Latest / Food for the Soul / Tanya chapter 33 part 1 - Joy through the unity of Hashem
Transcript
- 0:00Okay, so good morning everyone, we will dive straight in where we're late, we'll miss out, time is done, right?
- 0:08So chapter 33, we finished the heart, we finished the live and we're going to start the journey moving forward.
- 0:19How to be happy? How to be happy? We already explained in different ways that there is a faith in Hashem,
- 0:28But everything is going to turn out for the good and whatever is not good. It's cleansing for my sins, for my sins and
- 0:36Whatever I don't understand is part of the Godly plan and so on and so forth
- 0:43especially to understand that sometimes it's a test
- 0:46sometimes
- 0:47the Yetserara
- 0:49Nefes b'ameed, that the ballistic soul is pushing us down to be said as a trick, as a strategy,
- 1:02a strategy to make us sin, to make us forget about what we are supposed to be doing.
- 1:09So if she doesn't work rationally to convince us to do something bad, she's trying to
- 1:16to depress us, to make us sad even through worldly matters or make us sad because of
- 1:22spiritual things.
- 1:25And the real doubt I brought earlier is, it depends on the time.
- 1:31If you suddenly get sad about what you did last year, in the middle of the day, this
- 1:37is unlikely to be a holy worry.
- 1:41You know sometimes you get worried, what should I do, I did such bad things, now is not the
- 1:47time for it.
- 1:48We said everything is going to have its appropriate time and that's the measuring stick the
- 1:52author of left off in the end of chapter 29 give or take that you could be happy because
- 2:00even if you think you should be sad or depressed or regret your wrongdoings, nevertheless
- 2:07this is just not the time, now is not the time for it.
- 2:10I think I shared the story, there was once a chassid who didn't have money and his wife
- 2:16told him, how come you're not worried?
- 2:19How come you're not worried or concerned about the fact that we don't have money to buy
- 2:23anything?
- 2:24What did he answer?
- 2:25He said, he thought for a while and then he said, I should be worried, it's really
- 2:31a concerning thing but I just can't right now because I'm busy, I have a shiur
- 2:35sooner than I have night prayers, tomorrow morning after tfilah I could designate some time to
- 2:41be worried.
- 2:42Like you're right, I should be worried, I just don't have time for it right now.
- 2:48So the mental occupation that we choose really depends on what we give attention to.
- 2:56So many times you're right, I should be sad or depressed about all my wrongdoings in
- 3:02the past.
- 3:03But now Hashem asks me to serve Him with joy, now Hashem wants me to be proactive and do
- 3:09good.
- 3:10So, you're right, I should do chuvah, not now.
- 3:13And that's a legitimate question, a legitimate answer.
- 3:16I should do chuvah, not now.
- 3:19Now I'm busy doing mitzvot.
- 3:20Now I'm busy connecting to Hashem directly without regretting my past because the depression
- 3:25will pull me down.
- 3:28After elaborating on the idea of Avat Isra'el, after elaborating on the superiority of the
- 3:35Nishamah over the mastic soul, we'll continue with the journey in Tanya, and after that
- 3:42it says, another strategy on how to be happy.
- 3:45Okay, are you ready?
- 3:47Everyone wants to be happy, right?
- 3:51But one of the things that America was founded on, right, in the constitution, declaration
- 3:59of independence, that America is based on liberty, equality and the justice and the pursuit
- 4:08of happiness, right?
- 4:12That is one of the foundations of America, what I'm saying correctly, what can we take?
- 4:21liberty in the pursuit of happiness she said also justice I don't know maybe
- 4:25justice there was added later on yeah yeah we don't get justice so happiness
- 4:35actually it's not such a Jewish declaration but nevertheless it's a lot
- 4:39of good things and writings here but that's not the foundation but it's good
- 4:43to know that everyone does want to be happy let's channel it into dedication
- 4:47to our show. Chapter 33, page 147 in the red tanyas. By the way, if you're if you really
- 4:55want if you're gonna do this longer, maybe we should start getting the bigger tanyas.
- 4:59It's more comfortable to read. If you feel like this is not comfortable, just speak up.
- 5:05Okay. Because if you guys are not going to say that it's too small, then no one's
- 5:10going to be motivated or incentivized to upgrade. Okay, just letting you know. This
- 5:16This also will be the true joy of the soul, especially when one recognizes at appropriate
- 5:23times that one needs to purify and illuminate one's soul with gladness of the heart.
