- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Almost Famous Podcast. It's been with
- 0:08Speaker 2: another recap of Bachelor and Paradise, and this time I've
- 0:11Speaker 2: got a very special guest, a part of the iHeart family,
- 0:16Speaker 2: one of Bachelor Nation's most beloved cast members of all time.
- 0:21Speaker 2: She stole our hearts, she made us cry. She's great.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We were in Tahoe last week and together because we
- 0:29Speaker 2: have some exciting news to talk about before we break
- 0:31Speaker 2: down the episode. Daisy Kent is here from Joey season.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I don't know if anybody really needed to know that.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Of course they knew she was on Joey's season, but
- 0:39Speaker 2: it might have been Daisy and Kelsey season more than Joey.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I don't know if Joey gets the credit for that season.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah, the credit.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I love Joey, but his cast was awesome. Daisy. Yeah,
- 0:51Speaker 2: we're breaking down to this week's episode of Bachelor in Paradise.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You started out when you got on here you said
- 0:55Speaker 2: I loved this episode, which is awesome because I did
- 1:00Speaker 2: as well. I'm really excited to talk about I have
- 1:02Speaker 2: a lot of feelings. Some things are becoming more clear
- 1:06Speaker 2: to me some things that have been confusing throughout the season.
- 1:10Speaker 2: But before we break it down, I want to talk
- 1:13Speaker 2: about this new show you have coming out that's out Actually,
- 1:16Speaker 2: as I've just been informed, Dirty Rush. Dirty Rush is
- 1:20Speaker 2: the name of the show. I'm gonna let you explain
- 1:23Speaker 2: it to me, but I will say this, The whole
- 1:24Speaker 2: iHeart team that was out with us in Tahoe is
- 1:26Speaker 2: so fired up for this show. They think it's going
- 1:29Speaker 2: to be a massive hit. You're gonna be flying around
- 1:32Speaker 2: in private jets based on this show. Like they think
- 1:35Speaker 2: the world of this show. What is it about? Why
- 1:37Speaker 2: should people listen? I'll just give the floor to you.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I think it's really interesting because Megia and Jen. I
- 1:44Speaker 4: feel like we all have such different backgrounds.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Who are the co hosts? Explain the coasts a little bit?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Because you say g and Jen, they might not know
- 1:51Speaker 2: who that.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Gia.
- 1:52Speaker 4: She's been on like Bravo, her whole life on like
- 1:55Speaker 4: the reel Housewives of New Jersey, and then Jen and
- 1:59Speaker 4: she was also on that, and then me I come
- 2:02Speaker 4: from like the Bachelor ABC side of things.
- 2:05Speaker 3: So I think we.
- 2:05Speaker 4: All have very like we all grew up very differently,
- 2:09Speaker 4: and also like our sorority experiences. I feel like we
- 2:13Speaker 4: went to completely different schools, so we all have something
- 2:15Speaker 4: different to say about it. And I think it's gonna
- 2:18Speaker 4: be cool because from the episodes that we recorded already, yes,
- 2:22Speaker 4: it is about like sororities, and it's about like the
- 2:25Speaker 4: relationships you make in them, also like the crazy things
- 2:28Speaker 4: that happened in them. But it also ties it back
- 2:31Speaker 4: to like growing up and in college is such an
- 2:34Speaker 4: exciting time in your life, but it can also be hard.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So we're there to like give advice and help girls too.
- 2:40Speaker 4: So I think it's gonna be really special all of
- 2:43Speaker 4: the things that were able to do with it, because
- 2:45Speaker 4: college was such a life changing time for me and
- 2:48Speaker 4: that's where I met my best friends, and a lot
- 2:51Speaker 4: of it had to do with meaning a sorority. But
- 2:53Speaker 4: I also didn't love being in a sorority all the time.
- 2:57Speaker 4: So I think that's kind of where my experience comes in,
- 3:01Speaker 4: you know.
- 3:01Speaker 2: From my experience in Greek life, which was very short
- 3:04Speaker 2: lived based on some very unfortunate circumstances that occurred in
- 3:08Speaker 2: my life at the time. It wasn't always pretty, and
- 3:13Speaker 2: I think sororities. When I went to college, I had
- 3:15Speaker 2: this picture of a sorority. They had a lot better
- 3:18Speaker 2: food than the fraternities. There were a lot prettier people
- 3:21Speaker 2: in the fraternities. But if you start like lifting up
- 3:25Speaker 2: the little little bit you can see inside and it's
- 3:29Speaker 2: not always like this wonderful, beautiful experience. Are you talking
- 3:33Speaker 2: about that? Are you sharing the good, the bad, the
- 3:35Speaker 2: uglies or is it just kind of helping people as
- 3:37Speaker 2: they enter into this season.
- 3:39Speaker 4: No, we're definitely sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly,
- 3:43Speaker 4: and also like the really great things that come out
- 3:45Speaker 4: of it, which I think is what makes this podcast
- 3:47Speaker 4: very special.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I also think I can relate a lot.
- 3:52Speaker 4: To a lot of different experiences that girls go through
- 3:55Speaker 4: in college, whether being in a sorority or not, because
- 3:57Speaker 4: there was a time when I also wasn't in a sorority.
- 4:01Speaker 4: And so I think it's just going to be a
- 4:04Speaker 4: lot of like fun conversations and anyone can call in
- 4:08Speaker 4: and talk on the podcast, so I think that's really cool,
- 4:11Speaker 4: and you'll be completely anonymous also, So yeah, we just
- 4:15Speaker 4: want to hear people's experiences and give our advice. So
- 4:19Speaker 4: we're excited for everyone to tune in.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's a big uh. It's gonna be a big show.
