- 0:06Speaker 1: Hey, bebs, I'm back. Part two. It's me Chris Farrah. Welcome.
- 0:10Speaker 1: This is Vanity Fair. It's ninety Day Fiance. It's season twelve,
- 0:13Speaker 1: episode twelve, So help me God, yay Part two. Okay,
- 0:21Speaker 1: my loves, Let's move forward, shall we. Okay, we have
- 0:27Speaker 1: already talked about Paula and Thomas and Marissa and Edward,
- 0:31Speaker 1: and we've already talked about Mito and Debbie. So we're
- 0:37Speaker 1: gonna pick up with Asha and Malcolm. So she's on
- 0:41Speaker 1: the phone with her friend Patricia, and Patricia can't have
- 0:43Speaker 1: time for this, honey. So you know, Patricia like probably
- 0:45Speaker 1: hangs up, but not before Asha was like, let's do
- 0:48Speaker 1: a quick prayer. And she's like, yeah, quick prayer. Oh no,
- 0:51Speaker 1: static just hangs up on her face. It's like sorry God,
- 0:55Speaker 1: but also God, you know that she's crazy. Sometimes I
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta just hang up. You have to really, you know,
- 1:01Speaker 1: sometimes be cognizant of the energy you're giving out. So
- 1:07Speaker 1: we have Rob and Asia's sisters in Nigeria at the hotel,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and as we know, Asha has gotten an airbnb, so
- 1:18Speaker 1: different places, and the driver doesn't have the address to
- 1:24Speaker 1: the airbnb, so Asha has to get on that for
- 1:28Speaker 1: them to come and is like, have you told my
- 1:30Speaker 1: family that anything? He's like no. We find out that
- 1:34Speaker 1: it's her two sisters and her mom's friend, which is
- 1:36Speaker 1: interesting because her two sisters look older than her mom's friend,
- 1:39Speaker 1: who should be older. Juliette her mom than all of them.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I found that interesting. Juliet is wearing like a pink
- 1:46Speaker 1: laced top, Honey, it looks super cute and it's like
- 1:52Speaker 1: a two piece, and then sorry, and then Asha's wearing
- 1:55Speaker 1: like a cute green leaf two piece. We meet her
- 1:58Speaker 1: sisters and it's Jacola and Glenna, and they're basically like
- 2:05Speaker 1: all our lives. She's been very bossy, Asia's very Katie like,
- 2:10Speaker 1: less making out. We think more the blood, the blood,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the blood, the blood. Every time Katie makes up in
- 2:18Speaker 1: with someone, Asha's saying the blood somewhere same people like
- 2:22Speaker 1: it's there is maybe just yeah, I guess there's a
- 2:24Speaker 1: repetitive repetitiveness. There's also a bossiness and a controllingness to
- 2:32Speaker 1: both people. Oh that's so interesting, and maybe a little
- 2:35Speaker 1: bit of an obsessiveness, maybe sort of like a tendency
- 2:42Speaker 1: to look outward and judge others without kind of bringing
- 2:46Speaker 1: that energy back to themselves, maybe both Katie and Asia. Okay,
- 2:54Speaker 1: So finally they get the driver to get the address
- 2:57Speaker 1: and they meet up at the airbnb. Now we also
- 2:59Speaker 1: realize like him and his family are gone, they're already
- 3:02Speaker 1: like at the event they're having, like a beach meet
- 3:04Speaker 1: up or whatever. So they have come to Ashia to
- 3:07Speaker 1: pick her up, and she, you know, is dancing around
- 3:15Speaker 1: the idea of the fact that they really want us
- 3:17Speaker 1: to know that she obviously has told Rob everything. Rob
- 3:20Speaker 1: hates all of this, and that she hasn't told her
- 3:22Speaker 1: sisters or this mom's friend. I don't know quite why
- 3:26Speaker 1: the mom's friend is so precious that she doesn't know
- 3:29Speaker 1: the mom knows, like Juliette knows that she's about to
- 3:32Speaker 1: marry Malcolm. So I don't understand why they're like, we
- 3:35Speaker 1: can't tell Juliette's friend. God forbid, we know what her
- 3:40Speaker 1: opinion is on the situation. Doesn't that seem weird to you? Also?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Are we supposed to subtly think that Asha and Rob
- 3:53Speaker 1: Rod Sorry, I'm going to say Rod and Rob. I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: going to go back and forth over and over again
- 3:58Speaker 1: for some reason with him and it's Rod. Okay, it's Rod,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but are we supposed to pick up on like subtle
- 4:08Speaker 1: sexual tension between Asia and Rod. I'm gonna have to
- 4:11Speaker 1: ask my reality gays this we are right, we're supposed
- 4:16Speaker 1: to sort of be like, why aren't you with each other?
- 4:19Speaker 1: You've grown up together, you both love God. You both
- 4:21Speaker 1: can you know, tell each other the real real like
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know your families love each other. You both know
- 4:29Speaker 1: each other. Have you both ever tried? He seems a
- 4:32Speaker 1: little older than her, but you know, I'm not saying
- 4:37Speaker 1: she should be attracted to him. But at the same time,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, okay, He's like, why are you keeping secrets?
- 4:50Speaker 1: And She's like, how dare you you think I'm pregnant?
- 4:54Speaker 1: How dare you? You know I'm a Christian lady to
- 4:58Speaker 1: think that I would be caring. Also, if I'm telling
- 5:02Speaker 1: you I'm not pregnant, just believe that. How dare you?
- 5:05Speaker 1: He's like, this doesn't make sense, doesn't make sense. Why
- 5:07Speaker 1: you would rush it. She's like, on, it's here already,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm already here. You know how hard it is to
- 5:11Speaker 1: get here. It's like exhausting. So I'm just like here
- 5:15Speaker 1: is am I get it done? I'm annoyed. Also, there's
- 5:17Speaker 1: also I think a part of Asia. If this is
- 5:19Speaker 1: all to be believed, that is like I'm on a crusade,
- 5:22Speaker 1: a christ crusade. I know what Christ wants, which is
- 5:27Speaker 1: coincidentally what I want, which is nice. And if you
- 5:31Speaker 1: go against what Christ wants, slash me, then I have
- 5:36Speaker 1: no no barrier between what I will do in this world,
- 5:44Speaker 1: this civilization, or what is normal for other people to think,
- 5:48Speaker 1: because my only job is to further Christ's and my agenda.
- 5:53Speaker 1: She's like God said, Maxwell and I are to get married.
