- 0:08Speaker 1: Ladies and boys and girls, you are live with Bang of podcastvideoscom.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This is Story Scaling Terminal Left I have.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm Bob Parker.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Nathan and Dan.
- 0:24Speaker 3: As far as I have, I'm Bob Arthur, Nathan and Dan.
- 0:25Speaker 3: As far as.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I know, yeah, we got some really really interesting research that just dropped.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Take it away.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, this one's, this episode's, gonna be a little more focused on what we actually do here when we're not goofing around in front of the cameras.
- 0:39Speaker 3: You know, obviously we're really heavy into video podcasts, yeah, yeah, although the podcast was born as more of an audio thing almost radio archives on demand, uh, but edison research they're a big name in audio visual research.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Uh, just dropped the other day, uh, some some news that.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Uh, some some news that.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Basically, they took our business model and said, hey, works.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Uh, they said 79 percent of people listening to podcasts are choosing a video podcast 79.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Now, not all of them are necessarily actively watching the video in front of them.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Some of them will pick up the video based one set, the speaker side, whatever, and they don't listen.
- 1:25Speaker 3: They're listening but they're not watching.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but they're still consuming the video.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and of course, that still leaves quite a few people listening only with audio.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was this entire release in medicine was only one graphic and about three paragraphs long.
- 1:41Speaker 3: It said but use the video anyway, record it with video, because even if you're not putting the video out with your podcast, even if you're, you know, using just audio only or a standard static piece of art.
- 1:55Speaker 3: When you put it on YouTube, it is the foundation for the shorter clips, the social media that's going to push your reach, that's going to push your outreach in various platforms.
- 2:06Speaker 3: It's like wow.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I couldn't have written that better myself.
- 2:12Speaker 3: In fact, that sounds like the way I would, for is it because that's exactly what we've been trying to tell everyone?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Right turns out, we're right, guys.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean, humans are just visual in nature, right.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I mean the inflections people make when they're communicating is what draws you in.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That's how you, you get the additional engagement.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Um, the additional engagement, yeah, using my hand, right, so I mean you, you can tell I'm serious because I'm using my ass.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Um, but just just, the way humans relate to each other is through visual connections.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Um, it's if you look at it from a societal standpoint.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I mean the platforms that people are using are telling you that video is the key, right, I mean Instagram, youtube, facebook everything is going to video, shorts, reels.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But on the corporate level as well, you know, we're in a period right now where it's all about coming back to the office, and they're doing that because of the personal relationships that you build through that face-to-face communication, not just being on a phone or being at the end of an email.
- 3:23Speaker 2: So it's our time, if you pay attention to what's going on, is supporting all this as well.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, that's one of my biggest things, you know, doing sales and business development with people is when we get them in.
- 3:36Speaker 4: You know, how do we?
- 3:39Speaker 4: What's the value of doing this, you know?
- 3:42Speaker 4: I mean, yes, there are you know, it's in our name podcast videos like our on our core.
- 3:45Speaker 4: It's podcasting, you know, but in reality it's audio video content.
- 3:49Speaker 4: You know, and it's say you own a company, cool, what's your company do?
- 3:52Speaker 4: Oh, well, I'm in construction, for example.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Okay, well, there's 30 construction companies probably way more in Northwest Arkansas.
- 3:59Speaker 4: What sets you apart from all of them?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Well, these are our portfolio.
- 4:04Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Like, oh, it's on your website, neat, but I may not really dig into that or don't really tell me about who you are, you know.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So there's the ways that you can utilize.
- 4:14Speaker 4: You know, this particular space audio video content as a whole is when you really get down into the nails of it.
- 4:20Speaker 4: It's you've got a company, this is what you do.