- 4:23Speaker 2: iHeart is excited about it. Final question for you. You know,
- 4:28Speaker 2: I hear about the Sorority show. I know some of
- 4:31Speaker 2: the content that you were putting out there in Tahoe,
- 4:35Speaker 2: A lot of it seemed to be around prepping to
- 4:37Speaker 2: enter into a sorority or what's it like life in ausrority.
- 4:41Speaker 2: But your listener really ranges from not only those that
- 4:44Speaker 2: are pursuing the idea of a sorority living inside of
- 4:47Speaker 2: a sorority currently, also people in their fifty sixty seventies
- 4:51Speaker 2: who are a part of a sorority. Why would they
- 4:53Speaker 2: listen to this because I know that's a huge demo
- 4:55Speaker 2: that you want to speak to.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I think because we have and like we're gonna have
- 5:00Speaker 4: moms on the show to also talk about like being
- 5:02Speaker 4: a mom, and like the pressure that's put on girls
- 5:04Speaker 4: going through the recruitment process and just how like for me,
- 5:09Speaker 4: I had a really really fun time, and I think
- 5:11Speaker 4: part of that was I didn't understand what I was
- 5:13Speaker 4: doing when I was going through it.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I knew nothing about a sorority.
- 5:16Speaker 4: But I think it'll be cool for like the moms
- 5:18Speaker 4: to listen and give their side of things because I
- 5:21Speaker 4: know like my mom. She's always told me when I
- 5:23Speaker 4: go through something and it's like great or it's like
- 5:27Speaker 4: really hard, she feels those emotions like ten times more
- 5:30Speaker 4: for me than she's ever felt for herself.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Like, I think a.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Mom's love is just so powerful. So I think hearing
- 5:36Speaker 4: mom's stories and their experiences too is also going to
- 5:39Speaker 4: be great. And also the girls who like weren't in
- 5:42Speaker 4: sororities are the ones who don't want to be in ones.
- 5:45Speaker 4: That's okay too, And I think talking about that also
- 5:48Speaker 4: is really important because I was that way.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Also, it's gonna be a great show. It's called Dirty Rush.
- 5:53Speaker 2: You can find it right now wherever you listen to podcasts.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It's one of our new iHeart Family podcast. Daisy Kent
- 6:00Speaker 2: as a co host. I'm excited for it. A lot
- 6:05Speaker 2: lot of just giddiness in Tahoe around this new launch
- 6:09Speaker 2: of this new show. Now back to our show here
- 6:12Speaker 2: at the Almost Famous podcast to talk about Bachelor and Paradise.
- 6:16Speaker 2: As I said, Daisy is excited to talk about this episode.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I don't know if she liked it or didn't like
- 6:20Speaker 2: it yet, We're gonna get into that as we go.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Daisy also is young enough and relevant enough to have
- 6:26Speaker 2: friends that are currently on the show, so maybe she
- 6:28Speaker 2: can give us an inside glance at what they're they
- 6:31Speaker 2: were experiencing during filming. We're gonna start with this, it's
- 6:36Speaker 2: the Rose Ceremony again. We're kind of starting the episode
- 6:39Speaker 2: one hour to the row ceremony. If you remember from
- 6:43Speaker 2: last week's episode, the men have the roses this week.
- 6:45Speaker 2: This week there's a big kind of in balance when
- 6:51Speaker 2: it comes to the Goldens. There's well six women, three roses,
- 6:55Speaker 2: so three women are gonna be going home. I've been
- 6:57Speaker 2: confused about that now for the last week, don't really
- 7:00Speaker 2: get clarity on it, but we get to see some
- 7:03Speaker 2: relationships form Daisy. Yeah, thoughts at the beginning of this episode,
- 7:08Speaker 2: as we enter into the rose ceremony with who has
- 7:11Speaker 2: the roses and who does it?
- 7:12Speaker 4: I honestly didn't know who the Goldens were all going
- 7:15Speaker 4: to give the roses to. I thought Leslie and Gary
- 7:18Speaker 4: for sure had a great connection.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I wasn't sure about Kim.
- 7:22Speaker 4: When I saw the conversations, I honestly thought that Kim
- 7:26Speaker 4: was going to give it to Nancy because their conversation
- 7:29Speaker 4: was so heartwarming.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 7:32Speaker 4: I saw the whole conversation between by my Faith. Yes, yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 4: Kim and Faith. They just didn't show as like deep
- 7:41Speaker 4: of a conversation I felt. But then after she got
- 7:45Speaker 4: his rose and they had more of a conversation than
- 7:47Speaker 4: I was like, Oh that makes sense, But honestly I was.
- 7:50Speaker 4: I'm happy Faith stayed. I was bummed to see Nancy
- 7:53Speaker 4: go because I've met her multiple times. She is amazing,
- 7:56Speaker 4: and honestly, I think they should make her next Golden Bachelor.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I agree with you. Nancy and I grew up on
- 8:02Speaker 2: the same lake in Indiana, so I know Nancy well, yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 2: we're like neighbors in a town of ten.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Thousand or she went on the show.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I did not, but I know her family very well,
- 8:14Speaker 2: and her mom and I were co counselors at church
- 8:18Speaker 2: camp for three summers together. Her mom was like, is
- 8:21Speaker 2: one of the most helpful, sweetest ladies. But I always
- 8:25Speaker 2: knew of Nancy. I worked with her son for a summer.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I never knew Nancy until the show. I love Nancy,
- 8:32Speaker 2: but here's the thing with Nancy. She's not I don't
- 8:35Speaker 2: want to say a slow burn because you love her
- 8:37Speaker 2: right away, but I think when it comes to dating
- 8:39Speaker 2: She's intentional and so this this setup didn't really work
- 8:43Speaker 2: for her, kind of coming in being there for a day,
- 8:45Speaker 2: needing to make a connection, kind of needing to put
- 8:47Speaker 2: herself out there and flirt a lot. I think Nancy's
- 8:50Speaker 2: the type. Honestly, she's marriage material with the one that's like,
- 8:54Speaker 2: I'm here, I'm in it. I'm not going to date
- 8:57Speaker 2: around too much. I kind of focus on one person,
- 9:00Speaker 2: and there just wasn't options for her. Yeah, she kind
- 9:04Speaker 2: of ran into an impossible scenario for Nancy.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I agree. Yeah, I feel like she's definitely
- 9:11Speaker 4: more of a slow burn. But I would love her
- 9:14Speaker 4: to be a bachelorette.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh, she'd be terrific as the bachelorette. A little bit
- 9:18Speaker 2: of control. She can, you know, point the conversations in
- 9:22Speaker 2: the right direction. I love her. The big question I
- 9:25Speaker 2: have right now kind of going into this Verst Turow ceremony,
- 9:28Speaker 2: was where is Dale and Kat going to spit out?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Like?
