- 0:21Speaker 3: Good morning everybody. It is Handle and the Morning crew.
- 0:28Speaker 4: So far you've heard of and heard from This is
- 0:33Speaker 4: Taco Team date December sixteenth.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Neil is not with us at.
- 0:37Speaker 4: All this week, and I believe I am gone all
- 0:40Speaker 4: of next week, so you're not going to have either
- 0:43Speaker 4: Neil or Me within.
- 0:45Speaker 3: The same show for a couple of weeks.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Let me say a quick hello Amy with some kind
- 0:51Speaker 4: of Disney apparel on what a shocker.
- 0:55Speaker 5: It is shocking, but it's Christmas time and I have
- 0:58Speaker 5: Disney Spirit jerseys and I have to wear before the
- 1:00Speaker 5: twenty fifth, So I understand.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I heard you say that was it Saturday? The car
- 1:06Speaker 4: the park was more crowded than you've ever seen it. Yes,
- 1:09Speaker 4: that's the delight when that happens, isn't it.
- 1:11Speaker 6: You would have been very happy there.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Listen.
- 1:14Speaker 4: I'm happy there now, even anticipating how long I would
- 1:18Speaker 4: be waiting in line, and I'm not even there waiting
- 1:21Speaker 4: in line. But then I'm spoiled. I've told you this
- 1:24Speaker 4: many many times. I have not been to Disneyland in
- 1:26Speaker 4: a very very long time, and when I was a
- 1:29Speaker 4: lot younger. February March, Midweek, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, No waits
- 1:34Speaker 4: at all, none for rides. You get right on. So
- 1:39Speaker 4: you can't do that anymore.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Well, that's not entirely true.
- 1:42Speaker 4: There's ways, okay, all right, And you're going to write
- 1:47Speaker 4: a book about it, and know there are ways of
- 1:48Speaker 4: doing it.
- 1:48Speaker 6: That's lots of people have already written books about it.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sure, and I've written I've read a couple
- 1:53Speaker 4: of books about Disney and Disneyland and Walt Disney. It's
- 1:56Speaker 4: a fascinating story. But even if you do get on rides,
- 2:00Speaker 4: it's still very very crowded.
- 2:03Speaker 6: And lots and lots of fun and very magical.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Yes, not arguing that, okay, never mind the ongoing debate
- 2:10Speaker 4: on the show, of which the Disney fan and the Curmudgeons,
- 2:15Speaker 4: so it all works out, Cono, good morning, Good morning
- 2:18Speaker 4: Bill and will Cole Schreiber, Good morning.
- 2:21Speaker 3: To you, sir. Good morning Bill handle, Oh you're so happy.
- 2:25Speaker 4: And Anne, who loves living here on the show, especially
- 2:30Speaker 4: the nights when she works at so far it works
- 2:34Speaker 4: till two o'clock the morning, goes home and literally changes
- 2:37Speaker 4: clothes and comes here.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Did you do that last night? Oh okay, yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 3: The other night she did.
- 2:45Speaker 4: And Neil, as I said, is not here, and Cono
- 2:48Speaker 4: is good morning, Cono, good morning.
- 2:50Speaker 6: I want to say I belated Happy birthday to my
- 2:52Speaker 6: dad too.
- 2:52Speaker 3: This is yesterday, so it's so moving. Thank you.
- 2:59Speaker 4: You want to have you No, okay, now I've listening
- 3:06Speaker 4: to you this story with Joel Largeguard and about shopping
- 3:11Speaker 4: for mattresses and how you enjoy shopping for mattresses at
- 3:15Speaker 4: Costco for example. And I'll tell you the same thing.
- 3:19Speaker 4: And you say you can't try them. Let's talk about
- 3:20Speaker 4: the stores. You can try them, these showrooms. And I
- 3:25Speaker 4: used to do commercials for sleep number I have a
- 3:27Speaker 4: whole bunch of them Home Great Bed and they have
- 3:31Speaker 4: stores stand alone stores as to sit and sleep, and
- 3:34Speaker 4: a bunch of other locations and various brands, and they say,
- 3:38Speaker 4: why don't you come and try out the bed. So
- 3:40Speaker 4: here's how you try out the bed. Right, you have
- 3:42Speaker 4: a mattress and you have that sort of cover sheet
- 3:47Speaker 4: at the bottom so your shoes don't scuff up or
- 3:50Speaker 4: dirty the bottom of the mattress and there's no betting
- 3:54Speaker 4: on it at all, and the lights are on and
- 3:56Speaker 4: people are moving all over the place and you have
- 3:59Speaker 4: your clothes on. Now, how do you try out a
- 4:01Speaker 4: mattress that way? You really want to try out a mattress?
