- 5:23All right guys, what's going on? It's another episode of the
- 5:26After Hours podcast. Carl called out sick today.
- 5:29He's actually not sick. He has a lot of work to do
- 5:33because Daryl's going to final bout so he's got to paint his
- 5:38car so. Just me and Frank.
- 5:45Well, then we got a wheel and we got the skeleton, but they're
- 5:48probably not going to say much. So it's just me and Malcolm, but
- 5:52we got some questions and you know what, guys?
- 5:56It's just AQ and a episode and we're just hanging out so.
- 5:59We're just hanging if. You're looking for any like
- 6:01important card knowledge or stuff like that.
- 6:03You're going to want to skip this episode, and that's what
- 6:05you're going to want. To do if you want some comedy,
- 6:07you're going to want. To yeah, you stay right where
- 6:10you are because this is going to be fucking retarded.
- 6:13All right before we start. We got a Mark Mike's Hard
- 6:17Lemonade, first of all. Yeah, I haven't had one of these
- 6:20in probably 10 years. I got a Jocko mulk protein shake
- 6:24and I saw Eddie drinking some of these so.
- 6:26I knew he was getting bigger and.
- 6:28It's wearing off. It's it's rubbing off, as they
- 6:30say, rubbing off. That's kind of weird.
- 6:32Rubbing off what did? What did you get in there?
- 6:37I got a chunk of something I'm done with.
- 6:38That I came in, that I. Was going to say I was going to
- 6:43ask how many times you rub one off, but maybe not the best way
- 6:46to start this podcast. So before we started you were
- 6:50talking about Jugg Juggalos? Juggalos, yes.
- 6:55Insane Clown Posse. Insane in the membrane.
- 6:59If you will. And you said, what about them?
- 7:01I said we got to go to one of those Juggalo fests one day.
- 7:05What do they call it? Damn, we don't have you with the
- 7:07computer anymore. That's fine, we got our phones
- 7:10right here. What's a phone?
- 7:13Yeah, computer. Juggalo.
- 7:17They call it the Juggalo Gathering.
- 7:19OK, yeah, they just hang out, do some music, show some butt
- 7:26holes. That's literally what they're
- 7:29known for, what they be like yo show your butt hole and then
- 7:32they just show their butt hole. Like any juggalo you'd be like,
- 7:35yo show your butt hole. And boom, there's like only fans
- 7:40before only fans. It's a sponsor free independent
- 7:43rap festival and family reunion for fans of Insane Clown Posse.
- 7:49I couldn't name one song. Insane in the membrane.
- 7:52That's not this band. Am I wrong?
- 7:56Yes. I thought that that was insane.
- 7:58Insane in the membrane. Like insane in the membrane,
- 8:01insane in the brain. That song.
- 8:02Yeah. No, bro.
- 8:05Stop. Are you kidding me?
- 8:06That's that fucking rap group. Oh, that's Cypress Hill.
- 8:09Like what? I thought that was insane.
- 8:13Are. You fucking kidding me?
- 8:18What are you fucking retarded insane in the membrane?
- 8:23What are you saying got no brain?
- 8:25What? I mean that song is the dumbest
- 8:27shit I ever heard but people love it.
- 8:29Well then I guess I don't know any Insane Clown Posse.
- 8:32No, no one knows any. Songs.
- 8:33I literally thought that was their song for like the past 10
- 8:36years. That's Cypress.
- 8:38Now that you know it's Cypress Hill, how does that make you
- 8:40feel? Still want to go to a Juggalo
- 8:42gathering? OK this seems fun.
- 8:44They do a lot of fun stuff. I feel like people of all
- 8:47colors. I don't know, when I think of
- 8:50Juggalo gathering the first thing that comes to mind is like
- 8:52KKK meet up straight up. No, there's actually a lot of
- 8:55black people at the Juggalo gathering.
- 8:57I'm just telling you, like that's the same kind of energy.
- 9:00I'm like oh fucking weirdos that dress up and hang out like.
- 9:04Oh. Weird.
- 9:06Like that's fucking weird. I guess so, yo.
- 9:08Let's hang out. Like, I mean, furries, I don't
- 9:15want to bring it up, but furries, same thing, same kind
- 9:19of thing. But Speaking of dressing up,
- 9:22going out, can we go to the Renaissance Fair this year?
