of the curve, right?
- 9:36And it's often painful. That's a fact, right?
- 9:40Being early. Being early, meaning that we may
- 9:43be, you know, stacked a little too early, right?
- 9:47Maybe. But precious metal mining stocks
- 9:49a little too early, right? Being early can often times feel
- 9:53like wrong. Now, I don't think you'll ever
- 9:55go wrong if you do support channel sponsor pinbecks.
- 9:59If you're looking to get some gold, silver, or platinum group
- 10:01metals, please compare what you can get from pinbecks to what
- 10:05you can get from the other online bullion dealers.
- 10:08And that same rule applies if you ever decide to convert part
- 10:12or all of an IRA into precious metals.
- 10:14You want to do yourself a big, big, big favor.
- 10:17Take your time, compare what you get from a number of different
- 10:21sources, OK? And I think you'll find that
- 10:24Pembex comes out on top, at least that's what I found.
- 10:28And on top of that, they always have a great selection.
- 10:30Their customer service is great and I know it's a company I can
- 10:35trust cause I've done multiples of multiples of of transactions
- 10:40with them over the last year. I think Pembex is best and you
- 10:43will too. Next up I'll be creating some
- 10:46type of Pembex theme song and maybe lose my sponsorship.
- 10:51By the way guys, let me pull this up for you.
- 10:54OK, it'll be a week from today that will be giving away these 3
- 10:58silver bars, A10 oz coke bar, A5 oz coke bar and a one ounce coke
- 11:02bar. That's 16 ounces of coke, right?
- 11:05There's a link in the description of this and all the
- 11:07videos where you can learn how to enter the giveaway.
- 11:11We got more to cover. I have learned something
- 11:14shocking today. OK, my daughter's wanted to get
- 11:16new shoes, so we went to the Nike outlet here in Saint Louis,
- 11:20The outlet malls in the Chesterfield Valley, right?
- 11:23I live in Chesterfield. Chesterfield I, we live in kind
- 11:26of the lower end part of Chesterfield, but Chesterfield's
- 11:29kind of a wealthy middle, upper middle class area of Saint
- 11:32Louis. This isn't a good part of town
- 11:35and I learned a couple things. Number one, don't ever go shoe
- 11:38shopping with 12 year old girls because we were there for what
- 11:41seemed like a long time. But I was very patient, OK and
- 11:45and they eventually picked out some shoes after trying on every
- 11:48pair of shoes that they had in the store.
- 11:50But there was this nice young man who was helping us.
- 11:53He told me something shocking that you're going to get out of
- 11:56me within the next two minutes. But but he was very patient and
- 12:01he would check their toes and their shoes.
- 12:04He was really nice. Somehow.
- 12:07Of course, I started talking about silver and gold with them.
- 12:10He's 21 years old, and he's a silver stacker.
- 12:13OK, hold on a second. Felt like I was dying there for
- 12:25a moment. And he told me, he said, and
- 12:27this guy, he has to stand in the shoe section of this Nike outlet
- 12:31store, and it was swamped with people.
- 12:34OK. I mean, really, was he used to
- 12:36stand there all day long and like put shoes back in boxes
- 12:39and, you know, and I was like, and he's like, I'm not going to
- 12:41stand here all day. And he's told me he's like, I
- 12:44convert part of my money into real money into silver.
- 12:47My dad taught me he's 21 years old, super nice young man.
- 12:50But this is what he told me that was shocking, you know, because
- 12:54you hear these stories about these mobs of kids going into
- 12:57stores and, like, ripping off the store, right?
- 13:01And this is a Nike outlet store. And I asked him, because my
- 13:04daughter's kept trying on all these shoes.
- 13:05I said, do people ever come in and, like, put on the new, new
- 13:09shoes and walk out the door? He was like, oh, yeah.
- 13:13He said it happens at least 5-4 or five times every single day.
- 13:17He said on a busy day like today, it could happen as many
- 13:20as 10 times. The people will come in, get a
- 13:23pair of shoes out-of-the-box, put them on their feet and walk
- 13:26out the door. And he said they don't, they had
- 13:28to take out the security tags because they were hurting
- 13:31people's feet inside the shoes. Like I said, those security
- 13:34tags, I said, well, do you chase them down?
- 13:37He said no. He said no.
- 13:39He said there's nothing we can do.
- 13:41He said I can watch the person put the shoes on, walk out the
- 13:45door and there's not. I, I, I was like, you don't
- 13:47chase me. Like, no, we're not allowed to
- 13:49do anything. I said, well, then the police
- 13:51get them. He's like, no, the police won't
- 13:53do anything because it's not over $1000.
- 13:57And I said, you mean to tell me that people just walk into the
- 14:00store, put on shoes and walk out the door and nothing happens?
- 14:05I mean, he was like, yeah, I said, well, what about do you
- 14:08ever get those, like, mobs of kids that come in with, you
- 14:11know, he said, oh, yeah, he said they cut.