- 9:32Speaker 2: How are they going to function? It feels very unhealthy
- 9:35Speaker 2: to me at this point. It still feels unhealthy after
- 9:37Speaker 2: this episode. I know they're getting better, but it feels
- 9:41Speaker 2: like they're getting better by just talking less and I
- 9:43Speaker 2: don't think that's a good thing for a relationship.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Maybe they're not showing all of it, but I feel
- 9:48Speaker 4: like it's been like so much back and forth. I'm
- 9:51Speaker 4: honestly like, I don't know. I wish they would show
- 9:55Speaker 4: some more of the couples that seem to have like
- 9:57Speaker 4: really sturdy connections, because like we've barely seen any of
- 10:01Speaker 4: Jess and Spencer besides the beginning, and like, I mean,
- 10:05Speaker 4: I'm good friends with Jess obviously, like I love her,
- 10:09Speaker 4: but like they're also both so funny, like watching that
- 10:14Speaker 4: we need to be shown more of that. But yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 4: I wasn't sure about Dale and Kat either, And I
- 10:20Speaker 4: think him like he was saying, like, Kat won't open
- 10:24Speaker 4: up to me, and he's like, so maybe Alisha, Like
- 10:29Speaker 4: you could see he was like felt like he was
- 10:32Speaker 4: a little conflicted, did you think so?
- 10:35Speaker 2: I honestly don't think Dale's conflicted. I think he wants Alicia,
- 10:39Speaker 2: and I just think he's nervous to say it. I
- 10:42Speaker 2: think as soon as she walked in, and it was
- 10:45Speaker 2: coming off of the Cat and Dale argument, and from
- 10:49Speaker 2: a viewers standpoint, I'm watching you going he wants to
- 10:52Speaker 2: be with Alicia. He just doesn't know how to do
- 10:54Speaker 2: it without absolutely breaking Kat's heart and making himself look
- 10:59Speaker 2: like like a jerk. So he's not doing it, but
- 11:01Speaker 2: it seems like he's trying to find the reasons and
- 11:04Speaker 2: the excuses and saying she's not opening up to me.
- 11:07Speaker 2: So that's why this relationship isn't going to work. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 2: I think if I'm very interested in the previews for
- 11:14Speaker 2: next week where it tests the relationship. When Jesse says,
- 11:17Speaker 2: you know there's connections here, but I know some of
- 11:20Speaker 2: you have eyes for somebody else, I immediately thought of Dale.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I didn't think of Jeremy, even though I know. I immediately
- 11:28Speaker 2: thought of Dale, and I was like I would right now, Daisy, Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 2: as we sit here, I will put my chips your
- 11:36Speaker 2: jims on the This blows Dale and Cat up. Next week.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Whatever they are planning was designed to blow them up.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Jeremy might have to come and be honest with his
- 11:46Speaker 2: feelings and emotions for Susie, but it's gonna blow Dale
- 11:51Speaker 2: Cat up.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I thought him and Bailey.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I thought because from the previews we've seen before, I
- 11:56Speaker 4: thought it was going to be really bad and like
- 11:58Speaker 4: their relationship was going to blow up with them. From
- 12:00Speaker 4: the preview at the end, it made it seem like
- 12:03Speaker 4: they probably got through it and then all of the
- 12:06Speaker 4: like blowback was on buy in.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Well, it does seem like that. That's why I think
- 12:11Speaker 2: this is only focused on Dale Kat. The show said,
- 12:14Speaker 2: we need to do something to break them up because
- 12:17Speaker 2: it's not going to be hard to do. Well to
- 12:18Speaker 2: see it's it's a teaser for next episode. I have
- 12:21Speaker 2: no clue, but that's what my mind is going towards.
- 12:34Speaker 2: We did walk into the rose ceremony. The men do
- 12:37Speaker 2: have the roses. As I said, any big surprises for
- 12:40Speaker 2: you here? I know you're friends with Leah as well.
- 12:44Speaker 2: At this point, were you like, Jonathan and Leia are
- 12:46Speaker 2: definitely working.
- 12:48Speaker 4: I thought they were for sure gonna She was gonna
- 12:50Speaker 4: get his rose because like, who else would he give
- 12:54Speaker 4: his rose?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Two?