- 9:26I think we might have missed it. No, it's August to like October
- 9:30or something. That's a long time.
- 9:32Are you sure? I.
- 9:34Think so? It's in New York.
- 9:35See how helpful you are when you're on the computer.
- 9:37Yeah, fuck. That's like a fucking integral
- 9:39part of this operation. Renaissance is a hard word to
- 9:44spell. I'll go to the Renaissance Fair.
- 9:47Renaissance Fair. Didn't Chris, Didn't Chris Knapp
- 9:51and all of them go to them one year?
- 9:53Yeah, they did. They did.
- 9:54Let's go with them. I'm down.
- 9:57All right here. Oh yeah.
- 10:02August 16th to October 5th. What's happening right now?
- 10:07It is. Now do you have to dress up?
- 10:11Like you don't have to. Like a muppet to get in like
- 10:13it's. Part of the fun though.
- 10:15Oh. OK.
- 10:15Like what are we doing? I'll dress up as a jester
- 10:19that's. Just like some rich white people
- 10:21shit like a renaissance fit. Let's pretend we're broke and
- 10:25poor and dying of fucking plague or just go to work like you
- 10:29don't kind of fucking do all this like or just go play golf
- 10:33like do something normal like you don't have to I.
- 10:35Guess. I mean, I guess it's I got to go
- 10:38before I say yeah. You'll probably love it.
- 10:39You're going to be like, the food's amazing.
- 10:41The food, Yeah, that's the. Way you go, you go for the food
- 10:44and there's a lot of busty women.
- 10:46Go for the food, stay for the boobs.
- 10:49Honestly. I, I guess, I don't know, go for
- 10:52the food, stay for the plague, like is there because like it's
- 10:56not, it's not going to be realistic because if it was
- 11:01going to be realistic, someone would get injured before we
- 11:03left. Maybe they do.
- 11:05Wait, that's not the right they do.
- 11:07I was going to say jousting. That's, I think, medieval.
- 11:09No, no, that's medieval. Oh, they might.
- 11:12They might have to. What We need you on the
- 11:17computer. What is actually the difference
- 11:19between Medieval and Renaissance?
- 11:23Is the Renaissance supposed to be the Renaissance era?
- 11:25You should have your your laptop over here Renaissance.
- 11:30Let me go get that shit. This shit's going to get
- 11:32interesting. Hold on, I'm just going.
- 11:35To sit here awkwardly. If you've been to the
- 11:40Renaissance Fair, let me know how it is.
- 11:44I know they had do it in like a good amount of states, but I
- 11:49think the New York 1 is a pretty big one.
- 11:52It's in Tuxedo, NY. Yeah, yeah, it's on a really
- 11:55good Rd. We've seen we've no, I've
- 11:57passed. If you go the other way and you
- 11:58go into 7 Lakes Park, you'll find Johnny somewhere in there.
- 12:01Oh shit. Up on the mountain, hiding from
- 12:04the from the fucking cops. All right, what am I looking up?
- 12:07Why is it called Renaissance Fair?
- 12:13Or medieval? OK, but what's the is a
- 12:17Renaissance period in the medieval?
- 12:19Yeah, that's what they're saying.
- 12:20They're saying it's the time period they're recreating is the
- 12:22Renaissance. OK, that was a whole.
- 12:25That's like the. But I thought the Renaissance
- 12:27was. I'm confusing Renaissance with
- 12:29something else that happened in like the 1800s or 17.
- 12:36I think you're going. You got to go.
- 12:37Or maybe. I am thinking about the same
- 12:38thing. I just never really put too much
- 12:40thought into it. Yeah.
- 12:44Oh, medieval fair conjures ideas of disease and pestilence.
- 12:50Renaissance Fair sounds more fun, that's why they don't call
- 12:53it medieval fair. Medieval fair.
- 12:55Yeah, yeah, yeah. Renaissance is more like
- 12:57romantic, I guess you could say. Yeah, medieval is not a good
- 13:01name. When I hear medieval, I think,
- 13:04oh, people are dying. Like medieval times.
