- 0:00Speaker 1: Everybody, what is happening? We are back. This is another
- 0:03Speaker 1: episode of Stay Out of My Fridge. My glasses are foggy.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It is hot up here. It is hot. We are sweating.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We just got in from some softball training and going,
- 0:12Speaker 1: what are you been in branded back and doing softball training?
- 0:15Speaker 1: It's me, it's Avery, it's Ila. We got a little
- 0:19Speaker 1: bit of a different set up, a little different studio
- 0:21Speaker 1: and look at that, we got some trophies. Probably should
- 0:23Speaker 1: have clean that up a little bit. We haven't listen
- 0:25Speaker 1: to a record since Thanksgiving. That's a Thanksgiving album. We
- 0:28Speaker 1: got to change that. But either way the wise you're hearing,
- 0:30Speaker 1: it's me, it's man as bird laws joining me. His
- 0:31Speaker 1: eyes already said Hilah. On that side, on me, Avery,
- 0:34Speaker 1: on that side on me, ladies, what is up?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Nothing, nothing at all?
- 0:39Speaker 2: No recording?
- 0:40Speaker 1: What recrding? You know, dad jokes, You guys don't always
- 0:44Speaker 1: find like the funniest. Sometimes kid jokes aren't always the
- 0:48Speaker 1: funniest recording. That was kind of dad jokus. I'm rubbing
- 0:52Speaker 1: off on you, aren't I yeah, yeah, we are live
- 0:55Speaker 1: in our kitchen studio setup. What do you think of
- 0:57Speaker 1: it as a weird how do you like it?
- 1:00Speaker 2: It's different, but it's what you used to do.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you used to have it right there and I
- 1:04Speaker 3: would play. I would sit here and I would watch you,
- 1:07Speaker 3: like do your videos where you go.
- 1:09Speaker 1: A reaction videos.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and then I would be in the background singing
- 1:13Speaker 3: Mwana songs or something, playing my ule.
- 1:16Speaker 1: That sounds about right. Yeah, that's crazy. It's we're full
- 1:19Speaker 1: circle here and the reason is our studio and it
- 1:23Speaker 1: is pretty small in the beard last studio. So if
- 1:26Speaker 1: I figured this would be a little bit comfier, was
- 1:29Speaker 1: that right? Was that wrong?
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Wait I was right or I was wrong?
- 1:33Speaker 2: You were right?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna clip that right there, and I'm gonna
- 1:37Speaker 1: save it for other moments when you're like, yep, you
- 1:39Speaker 1: were right. Surely when I think we get to the
- 1:42Speaker 1: point we can set up multiple cameras around the table
- 1:45Speaker 1: and we can be but I feel like this is
- 1:46Speaker 1: come here, is it not? I mean, it's not comf
- 1:49Speaker 1: here for me or maybe you. But you're not sitting
- 1:52Speaker 1: on a cooler avery, so that's got to be cooler. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: uh dad joke. So since the last time we talked
- 1:59Speaker 1: you guys, we're not even on there was a episode
- 2:02Speaker 1: that was just me and Meg in the Stay Out
- 2:04Speaker 1: of the Fridge and we've kind of really switched to
- 2:06Speaker 1: this family dynamic show. What do you guys think two
- 2:08Speaker 1: thumbs up need some work or what can we what
- 2:11Speaker 1: can we do a little bit better? Do you like it?
- 2:13Speaker 2: One and a half thumbs up?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Would you get in an accident and you only have
- 2:18Speaker 1: half a thumb for anybody that can't see her on camera,
- 2:20Speaker 1: which is everybody? Uh, she did a one and a
- 2:22Speaker 1: half thumbs What are you thinking?
- 2:25Speaker 2: I didn't hear you.
- 2:25Speaker 3: What did you say?
- 2:27Speaker 1: The new set up? The vibe so far? Are we
- 2:29Speaker 1: have to a get start, bad start, middle middle, just
- 2:32Speaker 1: one middle thumb, like one little tiny middle thumb like this.
- 2:36Speaker 3: And then you okay, so it's like okay.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But so one thumb, so pretty much one thumbs up
- 2:45Speaker 2: and one thumbs down.
- 2:46Speaker 3: In the middle like and then you are going towards up,
- 2:49Speaker 3: not down up, kind of like a window thing on
- 2:56Speaker 3: your car that goes.
- 2:57Speaker 2: A windshield wiper talking to your microphone. Okay, how's that going.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It's okay again, it's a little bit of a different vibe.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So it is cool and I like this personally because
- 3:06Speaker 1: I can stare both at you. We're in the kitchen.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It's not as cool, but it's not as hot if
- 3:10Speaker 1: we forget to run that air conditioner in the studio.
