- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Walcome to move the sticks? DJ, Bucky,
- 0:10Speaker 1: Rhett back with you as we Uh, we've got a
- 0:12Speaker 1: rookie draft coming up in a little bit. We've got
- 0:14Speaker 1: a Monday night game to get to. But uh, Buck,
- 0:17Speaker 1: I don't know if it's Do you think it is
- 0:19Speaker 1: just the Indiana performance? Why Red's been in such a
- 0:22Speaker 1: good mood, Like is it? I mean, Kane is not pregnant?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Is she?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Like? What? Oh?
- 0:26Speaker 4: Thanks thanks for throwing that into the universe.
- 0:29Speaker 1: But no, I mean I mean why not?
- 0:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:35Speaker 5: No, just yeah, yeah, just basketing the glow of you know,
- 0:39Speaker 5: eight to no and uh, probably another rookie Draft win,
- 0:42Speaker 5: so I know.
- 0:43Speaker 1: We're gonna get to that. Somehow Redd has found his way.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Is this the first time you've been in first place
- 0:47Speaker 1: since we've been doing the rookie Draft?
- 0:48Speaker 4: I mean after winning last year?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you did not win last year. Stop we didn't.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We've already gone over this, We've already covered this ground.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Oh sorry, right, come on, all right, it's time for
- 0:59Speaker 1: the lead block, presented by T Mobile for Business. Football
- 1:02Speaker 1: needs a network willing to go the extra yard. So
- 1:04Speaker 1: do you go further with T Mobile for business? So
- 1:07Speaker 1: leading off here Giants, Steelers, Buck, I'll get to you
- 1:11Speaker 1: first because I mean, I don't think anybody can question
- 1:15Speaker 1: Mike Tomlin when it comes to the quarterback decision. I
- 1:18Speaker 1: think they put that to bed.
- 1:21Speaker 2: How about knowing your team and knowing exactly what your
- 1:23Speaker 2: team needs to get to the next level. He rolls
- 1:27Speaker 2: the dice. Despite Justin Field's playing pretty well, he rose
- 1:30Speaker 2: the dice puts Russell Wilson in lives through an uneven
- 1:34Speaker 2: first half performance against the Jets, and in the last
- 1:38Speaker 2: what three halves, he has been outstanding. I mean, he
- 1:41Speaker 2: has been terrific. It has expanded and open up the playbook.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We've seen George Pickens, Calvin Austin make big plays.
- 1:47Speaker 3: It opens up the running game.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Russell Wilson has given them exactly what they were hoping
- 1:53Speaker 2: to get when they put him in there.
- 1:54Speaker 3: That veteran savvy and leadership.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And by the way, maybe Russell still can play a
- 1:58Speaker 2: little bit when we port to dirt on him when
- 2:00Speaker 2: he was endeavored.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd say the same thing.
- 2:04Speaker 5: I mean, it feels a lot like last week for Pittsburgh,
- 2:08Speaker 5: where you know, we also saw, you know, perhaps Russell's
- 2:11Speaker 5: ability in the past game unlock what the Steelers really
- 2:14Speaker 5: want to do, and that's run the football with Najie Harris,
- 2:16Speaker 5: you know, average about five and a half yards of
- 2:18Speaker 5: pop one hundred and fourteen yards and nineteen carries. You know,
- 2:21Speaker 5: Jalen Warren involved in that aspect of it too, and
- 2:26Speaker 5: they're getting healthier along the offensive line, which.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Probably helps a little bit too.
- 2:31Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean from the Steelers side of things,
- 2:33Speaker 5: and we can you know, you guys want to get
- 2:35Speaker 5: to the Giants thing. I you know, got something that
- 2:37Speaker 5: I think we should we should probably talk about on
- 2:38Speaker 5: that front too.