- 5:31Sometimes you feel like, I need some joy now, I need some happiness now.
- 5:36page 147, you have it? You have it? You found it? It's page 147, chapter 3-3, here you
- 5:53got it? Okay, so it says, if someone feels like he needs that push, that spark of joy
- 6:03in his soul, so what should he do? We're going to suggest to your meditation, which
- 6:08which is unique, and you would say, wow, what does that necessarily have to do with anything.
- 6:13But this is going to be a foundation to be truly happy.
- 6:17And the key of what we meditate about is Hashem's unity.
- 6:25You know what's unity?
- 6:30All together.
- 6:31What's Hashem's unity?
- 6:32Unity of our Hashem with who?
- 6:35What is the Neshama?
- 6:37What is the Neshama with us?
- 6:39More?
- 6:40God's unity with what?
- 6:45World.
- 6:46With the world?
- 6:47Very good with everything.
- 6:50Unity, when we say,
- 6:51Hashem melokainu,
- 6:52Shema Yisrael,
- 6:53Hashem melokainu,
- 6:54Hashem?
- 6:55Echad.
- 6:56Echad.
- 6:57Echad means one.
- 6:59When we say,
- 7:00Hashem is one,
- 7:01we literally mean there is one God
- 7:05not two gods, right? There is one God and not God in Buddha or God in Jesus or God in, I don't know what,
- 7:13spaghetti monster. The movement, you know spaghetti monster.
- 7:18That's not a religion, it's not a religion, so whatever. So yeah, long story short, so that's why
- 7:29we say Hashem Akkad, God is one and not two. Come on, that's what God needs to tell us,
- 7:34to not believe in idols. So yes, in many ways, there was a need to
- 7:42decorate that we do not believe in idols. But it's more than this. Many people think that
- 7:49there's two things. There's God, and there's the world. When I dropped this, why did it fall?
- 8:00Gravity? Why? Or different words? Nature of the world, right? What does this have to do
- 8:06do with God? Nothing. Many people say, okay, this is the world, and there is God. If God
- 8:15wants to make it stay afloat in the air, he needs to do a miracle.
- 8:20What? Okay, we'll get to that in a second. I'm saying the people saying, there's two
- 8:28things, there's nature, there's the regular conduct of the world, and then there's God,
- 8:32right? Do I exist? Yes. Do you exist? Yes. Does the table exist? Yes. So how many
- 8:42things are there in the world? Me, you, the table and God. Right? That's for sure. I
- 8:50didn't know about anything else right now, but like these four things for sure
- 8:53exist. No? So what do I mean? There's one, God is one, there's God and there's
- 8:59me. No? So that makes us two. No. It's one and the same. So God, so I'm not a separate
- 9:10entity. Yeah. And the table is not its own thing. Like, look pretty, pretty solid to me.
- 9:19It's the same time and yes and no, like if it looks like separate but in the truth it's
- 9:27not the same thing.
- 9:28Okay, true.
- 9:29What about the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars, they're all existence, right?
- 9:36They're all like things.
- 9:38So technically one could mistake and say, okay, it's God, God created and now there's
- 9:45God and the world.
- 9:47two things, God could still control the world, God could still intervene in the world, God
- 9:54could still say what's going to happen here or expect us to behave, but it's its own thing.
- 10:03Now that will be a problem in belief, but furthermore we'll see soon that like if you
- 10:12really want to be truly happy what a great meditation you could think about is God's
- 10:16unity with everything. Once you understand how Godly everything is, including me, my being
- 10:23and my whereabouts, whatever happens to me, it's going to help me view everything in a
- 10:31completely different way and realize how lucky I am, how what a merit I have to be a Jew
- 10:46in God's world and God actually turning to me and asking me to do things, we mentioned
- 10:54that in the pahala a while ago, that like imagine you suddenly get a phone call from
- 11:01Trump, he says, hi Esther, I want you to, not Esther, Esther, yes, hi Esther, Trump
- 11:11calls and says, Hi Esther, I want you to design my new room. I want you to make me a painting
- 11:20or make or by me coffee. How would you feel? I'm saying no, but like the president of
- 11:31America calls you to ask you to help him with something. She's a conflict of interest,
- 11:40But we'll still do it.
- 11:43No, you'll feel honored, right?