- 3:12Speaker 1: The other day there was somebody we were run in
- 3:14Speaker 1: a little bit late, which we're gonna get into the
- 3:16Speaker 1: trip here in a little bit, and I asked somebody
- 3:18Speaker 1: very nicely, could you please go turn on my studio
- 3:21Speaker 1: air conditioning, And in her defense, it was late. So
- 3:25Speaker 1: Megan myself sweated it out and we're fine. Look at
- 3:29Speaker 1: did I make it?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yes, yes, So we do one thing that is a
- 3:33Speaker 1: little bit difference. Thin was the last time recorded Avery Dyeder
- 3:35Speaker 1: hair Aila. She's not on camera, So I want you
- 3:38Speaker 1: to describe to all of the people what her hair
- 3:41Speaker 1: looks like. And it is be as descriptive. I want
- 3:44Speaker 1: you to close your eyes. Well, I describe it as
- 3:47Speaker 1: if somebody because they can't see you, obviously, and they
- 3:50Speaker 1: can't see her, So describe it how her hair looks,
- 3:53Speaker 1: not the messiness or whatever, but just how they're laughing.
- 3:57Speaker 1: There's some gigglin. That's Redbox Ricky. I don't know if
- 3:59Speaker 1: you heard it. He really wants to be a part
- 4:00Speaker 1: of the podcast and that's okay. We love our cat.
- 4:04Speaker 1: He's scratching, he's singing, so that's cool.
- 4:07Speaker 3: He's a barn cat.
- 4:08Speaker 1: He's not a barncad. He's a house cat.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Now he was a barn cat.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He was a barncare for like a week, all right.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Describe Avery's newly dyed hair to anybody that is not listening,
- 4:16Speaker 1: which is everybody.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So you don't know this, but her hair looks just
- 4:20Speaker 3: she dyed her hair based on what she her hair
- 4:23Speaker 3: looks like. Actually she gets out of the shower because
- 4:26Speaker 3: he loves that.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what wanted me to die of my hair
- 4:30Speaker 2: because when I get out of the shower, my hair
- 4:33Speaker 2: is stuck brown, and that's what I want.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's like very very dark, and it's nothing like her
- 4:39Speaker 3: last year. Her last hair was like blonde with some
- 4:43Speaker 3: light brown streaks.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And it is that pretty good description.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I I honestly think that it matches your face more
- 4:52Speaker 3: than blonde.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So if do you have light brown hair, you'll
- 4:58Speaker 2: know and you get in the hour and you get
- 5:02Speaker 2: out and you look at yourself in the mirror.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And say, oh I look good and dark.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Your hair is dark brown. That's what my hair looks like,
- 5:08Speaker 2: but not.
- 5:08Speaker 1: What It probably makes sense to a lot of people,
- 5:12Speaker 1: probably not as many dads, but it looks good. I
- 5:15Speaker 1: sometimes I look out of the corner of my eye,
- 5:17Speaker 1: or if we're out there working on our softball swing,
- 5:19Speaker 1: I kind of look over and do a double take, like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: who is this kid? Not to mention, you've grown taller
- 5:24Speaker 1: since the summer started.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that brown met just her face more
- 5:28Speaker 3: than blonde.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Okay, I don't hate it. It's good. It's good, all right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: So worse it's just did you hear it's the ice machine?
- 5:38Speaker 3: That's not the ice.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I heard the ice machine, don't I also heard the
- 5:42Speaker 2: ice machine?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Did you just honey her? Yeah, that's the ice machine. Honey?
- 5:48Speaker 1: All right? So where do we start. Do we do
- 5:49Speaker 1: a recap of all of our weekends? Or do we
- 5:52Speaker 1: let Avery go first with a recap of the weekend?
- 5:54Speaker 1: All right, brown hair. First, there's a little thing called
- 5:58Speaker 1: Seaway Festival that that Avery did tell us tell us
- 6:02Speaker 1: about it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So Friday night I went to the fireworks and the
- 6:08Speaker 2: mosquitoes were so bad.
- 6:10Speaker 1: How bad were they?
- 6:12Speaker 2: Well, I have a mosquito bite right here, yep, I
- 6:16Speaker 2: have two on my pink to side of my pinky.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I have one two on.
- 6:21Speaker 1: My right leg, and prettybody that didn't see that she
- 6:23Speaker 1: had to look down and see which one was l
- 6:27Speaker 1: for right, not that she doesn't right with her right,
- 6:29Speaker 1: throw with her right anyways.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Okay, I don't have to do it.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I just go And there's two on both my ankles.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Sorry, that's okay, that's pretty rough.
- 6:39Speaker 2: And there was one on my lip.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So breaking news, Avery now kisses mosquitoes. That's that should
- 6:45Speaker 1: be your new among Us name, kissing mosquitoes seven seven seven.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I can't. I can't change my You're among Us name.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You can't change my among us name or.
