- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:43Hi. It's Adam here, and on this
- 0:45episode of The Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a
- 0:49hypnosis session that is designed to help you reduce a.
- 0:52Feeling of needing. Alcohol and many people become
- 0:57dependent on alcohol because they start to believe that it is
- 1:00necessary in certain occasions. And I was working with a client
- 1:05that felt that they couldn't be fun if they weren't drinking, or
- 1:09they couldn't enjoy themselves if they weren't drinking, and
- 1:12also that they couldn't really either relax or enjoy sex if
- 1:16they weren't influenced by drinking alcohol.
- 1:20And none of these were actually true, but there was such a deep
- 1:23conviction of a belief that they felt like it was.
- 1:26True. And when I was speaking to the
- 1:28client, there was evidence of them in their past where they
- 1:32had had moments of enjoying themselves and feeling relaxed
- 1:35without any kind of alcohol at all, but they'd kind of
- 1:38forgotten about that memory. So in this hypnosis session,
- 1:42you're going to hear elements of regression to enable the client
- 1:45that I was working with to go back to a time where they could
- 1:48enjoy themselves, feel relaxed, feel social without any need for
- 1:53alcohol, alcohol at all. But also to link that to moments
- 1:57of intimacy that they could actually remember times where
- 2:00they were intimate without needing to drink alcohol.
- 2:04And this is to harness the resource state to anchor that,
- 2:09reactivate those neural pathways.
- 2:11And then you're going to hear future pacing.
- 2:13Future pacing. Is taking that.
- 2:15Resourceful state and linking it into the future rather than in
- 2:20the past where it isn't that helpful anymore.
- 2:22The past is useful as a reference point, but you really
- 2:25want to make it so that you can feel the resourceful feelings in
- 2:29the context that it's actually most useful.
- 2:32So there's regression, there's future pacing, there's direct
- 2:34suggestions. There's also a couple of
- 2:36metaphors in there as well, and I think if you have certain,
- 2:42let's say, habits related to alcohol in certain occasions
- 2:45because of a belief that isn't true, then you will get some
- 2:49value from this particular session.
- 2:51Be aware of course, that it was created for a specific client,
- 2:57therefore not all of the suggestions are going to be
- 2:59relevant to you and your situation.
- 3:02So if you like the idea of having a hypnosis session that
- 3:05is 100% calibrated and connected to you and your situation, then
- 3:11there will be a link in the description where you can
- 3:14schedule a completely free consultation call to explore the
- 3:17possibility of working with me directly.
- 3:20Almost all of the sessions that I share are real hypnosis with
- 3:24real clients facing real issues. I just share my voice that's
- 3:29recorded, thereby keeping the confidentiality of the clients
- 3:33that I'm working with. It's a good way to have an
- 3:36amplification for the people, but it does mean that I work
- 3:41with people all the time. So if you feel like I might be a
- 3:44good hypnotherapist to work with you, check out that link in the
- 3:47description. For now though, you might get
- 3:50some value from this session. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 3:53place, ideally the kind of place where you're not going to be
- 3:56interrupted or disturbed. To relax.
- 3:59And enjoy this session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:50you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 4:57And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close.
- 5:04That's it. And as they close, feel a
- 5:11wonderful sense of release, letting go of feelings of
- 5:17tension around the eyelids, your forehead going down into your
- 5:23jaw. But also notice that feeling of
- 5:28relaxation spreading there in the neck, the shoulders starting
- 5:35to ripple down the arms. That's it.
- 5:42Become aware of the rhythm of your breath.
- 5:47Notice as you inhale, maybe your chest rises or your diaphragm
- 5:53expands. And as you exhale, notice how
- 6:01good it feels to feel that you're releasing stress,
- 6:06worries, and tension in that outward breath.
- 6:15Almost like the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you
- 6:21feel. And the more relaxed you feel,
- 6:27the more tension you can release on that outward breath.
- 6:33That's it. Feeling deeper and deeper,
- 6:38relaxed. That's it.
- 6:48I want you to think. Think of a place where for you,
- 6:53represents pure relaxation. Perhaps a garden or a park.
- 7:03Just imagine how good it would feel to be in that park or that
- 7:07garden barefoot. Just imagine it's a sunny day
- 7:16with blue skies, and you're just roaming around that park or that
- 7:22garden, no one else around, breathing in that fresh, clean
- 7:29air. And as you exhale, releasing
- 7:36more and more of any feelings of tension, worry or stress.
- 7:42And I wonder if you could imagine an extremely comfortable
- 7:48chair there in that park, the kind of chair where you could
- 7:57sit down for a moment, sink into the chair, and feel like you're
- 8:04drifting away into pure bliss and relaxation.