- 4:22Speaker 4: You've got a little about us page, Very cool.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But I would rather watch a 10 or 15 minute video of you and your leadership team or your ownership team, whatever it looks like, talking about what you do, because now, if I'm a customer, potential customer of yours, I can now see who you are.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I know what you sound like.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Potential customer of yours I can now see who you are.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I know what you sound like, I know what your mannerisms are, and you've instantly, like you just mentioned, you kind of created that familiarity already.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Well, it helps to build trust, yeah absolutely does.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, I imagine if a picture is a thousand words and a video has to be a million.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and it's just like I wouldn't have known that you know in this short time that research would be so staggering, like 80% of people are watching it, even if, didn't they say, even if it was passively.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah, some of them are just putting on the video on their phone, setting it down.
- 5:12Speaker 3: They're not looking at the video at all.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Youtube we were just looking at this earlier YouTube actually can set up a phone that just has a static piece of art.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yep, and you're essentially using youtube as a distribution channel.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah, for audio as well as for video.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Yep, and that just really plays into, you know, the marketing side of things.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Everybody wants to.
- 5:32Speaker 4: If it's a personal, if it's for a personal podcast, obviously you want to market it, get it out there.
- 5:36Speaker 4: You want to get more people to listen to it.
- 5:37Speaker 4: If it it's from a business side of things, it's all about discoverability.
- 5:40Speaker 4: You're already in here spending, and I tell those people all the time and it kind of makes a light bulb click.
- 5:45Speaker 4: A lot is imagine doing all of your marketing for an entire month in one hour of studio time and in reality you can do that.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You come in kind of 40, 50 hour long podcast.
- 5:56Speaker 4: You can easily get that original content for one, but you're going to easily get 20, 30, 40 social media snippets out of that.
- 6:04Speaker 4: That's one a day and you've taken one hour of your time to come in and sit down and do it and you now have a post a day going out on socials and it's just like that.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Roi is incredible Instead of going out and getting a graphic and doing this and doing that.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Now you can kind of streamline all of that.
- 6:20Speaker 4: You can still do all that other stuff as well, but, as we've learned with social stuff, it's all about that frequency and that number of content that's going out.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Just imagine having a video ready to go every single day that you can just pop on and post along with everything else you're already doing.
- 6:34Speaker 4: It's just that more chance to get in front of people.
- 6:36Speaker 3: And the biggest pain point for a lot of people we've heard this over and over is I get video, I've got it edited.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Software is so hard to learn.
- 6:43Speaker 3: I mean, you're a pro with it, parker, but I would mangle something to a point of unrecognizable very quickly.
- 6:52Speaker 3: A lot of people would.
- 6:54Speaker 3: That's why we decided to offer entity that really removes a barrier for a lot of people that either what they would put out would be very low quality or they end up frustrated and just quit.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, that's what you got over there.
- 7:14Speaker 4: You know from an SEO value, being the web guy, what's the the added value?
- 7:16Speaker 4: I know I think you're on the spot here of having video.
- 7:18Speaker 5: No, it's.
- 7:18Speaker 5: That's good because google recently came out with um.
- 7:22Speaker 5: There's been evidence that shows having video on your site, especially if it's uh, tied to what're posting.
- 7:31Speaker 5: If you have article content like our current website's, heavily article-based and if you have a video to supplement that B, personally I'm going to be more drawn to watch that video than read the article.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Yep, but if you have that video content, then Google's going to suggest your content more and that shows the importance of video on a website.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I put a short piece up on podcastvideoscom about this research and of course I ended it with a little bit of a musical.
- 8:06Speaker 3: We're not the first people to try something new with videos and MTV back in the day decided music videos on tv would be a good idea, so I linked to.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Bob might be the only one left now.
- 8:20Speaker 3: This what's the song?
- 8:21Speaker 3: The very first one they ever played.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Oh, I'm not that old man, I'm not very much, sir.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Video killed the radio.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Dang, that's my name, he knows his music.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He does know his music.
- 8:33Speaker 1: He knows his music.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Now we know which episode we've got to put out first, because our last one, recording-wise, was Describe Ourselves in Three, so we've got to make sure that one's out.
- 8:43Speaker 3: So through with Nathan.
- 8:44Speaker 3: That makes sense now, more suddenly.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, Probably go.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Why do people need podcast videoscom in light of?