- 6:57Speaker 2: My among us names like in general, you can't. And
- 7:00Speaker 2: so my among us name is mixed in what why?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Because it gives you random names.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I'm met Blue and I have a unicorn on my head.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And her name is Rachel.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Rachel.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I tell.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Reach yoh, I'll reach with my love.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Okay, all right. So that's Friday. You went hissed a mosquito,
- 7:27Speaker 1: bitten by more mosquitoes, and saw some fireworks one through ten?
- 7:31Speaker 1: How are the fireworks?
- 7:32Speaker 2: Ho?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Would you rate them? Five?
- 7:34Speaker 2: Wow?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Even five? Not that good?
- 7:36Speaker 2: If sackets fireworks are so much better, so much.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Much bad they are? Are they better than the Syracuse
- 7:46Speaker 1: Mets fireworks?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Sockets are well?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Seaway festival?
- 7:51Speaker 2: No way?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Wow.
- 7:53Speaker 2: The only good part about it was the finale, and
- 7:57Speaker 2: those are usually.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Really those are usually pretty good. I heard the ice
- 8:02Speaker 1: machine again. If we could, we could just probably stop
- 8:05Speaker 1: calling out every time we hear a nice machine. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: don't think, I mean, feel free to comment anybody who's
- 8:11Speaker 1: listening to this if if you care about the ice machine.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I don't think it's a nice machine. I think it's
- 8:16Speaker 3: a bat.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Well you're that crazy?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Okay, so fireworks? Anything else? Did you get any snacks,
- 8:24Speaker 1: any drinks, any glow sticks? Do you have anything else?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Or just bitten by mosquitoes mid fireworks.
- 8:31Speaker 2: And then buy mosquitoes and getting beat up by my
- 8:34Speaker 2: little sister.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Oh that sounds fun. Yeah that's about it? Yeah all right,
- 8:39Speaker 1: what else? What else we got?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Then?
- 8:41Speaker 1: Friday's over? Onto s A t U K d A
- 8:45Speaker 1: y huh yes that's Saturday.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Anyways, I had to wake up.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Early early, define really early eight o'clock. Wow, she don't
- 8:58Speaker 1: wake up super early.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And I had to get ready and like take a shower,
- 9:03Speaker 2: and stuff, and then I had to be at the
- 9:09Speaker 2: studio for ten o'clock. We're the parade.
- 9:13Speaker 1: What's studio? You have a studio that I don't know
- 9:15Speaker 1: about and we're in the kitchen.
- 9:16Speaker 2: My dance studio, okay.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And then what they got there super early at.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Ten am and we had to get all just up
- 9:26Speaker 2: because the theme of the parade this year was eighties.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, how old do you think
- 9:31Speaker 1: the eighties is? Like? Is it super super old? They're
- 9:34Speaker 1: just like, eh, it's not that old in the grand
- 9:36Speaker 1: scheme of things they.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Scale right now, they're like.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Mid sixties people that were born in the eighties or
- 9:44Speaker 1: mid sixties.
- 9:45Speaker 2: No, No, they're no, they're actually in like they're late forties.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I think because Nimo graduated in the eighties and she's
- 9:57Speaker 2: in her mid sixties.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Do you know how how old somebody do you think?
- 10:01Speaker 1: Somebody born in the eighties is super old?
- 10:04Speaker 3: Nae, not really, not really, that's great about Yeah.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I was also born in the eighties.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. Oh, now, all of a sudden, I
- 10:12Speaker 2: know it's like eighty.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Of course I'm younger than your mind, your mom as well, well.
- 10:16Speaker 3: They would be younger than my mom if they were.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Born in What she's saying is they graduated school in
- 10:22Speaker 1: the eighties, but the theme wasn't people that graduated in
- 10:26Speaker 1: the eighties. The theme was the eighties.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but there was a float with Nima's graduating class
- 10:31Speaker 2: in the parade.
- 10:32Speaker 1: MM. I don't know. It wasn't at the parade, but yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I get what you're saying. So people that would have
- 10:39Speaker 1: graduated in nineteen eighty five, it would have been their
- 10:42Speaker 1: forty year class reunion. So just throwing that out there,
- 10:46Speaker 1: that's Nima told me. Nima graduated in nineteen eighty so
- 10:51Speaker 1: it would have been forty five years out of school.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So she has been out of high school for forty
- 10:57Speaker 1: five years.
- 10:58Speaker 3: That makes her sound old.
- 11:00Speaker 1: She is pretty old.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah, she's sixty mid sixty mid. Well, I didn't want
- 11:06Speaker 2: to expose her age.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Bless you to me. Okay, highlights of the parade.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It's super hot.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That's a highlight. Highlight means good things, So super hot. Well,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I saw you strutting down the thing. Did you have
- 11:24Speaker 1: to hold the banner at some point?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, I held it at like the end.
- 11:29Speaker 1: People are getting tired, Yeah, lot, anybody throw up?