- 14:13That happens. It happens.
- 14:15He said they come in and they'll have bags.
- 14:18They'll get actually take the bet because we have big bags up
- 14:21and they'll take our bags and fill it with stuff and walk out
- 14:25the door. I'm like, well, what do you?
- 14:27He's like, there's nothing. We I'm like, I, I'm just, I'm
- 14:30just like, you know, look again, I don't, we don't live in a
- 14:34rich, rich part of town, but it's a nice part of Saint Louis.
- 14:37And I'm like, you got to be kidding me that this goes on.
- 14:40I mean, what, what is the world? I'll be done.
- 14:43We're going to get back to gold and silver.
- 14:44What is the world come to, you know, what the heck is going on?
- 14:50You can just walk in. I said, and we pay the price.
- 14:52So yeah, you pay, you're paying the price.
- 14:54So I was tempted. I was like, look at my
- 14:56daughter's thinking, hey, go walk out the door.
- 14:59It's OK, it's free shoe day. You know which we didn't.
- 15:03We paid, of course, but it but I was I was talking to this young
- 15:06man. I'm like, well, we all pay the
- 15:07price. He's like, yeah, that's right.
- 15:09Absolutely. We all pay the price.
- 15:11All right, let's go take a look here.
- 15:14Let's see what UBS has to say. UBS, let's, let's do you know
- 15:19who UBS is? Hold on here.
- 15:23Let's go to let's just quickly look and see what UBS is saying
- 15:29about gold. UBS Bank, Who are they?
- 15:38It's a multinational bank and financial services company,
- 15:41blah, blah, blah, blah. UBS was formed.
- 15:43OK, Dad, this was the Union Bank of Switzerland.
- 15:46You ever hear of Swiss gold, Swiss bank accounts and the
- 15:49Swiss Bank Corporation? So this these are the big boys,
- 15:52OK? And that's the wrong article.
- 15:56Hey, look at this, huh? Yeah.
- 16:00You better use your Red Lobster gift card soon.
- 16:02They're going away. Here it is investing.com gold
- 16:07positioning does not look stretched.
- 16:10Does not look stretched despite record highs.
- 16:13That's from UBS. This is fresh news.
- 16:16OK, I know that may not be impressive to you.
- 16:20You're probably looking at more gold, but that's an impressive
- 16:22gold picture, if I don't say so myself.
- 16:26We got record gold prices. The analyst UBS believes the
- 16:30gold market is not overvalued. And you know what that means for
- 16:36silver. Hey, tomorrow we're going to
- 16:38talk about $44.00 by 44 dollars silver by Christmas and how it
- 16:42happens. I'll show you a sneak peek of
- 16:45that in a second because I am becoming more and more convinced
- 16:48that we're going to get $44 silver by Christmas.
- 16:51I could definitely be wrong. Please do not adopt A puppy, get
- 16:55engaged, or make any financial decisions based on anything I
- 16:58say. But Ronnie and I believe some of
- 17:01my fellow basement dwellers who are all hanging out here
- 17:04together on a Saturday night, that we believe in the very
- 17:08distinct potential that we could have $44 silver by Christmas.
- 17:12I don't know if I'm wrong. Maybe I'll do a live string with
- 17:15my shirt off and who knows? We'll do.
- 17:17There'll be some type of punishment that I will endure.
- 17:19Maybe you can come up with a good idea from Raj's basement.
- 17:23Here. The analysts consider
- 17:25macroeconomic factors, investor positioning and market dynamics
- 17:29to conclude that there is. Oh, what?
- 17:34The biggest bank in the universe?
- 17:36Or Switzerland? Anyway, potential for further
- 17:40price increases. Are you feeling it happening,
- 17:43guys? The Wall Street Journal,
- 17:47Financial Times, Rand's Basement, Chris Marcus at
- 17:50Arcadia Economics. I don't know.
- 17:52Everybody knows it's happening. We're in a new paradigm, a new
- 17:58paradigm. And what the heck's a paradigm?
- 18:00I always, that word always bugged me.
- 18:02Paradigm and pivot. We've pivoted.
- 18:04Pivot, paradigm, whatever. We're in a new weather pattern
- 18:09for silver and gold. We'll, we'll keep it simple here
- 18:11in the basement. The recent rally in gold prices
- 18:14has been largely driven by a favorable macroeconomic
- 18:18environment. UBS analyst point to several
- 18:21factors that have aligned to support the previous metals
- 18:24precious metals ascent dovish Fed expectations.
- 18:29OK, we know that one in addition to monetary policy geopolitical
- 18:34risk. How many times do we have to
- 18:35hear this in an upcoming US election?
- 18:38Really there's a an election in the United States.
- 18:41I didn't realize that. Thank you for that breaking
- 18:44news. Moreover, the US dollars, recent
- 18:47weakness. Oh, hold on a minute here, guys,
- 18:50guys, guys, let's let's talk about enough of this.
