- Sue: Recording this on a visit with family, as it happened this year, celebration of life event for a relative to attend. It put me in my birth state for a few days and then traveled on to visit my family in another state where I'm located now. And it got me thinking about how I don't know about your family, but mine given the work that I do and being in the public eye at times and celebrating the joy of music with audiences and recording. And television shows and films and whatever capacity professionally I've been extremely fortunate to be in. There is the shade that comes from family members, whether they are blood or marital. My light is diminished by the fact that they are unable to have a balanced conversation about professionally what I do, but yet will go off and talk about one of their relations or friends and their artistic lives to great detail. And I've learned over the Years that grace and patience on my part is key because you know these are lessons that have yet to be learned by those family members about how best to not negatively project energy onto others when they are just unable to recognize the balance of things as they currently are amongst their family members. In other words, they don't realize that they're stirring things up intentionally because they're doing it on a subconscious level. So grace and patience is the is the order of the day as far as I'm concerned. Always brings to mind my paternal grandmother. mother who would say to us as we would r as we returned home from a visit, It's always nice to have you kids come and visit, but it's even nicer to have you go home. And I always take that to heart because it's about understanding that you can you must have and can. an independent life from your family because th they're not gonna live forever in the physical world and your relationships with them all have to be balanced in a spiritual way and most of them don't have that understanding while they're living in their physical realm. And observationally you go through this and you say, Well, okay, yeah, here we are. What I find extremely interesting is that it's the the darkness of the shade which helps better illuminate the brightness of my light and to appreciate my love for myself to to Better observe without judgment. These are just life lessons that some people will never learn, and you can't guide them to teach themselves. I had one such illuminating ins incident during this trip when I was transiting from one state to another, and I was in the Atlanta airports. It can be a very daunting way to get from one concourse to the other and people and activity and all of that. My light is such that whenever I'm out in public, whether it be on a street in New York or anywhere in the world, there invariably will be people drawn to me to ask for directions. As it happened, I was walking around Atlanta Airport and a person came up to me and asked for guidance about how to get to from where we were to where they needed to be. And this was a woman who was at least my age, if not in her eighties, and robust, but yet intimidated by the whole thing, and you know, it might not have been her first time in. the airport either. Everybody has their tolerances for such places and she came right up to me and and asked if I knew how to get her to this place. And I said, Well as it happens, my gate else is at the same concourse, so let's travel this together and I'll make sure you get to your gate. Which we did and I don't think that there were many words spoken as we were making the move other than to make certain that I didn't speed off and leave her in my dust. And I made sure that she got to the gate and And double check that we were in the right place and when we did ascertain that everything was as it should be, and she was in well on time and it was my time to go back to my gate, she spontaneously reached up to me 'cause she was about a foot shorter than I am, and gave me a genuine hug. The same kind of hug that you get when you're with family. In my case, it's that no holds barred, gentle but firm embrace of saying, our spiritual souls connect through our physical bodies for these moments. It's all right with the world. I didn't give the woman any need for her to take my name or website or phone number or anything like that. It was just a matter of helping her maintain a connection with her family by making sure that she was on the right path to get to the gate to get home. You know why she chose me as opposed to an airport employee who would be that's not my question to ask of her, and happens several times in my life and I don't always have the opportunity to escort somebody in person, nor do I wish to cry. creep them out by doing so if they feel they can should do it on their own. But I was happy to do it, as I think all of us would be. And to me it just heightens up the fact that when you recognize that we're all equal in the spirit of ⁓ a good heart, it's a good thing to do. It comes back to the point that in your own family, while you may have a reputation for being the shining light and the guiding one who people come to for guidance, there are those in your family who work overtime and they may not realize it subconsciously. That they are trying to open up an umbrella to project so much shade, it appears to extinguish the light of every other family member that is generating balance. And when you see that in your family and recognize it for just what that is, is a negative projection, those people have attachments that they have been carrying a long time in the tradition of their families before they came into ours or all the more reason to be empathetic and compassionate. I can see it for what it is. It is. The other aspect about it is when when people are have those sort of attachments, they are intentionally looking to for an anger, for a flash of rage in reply, the indignity of it all sort of response. And when you don't give it to them and it falls flat as if nothing ever happened, they don't get the energy that they wish to take from that other soul. Very infuriating to them. And it only rams them up. But it then it also exposes them for what their tactics are. Because they don't realize they're doing it. And then it back to Back to what I believe first and foremost is being able to forgive yourself. Because when you forgive yourself and recognize that all of that which you might in a previous life have felt in anger and rage is wasted, there's no point in giving that energy away. You use that energy for a positive thing, which is to say to shine your light a little bit brighter. Because others see what's going on. And without that light helping them to see where the truth is at, they might not know where to go. They might need my light to help get them to where they need to be. And I might not be in a position to refuse. So get to it and have some fun along. Extremely grateful to be frequently in the situation of being a guiding light for people. You know, they're just drawn to me. Because I think people feel a little uncomfortable with the truth because they've had a confirmation that other people of the light will be there to help guide them or be guiding me. Yeah, well the end of it all is you never know when you're gonna receive a gift. A gift of somebody coming up and needing your guidance for a few moments. And that when you get through that moment of moving through a an airport or a bustling city or such that it just becomes just a happenstance in your day and you don't fully appreciate it until the end of the day or maybe a couple of days later, the profound beauty of that gift. Everything is a synchronicity. There's a reason why that woman came to me and not somebody else. When I'm in the business of working for the music industry and a behind the scenes kind of work way to be shown as a person of someone of service to others is just a confirmation of the light that I share professionally. And that's like one of the breat greatest birthday gifts of all, in my opinion. And I'm grateful to have received that gift. And I'm grateful for the time that you took to listen to me blather on about it. Another mundane post on my blog and I appreciate you taking time to share energy with me. Thanks again.
