1:06
SPEAKER_01: It's a beautiful day on the South Strand.
1:09
SPEAKER_01: Is it really?
1:10
SPEAKER_01: Yes, it is, most assuredly.
1:12
SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Conversations with the Hoff.
1:15
SPEAKER_01: I'm Steve Hoffman, your host, and with me in the studio today is the executive producer of Liberty Crack Media, Trip Detmering.
1:23
SPEAKER_00: Hey everybody.
1:25
SPEAKER_00: Welcome to another glorious episode of Conversations with the Hoff.
1:29
SPEAKER_00: I really am uh looking forward to this, and it's just gonna be Steve and I talking today.
1:34
SPEAKER_01: Yep, and it's it's quite a subject too.
1:37
SPEAKER_01: Today we're gonna talk about your favorite president.
1:40
SPEAKER_01: You know, Donald J.
1:41
SPEAKER_01: Trump, the mega community who worship at the altar of Trump, love to chant, promises made, promises kept.
1:53
SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm pretty brilliant.
1:55
SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm your f I'm your favorite president.
1:59
SPEAKER_00: Definitely your favorite president.
2:02
SPEAKER_01: And that's they they kind of think that he can do nothing wrong.
2:06
SPEAKER_01: So are they being realistic or are they living in a dream world?
2:12
SPEAKER_01: Well, we're gonna do a little study here.
2:15
SPEAKER_01: We're gonna do a little analysis.
2:17
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't really have to be a deep dive.
2:19
SPEAKER_00: This is pretty shallow dive, in my opinion.
2:21
SPEAKER_01: Well, what can I say?
2:22
SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm just a shallow kind of person.
2:26
SPEAKER_00: Talking to Brenda again.
2:28
SPEAKER_01: So he's served two terms as president.
2:33
SPEAKER_01: Uh one of the few, one of only two presidents that are non-consecutive terms.
2:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: Split term.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: And there before both of his uh campaigns, his elections, he made promises to the American people.
2:46
SPEAKER_01: And it was these promises that really stirred up the American people, and probably were the reason that he won both of those elections.
2:56
SPEAKER_01: Now, what did he promise the American people prior to his first term?
3:00
SPEAKER_01: Well, the issues were outlined in contract with the American voter, and it was a 28-point plan.
3:09
SPEAKER_01: And the major portions of that plan included immigration and border security.
3:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
3:15
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, he was very concerned about the flood of immigrants walking across that border.
3:23
SPEAKER_01: We didn't have a really solid control of the border, and he was gonna build a wall.
3:27
SPEAKER_01: We're gonna build a wall, and Mexico's gonna pay for the wall.
3:31
SPEAKER_01: Right.
3:32
SPEAKER_01: Mexico was gonna pay for it.
3:34
SPEAKER_01: He was also gonna do a couple of other things to cut down on the invasion of illegal immigrants, and that was end the catch and release processes, defund the sanctuary cities, and triple the number of ICE agents.
3:52
SPEAKER_01: He also had a plan for improving the economy and it had to do with the tax reduction and economic policy.
4:00
SPEAKER_01: Now, cutting the corporate tax rate from 35 to 15 percent, I think was a great idea.
4:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
4:07
SPEAKER_01: You know, tax enough already.
4:10
SPEAKER_01: He was going to reduce individual income taxes.
4:13
SPEAKER_01: Yay, I can vote for that.
4:15
SPEAKER_01: And because of all this, he was gonna bring back manufacturing jobs.
4:20
SPEAKER_01: If we reduce corporate taxes, they're not gonna go to tax havens overseas, they're gonna come back to the U.S.
4:27
SPEAKER_01: and we'll have more jobs.
4:29
SPEAKER_01: Also, he hated NAFTA.
4:31
SPEAKER_01: He didn't like those agreements.
4:32
SPEAKER_01: He thought they were one-sided, and he was gonna withdraw from the TPP.
4:38
SPEAKER_01: The other thing I think that got him elected.
4:41
SPEAKER_01: The total toilet paper.
4:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the toilet paper.
4:45
SPEAKER_00: The Trans-Pacific Partnership.
4:47
SPEAKER_01: Indubitably.
4:49
SPEAKER_01: He also uh knew that Americans were kind of fed up with the U.S.
4:53
SPEAKER_01: health care system.
4:55
SPEAKER_01: And one of his big points he was gonna repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare.
5:03
SPEAKER_01: You can keep your doctor.
5:04
SPEAKER_01: Uh bullshit.
5:05
SPEAKER_01: Um he also was gonna work on reducing the high um medical drug prices in the United States.
5:15
SPEAKER_01: Also, one of the big concerns of Donald Trump was national security and foreign policy.
5:21
SPEAKER_01: In those days, ISIS was sweeping the Middle East, and he declared he was gonna defeat ISIS.
5:29
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna rebuild the U.S.
5:31
SPEAKER_01: military, and also NATO has been taking advantage of us for decades, and he was gonna pressure the NATO allies to pay more for their defense.
5:43
SPEAKER_01: He also talked about ending nation building, you know, like uh the Bush people, you know.
5:50
SPEAKER_01: Declare the world safe for democracy.
5:52
SPEAKER_00: That's right.