- 13:06Yeah, like someone's you either getting your your foot's just
- 13:10falling off from like that one plague, or you're getting
- 13:13stabbed to death. Yeah, or you're getting killed
- 13:18by the king. Yeah, you're getting your body
- 13:20ripped apart. Yeah, like we're just going to
- 13:22put you on this little device we made with ropes.
- 13:24Crank it down. Crank it down.
- 13:25We're just going to crank it until we start hearing your
- 13:27bones popping out of their fucking joints.
- 13:28Like what the fuck was wrong with those people?
- 13:31I. Don't know, that was a tough
- 13:34time to be alive. But we got people nowadays, like
- 13:36I'm so stressed out, right? My God.
- 13:39Yeah, your life's so. Fucking cortisol levels.
- 13:45I just got cut off. I'm going to fucking kill
- 13:47somebody. Let's talk about that video I
- 13:48shared today on Instagram where there was someone in New York
- 13:52City trying to kill themselves and they just.
- 13:54Laying on the tracks. They decided the best place to
- 13:56do this it. Was on the subway.
- 13:57Was to go lay on the subway tracks in the middle of the day
- 14:00before the trains coming. Yeah.
- 14:04I'm sure the train's going to just keep on coming and just
- 14:06kill. Yeah, definitely.
- 14:08No, let me tell you, that actually happened.
- 14:10This motherfucker thought he'd get some attention by laying on
- 14:12the tracks and get people. To feel sorry for him and the
- 14:14lady recording is commentating saying yo do this shit at home,
- 14:19you want to kill yourself do this shit at home you just want.
- 14:21To take shit like what are you doing?
- 14:23You're making everyone's day. You're ruining everyone's day
- 14:26for this shit. Like, and I talked to Tom about
- 14:28it and Tom was like, dude, when there's always traffic on the
- 14:30Verrazano Bridge and people screaming at people just fucking
- 14:33jump already pussy like all this.
- 14:35Shit, Oh my God. Because they just fucked the
- 14:37whole day up for everyone. And it's like, dude, grow up.
- 14:46I got to watch what I say because we don't know where this
- 14:47is going yet. I don't know.
- 14:49I don't want to keep going and then like.
- 14:52Oh God. Get a rope like a man.
- 14:54All right? Yeah.
- 14:56So what else? Oh.
- 14:57Speaking of dressing up and going places, final bout's
- 14:59coming up soon. Final bout's coming up and we're
- 15:02not going. So you got to look approachable.
- 15:05So yeah, what was that dress up? What was that whole thing?
- 15:07Someone just said that or something.
- 15:08Oh, I think the rumor goes. Simba referenced it in the in
- 15:12the last reel for the new shirt Today you got to look
- 15:15approachable, so buy a. New merch, the merch
- 15:18advertisement reel. He mentioned that, but what was
- 15:22the whole, I didn't really understand that whole thing.
- 15:23What was going on? Apparently someone was talking
- 15:25shit and like oh. Yeah.
- 15:27They what like I'm not, I don't, I don't dress approachable.
- 15:30Or something, someone's no someone's like, oh, these people
- 15:32don't dress approachable to like ask for ride alongs or
- 15:35something, something like that. I don't.
- 15:36Know we're talking about some like knowledge that but most
- 15:38people probably don't know but I.
- 15:40Don't know, it was some fun about drama last year or two
- 15:42years ago, I forget. Yeah, but we're not going this
- 15:45year. Simba told us that we there's
- 15:49not enough room for vendors. On we asked, we asked to vendor
- 15:53too late. Yeah.
- 15:55So, yeah. And unfortunately we, I mean,
- 16:00like we, we did try, there was a thought of us trying.
- 16:03He did offer us tickets. So we were going to try to come
- 16:07out and. Just show up and hang out.
- 16:09Dupod, no, I can't do that. Well, I literally cannot.
- 16:12Afford it at the event, yeah, so event at the event, but we would
- 16:16in the upon the journey, we would try to do podcasts.
- 16:19Yeah, videos, podcasts, whatever.
- 16:21And then just come and sell shirts out of our fucking
- 16:24backpacks. But Carl's got a family reunion
- 16:27that week, too, so now we're thinking it.
- 16:29Might be beat. I mean, it's literally in a week
- 16:31and 1/2, so we're kind of beat. Yeah, it's just pointless at
- 16:34this point so, but I hope you guys have fun.