- 11:46No, Putin, who's Zelensky?
- 11:49Zelensky?
- 11:50I don't know.
- 11:51Trump is more.
- 11:52Trump is more.
- 11:53Okay, we're recording everything, by the way.
- 11:56We're recording everything, just letting you know it's important to...
- 12:03So it's like, wow, he's calling me, he wants me, he needs me.
- 12:08is like an honor. So imagine God calls you and says, hey Esther, God calling and says,
- 12:20hey I want you to make a bracha for me. I want you to light shabbat candles for me. I want
- 12:28you to do this or that for me. How lucky, how joyous should you be? Should we be that
- 12:34the creator of the whole world from 8 billion people chose you to express him, represent
- 12:46him, do something for him, it's the biggest honor and joy possible, especially we're all
- 12:53one with him.
- 12:54So, we're going to see a few concepts of happiness and joy then, how could you walk
- 12:59around you know people today struggle a lot with identity and purpose and why you know
- 13:04like, why am I here? Why am I what makes me special? Why do you know like kids are today they send kids
- 13:13even to therapy to to help them with with with their identity and they they feel insignificant.
- 13:22We're going to see that Atanya is going to answer exactly these questions. How could you feel
- 13:26insignificant? How could you feel meaningless? When the Creator of the universe clearly says
- 13:32he wants you and needs you to accomplish a specific mission, you specifically, from everyone to do
- 13:43something for him and how close he is with you while you do it. So it's like, oh you command me
- 13:50and he's like, you're present together. So let's dive a little bit into this concept of unity of
- 13:56Mashem. It's going to be a little bit of a Kabbalistic intellectual piece and then later
- 14:06we're going to get back to the Fabrion part, to how it's actually going to affect our
- 14:18lives. Again, we're going to realize that like how lucky, how joyous, how we should
- 14:26be dancing on the streets. I know who talks to you, if Trump doesn't talk to you, imagine
- 14:31a celebrity you admire. You know, or I don't know what, someone you really like, I want
- 14:37to give examples of random guayim, but like imagine someone you really, and then they
- 14:42like, you know, they see that they stop or they come to you, there's all these like,
- 14:46you know, when they do the selections today in Israel, you see sometimes the presidents,
- 14:51They go visit the school, visit the family, they want to show that they're like simple
- 14:57people.
- 14:58So, it's a great honor for anyone to get those visits.
- 15:03Okay, let's look inside the words of the Tanya.
- 15:09Let him concentrate.
- 15:10Let's actually go around and let everyone read a little bit.
- 15:14Yeah?
- 15:15Page 147.
- 15:16Let's start with Emma.
- 15:21Let him then concentrate on the fifth line, chapter 33, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, yeah, sound five
- 15:37rows from the top, let him then concentrate.
- 15:40Let him then concentrate his mind and envasage in his intelligence and understanding the
- 15:47subject of his blessed true unity, how he permeates all the worlds both upper and lower
- 15:54even the fullness of the earth and its blessed glory, and how everything is of no reality
- 16:00whatsoever in his presence. And he lives as one alone, and he has her in lower realms.
- 16:06To hate him also...
- 16:08The other way, we swap, we swap, we change, we flip pages. Next page, as he...
- 16:17As he was one alone before the sixth phase of creation, he is also in space wherein
- 16:22this world was created. The heaven and the earth and all that are opposed, he alone showed his
- 16:28face. And now also this is so being one alone without any change whatsoever.
- 16:34So we see here what, thank you Emma. The unity of Hashem, first of all, he gives us a title and
- 16:42a subtitle. Let's focus on the unity of God, subtitle, how he primates all the worlds. He's
- 16:50full of everything, upper and lower. What's the upper worlds of the lower worlds? We mentioned
- 16:55that there's a lot of levels of worlds, there's the potential worlds, there's theoretical worlds,
- 17:00there's the planning worlds, there's the angel worlds, there's a lot of worlds that
- 17:05we could speak. Behind every, imagine you see a printed book, behind the book there's
- 17:15a story in the mind of the author, right? So, the book exists on two levels, printed
- 17:21paper and in the mind of the author. Are those two the same book? Technically
- 17:31same book but this one is in the thought world and this is printed. So we
- 17:38see that the same item can exist on a spiritual level or on a physical level.