5:53
SPEAKER_00: He didn't have any CIA ties, so yeah.
5:55
SPEAKER_01: Right.
5:56
SPEAKER_01: And also uh government reform.
5:59
SPEAKER_01: The key word that you heard during his first administration and the first campaigns was drain the swamp.
6:07
SPEAKER_01: And we've talked about that before in previous episodes of conversations with the Hof, and how sometimes the third branch of government is really the lobbying branch.
6:17
SPEAKER_01: They have an inordinate amount of power power.
6:21
SPEAKER_01: So he was gonna drain the swamp.
6:23
SPEAKER_01: Also, he wanted term limits for members of Congress.
6:28
SPEAKER_01: Now that uh that takes a uh constitutional amendment.
6:33
SPEAKER_00: That takes an act of Congress.
6:34
unknown: Definitely.
6:36
SPEAKER_01: And I really don't want to piss off my uh JBS listeners, but uh that would mean that uh the states would have to maybe pass the CON-CON thing and have a conven convention of states.
6:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
6:50
SPEAKER_01: But we don't want to get into that.
6:52
SPEAKER_01: Also, he was gonna institute federal hiring freezes, reduce the number of federal employees in Mordor on the Potomac, and of course, uh he he was no fan of uh the global warming scam or the climate change scam.
7:12
SPEAKER_01: So he was gonna cancel billions of dollars to UN climate programs.
7:17
SPEAKER_01: This all sounds pretty great, you know?
7:20
SPEAKER_01: Sounds like somebody I'd vote for.
7:22
SPEAKER_01: Also, as far as trade and jobs, he was gonna impose tariffs on companies that offshore jobs.
7:30
SPEAKER_01: Along with reducing their taxes, he was gonna also, if they did have a manufacturing plant overseas, where they were gonna have an increased tariff.
7:39
SPEAKER_01: And his plan was to create 25 million jobs over 10 years.
7:45
SPEAKER_01: Now, as far as energy and the environment, most of us know where Donald Trump stands there.
7:50
SPEAKER_01: He wants to make America energy sufficient.
7:54
SPEAKER_01: And he was gonna approve the Keystone XL pipeline, which Obama had put the shafts to.
8:03
SPEAKER_01: He had basically canceled that.
8:05
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna expand fossil fuel production, coal, oil, and natural gas during his first term, and he was gonna roll back environmental regulations.
8:15
SPEAKER_01: Most of them were extremely burdensome.
8:18
SPEAKER_01: So that was his big plan.
8:21
SPEAKER_01: So for Omega people, how did he do?
8:24
SPEAKER_01: What were the results?
8:26
SPEAKER_01: Did he actually live up to his promises?
8:29
SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna look at promises kept and promises not kept.
8:34
SPEAKER_01: So promises kept, he did in fact make a major tax overhaul.
8:41
SPEAKER_01: And that was when the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was enacted.
8:48
SPEAKER_01: It did reduce uh corporate tax rates and it gave a tax break to a lot of uh individuals.
8:57
SPEAKER_01: He also did a lot in turning the Supreme Court and dozen of our federal courts more conservative.
9:05
SPEAKER_01: He made a lot of appointments, and that that kind of helped him out a little bit in the first term because he now now he had part of the judiciary on his side.
9:15
SPEAKER_01: He did implement some deregulation.
9:19
SPEAKER_01: There was a thing, uh two two for one regulatory rollback.
9:24
SPEAKER_01: If an agency wanted to make a re uh uh a regulation, they had to rescind two addition two additional regulations.
9:34
SPEAKER_01: So that would definitely cut back on the bureaucracy.
9:38
SPEAKER_01: He also aggressively cut environmental and business regulations.
9:45
SPEAKER_01: He also promised to take a hardline stance on immigration.
9:51
SPEAKER_01: He restrict entry from several Muslim majority or terror-prone countries.
9:57
SPEAKER_01: That was the travel ban, and increase ICE enforcement and tightened asylum rules.
10:05
SPEAKER_01: Now I did mention trade actions.
10:07
SPEAKER_01: He did, in fact, he kept his promise and withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the TPP.
10:15
SPEAKER_01: He renegotiated NAFTA, it's now called the US MCA.
10:22
SPEAKER_01: Why MCA?
10:23
SPEAKER_01: No, that's a different one.
10:25
SPEAKER_01: He also imposed additional tariffs on China and other countries to try to um balance the books, so to speak.
10:36
SPEAKER_01: As far as energy and uh climate, he did in fact withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, and he rolled back numerous EPA rules.
10:49
SPEAKER_01: He did have some mixed results, though, and that was a border wall.
10:54
SPEAKER_01: Yes, hundreds of miles of new or replacement barriers were built, but Mexico did not pay for it, and much of the construction just involved replacing existing fencing.
11:09
SPEAKER_01: He did have a limited progress in lowering some drug prices, but it was not a sweeping reduction across the board.
11:19
SPEAKER_01: He did have a limited amount of success in manufacturing revival.
11:25
SPEAKER_01: There was some job growth earlier in his term, but I think because of COVID and a lot of other issues, that job growth didn't did not necessarily continue at the latter part of his term.
11:39
SPEAKER_01: Infrastructure.
11:40
SPEAKER_01: He promised a$1 trillion infrastructure plan.
