- 0:49Speaker 1: Oh, I am so excited.
- 0:51Speaker 1: We are going to be listening to your cues.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Listening to your cues, I am so excited.
- 0:58Speaker 1: We've got 19 cues that we're going to be listening to, ranging from comedic to sound design to horror and man.

- 1:24Speaker 1: Did I say Dex already?
- 1:25Speaker 1: We've got Shannon, mrs 52 cues also hanging in the chat.

- 1:46Speaker 1: Hope you're all doing well.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And before we get started, I'm going to put this in the YouTube chat here, but the link to for voting and this isn't like a vote for your favorite kind of a thing no, that's not how we are, that's not how we're voting.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We're voting on what do you like, what do you think, are there cues that you want to show some love to?
- 2:13Speaker 1: And so, by doing that, what we're doing is it's a five star system, five stars, and we're going to be listening through all of these.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And so what I want you to do is, as you are actively listening, if you're watching on the archive, hopefully within the next couple of days or so, pull up the link.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's at bitly slash, 52 C Fright Night, and, as you're listening, give it a five stars, one to five, five being the best, one being not my favorite, all right, and that's how I would like to do the vote.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So it's not which do you think is the winner, it is which do you like.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And that's how we are doing the voting.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I guess, technically it is not that call like rank choice voting.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I think it's good to see we've got some more folks hanging out in the chat.

- 7:16Speaker 1: They've already made air.
- 7:17Speaker 1: They've already gotten air on the NFL on CBS.