- 5:58Speaker 1: How dare Nigeria or America or the visa process alone
- 6:04Speaker 1: stand in our way? So if the only way for
- 6:07Speaker 1: me to trump them and to get around this stupid
- 6:11Speaker 1: earth business is to get the spousal visa that I'm
- 6:15Speaker 1: going to, I don't care what it looks like. I've
- 6:18Speaker 1: already told you it's what God wants, slash me. And
- 6:21Speaker 1: so that's what's happened. Like it like it almost feels
- 6:23Speaker 1: like that kind of thing. I've never known, the amount
- 6:26Speaker 1: of confidence one would need to stand not only ten
- 6:32Speaker 1: toes down in whatever decision I want in my life,
- 6:35Speaker 1: but then all of God's being down behind me and
- 6:39Speaker 1: a decision. I think it sounds kind of great. Okay. Now,
- 6:47Speaker 1: of course Rod is like I get robo calls all
- 6:54Speaker 1: of a sudden. That's all Nigeria. That's all they do
- 6:57Speaker 1: is just sit there and robo call, which is funny
- 6:59Speaker 1: because usually robo calls are like AI voices. I guess
- 7:08Speaker 1: there's different ones, you know. Obviously, now we're in the
- 7:11Speaker 1: realm of like the funniest ones to get are they
- 7:13Speaker 1: like AI texts? Hey, moving back to Los Angeles? Can
- 7:20Speaker 1: we meet up again and talk? And it's like unknown
- 7:27Speaker 1: number as I'm supposed to be, like, oh my god,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I wonder if this was that one person one time,
- 7:31Speaker 1: or oh my god, at least someone from life is
- 7:35Speaker 1: texting me. I can't wait to find out if I
- 7:37Speaker 1: have a new friend. Like, you know, It's just it
- 7:39Speaker 1: is kind of a sad thing to think how many
- 7:40Speaker 1: people like get hooked in such a weird text phishing scam. Anyway,
- 7:47Speaker 1: I wonder how many times Rod's getting those texts and
- 7:50Speaker 1: is like writing back and then being like, oh a
- 7:52Speaker 1: Nigerian person again, Oh I thought it was my friend Matilda,
- 8:00Speaker 1: randomly just said to Matilda, who obviously was a lovely
- 8:04Speaker 1: nne of Day cast member from an African country, but
- 8:06Speaker 1: you know, I'm just I'm in my own mental realm. Okay.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So at this point, now we're all going to go
- 8:14Speaker 1: to the beach and have like a beautiful meetup with
- 8:18Speaker 1: his family, and there's gonna be like various bonfires behind them,
- 8:21Speaker 1: which coincidentally behind framing Asia and Maxwell makes them look
- 8:28Speaker 1: like they're in hell. There's literally flames behind them, which
- 8:31Speaker 1: I caught. I don't know if anyone else did. I'm
- 8:33Speaker 1: surprised that, like Rod didn't make conversation like you guys
- 8:37Speaker 1: have the flames of hell behind you, you know, I'm
- 8:39Speaker 1: quite sure or if you just thought that. Okay, So
- 8:49Speaker 1: Kathy is Juliet's friend, and yeah, Kathy just looks younger
- 8:51Speaker 1: than everyone else involved, and so I'm like, daw did
- 8:55Speaker 1: Juliet and Kathy meet? When Rod gets introduced to Maxwell
- 9:01Speaker 1: and Maxwell's family, he says down, he doesn't say much.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Juliette's like, Rob, what do you say? Which I found
- 9:07Speaker 1: that interesting because I know that Juliette knows that Rod thinks.
- 9:11Speaker 1: So why would Juliet want Rod to voice his opinion
- 9:16Speaker 1: knowing it's going to in fact be antagonastic antagonistic to
- 9:23Speaker 1: the situation, Unless Juliet wants back up to be like,
- 9:27Speaker 1: someone get my daughter to not do this. Juliet is
- 9:34Speaker 1: there and to me rather like guarded with her opinion.
- 9:45Speaker 1: She seemingly is supportive of her daughter. But if we're
- 9:50Speaker 1: also to believe that she has washed her hands of
- 9:52Speaker 1: trying to control her daughter, then she just goes along
- 9:55Speaker 1: with things because it's probably easier. And I would love
- 9:59Speaker 1: Juliette's like seecret agenda to be like I. Once Rod
- 10:02Speaker 1: gets here and Rod gets his opinion out there, I'm
- 10:05Speaker 1: just gonna hop on in. I need, you know, to someone,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and so I need like a backup or like an
- 10:14Speaker 1: offensive line front line. Then I go in after them.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Rod's like, I say, you charmed her good Maxwell and
- 10:26Speaker 1: her sisters are also like, it's weird that you didn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: tell us earlier so that we could be and then
- 10:30Speaker 1: they both say this at the same time prepared, And
- 10:34Speaker 1: in my mind it wasn't so much that they were
- 10:37Speaker 1: going to prepare some sort of like PowerPoint presentation of
- 10:40Speaker 1: why she shouldn't do this. I'm assuming that they meant
- 10:43Speaker 1: fashion wise, like how dare you not tell us that
- 10:48Speaker 1: we're coming abroad for a wedding? So that we can
- 10:53Speaker 1: bring appropriate fashion, because what would be the preparation you
- 11:00Speaker 1: would do besides packing to confront this. Like if my
- 11:08Speaker 1: cousin Monique was Asia and I was my cousin me
- 11:13Speaker 1: or Asia or you know, obviously her cousin slash sister
- 11:17Speaker 1: who was in this situation, and I was brought to
- 11:18Speaker 1: a country where now my cousin was like, guess what,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I'm getting married to someone? And I was like, how
- 11:24Speaker 1: dare you not tell me earlier so that I would
- 11:26Speaker 1: be prepared. That's not what I would do if I
- 11:31Speaker 1: didn't want her to get married. If I didn't want
- 11:34Speaker 1: her to get married, I would just start being like,
- 11:36Speaker 1: you can't get married, don't get married in that person? No,
- 11:38Speaker 1: you know, I'd be like, my first line of defense
- 11:41Speaker 1: would be then to try and get other people to
- 11:44Speaker 1: be on the same side as me, is that this
- 11:45Speaker 1: person shouldn't get married. I would try, you know, and
- 11:47Speaker 1: get her parents, her sisters, any other person that we
- 11:52Speaker 1: know to be like you're not doing this, talk or
- 11:53Speaker 1: out of it, yell at her, you know what it is,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but that's not what her sisters do. It does seem
- 11:57Speaker 1: like all her family walks around her like on egg shells,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and has it always been this way? Is it this way?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Because they all agree with her that she is a
- 12:11Speaker 1: prophet and they all believe her, so they're all like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: we can't it's really hard to argue with God slash
- 12:17Speaker 1: her or they just have allowed her to align herself
- 12:22Speaker 1: with God so many times that it's like just one
- 12:27Speaker 1: big personality trait that she's bossy and they allow it
- 12:32Speaker 1: and they don't think that she's a prophet. But like,
- 12:34Speaker 1: it's just annoying how to deal with her. Because if
- 12:39Speaker 1: someone in my family who was bossy and controlling and
- 12:42Speaker 1: always crazy and I just had to like walk around eggshells,
- 12:46Speaker 1: was also going around these streets being like I'm a
- 12:49Speaker 1: prophet of God and then also trying to use that
- 12:52Speaker 1: against me in situations I would often be like, no,
- 12:57Speaker 1: you're not. God does not want you to get your
- 13:02Speaker 1: way about where we're gonna go to dinner tonight, are
- 13:06Speaker 1: you no? God? No, I don't think God wants us
- 13:09Speaker 1: to go to sup plantation again. Also, you're crazy for
- 13:14Speaker 1: thinking that. I just feel like these sisters have had
- 13:21Speaker 1: to deal with so much on her behalf. I need
- 13:23Speaker 1: to know why why have they allowed it? Are they
- 13:25Speaker 1: also in the same church. Does Juliet go to that church?
- 13:32Speaker 1: Because if they all go to a different church, and
- 13:35Speaker 1: if they all know that she's using this god stuff
- 13:39Speaker 1: to further her agenda, and she's also a bossy person
- 13:42Speaker 1: by nature, why is no one calling her out? Why
- 13:47Speaker 1: is Rod the only person that has a voice? This
- 13:55Speaker 1: is weird. Also, why does Juliet have this one young friend?
- 14:00Speaker 1: And why is Juliette's friend there? Why wouldn't I don't
- 14:06Speaker 1: know her dad come out. There's like a billion questions
- 14:15Speaker 1: right like, and no answers. Okay, I'll tell you right now.
