- 0:02Hello, welcome to He's hot, but something's off.
- 0:07Oh, we're recording this right after this week's special
- 0:13episode of the Gay Cruise and Travel podcast.
- 0:18I'm not sure this is going up on Thursday.
- 0:20I think it's going to go up probably earlier than Thursday.
- 0:23Whatever day I end up uploading this, it may not be the standard
- 0:26Thursday that these go up on, but I wanted to wanted this
- 0:30episode to go up at the same time as this week's episode of
- 0:34the Gay Goose and travel podcast, because over there this
- 0:38week you guys should actually hop over there listening.
- 0:40I am formally launching just Joey Travels, which is my brand
- 0:47new travel advisory business. One person shop over here and so
- 0:53excited to get this off the ground.
- 0:55So over on the gay Christian travel podcast this week, I
- 0:59talked a little bit about what is just Joey travels, a little
- 1:04about why I started it. But then I focus more on, you
- 1:08know, the just Joey travels advantage, like why should you
- 1:12use me for your travel needs? And also some of the things that
- 1:16I can help you with travel wise. But I wanted this episode to
- 1:21launch at the same time as that one because this one is where I
- 1:25want to talk a little, kind of zoom out a little bit and talk
- 1:29more about, you know, like why I started just joby travels, but
- 1:35also more about just my own journey into like starting
- 1:39businesses. For those people that are
- 1:43curious, by the way, I've got this.
- 1:46I've got this new arm. I just tapped it.
- 1:48I got this arm boom arm mount for my mic, which makes me look
- 1:54like a professional podcaster. Now, if you're not watching the
- 1:57video version of the podcast, what are you doing?
- 2:00Go over to my YouTube channel, Just Joey T and you can watch
- 2:04me. Actually, it's not that
- 2:06exciting. I got I rearrange a few things
- 2:08in the background like I said it would.
- 2:11I've got this backlight for the wall behind me now and I can
- 2:15switch colours on it from my phone.
- 2:17It's fancy. It's connected to the Internet.
- 2:19That means I'm going to get hacked eventually by having this
- 2:21stupid LED light. Yeah, but I, I cleaned up a
- 2:23little bit. The vitamins are no longer on
- 2:26this shelf behind me to the right.
- 2:29I've moved them just for just for this FM podcast, just for
- 2:35the video podcasting that I do because this was originally kind
- 2:40of the temporary podcast location.
- 2:43Now it's the permanent podcast location.
- 2:46I've got everything like set up perfectly as is.
- 2:49And this is officially the video podcast backdrop.
- 2:54This wall and this plant and this shelf.
- 2:58I mean, just vitamins in my prep, you know, like, you know,
- 3:03prep is something you should, we should be talking more about
- 3:05honestly. But yeah, I I need to put
- 3:07something on that second shelf from the top where I used to put
- 3:11my vitamins. They're now in a cabinet in my
- 3:13kitchen, but I don't know what to put there yet.
- 3:17I want to kind of put some. I was thinking I should maybe
- 3:19get one of those tiny little lights.
- 3:23What did they like? Like those like neon light up
- 3:25lights that like, say something. I was on the Harmony cruise in
- 3:30February and we're walking down some corridor past some
- 3:36staterooms and some as part of the door decor, they had a small
- 3:41sign. It was only maybe like 7 or 8
- 3:45inches in length, but it was like a sign to have like some
- 3:49word and it was done in that, in that what, what is it called?
- 3:52It's like a like a, like a light up Dion sign.
- 3:55The kinds that like shops have at like the front of their
- 4:00storefront to say where they're like open or close.
- 4:03Some sort of like neon tubing light thing.
- 4:06Maybe if it's not super expensive, I can get something
- 4:09that lights up that's like a light up sign for that shelf.
- 4:13Anyways, as usual, we're getting very, very distracted.
- 4:16I'm going to drink some water first.
- 4:23OK, there we go. That's, that's a big you didn't
- 4:25ask for, but water is important. Anyways.
- 4:27I'm just very excited about finally launching the business.
- 4:31I talked a little bit about on the other side why I started it.