- 12:55Speaker 4: Also, you know, like they were the only two that
- 12:57Speaker 4: were there that kind of like didn't have like a
- 13:00Speaker 4: strong connection to the people they were talking to. I
- 13:02Speaker 4: feel like so, but then, yeah, he could have also
- 13:07Speaker 4: saved April, but I I don't know, I didn't see
- 13:12Speaker 4: him doing that again because then there would be no
- 13:14Speaker 4: other golden guy there for her, you know, so it
- 13:17Speaker 4: didn't really make sense and it felt like him and
- 13:19Speaker 4: Leo were kind of like they were seen if they
- 13:22Speaker 4: could figure it out.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Was it the right thing for him to do to
- 13:26Speaker 2: give his rose to April? I mean, kind of pay
- 13:29Speaker 2: it forward. She's now in a similar spot that he was.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I don't think so, Okay why.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I just feel like, I mean, April did that to
- 13:39Speaker 4: be like really nice and that kind and obviously, but
- 13:42Speaker 4: I think like everyone at that point probably already knew
- 13:45Speaker 4: that there wasn't going to be another golden guy coming
- 13:47Speaker 4: in because they didn't bring anymore in for the like
- 13:51Speaker 4: however many girls they had there, so and he was
- 13:55Speaker 4: still kind of seeing how him and Leah could go
- 13:57Speaker 4: at that point. So I don't think it was wrong
- 13:59Speaker 4: of him to give his rose Toalaya.
- 14:02Speaker 2: No, I don't think so either. I'm with you, mostly
- 14:04Speaker 2: because it felt like a really nice thing for April
- 14:07Speaker 2: to do. But how long can you extend that until
- 14:09Speaker 2: it gets awkward?
- 14:10Speaker 3: They're going to do them?
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it just doesn't really fit, Yeah, because they're
- 14:16Speaker 2: not talking to each other in between times, they're just
- 14:20Speaker 2: like giving out charity roses, And I don't think that's
- 14:23Speaker 2: at all with the show wants, nor is it actually
- 14:26Speaker 2: helpful for the two couples to find somebody.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely I agree.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It brings us to the big moment. So Natasha, April
- 14:34Speaker 2: Nancy go home, and then we see Jesse come in
- 14:36Speaker 2: late at night. Goodness, gracious, it's dark, it looks late.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Everybody's excited because they just got somebody else's rose. Love
- 14:43Speaker 2: is in the air, and Jesse says everything's about to change.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Paradise has been leading up to this moment, Daisy. We've
- 14:50Speaker 2: been teasing it, we've been hearing about it. We didn't
- 14:53Speaker 2: know what it was. We've heard some type of money,
- 14:56Speaker 2: and now we know it's a half a million dollars,
- 14:58Speaker 2: which we kind of expected. Yeah, after Jesse's announcement that
- 15:02Speaker 2: everything changed, we still don't know a lot about what
- 15:05Speaker 2: is changing. We know there's going to be games and
- 15:07Speaker 2: competitions and different types of things to help relationships maybe
- 15:11Speaker 2: grow stronger. I'm assuming when you said you really got
- 15:16Speaker 2: excited about this episode, this was one of those moments.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Do you like the idea of half a million dollars
- 15:21Speaker 2: being on the line for Paradise or do you like
- 15:25Speaker 2: it better when there's no money and only the gift
- 15:27Speaker 2: of a relationship.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Honestly, I think they needed to add like a different
- 15:32Speaker 4: spin to it. So I think it does make it
- 15:34Speaker 4: fun and it'll be like games and stuff. But I'm
- 15:36Speaker 4: also like, it seems like everyone's getting like more strategic
- 15:40Speaker 4: about it, and I do think for like a lot
- 15:43Speaker 4: of people, it'll be just about the money. I mean,
- 15:45Speaker 4: that's a lot of money, so I feel like as
- 15:50Speaker 4: time goes on, it will like tell more. I'm also like,
- 15:54Speaker 4: I wish they explained bore to us because I feel like, Okay, yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 4: there's like half a million dollar at the end, but like,
- 16:02Speaker 4: are they going to keep weeding away people until there's
- 16:04Speaker 4: one couple standing and then like, can people still like
- 16:08Speaker 4: get engaged at the end? Well? I know I'm guessing
- 16:10Speaker 4: some people do because at the first episode they showed
- 16:13Speaker 4: a teaser of like rings, So I'm like, how is
- 16:17Speaker 4: this all gonna work out? I wish they gave more
- 16:20Speaker 4: clarification on like the game situation, but what do you think?
- 16:24Speaker 2: I think they honestly are kind of figuring out as
- 16:26Speaker 2: they go. I really think the show knew that there
- 16:29Speaker 2: was going to be money and knew there was going
- 16:31Speaker 2: to be competitions, but I think they're waiting to see
- 16:35Speaker 2: how relationships evolve. And then they're kind of saying, here's
- 16:38Speaker 2: a competition for this week. Like, for example, they see
- 16:40Speaker 2: Dale and Kat kind of bickering, arguing, Dale saying in
- 16:44Speaker 2: ITMS that he's looking elsewhere, and they say, perfect, this week,
- 16:48Speaker 2: we're going to have a competition that makes couples decide
- 16:50Speaker 2: if they're really in it or if they want somebody else.
- 16:53Speaker 2: So I don't know if they know a lot. I
- 16:55Speaker 2: don't know if there was a big grand plan for
- 16:57Speaker 2: how the competitions would work. Yeah, it's I've been very
- 17:02Speaker 2: against the money. Yeah, I have been very against the
- 17:06Speaker 2: money because I didn't want it to get in their
- 17:09Speaker 2: way of relationships. However, what happened for this first competition
- 17:15Speaker 2: was that people actually started asking each other questions, what
- 17:18Speaker 2: do you like to do for fun? How much money
- 17:20Speaker 2: do you spend on this? What do you know? And
- 17:22Speaker 2: I think that's so healthy for relationships. So my tune
- 17:25Speaker 2: hasn't changed. I still don't know if I love the
- 17:27Speaker 2: money aspect.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I've still done it without money, honestly.