11:44
SPEAKER_01: You know, fix the roads.
11:45
SPEAKER_01: Who's gonna build the roads?
11:47
SPEAKER_01: Well, unfortunately, that was only fragmented, only partially completed.
11:53
SPEAKER_01: Okay, what were things that he promised that did not happen?
11:56
SPEAKER_01: Promises not kept.
11:59
SPEAKER_01: Repeal and replace Obamacare.
12:02
SPEAKER_01: Thanks to his own Republican Party, John McCain, Congress failed to pass the defunding of the Affordable Care Act.
12:12
SPEAKER_01: And even today it remains intact.
12:16
SPEAKER_01: Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.
12:18
SPEAKER_01: We we we already talked about that.
12:20
SPEAKER_01: Mexican Mexico did not pay for the wall.
12:24
SPEAKER_01: You, the American taxpayer, are paying to build the wall.
12:29
SPEAKER_01: Eliminate the national debt.
12:32
SPEAKER_01: Well, if you listen to my previous podcast, we the national debt is probably the greatest existential threat to the American way of life.
12:42
SPEAKER_01: And during his administration, the national debt did not decrease, but it increased significantly.
12:51
SPEAKER_01: He also promised to end birthright citizenship.
12:54
SPEAKER_01: And there was no that would take a constitutional change, and it did not happen.
13:00
SPEAKER_01: Term limits for Congress, we already talked about that.
13:03
SPEAKER_01: That did not happen.
13:05
SPEAKER_01: A full ban on lobbying by former officials.
13:08
SPEAKER_01: Early in his administration, he actually started getting some legislation in that direction.
13:15
SPEAKER_01: But then later on, he he issued some executive orders that revoke revoked all of that.
13:20
SPEAKER_01: So he was kind of wishy-washy on that.
13:23
SPEAKER_01: You want to drain the swamp?
13:25
SPEAKER_01: Then you better do something about the lobbying process.
13:29
SPEAKER_01: Replace common core.
13:32
SPEAKER_01: Most of us conservatives believe that all this common core, DEI, SEL stuff, is total BS and has no place in the American governmental system.
13:44
SPEAKER_01: It was not eliminated.
13:46
SPEAKER_01: He talked a lot about eliminating it, but the states continued to have their own standards that they can enforce.
13:52
SPEAKER_01: So most of the states still had their version of common core in DEI, even though Trump frowned on it.
13:59
SPEAKER_01: The Keystone XL pipeline ultimately was not built.
14:04
SPEAKER_01: It was blocked by the courts.
14:07
SPEAKER_01: And of course, then during the Biden administration, they kind of put the kabage to it, finally.
14:14
SPEAKER_01: So overall, did President Trump keep his promises during the first term?
14:21
SPEAKER_01: Well, my condolences, Mega people, only 23% of his promises were kept.
14:30
SPEAKER_01: 22% were compromised, and 53% were not kept.
14:37
SPEAKER_00: Well, Steve, I'm gonna put on my uh my red hat here for a minute and lower my OQ and uh kind of push back a little bit.
14:46
SPEAKER_00: I mean, come on, man.
14:48
SPEAKER_00: I mean, there the the first term had COVID, and we had uh this conspiracy of of Dems and Rhinos that were trying to push everything back.
14:59
SPEAKER_00: It's not his fault.
15:00
SPEAKER_00: Everything he did, um all these failures that are pointed out, it's not his fault.
15:06
SPEAKER_00: I mean, the obstruction that he had to go against, the the cabinet turncoats that he had uh within, this enemy within his even his own uh administration that was working against him.
15:19
SPEAKER_00: Um, don't you understand?
15:21
SPEAKER_00: It he had nothing to do with this.
15:23
SPEAKER_01: Well, I totally agree.
15:25
SPEAKER_01: You do his primary enemy was the deep state.
15:29
SPEAKER_00: You really agreed with that crap I just dumped out on you.
15:33
SPEAKER_01: Well, a lot of it.
15:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he uh he was fighting his own party.
15:37
SPEAKER_00: I I you know I I I was serious when I said I dumbed down my OQ and my red hat.
15:43
SPEAKER_00: Okay, COVID.
15:45
SPEAKER_00: Uh let's start with that.
15:46
SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, yeah, he was that was part of his fault because he listened to the CDC.
15:52
SPEAKER_01: He listened to it.
15:54
SPEAKER_00: Not part, it was entirely his fault.
15:57
SPEAKER_00: It really was.
15:58
SPEAKER_00: It was entirely his fault because he didn't take the time.
16:01
SPEAKER_00: It to him, it wasn't important.
16:04
SPEAKER_00: I mean, he he even admitted that when in his off term during old uh Biden, that he took his eye off the wall, the ball because he thought he could relegate it to these experts.
16:15
SPEAKER_00: Well, this is exactly what you don't do.
16:18
SPEAKER_00: You don't relegate.
16:20
SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's that's swampy thought.
16:22
SPEAKER_00: That's that's completely swampy thought.
16:24
SPEAKER_00: Now, okay, the conspiracy of Dems and Rhinos.
16:27
SPEAKER_00: Um, come on.