- 4:34And basically it's because, you know, like travel really has
- 4:38changed my life and I wanted to be able to take that feeling and
- 4:48also that desire to help others. And also with my kind of travel
- 4:56skills and experience, I just feel like I can help other
- 4:59people just have the same kind of positive transformative
- 5:06experience that I've gotten from travelling that I met.
- 5:11Sometimes I'll meet people that come up to me mostly on cruises,
- 5:16sometimes at like events and they say, oh, are you Joey?
- 5:20I've watched your YouTube videos and like, oh, I just bought my
- 5:24first cruise because of you or like things like that.
- 5:27So in some like small minute way, I feel like some of the
- 5:31work I've been doing on YouTube over the years have had that
- 5:35effect. And in a way, I'm this is kind
- 5:40of sort of like a light bulb like dud, why didn't I think of
- 5:45this before moment? So yeah, so here we are.
- 5:49Now sometimes people will DM or calling me and be like thinking
- 5:53that I can help them with their Atlantis booking, but I can't
- 5:57because not before anyways. But now that I'm like a proper
- 6:00travel advisory with like everything set up, I can
- 6:04actually help people with hey, booking and Atlantis cruise, for
- 6:08example, or like, hey, I can get you like flights in the hotels
- 6:11to go somewhere. But part of that is infused
- 6:15with, you know, like the knowledge and experience that I
- 6:17have going on all these gay cruises, visiting all these
- 6:22different cities, going to all these events.
- 6:25And that's my specialty. You know, travel advisors all
- 6:29have kind of like the niche and specialty.
- 6:31For example, there are travel advisors that focus on Disney
- 6:36vacations, Disney vacations, like a really big thing and
- 6:40Disney, the Disney theme parks, Disneyland, Disney World, Disney
- 6:45cruises. They also have cruise lines.
- 6:47You know, that's a niche because it takes like specialized
- 6:50knowledge to know how all the Disney stuff works.
- 6:53And so for me, it's like the Atlanta stuff.
- 6:57It's one of my biggest niches for just joy travels because you
- 7:03know, it takes, it takes. It's like a niche within a
- 7:07niche. I feel like cruising is a niche
- 7:11and Atlantis cruises are a niche within that niche.
- 7:16So because I know so much about the Atlantis cruises, I feel
- 7:19like very naturally it was a niche that I can leverage my
- 7:25experience in to really help people.
- 7:28Because for me, it's sometimes hard to picture how much of A
- 7:34niche it is. Because for me, an Atlantis
- 7:37cruise, if there's a lots crew sailing like in 24 hours and and
- 7:42somehow I got booked onto it, which is like not realistic, but
- 7:45like just hypothetically, if there's randomly a brand new
- 7:48Atlantis cruise tomorrow that I could go on that I had like a
- 7:52booking for, I can just like within 24 hours get myself ready
- 7:55and go on and have a very enjoyable cruise.
- 7:58But that's only because I've done so many cruises with them
- 8:02before and I know exactly how it works.
- 8:06The last, like when I go on to an Atlantis cruise, when I step
- 8:10on board, especially if it's a ship that I have sailed before,
- 8:13like the physical ship, it just feels like a second home.
- 8:17Well, second home after Terminal 7 at LAX airport or the
- 8:22international terminal at LAX airport because I go to those
- 8:25terminals so often. The International terminal and
- 8:28the Terminal 7 were united as those are like when I go to
- 8:31those terminals, like I know where everything is.
- 8:34I know where all the water refill stations are.
- 8:37I know where all the lounges are.
- 8:39I know everything because I just go there too much.
- 8:42But yeah, like, you know, like whenever I go onto Orlandis
- 8:44cruise, I step on board and it's like, yeah, just feels like
- 8:47everything feels very fresh, but also very familiar and
- 8:51comfortable at the same time. But because I'm so comfortable
- 8:55familiar with cruising of Orlandis cruises, I sometimes
- 8:59forget like how novel it is when it's like your first or even
- 9:05like second or third time going on a cruise and how much of A
- 9:11parallel alternate universe it is when you go onto a cruise and
- 9:15especially a gay cruise and Atlantis cruise.
- 9:19This cruising by itself already has its own like terminology,
- 9:24like port, port size, starboard and like it has its own set of
- 9:28procedures that is like very unique to cruising.