- 4:04Speaker 4: You come at night, you bring your pajamas, you bring
- 4:07Speaker 4: your bedding, you bring whoever you sleep with, you stoop
- 4:12Speaker 4: once or twice, you sleep, and now you've tried out
- 4:15Speaker 4: the mattress. Short of that, how do you try out
- 4:19Speaker 4: a mattress with a store full of people in your clothes?
- 4:22Speaker 4: When's the last time you slept in your clothes in
- 4:25Speaker 4: a store? Well, okay, I rest my case. Just want
- 4:30Speaker 4: to ruin it for everybody if I possibly can.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Okay, I like the idea of you showing up in
- 4:36Speaker 5: your pajamas at night and then I'm going to try
- 4:38Speaker 5: the mattress out tonight.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You know, of all the people that would do it,
- 4:40Speaker 3: it probably would be you know.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I can imagine myself doing that and then asking how
- 4:45Speaker 4: many of you have a Florida ceiling windows where homeless
- 4:49Speaker 4: people can stare in while you're sleeping with.
- 4:52Speaker 3: The lights on. Hot, Okay, let's do it. Guys.
- 4:55Speaker 4: We have a lot to cover today and a lot
- 4:59Speaker 4: about Rob Reiner and his wife and their son, and
- 5:05Speaker 4: so let's start it with the news. It's time for
- 5:07Speaker 4: Handle on the News with Amy and just Me or
- 5:11Speaker 4: me just no Neil. This morning lead story. Well, not
- 5:20Speaker 4: that we didn't know this, because the name came out
- 5:22Speaker 4: pretty quickly, but the thirty two year old son of
- 5:26Speaker 4: Rob and Michelle Reiner was arrested. And it's even started
- 5:32Speaker 4: with the first news reports that were coming out that
- 5:36Speaker 4: certainly they were found in their home dead stab wounds,
- 5:41Speaker 4: family member may be connected.
- 5:44Speaker 3: And now we find that and it's no surprise.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I mean, it's just a logical progression that the son
- 5:51Speaker 4: had a history of drug use, sometimes was estranged from
- 5:55Speaker 4: his family, lived on property, and they were flying overhead
- 6:00Speaker 4: it was at night in the helicopter. Did you notice
- 6:01Speaker 4: how big their house was? And this is in Brentwood,
- 6:06Speaker 4: this is a zillion dollar house, and nobody mentioned, at
- 6:11Speaker 4: least the news people didn't mention. Not that it's relevant,
- 6:14Speaker 4: by the way, that this is a very tony home
- 6:18Speaker 4: in a very tony neighborhood, and usually they do mention that,
- 6:21Speaker 4: but that wasn't particularly important in any case, and then
- 6:25Speaker 4: the news that and I'd heard that he had actually
- 6:30Speaker 4: slit their throats. I don't know, yeah, and I t
- 6:36Speaker 4: And by the way, I believe TMZ before I believe
- 6:38Speaker 4: almost any other news outlet.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And it was.
- 6:41Speaker 4: And then yesterday it was a long list of well
- 6:47Speaker 4: of films and how iconic Rob Reiner was in several
- 6:51Speaker 4: different genres. He invented, for example, the mockumentary, and he
- 6:55Speaker 4: did Harry met Sally and a few good men. If
- 6:58Speaker 4: you look at the kinds of movies had he did
- 7:01Speaker 4: over the years, I mean, this is a not only prolific,
- 7:04Speaker 4: but a extraordinarily talented director that can go in many
- 7:07Speaker 4: different directions. And then the other part of the story
- 7:10Speaker 4: is that lovely owed to Rob Reiner by President Trump,
- 7:15Speaker 4: where he outdid himself in graciousness, even more so than
- 7:20Speaker 4: the usual Trump outburst in which he ripped into Rob
- 7:25Speaker 4: Reiner and claimed that Reiner's death was a result of
- 7:30Speaker 4: the deranged Trump syndrome chests. And then even the Republicans
- 7:35Speaker 4: went crazy on this one. A lot of Trump supporters went,
- 7:38Speaker 4: come on, that's over the top.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Okay, that was it. We're done with the news. What
- 7:45Speaker 3: do you want to do for the next.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Hour, maybe some more news.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Okay, why don't we try that?