- 11:32Speaker 2: No, but someone from one of the bands passed out. Again,
- 11:37Speaker 2: that's not good, all right, it was the same girl.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Dang, maybe she gives up bands that's hot. It was
- 11:42Speaker 1: hot and those uniforms was hot. Yeah, that's tough.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Does she pass out to heat?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Heat and hydrat And someone from my school threw up
- 11:51Speaker 2: in the judging section.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Dang did they get extra points for that?
- 11:55Speaker 2: They ended up winning.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That's the key, ladies and gentlemen in winning marching band
- 11:59Speaker 1: coming from three people that have ever been a marching band,
- 12:01Speaker 1: just throw up for the judges, throwing it back to
- 12:04Speaker 1: the eighties when they were all throwing up in the eighties. Interesting.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So congrats to your schools. Team went in the big
- 12:11Speaker 1: Seaway festival. So when you're in the parade, it's a
- 12:14Speaker 1: much different dynamic. You don't really get to see the parade.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yeah I got to see to girl pass out.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yeah that's oh that's no, not fun at all. So
- 12:22Speaker 1: you don't get candy, you don't get to see all
- 12:24Speaker 1: the cool floats. There was the DeLorean. Does anybody know
- 12:26Speaker 1: what the DeLorean is? I think that's right if I
- 12:29Speaker 1: said it wrong, but either way, it's the car from
- 12:31Speaker 1: Back to the Future. Have you ever heard the movie
- 12:32Speaker 1: Back to the Future with Marty McFly.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I've heard of it, but I've never watched it.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. All right, some night we're gonna have
- 12:37Speaker 1: a back to the Future night. We're gonna have know
- 12:39Speaker 1: what we'll do. We should have our own themed eighties
- 12:42Speaker 1: night or we listened to eighties music. We listened to
- 12:45Speaker 1: eighties Yeah, eighties movies. But we'll have to do it early.
- 12:49Speaker 1: If Nima's coming over because she's pretty old. You'll have
- 12:50Speaker 1: to get to bed right.
- 12:54Speaker 3: All right, we'll dress in disco costumes.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Oh, parade wise one through ten? What are you gonna
- 12:59Speaker 1: rate the Seaway Festival parade?
- 13:01Speaker 2: And eight? I have lot of fun?
- 13:03Speaker 1: Okay? Eight for the parade, five for the fireworks. That
- 13:06Speaker 1: puts us right about seven six and a half fish
- 13:09Speaker 1: something like that, six point seven five for the Seaway Festival.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Pray twenty twenty five back to the eighties. That's my
- 13:15Speaker 1: radio voice, would you think?
- 13:18Speaker 2: And all right?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Anything else from the Seaway Festival or is that our wrap?
- 13:24Speaker 3: Ummmm?
- 13:26Speaker 2: That's it?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Okay, that's best prayed candy? Moving on? I love what
- 13:31Speaker 1: did what did we do? This weekend? And just so
- 13:34Speaker 1: everybody knows, Ilak could have been in the parade walking
- 13:37Speaker 1: in the same dance She's in the same dance studio
- 13:40Speaker 1: as Avery. But we had to go where.
- 13:44Speaker 3: We had to go to a soft pump uh tournament?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, where was it? Do you remember? No, you don't know.
- 13:53Speaker 2: No, I don't know.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So we were in a vehicle for over two hours.
- 13:57Speaker 1: We were there for two nights, three days, and you
- 13:59Speaker 1: have no idea where we were interesting.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Never told me.
- 14:04Speaker 1: We discussed it several times because as soon as there
- 14:08Speaker 1: it is, she remembered, did you lip it to her?
- 14:11Speaker 3: No? No, I was just thinking I'm making of food.
- 14:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 14:18Speaker 3: No contest stand And it's for like one of the
- 14:22Speaker 3: beer things, for the thing that pulls down. Yeah, release it.
- 14:27Speaker 3: It had an S on it, And I'm like, Syracuse.
- 14:31Speaker 1: That's an interesting way to think of a town because
- 14:34Speaker 1: the beer thing, which is a tap, like a maple
- 14:38Speaker 1: tap on it.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Okay, I zoned out when you said Syracuse just thinking
- 14:43Speaker 2: of the Mets, because you're thinking of the cute boys.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I saw a thing today that was a fake trade
- 14:51Speaker 1: proposal that was going to send two pirates to the Mets.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The Mets, and one of them was Drew Gilbert to
- 14:57Speaker 1: the Pirates. Imagine if Drew Gilbert was a pirate, would
- 15:00Speaker 1: you be a Pirates fan?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Interesting, Oh you heard it here first, ladies and gentlemen,
- 15:06Speaker 1: Avery's a Pirates fan.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Did you watch my TikTok?
- 15:11Speaker 3: No?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Do I need to?
- 15:14Speaker 2: No, it's just that bhilto that you did that one
- 15:17Speaker 2: time where it lands on all your favorite teams from
- 15:20Speaker 2: over sport.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Are you talking about that one from like two years ago?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Did I watch it?