- 7:42Speaker 1: Good to see Rolf man.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Good to see Ralph.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Good to see Simon.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Good to see Gary Welcome Gary.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Good to see oh, it's a full sale folks chilling out and hanging.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Did I get everybody, linda?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's going to be a great week.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It's going to be a great afternoon.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So what we are doing is we are going to to check out each of the types of cues and we have three categories that we are writing to.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Okay, so we are writing comedic tension, just kind of dramedy.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So we're going to start at light and then create creative and sound design cues, and then, finally, the horror tension cues, and anybody who knows me and Shannon Mrs 52 cues can can attest to this.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm a big fat chicken and I get freaked out really easily, so so if you see me turn on all of the lights all of a sudden, it's because I got really freaked out.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Right, got really freaked out.
- 8:48Speaker 1: That's happened more than once, absolutely.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm a little worried.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm a little worried about what happens, but we're going to start nice and easy.
- 8:58Speaker 1: We're going to start it nice and easy with our comedic tension category.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And, again, if you haven't already, we're going to put this chat link there in the chat.
- 9:08Speaker 1: If you've not already, pull up your scorecard and get ready to listen to the cues.
- 9:15Speaker 1: And we are first starting out with Ralph Oleski.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Ralph Oleski says this is an older cue that was always meant for Halloween.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Just have it hanging around, modeled a little bit from Danny Elfman.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So let's take a listen to Dancing Bones.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Anybody want to finish?
- 11:20Speaker 1: All right, that was Ralph Olesky with Dancing Bones.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Oh man, ralph, thank you so much for sending that along.
- 11:27Speaker 1: And if that's something, if you dig it, why don't you hit over to the scorecard?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Let me actually pull that up here, the scorecard, and of a one one through five, entirely up to you.
- 11:40Speaker 1: What does five mean?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Well, that means I love it.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh, that was mind blowing.
- 11:45Speaker 1: What does one mean?
- 11:47Speaker 1: I mean maybe not a fan, which is, you know, totally okay, it's totally okay, all right.
- 11:55Speaker 1: So next up, we have demented waltz Waltz from Patrick Pinnock.
- 12:02Speaker 1: He's always wanted to do a waltz style Halloween track and thought, why not?
- 12:05Speaker 1: For this contest Took a while to get the mix right while deciding which instruments to push forward and which we're going to play a more background role.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Once the mix was done, mastering was quite straightforward.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Hope you enjoy.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So here is demented waltz.
- 12:21Speaker 1: All right, that was Patrick.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm not going to lie.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Oh man, yeah, that, knock that door, knock, that got to me.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm not going to lie.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm not going to lie.
- 14:39Speaker 1: That got to me.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Oh man, oh, mad about you, says mad about nothing, says it's only going to get worse.
- 14:48Speaker 1: It really this is the funny stuff?
- 14:50Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I can do it.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Shannon, will you come up and hold me if I get too scared?
- 14:56Speaker 1: Oh man, okay, all right.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Well, by the way, it's really good to see we got some new folks hanging out in the chat.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Ralph, oh, really really good to see you and mad about nothing.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you so much, all right, so that was demented.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Waltz All right.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Next up we have sleep unwisely from Alan Moore.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Alan says, written for Halloween last year and based around the base clarinet, which gives the piece a slight quirky comedic nature.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I think An insistent snare drum gives a march like feel the obligatory spooky ooze and ahs arrive towards the end.
- 15:33Speaker 1: All right, if you listen to sleep unwisely.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Okay, alright, got one.
- 17:31Speaker 2: All right, that was Alan Moore with Sleep Unwisely.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Alan, thank you so much for sending that along.
- 17:50Speaker 1: We had a question in the chat Is it a problem if I put everything as a five?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Well, shannon, mrs 52Q, says well, we'll just have a 15-way tie or 19-way tie and you can change these kind of after the fact.
- 18:06Speaker 1: So yeah, these have all been absolutely fantastic, which is why I'm glad that I'm not voting on these, because I don't know if I could do that.
- 18:15Speaker 1: But really really well done.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Thank you so much, alan, for sending that along.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Next up we have Nathan with Bonesaw Lullaby.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Nathan says I was originally going for an Adam's Family kind of vibe with Harpsichord and Theramon and planned to somehow incorporate Trombone.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Once I landed on the Bonesaw Lullaby title, it became apparent I needed to add a Power Saw because, as we know, trombone plus Power Saw equals Lullaby.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Obviously All right.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So here is Nathan Toft with Bonesaw Lullaby.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Move Important.
- 20:31Speaker 1: All right, that was Bonesaw Lullaby from Nathan.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Nathan, thank you so much for sending that along.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Really enjoyed.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, who knew who knew Power Saw was such a powerful voice and in dramedy?
- 20:44Speaker 1: But really do appreciate it All right.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Next up we have Enrico.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Enrico, who I know is hanging out in the chat, the purveyor of all things Italian coffee.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, enrico, I need to up my Lovato.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I'm out so I had to dip into my Starbucks.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is not Italian coffee, but it's really good to have you with us.
- 21:05Speaker 1: This is Haunted Ska Review.
- 21:08Speaker 1: And Enrico says an attempt at Circus Macabre that is not in three, four or two, four and, yes, an excuse to dig deep in my libraries for Halloween capers.
- 21:19Speaker 1: So here is Haunted Ska Review.
- 21:23Speaker 1: All right, I was in Rico with haunted ska review In Rico.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sending that along.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a ton of fun.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Man, that was a ton of fun and good to see some new folks hanging out in the chat.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Good to see you.
- 23:36Speaker 1: What is good?
- 23:38Speaker 1: We got Jeff LaPlante.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I don't think I gave you a shout out.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Boost a Kid.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Really good to see you.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Thank you so, so much.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And Van Kraken Gaming says my mom played the accordion.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Well, that's awesome.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I had a gig a couple of weekends ago and they used an electric accordion.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I didn't know that Roland makes accordions electric accordions like they make electronic drum sets Great.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So thank you once again for sending that along.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Next up we have Mikhail Pasilage, who sent along Cemetery Circus.
- 24:10Speaker 1: He says this was the first time I've been making a cue of this genre.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I think it's not very scary in the end, more like a music for sad bear circus show.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Oh man, that story got sad.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I used to.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I used that for the title at least.
- 24:28Speaker 1: All right, so let's take a listen.
- 24:30Speaker 1: This is Cemetery Circus.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Off, we go, transportations.
- 24:37Speaker 1: See you next time.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Alright, that was Cemetery Circus from Michal.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 26:29Speaker 1: That was fantastic.
- 26:30Speaker 1: That slow gluro.
- 26:31Speaker 1: My right ear really enjoyed that.
- 26:33Speaker 1: That was so good.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Great title too.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Really really nice.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Nice.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I tell you.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You guys voting, you have your work cut out for you.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I'm going to go ahead and put that link once again in the chat.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Bitly slash 5 2 C Fright Night.
- 26:50Speaker 1: 52 Q's Fright Night or 5 2 C Fright Night.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Why don't you go vote?
- 26:56Speaker 1: Go vote.
- 26:56Speaker 1: This is going to be open, mrs 52 Q's.
- 27:00Speaker 1: How long is voting open?
- 27:01Speaker 1: I think until tomorrow.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I think we're going to have voting up until tomorrow.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, arco says everything's a 5.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, everything is a 5.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Alright, then, finally, rounding up the comedic tension, we have Linda Britton and says Linda says I had a strong image in my mind before starting this piece and I wanted to use a good combination of contrasting sounds, including strings, woodwind, harpsichord, organ and voices, as well as some opening sound design to set the atmosphere of a castle.
- 27:37Speaker 1: The newlywed couple are invited to tea with the count, a vampiric host who loves to entertain new visitors with tea and his harpsichord skills.
- 27:46Speaker 1: The unsuspecting guests arrive and are ushered into a large, resonant drawing room, the door of which slams noisily behind them.
- 27:56Speaker 1: The count echoes the chimes, catching the strings of the harpsichord with his long black and brittle fingernails.
- 28:05Speaker 1: With the flick of his coattails, he sits and begins to play.
- 28:09Speaker 1: The guests become entranced, beguiled by the innocent yet all-consuming resonances.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Here is tea with the count.
- 28:21Speaker 1: That was Tea with the Count from Linda.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Linda, thank you so much for sending that along.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Really, really do appreciate you.
- 30:19Speaker 1: So that is the comedic tension.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So get to voting right now.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Get to voting right now and, if you want to maybe bookmark this and watch the archive a little bit later so you can kind of back things up and listen again.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah, would love to have you vote in the comedic tension category.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah, again, that's good luck voters.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Good luck voters.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Next up we have the creative sound design category.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Creative sound design.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Now, these are cues that aren't necessarily super scary, not necessarily super funny, but creative use of sound design elements going in, getting your hands dirty, not just off the shelf sounds.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That's what we are doing here in the creative sound design category.
- 31:19Speaker 1: And first up we have Mr Alan Moore with Unsettled Ambient, unsettling instrumental cue.
- 31:29Speaker 1: The music starts off out with an ethereal ambient mood and transitions into an unsettling mood as it progresses.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Here is Unsettled.
- 31:39Speaker 1: That was Unsettled by Alan Moore.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Alan, thank you so much for sending that along for so many interesting textures and everything going on with that one.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Next up we have Enrico with Haunting Lamentations Boutique.
- 33:33Speaker 1: He says A collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made, mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal To deliver a rather unpleasant experience.
- 33:47Speaker 1: One hopes ten points for each correctly identified original sample.
- 33:52Speaker 1: This is Haunting Lamentations Boutique.
- 33:57Speaker 1: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.
- 34:13Speaker 1: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.