- 2:39Speaker 4: But yeah, for the Steelers, I mean this just this
- 2:41Speaker 4: continues to make sense.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll get back to you on the Giants here
- 2:44Speaker 1: in just a second. My take on Russ going back
- 2:46Speaker 1: watching that on tape this morning, I feel like I
- 2:48Speaker 1: saw all three versions of Russ in that game. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: saw the early career Russ, which was deep play action,
- 2:55Speaker 1: getting way away from the center, movement on boots, just
- 2:59Speaker 1: get him out out of the pocket and let him,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know, survey the field and deliver the ball. So
- 3:03Speaker 1: that was like the early Russ. Then remember when Russ's like, Okay,
- 3:06Speaker 1: now we're gonna, you know, let Russ cook and we're
- 3:08Speaker 1: gonna put him in the gun and chuck it. And
- 3:09Speaker 1: he had some big years doing that. There was elements
- 3:12Speaker 1: of that where he's in there kind of just pick
- 3:14Speaker 1: and stick from the shotgun to that version. And then
- 3:17Speaker 1: I saw still like there's a there's a handful of
- 3:20Speaker 1: plays where you kind of saw old Russ like maybe
- 3:22Speaker 1: Bronco Bruss. We're just like he threw a couple of
- 3:25Speaker 1: worm burners, held the ball a little bit like, you know,
- 3:28Speaker 1: so he kind of got the like to see all
- 3:30Speaker 1: the different iterations I should say of Russell Wilson. But
- 3:34Speaker 1: I do think that, you know, the best way to
- 3:37Speaker 1: do it is what they're doing with the original Russ,
- 3:39Speaker 1: which is the deep play action, the boots getting to
- 3:43Speaker 1: dump the ball off to those huge tight ends. You
- 3:46Speaker 1: know that that works. That fits. That feels like Steeler
- 3:49Speaker 1: football to me when I watched that book.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So what this feels like is dim channeling Russell's early
- 3:57Speaker 2: days in Seattle and hoping that he can tap into
- 3:59Speaker 2: the experience to help a I would say a fairly
- 4:02Speaker 2: young offense learn how to win. When Russell was playing
- 4:05Speaker 2: with that version with Marshawn Lynch and those things. It
- 4:07Speaker 2: was game manager Russ. It was play action pass Russ.
- 4:10Speaker 2: It was making an occasional play with his feet to
- 4:13Speaker 2: make it happen. And even though he doesn't have the athleticism,
- 4:16Speaker 2: I think he's very comfortable doing that.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I also think he's.
- 4:19Speaker 2: At a point where, from a humility standpoint, he understands
- 4:23Speaker 2: that this is the best way for him to play
- 4:25Speaker 2: if he wants to extend and cement his legacy. I've
- 4:29Speaker 2: always believed that this was a legacy play for Russ.
- 4:32Speaker 2: If he succeeds in Pittsburgh, if he leads him to
- 4:35Speaker 2: a super Bowl, the gold jacket that we were beginning
- 4:38Speaker 2: to take off of him, the gold jacket goes right
- 4:40Speaker 2: back on. And so to me, I think he's more
- 4:43Speaker 2: willing to buy in than he had been in other situations.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say that that probably makes sense too.
- 4:50Speaker 5: And you know, I thought this game kind of mimicked,
- 4:52Speaker 5: you know, a little bit of as you were going
- 4:54Speaker 5: back through the phases of what we saw last week
- 4:56Speaker 5: and that you know last week your first half, You're like,
- 5:00Speaker 5: was this the right call? But it does feel like
- 5:02Speaker 5: you're work you know, a week over week, you're working
- 5:05Speaker 5: a little bit less of Denver RUSS, a little bit
- 5:07Speaker 5: more of early Seattle RUSS, and so that I'm really
- 5:11Speaker 5: curious to see how this thing kind of continues to
- 5:13Speaker 5: take shape now as we get into you know, three
- 5:15Speaker 5: four or five weeks down the road with Pittsburgh. One
- 5:19Speaker 5: thing I would say on the defensive side of the
- 5:20Speaker 5: ball is, you know, that was kind of It's kind
- 5:23Speaker 5: of interesting to see a banged up you know, Giants
- 5:25Speaker 5: offensive line definitely had their problems pass protecting again, especially
- 5:29Speaker 5: on the left side with Chris Hubbard in there.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yikes, that was that was bad.