- 9:32And like sometimes the circumstances are very
- 9:34different, just the cruising experience.
- 9:36They're very different from like another type of travel that you
- 9:40do. It's just so special just for so
- 9:43many different reasons, right? You know, like you're out in the
- 9:46middle of the ocean kind of sort of like away from that in the
- 9:48middle of nowhere. And obviously that's very
- 9:51different, the ship itself and there's nothing like it on land.
- 9:54So then you put on top of that all the gay gay cruising stuff,
- 10:01which is all, you know, specialized for a cruise ship.
- 10:05You know, some of the gay stuff on Atlantis cruise, yes, there's
- 10:09a parallel to it on like on land, but some of it is very
- 10:12specific to like the cruise format, if you will.
- 10:16So I kind of almost take it for granted because I'm so used to
- 10:20it, but that's really one area where I feel like I can help
- 10:26people that are newer to the experience.
- 10:29But I love, I go on so many Atlantis cruises, but I love
- 10:32doing them. I really love doing them.
- 10:34Like I wouldn't have given them so much money over all these
- 10:37years and booked so many cruises if I didn't like it.
- 10:42And you know, as far as I can tell, the vast majority of
- 10:45people that go on their first Atlantis cruise, they tend to
- 10:48want to go on another one because it's a really, it's a
- 10:52really great experience. Nothing is perfect, obviously,
- 10:55but you know, I, I definitely can see and have heard of some
- 11:01feedback where not that the cruise is bad, but like, because
- 11:06the cruise is such a different experience and you've never been
- 11:09on a cruise before. And also a gay cruise is not
- 11:13quite the same experience as a regular cruise.
- 11:16That it could be overwhelming to go on your first gay cruise or
- 11:22your first Atlantis cruise kind of, but you go into a kind of
- 11:26blind, right, like sometimes, like, you know, sometimes you
- 11:28kind of just have to dive right in.
- 11:29There's, there's the first time for everything.
- 11:32So for some people it could be a bit overwhelming.
- 11:37And you know, most people, for most people, they still have
- 11:41like a positive experience. But one of the very common
- 11:46questions is the common question that when I used to do YouTube
- 11:49videos of like David and Jeremy, you would have seen them in some
- 11:52of my YouTube videos. And it's also sometimes
- 11:55something we talk about with other people that are like new
- 11:57cruisers that we get to hang out with every so often.
- 12:00We all this, the question always comes up.
- 12:02The topic discussion is always what's like the one tip that
- 12:06seasoned Atlantis cruisers would give to new cruisers?
- 12:12That comes up all the time with us for some reason, especially
- 12:14with me. And I've got I can write an FM
- 12:17book, OK. That's why I do so many advice
- 12:19videos on my YouTube and that's why I have the the gay Cruise
- 12:23and travel podcast because I've got so much advice.
- 12:25But you know, one of the top advice I give is to pace
- 12:28yourself because you go onto this cruise, you've never been
- 12:33on a cruise before. So but every, everything's a
- 12:36novelty. Everything is a novelty, even
- 12:40the novelty of like going into a restaurant and not having a bill
- 12:44to pay. It's like weird the first time
- 12:47you do it. But there's going to be
- 12:48restaurants that are complimentary that are free and
- 12:51the restaurants that are specialty restaurants that are
- 12:54most ships that are paid you can go into, you know, like the main
- 12:57dining on a lot of ships. It's yeah, proper dining tables,
- 13:01got tablecloth. You get like your proper 3
- 13:04course meal. They're like waiters bring you
- 13:05food. There's a menu you order from,
- 13:07and then at the end, you just like, get up and leave.
- 13:10It just feels weird. It feels like a diamond dash,
- 13:13you know, sometimes little things like that.
- 13:16Yeah. But I just think I have so much
- 13:19to offer, especially for those new or newer cruisers, not just
- 13:23in terms of like navigating them through the booking experience,
- 13:28but also just like give them tips on, Hey, make sure you get
- 13:32to the port city the at least a day before the ship set sail.
- 13:38Because you know, like if your flight's delayed or cancelled or
- 13:40like if just traffic or whatever, like and you like
- 13:43missed the, you're late for the cruise, you might not get on.