- 14:19Speaker 1: The answers could easily exist on her TikTok because she's
- 14:22Speaker 1: often on it and often live and I don't want
- 14:25Speaker 1: to know, I don't care, I don't know, I can't
- 14:29Speaker 1: watch it, okay. So basically she's like, listen now, they're
- 14:36Speaker 1: all here. Yes, we're getting married. And it's for the
- 14:39Speaker 1: reason why I was I have a good at spousal
- 14:41Speaker 1: because we got denied and I want this to didn't
- 14:44Speaker 1: be happening, and I want this to happen now. And
- 14:46Speaker 1: they're like, well, what happens if you still get denied?
- 14:50Speaker 1: And she's like, no, I didn't think about that, and no,
- 14:59Speaker 1: my mom what I want. Now. There's a lot of
- 15:04Speaker 1: different viewpoints here, and one viewpoint is that Maxwell's dad
- 15:11Speaker 1: is like, I want you to have them babies. I
- 15:13Speaker 1: want you to have two girls and two boys. And
- 15:14Speaker 1: she's like, well, I'm only gonna have two pregnancies, so
- 15:19Speaker 1: unless I have two sets of twins, that's the only way,
- 15:22Speaker 1: mathematically and god wise, we would both get what we want.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Rod's like, let me ask Maxwell some questions. What career
- 15:39Speaker 1: will you chase after once you're in America? And he's like, oh,
- 15:44Speaker 1: cars buyer seller, Like, oh, okay, you're gonna sell You're
- 15:50Speaker 1: gonna sell cars. I got like a lot what it is? Yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I mean you know, yeah, you can go to like Teyota, Alabama. Yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 1: get get a job. And then he's like that's what
- 16:06Speaker 1: I used to do here. But also my dad like
- 16:08Speaker 1: is an electrician, so I have grown up knowing how
- 16:12Speaker 1: wires work. And then it becomes a little awkward because
- 16:19Speaker 1: Rod says, well, I don't want you. I don't want
- 16:29Speaker 1: you to scam my god sister, because I know Nigerians,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you know, like scam people, and you what are you
- 16:37Speaker 1: going to do to like take care of you know,
- 16:40Speaker 1: American women who really expect there to be providers. And
- 16:44Speaker 1: he's like obviously offended by that, Maxwell, and then Rod's like,
- 16:49Speaker 1: how much do you have in your bank account? And
- 16:51Speaker 1: when he says that, honey, Maxwell's real fucking pissed. He's like,
- 16:56Speaker 1: Nigerians know how to work. Americans are lazy, and Rod's like,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you're talking about Americans are lazy. And then Maxwell's like,
- 17:03Speaker 1: you have machines do everything for you. We have no
- 17:06Speaker 1: machines here. Everything we do we do with our own hands.
- 17:09Speaker 1: We have to count, you know whatever. It is like
- 17:11Speaker 1: we're doing it. I can't wait to be in America
- 17:15Speaker 1: and use the machines. And It's like, well, it's interesting, truly, Yes,
- 17:18Speaker 1: of course, the machines. Like if you I don't know,
- 17:20Speaker 1: if you were to be you know, on a car
- 17:22Speaker 1: lot selling cars, as you know, car salesperson, you would
- 17:27Speaker 1: have your machines like your computer and you have to
- 17:29Speaker 1: like log all your things. But yeah, you would still
- 17:31Speaker 1: have to make the sale. Bec a machine isn't making
- 17:34Speaker 1: the sale, unless, of course, people buy cars online. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: don't really know, you know, I'm you know, it's like
- 17:40Speaker 1: yes and no, there's always this idea that once you
- 17:45Speaker 1: get something, the world opens up to you. And it's
- 17:49Speaker 1: interesting to see this play out through other people's mentalities too.
- 18:00Speaker 1: There's this sort of need to problem solve the world.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I've talked about this a lot, where then your mind
- 18:08Speaker 1: signs a certain like you know, justice, Okay, this than this, well,
- 18:12Speaker 1: this than this right, And it's hard to free yourself
- 18:15Speaker 1: of that because you can get locked into a certain
- 18:18Speaker 1: way of thinking, Uh, if I'm in America, I will
- 18:22Speaker 1: make enough money and I'll be able to you know,
- 18:24Speaker 1: like be whatever. And that might not, you know, obviously
- 18:30Speaker 1: happen for a variety of reasons that you didn't even
- 18:33Speaker 1: take into account because you weren't in America yet. In
- 18:37Speaker 1: a like very small way, it's like so dumb. I remember,
- 18:40Speaker 1: like truly thinking in the early ads, like I booked
- 18:45Speaker 1: like three national commercial commercials, and I thought that I
- 18:48Speaker 1: would never have to work in a restaurant again. Like
- 18:53Speaker 1: this is like you know, I just thought, like I
- 18:54Speaker 1: just thought that growing up, like when you know you're
- 18:57Speaker 1: enacting classes and stuff that like once you start booing,
- 19:01Speaker 1: especially the timeframe the nineties and early on, it's like
- 19:04Speaker 1: national commercial commercials that you were like a working actor,
- 19:08Speaker 1: and you you know, that's what you were doing. That's
- 19:10Speaker 1: what's always going to happen. Now, you're just to keep
- 19:12Speaker 1: doing that. That's what you are now. A couple of
- 19:14Speaker 1: things happened. A commercial contracts shifted and so you didn't
- 19:20Speaker 1: make as much as you used to do. Uh. And
- 19:22Speaker 1: then also movie actors started to do commercials, so that
- 19:28Speaker 1: TV actors weren't being able to do commercials as much.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Movie actors were doing TV shows, and so like there
- 19:35Speaker 1: was like less of an opportunity that there was I
- 19:38Speaker 1: think in the realm before and or I wasn't even
- 19:40Speaker 1: a working commercial actor when I thought the things I thought,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and so when I got to be one, I was
- 19:47Speaker 1: wrong in what I thought because I wasn't even there
- 19:49Speaker 1: yet to know the ins and out. It's like okay,
- 19:51Speaker 1: but okay, but like we think, we just we want
- 19:54Speaker 1: there to be like meaning an order in life. So
- 19:56Speaker 1: we're like, well this and this and this and that, okay,
- 19:58Speaker 1: so all that to be Definitely, Maxwell has some ignorance
- 20:04Speaker 1: and nativte that, like it's easy to work in America
- 20:10Speaker 1: and make money now in some ways is it easier
- 20:13Speaker 1: than Nigeria. Yes, it's easier work to do a job
- 20:20Speaker 1: in America, and it's easier to live in America to me,
- 20:24Speaker 1: and I'm saying Medisine who's never lived in Nigeria. It's
- 20:29Speaker 1: just not easy to keep up and live how do
- 20:33Speaker 1: you think you should or well or to the degree
- 20:36Speaker 1: you think other people are in America or in the life,
- 20:40Speaker 1: even in the social media landscape. To keep up with
- 20:45Speaker 1: how you think everyone else is doing is overwhelming, you know,
- 20:50Speaker 1: because it's like you think that everyone is, you know,
- 20:52Speaker 1: driving the newest car and the newest nice car or
- 20:54Speaker 1: like the newest lux car or then everyone ever. You
- 20:57Speaker 1: think that everyone has you know, crazy vacations and you know,
- 21:03Speaker 1: crazy homes and all whatever it is, and some people do,
- 21:06Speaker 1: some seple don't. But like the it is very difficult
- 21:12Speaker 1: credit wise and utility, you know, utilities and how much
- 21:16Speaker 1: everything costs to live in the way that Americans live.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And if you haven't lived in America, you might not
- 21:26Speaker 1: understand all the things that happen. Now, Rod, who already
- 21:32Speaker 1: is coming in hot and Maxwell should be trying to charm,