- 7:51Speaker 6: Okay, Chuck went up for the good guys.
- 7:54Speaker 5: FBI officials say that a plan to attack several LA
- 7:58Speaker 5: area businesses on New two Years Eve has been foiled.
- 8:02Speaker 5: They call it a dangerous, detailed, and already in motion plan.
- 8:07Speaker 5: First Assistant US Attorney Bill is Saley said at a
- 8:10Speaker 5: news conference yesterday that, in his words, we disrupted this
- 8:14Speaker 5: terror plot before buildings were demolished or innocent people were killed.
- 8:19Speaker 5: They were apparently planning to attack five different locations and
- 8:23Speaker 5: explosions planned for you know, right at midnight.
- 8:27Speaker 4: And described by the US attorney as a radical faction
- 8:32Speaker 4: of the Turtle Island Liberation Front called Order of the
- 8:36Speaker 4: Black Lotus. First of all, I thought that was a
- 8:39Speaker 4: Chinese restaurant downtown. The Black Lotus clearly not. And the
- 8:45Speaker 4: Turtle Island Liberation Front, that's another fun one.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You know.
- 8:49Speaker 4: It's all ways, if it weren't so serious, and they
- 8:51Speaker 4: weren't so if they were so close to manufacturing and
- 8:54Speaker 4: putting together these bombs, this is absolutely hilarious. I mean,
- 9:00Speaker 4: I mean, this is like just crazy names like the
- 9:07Speaker 4: Order of the Boingo.
- 9:08Speaker 3: That's how that started.
- 9:10Speaker 4: By the way, it was a name after a If
- 9:12Speaker 4: I'm not mistaken, Oingo Boingo was the name of.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Laura and Hardy short just interesting names.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I thought i'd point that out, not that it makes
- 9:23Speaker 4: any difference, but then rarely what I say makes any difference.
- 9:26Speaker 3: All right, let's do another story, if you would.
- 9:28Speaker 5: They're getting kind of desperate to find this killer. The
- 9:31Speaker 5: FBIS offered a fifty thousand dollars reward for information leading
- 9:34Speaker 5: to the arrest and conviction of the person who went
- 9:37Speaker 5: into Brown University, into the engineering building and shot up
- 9:42Speaker 5: a classroom, killing two and injuring nine others. They had
- 9:47Speaker 5: initially released some video. They released more video footage yesterday,
- 9:54Speaker 5: but it and they show who they believe the suspect
- 9:57Speaker 5: to be.
- 9:57Speaker 6: But they still don't show his face, yeah, because it
- 10:00Speaker 6: was covered up. Yet he did have a face mask on.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Yeah, so they saw his eyes and that's it. So
- 10:07Speaker 4: they're still trying to track him down and they will.
- 10:08Speaker 4: They're very good attracking down these people.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:11Speaker 5: A tiny new weapon of mass destruction. President Trump has
- 10:15Speaker 5: signed an executive order classifying fentanyl as a weapon of
- 10:18Speaker 5: mass destruction in the Oval Office yesterday, as he signed
- 10:22Speaker 5: the order. He said the amount of drugs coming into
- 10:24Speaker 5: the US by sea has decreased by ninety four percent.
- 10:28Speaker 5: He said drug flows are a direct military threat to
- 10:32Speaker 5: the United States.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I means technically, I mean, are they a weapon of
- 10:36Speaker 4: mass destruction? He can't argue with his sentiment about how
- 10:40Speaker 4: dangerous fentanyl is that you can't, well.
- 10:42Speaker 6: If it kills hundreds of thousands of people.
- 10:45Speaker 3: It kills. Yeah, I'm not arguing that it doesn't.
- 10:48Speaker 4: But you know, so it was COVID and that wasn't
- 10:51Speaker 4: the mass destruction, although it can be already know when
- 10:54Speaker 4: actually purposely brought COVID into the United States, maybe some
- 10:59Speaker 4: Chinese guy out of a life that's a different story.