16:29
SPEAKER_00: Do you really think that the Democrats and the Rhinos got together at a coffee clutch outside of the um the ring and coordinated this attack on him?
16:39
SPEAKER_00: Well, they don't have to, it's their nature.
16:41
SPEAKER_00: They're big government types to begin with.
16:43
SPEAKER_00: So do you think it was a surprise that he should have not anticipated when he got in there?
16:49
SPEAKER_01: Remember, he's just trying to get elected.
16:51
SPEAKER_01: So he's telling the American voters what they want to hear.
16:54
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but when he gets in and he has these failures that go in, and people say, well, it's not his fault.
17:00
SPEAKER_00: It definitely was his fault because he let the money and the influence and his uh all his elitists that were at his cocktail parties, as he was a Democrat, uh tell him who to get into his cabinet, who to trust.
17:19
SPEAKER_00: Here's their wallet, they're gonna be backing you, and we can handle them and all this other stuff.
17:25
SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, they were going out and saying, we got this idiot handled.
17:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
17:30
SPEAKER_00: So do you think he learned his lessons during the second term?
17:33
SPEAKER_00: I think he learned some lessons.
17:36
SPEAKER_00: I think he he he learned some some lessons.
17:38
SPEAKER_00: And as far as the enemy within, again, uh that I think was his ego.
17:44
SPEAKER_00: Um saying I think I could let a little of this slide to go through here, but I I really know I'm I have the art of the deal.
17:54
SPEAKER_00: I could do this.
17:55
SPEAKER_00: You know, uh I this is something I'm marvelous.
17:59
SPEAKER_00: Everybody loves me, that everybody, everybody wants me to succeed, everybody's gonna have this.
18:06
SPEAKER_00: That is not reality, and he he got sucked into it.
18:10
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
18:11
SPEAKER_01: I've always told people that they tell me, well, you know, Donald Trump plays 4D chess.
18:16
SPEAKER_01: Oh, God, yeah.
18:17
SPEAKER_01: And I reply, no, he's playing three-card Monty.
18:20
SPEAKER_00: Oh, i i I think he's struggling with one-dimensional checkers.
18:25
SPEAKER_00: Um, because it it really is.
18:27
SPEAKER_00: He's got a great facade, he has a great megaphone.
18:31
SPEAKER_00: Um, I I think his uh his uh uh propaganda machine is pretty genius as far as going up against the current propaganda machine that he's got in there.
18:44
SPEAKER_00: I'll give him props on that.
18:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay, but I think I personally think that uh this whole Donald Trump is is great and he is uh transformational and all this other stuff.
18:58
SPEAKER_00: I I watched this guy, uh Dr.
19:00
SPEAKER_00: Um Turley, uh on Turley Talks.
19:04
SPEAKER_00: Now he's not the Turley that we see on Fox News that's the attorney guy.
19:09
SPEAKER_00: Um this is a different fellow that's that's online.
19:12
SPEAKER_00: And he's very good.
19:14
SPEAKER_00: He brings out a lot of great points, but he is just so into conflating everything that uh that Donald Trump does and everything the administration does, and it is blinding.
19:29
SPEAKER_00: What do you mean by conflating?
19:31
SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, uh remember you're talking to the Hof.
19:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
19:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
19:37
SPEAKER_00: Keep it simple.
19:37
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, instead of just inflating the things that that are there, he he he takes even the the failures that go on and conflate it as this um genius move that's gonna work out in the future and things like that.
19:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, absolutely.
19:52
SPEAKER_00: They they create this this absolutely false narrative of this brilliance that's going on.
19:58
SPEAKER_00: He's just my feeling is that he is the guy who's throwing copious amounts of spaghetti against the wall and is amazed at how much is sticking.
20:10
SPEAKER_00: It's just that we've never had anybody throw that much spaghetti against the wall.
20:14
SPEAKER_01: Definitely, yeah.
20:14
SPEAKER_01: That's a good analogy.
20:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
20:16
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so let's let's move on to the second term.
20:19
SPEAKER_00: Well, before we do that, let's also acknowledge um, since he did have it split, now Biden gets into office, and one of the first things he does is reverse anything that was that was a uh uh almost everything that was positive during the Trump administration.
20:38
SPEAKER_00: Or or or negative or or neutral.
20:40
SPEAKER_00: He just blanketly reversed everything.
20:44
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they had their own agenda.
20:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
20:46
SPEAKER_00: So you you have um uh stupidity.
20:50
SPEAKER_00: I mean, they didn't there was no there was no intelligence behind the way they did it.
20:55
SPEAKER_00: They just said Trump did it, we're gonna undo it.
21:13
SPEAKER_00: Um and yeah, they took things that even their own party supported and reversed it and uh and screwed things up.
21:21
SPEAKER_01: Um Trump derangement derangement syndrome.
21:25
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, and there was anger because um they couldn't get the witch in office.
21:29
SPEAKER_00: Now, let's also talk about how Trump got into power.
21:32
SPEAKER_00: He got into power because of the Clintons.
21:36
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, Hillary, right?
21:38
SPEAKER_01: Hillary was running against him.
21:39
SPEAKER_00: Well, she was gonna for Hillary.
21:43
SPEAKER_00: She and her husband funded his uh presidential campaign.
21:49
SPEAKER_00: The first time?
21:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
21:52
SPEAKER_01: Hillary was his opponent.
21:54
SPEAKER_01: No.
21:54
SPEAKER_01: He had a choice between the Hillary.
21:56
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely not.
21:57
SPEAKER_01: She was not his opponent.
21:58
SPEAKER_01: Who was his opponent?
22:00
SPEAKER_00: Nine other Republicans trying to get his that seat.
22:05
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I see.
22:05
SPEAKER_00: So she dumped millions of dollars to prop in his his campaign.
22:13
SPEAKER_00: And why do you think she did that?
22:15
SPEAKER_01: Because you thought it would be easier to beat him than she was.
22:17
SPEAKER_00: She thought that was the lowest fruit that possibly could be.
22:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
22:22
SPEAKER_00: So now the Americans can see this duopoly and how they work hand in hand stupidity.
22:29
SPEAKER_00: Now she propped him up and then all of a sudden got bitch slapped in the elections.
22:37
SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
22:38
SPEAKER_00: So which is rather apropos.
22:40
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
22:41
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
22:42
SPEAKER_00: And he is still good friends with uh Bill Clinton.
22:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, he's not really that close with Hillary because let's face it, Hillary probably would have him murdered, and she who knows, she might even be behind some of the attempts.
22:57
SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
22:58
SPEAKER_00: Bill is a likable guy.
22:59
SPEAKER_00: But he is he's a likable guy, and he has very uh few things in common with his wife politically.
23:06
SPEAKER_01: No.
23:06
SPEAKER_01: I've been in a room with Bill Clinton before, and when he talks to you, he makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world.
23:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
23:14
SPEAKER_01: He's a very genuine fellow, Bill Clinton.
23:18
SPEAKER_01: I will have that much.
23:19
SPEAKER_01: For him.
23:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he is.
23:20
SPEAKER_00: So now we've got the casty characters.
23:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
23:23
SPEAKER_00: Uh, we've got uh everything that that Biden's been doing, and during this this uh this time off, we've got the the biggest thing, which is the Democrats' overreaction by creating lawfare and trying to bring him down so he cannot run.
23:41
SPEAKER_01: So let's go into move on to the next term.
23:44
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there we go.
23:45
SPEAKER_01: Now he did make promises, a lot of them were in response to the bad things that happened there in the Biden administration.
23:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
23:54
SPEAKER_01: And the number one issue at the time millions of illegal immigrants swarming across our borders, immigration and border policy.
24:05
SPEAKER_01: So Donald Trump vowed to have the largest domestic deportation operation in U.S.
24:13
SPEAKER_01: history.
24:14
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna close the border on day one.
24:18
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna end the open border policies, and even I agree that open borders did not work in a welfare state.
24:26
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna uh use the U.S.
24:29
SPEAKER_01: Navy to blockade drug routes and immediately expel all migrant criminals.
24:36
SPEAKER_01: And he was gonna use the Alien Enemies Act to dismantle criminal networks.
24:44
SPEAKER_01: As far as the economy taxes and energy goes, again, he was gonna institute big tax cuts for all classes middle class, upper class, lower class, and business class, big tax cuts.
25:02
SPEAKER_01: No tax on tips, overtime, or social security income.
25:07
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna bring back again thousands of factories, increase manufacturing in the United States, and he was gonna lower inflation and interest rates.
25:17
SPEAKER_01: I don't know how he's gonna do that, but he also was gonna end the electric vehicle mandate on day one, double U.S.
25:26
SPEAKER_01: electricity capability capacity, and approve new oil drilling and power plants immediately.
25:33
SPEAKER_01: Foreign policy.
25:36
SPEAKER_01: Donald Trump promised at the beginning of his second term to end the Ukraine war.
25:44
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna end conflict in the Middle East.
25:47
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna build a missile defense shield for the U.S., support the people of Cuba, and as far as government goes, he was gonna immediately abolish the Department of Education, remove federal funding from schools with mask and vaccine mandates, ban critical race theory and gender identity curricula, defend gun rights.
26:16
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna have laws on the books to defend the election integrity.
26:21
SPEAKER_01: In other words, introduce paper ballots, have the need for voter ID and proof of citizenship.
26:30
SPEAKER_01: On day one, he was gonna pardon all the January 6th defendants.
26:35
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna land an American on Mars and imprison flag burners.
26:41
SPEAKER_01: And again, he kept up with his tariff policy, a universal 10 to 20 percent tariff on all non-domestic goods, a 25% tariff on all Mexican goods.
26:53
SPEAKER_01: So you see a common theme there, where he was definitely for tariffs.
26:58
SPEAKER_01: Now, those are some impressive promises, and the American people at that time were ready for those promises because of all of the nonsense that happened during the Biden campaign, you know, uh uh administration.
27:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
27:13
SPEAKER_01: Just total BS, just trying to destroy the American way of life.
27:18
SPEAKER_01: So Donald Trump looked like a breath of fresh air when he sought his second term.
27:26
SPEAKER_01: So what were the results?
27:29
SPEAKER_01: Now he did, in fact, pardon all the January 6th defendants.
27:34
SPEAKER_01: He also pardoned what's his name?
27:37
SPEAKER_01: Ross Albricht.