- 18:53UBS. OK, so UBS, the biggest bank in
- 18:56Switzerland, you know, Swiss Family Robinson, whatever, they
- 19:02know the gold's going higher. OK.
- 19:04Oh, OK. Thank you for that.
- 19:05Breaking news, UBS. We've been talking about that
- 19:07since a year ago here in the basement, our fellow basement
- 19:10dwellers. And I got a comment.
- 19:12I forgot. I forgot.
- 19:13I forgot. It's time for me to beg you or
- 19:16something. Look, it's a big deal when you
- 19:18decide to join me in the basement.
- 19:20I've got some big news for you. Forget UBS.
- 19:23Swiss Family Robinson. Let's talk about you.
- 19:26Thank you. OK.
- 19:28Your time's valuable. Sorry.
- 19:30OK. It's a big deal.
- 19:31When you come here, there's only one you.
- 19:33It's not Ron Tube. It's not Raj Tube.
- 19:36It's YouTube. Because you.
- 19:38OK, So thank you. Please give this a thumbs up and
- 19:42subscribe to the channel. If we get to 200 thumbs up, I
- 19:44will ring the cowbell if Susie alerts me because I can't see it
- 19:48with the streaming software I use called Stream Yard.
- 19:51But nonetheless, I'm not complaining.
- 19:52I don't think I can see it. I don't know, maybe I can't.
- 19:55Anyway, too much to keep track of.
- 19:58Please subscribe to the channel. I want you to come back, OK?
- 20:01I want you to be part of this group because you are important
- 20:05and that's the fact. I want you to feel comfortable.
- 20:09I want you to subscribe and I want you to leave a comment in
- 20:12the comment section. Guys, we can't figure this out
- 20:16on our own. We can't.
- 20:19But with the help of people like Andy Scheckman, Chris Marcus,
- 20:24Rick Rule, Ron from Ron's basement and the most important
- 20:29person, that's you together, right?
- 20:32Together we're like a bunch of we're not scared children,
- 20:36courageous children walking through a down a dark forest
- 20:39path together. And we all have a little
- 20:41flashlight and we can all shine it.
- 20:43But you know what? If we're by ourselves with our
- 20:45little flashlight, it's scary. If we all shine our flashlights
- 20:49together and stick together and work together, we'll get it all
- 20:52figured out. What was I going to show you?
- 20:56Oh yeah, UBS take EU off the front and it's BS Not we're
- 21:02happy. UBS likes the price of gold, but
- 21:05I think you'll like this even better.
- 21:08I got a surprise for you. Yeah.
- 21:11All right, let's go over here, run a little field trip on the
- 21:14Internet and shine your flashlights.
- 21:18Everybody sing Kumbaya. Here we go.
- 21:24We might joke around, but this is serious business because
- 21:28we're protecting ourselves, protecting our families.
- 21:30Let's go to the silver chart. All right, full screen, because
- 21:40we want you to have a full screen effect, big screen
- 21:43maximum. And here's what we want to look
- 21:48at. We're not.
- 21:50We're going to look at this a lot in the coming months because
- 21:54the US dollar is going to go into a bear market.
- 21:59That's my prediction. Now the last time are one of the
- 22:04more significant times that the US dollar went into a bear
- 22:09market. This red line represents on a
- 22:12technical graph what the silver price did.
- 22:15As you can see, we started in 2001 with a silver price.
- 22:20It's a silver, yeah, silver price.
- 22:23That was like $4.64 or, you know, depends on what day you
- 22:28look. It got really low here even.
- 22:29I mean, it was down right under $5 and over that period as the
- 22:34US dollar went into a bear market, this was not that long
- 22:39ago. And we're not talking, we're not
- 22:42looking at a chart from 1970 or 1935 or 1980.
- 22:47We're looking at a chart that is starts about 25 years ago and
- 22:53ends about 13 years ago, guys. OK.
- 22:56And the silver price during that bear market went from under $5
- 23:01all the way to $50. That's what we can look forward
- 23:06to. That's what I believe in.
- 23:09And that was a 10 times increase.
- 23:12So all right, the price of silver can hit $300.00.
- 23:18I don't care. I'll say it right.
- 23:19You may not like it. You know, the, the, the people
- 23:22will, will throw fits and say, oh, whatever, you know, what
- 23:27else do we have going on right now?
- 23:29We've got a few more things to talk about.
- 23:31So then I went to Walmart and I know you like to talk about
- 23:36cooking, right? But I bought these, I splurged.
- 23:40I didn't know that Walmart. Did you know this Walmart, they
- 23:44by the way, they backed their steaks with a 100% money back
- 23:48guarantee, but they sell the highest grade beef.
- 23:54OK, and I'm going to but we're going to talk about we're going
- 23:57to talk about how that what that has to do with this right here
- 24:01because I've got the interesting data point.