- 11:02Speaker 3: So you know, technically, is it a.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Weapon of mass destruction brought in by whom we don't
- 11:09Speaker 4: really know at this point, but the cars tell okay,
- 11:11Speaker 4: I mean it's sort of technically okay. You know, in
- 11:15Speaker 4: my opinion, the sentiment is right on this, and he's
- 11:18Speaker 4: using whatever powers he can to fight fentanyl, which I
- 11:21Speaker 4: don't think anybody can argue with.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Another athlete is coming out of retirement. We've heard Philip
- 11:30Speaker 5: Rivers is coming out. Other people just guess they get
- 11:34Speaker 5: out of the game and then they can't stand it,
- 11:36Speaker 5: so they got to get back. Well, Lindsey Vaughn is
- 11:38Speaker 5: returning to downhill racing with her titanium knee, and when
- 11:42Speaker 5: she first made that announcement, people were saying, what she doing.
- 11:46Speaker 5: She needs to see a psychologist, she's crazy, she's too old.
- 11:50Speaker 5: They scoffed at her return to racing at forty one,
- 11:54Speaker 5: but she dominated the opening speed weekend of the Olympic season,
- 11:58Speaker 5: won the first downhill by a huge margin, and scored
- 12:02Speaker 5: more points than any other ski or over three days
- 12:04Speaker 5: of World Cup racing. Her response was that every time
- 12:07Speaker 5: you talk bad about me, it just makes me stronger
- 12:10Speaker 5: and better and more motivated.
- 12:12Speaker 6: Go, Lindsey go.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You know what's weird about this story is I'm looking
- 12:17Speaker 4: at Austrian skater. He was the one Franz Klamber said
- 12:24Speaker 4: that she was completely gone, completely mad. You know, for
- 12:29Speaker 4: some crazy reason, I know that Franz Clomber came from Mussvald, Austria.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I just thought i'd throw that out and you can
- 12:39Speaker 4: look that up. Who the hell thinks of Mussvald, which
- 12:44Speaker 4: is a town of maybe two hundred people.
- 12:46Speaker 6: I don't know, but I like the name.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I know. That's why I think I remembered it.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Okay, moving on, well, Trump fired him, Knewsome hired him.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Two former leaders of the CDC.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Who previously accused the Trump administration of abandoning scientific standards,
- 13:05Speaker 5: will now work with Governor Newsom and the California Department
- 13:08Speaker 5: of Public Health. On Monday, Newsom announced the launch of
- 13:12Speaker 5: the Public Health Network Innovation Exchange PHNIX. They call it
- 13:20Speaker 5: Phoenix at The statewide initiative aims to modernize public health
- 13:24Speaker 5: infrastructure and maintain trust in science decision making, science driven
- 13:30Speaker 5: decision making.
- 13:31Speaker 4: God forbid that we actually use now medical science. Can
- 13:35Speaker 4: you imagine that real science, real medical science, is now
- 13:39Speaker 4: being derided, that that is fake, where pseudoscience becomes real.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I mean, you talk about a world that's gone topsy turvy.
- 13:50Speaker 4: It's just yeah. As I said, we're going to get
- 13:54Speaker 4: to the point where, and I believe this that before
- 13:57Speaker 4: the end of the administration will be a finding by
- 14:02Speaker 4: the CDC that vaccines and mod themselves are inherently dangerous
- 14:07Speaker 4: and should be banned any kind of vaccine.
- 14:12Speaker 3: And I do believe that, by the way. Okay, moving on.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Trump wants five billion from the BBC. The president has
- 14:20Speaker 5: filed a defamation lawsuit against BBC in Miami federal court.
- 14:25Speaker 5: The pseud alleges a documentary released by the BBC called
- 14:30Speaker 5: Trump a Second Chance, was produced as part of a
- 14:33Speaker 5: brazen attempt to interfere in and influence the election outcome.
- 14:38Speaker 5: To President Trump's detriment. It claims that the documentary was
- 14:44Speaker 5: edited to make it appear that during his speech outside
- 14:47Speaker 5: the White House on January sixth, twenty twenty one, Trump
- 14:50Speaker 5: had explicitly urged his supporters to attack the US capital,
- 14:54Speaker 5: and if you've seen the video, it did.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Yeah, and they agreed by the way, they apologized for it.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Just didn't believe that he was defamed. And normally a
- 15:07Speaker 4: politician who had been accused like this, especially if nothing
- 15:10Speaker 4: had come out of it, would say I'm sorry, I apologize.