- 13:48And that's going to be like the bummer of all bummers.
- 13:52So, so like, it's kind of like little things like that.
- 13:55And it's great that I have a YouTube channel where I can
- 14:00dispense videos and a lot of people watch them, but there's
- 14:06nothing quite like having someone who can actually guide
- 14:11you one-on-one through the process, right?
- 14:14A lot of people, some of the videos that do particularly well
- 14:18on my channel are like the advice videos.
- 14:20People like to watch what I call the after movies, which is like
- 14:23when I vlog, when I go on a cruise and you kind of get like
- 14:28a, you get the highlights or like a summary of the cruise.
- 14:30Those are like the after movies. Those are like the most popular
- 14:33ones by far, but then the second most popular ones are the ones
- 14:37where I talk about the cruise experience and I give some
- 14:41advice on how to do a cruise. And that's those are the types
- 14:45of comments and DMS I get the most.
- 14:48It's people that want to go on a cruise or like our newer
- 14:51cruisers and like they just don't know how everything works.
- 14:55It's like it's such a weird kind of foreign concept to them.
- 15:02They watch some of my videos or they read some stuff on the
- 15:05West. It's like, Oh yeah, a gay cruise
- 15:06sounds great. They know nothing about
- 15:08cruising. They don't know how to book it.
- 15:10They don't know how to choose a stateroom.
- 15:12They don't know which cruise they should go on.
- 15:14Even after that, they don't know like the how a cruise port
- 15:19operates and like, you know, all that stuff, like the list goes
- 15:22on and on. So that's where I think that's
- 15:25going to be a advantage of, you know, booking with just Joey
- 15:29Travels is yeah, someone can, you know, I've been, I've
- 15:33actually booked Atlantis cruises with another travel agent
- 15:36before. And this was like way, way, way
- 15:38back. It was like for like my second
- 15:39or third cruise and like I was going with friends and like, I,
- 15:42I think they just said like, Oh yeah, book with this person.
- 15:45So I, I did it back then, you couldn't book Atlantis cruise by
- 15:48yourself on didn't have the online reservation system yet.
- 15:53This was like years ago. And you have to call up Atlantis
- 15:56or you have to like e-mail Atlantis or you can go to their
- 15:58travel advisor. And this advisor like booked me
- 16:02and like that was all I wanted from it.
- 16:04But I just see potential for like, yes, I mean, if all you
- 16:08wanted me to do is just to like book your room and like that's
- 16:11all you needed, I can do that for you.
- 16:14But like, like I said, the Atlantis website also has like
- 16:18the reservation system, the online reservation system that
- 16:21people can go on and book a room itself.
- 16:23If you know exactly what cruise you want to go on.
- 16:27And been you've been on tons of cruises before and you know you
- 16:32want to go on this specific cruise and you know what the
- 16:34type of room you want and you know which part of the ship you
- 16:37want your room to be in and you just want to do it all yourself.
- 16:41Yeah, just go do that. I'm not trying to like get
- 16:46everyone to book through me. That's not really the that's
- 16:51never been the intent. And that's not the concept for
- 16:55just Joey Travels is really focusing more on the people that
- 16:59want or need or could benefit from like my expertise and
- 17:06having that one-on-one experience.
- 17:09That's where that those are the people that I want to reach out
- 17:14and those are the people that I want to help.
- 17:17So the frequent cruisers out there, like you've already done
- 17:20the online self reservation, whatever thing, it's not my
- 17:25target demographic, it's not my target client base, if you will.
- 17:32So, but yeah, I'm super excited to be able to do this.