- 17:43And obviously in the spiritual level it could be more refined, it could be more
- 17:48details and the physical is more like a narrow down idea of the same
- 17:53story. So too as God as a Creator and the creation, same thing, we see here this world behind everything
- 18:03there is a spiritual world that actually says that every flower has an angel that comes to it every
- 18:14morning and tells it to grow. Every flower has an angel, every grass straw has an angel.
- 18:23I don't understand an angel, to be honest, I'm not a big angel, a scientist, I didn't
- 18:32ever saw an angel, but I can tell you the following, that there is a specific godly
- 18:37energy for every item in the world, especially if it grows and is alive.
- 18:42There is an angel for every animal, what's an angel?
- 18:49I don't know.
- 18:50could be that this is like the channel, the charger, the entity in charge of this item
- 19:01in the world. It's almost like the spiritual version of everything in this world. What
- 19:09we see here is physical. We see a table, we see a flower. This flower is obviously
- 19:15representation of the godly power because God creates it. From God who is infinite to a physical
- 19:24flower, we said there's a lot of contractions, a lot of seem to mean, a lot of limiting of the energy
- 19:31till we get to a specific channel of energy to create this item. That will be called an angel.
- 19:40An angel is going to be a spiritual entity in charge of making this flower grow.
- 19:44there's actually it says in the in the creation of the world that God told all
- 19:58the trees to grow each to each their category basically to every type of
- 20:04tree to grow in their own groups what does it mean all the this type of
- 20:13tree, and that type of tree, that every type of tree will be distinct from the others.
- 20:21Okay? But it says, minneh, it seems, I forgot the words, God says to every type of tree to
- 20:33be created in its own way, and then God says, let there be grass, greens on the floor, not trees,
- 20:40on the floor. It says, a basooka later, and then every grass grew in its own
- 20:48category, in its own type. Not all the grass and flowers the same, not all the
- 20:54vegetables the same, rather each one in their own thing. And it says, one second,
- 21:01Hashem didn't tell them to group in categories, just said, let there be green
- 21:07on the earth. Not so many different types. The Midrash explains to us that they did the
- 21:13Kalvachomel. You know what's a Kalvachomel? Kalvachomel? Kalvachomel, you say every morning
- 21:22before, how do the 13 ways Rabbi Ishmael says, the 13 ways how to study Torah? Have you seen
- 21:30know before? What are the 13? Say it every day? No, you know 13? One, three, you know the number?
- 21:4513 ways and strategies, how to study Torah, right? How to decrypt the Torah. The Torah has a lot of
- 21:57words. How could I learn things from it? 13 rules. How to analyze it? Could anyone mention me
- 22:06one of the 13 at least?
- 22:11Open the Sidhu.
- 22:16Rabbi Ishmael says there are 13 ways that Torah is analysed.
- 22:24I am patient, so I should open the Sidhu and give me at least one.
- 22:35You know where it is in the Sidhu?
- 22:40Okay.
- 22:41Right before Hodu.
- 23:00Well, you passed it, you passed it, you passed it, right there before that, before hudu,
- 23:17one page before, don't know, yeah, one more page, one more page on the bottom.
- 23:23Let's see if anyone else found it, you say it, Rabbi Ishmael O'Mal, before hudu, before
- 23:35we start the prayer? You have it?
- 23:41No?
- 23:42Rabbi Ishmael Omer.
- 23:45Show me the story.
- 23:49Exactly. One second.
- 23:52One page back. That's the page I've opened. No, it's there. The other way.
- 23:56The other way. Yeah. In the bottom. All the way in the bottom, the last two lines.
- 24:01All the way in the bottom. Rabbi Ishmael Omer. All the way in the bottom.
- 24:06Rabbi Ishmael says, yes, exactly.
- 24:10In the 13th Torah, it could be that girls don't say it, don't take me wrong, I wasn't like...
- 24:19You know this piece? You say this piece?
- 24:22We know it.
- 24:23What?
- 24:24We know it.
- 24:25Okay, so you know it, what does it say?
- 24:27It says it was expanded.
- 24:38So we're going to start, we're not going to go through all 13.
- 24:40But the main ones are, Calvahomir is the first one, Gzerah Shavah, for example, what's
- 24:50Gzerah Shavah?
- 24:51Did you ever learn this?
- 24:54We should do maybe a shiur, maybe next Monday we'll do a shiur on this topic, okay?