27:38
SPEAKER_01: Ross Albricht, which is a promise he made when he attended the Libertarian National Convention prior to his election.
27:46
SPEAKER_01: So that was definitely a plus.
27:49
SPEAKER_01: Uh for taxes in the economy.
27:51
SPEAKER_01: He did, in fact, extend the 2017 tax cuts.
27:56
SPEAKER_01: So that's a promise that was kept.
28:00
SPEAKER_01: And he did, as far as uh the uh technology and culture TikTok was an app that supposedly was uh controlled by the Communist Party of China.
28:13
SPEAKER_01: And he said in order to keep it, it's has it has to become a United States company, it has to be a majority investor controlled by U.S.
28:24
SPEAKER_01: investors, and that did happen in January 2026.
28:28
SPEAKER_01: So he kept that promise.
28:31
SPEAKER_01: He was also gonna be a hardliner when it came to immigration enforcement.
28:35
SPEAKER_01: Sounds like a repeat thing from his previous administration, but he did in fact implement a lot of the immigration reforms that he he said he was gonna do, and he did that in the first year, including aggressive immigration and for enforcement, deregulation, revoke environmental regulations.
28:59
SPEAKER_01: He did, in fact do a lot of that.
29:02
SPEAKER_01: So that's a capped.
29:04
SPEAKER_01: Economic performance.
29:06
SPEAKER_01: Stronger than expected GDP growth, he did succeed in having that happen in the parts of 2025.
29:15
SPEAKER_01: But what he did not accomplish, or that was stalled, broken, or blocked, immigration mega promises.
29:23
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna have the largest domestic deportation up operation in U.S.
29:28
SPEAKER_01: history.
29:29
SPEAKER_01: Well, that didn't happen.
29:32
SPEAKER_01: Now uh Tripp is gonna tell you that it's not all his fault.
29:35
SPEAKER_01: He was definitely blocked in it making that happen.
29:38
SPEAKER_01: But it did not happen.
29:39
SPEAKER_00: When I have my low OQ and uh red hat on, yeah.
29:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when he when he goes into his rant after I get done here.
29:46
SPEAKER_01: As far as government uh restructuring, abolish the Department of Education.
29:51
SPEAKER_01: Now, let me tell you, I had a previous episode.
29:54
SPEAKER_01: That was a complete scam.
29:56
SPEAKER_01: Yes, the Secretary of Education has vowed to eliminate her department.
30:02
SPEAKER_01: But guess what?
30:03
SPEAKER_01: Every government education program has not been sent back to the states like you promised.
30:09
SPEAKER_01: It's been moved to another government agency.
30:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
30:12
SPEAKER_01: That's why I say federal government agency.
30:15
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, federal government agency.
30:16
SPEAKER_01: Like I say, he's not playing 40 chess, he's playing three card Monty.
30:22
SPEAKER_00: Ooh, look where I moved the He's not draining the swamp, he's just uh uh reordering the swamp.
30:30
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
30:32
SPEAKER_01: And uh his his tax promises, uh no tax on Social Security, oh that never happened.
30:40
SPEAKER_01: And in my research, uh I I thought that he did implement implement no tax on tips, but the research says no, that didn't happen.
30:48
SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna have to do the little further research on that.
30:52
SPEAKER_00: Well, they they uh yeah, I mean it's uh it there was so many carve-outs to the no tax on tips that it just ended up being tax on tips 99.9 percent of the time.
31:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
31:10
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
31:10
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
31:11
SPEAKER_01: Also, it was gonna reduce the cost of living.
31:14
SPEAKER_01: Well, how many of you have been to the grocery store lately?
31:18
SPEAKER_01: How many of you have been to the gas station lately?
31:21
SPEAKER_01: Well, obviously that is a not kept promise.
31:25
SPEAKER_01: Uh tariff and trades, universal emergency terrorists.
31:30
SPEAKER_01: That was his plan, but here again, it's not really his fault that it didn't happen, because that was blocked by the Supreme Court and other courts.
31:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
31:39
SPEAKER_01: Foreign policy promises.
31:41
SPEAKER_01: This is where it really looks bad.
31:43
SPEAKER_01: Did we end the Ukraine war?
31:46
SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
31:47
SPEAKER_01: It's still going on today, and it's in the news every day.
31:52
SPEAKER_01: End Middle East conflicts.
31:54
SPEAKER_01: Can you spell Iran?
31:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
31:58
SPEAKER_01: Obviously, he did not end the conflicts in the Middle East.
32:02
SPEAKER_00: Well, uh today, I don't know if you had a chance to look at the uh the news to this morning.
32:09
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, he's the peace plan's gonna be signed.
32:12
SPEAKER_01: But in the meantime, uh Iran's bombing the hell out of uh other eastern countries, and uh they're gonna bomb all of uh Elon Musk's companies, too.
32:22
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna destroy them.
32:23
SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, a peace plan?
32:25
SPEAKER_01: What's going on here?
32:26
SPEAKER_01: So tell me about the peace plan.
32:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
32:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
32:30
SPEAKER_01: Okay, uh energy and infrastructure.
32:33
SPEAKER_01: He was gonna double U.S.
32:35
SPEAKER_01: electric capacity.