- 5:35Speaker 5: But that Steelers defense gave up, you know, some serious
- 5:39Speaker 5: yardage in a run game to Tyrone Tracy, which is
- 5:42Speaker 5: something that I wasn't necessarily expecting going into this thing.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to I want to get to the
- 5:47Speaker 1: Giants side of things here. Tarrow Tracy went and watched
- 5:49Speaker 1: those runs. It is interesting just the just the threat
- 5:53Speaker 1: of Daniel Jones. And we'll have the Daniel Jones conversation
- 5:55Speaker 1: here in a second, but just the threat of him
- 5:57Speaker 1: as a runner does help. The Backs held almost all
- 6:01Speaker 1: those runs. We're on zone reads and you have to
- 6:04Speaker 1: account for Daniel Jones on the back side, so you
- 6:06Speaker 1: get cutback runs and you have no cutback support because
- 6:09Speaker 1: they got to camp out in case. Daniel Jones has
- 6:11Speaker 1: the football. So that's one of the impacts that he has.
- 6:14Speaker 1: He touched on the offensive line issues. You look, milnk
- 6:17Speaker 1: Nabors did some good things, Tyrone Tracy. You get the
- 6:19Speaker 1: two rookies out there making plays. Those are positive signs,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but it does feel like, you know, look, they're not
- 6:25Speaker 1: winning games. Daniel Jones production wise has not been there.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And I'm going to spin it forward to the positive
- 6:31Speaker 1: side of things. And i want to see where you
- 6:33Speaker 1: guys are at on this, because if in talking to
- 6:37Speaker 1: teams around the league, the consensus is this next class,
- 6:39Speaker 1: this rookie quarterback class, it's just okay. And I'm getting
- 6:42Speaker 1: a chance to just get started on that. We'll have
- 6:44Speaker 1: more on that as we get close to the spring,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but the popular opinion is, hey, we're trying to find
- 6:50Speaker 1: the next Baker Sam Darnold, like we want to the
- 6:53Speaker 1: Geno Smith. We want to get somebody that we can
- 6:55Speaker 1: the resurrection the Resurrection a candidate. And I'm sitting here
- 7:00Speaker 1: gone is that the sneaky one I know the money
- 7:04Speaker 1: needs the money, but like, if Daniel Jones gets out
- 7:07Speaker 1: of New York and go somewhere, maybe a little less pressure,
- 7:09Speaker 1: maybe a little more support. Maybe the three p's are
- 7:11Speaker 1: there to help him buck Like is he gonna is
- 7:14Speaker 1: he got a chance to be a reclamation project.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I think it's a great guy to target, and I
- 7:19Speaker 2: think you catch him at the right time, get him
- 7:21Speaker 2: out of New York, get him on what would be
- 7:23Speaker 2: a team friendly deal. Have your quarterback gurus pay attention
- 7:27Speaker 2: to what he does well. Because he's athletic enough, he's
- 7:30Speaker 2: smart enough, he's tough enough. He's shown the toughness. Now
- 7:33Speaker 2: it's about putting him in a situation where he can
- 7:34Speaker 2: have success. I can't say fully that he's been given
- 7:38Speaker 2: everything that he needs to be successful in New York,
- 7:41Speaker 2: Like they've.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Never really had a top notch wide receiver.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they get them eleaked neighbors now, but then the
- 7:47Speaker 2: rest of the team is not what it needs to be.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Put him in a situation on a I would say
- 7:51Speaker 2: a good team, a team that needs imagine Daniel Jones
- 7:55Speaker 2: playing for the Raiders, like if they got a wide
- 7:57Speaker 2: receiver whatever, Like a team that needs someone that can
- 8:00Speaker 2: be a stabilizing force at the quarterbackquisition.
