Transcript
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Texanville Jaguars fans welcome in to do wall daily presented by Gen Jack.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Friday, December 19th.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, we are gearing up for Jaguars at Broncos.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's a vitally important game for the Jacksonville Jaguars season.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: If they win that game, they will be one step closer to the playoffs and they could potentially clinch the playoffs this weekend.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: They will also be one step closer to potentially winning the AFC South.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, if they win the AFC South, they're guaranteed at least one home game and the playoffs in the wildcard round, however, if they are able to clinch a two or one seed throughout the remainder of the season, which is three weeks left, in order to do that, they'll probably have to win all three games.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: But if they clinch a one or two seed in the F.C.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Then they will be set up to, if they win in the wildcard round, also host in the divisional round.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: And if they have the one seed, they'll host in the championship round as well.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: But the two seed, they may or may not host the championship round.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: If the one seed does not make it to the championship round, then the two seed would host.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Look, everything's still on the table for them.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're facing the Broncos who are currently the one seed.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: They're 12 and 2.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos, if the Jaguars are able to beat the Broncos this week, which is obviously a game you are cheering for the Jaguars to win.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you're a Jaguars fan and you're here watching the channel.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, if the Jags beat the Broncos and the Broncos fall to 12 and 3,
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars get to 11 and 4.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars would then need the Broncos to either lose to the Chiefs or the Chargers in the last two weeks of the season.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: In order for the Jaguars to actually be able to jump the Broncos and guarantee themselves a two seed.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: You also have the Patriots who are playing the Ravens this weekend.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: We'll go ahead and dive into the rest of this schedule.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just check out jingag.com, pick up some new Duval gear, help support the channel, look good while doing it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: So you had last night L.A. Rams at Seattle Seahawks, two of the only teams that have beaten the Jaguars this year, the Seahawks eaked it out and over time, very strange ending to that game as we all know, but
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: Hell of a matchup, hell of a contest didn't really have a major impact on what we've got going on with the Jaguars in terms of playoff seeding anything like that.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: So then you have on Saturday, tomorrow, yes, football is starting to go down on Saturdays now that college football is out of the way for the most part.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: So Saturday December 20th, Philadelphia at Washington, that does not really have a big impact on the Jaguars at all.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: would always be funny to see the commanders take down the eagles though, you know, I don't have as much against the eagles as a lot of folks do.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people are just kind of sick of them, sick of dealing with them, but you know, I do generally root for the underdog.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: So Green Bay, Attcha Cago, another one that does not have a major impact for the jackwars either way,
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: All these games, the first three games of the week is just NFC on NFC and it's not teams that the Jaguars have played, so not a big impact there, Buffalo at Cleveland.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously it would be great for the Jaguars if the Browns could pull that one off.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills currently have the same record.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're both 10 and 4, right?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: As long as the Jaguars win the AFC South, the bills are not really a threat in terms of playoff seeding.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: But if you do happen to slip up in the Texans catch you, which is very possible.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the Jaguars face in the Broncos, that's a tough matchup, and then they have the Colts and the Titans, they should be able to finish two and one at worst to finish the regular season, which would give them 12 wins.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: But if the Texans win their next three games,
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: they'll be tied with you and then you'll go down to these tie breakers and the Texas could win that.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: So all of that to say, as long as the Jaguar's take care of their own business, the bills are not a threat, but yes, you would definitely root for Cleveland to win that game and knock Buffalo down a peg.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Los Angeles chargers at Dallas Cowboys.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's fascinating one right there.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously you're going for the Cowboys in that one.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: But, um,
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's a similar situation to Jaguars and Bills, the difference being that Jaguars have actually beaten the Chargers.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: So if the Jaguars and the Chargers finish with the same record, the Jaguars have that tiebreaker in the event that the Jaguars don't win the AFC South and they have to be competing for the Wild card spot or A Wild card spot, one of three in the AFC.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: You look at Kansas City at Tennessee.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't really matter for the Jags.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: a Cincinnati at Miami.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it doesn't really matter, I guess you go for the bingles because if strength of schedule becomes a tie-breaking point for the jaguars, at some point during the seeding, then the jacks of beat have not beaten the bingles, but the jaguars have played the bingles, making their strength of schedule better would be better.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: So New York Jets at New Orleans Saints, you're going for the Jets here because you just beat the Jets, you want your strength of victory to be higher, you want your strength of schedule to be higher.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants, not one that you're really concerned with here, either way, honestly.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tampa Bay Buck and ears at Carolina Panthers.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: You have played the Panthers.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: You have beaten the Panthers.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: You want the Panthers to win this game.