- 24:04All right, this. What does this have to do with
- 24:08this? Now, important to remember
- 24:12Prime, I'm going to teach you quickly about steak.
- 24:15Beef is as is Prime choice select.
- 24:18What do you, what do you see when you walk into a computer
- 24:21store? PCs Prime.
- 24:25That's an acronym. PCs Prime Choice Select Prime is
- 24:28the top grade of beef. They're selling prime beef,
- 24:31which I've never seen at Walmart.
- 24:33OK, so I bought these. I splurged.
- 24:35Look, I haven't had a steak in a year.
- 24:38All right? And Susie and I, the girls are
- 24:40out spending the night at their friend's house.
- 24:41So we're having a special night, although she doesn't really like
- 24:44steak, but she's going to like this steak because it's good
- 24:46steak. She doesn't realize what's
- 24:47coming. My question was, so this was
- 24:51$27.00 for two New York strip steaks, $15 per pound.
- 24:57I wonder. And I thought as we talk about
- 24:59the value of this stuff, paper money.
- 25:01OK. Compared to how?
- 25:04Yes. I'm saying hi.
- 25:06Oh, hi, Susie. Where are you?
- 25:08I'm right here. Hold on.
- 25:11Oh, she's on the steps. Everybody say hi to Susie.
- 25:16She's showing herself again. Yeah, you're fine.
- 25:19You're fine. We're coming.
- 25:22I don't think they can hear you, but Susie says hi.
- 25:24She's on the steps. We're going to compare this to
- 25:27this. OK.
- 25:32To this or to that? That's silver.
- 25:37OK, Now let's go check this out. Very interesting.
- 25:42There's actually a website. Steak prices and where'd it go?
- 25:49Here it is the price. No, come on, I hate these
- 25:53websites that do the price of steak the year you were born.
- 25:58Oh, this is one of those websites with a zillion pop up
- 26:01deals. Anyway, we're going to bear
- 26:02through this the price of steak the year you were born.
- 26:05And who doesn't love a good steak?
- 26:09While vegans and vegetarians, nothing against anybody, that
- 26:12blah, blah, blah steak has long been synonymous with good
- 26:17eating. Here, you can get the Kobe beef
- 26:19steak back to six. Whatever.
- 26:21Here, almost $1000 a pound. I've never had that.
- 26:26OK, normal steak. Get a good steakhouse will cost
- 26:29you 50 or $60.00. Yeah, who can afford that?
- 26:33I buy my steaks at Walmart, but Walmart has prime beef, at least
- 26:36the one here in Saint Louis. Let's go down.
- 26:38This is the price of beef the year you were born, 1935 a a 1
- 26:44LB of sirloin cost $0.22. OK, inflation adjusted.
- 26:51Bah. Bah.
- 26:51All right, let's go down. We're going to weigh it down
- 26:5336th. Hold on.
- 26:55We better do this like this. We're going to go to 1971, the
- 26:59year that I will stop. In 1963 it was a pound, a pound
- 27:05of sirloin with $0.63. Now strip steaks are generally 1
- 27:091/2 times more expensive than sirloin, so these strip steaks
- 27:13would have cost about a dollar a pound in 1960.
- 27:17Three, 1971. Here it is 1971.
- 27:27I was one year old. The price of 1 LB of sirloin
- 27:32steak was $0.85 per pound. So that would have meant that a
- 27:37strip steak back then would have cost about $1.20.
- 27:41But what? You know what, we'll to be
- 27:42conservative as we always are, we'll say $1.50 a dollar.
- 27:46Fifty per pound today, OK, per pound on this package.
- 27:53And that was the year Nixon took us off the gold standard.
- 27:55We're looking at if you can see that.
- 27:58Yeah. 15 dollars, $15 per pound. OK, Again, USDA Prime, right.
- 28:06So that's, this is supposed to be the good stuff, $15 per
- 28:11pound. Does that does that make sense?
- 28:13You know, I don't know, right? You're talking to a guy when
- 28:17when we look at the fact that the price of of a steak has gone
- 28:23up 10 times since 1971, right. So what's the price of silver
- 28:31done since 1971? You know, let's go let's see if
- 28:34we can find out here. We'll go we'll go on a little
- 28:37field trip. I should know this, but I don't
- 28:40So Apollo, I apologize. Let's go to Google and just ask
- 28:46price of silver. I have you guys on Yes I do 1971
- 28:59$1.50 per oz. Well, that's interesting.
- 29:03That means that silver has gone up.
- 29:07These are rough calculations, but accurate calculations.
- 29:10OK, the value of this this wasn't worth this was $1.50 in
- 29:151971, measured in US Fiat Unicorn fart dust money $1.50.
- 29:21OK, $1.50. Now it's worth $30.
- 29:25This came from Big 10 to Silvershire.
- 29:27I love it. It's a beautiful silver round.
- 29:29Now, OK, that means it's gone up 20 times in value.
- 29:34OK, this these two steaks, right?