- 15:14Speaker 3: It shouldn't have happened.
- 15:15Speaker 4: And then the whole thing is dropped and now we
- 15:17Speaker 4: have five billion dollars of damages.
- 15:20Speaker 6: How could he prove damages? Though, like you said, he got.
- 15:22Speaker 3: That's my point. He won the election.
- 15:25Speaker 4: What is he going to say, had I lost the
- 15:28Speaker 4: election and you're responsible for it.
- 15:30Speaker 3: That's one thing. But he won the election.
- 15:36Speaker 4: It's it's, for example, you're a mechanic and you've repaired
- 15:40Speaker 4: my car and you've done stuff more than I ever wanted,
- 15:44Speaker 4: and the car is better, and I'm suing you.
- 15:49Speaker 3: It's that's what ends up happening.
- 15:51Speaker 4: I have no idea if that analogy works or not,
- 15:53Speaker 4: but I think it's maybe a good one.
- 15:57Speaker 6: All right, I want to get your sexy.
- 15:59Speaker 5: On sixty, US health officials have expanded the approval of
- 16:04Speaker 5: a much debated drug aimed at boosting female libido. They
- 16:08Speaker 5: say the once a day pill can now be taken
- 16:10Speaker 5: by postmenopausa women up to sixty five years old. Now,
- 16:14Speaker 5: this was apparently it's called Addie. ADDIEI first approved ten
- 16:19Speaker 5: years ago and was supposed to become like a blockbuster
- 16:23Speaker 5: drug because you know, ladies might not want some love
- 16:26Speaker 5: and after menopause, and this apparently boosts their libido. But
- 16:31Speaker 5: then there were some unpleasant side effects like Disney dizzyness
- 16:34Speaker 5: and nausea, And there was also a safety warning about
- 16:38Speaker 5: the dangers of combining it with alcohol, which is problematic
- 16:41Speaker 5: because you know.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Daniel doesn't dizzeiness and nausea happen anyway, when you're having
- 16:45Speaker 4: sex with a.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Spouse depends on which spouse it is.
- 16:50Speaker 3: That's true.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And by the way, originally it was IFH It was
- 16:53Speaker 4: known as I'm finally horny is what that stood for.
- 17:02Speaker 6: Getting high? In the US.
- 17:04Speaker 5: President Trump says the White House is very strongly considering
- 17:07Speaker 5: signing an executive order to reschedule marijuana to a lowered
- 17:11Speaker 5: drug classification.
- 17:12Speaker 6: He says, because a lot of people.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Want to see it, and they're talking about reclassifying from
- 17:19Speaker 5: a Schedule one to a Schedule three drug.
- 17:22Speaker 4: And if he does it, which he says he is
- 17:26Speaker 4: leaning towards it, and I think he's going to do
- 17:28Speaker 4: this it finally he will be the first president to
- 17:32Speaker 4: finally reality is here and he's recognizing it. To classify
- 17:37Speaker 4: marijuana in the same classification as heroin, LSD meth Amphetamine's
- 17:44Speaker 4: kind of nuts, isn't it.
- 17:47Speaker 3: So you know, I think it's going to happen.
- 17:51Speaker 5: All right, take a breath, everybody. That seems to be
- 17:54Speaker 5: the message from the co chief executives of Netflix. They
- 17:58Speaker 5: send out a letter yesterday saying, you know what, we
- 18:01Speaker 5: can close the deal and it's not going to destroy
- 18:04Speaker 5: the entertainment industry. Of course, they're trying to buy Paramount
- 18:07Speaker 5: Skuidouce No, No, there's prided by Warner Brothers and Paramount
- 18:12Speaker 5: Skuydowance is also trying to get the deal. But Netflix
- 18:15Speaker 5: says that this is going to offer consumers more choice
- 18:18Speaker 5: in value and allow the creative community to reach even
- 18:22Speaker 5: more audiences with combined distribution. They said that they will
- 18:26Speaker 5: still do theatrical releases and that's like one of the
- 18:29Speaker 5: big concerns is that if Netflix takes over, movies are
- 18:32Speaker 5: going away in theaters.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Well, I mean, how can you have more choice when
- 18:37Speaker 4: you have two major content providers merging that is so
- 18:45Speaker 4: there's no competition.
- 18:47Speaker 3: It's no, that doesn't make any sense.