- 21:39Speaker 1: is doing like a mediocre job because Rod hates him
- 21:42Speaker 1: and has to hear Maxwell like be like Maxwell means greatness,
- 21:45Speaker 1: so that's how you'll think of me. Rod's like, Now,
- 21:50Speaker 1: if this did turn into a situation where Rod pulled
- 21:54Speaker 1: Asha's aside and was like, don't do a girl, don't
- 21:57Speaker 1: do it when you got me right there, I think
- 22:01Speaker 1: that would be into it. It would give it a
- 22:02Speaker 1: little drama. I think it would be also would be fake. Okay,
- 22:08Speaker 1: So Maxwell does have like a little sister sidebar being like,
- 22:15Speaker 1: we don't. We don't scam. It's not for our family.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Our family likes to judge people based upon age. It's
- 22:22Speaker 1: more of our family's thing. I would say. Anyway, Okay, babes,
- 22:30Speaker 1: let's move on, shall we. Okay, Malory and Rashid, we
- 22:45Speaker 1: are wedding dress shopping and not at line Felds. But
- 22:49Speaker 1: this place looks adorable. I like this place. What a
- 22:53Speaker 1: homegrown place, honey. I like the sales associate Victoria. I
- 22:59Speaker 1: like the chalk with bubbly on the side. I don't know,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I like it. I like the chalkboard. You know, all
- 23:05Speaker 1: the ping. Now we know Malory is there with her
- 23:08Speaker 1: besties Mikayla and Katie. So now I really have to
- 23:12Speaker 1: understand is Katie part of this friend circle? Is Katie
- 23:18Speaker 1: romantically involved with Brandy. I mean, okay, why haven't they
- 23:24Speaker 1: told us this? Does it? Does Brandy just kind of
- 23:29Speaker 1: like hook up with everyone in the circle. Because if
- 23:33Speaker 1: Katie is going home from a party with Brandy that
- 23:38Speaker 1: there's been drink sat I'm assuming they hooked up. So
- 23:45Speaker 1: if Katie and Brandy are hooking up, we need to
- 23:48Speaker 1: know this is this is the like, this is the drama.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Like I'm like, that's so, this is why I've been
- 23:52Speaker 2: making me mad because I think that the upcoming like
- 23:55Speaker 2: Malory Rashid drama, rasha drama, like with like whether the
- 23:59Speaker 2: kids are gonna happen for them, that feels forced and
- 24:02Speaker 2: fake because there's too many like tropes we have.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's like the secret into the oh no, will they
- 24:09Speaker 1: or won't they right before the wedding because like they
- 24:12Speaker 1: do these storytelling patterns to get drama right, and it's
- 24:17Speaker 1: like the secret, like I said, oh no, telling of
- 24:21Speaker 1: the secret and then will they make it to the altar?
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm like, fuck all that, Katie? Are you fucking Brandon?
- 24:35Speaker 1: What's that? Like you guys just not putting a label
- 24:38Speaker 1: on it yet? Or also like Malory, are you all jealous?
- 24:48Speaker 1: How long? How long is you know? Like, I please,
- 24:51Speaker 1: please give me these what I actually want to know, Like, please,
- 24:54Speaker 1: it's rude doing all this, not give me what I want. Okay,
- 25:00Speaker 1: So we talked about Kleinfeld's Panina Torney lookalike dresses. Okay,
- 25:06Speaker 1: So at this wedding dress shop we get two Malorie dresses. Okay.
- 25:10Speaker 1: The first Mallorie dress is this one. And it's a
- 25:18Speaker 1: beautiful kind of plain like structured strapless dress that really
- 25:22Speaker 1: like accentuates her waist and also covers her neckline beautifully.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Like also, I'm saying this as a big tittied lady.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Strapless gowns can also easily like sort of fall down
- 25:39Speaker 1: in such a way or like start to fall in
- 25:44Speaker 1: the front, like that's what happens to my boobs on
- 25:45Speaker 1: the shading my boobs on the pull shading my body.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure, but she looks gorgeous in that dress,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and she's like, I'm you know, don't anything that's too
- 25:54Speaker 1: tight or too see through because his family is going
- 25:56Speaker 1: to be like facetiming in and also like my family's
- 25:58Speaker 1: there or and my friends will get into more of
- 26:01Speaker 1: her family situation a second, which we don't really know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: and we're glad to know. Now She's like, I really
- 26:06Speaker 1: want to look classy, but later on I will look
- 26:08Speaker 1: like a five dollars horre. Honey, I'm going to make
- 26:10Speaker 1: that change. I can't wait. I love like a fun
- 26:13Speaker 1: wedding outfit change. So Mikayla and Katie, you know, get
- 26:18Speaker 1: that free champagne. You know, I don't know if she's
- 26:21Speaker 1: going to get the cheese platter for Murray's, but they
- 26:23Speaker 1: get the champagne. And we talked about the first dress.
- 26:25Speaker 1: The second dress that she tries on is a really beautiful,
- 26:29Speaker 1: like flower embroidered number with kind of like a I
- 26:35Speaker 1: don't know, I forgot it what you called it. It's
- 26:39Speaker 1: like the sleeping beauty neckline where there's like points out
- 26:43Speaker 1: got forgot it. I don't really know cuts of dresses
- 26:46Speaker 1: very well, but I wish I did. But it has
- 26:49Speaker 1: detachable which I don't love that part, pearl droopy sleeves
- 26:56Speaker 1: and they are reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn's dress in My
- 27:05Speaker 1: Fair Lady. That are gorgeous, super elegant. And then what
- 27:10Speaker 1: happened was there has been many different inspo dresses since then,
- 27:16Speaker 1: but unfortunately Kendall Jenner did a version of this, like
- 27:22Speaker 1: pearl droopy dress, I think in a met gala or
- 27:24Speaker 1: something like that, and it did become like also a trend.
- 27:29Speaker 1: So now in the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty five,
- 27:32Speaker 1: Mallory's like, this is what I'm thinking about doing. It's
- 27:35Speaker 1: unfortunate that I even bring up Kendall Jenner's name because
- 27:41Speaker 1: it really isn't obviously an Audrey Hepburn moment, but for
- 27:46Speaker 1: people to sort of like do things that haven't been
- 27:50Speaker 1: seen them come back up in a moment. It's annoying
- 27:54Speaker 1: to do a trend like that for your wedding because
- 27:58Speaker 1: in a couple of years, you'll be able to date
- 28:02Speaker 1: a wedding pick within two years, and there is a
- 28:07Speaker 1: certain loveliness to a classic, you know, sort of like
- 28:12Speaker 1: timelessness in a wedding dress because of all the pictures
- 28:15Speaker 1: in your life. It's just you know, it's an important
- 28:21Speaker 1: one and you're gonna see it, and it doesn't it
- 28:23Speaker 1: shouldn't be something to me that is like screaming a
- 28:26Speaker 1: certain year. People also like bring up the Grace Kelly dress,
- 28:36Speaker 1: her wedding dress as being that like that lace kind
- 28:39Speaker 1: of like body con dress on top that was also
- 28:42Speaker 1: I feel like Catherine Wales's dress. I really thought that's
- 28:49Speaker 1: a beautiful dress. I sort of, yeah, I do love
- 28:52Speaker 1: lace like that. Yeah, and I do love pearls or whatever.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It's just too it's too bad that like a drapy
- 28:58Speaker 1: sort of sleeve right there is just like so specific
- 29:01Speaker 1: and not just specific to something great like Audrey Hepperd,
- 29:03Speaker 1: but also specific to a trend that was been revisited
- 29:07Speaker 1: by a Kardashian Jenner. You know, I'm saying, don't do
- 29:10Speaker 1: it to yourself, That's what I'm saying. Don't get married
- 29:12Speaker 1: in that dress. Surely fine, where are that kind of dress?