- 29:41Yes, these two steaks, 15 about 2 lbs.
- 29:44OK, about 2 lbs of steak would have cost $3 back in 1971.
- 29:50They're they've gone up 10 * 10 times.
- 29:54OK. That means the dollar is worth
- 29:56what, 10% in terms of stake of what it was back then.
- 30:02However, the the value of the silver went up 20X if if you had
- 30:08that's interesting. Think about this here, because
- 30:11that's right about the price of silver for this package of
- 30:14steaks, $27.38. This is about one ounce of
- 30:18silver, right? I could have traded this in
- 30:21theory for this today. OK, yeah, that is really
- 30:27interesting. But back in 1971, for the same
- 30:32price that I would have bought this $3, it would have been
- 30:36about $3 in 1971 for a prime, two prime strip steaks, I could
- 30:41have got 2 oz. So I could have, I could have,
- 30:44instead of buying steak in 1971 for $3, OK, 2 lbs of of strip,
- 30:51instead of buying the steak, I could have bought two of these,
- 30:55right? And if I'd held on to them
- 30:57today, if I still want to get these same steaks, it only cost
- 31:01me one of these. I hope that makes sense.
- 31:03I mean silver's outperformed in real term and steak is very
- 31:09expensive. The steak why I went out on a
- 31:11real steak adventure. Hopefully these turn out good.
- 31:14I'm going to cook them here once we we get off the the live
- 31:16stream. But who wants to talk about
- 31:18steak when we can talk about about the big R Red Lobster
- 31:22seafood. Let's let's touch on that just
- 31:24how great things are out there right now in the economy because
- 31:28we get this news from the local Saint Louis KSDK 5 on your side,
- 31:33Red Lobster to close 23 additional restaurants within
- 31:37days, including one in Saint Louis.
- 31:40We got red lobsters everywhere here.
- 31:42Anyway, they're exercising they're right They they, they
- 31:46had a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
- 31:48We talked about that back in May 19th, but now they're closing
- 31:52additional restaurants. Things are getting dicey out
- 31:56there, but what's important to remember is all these red
- 31:59lobsters that are closing their doors.
- 32:02There's going to be a lot of Walgreens that are closing their
- 32:07doors. You know what, guys?
- 32:09There's people that own that real estate.
- 32:12That's the way it works. That's part of the commercial
- 32:14real estate game. You're right.
- 32:16Even with like dollar stores, I don't know if you realize this.
- 32:19I've got a buddy, Sean, Sean Williamson.
- 32:22He has a book, it's on Amazon. He's ACPA.
- 32:25He's wealthy. He's self-made, man.
- 32:27Very smart guy. Anyway, he told me that people
- 32:33will buy you can. I mean, it's very not hard to
- 32:35do. You can buy like a Walgreens,
- 32:38OK, the real estate, or you can buy like a dollar store.
- 32:42You don't own the dollar store, but you own the land in the
- 32:46building and then you lease it to the dollar store.
- 32:50Same thing with Walgreens, all those Walgreens that popped up
- 32:53everywhere. Walgreens, as far as I
- 32:55understand, doesn't own the land in the real estate, OK.
- 33:00They they rent that an investor buys it.
- 33:03So an investor think about this, goes to the bank, takes out a
- 33:06loan for $800,000 and buys that land and has the building built
- 33:13for the dollar store or Walgreens or Red Lobster, for
- 33:17instance, right? And then they lease it.
- 33:21So there's banks, there's people and you're up, you know,
- 33:24Americans, retirement funds and pensions are invested into this
- 33:29type of thing. Those red lobsters that are
- 33:32closing. What I think we could see in the
- 33:35next it is going to be, it is going to be ugly.
- 33:40I could be wrong. Maybe I'm just negative,
- 33:42cynical, you know, maybe my calculator is broken, all right?
- 33:48Maybe, maybe, maybe we have faulty calculators none the
- 33:51less, right? If you just do the basic math,
- 33:54it's going to be ugly, in my opinion.
- 33:56Don't make any financial decisions anything like that.
- 33:59But we're going to see a lot. You go down these roads in these
- 34:02suburban towns and it's, it's one thing after another.
- 34:06You know, I mean, casual restaurants and everything is so
- 34:10people can't afford it. The outlet mall was packed
- 34:13today. And I thought, well, the
- 34:14economy, maybe I'm wrong. The economy must be good.
- 34:16And I thought, wait a minute, this is an outlet mall.
- 34:19This is where people go where they need to save money.
- 34:22The Nike outlet, the Ralph Lauren outlet stores, That's why
- 34:26they go there. You know, these, these, these,
- 34:32every time a Walgreens shuts its doors, right, there's a, there's
- 34:37an investor, there's a pension fund that has this hundreds of
- 34:40thousands, maybe millions of dollars invested in that land,
- 34:44in that building. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm
- 34:48real sure I'm right. And guess what, right?