- 18:50Speaker 4: So you know, as far as all they care about
- 18:53Speaker 4: is talking to number one the government allowing this to
- 18:56Speaker 4: happen in the shareholders who are.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Going to be doing very well.
- 19:00Speaker 4: A point I want to make Amy is we only
- 19:04Speaker 4: have fifteen stories, which we normally have fifteen to seventeen stories,
- 19:08Speaker 4: and we are going to go through this unfortunately too quickly,
- 19:13Speaker 4: So you and I are going to have to vamp
- 19:15Speaker 4: at the end of next segment.
- 19:18Speaker 3: So I'm going to suggest we start moving slow.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Although Ann is very happy because we're going to get
- 19:26Speaker 5: through all of the stories.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but so many.
- 19:29Speaker 4: We're already on story eleven and it's six thirty seven.
- 19:34Speaker 4: So now we can talk and spend some time talking
- 19:38Speaker 4: about how short the segments are going to be relative
- 19:41Speaker 4: the number of stories, or we can go through them
- 19:44Speaker 4: and we'll vamp.
- 19:44Speaker 3: At the end of the next segment.
- 19:48Speaker 4: I haven't decided yet, and we'll discuss it, you and I,
- 19:51Speaker 4: but we'll do that during the break. See, this is
- 19:52Speaker 4: inside Baseball. I'm just sharing how we do these shows.
- 19:58Speaker 4: And I get a lot of grief and flat for
- 20:01Speaker 4: sharing all of this stuff.
- 20:02Speaker 3: But then, hey, what can I tell you? All Right? So, oh,
- 20:06Speaker 3: here's a story I'd love to talk about.
- 20:08Speaker 1: A lawyer getting disbarred is one of my favorite stories.
- 20:12Speaker 5: And it's Hunter Biden lost his license. The judge on
- 20:16Speaker 5: Monday disbarred Hunter Biden in Connecticut for violating the state's
- 20:22Speaker 5: attorney conduct rules. Apparently complaints came in because he was
- 20:28Speaker 5: convicted on federal gun and tax charges before he was
- 20:31Speaker 5: pardoned by his dad, President Joe Biden. In an agreement
- 20:35Speaker 5: with the state office that disciplines lawyers, Hunter Biden consented
- 20:39Speaker 5: to being disbarred, and he admitted to attorney misconduct, but
- 20:43Speaker 5: he did not admit to any criminal wrongdoing. He was
- 20:46Speaker 5: also disbarred in Washington, d C. Back in May.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Okay, I mean, I want to make a point about
- 20:51Speaker 4: attorneys being disbarred. Okay, Number one, it's not that easy
- 20:55Speaker 4: to get disbarred. Two, let's find let's let's look into
- 20:59Speaker 4: how stupid hunter Biden is. Forget about the criminality part
- 21:03Speaker 4: of it, just how stupid he is. He goes out
- 21:05Speaker 4: and buys a gun and on the form, it is
- 21:09Speaker 4: are you a drug user during this period of time
- 21:13Speaker 4: or have you been? Or please explain it? And the
- 21:16Speaker 4: only way you're going to be able to buy a
- 21:17Speaker 4: gun is saying I'm not a drug user.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Then he writes a book where he admits being a
- 21:23Speaker 4: drug user. What at the time he was filling out
- 21:26Speaker 4: the form that he was not a drug user, he
- 21:29Speaker 4: contradicted himself about a gun purchase.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Oops.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Okay, So he should have been disbarred number one for
- 21:37Speaker 4: just being stupid. And then the other part of this
- 21:40Speaker 4: story is his dad who said, unequivocally or unequivocally no,
- 21:45Speaker 4: I will not pardon him.
- 21:46Speaker 3: There is no chance.
- 21:47Speaker 4: I think he said this on ABC in an interview
- 21:50Speaker 4: while Biden was overseas at a at a D Day celebration,
- 21:58Speaker 4: and it was said, Nope, not going to do it.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I mean, I do remember the interview where he was
- 22:03Speaker 1: so adamant about it.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Would you pardon your son? Nope, absolutely not.
- 22:08Speaker 4: And then of course he turned around and pardoned his son,
- 22:11Speaker 4: which I would have pardoned my family member too, because
- 22:15Speaker 4: you know that the next administration was going to go
- 22:18Speaker 4: in and nail anybody associated with Joe Biden in any case,
- 22:22Speaker 4: because of the fact that he had lied about that,
- 22:27Speaker 4: and he was convicted of three felonies in the purchase
- 22:30Speaker 4: of that gun in twenty eighteen, lied on that federal form.