- 15:24Speaker 2: It was not two years ago, it was last year,
- 15:27Speaker 2: last year.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Okay, Well no, I didn't watch them then, and now
- 15:30Speaker 1: if I try to watch them, it's just you doing
- 15:32Speaker 1: weird dances instead of know what you need to do.
- 15:34Speaker 1: If you want to be a TikToker, you need to
- 15:37Speaker 1: start doing more poutine reviews and do them on there
- 15:41Speaker 1: and I'll be at the camera guy and everywhere you
- 15:42Speaker 1: go and get poutine. You do a shot of the
- 15:45Speaker 1: building and say, hey, today we're here from the Bay
- 15:47Speaker 1: side grill and I'm gonna try some poutine, and then
- 15:51Speaker 1: I hits you with some intro music quick one. You'll go, okay,
- 15:57Speaker 1: now that that was a quick one. Okay, I like it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That was good. We can use it. We'll clip it
- 16:03Speaker 1: and then you get into it. Then you like scan
- 16:06Speaker 1: it and be like, all right, initial thoughts, the poutine
- 16:10Speaker 1: has real French fries, brown gravy, cheese curd. This is
- 16:14Speaker 1: probably begin and then you get into there. Then you
- 16:16Speaker 1: get the shot where the gravy and the cheese is
- 16:18Speaker 1: falling down your face, all right, and then you just
- 16:21Speaker 1: come in and you enjoy it. Then you talk about
- 16:24Speaker 1: it and then you rate it. Boom Avery poutine review.
- 16:27Speaker 2: You know that would be super weird because nobody watches
- 16:30Speaker 2: my tick box except my friends, and.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I think your friends are really going to enjoy that. So, friends,
- 16:35Speaker 1: if you're listening to this podcast, do you want to
- 16:38Speaker 1: hear in Syracuse? What did we do with the cheese sticks?
- 16:40Speaker 1: The cheese pole?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and I got it across the table.
- 16:44Speaker 1: We got cheese poles on mozzarella sticks that were so
- 16:47Speaker 1: long that we handed it to the people on the
- 16:48Speaker 1: other side of the table to continue said cheese poles.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And she was doing half mott stick cheese poles like
- 16:54Speaker 1: this every pretty long. Where were the where did we
- 16:58Speaker 1: go to eat that night? Yeah?
- 17:01Speaker 2: Buffalo World when I got Buffalo wild Wing. Come on
- 17:05Speaker 2: through all six it didn't even pull they were.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It was different, obviously. The one you went to was
- 17:10Speaker 1: water Tong went to East Syracuse and Sissy and myself
- 17:13Speaker 1: said we're doing bottleless apps. And Eila jumped into bottomless
- 17:16Speaker 1: apps after she got over a little bit of some
- 17:19Speaker 1: not hungry issues because she ate a lot of food
- 17:21Speaker 1: at the ballpark. And Meg ended up getting chicken wings.
- 17:25Speaker 1: She got the lemon pepper, the salt and vinegar dry rubs,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and then a honey something pretty good chicken feathers. They're
- 17:31Speaker 1: pretty good chicken feathers. Oh you guys, don't call them
- 17:35Speaker 1: chicken feathers, all right, they were pretty good chicken wings.
- 17:38Speaker 1: And we made it through four rounds of bottomless apps.
- 17:43Speaker 1: We went cheese and caeso and fried pickles to start.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Then we went mott sticks, fried pickles, chips and caeso,
- 17:49Speaker 1: mott sticks, mott sticks.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Fried pickles, and I ate a whole tray.
- 17:53Speaker 1: She ate all but one mott stick on the last
- 17:56Speaker 1: one because we were all stuffed. And then we obviously
- 18:00Speaker 1: I think we ate twenty seven pickles at this point,
- 18:03Speaker 1: But how many if you were there, how many more
- 18:06Speaker 1: rounds do you think that in the bottomless apps. Do
- 18:08Speaker 1: you think we would have been one more? Two more,
- 18:10Speaker 1: two more? Do you think we could have hit six?
- 18:12Speaker 1: All right, next time we go to some be dubs,
- 18:14Speaker 1: we're gonna go for six rounds.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I almost say two rounds myself.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that was crazy, Avery, You needed to chill. You're
- 18:23Speaker 3: all like chill, Avery, chill.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's a great deal. So that was pretty good. But
- 18:28Speaker 1: let's talk that was the good. Let's talk about the bad.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Where did we have dinner that was not so good?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Do you remember? It was right near our hotel? It
- 18:38Speaker 1: was late night. So this is what we did. So Friday,
- 18:40Speaker 1: obviously we went to Syracuse for Sissy's softball tournament on
- 18:45Speaker 1: the same organization, the North Country Blizzards at Avery placed
- 18:48Speaker 1: for Sissy is playing on the sixteen team. Avery's playing
- 18:51Speaker 1: on the twelve you team. And we're actually at the
- 18:53Speaker 1: time that this is released, we are at Hershey Pull
- 18:58Speaker 1: next week we're going to give a full Hershey Park
- 19:01Speaker 1: review and softball experience. But so we're down there for
- 19:04Speaker 1: the softball Sissy. That was the most That was one
- 19:07Speaker 1: of the greatest purps. I stay out of my fridge
- 19:08Speaker 1: has ever heard? I'm a guess right now? Pause this video,
- 19:11Speaker 1: or don't even pause it and comment who let the
- 19:13Speaker 1: burp go? Is it Matt? Was it Eyler? Or was
- 19:15Speaker 1: it Avery? Let us know again this is at the
- 19:17Speaker 1: twenty one mark. Let us know who ripped a burp?