- 8:03Speaker 3: He has value. So for all the people that are.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Poop point on Daniel Jones, he is going to be
- 8:08Speaker 2: one of those guys that plays much better in his
- 8:10Speaker 2: next destination than he did in his previous destination.
- 8:13Speaker 5: That's actually an interesting one. But you know, I don't
- 8:15Speaker 5: know that there's a Minnesota Vikings laying around, you know,
- 8:18Speaker 5: for for Daniel Jones to walk into with a really
- 8:20Speaker 5: good situation, a really good football team that way, the Raiders,
- 8:24Speaker 5: you know, is one to kind of think about on
- 8:26Speaker 5: that front. But obviously, you know, he's not gonna want
- 8:28Speaker 5: to end up in Carolina, Like you don't want to.
- 8:30Speaker 5: You don't want to go through that kind of stuff
- 8:32Speaker 5: again where you're you know, you're you're the guy that's
- 8:34Speaker 5: trying to hold this thing up and you got nothing else.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Uh no beams, no pillars, no, no, you know, load
- 8:40Speaker 5: bearing situation there beneath you.
- 8:43Speaker 4: So yeah, I think that's something to watch.
- 8:46Speaker 5: But you know, for this version of the Giants, like
- 8:48Speaker 5: they have to play perfect games in order to win,
- 8:51Speaker 5: like they're so deficient in so many areas, like you
- 8:54Speaker 5: can't have eleven penalties and you can't give up a
- 8:56Speaker 5: special team's touchdown, you're gonna lose. It's just like they
- 8:58Speaker 5: have to play so clean to win football games. Their
- 9:02Speaker 5: margin for error is so much smaller, and in so
- 9:04Speaker 5: many of these games you can't have those mistakes. Now,
- 9:07Speaker 5: you could say that it might have been roughing the
- 9:08Speaker 5: punter on that punt return score. I would probably agree
- 9:11Speaker 5: with you on that, but still I don't know that
- 9:13Speaker 5: the punter was going to go stop the guy from
- 9:15Speaker 5: returning the thing for a touchdown, Like you got to
- 9:17Speaker 5: go out there and do that. So I think there's
- 9:20Speaker 5: there's some things to think about on that front. If
- 9:22Speaker 5: the Giants want to try to, you know, make something
- 9:24Speaker 5: out of this season, which increasingly feels like another loss
- 9:26Speaker 5: to them.
- 9:26Speaker 1: There well, I don't know how. I mean if Joe
- 9:29Speaker 1: Flaka once played at least fifty or not, But he's
- 9:31Speaker 1: another one. The Anthony Richardson thing, you know, is not
- 9:34Speaker 1: going great. And if I was Daniel Jones, if I
- 9:37Speaker 1: was his agent, that would be the one that I'd
- 9:39Speaker 1: be targeting. That's a good one Inlis somehow, that's a
- 9:43Speaker 1: good one.
- 9:43Speaker 2: That's a good one, not only because of what they
- 9:46Speaker 2: have said, but Shane Stikeen has shown that he can
- 9:48Speaker 2: work with the athletic quarterback and have a lot of
- 9:50Speaker 2: suces just looking to work that he did with Jalen Hurts,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and we could say he's.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And he's more refined than Anthony Richardson is past. So
- 9:56Speaker 1: I mean, obviously Anthony Richard's an athlete, but the passing
- 9:59Speaker 1: stuff is.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the passing stuff, and so that is a good location.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So you're right if I'm Daniel Jones, I've not been
- 10:06Speaker 2: out of shape over the rumors and the conjecture about
- 10:08Speaker 2: them needing a quarterback. I have my representatives trying to
- 10:11Speaker 2: target what's the next place for me to be able
- 10:14Speaker 2: to have an opportunity to go. New Orleans will be
- 10:17Speaker 2: interesting to watch as we continue to go down the line.