- 17:35And I also wanted to make sure that I, but I, I do a lot of
- 17:40travel outside of cruises. I think some people just think I
- 17:42go on cruises all the time. I, I done more trips not for
- 17:47cruises than for cruises in aggregate if I look over like my
- 17:50travel history. So I love to also be able to
- 17:54take the experience I have visiting so many different
- 17:58cities and having attended all these different events, whether
- 18:02that's like a music festival or like a pride event or whatever
- 18:06it whatever it is. And also being able to help
- 18:11people with that too. Except I use in the Gay Cruise
- 18:14podcast was like go to Bangkok if you want to go to Bangkok
- 18:17before Song Cram, which is like the Thai New Year that happens
- 18:20in April or you've heard about White Party Bangkok, which is
- 18:24the New Year's gay music festival that happens every
- 18:28year. It's produced by Blue, which one
- 18:31of our friends. But you know, maybe you've never
- 18:33traveled internationally before or like you've never been to
- 18:36Thailand before, you've never been to Bangkok and you don't
- 18:40really know like the lay of the land over there.
- 18:41Like I've been there. Like, so I don't even know how
- 18:43many times I've been over there in Bangkok, obviously, but yeah,
- 18:47someone can like call me and be like, hey, I'm interested in
- 18:50going to Bangkok for like this event at this time.
- 18:52And like that. That's where like really the
- 18:55value add is. You know, any travel advisor can
- 18:59log into a system and book you into a random hotel or put you
- 19:03on a random flight or kind of reserve a stateroom on a random
- 19:08cruise. But you know, you can do that
- 19:12yourself like it's 2025, like you can do that yourself.
- 19:16If if you knew exactly what you wanted to book, you can just go
- 19:19online and book it. The value add in a travel
- 19:22advisor is all the skills and experience and how they're
- 19:25making your life easier, right? You know, if you are OK with
- 19:32booking a room yourself at a hotel, let's say, but you're
- 19:35going somewhere that you're not familiar with, you're going to
- 19:37spend a lot of time looking up different hotels, which area you
- 19:41should be staying in, but not really having like a good feel.
- 19:45But you don't have, you've never been there, you know the area,
- 19:47right? But you know, using that Bangkok
- 19:49example, I know I've been there so many times, it's very easy
- 19:53for me to say based on what you want to do and where you want to
- 19:56go in Bangkok, I'd be like, OK, let's focus on these particular
- 20:00neighborhoods. And I already know most likely
- 20:03in these neighborhoods, these are some of the hotels that I
- 20:05would recommend for your budget and for your needs and wants.
- 20:08You could eventually get to that by yourself on Google or ChatGPT
- 20:13or whatever. It's probably going to take you
- 20:15some time. Right AI eventually might take
- 20:18over the world. Maybe yes, maybe no, but until
- 20:21AI does you have just Joey travels.
- 20:24So there you go yeah, but I'm just so excited to get this one
- 20:29like off the ground. I've been working on this for
- 20:33the better part of a year. Actually a little bit of tea
- 20:37when I I started the gay crews and travel podcast right around
- 20:42the time that I was taking the right around the time I was
- 20:47starting just Joey travels like the very beginnings of it
- 20:50because the a lot of companies that have blogs.
- 20:56Yeah, it's very common for a company to blog about things.
- 20:59It's part it's marketing. It's part of the marketing
- 21:00strategy. Let's just be straight up about
- 21:02it. So instead of doing blogs like
- 21:05written content, which I've tried to do before personally on
- 21:09on on like just my own, having a own Just Joey T website that
- 21:14just never stuck with me. But podcasting, I think I've
- 21:18been podcasting for like 2 years now in some way, shape or form.
- 21:21I'm very talkative. So podcasting was like the
- 21:23perfect format for me to like replace a blog.
- 21:27And when I decided to split off all the travel crew stuff into
- 21:32its own podcast, that was actually part of the strategy to
- 21:38be aligned with Just Joey Travel's the company because
- 21:45that it just made more sense that way.
- 21:49So that's why I kind of stopped talking about all the travel
- 21:52stuff on this podcast and I just made it all into its own
- 21:56separate travel specific podcast because that podcast was
- 21:59supposed to be complimentary and go with the just Jolie Travels
- 22:04website. The business.
- 22:07But just to retravel is it's taken pretty much all year so
- 22:11far, like the better part of the year so far to actually get
- 22:13started and to actually like get everything set up.
- 22:16There are quite a few states that have these called seller of
- 22:19travel laws, California, Washington state, Florida and
- 22:23also Hawaii. And I had to like do a lot of
- 22:27work to like set up various financial things, you know, bank
- 22:31accounts, the registration licenses, things like that.