- 24:58We'll do, we'll go to the 13th and we're going to study what they are, how to learn
- 25:03Torah from one to another.
- 25:05I'm going to sub next week again, so I'm going to do a shio specifically on those 13.
- 25:12But the first one, kalvachomel, is to learn a severe condition from a light condition.
- 25:19For example, does the Torah say you're not allowed to marry your daughter?
- 25:24No.
- 25:25The Torah says you're not allowed to marry your daughter's daughter.
- 25:30The Torah doesn't say you don't know how to marry your daughter, no it's not, I'm going
- 25:37to mean understandable, understandable from who?
- 25:39Well, why can't you touch her before, like, wouldn't you both?
- 25:43Well, it's a separate question.
- 25:47What does it mean?
- 25:48The Torah tells us, if I tell you that your daughter's daughter you're not allowed
- 25:52to marry, your daughter for sure not.
- 25:57Now, it's almost like in Torah, you say, oh, who said,
- 26:01the Torah doesn't say that?
- 26:05Rabbi Ishmael teaches us, there's a way to learn
- 26:08the severe case from the lenient case.
- 26:11If in the lenient case, I tell you no,
- 26:14then in the severe case, I'm sure gonna tell you no.
- 26:21Another example.
- 26:34This is a little example,
- 26:35so I'm gonna open another halachic topic.
- 26:37Let's say, if I stole $1, or I stole $100, and for $1, I need to get punished and arrested.
- 26:52Then if I stole $100, for sure I'm going to get arrested, I need to get punished, right?
- 27:01Why?
- 27:02I just stole $1,000,000.
- 27:05Still?
- 27:06If you get the punishment, you're still going to get the, as a joke, about the million
- 27:11dollars is one time a big a big millionaire who wanted a Hatan son-in-law for his
- 27:17daughter so he went to the big Yishiva and he asked the main Rabbi Rabbi could
- 27:24you send me the top students okay the first student comes in and the
- 27:29millionaire asked the young student tell me if you find a check of a million
- 27:35dollars on Shabbat on the floor what do you do no no I'm not not touching
- 27:40So no, no, you're not you're not good for my daughter
- 27:43He calls the second guy in asking him if you see a check of a million dollars on Shabbat on the floor
- 27:48What do you do? So I put my leg I put my foot on it and wait after till after Shabbat
- 27:54And then I take the check says no, no, you're not for my daughter
- 27:57So then the third guy comes in he asked him if I what do you do if you find the check of a million dollars on Shabbat?
- 28:02On the floor says if I find a million dollars. I don't need your daughter. I
- 28:07Don't need your daughter anymore
- 28:12So, kal vachomer means that if on the small thing you get the punishment, on the big
- 28:19thing for sure, kal vachomer, kal linient, kamur, severe.
- 28:27So if the law in a light case is printed in the sinu, kal vachomer, so learn the
- 28:46hard things from this lighting. Now, why did we mention all of this? Because the grass made
- 28:55kalvachomit. If the trees, Hashem told them to come out individually and there aren't so many
- 29:03types of trees and God still told them to be grouped up and each one grow in their own way,
- 29:11how much more so grass that we are so widespread that we should be different
- 29:18than distinct from each other and have different categories of grass. Now, the
- 29:25Midash al-Sra'id way, like what do you mean, the grass made a calvahomer? Since when could
- 29:31grass think? Since when could grass have an opinion on the matter? The flowers
- 29:40had a conversation all the flowers at the meeting and decided to have different
- 29:45colors and as I know we can't all be blue let's let's let's divide the answer
- 29:54that there is every every creation has an angel and the angel is the channel
- 30:00that creates that specific that specific grass or that specific flower and
- 30:06And that's how they divide that's how they had it's almost like the angels that the source of energy
- 30:13Is in charge of making those things grow so it's almost a shem delegates
- 30:18creation to a lot a lot of like I
- 30:22Don't say subcontractors, but like channels and each channel does the one thing so behind every physical item
- 30:28There's an angel that creates it and gives it the power. It's a spiritual representation
- 30:33Now, okay, we can see the angel is also a presentation of a of a higher energy and higher and higher
- 30:40We could keep reverse engineering all the way to get to the source
- 30:44Anyone in tech reverse engineering? I know what that is
- 30:50Reverse engineering
- 30:52No, no encoding
- 30:54Yeah, you buy probably
- 30:59Just an AI now. I'm saying like see you're not familiar with it. Okay
- 31:04so basically you could back trace all the way to the source. So this is just a
- 31:11glimpse, so I said that behind everything in the world there is a creator, there
- 31:17is a higher world. And we say that Hashem is one, not just in the lower
- 31:22worlds, rather also in the superior worlds, not just in the physical realms,
- 31:27realms, rather also in the spiritual ones, and he's the same before he
- 31:36created the world, and after he created the world. Did anything change by God when
- 31:41he created the world? He didn't become God plus one? Why not? He created the world.