- 29:15Speaker 1: If you like? And I do like it, you know,
- 29:16Speaker 1: to like an event right now, to like a sexy
- 29:18Speaker 1: nighttime event, But don't get married in that dress yet,
- 29:20Speaker 1: don't do it. Don't do it? Okay. So as she's
- 29:25Speaker 1: trngu on my dress, she's like, guess what, girls, there
- 29:28Speaker 1: might not even be a wedding. They're like what what?
- 29:31Speaker 1: And we're like, oh my god, and it's like, yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 1: here it comes. I have a secret, the secret that
- 29:35Speaker 1: I haven't told my husband or my fiance, and therefore
- 29:39Speaker 1: I might not even have a husband. It's like, what
- 29:41Speaker 1: is it, and if the secret is that she might
- 29:44Speaker 1: not want to have kids, and the reason is because
- 29:48Speaker 1: she had a horrible childhood. She has a shitty dad,
- 29:50Speaker 1: shitty mom, you know, real shitty mom, shitty dad. Both
- 29:53Speaker 1: of them just like absolute trash. Kicked her out when
- 29:57Speaker 1: she was in that car accident. Didn't come So she's
- 29:59Speaker 1: just like, why do I want to even? Like, what
- 30:01Speaker 1: am I going to be? What kind of mom am
- 30:03Speaker 1: I going to be? What? What instruction have I seen?
- 30:09Speaker 1: What example have I been shown that makes me feel
- 30:12Speaker 1: like I can do it? And both women are like,
- 30:16Speaker 1: but no, but he wants kids. But one thing we
- 30:18Speaker 1: know about him is he wants he wants kids right now.
- 30:20Speaker 1: He would have kids right now. You can't. You have
- 30:22Speaker 1: to tell you have to talk to him because he
- 30:24Speaker 1: wants kids. We're like, we it's interesting that, Yeah, it's
- 30:28Speaker 1: I guess my mind. I'm like, it's a little heavy
- 30:32Speaker 1: handed that you guys are so on the side of
- 30:36Speaker 1: him having and wanting kids. Surely she knows she's with him,
- 30:43Speaker 1: she knows that he wants kids. You're not like closer
- 30:47Speaker 1: to him than she is. You keep like you're saying
- 30:53Speaker 1: that over and over again, seemingly to fan the flames
- 30:57Speaker 1: of like the direness of this, Like, to me, it
- 31:07Speaker 1: seems like bad directing to have the friends being like, well,
- 31:10Speaker 1: you got to tell him he wants kids so bad,
- 31:12Speaker 1: because it's just like, yeah, it seems very obvious that
- 31:15Speaker 1: you're trying to raise the stakes, you know what I'm saying.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Can we just talk more about Brandy and Brandy's dick?
- 31:25Speaker 1: I want to like, why isn't Katie and fucking Mallory
- 31:28Speaker 1: talking about like, well does he do that thing sometimes
- 31:32Speaker 1: to you? Why doesn't Katy have a conversation with Rashet
- 31:37Speaker 1: where she's like, you don't have to worry about Brandy
- 31:40Speaker 1: and malorymore because I'm here and I take care of
- 31:42Speaker 1: my man and I can take care of you too.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Min.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I'm like, I want that kind of drama. Oh just
- 31:50Speaker 1: feels so fake. The next day, she's home with him
- 31:54Speaker 1: and she's making tea and he complains that it's too hot,
- 31:57Speaker 1: also that there's dog hare at it, which grows. She's like, no,
- 32:01Speaker 1: there's not, or it's fine, just use it to stir.
- 32:04Speaker 1: It's very listen, my dogs have very thick, straight hair.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Just use it to steer, steer, stir the tea. Is
- 32:13Speaker 1: it hard for you to say those two words right now?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Say the word stir and then say the word steer
- 32:23Speaker 1: ster her? Maybe maybe, now that I said it out loud,
- 32:25Speaker 1: not that hard. But when I was trying to say
- 32:27Speaker 1: to my mind hard steer stare steer stir, that's what
- 32:31Speaker 1: it is. Okay, she's upset. She's upset, and uh he
- 32:36Speaker 1: recognizes that uh face. He's like, why you are face
- 32:45Speaker 1: like toilet right now? He has such a way with words.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I mean he puts roomy to shame, like he knows
- 32:58Speaker 1: what he's doing. He knows what he's being funny with that, right,
- 33:04Speaker 1: that's hilarious. She's like, you're right. My face like toileta
- 33:08Speaker 1: right now because I have to tell you something. I
- 33:14Speaker 1: don't know if I want to have a baby. And
- 33:18Speaker 1: it's because I don't know if I would be a
- 33:20Speaker 1: good mom. He's like, why do you always think bad
- 33:22Speaker 1: all the time. She's like, why do you always think
- 33:24Speaker 1: good all the time. He's like, I need to have kids.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I want my parents to love my kids. It's like
- 33:37Speaker 1: I've seen them with my brothers and you know, they're kids,
- 33:41Speaker 1: and I want my parents to do that with my kids.
- 33:45Speaker 1: When my parents look back up at me and for
- 33:47Speaker 1: us all to know we did the thing where we
- 33:49Speaker 1: shared the jeans. You gave me jeans, I gave them jeans.
- 33:55Speaker 1: These are our jeans, jeans jeans. Sometimes you know we're
- 34:02Speaker 1: gonna be like, look that one has your eyes, that
- 34:05Speaker 1: one has your nose. Plus, Mallorie, have you seen me
- 34:09Speaker 1: and my brothers. We're hot, all of us sign a
- 34:14Speaker 1: contract with God where we said we're gonna keep these
- 34:17Speaker 1: genes going for humankind. So my parents they need to
- 34:23Speaker 1: see kids. He gets up and he walks away. He's
- 34:30Speaker 1: really upset. Every I'm assuming that he's going to go
- 34:33Speaker 1: to that little like shed where he likes to, you know,
- 34:35Speaker 1: build things. And we realize he's wearing a shirt. In
- 34:38Speaker 1: the shirt on the front side says have a nice day,
- 34:44Speaker 1: which is funny because he's like, he gets up and
- 34:46Speaker 1: walks away without saying anything, so it just feels like
- 34:48Speaker 1: he's said bad on the shirt. And then as he's
- 34:51Speaker 1: walking away, we see the back of the shirt and
- 34:53Speaker 1: the shirt has a finger putting, you know, a fuck
- 34:56Speaker 1: you symbol up. I'm sorry, a finger up is what
- 34:58Speaker 1: it is, because that is the fuck you SAI internationally,
- 35:02Speaker 1: and it is one of the more American shirts I've
- 35:05Speaker 1: seen in life, meaning that he's already done the transition.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Why didn't he wear this shirt to the white Trash party?
- 35:17Speaker 1: This is a white trash shirt. That's the white trashiest
- 35:21Speaker 1: shirt ever. Now, again, we're supposed to really really believe
- 35:29Speaker 1: and sit in like, oh, no, they might not get
- 35:33Speaker 1: married now because he wants kids and she doesn't know
- 35:39Speaker 1: if she wants to have kids, because we understand she's
- 35:42Speaker 1: been through turmoil. So what do we do. We're gonna
- 35:46Speaker 1: wait and it's like, no, we know they're gonna get married.