- 22:34Speaker 3: He was disbarred for that.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Okay, but here's my question.
- 22:37Speaker 5: If he was pardoned for anything that he did, can't
- 22:42Speaker 5: couldn't They argue and say, well, he was pardoned, so
- 22:45Speaker 5: there's no there's no nothing it disparred.
- 22:47Speaker 3: That is a very good argument. That's a very good point.
- 22:50Speaker 1: The problem is is a dispartment disbarment is a civil action.
- 22:55Speaker 3: It is not a criminal action.
- 22:57Speaker 4: And so when someone is pardoned federal, the pardon literally
- 23:01Speaker 4: goes to the criminal action and accusation or the conviction
- 23:06Speaker 4: or the court proceeding is against that person. All the
- 23:09Speaker 4: administrative stuff still exists. So the bar is not saying,
- 23:15Speaker 4: you know, he can't be criminally and that doesn't exist
- 23:17Speaker 4: anymore because he's been pardoned. But what it does, it
- 23:22Speaker 4: does say that, you know, we feel that what he
- 23:25Speaker 4: did prior to the pardon, he still did it, and
- 23:30Speaker 4: so they shook away his license. It's an administrative a
- 23:35Speaker 4: move by the state bar. So yeah, you can be
- 23:38Speaker 4: bar you can need disbard for that stuff moral and
- 23:41Speaker 4: it's a moral you can be disbarred from moral turpitude stuff.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Does he still have? Is he still allowed to practice
- 23:48Speaker 6: in other states?
- 23:49Speaker 4: Because he they say he's If he is licensed in
- 23:53Speaker 4: other states, he's allowed to practice.
- 23:55Speaker 3: However, getting a license in another state.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Is going to be very very difficult, if not impossible,
- 24:01Speaker 4: because he's been disbarred in those two states.
- 24:03Speaker 3: And one of the questions is have you been disbarred?
- 24:06Speaker 4: And just on that basis alone, even if you passed
- 24:09Speaker 4: the bar, well, you're crazy to pass the bar or
- 24:12Speaker 4: even take the bar. But yeah, he could theoretically be
- 24:16Speaker 4: licensed in another state if you had decided to apply
- 24:18Speaker 4: for it.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Okay, remember Luke and Laura, Luke Spencer and Joe Lais
- 24:27Speaker 5: last name anyway, it was Anthony Gary and Jeannie Francis
- 24:32Speaker 5: and Anthony Geary, who played Luke, has died. He passed
- 24:36Speaker 5: away Sunday in Amsterdam. He had apparently had surgery a
- 24:41Speaker 5: couple of days before. They haven't said what it was for,
- 24:43Speaker 5: but he later died from that. And of course Luke
- 24:47Speaker 5: and Laura's wedding was one of the most watched TV
- 24:51Speaker 5: events ever.
- 24:53Speaker 4: And now, I'm not a big fan of General Hospital.
- 24:56Speaker 4: I don't watch any or never have watched any of
- 24:58Speaker 4: the soaks. But is isn't this one of those relationships
- 25:02Speaker 4: that went on.
- 25:02Speaker 6: For decades, as they all do in soap operas.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yes, and there's was a very storied one, as most
- 25:11Speaker 5: soap operas do.
- 25:12Speaker 6: The storylines are pretty outrageous, yeah, and.
- 25:15Speaker 3: People just love the hell out of them.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Ye.
- 25:18Speaker 4: So you know how the name soap opera or you know,
- 25:22Speaker 4: got started? Well, originally, when television first started, the first
- 25:31Speaker 4: advertising was for kitchen products, household products, soaps, and that's
- 25:37Speaker 4: how soap opera And I don't know where the word
- 25:39Speaker 4: opera came from, but it was the soaps and at
- 25:43Speaker 4: some point I'm going to tell you off the off
- 25:46Speaker 4: air what they call the whole concept of it in
- 25:50Speaker 4: England and models who used to come to model, especially
- 25:56Speaker 4: early days of television, and it's very, very funny. And
- 25:59Speaker 4: I'm not going to share with you because I would
- 26:01Speaker 4: like to be on the air tomorrow morning.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And it is.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It's that terrible Okay, Okay, just thought i'd tell you
- 26:07Speaker 4: just to get everybody's interest piqued.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Cono just asked me, what's General Hospital.