- 10:20Speaker 3: The team isn't great.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm an affair. I'm with you on that.
- 10:25Speaker 5: It's to me that one's kind of similar to the Raiders,
- 10:28Speaker 5: like they need more. They just need more, you know,
- 10:30Speaker 5: to help a quarterback that's not at the upper team.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But the thing is when you sign, like if you
- 10:34Speaker 1: go out and Daniel Jones on the market, you don't
- 10:36Speaker 1: give up a pick for him, you sign him. You're
- 10:38Speaker 1: the Raiders. The Raiders have a top ten pick. Now,
- 10:42Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you go out and you get
- 10:43Speaker 1: a you know, a steady receiver and free agency you
- 10:47Speaker 1: use a top ten ish pick on, you know, and
- 10:50Speaker 1: maybe it's you know, a receiver.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Maybe maybe just.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Something to put pair up with Brock Bowers. I mean
- 10:56Speaker 1: we've seen things. The picture can change pretty quick, that's right. Offensive,
- 11:00Speaker 1: So you know, he's gonna be interesting one. I'm I
- 11:03Speaker 1: think that's gonna be a good topic for us as
- 11:05Speaker 1: we go into the spring, though, is who are those candidates?
- 11:08Speaker 1: You know, who are those veteran guys that teams are
- 11:10Speaker 1: going to be looking at.
- 11:11Speaker 5: So somebody to give Joe a shot, like, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 5: the tail end of his career. Yeah, he kind of
- 11:17Speaker 5: fits that bill right now.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah, no question, that would be interesting to see. And
- 11:22Speaker 1: uh and maybe Jamis just settles in uh with Cleveland.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Who knows. That's gonna be interesting one to follow. I'm
- 11:28Speaker 1: going to I'll be out there this week, so I'll
- 11:30Speaker 1: give you a little update. Yeah, Team against the Charges.
- 11:32Speaker 1: That's a wrap for the lead block presented by Tea
- 11:34Speaker 1: Mobile for Business. Football needs a network willing to go
- 11:37Speaker 1: to the extra yard, and so do you go further
- 11:39Speaker 1: with T Mobile for business? All right, what's a quick break?
- 11:42Speaker 1: We come back. Well, we'll catch up on the results
- 11:45Speaker 1: from last week's rookie draft. Uh spoiler alert not great
- 11:48Speaker 1: for me and uh and we'll have a new one
- 11:50Speaker 1: for this coming week right after this. All right, uh rtt,
- 11:58Speaker 1: you're cooking, man, you're cooking with the ass eight points
- 12:01Speaker 1: for you. Last week? I got Buck, he got one
- 12:04Speaker 1: but one what point?
- 12:08Speaker 3: I know?
- 12:08Speaker 1: But Buck, you're still you're still handling me. Rhett gets
- 12:11Speaker 1: into the lead. He's got thirty four thirty four points.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Bucky is one behind him at thirty three. I'm bringing
- 12:18Speaker 1: up the rear at twenty nine. So I've got some
- 12:21Speaker 1: work to do here. By the way, the bill, I mean,
- 12:23Speaker 1: you got me second place points there without me being
- 12:26Speaker 1: here last week. I give you a credit for that. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I can't even I can't even say anything negative because
- 12:32Speaker 1: that probably done worse.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Fucking I thought I had Bonnicks. I thought Bicks had
- 12:37Speaker 3: a good game for me.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I had Nicks, I think right that had.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Bix, Red had Bonex, Bucky. You had Caleb Pierce all
- 12:45Speaker 1: on a doonsday.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's bad. That's a bad day. That's bad.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Office was a rough day for you, it was for sure. Well,
- 12:53Speaker 1: hopefully Drake may is playing this week. See what goes
- 12:58Speaker 1: on there coming off with a concussion, Rhett, it goes
- 13:00Speaker 1: rhtt myself, Bucky. Yeah, so we have buys to keep
- 13:05Speaker 1: an eye on. We have Steelers Niners, So no grendo
- 13:10Speaker 1: for you. Rhtt.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Fair enough there enough, Okay, go get them.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'm gonna I know, I was just gonna
- 13:18Speaker 1: take you.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Tough one. This is a tough one.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Hopefully the Ribs are feeling a little bit better for
- 13:26Speaker 5: our friend Jayden Daniels as.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You're going to say.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Here's the interesting part though, I'm thinking about it, but
- 13:33Speaker 5: bo Nix is playing a Ravens team that just got
- 13:36Speaker 5: torched by Jamis Winston.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Not good.