- 34:51That's a catastrophic event for that pension fund or that, or
- 34:56that bank that had loaned that money to that investor.
- 35:00Now the bank, right? We talk about the commercial
- 35:02real estate, and we all think of office buildings, office
- 35:05buildings. And yes, they're in deep
- 35:07trouble. But there's other components to
- 35:08that as well, including restaurants, right?
- 35:13The Best Buy stores that you see everywhere that are closing up.
- 35:16They closed up a couple here in Saint Louis.
- 35:18I mean, it is gonna get very, very, very dicey, OK?
- 35:23I know when you make the decision to buy silver, when you
- 35:27made the decision to buy gold, you made a decision to take a
- 35:30step outside the system, which is courageous.
- 35:33OK, You're stepped out of the dream world, baby, and you moved
- 35:37into the real world, the real money world.
- 35:41Have a great rest of your evening.
- 35:43Thank you guys for being here. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 35:46wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 35:48wait, wait, wait. I almost forgot.
- 35:51Remember, when you comment, right, there's always a chance
- 35:54that you could be featured on Ron's basement.
- 35:56Today we have a featured comment that we're going to get to.
- 36:00There's another shot of those silver bars that'll be given
- 36:03away a week from today from our friends at Pembex.
- 36:07This one's funny. For those of you haven't read
- 36:09it, this guy's is a pickup truck bumper sticker.
- 36:11I'm pro Pipeline. My truck doesn't run on fairy
- 36:15dust and Unicorn piss. All right, that's record credit
- 36:20card debt, blah blah blah. There's some nice motivational
- 36:24things. We may encounter many defeats,
- 36:26but we must not be defeated. There's Susie and I at the
- 36:30restaurant. That's a sneak peek on what's
- 36:32you're going to see tomorrow. Here's another sneak peek.
- 36:35Sneak peek $44 silver by Christmas, Raj said.
- 36:44I'm sorry, no, this guy's name is LLL Wife.
- 36:49Whatever. He said this just five hours
- 36:52ago, said if India takes over the world of silver.
- 36:55What do you mean if come on basement dweller, you can change
- 37:00your and the name of the show to Raj's basement.
- 37:05Guys, it is happening. Didn't we talk about this this
- 37:09morning? II has 1.4 billion people.
- 37:13India is the precious metals capital of the world.
- 37:15India alone can propel the price of silver to 44 dollars and
- 37:19beyond by Christmas. We're talking about the
- 37:22potential for India buying, right?
- 37:25They are an importer of silver, buying 30% of the world's output
- 37:31of silver, OK? We're talking about a country
- 37:36where they're citizens and it's not just for all those
- 37:40industrial applications. No, they're buying it as an
- 37:43investment as well, the situation in India.
- 37:46And we're not even talking about China.
- 37:50OK, some people like when I whisper, we're not talking about
- 37:55China. China is a secret.
- 37:56We can't talk about China, but we can talk about India, right?
- 38:01They got 100 million plus people who are becoming wealthy.
- 38:06They're entering the consumer class in the coming years. 100.
- 38:12No, Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 38:14Let's talk about the rule of 30%.
- 38:16They're already potentially going to import 30% of the world
- 38:19silver this year. But but look at this, 100
- 38:24million people that are suddenly going to need air conditioning,
- 38:27100 million people that are suddenly going to have
- 38:29discretionary income, 100 million people who love precious
- 38:34metals, that's a third of the United States.
- 38:39These are 100 million people who are, for the first time in their
- 38:42lives, have discretionary income.
- 38:45OK. All right.
- 38:46Hey, W William Craig Barrett says keep finding the facts we
- 38:50need, Ron, but please spend time on how we can spend out metal
- 38:53when the dollar goes S Yeah, well, you aren't going to have
- 38:57it when the dollar goes S, Guys, you're not going to have a
- 38:59problem spending your metal. OK.
- 39:02I mean, you know, there's all types of different levels of how
- 39:05this scenario could unfold. I, I, I, I, I, I'm not a
- 39:12complete doomsday like zombies walking around the streets, but
- 39:16trust me. And we get that question all the
- 39:19time. Maybe you have this question
- 39:22right. People will ask me this all the
- 39:24time. If silver goes to $100.00 an
- 39:27ounce, who's going to buy it? A lot of people will buy it.
- 39:32Is the only way that it goes to $100.00 an ounce is if people
- 39:38are buying it? When I say if when it doesn't go
- 39:43to $80.00 an ounce, it doesn't go to $150.00 per oz unless
- 39:49people are buying it. So when it goes much higher,
- 39:55which it will just my opinion, don't make any financial
- 39:58decisions based on that. But as I believe silver will go
- 40:04much higher if the only way it happens is because of buyers and
- 40:08guys. I hope you understand this idea
- 40:15because it's so critical to what we could see in the silver.
- 40:20We're seeing it in the gold market right now, right?