- 17:30Speaker 2: One hundred percent. If you just tell a bunch of
- 17:32Speaker 2: reality television people to compete, they will.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Yeah, like kept bringing in other people too, Like I
- 17:40Speaker 4: think the fact that they're not bringing in other people
- 17:43Speaker 4: it doesn't make it as exciting for a watcher.
- 17:46Speaker 2: No, I like to see the new people show up
- 17:48Speaker 2: to the beach. I like to see a little bit
- 17:50Speaker 2: of chaos and drama happened. I think there was this
- 17:53Speaker 2: possibility and they they didn't allow it for whatever reason.
- 17:57Speaker 2: You know, the money, the money is life changing, and
- 18:00Speaker 2: it does make couples refocus. It does put a little
- 18:03Speaker 2: heat on the show and on each competition. But I
- 18:08Speaker 2: did like the couples were connecting again, including faith in Kim.
- 18:12Speaker 2: As you said, at the beginning, you didn't know where
- 18:13Speaker 2: their relationships stood, but we get to see them kind
- 18:15Speaker 2: of following the next day, really having a conversation that
- 18:18Speaker 2: felt like the two of them were seeing eye to
- 18:21Speaker 2: eye more than I've seen really any Golden couple up
- 18:26Speaker 2: to this point.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 4: No, I feel like it was really like genuine and
- 18:30Speaker 4: cute and it just made me go like, oh, it
- 18:32Speaker 4: was like when I first watched the first season of
- 18:35Speaker 4: The Golden Bachelor, like just how it made your heart
- 18:37Speaker 4: feel like so good.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Love that.
- 18:40Speaker 4: I also loved Leslie and Gary talking on the beach together.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I thought that was so cute. I am bound that
- 18:47Speaker 4: they went home because I love Gary's like commentation.
- 18:52Speaker 3: On the show. I think it's like so good, hilarious.
- 18:56Speaker 4: And everything's just so good. That he says, I'm bummed
- 19:00Speaker 4: that they're not going to be there anymore.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I'm bummed too. Now we can talk about this now.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Gary and Leslie were in Tahoe with us this last weekend. Ye,
- 19:09Speaker 2: I don't know if you had a different conversation with
- 19:12Speaker 2: them that I didn't, but you would never like from
- 19:15Speaker 2: our time with them, I would not know if they
- 19:18Speaker 2: were together or not. The Goldens do one thing really well.
- 19:21Speaker 2: They don't share secrets. They don't break in DA's. They
- 19:24Speaker 2: don't talk about anything that happened on the show, and
- 19:27Speaker 2: to their credit, they didn't. No matter who we are
- 19:30Speaker 2: around or what they were doing, they were saying, can't
- 19:32Speaker 2: talk about it. You have to watch like the typical
- 19:34Speaker 2: cliche things the show tells us to tell people it's ridiculous.
- 19:38Speaker 2: But we saw them together and they weren't distant. But
- 19:44Speaker 2: I would not know if they were best friends who
- 19:46Speaker 2: at one point dated, or if they're still in a
- 19:49Speaker 2: relationship and hiding it for us. If that's what they
- 19:53Speaker 2: were doing. How tough does that have to be to
- 19:55Speaker 2: be like dating somebody and be distant from them for
- 19:59Speaker 2: three days so that no, but you can.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Tell yeah, definitely extremely difficult. I'm honestly surprised they were
- 20:06Speaker 4: allowed to go on the same trip. But I'm excited
- 20:10Speaker 4: to see I hope they do. You know if they have,
- 20:12Speaker 4: like a reunion show.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I don't know if they do yet. I have no
- 20:16Speaker 2: idea how we get the update other than social media.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I mean, I'm guessing on social media we're gonna find
- 20:21Speaker 2: out if they are actually dating or not.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I hope they are because being around them, they are
- 20:28Speaker 2: cute together. Yeah, but I will say they did not
- 20:32Speaker 2: lead us into either direction. They were very much in
- 20:35Speaker 2: the middle.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Definitely not.
- 20:38Speaker 2: It's wild even after a few drinks. It's not like
- 20:40Speaker 2: they got cuddly. But who knows what was happening once
- 20:43Speaker 2: everybody left. I couldn't tell you. It's not my place
- 20:46Speaker 2: to even assume. Well, we do have some strong relationships
- 20:50Speaker 2: forming with the Goldens, Kim and Faith, Gary and Leslie.
- 20:53Speaker 2: We still have Kathy and Keith, which just feel like
- 20:55Speaker 2: two buddies hanging out drinking cocktails together, romance being shown,
- 21:01Speaker 2: but I do love the two of them. Wow, we
- 21:05Speaker 2: have no shockers yet. In the the Young'ins group, Priests
- 21:11Speaker 2: and Brian are still together, Kat and Dale stay together,
- 21:15Speaker 2: Jeremy and Bailey are together, Daisy. We see the prep
- 21:20Speaker 2: for these relationships. As I said, I liked it because
- 21:23Speaker 2: it felt like they were asking each other questions. Yeah,
- 21:27Speaker 2: but it leads us to this competition, which I think
- 21:30Speaker 2: is what we have to dive into next. Yeah, the competition.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It wasn't as glamorous or as highly produced. I thought
- 21:41Speaker 2: these competitions were going to be. Yeah, I agree, it was,
- 21:45Speaker 2: you know, it didn't miss it. Just I felt like,
- 21:47Speaker 2: if you're gonna bring half a million dollars in and
- 21:50Speaker 2: make people do competitions, we're getting like Survivor type competitions.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I thought, I was thinking to you, I was expecting
- 21:55Speaker 3: nank Survivor.