- 22:35So that's just one example. Obviously, whenever you start
- 22:37any sort of business, there's like things in the back,
- 22:39administrative, logistical things you have to set up.
- 22:41So I did a lot of that. A lot of it was just doing a lot
- 22:43of research for me. It's like, I know it's a new
- 22:46industry that I'm going into and, and I am a frequent
- 22:52cruiser, frequent traveller, but like, I also need to know like
- 22:57the travel advisory side, like that other side of the travel
- 23:00industry, which I'm new to. So I'm very like aware of that.
- 23:04I definitely want to be able to like walk before I run.
- 23:08So I do have a bunch of the accesses now.
- 23:12So that, that's great. And that took a bit of time to
- 23:15get set up. Yeah.
- 23:16But I'm just so, so excited about this.
- 23:18I'm so excited that I get to talk about it in public now.
- 23:22I was kind of talking about every so often on the podcast,
- 23:25I'll talk about, oh, like this thing I've been working on
- 23:28that's like, I, I can't talk about it yet because like, it's
- 23:30not finished, just like whatever secret thing.
- 23:34And I hate when people repeatedly talk about bringing
- 23:37up something that they can't talk about.
- 23:40I just find it annoying. And I, I noticed I've been doing
- 23:42it. So it's like, OK, it's, it's, we
- 23:45need to stop talking about it until we're launching.
- 23:47And now we're launching. So I'm calling this a soft
- 23:49launch because I know there are my podcasts don't get the most
- 23:56listeners. I'm fine with that, you know,
- 23:59But for the three of you that's listening, Just Joey Travels has
- 24:03launched. You can go to
- 24:04justjoeytravels.com. You still have the Just Joey
- 24:06Travels Instagram. I'll link things down below.
- 24:09Yeah. But later on, once I've kind of
- 24:13maybe like gone my first few clients, I'm going to do a
- 24:17proper YouTube video, not the video podcast episodes, but I'm
- 24:21going to do a proper YouTube video to do like I feel like
- 24:27launching a business like a bit like with just Joey Travels.
- 24:32I don't feel like it's not like the older days or it's not like
- 24:35a storefront. We're like, oh, on Monday we're
- 24:38going to open the doors for the first time and like you go from
- 24:41like zero to 100. I feel like with just Joey
- 24:45travels, there's not like one particular launch where we go
- 24:50from zero to 100. Yes, it is now publicized and
- 24:53out there and not kept in secret anymore.
- 24:56But you know, I feel like it's got gradual ramp for this.
- 25:01So in in the near future, I'm going to do like a proper
- 25:04YouTube video on my YouTube channel where I sit in front of
- 25:08camera and talk more about the business.
- 25:12And I'm going to start regularly posting on the gesture we
- 25:14travels Instagram channel as well.
- 25:19But yeah, I'm kind of like, fingers crossed.
- 25:21I this is like some brand new thing for me.
- 25:23I don't know how it's going to go.
- 25:25I'm very optimistic and I believe in myself.
- 25:28The amount of self belief it takes to start your own business
- 25:30is crazy. I'm trying to start 2 businesses
- 25:34at the same time. I talked about this briefly.
- 25:36I'm also trying to start the skin care line.
- 25:39I, I kind of sort of botched the initial launch, which wasn't
- 25:42really like done quite properly in the sense that I didn't know
- 25:45how to market a whole company by myself.
- 25:48But with the second go around, I have a marketing agency that
- 25:52I've hired to help me with that. And then we should hopefully see
- 25:55that later this year. So that that's the next thing.
- 25:58I must be crazy for trying to like launch two businesses at
- 26:00the same time. I was on AI and I was actually I
- 26:05was actually helping it. I was I've been having AID Co
- 26:09some of my dreams. So I always get this dream where
- 26:13I'm lost. It's like I'm in some sort of
- 26:15location. I'm in some sort of setting
- 26:18that's not like a complete unfamiliar type of setting.
- 26:22Like one time I was in like a hotel.
- 26:24I don't know what hotel it was, but like I was in like the hotel
- 26:27like a lobby or like a public areas of a whole, like a large
- 26:29hotel, like something in the Vegas or I'm in like a shopping
- 26:33mall, not places that I frequent, but it's like like a
- 26:37hotel, like hotels or a regular place, a shopping mall.