- 8:53Speaker 4: everything that we're talking about right now.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I mean, you've heard my tour and sales pitch.
- 8:56Speaker 4: It's long.
- 8:56Speaker 4: How long time will you go on this?
- 8:57Speaker 4: You got an hour.
- 9:00Speaker 4: No, friday afternoon elevator pitch yeah, 30 second elevator.
- 9:04Speaker 4: The biggest thing is, like I just mentioned, imagine doing a month's worth of marketing in an hour of studio time, especially if you come in and we do the editing for you.
- 9:13Speaker 4: You can walk in, you can schedule with your guests, which is really easy.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Meet here.
- 9:17Speaker 4: It's a professional location, it's clean, it looks good.
- 9:19Speaker 4: You come in, you record, we take care of all your editing 48, 72 hours later and it's ready to go.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I mean, it's as simple as that.
- 9:26Speaker 4: So if you really sacrifice call it two hours of your time you can get a month's worth of content for your socials and marketing and everything else.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Moving forward in that short amount of time and fire content, oh yeah, absolutely.
- 9:39Speaker 4: I mean that's the view depends on your content that you're talking about, but I mean we're supposed to light their content on fire.
- 9:45Speaker 3: It's already on fire when they come.
- 9:47Speaker 1: When they come here, it's already on fire ready we got.
- 9:50Speaker 4: We might get in trouble with the fire marshal, but we'd give it a shot man, but it's just that and then it's just.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You know it's thinking outside the box of how to use it.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I mean, if you're a company, you've got training videos, you can do that you can use Instead of sending a long company email.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Okay, cool, all your employees might read it.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Or you might go over it in a meeting but Come in and cut a video out.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Hey guys, watch this 20-minute video Doing some stuff with universities.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Add it to your curriculum.
- 10:13Speaker 4: If you're a professor, I mean you know how kids are these days, especially even us.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I mean we're not really near college age, except for Nathan.
- 10:25Speaker 4: But in reality, if you've made me do a 20-minute read on something, but if you give me a little 15, 20-minute video, I'm going to breeze through that pretty quick.
- 10:35Speaker 4: That's no big deal.
- 10:36Speaker 4: So there's so many ways that you can use a training videos course, curriculum, birthday, birthdays, that kind of stuff.
- 10:40Speaker 4: People use it because it's just interesting conversations, but then it's just evergreen content like it's never gonna.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Where did I save that google doc at?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Oh, it's on my youtube page.
- 10:48Speaker 4: There.
- 10:49Speaker 4: It is right there.
- 10:49Speaker 4: So it's just a way to kind of keep everything more at hand and handily.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Um, it's just there's so many ways you can use it and I feel like we do a good job of helping people discover that.
- 10:59Speaker 4: But I also do feel like every day there's something new that can be used.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I mean, there's people I talk to all the time.
- 11:04Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, you got a company I talked with the other day.
- 11:07Speaker 4: They're doing a draft for a sports league that they're doing and they wanted to actually come in and do that draft like you would see on TV.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Oh wow, so they could actually then do it, put it on YouTube, then everyone sees their draft order Like it's a lifetime draft.
- 11:21Speaker 4: So it's like there's just so many ways that you can utilize the space, yeah, and so that's the importance of us being able to provide a space that makes a turnkey for everyone.
- 11:29Speaker 4: You know you don't have to get everything custom set up.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Let me check your angles, all that stuff.
- 11:33Speaker 4: It's all ready to go, yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And you can just sit the mobile how we'll pull up on you to put it yeah, we ain't even gonna get into that.
- 11:47Speaker 1: That's all kind of stuff.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah, next episode.
- 11:48Speaker 1: All right, guys, thanks for your time.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Feel good about it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: See you next time.
- 11:49Speaker 1: We'll be back for more soon.
- 11:50Speaker 1: We'll be back soon.
- 11:50Speaker 4: We're setting, yeah come in for a tour.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Always all right, hi guys.