- 21:57Speaker 2: But it's mostly a get to know you game. That's
- 22:00Speaker 2: kind of where we sit, I you know there for me,
- 22:03Speaker 2: there's not a lot to talk about here. Obviously. We
- 22:06Speaker 2: see the Brian and Parsa thing kind of continue, where
- 22:11Speaker 2: it doesn't seem like they're clicking. It seems like they
- 22:13Speaker 2: both just are so mad at each other. I don't
- 22:15Speaker 2: know where their relationship necessarily goes.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like I don't know. I feel like
- 22:22Speaker 3: it's kind of a mess, honestly.
- 22:26Speaker 4: I mean I feel like Brian kind of expects her
- 22:29Speaker 4: to like react to situations exactly how he like, like
- 22:33Speaker 4: he wants somebody to react like what he thinks is
- 22:36Speaker 4: the perfect reaction. But I'm like, that's not how our
- 22:39Speaker 4: relationship goes. Yeah, and he seems like he tells it.
- 22:44Speaker 4: He's telling her that she's giving him too many compliments
- 22:48Speaker 4: like what.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Ever?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Said that our producer for the show had texted us
- 23:05Speaker 2: saying that Brian was really like getting on her nerves
- 23:08Speaker 2: during this episode. I think he was not only getting
- 23:11Speaker 2: on her nerves, he was getting on a lot of
- 23:12Speaker 2: people's nerves, including the girl that he's romantic with. Yeah, Daisy,
- 23:18Speaker 2: you're in a serious relationship, right, Yeah. Expectations in a
- 23:23Speaker 2: serious relationship are not a healthy thing to have, No,
- 23:28Speaker 2: you know, you just have to kind of throw those
- 23:30Speaker 2: out to one door. Not that somebody doesn't meet your expectations,
- 23:33Speaker 2: but if you go into every scenario being like I
- 23:35Speaker 2: need you to do this, and this is how I
- 23:37Speaker 2: think this should work, you're just kind of you're honestly
- 23:41Speaker 2: trying to mold the person into maybe somebody they're not.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I mean, you're two different people. You're you're always going
- 23:46Speaker 4: to be two different people. But the thing that makes
- 23:48Speaker 4: it like a good relationship is where you can talk
- 23:51Speaker 4: about those things but also like enjoy the things that
- 23:55Speaker 4: make you different.
- 23:55Speaker 2: And I'll be like that.
- 23:58Speaker 3: This is why I don't like, I don't know, I'm
- 24:00Speaker 3: with you.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I totally get it.
- 24:02Speaker 4: I feel like he's like picking her apart, which I
- 24:05Speaker 4: don't enjoy.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It wouldn't be fun, especially in this environment, to be
- 24:10Speaker 2: picked apart. We do see Bailey and Jeremy when this
- 24:13Speaker 2: date based on a crazy decision that Gary makes. In fact,
- 24:18Speaker 2: Gary and Leslie go home because of this decision he makes.
- 24:21Speaker 2: He is not a good gambler. He got way over confident.
- 24:25Speaker 2: These are the moments Daisy on the show that you
- 24:29Speaker 2: couldn't produce. It just happened, and you go, what in
- 24:32Speaker 2: the world is this person doing? This is going to
- 24:35Speaker 2: be outrageous and he did it.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Yeah, the three people. I honestly I felt sad for
- 24:41Speaker 4: her because I'm like, I've never met Bailey in person,
- 24:44Speaker 4: but she seems so sweet and just like nice and
- 24:48Speaker 4: authentic from what I've seen of her from Paradise and
- 24:52Speaker 4: I might. And of course they give it to her
- 24:54Speaker 4: because she's like they know they'll get a reaction out
- 24:57Speaker 4: of her. I feel like, but it was sad birr
- 25:01Speaker 4: to do that. I kind of figured she was going
- 25:02Speaker 4: to send one of the Golden people home because when
- 25:05Speaker 4: they were doing I remember, there's a spot where Jeremy
- 25:09Speaker 4: goes he's like, I hate the Goldens are so annoying
- 25:12Speaker 4: or something like that.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Let's pause on that for a second. That was my
- 25:16Speaker 2: next big conversation I would have with you. Where does
- 25:21Speaker 2: that where's that coming from? How do you say the
- 25:24Speaker 2: Goldens are annoying? That seems absolutely not only mean incorrect.
- 25:30Speaker 2: They're the best part of the show so far.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah, No, truly they are. And I think I don't know,
- 25:36Speaker 4: it's just like it was just kind of a me
- 25:38Speaker 4: and comment. Also, I'm like, what is he thinking, Like, Oh,
- 25:42Speaker 4: they're like taking away time from me being on the show.
- 25:44Speaker 4: That's like right where my mind went, like, oh, are
- 25:47Speaker 4: you just like saying that because you want more attention
- 25:51Speaker 4: on you?
- 25:51Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Here's the other side of that. He says that they're
- 25:55Speaker 2: just always sharing monologues and as you get older, I
- 25:59Speaker 2: think that that's what people do, they kind of, but
- 26:03Speaker 2: here is a different way to look at this. Jeremy,
- 26:06Speaker 2: you aren't doing too great yourself. It hasn't blown up
- 26:09Speaker 2: on you yet, but goodness gracious, I think it's going to.