- 13:39Speaker 5: I don't think that Sean Payton is going to opt
- 13:42Speaker 5: for that type of down the field attack with Bow
- 13:45Speaker 5: the way that Kevin Stefanski did with Jamis. And I
- 13:50Speaker 5: feel like Baltimore is going to try to figure something
- 13:52Speaker 5: out this week on defense. So I am going to
- 13:56Speaker 5: go with Jayden Daniels against this Giants defense that has struggle.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Okay, I respect that. I'm gonna I'm gonna go to
- 14:05Speaker 1: a guy who's gonna be playing in that game. I'm
- 14:07Speaker 1: gonna go to the other side, and uh, let's just
- 14:10Speaker 1: let's just stay with neighbors. Let's just keep riding that one.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go myleak neighbors buck.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Mm hmm, Okay, well that's a lot of fun. I'm
- 14:19Speaker 2: gonna go with Marvin Harrison Jr. Because he's going off
- 14:23Speaker 2: a nice game at the party. He's back showing up
- 14:25Speaker 2: at the party.
- 14:26Speaker 4: And then I guess, gim tyree Stevenson going at it
- 14:29Speaker 4: this week.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Steve certainly, uh it got a nice slice of humble pie.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I'm sure he will be best behavior if he's on
- 14:41Speaker 2: the field at all, given the circumstances. And then I
- 14:44Speaker 2: guess I'm have to follow it up. I'm gonna take
- 14:47Speaker 2: I guess I'm take Caleb coming back.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Caleb, all right, Okay, same game, same game.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah that uh freeze me up. I'm gonna go give me,
- 14:57Speaker 1: give me Brock Bowers and his fifty targets that come
- 15:00Speaker 1: to him every week.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Wanted that one.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Gotta have a big week, guys, gotta have a big
- 15:05Speaker 1: week this week. I gotta get back in this go ahead
- 15:08Speaker 1: red double up.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Okay, double up here, let's take a look at at
- 15:16Speaker 5: where we're at. You know, give me Lad McConkey, give
- 15:24Speaker 5: me Lad mcconkee. He's really coming on. Love the game
- 15:27Speaker 5: he had last week. I was a Bucky. If Bucky
- 15:30Speaker 5: would have went Bowers, I was going with Ladd. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 5: so I'm going Lad and then you know, I want
- 15:35Speaker 5: I mean bt J, I mean, what's the do you
- 15:37Speaker 5: gotta you got an interest for us?
- 15:39Speaker 1: I think that he could be down. Bucky's not allowed
- 15:41Speaker 1: to say anything there, but he could be down that.
- 15:45Speaker 3: He's gonna go.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Okay, go to go take him?
- 15:49Speaker 3: Got it? Big game coming.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Then let me go back to the well.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Oh shoot, hold on, you got the bucks going, I
- 15:56Speaker 5: got the Bucks going up against the Chiefs.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to get a little Bucky Irving actions out.
- 16:02Speaker 4: We're looking for That's what I'm looking for. I'm looking
- 16:06Speaker 4: for that.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You know, Tyrone Tracy, Huh, we've one alone off a
- 16:09Speaker 1: buck forty five.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Forty five perdue. Guy.
