Heartland rock, classical music, R&B, alternative rock, pop and Broadway come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to October 7.

We celebrate John Mellencamp, Yo-Yo Ma, Toni Braxton, Thom Yorke and Lewis Capaldi, revisit Toni Braxton’s unexpected Broadway chapter, and look back at the opening of Cats on Broadway.

One date, several generations, and music stretching from American rock and R&B to Radiohead, modern pop and musical theatre.