- 26:11Speaker 2: They might stay together through it. I hope you do.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Love is for everybody. But instead of pushing the Goldens
- 26:18Speaker 2: aside like they are forgotten, which was the whole point
- 26:23Speaker 2: of The Golden Show in general, was to show that
- 26:26Speaker 2: as you get older, you're not forgotten, You're needed, necessary,
- 26:29Speaker 2: and that you deserve the greatest chapter of any chapter
- 26:33Speaker 2: so far, maybe you should start listening to those monologues
- 26:37Speaker 2: for some wisdom, to make you a little better, to
- 26:40Speaker 2: make you learn a little more, because they've been there
- 26:43Speaker 2: and done that, and goodness gracious, son, so far, you're
- 26:46Speaker 2: blowing this thing up behind the scenes and haven't gotten
- 26:48Speaker 2: caught for it yet.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 4: No, I totally agree, and I think this next episode
- 26:53Speaker 4: is going to be really interesting. I also think you
- 26:56Speaker 4: can definitely see the tension between Jeremy and Brian. I
- 27:00Speaker 4: think they're like, oh, yeah, we're friends, like he's my friend,
- 27:04Speaker 4: but like but there's always a butt and Mike, you're
- 27:07Speaker 4: definitely like nong freends, Like, yeah.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Say that close, You're not that close. If you're good friends,
- 27:15Speaker 2: this would never be coming up. Yeah, you like mutually
- 27:18Speaker 2: have gone to a club together and gotten you know,
- 27:21Speaker 2: bottle service, and you call each other friends. That's not
- 27:24Speaker 2: a real friendship, especially for the previews.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Well, we do see Bailey get the rose. She kind
- 27:33Speaker 2: of skipping through a bunch of random conversations leading us
- 27:37Speaker 2: up to Bailey's decision at the rose ceremony to not
- 27:41Speaker 2: give Gary and Leslie the rose. One of the things
- 27:44Speaker 2: in between the end of the competition and the final
- 27:48Speaker 2: rose ceremony of this episode is something with Jonathan and Leah.
- 27:54Speaker 2: We see Jonathan Tellcat that he has no romantic feelings
- 27:59Speaker 2: for Leah. You're a friend of hers, so I'm assuming
- 28:04Speaker 2: you've been attuned to her on this show. Yeah, did
- 28:08Speaker 2: you think there was romantic feelings up until this point?
- 28:11Speaker 3: I mean, if you were.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Like to tell me that they would like if someone
- 28:17Speaker 4: because I know Jonathan and I know Leah, and I'm like,
- 28:19Speaker 4: if you were to like tell me that they were together,
- 28:23Speaker 4: I would kind of be like, what, like they're both
- 28:25Speaker 4: amazing people, but I think they're just like very different,
- 28:30Speaker 4: and so when it was happening, but then it seemed
- 28:33Speaker 4: like they were both kind of like, okay, like we're
- 28:35Speaker 4: the last two here, like we might as well like
- 28:38Speaker 4: see how this goes and if something could be there,
- 28:41Speaker 4: And I felt like that was both of them the reaction,
- 28:43Speaker 4: and then I felt like, all of a sudden to
- 28:45Speaker 4: catch Onathan was like, oh no, like we're just friends.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Now I can chill in Paradise. And it's like, dude,
- 28:51Speaker 3: you should like say that, just like straight up to Leah.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been with Jonathan. He is a outgoing human.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I you know what he's getting. He's getting this his
- 29:06Speaker 2: journey through Paradise is similar to so many others we've
- 29:09Speaker 2: seen who are outgoing and flirty and not really, in
- 29:13Speaker 2: my opinion, ready to settle down. That's not a knock
- 29:16Speaker 2: on him more than it's just you don't show the
- 29:17Speaker 2: signs of somebody that wants to commit to a relationship
- 29:20Speaker 2: for the next fifty years, of sixty years, seventy years
- 29:23Speaker 2: of your life, and as a result, it does make
- 29:27Speaker 2: him look like he's skipping around to whoever's next and
- 29:32Speaker 2: leading them on and then saying, hey, we're just friends. Right,
- 29:34Speaker 2: He's done it maybe one too many times here. At
- 29:37Speaker 2: some point he has to realize that he is there
- 29:40Speaker 2: because people are interested in being romantic with you. He
- 29:44Speaker 2: can't just get away with being everybody's best friend for
- 29:46Speaker 2: the whole time.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I agree, And I think that's been like
- 29:49Speaker 4: the case. He's definitely just like been best friends and
- 29:53Speaker 4: like tried to make it work, but then not. I
- 29:57Speaker 4: feel like he's been like doubling back on the things
- 29:59Speaker 4: he's been saying. So I don't know, but I love him.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I think he's great, but I just I don't I
- 30:06Speaker 4: didn't know what he was doing there.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I mean, I think he's great also, but he is
- 30:11Speaker 2: I think from the short time I've spent with him,
- 30:13Speaker 2: somebody that probably talks faster than his mind is actually
- 30:17Speaker 2: up like going, and so he says things and probably
- 30:20Speaker 2: does forget that he said it, but he's just kind
- 30:22Speaker 2: of filling the space, and then all of a sudden
- 30:24Speaker 2: he looks back. He's like, oh, dang, I did say that,
- 30:26Speaker 2: didn't shoot. Yeah, this doesn't look good. I don't think
- 30:30Speaker 2: he's like trying to harm Leah. Oh, but she's mad.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Yeah she's mad. Explain yeah she's mad.
- 30:39Speaker 3: And she gets up and walks away.
- 30:42Speaker 4: She kind of just ends the conversation, and I was like, Okay,
- 30:45Speaker 4: I mean I get it because if she was giving,
- 30:47Speaker 4: if they felt like they were both giving each other
- 30:49Speaker 4: the vibe, it's like that they were going to like see,
- 30:52Speaker 4: like they didn't know, but they were going to see.
- 30:54Speaker 4: And then someone comes up to you and is like no,
- 30:58Speaker 4: like then like I understand. And then she got up
- 31:01Speaker 4: and left. I thought, honestly, I thought the Rose ceremony
- 31:04Speaker 4: was hilarious when she was like when he walked up
- 31:06Speaker 4: and she was welcome and then so.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Good. And here's the best part. She didn't do it
- 31:15Speaker 2: with like a grin or a smile on her face.