- 34:58Speaker 2: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.
- 35:19Speaker 2: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.

- 35:50Speaker 1: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.
- 36:02Speaker 1: This is a collection of what were originally pretty sound recordings I made mangled through the darker, deeper recesses of Reason's Sonic Arsenal.
- 36:13Speaker 1: This is a collection piece and used all the tracks I was developing, so I think it fits in the creative category.
- 36:22Speaker 1: But I'm not the judge.
- 36:24Speaker 1: No, you are the judge.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Welcome to Friday Night.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Did you go?
- 36:45Speaker 3: Sound design, orchestral or comedy, four or three?
- 36:56Speaker 3: I mean sound design is pretty cool.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Hello.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Of course some people find that a bit scary and go orchestral or keep it fun with comedy.
- 37:31Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to a funny evening of the tracks and to make this comedy 30.
- 37:49Speaker 3: So it's an entry.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I suppose I could just put some echo and reverb on an audio track.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That was 52 Ghouls from Dex.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Oh man, dex, I appreciate you, my man.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been really great hanging with Dex.
- 38:13Speaker 1: It was in the mastermind this past.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Yeah, enrico wants to know where.

- 38:42Speaker 1: All right, that was Catechisms from Mike.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Mike, really, really appreciate you, man.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Linda, jason X meets the Exorcist.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and Mike, is that in the wrong category?
- 40:40Speaker 1: If you will reach out to Shannon, if that's in the wrong category, but it was submitted during that.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I was not.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I'm worried, guys, I'm worried, I'm straight up worried.
- 40:50Speaker 1: But why don't you head over and vote?
- 40:55Speaker 1: Vote for the Q and again, you're not voting for the best on a grade of one to five and these are anonymous, right?
- 41:03Speaker 1: A grade of one of five, five being yes, this was 100%, loved it.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, one being not a fan or whatever.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You don't owe anybody an explanation.
- 41:13Speaker 1: This is how you feel.
- 41:13Speaker 1: It's all good.
- 41:14Speaker 1: It's not first past the post, it is ranked choice, and so that's what we are doing here today Ranked choice voting.