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: Again, strength of schedule, strength of victory.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Then you've got, obviously, Jags at Denver at 405 p.m. Go Jag Wars, tough tough matchup, but go Jag Wars.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you want more info on that specific matchup, we've got a lot of analysis over the last couple days.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: There will be more coming forward tomorrow.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then you can also go check out Club Jag War on UCF Jag Wars channel where we talked about the game a good bit.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: But Jag Wars need, it's not a must win.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: in order to really mark themselves as a true playoff contender winning that game would go a long way and it would go a long way towards potentially helping them be more of a playoff contender because it could help them get home field for longer.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, the Jaguars are a wonderful home.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're homefield of Aina dry now is huge.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're much better at home than they are on the road.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: So again, taking care of business, they would be huge.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Atlanta at Arizona, you played the cardinals, so you would go for them, strength of schedule, strength of victory, Steelers at Lions.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is an interesting one.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, do you want the,
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Steelers in the playoffs?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want the Ravens in the playoffs?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Which one would you prefer?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: I personally would probably prefer if the Jaguar has had to play one of the two teams out.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: I would prefer to play the Steelers.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they could potentially beat either team.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the Steelers present a little bit less problems for you.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Quite frankly.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Could be wrong on that one.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's close.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you want the Steelers in, for the Steelers, if you want the Ravens in, you root for the Ravens.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Not all of these are cut and dry.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans, this one is extremely cut and dry.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars want the Houston Texans to lose this football game.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: If the Texans lose this game, you could actually afford, if you're the Jaguars, to lose to the Broncos.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you don't want to do that, and you won't be able to scoreboard watch really because the Jaguars game starts before the Texans game.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: And let's be honest, the Raiders are not very good.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you're the Jaguars and you really want the Texans to lose a game, which you do, it's going to come against the Chargers or the Colts.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: At Chargers next weekend, that could be the one.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: that could be one where you have an opportunity to see the chargers take down the Texans, but ultimately the Jaguars just need to handle their business and win these final three games.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Still, go Raiders.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think no matter what, even if you want the Steelers in the playoffs, if you're a Jagsman, you should be rooting for the Ravens here, because you want to be able to potentially catch New England.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: New England has three losses now, and if they lose another game, the Jag Wars could potentially jump them with tiebreakers.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: So if they lose another, especially AFC game, that's huge for the Jag Wars, because the Jags have been
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: damn good in the F.C.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: they've only lost one game to an F.C.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: opponent, which, unfortunately, is, excuse me, they've lost two, the Bengals and the Texans, but the Jaguar's have a better record in the F.C.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's a potential tiebreaker.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: So, Ravens, you want them to win that game even if you want the Steelers and the playoffs, because you want the Jaguars to be able to potentially jump the Patriots.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then it wraps up San Francisco at Indianapolis.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Go 49ers.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars have beaten both of these teams as well.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: So the strength of schedule strength of victory doesn't matter a whole lot, but you want to bury the cults a little bit here.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to give them life.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to give them an opportunity.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big game for 49ers.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, being able to go in and be Andy would be big for them.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: But it's kind of like,
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Colts have had their backs against the wall for a few weeks now, they played well against the seahawks.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: You got to give them credit, but they didn't really do much against the Jaguars a couple weeks ago.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Can they muster up anything against the 49ers?
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm expecting the 49ers to go in and win.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers are pretty, you know, five and a half point favorites on the road.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's a pretty big line there for the 49ers.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: But that'll do it.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: The big games you're really looking at is the AFC South games.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, of course, Raiders at Texans, which you don't feel very good about, 49ers at Colts, but then also you want Baltimore to beat New England, those are the big, big ones in my opinion, because ultimately yes, you can worry about what's behind you, but I think you should worry about what's in front of you.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can worry about the bills, you can worry about the Chargers to a lesser extent because even if you finish the same record as the Chargers, you're going to have the tiebreaker there.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: But you want to worry about what's ahead of you.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: What's ahead of you right now?
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Winning the FC South.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Catching the Broncos, catching the Patriots.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: All of those things are still on the table.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