- 31:17Speaker 2: She wasn't doing because she thought it would be great TV,
- 31:19Speaker 2: even though I'm sure she didn't know it was going
- 31:21Speaker 2: to be great TV. She did it out of like,
- 31:23Speaker 2: I think it felt very much like her. Is that
- 31:26Speaker 2: her or is this just a moment she was so
- 31:29Speaker 2: angry that she had to do something.
- 31:31Speaker 4: No, I think she's like I think she was angry
- 31:34Speaker 4: for sure, and I think she was also like I
- 31:38Speaker 4: love her, she just very much herself and I think,
- 31:42Speaker 4: you know, she feels like she should say something.
- 31:44Speaker 3: She's gonna say it. I loved it. I actually chexted her,
- 31:47Speaker 3: I'm like, I love.
- 31:49Speaker 4: You so much with a laugh, you know, cheese because
- 31:53Speaker 4: it was like one of those like iconic moments.
- 31:56Speaker 2: So good.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I then like knew it too, you know, like he.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Like was kind of like, uh, yeah, he knew he
- 32:03Speaker 2: has he has. There's nothing in his mind that doesn't
- 32:06Speaker 2: know that he's almost messed this up. Here's a good part.
- 32:09Speaker 2: We get him both next week for the episode, I
- 32:12Speaker 2: think this is going to be hilarious and awesome to watch.
- 32:15Speaker 2: We do see a preview for what it looks like
- 32:18Speaker 2: next week's Really Sees our episode. We obviously talked about
- 32:23Speaker 2: the compatibility test that the show is going to do
- 32:26Speaker 2: with everybody. It is not meant to break couples, let's
- 32:28Speaker 2: be clear, But it is meant to help people pursue
- 32:32Speaker 2: somebody that they might be more interested in than the
- 32:35Speaker 2: person they're currently with. That feels like chaos, and that
- 32:38Speaker 2: feels like it's going to be so hard for the
- 32:40Speaker 2: person in it and so amazing to watch.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Oh, definitely, that's the thing.
- 32:45Speaker 4: I feel like, that's reality TV it's like always so
- 32:49Speaker 4: hard for the bullnet, but it is.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Fun to watch, and it's amazing that I am not
- 32:53Speaker 2: the one there that is the best. You're like, it's
- 32:58Speaker 2: not me, it's not me at all. We do see
- 33:02Speaker 2: something interesting. Bailey seems to be breaking down in tears.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Do you think this is because Jeremy shares with her
- 33:09Speaker 2: what he's been kind of sharing with everybody else, is
- 33:11Speaker 2: that he's actually interested in Susie.
- 33:15Speaker 3: For sure?
- 33:16Speaker 4: And I saw her getting upset, like when Brian was
- 33:19Speaker 4: talking to her, and it seemed like Brian said something
- 33:21Speaker 4: that made her angry. And I don't know if it
- 33:24Speaker 4: was Zach because I think she kind of said something
- 33:26Speaker 4: back to Brian if I'm remembering right. Yeah, And it
- 33:29Speaker 4: kind of shows everyone. I feel like the guys are
- 33:32Speaker 4: going to take Jeremy's side, probably because most of them
- 33:35Speaker 4: are like closer with Jeremy from like the vibe I'm getting.
- 33:41Speaker 3: So we'll see kind of looks like Brian's gonna go down.
- 33:46Speaker 2: It does. Brian says actually a really great line. He says,
- 33:49Speaker 2: the water is heating up here in Paradise, and I'm
- 33:51Speaker 2: the lobster. I think that is going to be very true.
- 33:56Speaker 2: For this next episode. It was a great preview. It
- 33:59Speaker 2: does keep me excited for the next episode. Daisy, is
- 34:01Speaker 2: there anything we didn't cover about this episode that you
- 34:04Speaker 2: wanted to before we close out?
- 34:07Speaker 4: No, I'm just excited for next week and I think
- 34:11Speaker 4: it'll be good. I feel like now it's getting like interesting,
- 34:14Speaker 4: like more interesting. I love how they're doing like the
- 34:18Speaker 4: little like the change up with the editing and stuff.
- 34:23Speaker 2: So I guess I was getting used to it.
- 34:25Speaker 4: I am I'm curious, like what the Bachelor is going
- 34:28Speaker 4: to be like and like the Golden Bachelor, like are
- 34:31Speaker 4: they going to do like a similar vibe or because
- 34:34Speaker 4: I feel like a change up like it somehow, So
- 34:37Speaker 4: I guess we'll see.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I think they will. Uh, it's going to be fun
- 34:42Speaker 2: to watch. I am more leaning it is getting more
- 34:46Speaker 2: interesting for me. This episode kind of got me into
- 34:49Speaker 2: it where I'm like, I'm excited to see next week
- 34:51Speaker 2: and I I haven't yet been there with Paradise this season,
- 34:55Speaker 2: but at the end of this episode, and here's the
- 34:58Speaker 2: brutal e side of me coming out, I'm excited to
- 35:02Speaker 2: see what happens next week because I want to see
- 35:04Speaker 2: what drama unfold. As you said, I don't have to
- 35:07Speaker 2: be there. They chose it, and I want to see
- 35:10Speaker 2: what relationships break and how people respond. And I don't
- 35:13Speaker 2: know why, but I love watching it.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I do too.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I think also going like through I mean not Paradise,
- 35:20Speaker 4: but being on the Bachelor, and like knowing kind of
- 35:23Speaker 4: how things work and how intense it is when you're there,
- 35:26Speaker 4: I'm like, this is gonna be good.
- 35:28Speaker 2: It's gonna be great. Well, Daisy, thank you for joining us.