- 16:13Speaker 5: That's a tough one for me. Guys, Yeah, that's a
- 16:16Speaker 5: hard one for me. All right, Yeah, you know what,
- 16:19Speaker 5: let's go back. Wait, hold on, Tracy went out, didn't
- 16:22Speaker 5: he go out?
- 16:22Speaker 4: Of that game.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I don't know, I can't remember.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I mean one of us, three of
- 16:28Speaker 1: us on one of the three of us on this
- 16:30Speaker 1: show is concussion.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Questions, Keevvy, Bucky Irving, let's go.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I mean Bucky. Yeah, Now, I forget who who would
- 16:46Speaker 3: you take? You took Black Bowers and who next I got?
- 16:48Speaker 1: I'm taking bow Nicks.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I got bow Knicks, So he's got neighbors in the
- 16:53Speaker 5: last pick, I've got Maconkie and Irving.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Gosh, I feel like I need.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Do you Keon?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Keon Coleman, Baby?
- 17:03Speaker 3: I mean, are we really going to use him though?
- 17:04Speaker 2: If we're Buffalo, are we really going to use I
- 17:09Speaker 2: mean yeah, but was it garbage minutes?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Like garbage minutes.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I've got a I've got a thought on that in
- 17:14Speaker 1: a minute, here go oh Jalen Right.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Okay, no, okay, Let's just take Bill's mape because I'm
- 17:19Speaker 2: getting pummeled in much in my uh mentioned on Twitter
- 17:23Speaker 2: because of Buffalo Bill's things.
- 17:25Speaker 3: So let's take Kean cole Let's see if you can
- 17:26Speaker 3: do something.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm looking this up now because let's see raft class
- 17:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. I saw I saw a somebody to
- 17:37Speaker 1: tweeted this out and forgive me for not remembering who
- 17:40Speaker 1: it was, but said, okay, let's go. We got right here,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Keon Coleman Xavier Worthy. So Kean Coleman twenty two catches,
- 17:48Speaker 1: four hundred and eighteen yards, three touchdowns. Worthy twenty catches
- 17:52Speaker 1: two forty three three touchdowns. So you've got You've got
- 17:58Speaker 1: the production heavily in favor for if Keon Coleman. Keon
- 18:01Speaker 1: Coleman's got eleven explosives, Xavier Worthy has five. So do
- 18:05Speaker 1: the Bills get an apology from all the people on
- 18:08Speaker 1: social media that freaked out when they traded the pick
- 18:11Speaker 1: that ended up being Xavier Worthy when they got a
- 18:13Speaker 1: guy in Keon Coleman who actually is a you know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you can make a strong argument it's a better fit
- 18:18Speaker 1: for the city of Buffalo. The weather, the stadium, the quarterback,
- 18:21Speaker 1: all those things. Buck.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Yeah, they should get an apology.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I mean, look, Brandon being to those guys, and I'm
- 18:27Speaker 2: gonna say this, I thought the Buffalo Bills were going
- 18:29Speaker 2: to take a step back this year. Look, man, I'm
- 18:32Speaker 2: looking at them, and when they win, they are obliterating
- 18:35Speaker 2: teams like they are whipping people handily. And look the
- 18:40Speaker 2: addition of a Mario Cooper gave them a number one,
- 18:42Speaker 2: but I don't know if they're going to need him
- 18:44Speaker 2: to be a number one as they continue to get
- 18:46Speaker 2: down the end of the season.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I think he was a nice kind of like bridge
- 18:51Speaker 3: to win Kean Coleman.