- 35:50Speaker 1: They love each other. They're one of the better, like
- 35:53Speaker 1: stronger couples on the season and in past seasons. So
- 36:01Speaker 1: I guess in my mind, I'm like, yeah, like, why
- 36:03Speaker 1: can't we just focus on things that are happening there?
- 36:07Speaker 1: Like why do they think we need the old secret?
- 36:11Speaker 1: Oh no, will they or won't they? It's been played
- 36:16Speaker 1: out so many times, You've done it so many times.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I guess. Also, the here's just this, I'm not okay.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I don't want Rash to experience any sort of discriminate discrimination.
- 36:37Speaker 1: They set up that that could happen. So my only
- 36:41Speaker 1: question is the entire time that he's been here, has
- 36:45Speaker 1: nothing happened, Like he's just had perfect experiences the whole
- 36:52Speaker 1: time with everyone. Again, I don't want him have a
- 36:55Speaker 1: bad experience. I'm just saying in storytelling, why is they
- 36:58Speaker 1: set up that that might happen? And so did it? Anyway?
- 37:03Speaker 1: I just okay, okay. My love's last couple is Katie
- 37:07Speaker 1: and Josh. My god, Katie and Josh. All right, So
- 37:15Speaker 1: they're at a cake consultation with her parents Danielle, Sorry,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Daniel and Debrah. It's forty five days to wed. Now
- 37:24Speaker 1: We're all like, what this is so weird for a
- 37:26Speaker 1: lot of reasons. Hey, why do we care about Daniel
- 37:29Speaker 1: and Debrah's view once on this Also, we had known
- 37:33Speaker 1: but we don't even we know that there's no venue yet, Like,
- 37:36Speaker 1: where is that happening? So they're expecting they say fifty
- 37:41Speaker 1: people to the cake people were like, oh okay. The
- 37:45Speaker 1: cake people are like, what are your colors that you
- 37:47Speaker 1: have in mind? And she's like, I don't have any
- 37:49Speaker 1: colors in mind. He's like, well, how about burgundy. She's like,
- 37:51Speaker 1: well except that color. I had that color, not in mind.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I had in mind, not that color. She says, though,
- 38:02Speaker 1: that for this wedding, she will not be bossy like
- 38:05Speaker 1: a bridezilla. She's just going to be her regular amount
- 38:08Speaker 1: of bossy, which is obviously already too much. Also, weirdly,
- 38:14Speaker 1: something about her is that everyone in her life is like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: she's so bossy, and yet everyone's only too happy to
- 38:19Speaker 1: put her in charge of everything. I would assume if
- 38:25Speaker 1: I had the power of a family behind me, and
- 38:26Speaker 1: then someone who is doing something wrong, I could use
- 38:29Speaker 1: the power of the family to put the person in
- 38:32Speaker 1: their place by being like, listen, bossy, yes, bitch, you
- 38:36Speaker 1: don't get to control everything. Now I get to, or
- 38:39Speaker 1: we'd get to the democracy of this family because you
- 38:43Speaker 1: have shown yourself to be unreliable and not a dictator.
- 38:50Speaker 1: We find out that they don't have a venue yet
- 38:54Speaker 1: for some reason, they thought there might be an option
- 38:57Speaker 1: to get married at her parents' house. So they just
- 39:00Speaker 1: ask the parents if they can have a wedding at
- 39:03Speaker 1: the house. And I don't know what the parents' backyard
- 39:06Speaker 1: looks like that there's no chance. I would think that
- 39:08Speaker 1: this house could probably do like fifty people. Her parents
- 39:11Speaker 1: are like, no, no, and that's crazy that you would ask.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But here's the thing. It's like, you should think that
- 39:20Speaker 1: your daughter's going to ask because the one thing, well,
- 39:23Speaker 1: there's a couple of things we know about Katie. Of
- 39:24Speaker 1: course OCD, drunk making out. She loves to be frugal,
- 39:30Speaker 1: So I would assume that my daughter's first line of
- 39:34Speaker 1: defense over anything would be to use me or whatever
- 39:37Speaker 1: I have for free for her. So if she needed
- 39:41Speaker 1: a venue, and I had a venue that I live
- 39:44Speaker 1: in day and day out, I would assume this self
- 39:47Speaker 1: serving cheap person to be like, let's use you without
- 39:50Speaker 1: any sort of like rhyme or reason of how that
- 39:53Speaker 1: might impact you in your life. Because Katie's like, I'll
- 39:57Speaker 1: sleep in a car, So why who cares? If you know,
- 40:00Speaker 1: I don't know, I wouldn't want to have a wedding
- 40:01Speaker 1: in my home, but I've never you know, I just
- 40:04Speaker 1: that's me. Okay. So they now have to fight a venue,
- 40:13Speaker 1: which seems like thing you to do number one, besides
- 40:17Speaker 1: the fact they also have to find clothes to wear
- 40:18Speaker 1: and also send out invites on a date. But for
- 40:24Speaker 1: some reason, the cake goes the first thing that they
- 40:25Speaker 1: decided to do. And I don't even really understand if
- 40:28Speaker 1: we got a decision on that, because at this cake situation.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Josh finds out that Katie has been getting contacted by
- 40:39Speaker 1: the shipping people that are shipping all of his UK stuff,
- 40:44Speaker 1: and she says that she has told him that she's
- 40:48Speaker 1: been dealing with them, and he says that she hasn't,
- 40:53Speaker 1: and that this has been like a high priority thing
- 40:55Speaker 1: for him that he's been worrying about, and she is
- 40:58Speaker 1: treating it like it's not really a big deal, and
- 41:01Speaker 1: the situation is something like they told her there's going
- 41:07Speaker 1: to be a three hour window of them delivering his
- 41:09Speaker 1: stuff to their place in Portland where they're not and
- 41:13Speaker 1: she has to now. She's like, you have to call
- 41:16Speaker 1: them to get the window changed because we're not there.
- 41:20Speaker 1: And he's like what. He's like, why do they have
- 41:26Speaker 1: your number? And again yeah, we're like why do they
- 41:28Speaker 1: have your number? You're from the UK, you have a phone,
- 41:33Speaker 1: has WhatsApp. She's like, I told you in a text.