32:37
SPEAKER_01: Well, that's not happened.
32:38
SPEAKER_01: And it's becoming a greater and greater concern now that we talk about these uh data banks, right?
32:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the data centers.
32:46
SPEAKER_00: Data centers to support the AI infrastructure.
32:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
32:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's gonna take massive amounts of electricity, and we have not come up with a valid plan on how we're gonna pr produce all of that electricity.
33:00
SPEAKER_01: And uh he was gonna approve massive new oil drilling immediately.
33:05
SPEAKER_01: That was only partially done and not at a promised scale.
33:09
SPEAKER_01: Yes, we are drilling a lot, and uh we're better off than most countries, I will say that.
33:16
SPEAKER_01: Election and governance, this is one of the biggest failures, and primarily as a result of his own party.
33:23
SPEAKER_01: What do they call that?
33:24
SPEAKER_01: The uh the voter or the election and freedom act or something like that?
33:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
33:29
SPEAKER_01: The Save America Act or the Save America Act America to improve uh voter election integrity with paper ballots, voter ID, and proof of citizenship.
33:41
SPEAKER_01: Well, his own party shot that down.
33:45
SPEAKER_01: So um during his second term, what were the results?
33:52
SPEAKER_01: Did he do as good as the first term?
33:56
SPEAKER_01: Well, my condolences, megapopulation, he kept his promises were kept only 19% of the time, as opposed to 23% of the time in the previous term of office.
34:11
SPEAKER_01: So it's pretty clear that uh if you're gonna make a lot of promises, you know, sometimes for you mega people, sometimes reality sucks.
34:25
SPEAKER_01: Um your mantra of promises made, promises kept does not correspond with real-world data.
34:34
SPEAKER_01: But it must be remembered that the United States is a constitutional republic where we have built-in checks and balances to prevent any one of the three branches of government, legislative, executive, or judicial, from gaining too much power that could eventually result in tyranny.
34:55
SPEAKER_01: President Trump could have easily become a tyrant, in my opinion, if it weren't for these checks and balances.
35:04
SPEAKER_01: And also if it weren't for his own party and the legislature and the opposition he received from the courts.
35:11
SPEAKER_01: Now, I actually think that Donald Trump's two terms were a start in the right direction.
35:22
SPEAKER_01: In other words, our country is not even slowly drifting towards socialism.
35:28
SPEAKER_01: But you know, uh the uh Martin Luther King has dreams.
35:33
SPEAKER_01: Well, I have a dream also, and I dream that one day all three branches of our government will be committed to my mantra: less government, more freedom.
35:44
SPEAKER_01: This is the only thing that will revert reverse our current travel down the road to socialism.
35:51
SPEAKER_01: So thanks for listening.
35:52
SPEAKER_00: Well, let's not let's not hold this just quite yet.
35:56
SPEAKER_01: Okay, my condolences to the mega people out there, and now a time for me to pipe in a little bit for trips.
36:03
SPEAKER_00: Here are some things we didn't even touch upon.
36:06
SPEAKER_00: Doge.
36:07
SPEAKER_00: Doge was huge coming into this.
36:09
SPEAKER_00: And then he stabbed the the Dogers in the back.
36:13
SPEAKER_01: That was a big, beautiful bill.
36:14
SPEAKER_01: The big, beautiful bill basically onid everything that Elon Musk fought for in Doge.
36:20
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
36:20
SPEAKER_00: The big, beautiful, awful, huge piece of pork that they they put through.
36:24
SPEAKER_00: Uh, then we also have Iceland that was out there.
36:27
SPEAKER_00: We never even talked about Iceland.
36:29
SPEAKER_00: You know, that was that was huge too.
36:32
SPEAKER_00: We were gonna have we're gonna have that taken over.
36:34
SPEAKER_00: Now that Greenland or Greenland, I'm sorry, Greenland, uh Iceland, Greenland, uh, some frozen piece of uh property that was up there.
36:41
SPEAKER_00: Frozen islands, yeah.
36:43
SPEAKER_00: It was going out there.
36:44
SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, uh Canada being our 51st state.
36:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, well, actually, there are some things going on there that they've got uh a couple of provinces that are seceding from Canada and uh have been talking um to the White House and so on.
36:58
SPEAKER_00: But again, that is something crazy.
37:01
SPEAKER_00: Cuba, Cuba, I mean that that also is something that we haven't addressed.
37:05
SPEAKER_00: Uh he did blockade Cuba.
37:07
SPEAKER_00: They're um, you know, they're on their knees.
37:10
SPEAKER_00: We didn't talk about Argentina.
37:11
SPEAKER_00: Well, let's talk about Cuba.
37:12
SPEAKER_01: Marco Rubio, I think, is doing uh a pretty good job in uh getting our our wishes done in in Cuba.
37:21
SPEAKER_01: Right.
37:22
SPEAKER_01: Eventually, I see Cuba as collapsing as a communist power, right?
37:26
SPEAKER_01: And slowly but surely becoming more friendly with the U.S.
37:30
SPEAKER_01: and trading more with the U.S.
37:32
SPEAKER_00: capturing is a plus.
37:33
SPEAKER_00: The capturing of Maduro uh during his term.
37:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and uh changing over and trying to uh bring uh that uh communist socialist regime to its knees, uh taking over and directing where its oil's going to be and taking it away from Cuba and so on and so forth that went went along with that.
37:50
SPEAKER_00: NATO.
37:51
SPEAKER_00: We haven't even talked about NATO and uh and the uh kind of collapse and of the infrastructure that's going on in the uh the NATO European countries.
38:02
SPEAKER_00: And the U.S.
38:03
SPEAKER_01: is pulling out of NATO.
38:04
SPEAKER_01: Uh Turkey's had a lot of uh ominous threats, so they're not really supporting NATO anymore.
38:10
SPEAKER_00: Right.
38:10
SPEAKER_01: NATO is slowly falling apart.
38:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
38:13
SPEAKER_01: So I mean they're now is that a plus or a negative?
38:16
SPEAKER_01: It's a push.
38:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
38:18
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
38:18
SPEAKER_00: It really is.
38:19
SPEAKER_00: Uh it's it would be great if they were on our side.
38:22
SPEAKER_00: It would be fantastic, but they're they're not.
38:25
SPEAKER_00: They've just been nothing but remoras on on the back of our of the big shark.
38:30
SPEAKER_00: And that's the that's been the the story of NATO.
38:34
SPEAKER_01: All the countries are in um the Europe, European Union are welfare states.
38:38
SPEAKER_01: So they spend a big portion of their budget on welfare, and there's a little left over for defense in the military.
38:45
SPEAKER_00: So, my personal f feeling on this whole thing, it I don't care if you've got Trump, Biden, any of these people from the Uniparty, the lesson that's got to be learned for everybody that goes out there is we need less federal government.
39:00
SPEAKER_00: We need to pull off, we need to stop spending.
39:04
SPEAKER_00: We need to stop spending overseas, we need to stop spending on ridiculous things in here, in this country, and be able to let people have the power, not these elitists that are uh up in the top.
39:18
SPEAKER_01: In other words, you agree with my mantra, less government, more freedom.
39:22
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
39:23
SPEAKER_00: I do, I do.
39:24
SPEAKER_00: And um, and I, you know, whatever personality is gonna be in the White House or in uh Congress or anything else should be irrelevant to all of us because otherwise we're gonna continue to be in this whirlwind going back and forth.
39:39
SPEAKER_00: And then when the when the other side takes over, they're gonna reverse everything and throw us into chaos, and then the other side gets in and they're gonna put in other things and reverse it and put us into more chaos, and it's just gonna continue so that the only winners in this are the elitists, the people who spend the money, the people who invest the money up on top for all this power, and the losers are you and I and the rest of the American public.
40:04
SPEAKER_01: Right.
40:05
SPEAKER_01: As long as we have the two-party system, our representatives, whether they're Democrat or Republican, are not going to represent us.
40:12
SPEAKER_01: They're gonna represent those people who fund their election and re-election campaign.
40:16
SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could eliminate all parties and just run individuals as independents?
40:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could you could do that, or you could just vote libertarian.
40:25
SPEAKER_00: Well, I you know, I as a libertarian, I don't even encourage people to do that.
40:32
SPEAKER_00: Because we put we put in some pretty rank candidates every once in a while.
40:38
SPEAKER_00: So um, but if you do, I would uh and you're in here in South Carolina, I would highly uh recommend people look into Casey Whiteerner, who is going to be going against Lindsey Graham's seats.
40:52
SPEAKER_00: So okay, well, thanks for listening.
40:55
SPEAKER_01: And now we're gonna let Trip give us a plug on the wonderful world of Liberty Crack Media.
41:01
SPEAKER_00: And of course, uh we have tin cups in hand, rattling and rattling.
41:09
SPEAKER_00: We're on the street corners, we're begging for money because freedom isn't free, and neither are microphones and platforms.
41:18
SPEAKER_00: So as we keep going on, more and more costs come in here, and we're trying to get to 2027 where we can get to the next level.
41:28
SPEAKER_00: And my gummies are becoming more expensive too.
41:30
SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the important thing.
41:32
SPEAKER_00: Yes, absolutely.
41:33
SPEAKER_00: So if you can go to LibertyCrackmedia.com and go to our uh Project 2027 page and donate.
41:42
SPEAKER_00: Um, and if you are listening to this after the month of June, just go to our page and just go to the donate page and just give us a little bit of love, help us get across the line.
41:54
SPEAKER_00: I I know we're not feeding uh starving children or uh Somali um gunboats overseas or anything like that, that most people are giving out you know tens of thousands of dollars for things.
42:07
SPEAKER_00: We're not we're not uh having it go into cancer research or Alzheimer's research, and I can't remember the the rest was.
42:15
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
42:16
SPEAKER_00: And uh we, you know, it's not going to something like that, but it is going to the greedy white guys um that are old and trying to get messages out for everybody and some entertainment.
42:28
SPEAKER_00: But we are saving America from the Marxist agenda.
42:31
SPEAKER_00: Yay! That's a pretty worthy cause.
42:33
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
42:34
SPEAKER_00: So if you can throw us a bone, throw us a few bones uh at libertycrackmedia.com.
42:41
SPEAKER_00: All right, everybody, and tune in next week for another wonderful, fantastic conversations with the Hoff.