- 31:49Why does God in the world? Does the world exist? Yes. So did the world exist
- 31:58before? Before some created it? No. So what is there now? Two things, right? God in
- 32:07the world. God became more. You know, someone's like, there was
- 32:11the woman if she's pregnant or not pregnant? No? Of course, that's a woman, woman plus baby.
- 32:23It's very distinct, very different. Okay, we're not going to fully answer, but
- 32:33you need to know the answer. The answer is that before Hashem created the world,
- 32:36and after he created the world, there's no change in a certain way. The answer could be
- 32:42because it's compared to infiniteness. When you have infinite energy, infinite money,
- 32:47infinite anything if I give you if you have infinite money and I give you another dollar do you have
- 32:53more money now no technically yes but not really because you anyway have infinite so there's no
- 33:03no numbers so what you added is insignificant so step one God's unity God's unity with creation
- 33:16God is being the one and alone and the higher and lower realms before he created the world
- 33:22and literally after the six days of creation, same thing. And if that's what we say,
- 33:30so also now after the world was created, God is technically present here just as much as he was
- 33:36before. It's not like Hashem created a space that is actually void of him, whether it's one with
- 33:48So let's say a little further inside. Page 149. For all things created in Chaya, do you want to read for us?
- 34:07We're on the seventh row on the first column on page 149. For all things created.
- 34:15For all things created and modified.
- 34:21No problem, let's continue with Sarah.
- 34:24For all things created are notified beside him in their very existence, as are notified
- 34:32their source, within their source, mainly the essence and substance of the soul.
- 34:41Which are its 10 facilities?
- 34:44Faculties?
- 34:45Faculties of Montenegro, etc., where in the element of letters it's not yet found
- 34:52Um, we are to their end of movement in the garment of thought, as has been explained at length in...
- 35:01Chapters 20, 21.
- 35:0320 and 21 are known there.
- 35:05So, what are we saying here? You called?
- 35:09No.
- 35:10Oh, okay. I was worried.
- 35:12Everything is nullified to Hashem. You know what's nullified?
- 35:28What's nullified? Which word does it come from?
- 35:31No.
- 35:32Now, now is zero, right? How is it zero in French?
- 35:39So
- 35:41In there's other language you say now zero nothing nullified means
- 35:47nothing
- 35:49When we say that everything is nullified to a shem
- 35:53We say it's almost nonexistent
- 35:56Compared to him, but it does exist but it doesn't exist does exist but doesn't exist back and forth
- 36:02I'll give you an example.
- 36:04Before you say a word, let's say you say good morning, we say hi Esther, okay?
- 36:10Before we say hi Esther, do these words exist in my mind before I say them?
- 36:16Before I say them physically, are they in my mind?
- 36:21What's the proof?
- 36:22You can hear yourself thinking that.
- 36:25That I say them, if I wouldn't be thinking about those words, I wouldn't be able to
- 36:29say them high-aster because it needs to be in my brain the words high right otherwise it wouldn't
- 36:34come out this way good morning now I say it it shows that before that they were in my mind
- 36:43now before I said good morning the words in my mind there's endless words in my brain
- 36:52how many words could a person talk in his life woman could talk infinite
- 36:59No, I'm just kidding, you just have to like insert that.
- 37:06Technically if there wouldn't be a limitation of talking, people could talk endless.
- 37:10The brain is no limit of words.
- 37:13So do the words good morning exist in my brain before I said them or not?
- 37:18Or the words high-aster, more specific, because good morning I could say many times.
- 37:22Say, this is very specific that I just thought of it and now it's in my brain.
- 37:26Are these words existent in the world of talking in my mind?