- 18:52Speaker 2: And some of the other guys can develop and take
- 18:54Speaker 2: over because Khalish Kor and some of the other guys
- 18:56Speaker 2: are doing it. Yeah, so they don't need to apologize.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I think they need apologies issued to them for what
- 19:02Speaker 2: they decided to do with Xavier Worthy because I don't
- 19:04Speaker 2: think he was going to be a great fit up
- 19:05Speaker 2: the end it with.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, what did he end up here? Ended
- 19:10Speaker 5: up with a touchdown this last week? Right, five catches,
- 19:13Speaker 5: forty five yards and in the end Zime.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not saying I'm not saying he's been
- 19:18Speaker 1: a whiff for a bus, but I'm saying I'm saying
- 19:21Speaker 1: that guy has almost two hundred yards more receiving than
- 19:24Speaker 1: him at this point in time, and a couple more
- 19:26Speaker 1: catches and more explosive plays.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I'm with you on that. So I
- 19:33Speaker 5: wonder what what is Mari Cook? I mean, he had
- 19:35Speaker 5: what Kean had a pretty good day even with a
- 19:37Speaker 5: Mary Cooper in there.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Nice.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, he's played well, played well. He's starting
- 19:41Speaker 1: to fit in a little bit there. So anyways, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: just a cautionary tale. Let's not uh, it's not astray people.
- 19:48Speaker 1: What might be right for another team might not necessarily
- 19:51Speaker 1: be right for your team. So that's that's continuity though too.
- 19:54Speaker 1: That's what we've always preached here too, is the advantage
- 19:57Speaker 1: when you have offensive coordinators, defensive coordinator system in place,
- 20:00Speaker 1: head coaches that don't go anywhere. Fuck, you know exactly
- 20:03Speaker 1: what works and what doesn't work.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, f it is everything, you know what I'm saying,
- 20:07Speaker 2: like being able to have the carryover over years where
- 20:12Speaker 2: you know exactly what you get, you know exactly what
- 20:14Speaker 2: works for us, what pieces you need to surround the
- 20:17Speaker 2: rest of the team with.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yes, Connuity is everything. Consistency is everything, all right?
- 20:22Speaker 1: As we kiss red off here, Rhett, who do we
- 20:25Speaker 1: have this week?
- 20:26Speaker 4: Who the woters?
- 20:26Speaker 2: Guy?
- 20:27Speaker 5: Michigan State battle for the old brass patoon, good old
- 20:31Speaker 5: trophy game?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Here? Folk? What's the Purdue game? What was that for?
- 20:35Speaker 4: The old oaken bucket?
- 20:36Speaker 1: The oaken bucket? How many games do you have with
- 20:38Speaker 1: something on the line.
- 20:39Speaker 5: We have We used to have three when we played
- 20:43Speaker 5: Kentucky every year was the border, the border barrel. Well
- 20:46Speaker 5: it was technically the bourbon barrel, but it got declassified
- 20:49Speaker 5: down the book border barrel.
- 20:52Speaker 4: So now it's just the old brass patoon and the bucket. Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I feel why are we always playing for so many
- 20:58Speaker 2: gimmicks and stuff in Indiana is because like, like football
- 21:01Speaker 2: has been great. I feel like everything college it's like
- 21:05Speaker 2: it's like we're always playing for Hey, this.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Is a this is a what did you guys? What
- 21:10Speaker 1: did you guys have? Like you don't have a state?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Did we have anything? Did you guys get anything for
- 21:15Speaker 1: those games?
- 21:16Speaker 3: We have the victory bill for uh, that's the only one.
- 21:20Speaker 2: But you can't every game can't be a game of
- 21:23Speaker 2: significance and memorabilia on the line. Like it should be special.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It shouldn't be every week we're playing for something.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I mean, uh, we tell that to Paul Bunyan's acts.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Okay, we're playing for something every weekend.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you have never felt pressure like playing Western Carolina
- 21:41Speaker 1: for the old Mountain jug. I'll just tell you that
- 21:43Speaker 1: right now, coming up shoot jug there. Yeah, Unfortunately they
- 21:53Speaker 1: didn't make the jump up with us the Division one.
- 21:55Speaker 1: So that Mountain Jug I'm sure it's in the football
- 21:57Speaker 1: office still somewhere. All right, good stuff for us today.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Appreciate you guys hanging with us. We'll see that
- 22:26Speaker 5: M