- 8:18I'll countdown from 5 to 1. I don't want you to imagine
- 8:23drifting off into a dreamlike sleep there in that place of
- 8:31calm, tranquility. Five, your eyelids getting
- 8:35heavier and heavier and heavier. That's it. 4 neck and shoulders
- 8:42just melting away any tension. And then three, arms getting
- 8:48heavier and heavier as you breathe in.
- 8:58Breathe in even more relaxation so your internal organs relax as
- 9:04three becomes 2 and then one, feeling a ripple of relaxation
- 9:13all the way down your legs so your whole body feels limp and
- 9:19loose and relaxed. And then imagine you're now in a
- 9:27dream like sleep, a lucid dream, the kind of dream that you have
- 9:34control. It also feels like a dream.
- 9:38And I want you to imagine there you are in that same park or
- 9:44garden, seeing yourself, your conscious mind, in a dreamlike
- 9:50sleep. Imagine lifting up one of your
- 9:53wrists, feeling how limp and loose your arm is, and letting
- 9:58go and just seeing it flop nearby.
- 10:05I want you to imagine seeing a puzzle, a jigsaw puzzle on a
- 10:10table. All of.
- 10:13The pieces are there, but the puzzle doesn't quite make sense.
- 10:20And I want you to imagine you can see yourself in your future,
- 10:31and there's a few pieces of the puzzle that see you smiling, but
- 10:36the full picture doesn't make sense yet.
- 10:40So just imagine that analytical part of your mind is trying to
- 10:45solve this puzzle, figuring out what it means by turning the
- 10:52pieces into a single picture. So allow your analytical mind to
- 10:57work on the puzzle and then allow a different part of you.
- 11:03We continue walking there on the grass barefoot, and that's the
- 11:10part that wants change. So now when you look, you can
- 11:18see your conscious mind fast asleep in a comfy chair, and you
- 11:25can see your analytical mind working on a puzzle.
- 11:31But I'm communicating to the part that wants change, and I
- 11:37want you to find a pond in this place of tranquility.
- 11:44Pond is dark and the sky is blue, so when you look into the
- 11:51pond, it looks like a reflection, a mirror made of
- 11:58water. And as you stare into the pond,
- 12:05you can't help but remember a time in your past where you were
- 12:11able to enjoy spending time with friends, to go on holidays, to
- 12:20go to restaurants and bars without any desire to drink
- 12:26alcohol. And the more you look at that
- 12:33reflection, the more you can recall, almost like you're
- 12:39seeing a screen, a movie taking you back to your past, to a time
- 12:48where alcohol wasn't even desirable.
- 12:55And I want you to see that time, see you smiling and having fun,
- 13:02eating in nice restaurants, socializing in bars, and yet you
- 13:09were fine with the soft drink. See that version of you to give
- 13:18you irrefutable evidence that you can enjoy yourself, have
- 13:26fun, and be fun without any alcohol whatsoever.
- 13:36And then just imagine floating back into that memory and
- 13:42feeling how you felt back then. Feel how good it felt to be
- 13:49socializing, having conversations, enjoying
- 13:54yourself. And notice how easy it was for
- 14:02you to accept that other people were drinking and you weren't.
- 14:07But just because other people were drinking didn't mean that
- 14:13you had to. Imagine that you're reawakening
- 14:18those neural pathways, the ones that enable you to feel
- 14:24comfortable, relaxed, completely at ease.
- 14:33Notice how you were breathing back then and breathe the same
- 14:36way. There was no expectation, no
- 14:42pressure, not from others and not from you, no expectation to
- 14:49drink and yet you could enjoy yourself.
- 14:59I want you to imagine around the same time, a time when you were
- 15:08feeling completely relaxed, comfortable in an intimate
- 15:14moment. A time when there was no alcohol
- 15:18involved and it didn't need to be.
- 15:25I want. You to recall how good it felt
- 15:29to have all of your senses on high alert.
- 15:37Sometimes alcohol can make mindfulness difficult, but I
- 15:47want you to get a sense that back then, with no alcohol, your
- 15:52senses were dialed all the way up.
- 15:59Your ears were able to pick up on the sounds, sounds of words,
- 16:06sounds of breathing. Your eyes were able to notice
- 16:12things that you wouldn't have noticed if you were under the
- 16:15influence. You were able to smell things,
- 16:22taste things you wouldn't have picked up on.
- 16:31If your unconscious mind is starting to let go of a belief,
- 16:37a belief that you need alcohol to have fun or you need alcohol
- 16:45to feel relaxed when having sex. If you're ready to let go of
- 16:49that belief, let me know by nodding your head and just
- 16:54imagine that garden that you were in and pulling out two
- 16:58trees by the roots and then imagine planting new seeds or
- 17:06small trees in exactly the same place.