- 37:37They're not actually existent because they're insignificant, they're like nothing, they're
- 37:43like another drop in the water, imagine the whole ocean you turn out a drop, the drop
- 37:51is in the ocean, yes but like if this water is actually infinite and the good morning
- 37:56is like nothing in the big picture, right? Compared to everything. So this is the example
- 38:05the altar ever brings to the world and to creations compared to Hashem who existed. You can say
- 38:17the good morning is not there but the good morning is not significant or independent.
- 38:29Sheila, do you want to read it? Sheila? Do you want to read for us another illustration?
- 38:34as is explained elsewhere by means of an illustration from nature, mainly the nullification of the sun's
- 38:54radiation and light at their source, the order of the sun in the sky. For surely it is
- 39:03greater than the light from all of them, but for there too, and even more strongly than
- 39:09in the space of the universe. So there in the sun, the light is nullified within its
- 39:15source, as though it were nonexistent, nonexistent at all.
- 39:23Because English is even hard English for people to speak English, so don't be surprised if
- 39:27you don't.
- 39:28There's actually a new tanya which is great, it's called tanya in plain English.
- 39:31It's basically a tanya translated into English, like the English translation translated into
- 39:36English.
- 39:38Because this is English that most people don't understand.
- 39:40So they made a new tanya that this English is translated into simple English, amazing
- 39:47project.
- 39:48So it's called tanya in plain English, you can even find it online.
- 39:55the sun and the rays of the sun that shine here. When I see the sun shining here, there's the whole
- 40:01sun, this big bowl of of of gas and fire and and then heat and light. There's one string of light
- 40:13that comes and then there's through the whole forest, there's a little hole and then the
- 40:17light shines into the forest. You ever saw that where it's like dark in the forest and you see
- 40:22like the rays of light shine through, you see the sun, if we go back and take this sun that
- 40:33I see this light here, I go back in the sun, before it came here it was there, right?
- 40:39And before it was outside coming out of the sun, where was it?
- 40:43It was inside of the sun.
- 40:45So let's take the same, this is the sun, this is the light, that's actually a weight
- 40:54but doesn't make a difference.
- 40:56So let's take this section of light, I'm looking back and I'm putting it here.
- 41:03This piece of light was in the sun before it came outside of the sun because it came outside
- 41:07of the sun, for sure the light existed inside also, but it's obviously nonexisting at all
- 41:19because compared to the whole sun, and in the sun this is the source of it, so it's
- 41:24It's not like it has its existence there.
- 41:29You could start getting used to the sounds of the hearers.
- 41:32The whole wind through the whole New York has the steamers that make the noise.
- 41:38So if you hear that, it's all normal.
- 41:41If you wake up in the middle of the night, it's like, it's still fine.
- 41:46It's part of the New York experience where you don't have your own...
- 41:49It's the rats.
- 41:50What?
- 41:51The rats.
- 41:52That's not the rats.
- 41:53it's that don't scared the girls more than they're scared. So we're saying that the same way that the
- 42:00light you see it in the sky, how much more so it is the way it's inside of the Sun, but there it's
- 42:09nullified within the source as though it was not existing at all. So this is an example, we need
- 42:14to keep thinking that imagine you are a ladder in God's mind, you are an array of light inside
- 42:24of the sun.
- 42:32Imagine that this is a God, this is Esther, just for conversation purposes, let's make
- 42:42it clear, no it's Esther, and she technically it's an independent entity because God created
- 42:50human, right? The only thing is that God is not limited to being here, right? God is also the
- 43:00sun is bigger, it's here and it's here. Now Esther is part of the sun. So technically it's here but
- 43:12it's also just full of endless light so the existence is completely irrelevant.
- 43:23So one and it's there, on the other hand it's technically not there because it's completely
- 43:28nullified and insignificant compared to the greatness of the sun.
- 43:36And technically the whole world, our whole world is part of the sun, not the sun literally
- 43:52like God as the sun.
- 43:54So taking the entire universe is part of the endlessness of Godliness, so it's completely
- 44:01nullified within its existence, as if it was never created. This is a theory, you
- 44:10don't have to like have it like settle in your brains yet, but this is just the
- 44:15theory. Slowly we're gonna expand on this a little bit, see how we could make it
- 44:19a little more tangible in our brains, and then try to see how this could make
- 44:23us happy. This is a nice concept, how do I become more happy in my day-to-day
- 44:27day life by knowing this. Okay? Until then, turn not to get burned by the sun and have a great day.