- 40:24And the gold markets bigger. There's more gold above ground
- 40:27than there is silver. Sorry I yelled at you.
- 40:30Sometimes we need to yell at each other.
- 40:33There's more gold in the world than silver, more above ground
- 40:36gold than silver. And what are we seeing in gold
- 40:41right now? You've heard it is 10 million
- 40:45times all time highs. Why?
- 40:48Why? Because there's been a wave of
- 40:51new investors, the world central banks.
- 40:53What do you think is going to happen to silver when a wave of
- 41:00new investors come in? And we know historically, right,
- 41:05that silver it's it's like a waterfall.
- 41:10So we saw what happened with gold when a wave of investors
- 41:14and that's just China and India, which are significant, right.
- 41:18But the West is just now starting to move into gold.
- 41:21What it what would Ath baby all time highs for gold?
- 41:28Silver still hasn't had that big wave of investors coming.
- 41:33We could have a wave of western investors coming to gold and
- 41:36propel it even higher and I believe that will be the case.
- 41:39Silver is just waking up, just waking up right now.
- 41:44So what happens when that wave of investors comes into the
- 41:48silver market? Guess what, the silver market,
- 41:51right the the, the, the silver market, there's less above
- 41:55ground silver in the world than gold number one.
- 41:59OK, but it's also much smaller from my from my measured in
- 42:05Unicorn fart dust paper dollar perspective, it's much smaller.
- 42:10So when that wave comes to silver, it could have just just
- 42:17profound, profound impact on the price, quite possibly a profound
- 42:25impact on your mood as well. Although we are doing pretty
- 42:30darn good now, aren't we, basement dwellers, OK, John
- 42:34says. I asked the vendor not too long
- 42:35ago if you would take 90% silver for payment and he said yes.
- 42:39I then asked the store owner clerk at a gas station.
- 42:42He asked for the value, and he said he would probably.
- 42:46Yeah. People are waking up everywhere.
- 42:49A Chinese. Chinese bank will pay top dollar
- 42:52for silver gold, even if it's illegal in the US.
- 42:55Hello, silver Lightning. Hello, John Goldsworthy.
- 42:59Banks will be begging to leash your metals.
- 43:01Help kick start a new financial system that full fully or
- 43:05partially backs deposits with precious metals.
- 43:08Yeah. Shadow work.
- 43:09Oh, that. Hey, there's coin shop, Chris.
- 43:11Oh, my gosh. Be a special guest.
- 43:14Coin Shop Chris. Guys, Guys, guys, guys.
- 43:16And then we're going to talk. We got one more major point to
- 43:19cover. But please, you see that guy?
- 43:21Coin Shop Chris. You know him, You love him.
- 43:24He's the guru. Yeah.
- 43:26I started his own YouTube channel.
- 43:29He was very involved here, right?
- 43:31Very supportive. Helped to make Ron's basement
- 43:33what it is today. Chris has ventured out onto his
- 43:36own and he's becoming like one of the fastest growing precious
- 43:40metals channels on YouTube. Yeah, he's fun to listen to.
- 43:44He's insightful. He's a little more focused on
- 43:47the coins, right? And the 90%, I'm a little more
- 43:51macro. We overlap.
- 43:52We love each other, right? We both share a love of
- 43:55collecting Barbies. That's an old joke, but please
- 44:00go check out Coin Shop Chris on YouTube.
- 44:03Go to the YouTube search bar. Not now, because I got one more
- 44:05big point for you, but go to that YouTube search bar, type in
- 44:09Coin Shop Chris. Hey, thank you.
- 44:11Shadow work. Wow, a super chat.
- 44:14I didn't even beg tonight. That goes a long way to help pay
- 44:17for my daughter's Nike tennis shoes that we got at the outlet
- 44:20mall. But hey, you know, I'm a guy
- 44:22who's eating prime beef tonight. Anyway, go check out Coin Shop
- 44:25Chris. Coin shop, Chris.
- 44:29Yeah. OK, so you're talking about
- 44:30using gold and silver as money, it's called.
- 44:35It's been a couple weeks. Let me refresh your memory on
- 44:39this one. Thank you.
- 44:41Shadow work. You're the best.
- 44:44We love you. We love all you guys, Susie.
- 44:48All right, let's go out here. Project sounds like something
- 44:54like really official 247, if I have that right.
- 44:59Oh, boy. Help is available.
- 45:00Not. That's not what I was looking
- 45:02for 24/7. All right, hold on.
- 45:05That's not funny. No, never.
- 45:07If you're ever feeling like that, do get help.
- 45:10What was it? It's the gold.
- 45:14Darn. It was the World Gold Council.
- 45:18Yeah, 247, There it is. It is.
- 45:22It's it's Gold 247, Project 2. Anyway, Gold 247, this guy's
- 45:27read about it, Read about it, read about it, because it's
- 45:31going to be a massive deal. This is the World Gold Council.
- 45:37OK? Oh my gosh.
