- 0:02Hello, everyone, and welcome back to EyeOpener Society's Wednesday night guided meditation.
- 0:09I thank everybody for joining and tuning in again.
- 0:12I want everyone, as always, to find your spot, your place to relax,
- 0:20wherever that may be and however that may be.
- 0:24Again, there are no rules when it comes to meditation. You don't need to be in certain positions.
- 0:30You don't have to have, you know, your special cushions and certain poses.
- 0:37No, you just find what works best for you.
- 0:42Get yourself comfortable. Get relaxed.
- 0:47And again, just picture my voice as a guide. That's all it is.
- 0:54So find that spot Get yourself comfortable Hit pause And then come back And
- 1:03join me for this guided meditation For the inner stage.
- 1:12You're tuning into Eye Opener Society, and this is a journey into performance.
- 1:18Not the one that happens under bright lights or in front of an audience,
- 1:24but the performance of being human.
- 1:28This meditation is for anyone who has ever stepped onto a stage,
- 1:32literally or metaphorically, and felt the weight of expectation,
- 1:37the pull between who we are and who we're asked to be.
- 1:43So again, get yourself comfortable.
- 1:46Start working on your breath. Just focus on it.
- 1:51We don't need super deep breaths. We just need to breathe normally.
- 1:58It's a normal action that we do all the time.
- 2:02But this time we focus on it and that should be the only thing we're concentrating
- 2:08on is your breathing and my voice.
- 2:14Just breathe a few deep breaths and relax your body.
- 2:24Imagine yourself walking down the aisle of an old, dimly lit theater.
- 2:30Where there's rows of empty seats that stretch out on both sides.
- 2:33They're silent and waiting.
- 2:36You can hear the faint creak of the floor beneath your steps.
- 2:40The stage ahead glows softly in gold and amber light,
- 2:46Take another slow breath in And as you exhale Feel your body begin to relax,
- 2:57You've been preparing for this moment your entire life Not a performance for
- 3:03others But a performance of truth.
- 3:09Step up onto the stage You see a single chair in the center waiting for you,
- 3:17As you sit, notice the air change Quiet,
- 3:23electric, and alive Then from the wings of your mind Someone begins to walk forward It's you,
- 3:35another version of you the performer,
- 3:40the one who knows how to put on the mask deliver the lines smile when it's time,
- 3:49but tonight right now there's no script just honesty,
- 3:58take a deep breath in and as you exhale let the mask begin to soften Let the
- 4:06performer step closer until you can feel their presence merge with yours.
- 4:12You are no longer pretending. You are now becoming.
- 4:20Now imagine a soft, white spotlight above you.
- 4:24And as it shines down, not harsh, but warm, this light is awareness.
- 4:32It illuminates every part of you, the confident, the scared,
- 4:38the expressive, and the hidden.
- 4:43With every inhale, feel that light grow stronger. with every exhale,
- 4:50let go of self-judgment.
- 4:53And then just repeat quietly to yourself, I allow myself to be seen.
- 5:01I perform not to please, but to express.
- 5:07My truth is art.
- 5:11So again, let's repeat that to ourselves As we focus on our breath I allow myself to be seen,
- 5:22I perform not to please But to express My truth is art.
- 5:34Now the scene begins to fade, the lights dim, and the theater grows silent again.
- 5:43But inside you, a quiet applause begins to rise.
- 5:48Not from the crowd, but from your own soul. You showed up.
- 5:56You revealed yourself.
- 5:59And that's the truest act of courage. Take one last deep breath in,
- 6:06And exhale any remaining tension Feel yourself grounded, real, and renewed,
- 6:16And then when you are ready I want you to open your eyes The stage is always
- 6:23there But the best performance is living truthfully Moment by moment.