- 19:21Speaker 1: But either way we were uh we went there. So
- 19:24Speaker 1: Friday is when we I left work. We drove to Syracuse.
- 19:27Speaker 1: And how it worked was when Avery was going to
- 19:32Speaker 1: the tournament in philadelph No, it's Syracuse. She said, how
- 19:36Speaker 1: many hits do I need so we can get crumble cookies?
- 19:39Speaker 2: What did I say, one from one box, two for two?
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yes, you got a couple of hits. You ended up
- 19:46Speaker 1: ended up coming home with two boxes of Crumble cookie
- 19:48Speaker 1: We already talked about a couple hundred dollars anyways, So
- 19:51Speaker 1: then Sissy says, how many hits for me to get
- 19:55Speaker 1: an animal at Build a Bear? And what did I say?
- 19:58Speaker 2: Do you remember I Love care?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Two hits? And I said, you know what, by the
- 20:03Speaker 1: time pool play gets done, it's going to be lay
- 20:06Speaker 1: and then Sunday it's going to be potentially lay in
- 20:09Speaker 1: the mall. I said, let's go right there. So we
- 20:10Speaker 1: drove right to Destiny Mall in Syracuse, didn't we parked,
- 20:15Speaker 1: walked around the mall like a bunch of knuckleheads trying
- 20:16Speaker 1: to find bild A Bear. Ifenbody wants to know what
- 20:18Speaker 1: is on the second floor way over near where we
- 20:21Speaker 1: weren't for a very long time. But either way, we
- 20:23Speaker 1: found bilde Bear had fantastic service, didn't we. All the
- 20:27Speaker 1: employees were amazing. I was having a conversation trying to
- 20:29Speaker 1: find the best place to eat in Syracuse. So they're
- 20:31Speaker 1: all right making recommendations, and I told them, I said, listen,
- 20:35Speaker 1: if Sissy doesn't get two hits, we got to bring
- 20:39Speaker 1: this monkey back. She got the monkey, and I said,
- 20:41Speaker 1: not only that, but they all have to go back.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So the entire time they're pumping her up, like, come on,
- 20:46Speaker 1: you got to you got this. We don't want to
- 20:48Speaker 1: see in the monkey's name's Bonzo. We don't want to
- 20:50Speaker 1: see Bonzo back got the I mean the entire we
- 20:54Speaker 1: don't That's what it was. We don't want to see
- 20:55Speaker 1: Bonzo homeless. And they were absolutely amazing. So we got
- 20:59Speaker 1: out out there. First there was a little bit of struggle,
- 21:02Speaker 1: not an official hit, but one maybe two rbies and
- 21:05Speaker 1: the and the first one made some great catches, and
- 21:08Speaker 1: I said, all right, you know, technically the tournament's not over.
- 21:11Speaker 1: She comes through with a couple of hits, starts, a
- 21:12Speaker 1: big rally, a bunch of great catches, a couple more
- 21:15Speaker 1: RB eyes. Needless to say, is there a homeless monkey?
- 21:19Speaker 3: No?
- 21:20Speaker 1: No, Bonzo came home with a monkey. What did you get, Hyler?
- 21:23Speaker 3: I got a little kitty, got.
- 21:25Speaker 1: A little kitty. And Meg went with a classic Teddy bear.
- 21:28Speaker 3: My name is Candy.
- 21:30Speaker 1: She went Candy c a and d Ee Candy what was?
- 21:34Speaker 1: And Meg got pipe? What was it? Being able to pee?
- 21:38Speaker 1: I don't remember Pippy Pippy Pippy the pink bear. And
- 21:42Speaker 1: I liked you guys. You guys were filling it up.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And then what I didn't like is they handed you
- 21:47Speaker 1: the bear back and you hugged.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It and it's perfect.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Sissy was like, it's a little too much. They took somehow,
- 21:52Speaker 1: squeeze it again. Yeah, I think this is good. I
- 21:55Speaker 1: like that. I feel like it's got to be customizable.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm not not a Teddy Bear guy, but I feel
- 21:58Speaker 1: like he really got a do that. So then we
- 22:02Speaker 1: went to build a bears and then it was a
- 22:03Speaker 1: little bit later, so then we decided, you know what,
- 22:06Speaker 1: we need some food. Right near our hotel was a
- 22:09Speaker 1: Ruby Tuesday oherience and yes you kind in a minute,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and so we were like, hey, it's right next to
- 22:16Speaker 1: our hotel. We could walk to it. Ruby Tuesday fast Food.