- 26:13Speaker 5: Seriously of our lives?
- 26:18Speaker 6: Okay?
- 26:18Speaker 3: I know the days of our lives? These are the
- 26:20Speaker 3: days of our lives.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a whole bunch of you know, there's the
- 26:23Speaker 4: big ones. There's General Hospital Days of our lives. One
- 26:26Speaker 4: of my favorite one was the Young and the hung
- 26:29Speaker 4: That was a very nope.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Nope, will don't okay, all my children, Yeah that's another one.
- 26:42Speaker 6: And the beautiful. Yeah, lots of them.
- 26:44Speaker 5: And I don't know, I don't think they're even on
- 26:46Speaker 5: TV anymore. I just I think they stream Are they
- 26:49Speaker 5: still on TV?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Are they still on TV? I don't even know. I mean,
- 26:52Speaker 3: who watches TV anymore?
- 26:54Speaker 4: Uh?
- 26:55Speaker 3: You know it's all streaming.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Okay, moving on, it looks like it was ices inspired.
- 27:01Speaker 5: That horrendous shooting on Bondai Beach in Sydney, Australia was
- 27:09Speaker 5: apparently inspired by, or done by a father and son
- 27:13Speaker 5: who were motivated by Islamic state ideology. That's according to
- 27:18Speaker 5: Australia's leader. They had recently traveled to the Philippines to
- 27:23Speaker 5: an area known for Islamist insurgency. The dad was shot.
- 27:29Speaker 5: The son is apparently still in a coma. He was
- 27:33Speaker 5: he was injured. Did you see the video of the
- 27:35Speaker 5: guy who who went and wrestled the gun away from
- 27:38Speaker 5: your father. Yes, it's amazing. It's it was a football tackle,
- 27:42Speaker 5: is what it was. And he was shot. He was
- 27:44Speaker 5: I think he was shot through the hand. And he's
- 27:47Speaker 5: being being touted as a hero as he should. Absolutely,
- 27:51Speaker 5: and this was he was a fruit vendor, not a
- 27:53Speaker 5: particularly wealthy guy. Obviously, all he did was self fruit
- 27:57Speaker 5: go fund me campaign as of yesterday raised nine hundred
- 28:01Speaker 5: and thirty thousand US dollars and it's and he is
- 28:06Speaker 5: rightly going to be getting some money for doing what
- 28:11Speaker 5: he did.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Obviously he wasn't thing of doing that.
- 28:13Speaker 4: But the Prime Minister of Australia went there and I
- 28:17Speaker 4: think the head of the province went there to to.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Meet with him.
- 28:23Speaker 4: I mean, it's just it's that is a neat story.
- 28:26Speaker 4: That is an Assyrian. By the way, an Assyrian born
- 28:31Speaker 4: in Syria, so he's an Australian citizen. He came to
- 28:35Speaker 4: Australia in two thousand and six. But for all those
- 28:38Speaker 4: people that are screaming about how you have Arabs who
- 28:41Speaker 4: were members of ISIS, this was a man who's a
- 28:44Speaker 4: Muslim who saved people in a big, big way.
- 28:47Speaker 6: Well, you do have people who are members of ISIS.
- 28:51Speaker 6: I mean that's what these guys were.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I mean, no, no, I'm talking about that.
- 28:54Speaker 6: You're saying you can't blanket and say, yeah, I'm.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Talking about I'm talking about the man who saved all
- 29:00Speaker 4: all these other lives by tackling these terrorists.
- 29:03Speaker 6: Yeah, he was amazing.
- 29:05Speaker 5: And the other thing that I didn't realize this initially,
- 29:08Speaker 5: that the shooting was carried out over a half an hour,
- 29:13Speaker 5: Like it wasn't like a lot of the shootings that
- 29:15Speaker 5: come in and spray a place with bullets and it's over.
- 29:18Speaker 5: This was ongoing before they were Well you.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Saw the video overhead video you saw I think it
- 29:24Speaker 4: was the sun shooting from that overpass that little bridge
- 29:29Speaker 4: which has concrete walls on either side, so you can
- 29:32Speaker 4: see how he could have shot from there and been
- 29:35Speaker 4: protected by the wall. Okay, we're done, guys. This is