- 17:11I want you to start to believe you could have more fun without
- 17:19alcohol. At the moment you don't need it,
- 17:25you can enjoy it more. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:35either you don't need alcohol. But if?
- 17:39You choose to have it. Having just one or two drinks is
- 17:45the perfect sweet spot, enough to enjoy, but not so much that
- 17:55it starts affecting your ability to truly enjoy the moment.
- 18:01You've planted that first tree and now think of the new tree
- 18:08that sex without alcohol means you can enjoy intimacy more than
- 18:17ever before. I want you to get a sense.
- 18:21Then there's sometimes that you've been intimate under the
- 18:28influence of alcohol and you can't even remember if it was
- 18:35enjoyable or not because it was so forgettable that you weren't
- 18:40mindful. True mindfulness means being
- 18:48fully present and in the moment, and I wonder how good it would
- 18:55feel to imagine going forwards in time but taking these new
- 19:02beliefs with you. The belief that you don't need
- 19:07alcohol. You could have more fun, more
- 19:14pleasure without alcohol than with it, and just allow your
- 19:19imagination to give you a taste of a future.
- 19:28Maybe you could imagine yourself in a bar or restaurant and by
- 19:33not drinking you're having more fun.
- 19:40Or maybe you could imagine a future where you have more sex,
- 19:46better sex, and more pleasure because alcohol isn't required.
- 19:55If you can get a glimpse of these futures, and these futures
- 20:00feel appealing to you, let me know about nodding your head.
- 20:05That's it. For a while now, you've hold on
- 20:11to a belief like Dumbo's Feather that you needed alcohol when you
- 20:18never did. Just like Dumbo was able to fly
- 20:24without the feather, you will able to enjoy more by not
- 20:31needing alcohol. And when you truly don't need
- 20:36it, then whenever you do drink it, it's from a place of simply
- 20:43wanting to but not needing to, giving you the ability to be
- 20:48more discerning, to drink slower, to really mindfully
- 20:54enjoy the taste but not feel that you need it.
- 21:00When people are using alcohol as a form of self medication, they
- 21:06drink it quick, not paying attention to taste and normally
- 21:12drink too much. Because with medication, if one
- 21:17pill is good, then 2 pills are better.
- 21:20But what if you don't need the pills at all?
- 21:24What if you don't need alcohol, you just thought you did, And
- 21:29the more you think about that, the truer it becomes.
- 21:34I want you to imagine feeling like you're returning back to
- 21:44the garden or the park, staring into that pond, feeling that
- 21:49you've created a bridge from the evidence of your past into the
- 21:55version of you in your future. And it makes you feel relaxed
- 22:03that this isn't just a possibility, but that it is an
- 22:08inevitability. And the more you experience more
- 22:15joy, more fun, and more pleasure without alcohol, the more that
- 22:20belief becomes reinforced, giving you even more fun, even
- 22:25more pleasure, and even more enjoyment.
- 22:31So as you leave that pond, you imagine walking back, seeing the
- 22:39analytical part of you working on a puzzle, and as you look
- 22:44over their shoulder, you can see the puzzle taking shape.
- 22:51I want you to see an image in that puzzle of you in the near
- 22:54future, in a situation that before you would have needed
- 23:00alcohol, but now you don't see that future version of you
- 23:09enjoying something more because alcohol isn't present.
- 23:17Nick dawns on you that this puzzle was clear all along to
- 23:25change that thing you've been using as a crutch by now,
- 23:30believing that it was a barrier. A barrier to fun, a barrier to
- 23:36pleasure, not the stepping stone towards it.
- 23:41The more you entertain that thought, the truer it becomes,
- 23:45creating an insatiable desire to find evidence so you know that
- 23:52it becomes true. Step into that analytical
- 23:58version of you and leave the finished puzzle and walk towards
- 24:03that conscious part, fast asleep there in a chair.
- 24:07And then step into that version of you feeling that all parts
- 24:13are now integrated and as you leave the chair you can see you
- 24:21can see 2 new trees there in the garden or the park that weren't
- 24:24there before. New beliefs.
- 24:29Beliefs abound. What truly enables you to have
- 24:35more fun, enjoyment and comfort? I want you to leave that park,
- 24:45that garden, and feel like you're floating all the way back
- 24:48to the present moment, to the here and the now.
- 24:55That's it. Very soon I will count from 1:00
- 24:58to 10:00 to awaken you. But take a deep breath in
- 25:02through your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:08Start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 25:10Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 25:14from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:19Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8.
- 25:28Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910.
- 25:31Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