- 22:19Speaker 1: You read it one?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so, I mean quick.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Usually I would have to imagine, wasn't It was like
- 22:25Speaker 1: seven thirty ish, and I said, all right, let's just
- 22:27Speaker 1: go in there. We'll eat there, we'll get back, we'll swim,
- 22:29Speaker 1: we'll go there. So we walk into Ruby Tuesday. How
- 22:32Speaker 1: did it start off?
- 22:33Speaker 3: It started out? We started off fine.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Did it? Because we stood there for quite a while
- 22:39Speaker 1: and then yeah, there's like a booth and it doesn't
- 22:41Speaker 1: say please seat yourself, but it also doesn't say please wait.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Right as soon as that waitress walked by with those
- 22:46Speaker 3: two burgers, were like, this food is going to be discussed.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Didn't look great and they didn't say anything to us,
- 22:52Speaker 1: did they?
- 22:52Speaker 3: They just let us say talk And now we were
- 22:54Speaker 3: there for another twenty minutes. Then we finally got seated
- 22:58Speaker 3: by the manager.
- 22:59Speaker 1: He came out.
- 23:01Speaker 3: We had this teenage girl that's like rolling her eyes
- 23:05Speaker 3: at us, and we're like, what did we do? And
- 23:08Speaker 3: she's like, can I get your order.
- 23:10Speaker 1: No, no, that was the other waitress that was rolling
- 23:12Speaker 1: her eyes, and our waitress. That wasn't our waitress. She
- 23:15Speaker 1: was very very nice.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I'm talking about the other one.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna step intil the story.
- 23:22Speaker 1: So then we sit down and the boosts were not comfy,
- 23:25Speaker 1: were they.
- 23:26Speaker 3: No, there's a spring in your butt.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Sissy's going like there there, spring's coming up. It was
- 23:31Speaker 1: so uncomfortable. We ordered drinks first, right, she did ask
- 23:34Speaker 1: for our drinks and I got a water. Meg got
- 23:37Speaker 1: a water, Sissy got a soda. And what you get?
- 23:40Speaker 3: I got a chocolate milk, but it was filled up
- 23:43Speaker 3: to like halfway.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Half chocolate milk. Did you get a straw? No, no straws.
- 23:48Speaker 1: So she comes over and we're right next to our hotel,
- 23:51Speaker 1: able to walk back, and I was like, you know,
- 23:53Speaker 1: what's been a long day. I'll take I'll take a beer.
- 23:55Speaker 1: So I order what do you have on tap? Yep, okay,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I'll take that. Meg also orders a beer, and we
- 24:01Speaker 1: wait and we wait, and we wait and we wait
- 24:07Speaker 1: and we wait.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Like forty four minutes. We finally get our.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Drinks and no, you already had.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Your drinks, I mean, mom and you.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Okay, make this clear. She did not get a beer.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I did not get a beard. I met beer, got
- 24:27Speaker 3: a beer and hers is so flat that we even
- 24:29Speaker 3: try to put salt in it, and it's just you know,
- 24:32Speaker 3: it sizzled for a second and just went right there.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It looked like if somebody miss poored a pepsi and
- 24:38Speaker 1: it was a diet pepsi. It was disgusting. We tried it,
- 24:41Speaker 1: and finally, another twenty minutes she came back. I still
- 24:44Speaker 1: didn't get one. But then she came back. She's like, oh,
- 24:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, the one you wanted were out. So I
- 24:49Speaker 1: was like, I'll just take a bottle of you know,
- 24:51Speaker 1: Miller light. Okay, waited, waited, wait if Finally she comes
- 24:54Speaker 1: back over and I was like, oh, hey, this one's
- 24:57Speaker 1: super super flat. We can't drink it. Do you want
- 25:00Speaker 1: me to change the keg? Do you want me to
- 25:01Speaker 1: do She'll just take a bottle. She did already take
- 25:04Speaker 1: our order at that point, so we were just kind
- 25:06Speaker 1: of in limbo, waiting, in waiting, in waiting.
- 25:10Speaker 3: After like two hours, it was.
- 25:12Speaker 1: About two hours, we finally got our food. Almost three
- 25:16Speaker 1: of us got our food did you get your food?
- 25:18Speaker 3: No, it's all undercooked.
- 25:20Speaker 1: What did you get?
- 25:21Speaker 3: I thought fries the easiest thing to yet ed. They're like, oh,
- 25:26Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. We forgot about the fries, and I'm like,
- 25:30Speaker 3: that was the easiest thing.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So they dropped them three minutes later, came out undercooked, disgusting.