- 45:39But they're going to take your gold from you and your silver
- 45:42possibly, or will they? Let's talk briefly about that.
- 45:46But this is a project being handled in conjunction by the
- 45:50World Gold Council and those people we love to hate, although
- 45:55we're going to love them on this, the LBMA, the London
- 45:58Bullion Market Association. I've never been to London,
- 46:01England, right, And I do a horrible British accent.
- 46:05But we know the LBMA they have they have they've manipulated
- 46:09the price of gold and silver for years.
- 46:12All right, It's coiled like a spring.
- 46:14Wait till you hear tomorrow what we're going to talk about with
- 46:16silver. But the LBMA they've they've
- 46:18manipulated the price of metals. They're the powerhouse.
- 46:21They probably still are. Nonetheless, they're now working
- 46:25with the with the World Gold Council on Gold 247 secret and
- 46:30it's trademarked is the Royal Gold Council's vision for
- 46:33transforming the global gold market to meet the challenges of
- 46:38today's consumers and investors. This is big, guys.
- 46:43They're working on digitizing physical gold.
- 46:47Now don't get all freaked out. It's not a cryptocurrency,
- 46:51right? It uses the blockchain to
- 46:54digitally track actual physical gold.
- 46:57It would actually be backed one for one by physical gold.
- 47:01It would probably start with those big 400 oz bars, which by
- 47:05the way, are not worth $1 million each.
- 47:07You've heard that already. The 400 oz bars are what they
- 47:10trade on the big exchanges. That's what the big central
- 47:13banks keeping their vaults, but they would digitize gold to make
- 47:18it functional to on the on the high level for for for
- 47:24transacting between the big banks, but also on a consumer
- 47:28level. And what is so exciting about
- 47:30this is that it could enable us to use gold.
- 47:34And I would hope eventually silver for everyday transactions
- 47:39allow you to save in gold and silver allow you to save, well,
- 47:45save in gold. They haven't said anything about
- 47:47silver. So I'm misspeaking when I say
- 47:49that. But eventually that will come.
- 47:51Save in gold, spend in gold. Rick Rule is who brought this to
- 47:57my attention. And he says he thinks we're
- 47:59going to see this by the balance of this decade, which is like
- 48:04only five years from now. OK.
- 48:07A real and put what's critical about this is #1 right, there's
- 48:11big names behind it, the World Gold Council and the LBMA.
- 48:17That's big point number one point #2 it's backed one for one
- 48:22by physical metal and it utilizes the blockchain that
- 48:26does not in any way, shape or form make it a cryptocurrency.
- 48:29The blockchain is the world's most safe, secure record keeping
- 48:34system in the world. But what's really important
- 48:37about it is what they aim to do is to lower.
- 48:40There's a lot of different, there's, there's a lot of
- 48:42different options out there right now that to 1° or another
- 48:48allow people to to utilize and save and gold and silver.
- 48:53But what this would do right? This, these are #1 big names and
- 48:57that and, and, and, and I'm nothing against any of these
- 48:59other companies that are doing it now, but these big name, the
- 49:03World Gold Council in the LBMA would, would add, unfortunately,
- 49:09especially with the LBMA credibility, right, credence
- 49:13behind it, people would trust it all right?
- 49:15But what's really critical is that it would drastically lower
- 49:20the per transaction cost to utilize gold, right?
- 49:25For everyday purchases, for going out to eat with your
- 49:29significant other, for buying groceries, for doing anything.
- 49:32Now, it's a bit cumbersome. Let's just be real, OK?
- 49:37This would so two more critical points that I want you to
- 49:42consider about this. Number one, it could create a,
- 49:48it could create mass adoption to precious metals as a way to save
- 49:54and invest, which could create a major wave of new purchases for
- 50:00the metals. And I think that eventually
- 50:02we'll see something along these lines with silver as well.
- 50:05So if everybody starts or a lot of people say, yeah, this is
- 50:09great, Oh yeah, I remember the everybody wakes up to this BS
- 50:13story, right, and wants to move more into these precious metals.
- 50:16It would create a wave and it would be doing so right, because
- 50:21of the credibility of the World Gold console and the LBMA, and
- 50:24it would be a big deal. The other thing is it will not
- 50:28nowhere in there I read through it all does it say that it would
- 50:31in any way, shape or form have any impact whatsoever on your
- 50:35ability to continue to stack precious metals to whatever
- 50:38extent you choose at your personal physical level.
- 50:43OK, this these would, this would be an electronic token, whatever
- 50:48they want to call it, unit, whatever that would be backed
- 50:51one for one by physical metal in a vault.
- 50:54OK. But it's not going to impact you
- 50:57if you want to use it for your everyday transactions.
- 50:59That's great. Look, I like to own the physical
- 51:04stuff myself. It's not going to impact that.
- 51:06So it's going to be interesting. Thank you for being here.
- 51:08Thank you for being part of Ron's basement.