- 41:38Speaker 1: We're like, okay, well then where's the text. She has
- 41:44Speaker 1: a lot on her plate for someone who keeps screaming
- 41:46Speaker 1: about not wanting to have a lot on her plate
- 41:48Speaker 1: and how she can't handle her plate. That's all she's
- 41:52Speaker 1: really said to us, And for some reason, it's always like, yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 1: he doesn't like the way I do things. He thinks
- 41:56Speaker 1: I can't do things right, and so the whole play,
- 41:58Speaker 1: the whole finding out apartments on my shoulder, Like Josh,
- 42:03Speaker 1: if you think those things, then buddy, you start to
- 42:05Speaker 1: do some things. Also, the priority of what you do
- 42:09Speaker 1: in this relationship seems to be off. Like, for instance,
- 42:13Speaker 1: if you want to have nice furniture and you want
- 42:15Speaker 1: to have a nice bed, and you like want those things,
- 42:18Speaker 1: and you want nice eggs, then the priority of what
- 42:20Speaker 1: you're giving to this should be going out getting the eggs,
- 42:23Speaker 1: getting the furniture, all of that stuff. What to me
- 42:26Speaker 1: seems weird. I don't know. This seems wild to me
- 42:31Speaker 1: that they're going to have any Easter of just Katie,
- 42:36Speaker 1: even though she has siblings, her parents, and then her grandparents,
- 42:40Speaker 1: no one else, no nieces, no nephews, no aunts, no uncles,
- 42:43Speaker 1: no cousins, at a major holiday at her parents' house,
- 42:50Speaker 1: which has very haphazard decorations. I mean, like what looks
- 42:55Speaker 1: like one weird reef from like a Home Goods and
- 42:58Speaker 1: then like something from a CBS. I mean it's like
- 43:02Speaker 1: all crazy looking, and he's going to cook for their Easter.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I can't even get over, Like, how weird I think
- 43:14Speaker 1: it is to have like a guest who's never been
- 43:16Speaker 1: to your home cooked for Easter cook the meal. I
- 43:19Speaker 1: think it's crazy. Okay, but she's you know, until this point.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Now we're like hot on the heels of him needing
- 43:25Speaker 1: needing to like be Lutheran, you know. And now that
- 43:28Speaker 1: he'd I guess called the people, She's like, you know,
- 43:30Speaker 1: here meets these chickens, you know, and they have some
- 43:34Speaker 1: fun back and forth over the fact that she wants
- 43:36Speaker 1: to try and capture one of the chickens, and her
- 43:38Speaker 1: chasing with chickens around is sort of, you know, as
- 43:41Speaker 1: reminiscent of her chasing around someone at a bar. And
- 43:44Speaker 1: he can laugh about that because this is seemingly not
- 43:48Speaker 1: as humiliating as it would be for someone else. She says,
- 43:55Speaker 1: she always has a favorite chicken, and I wonder if
- 44:01Speaker 1: the chickens can tell. He asks if the chickens are dirty,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I mean that's relative. I mean they're walking around, you know,
- 44:11Speaker 1: on dirt. So you know, she's wearing a red lip
- 44:17Speaker 1: and a red dress with red earrings. She really loves red.
- 44:21Speaker 1: You know, it's like a power color. For her. She
- 44:24Speaker 1: loves that color. She holds a chicken for a pick
- 44:29Speaker 1: and it's cute. Josh wants no part of him in
- 44:32Speaker 1: the pick. So but they're in a good mood because
- 44:37Speaker 1: they had a nice evening of shagging, he says. And
- 44:41Speaker 1: before they serve his food for lunch, her parents set
- 44:46Speaker 1: up an egg hunt egg hunt just for them again,
- 44:49Speaker 1: because there's no kids there. This is just them, the
- 44:54Speaker 1: two adults. So the older adults set up a hard
- 44:58Speaker 1: egg hunt just for them, where there's one golden egg
- 45:01Speaker 1: with two dollars in the middle. This is some of
- 45:05Speaker 1: the whitest shit I've had. I mean, this seems really basic,
- 45:08Speaker 1: really boring, really like I don't mean to say white,
- 45:11Speaker 1: but like just not necessary, bland, unseasoned, weird, awkward or
- 45:22Speaker 1: cold or uncanny valley like it's all of those things.
- 45:27Speaker 1: And it's like it like it starts with again that
- 45:29Speaker 1: he's cooking for this family. Then they it's not a
- 45:33Speaker 1: real Easter, right because there's no one else really like
- 45:35Speaker 1: there and there's nothing really happening that they didn't seemingly
- 45:39Speaker 1: go to church in the morning, Like why if this
- 45:46Speaker 1: is Easter? And the whole thing about them being Lutheran.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I would assume that this scene, and this is saying,
- 45:54Speaker 1: like from a Catholic porn of view, that the day
- 45:56Speaker 1: would be we're making Josh go church. You're seeing that
- 46:02Speaker 1: all of the church shit Easter and Allelulijah, and He's
- 46:06Speaker 1: raisen all of that. Then we're going to our house
- 46:10Speaker 1: where our family is there, and you see a typical Easter.
- 46:14Speaker 1: There are our little kids, and we've dyed these eggs,
- 46:16Speaker 1: and there's an Easter egg hunk for kids or you
- 46:19Speaker 1: know whatever, goblass. But none of that's happened, which makes
- 46:23Speaker 1: this feel false, weird, fake, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Why is he cooking sausage rolls for a holiday he
- 46:35Speaker 1: doesn't even know or like or subscribe to. Why wouldn't
- 46:41Speaker 1: he have done the sausage rolls like the night they
- 46:43Speaker 1: got there are a different night. Why isn't her mom
- 46:46Speaker 1: making food? Why is there no ham honey? Why is
- 46:52Speaker 1: there no honey baked ham? I don't get it unless
- 46:58Speaker 1: you can really tell me, like this is just a
- 47:01Speaker 1: very specificness of Lutheran culture and I don't know it,
- 47:06Speaker 1: which I would be like, Okay, you're right, I don't
- 47:07Speaker 1: know it. I don't know what I'm a cultural Catholic
- 47:09Speaker 1: and I'm a Lebanese person, so like, I don't know, Josh
- 47:16Speaker 1: is like, I don't want to have uh a kuns
- 47:19Speaker 1: for my kids. It's too competitive, which makes him seem
- 47:24Speaker 1: so wimpy. A hunts are fine, Like sports are fine.
- 47:31Speaker 1: You're not gonna have what You're not gonna have your
- 47:33Speaker 1: kids play any sports then, because like A hunts whatever,
- 47:37Speaker 1: Like they can't play baseball or basketball? Ever, how about
- 47:41Speaker 1: rugby any of You're weird English sports? So soccer? So
- 47:46Speaker 1: I mean football. Do you think football is too competitive?
- 47:50Speaker 1: I mean, because surely it is. I mean you can
- 47:52Speaker 1: give that, I mean makes no sense. So then we
- 47:56Speaker 1: get a horrible conversation. Katie's grandparents are there, and you know,
- 48:00Speaker 1: God blessed to have some other people at this table,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and Katie's like comprehension levels are really suspect. Katie suddenly
- 48:17Speaker 1: becomes like an Asia level god person of religious understanding,
- 48:24Speaker 1: where she's like, Mommy, if Josh doesn't convert to Lutheranism,
- 48:34Speaker 1: is he gonna go to Hell for the rest of
- 48:37Speaker 1: his life. He's gonna be burning hell all how long,
- 48:39Speaker 1: all for eternity, while I'm in heaven in front of Josh.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Josh is like, I'm agnostic. This is like this alone,
- 48:49Speaker 1: this conversation is so banana ramas that I can't imagine
- 48:53Speaker 1: any rational person getting married after it. Like if you
- 48:56Speaker 1: are like I'm agnostic, no, I you know, I don't
- 48:58Speaker 1: really know if there's or not. And you think you're
- 49:01Speaker 1: gonna get married to someone who's all all over on
- 49:04Speaker 1: the side of like say yes to this one, to
- 49:08Speaker 1: this one kind of branch of God right now, right here,
- 49:10Speaker 1: or for the rest of life. I'm sorry, for the
- 49:13Speaker 1: rest of time, you'll be in damnation. Like that's just
- 49:17Speaker 1: very different viewpoints. And Katie starts to be like, I
- 49:22Speaker 1: just want you and my kids to have the same
- 49:25Speaker 1: values the Lutheran set of premiere values, which is tequila
- 49:32Speaker 1: means you can make out with people. I mean it
- 49:34Speaker 1: means Jesus loves us. Like you're just like what, Like
- 49:40Speaker 1: it's so crazy that you're like, Josh is the Debbie
- 49:50Speaker 1: of this situation where you're like, Debbie, why would you
- 49:54Speaker 1: stay with me? Thought that everyone's like Josh, why would
- 49:56Speaker 1: you stay with Katie? Katie seems to have a very
- 49:59Speaker 1: very like black and white understanding of some things, and
- 50:03Speaker 1: she cannot comprehend the nuance of things like she cannot
- 50:08Speaker 1: comprehend the nuance that her way isn't the highway, and
- 50:14Speaker 1: so everything that she thinks to be true. God is Lutheran.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Mom said, God is Lutheran. Mom said word Lutheran. Mom said,
- 50:22Speaker 1: Heaven exists only for Lutheran. I need to check the
- 50:27Speaker 1: oven fourteen times. I need to check the oven fourteen times.