- 25:36Speaker 1: The food wasn't bad, I mean, yours wasn't great. Ours
- 25:39Speaker 1: food wasn't terrible, but again, we didn't have silverware, we
- 25:43Speaker 1: didn't have napkins, we didn't have anything. They finally brought
- 25:45Speaker 1: them over. And then while this whole thing is going on,
- 25:48Speaker 1: every table in that place is miserable. Something's wrong, somebody's upset.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Then these two kids that were probably what Avery's age, Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 1: they were there. It appeared that they were staying at
- 25:58Speaker 1: a close hotel as well, came over. Parents gave him
- 26:01Speaker 1: some money and just said, you know how, go eat
- 26:02Speaker 1: or whatever. They were there just as long, if not
- 26:04Speaker 1: longer than us. They were the table after us. They
- 26:07Speaker 1: still had no food that we saw. So the guy
- 26:10Speaker 1: was like, finally the kid was like, excuse me, Like,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I'm just checking out my food. You haven't got it yet.
- 26:15Speaker 1: They were like, hey, I'm sorry about that guys like
- 26:18Speaker 1: when they bring out your food, put in a dessert,
- 26:19Speaker 1: the dessert's free on us. Not once did we get
- 26:22Speaker 1: asked if we wanted dessert and ours was just as long,
- 26:25Speaker 1: if not longer.
- 26:26Speaker 3: No, theirs was like an hour and ours is like
- 26:29Speaker 3: two hours, and we don't get our food.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And I hinted at it a couple of times and
- 26:33Speaker 1: all I got was I'm sorry. So did I maybe
- 26:38Speaker 1: leave a pretty wild, pretty accurate Google review? Yes, sure, dude,
- 26:45Speaker 1: and I left left the Google review. It is what
- 26:47Speaker 1: it is. And they finally got back to me. Corporate said,
- 26:50Speaker 1: please send me an email with all the details. We'd
- 26:52Speaker 1: like to make it right for you. So we'll see,
- 26:54Speaker 1: we'll see if they were still pending. We're still waiting.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'll update everybody next week on that episode. But then
- 27:00Speaker 1: we get to the softball super Hot. Somebody was a
- 27:02Speaker 1: little cranky addicted to the phone on the first day. Yeah, first, Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 1: almost didn't get the invY to Pennsylvania. Turned her around
- 27:08Speaker 1: on the second day. Sis. He had a great tournament.
- 27:10Speaker 1: The team did very well, super proud of everybody that
- 27:13Speaker 1: was involved. And then we headed home, got home super late.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Avery was waiting for us, recorded a hot podcast, and
- 27:19Speaker 1: here we are the next day.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I'm going to mention this because it was amazing. This
- 27:24Speaker 3: ball went up like seven, like probably ten feet in
- 27:28Speaker 3: the air sincey caught it.
- 27:30Speaker 1: She caught it.
- 27:31Speaker 3: It was wild and everybody's like running out of the
- 27:34Speaker 3: dugout and like.
- 27:37Speaker 1: There was two outspaces loaded. She it was when she
- 27:41Speaker 1: says ten foot, it was at least thirty to forty
- 27:43Speaker 1: feet in the air in the sun. Was one of
- 27:46Speaker 1: the biggest plays. She made the catch like she should
- 27:49Speaker 1: like she did, super confident, super proud. We couldn't be
- 27:52Speaker 1: more proud of as Sissy and Blizzards looking forward to it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: She just snagged it right out of the air. Bone
- 27:59Speaker 1: bang bang. Yeah. So then we're again when this is out,
- 28:03Speaker 1: we are at Hershey Park and we'll give you the review.
- 28:06Speaker 1: We're gonna tell you what it smells like, where the
- 28:08Speaker 1: our favorite rides are and all of that good stuff.
- 28:12Speaker 1: So I don't know, we're kind of out of time,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and I don't have the hookup to show you guys
- 28:16Speaker 1: to do the fridge Detective. I was gonna try to
- 28:18Speaker 1: put it on this TV here so you could do that.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Maybe the next time we do this it's gonna be
- 28:22Speaker 1: an easier set up the next time, hopefully that we
- 28:25Speaker 1: do this. So that's all we got. I don't know
- 28:26Speaker 1: you guys got anything else?
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Well one quick thing to say, hold.
- 28:32Speaker 1: On before you say that. I got one another thing. Okay,
- 28:34Speaker 1: we're gonna have fun at this softball. You're gonna be
- 28:36Speaker 1: good and stay out of my hotel fridge. I knew
- 28:39Speaker 1: you're gonna say that. I'll beat you to it. That's
- 28:41Speaker 1: all I got got. That's all we gotything else. All right,
- 28:48Speaker 1: Thank you Aila, Thank you Avery. And we'll see everybody