- 26:41It's like a very regular place. Or maybe it's like a school or
- 26:43some school I've been to before, some sort of like large, huge
- 26:47building. I'm inside that building and I'm
- 26:50always like, OK, I need to go to this place.
- 26:55And like in the dream I'll be like trying to get to the place,
- 26:58but like that direction I'm going in.
- 27:02Like I think it's the right direction, but like, it's almost
- 27:06like the building. I should know the building, but
- 27:10it's like I've been to this mall or I've been to this hotel or
- 27:12I've been to this school, but like things are not in the
- 27:17location that they're supposed to be or where I expect.
- 27:20And I keep trying to find my way to the destination and it's
- 27:26almost like a, it's almost like a maze in the sense that like I
- 27:29thought I was going the right direction, but I'm not.
- 27:31And I never get to the destination.
- 27:34I had this other dream more recently where I was a passenger
- 27:38on a plane. OK.
- 27:40And I'm like looking left and like I can see out the window
- 27:43and we're like taking off. And when you're taking off, you
- 27:46can see like the plane out the window, like lifting off the
- 27:49ground. And you're like, you're pointing
- 27:51up and like you're moving away from the ground.
- 27:53But just like a few seconds later the plane starts like
- 27:57going down in the sense that out the window I can see, oh, we're
- 28:01not climbing away from the ground.
- 28:03We're like we're descending into the ground.
- 28:07There's no noise or no, no whatever.
- 28:10It's just like we're going up, but now we're going down and the
- 28:14plane goes down. And it's also like swerving to
- 28:17the right as if like it's trying to do like an evasive maneuver,
- 28:21but then it's going towards the ground, but it doesn't hit the
- 28:24ground. And then we start climbing
- 28:25again. We start climbing and then we
- 28:28start going back down. And then the Dreamcast sort of
- 28:30ends after that. So I plugged that into the AI
- 28:35and the AI said, yeah, it, it, it looks like it's, I forgot
- 28:40exactly. Because like when you type
- 28:41something, AI gives you like fucking 10 paragraphs,
- 28:44basically. Long story short, it's all
- 28:46connected. You'll be according to AI, it's
- 28:49all connected to me trying to like launch these new
- 28:53businesses. It's like, and the, and the
- 28:58symbolism is the plane climbing and taking off from the ground.
- 29:02It's like my vision and hope for the businesses.
- 29:06And the fact that it descends means that I have a fear that
- 29:11the business won't work out. And the fact that it's like a
- 29:15repeating oscillating thing. It's like, oh, it's climbing one
- 29:18moment, then it's like about the crash in the ground, then it's
- 29:21climbing, then it's descending. I think it's that that means
- 29:26it's, I forget exactly what I'm saying, but it made a lot of
- 29:31sense. It made a lot of sense to AI
- 29:33somehow. So yeah, I'm trying to start to
- 29:36these two businesses. One of the suggestions to AI
- 29:39that was like, could you maybe like, you know, put one of them
- 29:43on a hold and like while you launch the other one?
- 29:46And in my head, I'm like, no, I don't think I'm going to do that
- 29:50In in retrospect, I probably should have staggered the
- 29:51launches of the thing. But with the skin care thing,
- 29:54it's kind of on a timeline that I don't have full control over
- 29:59for like weird reasons. And with just Joey Travels, it
- 30:02just happens that it was like, now that I got everything set up
- 30:09to the point where like, OK, we're actually ready for launch
- 30:12now. So I didn't necessarily want to
- 30:16just like have the travel business just like sit there not
- 30:20doing anything. So I thought, yeah, we'll, we'll
- 30:23launch the travel business now. And then the skin care, it's on
- 30:27like a more rigid, less flexible timeline.
- 30:30It's probably going to come in like November or December.
- 30:33So there you go. A lot of businesses starting up.
- 30:37That means there will be more ads.
- 30:39That means going forward, there'll be more ads on this
- 30:42podcast for just Joey Travels, so get ready for that.
- 30:48All right, until the next time, bye y'all.