- 50:30Speaker 1: You shouldn't be so stringent in your planning. Like all
- 50:35Speaker 1: of the things that she holds true, she holds true
- 50:40Speaker 1: in a way that she doesn't allow space for like
- 50:42Speaker 1: anything else right. And yet it's interesting to me because
- 50:46Speaker 1: she will admit having hard times with like executive functioning
- 50:51Speaker 1: or decision making or planning. So I guess at this
- 50:54Speaker 1: I've brought this up. It's like, how you have both
- 50:57Speaker 1: the ability to understand that you have hardship in this
- 51:01Speaker 1: as well as be like, oh no, but I'm right
- 51:04Speaker 1: and it's only my way. The way you're doing it
- 51:07Speaker 1: is wrong. He basically has to try and defend the
- 51:17Speaker 1: fact that he does not want to be a Lutheran
- 51:19Speaker 1: or doesn't believe in Jesus Christ to her family in
- 51:24Speaker 1: a way that is awkward because of course. Like the
- 51:28Speaker 1: grandma's like, well, you have to believe in God. It's
- 51:32Speaker 1: not gonna work if you don't. And the mom's like, well,
- 51:34Speaker 1: if you don't accept Jesus Christ as you're a Lord
- 51:37Speaker 1: and savior and no heaven. So I mean, you know
- 51:41Speaker 1: Katie's right. Is that the one thing she is right about,
- 51:44Speaker 1: even like Katie's grandparents are like, she is bossy, she's
- 51:47Speaker 1: a lot, but she's right about that God stuff. She's like,
- 51:52Speaker 1: I don't understand. I told you I was a Lutheran
- 51:56Speaker 1: a long time ago, so you were fine with it.
- 51:59Speaker 1: He's like, well, I also told you I was agnostic then,
- 52:04Speaker 1: and you were fine with it. We both just accepted
- 52:08Speaker 1: that at that moment. That's what had happened me. Hearing
- 52:11Speaker 1: that you were a Lutheran wasn't like me being like, okay,
- 52:14Speaker 1: now I will be too. It's weird that you thought that,
- 52:18Speaker 1: because I didn't think that when I said I was agnostic,
- 52:22Speaker 1: that you were gonna be like, oh okay, now me too.
- 52:28Speaker 1: It seems like Katie does not want to get married,
- 52:34Speaker 1: and so the making out with people is a way
- 52:37Speaker 1: for her to put a bridge in between or put
- 52:39Speaker 1: a roadblock in that because she can't be expected to
- 52:42Speaker 1: be like a you know, faithful wife if that's what's happening,
- 52:47Speaker 1: and he should think twice about that. But it also
- 52:49Speaker 1: feels like this deal breaker suddenly of like having Lutheran
- 52:54Speaker 1: kids and him being Lutheran is another way for her
- 52:56Speaker 1: to be like, oh, maybe it won't work out because
- 52:59Speaker 1: I don't think Katie he loves him like that. I
- 53:02Speaker 1: think that Katie has insecurity issues and Katie feels like
- 53:05Speaker 1: comfortable with him, and Katie has people like Katie's mom
- 53:09Speaker 1: and her life being like, you should be nice to
- 53:11Speaker 1: him because he's the best you'll ever get and you're weird.
- 53:16Speaker 1: So take this one. I guess I would. He's good
- 53:23Speaker 1: for you. He makes you seem normal a little bit.
- 53:25Speaker 1: So like it feels like Katie is dealing with both
- 53:29Speaker 1: of those things in her head, and that's that's why
- 53:32Speaker 1: we're seeing her sort of in real time weigh those things.
- 53:39Speaker 1: He's like, they're like, will you go to church with us?
- 53:42Speaker 1: He's like, I'm not, I don't want to. Are you
- 53:46Speaker 1: asking me that without Katie's input? Would I be like
- 53:48Speaker 1: I want to get up early on a Sunday and
- 53:50Speaker 1: go to church for an hour and a half. No,
- 53:53Speaker 1: but I'm surrounded by you people right now, and you
- 53:56Speaker 1: haven't said if you like my sausage rolls yet, so
- 53:58Speaker 1: oh maybe i'd be like, enjoy your sausage roles. Ask
- 54:02Speaker 1: me later. I don't see any fucking mashed potatoes around here.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Where's your sides? I don't know. I can't wait to
- 54:14Speaker 1: see what happens though. All right, my loves, thank you
- 54:17Speaker 1: so much for being with me for these two parts
- 54:20Speaker 1: of this. So help me, God recap, so help me
- 54:23Speaker 1: God on Ahama deal with this season. I need your help.
- 54:27Speaker 1: So help me, you guys and God slash Asia slash
- 54:32Speaker 1: the Lutheran version of God. I didn't know Lutherans were
- 54:36Speaker 1: so like militant? Are They are the Lutherans the people
- 54:42Speaker 1: that were like the Puritans. I gotta do some research.
- 54:45Speaker 1: That's a distootoo stupid question. I'm sorry, I'll do some research.
- 54:48Speaker 1: I'll come back to you, all right, my babes. If
- 54:51Speaker 1: you haven't yet, please follow me. I'm at Chris el
- 54:53Speaker 1: Fara on TikTok and on Instagram. I have a Patreon
- 54:56Speaker 1: dot com slash Chris Farah. I have a Facebook group
- 55:00Speaker 1: called Vanity Farah and my page Chris Farah on Facebook
- 55:03Speaker 1: that you can go ahead and like, I also would
- 55:06Speaker 1: appreciate any sort of sharing you can do on like
- 55:09Speaker 1: you know, your friends or on Reddit or any sort
- 55:11Speaker 1: of forms of things that you've enjoyed or you know,
- 55:13Speaker 1: reels you like of me or whatnot. Truly would help
- 55:16Speaker 1: me in so many ways. But also give me like
- 55:20Speaker 1: that review would also help me. So thank you so
- 55:22Speaker 1: much for helping me. Is what I'm trying to say.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I love you guys.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Let's breathe and I'll let you guys go h feel
- 55:27Speaker 3: your heart, plant your feet. Let's do the thing where
- 55:31Speaker 3: we touch ourselves and bring ourselves to this very moment
- 55:38Speaker 3: and connect our hearts, our minds, our souls, our spirits,
- 55:41Speaker 3: our energies with acious God and Katie's God and God.
- 55:50Speaker 3: But if you're an agnostic, also the universal divine Spirit
- 55:55Speaker 3: that energetically connects us all as people that share the reality.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Okay too breast.
- 56:02Speaker 1: To kind of try and get us into a rhythm.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Wondering that if you're listening to this, maybe someone else
- 56:07Speaker 1: is listening at the same time, and you guys are
- 56:11Speaker 1: experiencing something together. This really probably in the moment, it's
- 56:17Speaker 1: not digital or fake. Okay, here we go.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Blow it out, breath it in twice.
- 56:53Speaker 1: All right, babes, take care of yourselves and one another,
- 56:55Speaker 1: staying up for what you believe, and make art. I'll
- 56:57Speaker 1: talk to you bye.