- 16:37Sees garage is going, so it's going to be pretty cool.
- 16:41Send me pictures of the infield. I want to see all these vendor
- 16:43booths anyway, What else we got going on?
- 16:48Maybe we'll see you guys at a What was that a Cali event
- 16:53called Super D? Yeah, we went to that.
- 16:55We were working on the car yesterday.
- 16:57I got there are some questions in here.
- 17:00First question, where's the hot lab?
- 17:04Who do you think they yearn for the hot lab?
- 17:06Who do you think noticed that you didn't do a hot lab, Alexi?
- 17:08Yep, Yep. Yep.
- 17:11I already know. OK, we're going to hit some
- 17:16questions because if you just let me Malcolm talk, this is
- 17:19going to go straight to Patreon. So it's going to get real freaky
- 17:22too. And it already might have gone
- 17:23there, so still looking for a shot project.
- 17:27Speak up when you ask the questions.
- 17:30I whispered. You'd be like, all right, I got
- 17:31a question here. What is?
- 17:34Well, because I'm like, I don't really want to read it.
- 17:36For because it well, read it in your head for how do you?
- 17:39How do you do it? Imagine you could do that.
- 17:42This is what happens when you do that Malcolm watch.
- 17:47That's why I don't do that because this is the podcast and
- 17:50we're trying to talk. Still looking for a shot project
- 17:53question. I'll sell my roller 350Z for a
- 17:56Driftline kit or 180SX please. He'll sell.
- 18:03Sell my Roller 350Z for a drift. Line kit one for a 180 or AZ so
- 18:10you'll just straight trade a car for for.
- 18:12A kit. How clapped is this?
- 18:13It's a roller so it's probably gutted.
- 18:15Probably no hood it's. Got to be fucking destroyed.
- 18:19Yeah. We actually have a, we actually
- 18:23have a shot Project Z lined up so.
- 18:26How are you up with that shit, MO?
- 18:27Yeah, I'm trying to get some more work done on my car before
- 18:30we fucking bring a whole another, you know, whole another
- 18:36plate. Yeah, a whole another fucking
- 18:38problem. Who's winning in a fight?
- 18:3950 wolves versus one hippo. That's a good one.
- 18:42And it's 50 wolves. Yeah, 100%, yeah is no question
- 18:46on that one. In the water Hippo.
- 18:50Maybe, Yeah. No, I really don't even know.
- 18:54There's 50 wolves. A hippo is.
- 18:57They can swim. More at home in the water.
- 18:59Yeah, 100%, but there's 50 wolves.
- 19:03Yeah, that hippo could bite about three of them at a time.
- 19:06Drown them. Boom.
- 19:07See what you're talking about? This is exactly how I feel about
- 19:10a gorilla versus 50 men or whatever.
- 19:12You're dumb for that. The 50 men are winning.
- 19:14Well, it's 100 men. Right. 100 men.
- 19:16Yeah, yeah. That's exactly how I feel about
- 19:19that. Whatever dude.
- 19:24I like this guy's name Dookie style Nate.
- 19:27That's the one I was going to read.
- 19:29Bone stock Z and six or stock KAS 13 for learning to do the D.
- 19:34First of all, never say that again, all right?
- 19:37That's the first thing. Second thing, S13.
- 19:42No matter what, every time it's an S13.
- 19:45So S13. Yeah, yeah, no matter what.
- 19:49S13 as chassis, every day, all forever.
- 19:53Actually no, because the stock KA.
- 19:55Oh wait, never mind. It doesn't matter.
- 19:57I was going to say he's going to have an open dip but you just
- 19:59saying the motor stuck. All motor or turbo?
- 20:04By the way, someone buy Malcolm some flowers.
- 20:08What? What does that mean?
- 20:10AM. I going to die soon.
- 20:16You got so many people with crushes on you and.
- 20:18Stop. Don't say that.
- 20:20Where's your boy been at? Lachlan Lachlan, if you're out
- 20:23there still listening. And I kind of miss the creepy
- 20:26comments. No.
- 20:27Why would you stay? Back.
- 20:28Come back to me. OK, well, yeah, I don't know why
- 20:31you need flowers, but all motor or turbo for drifting.
- 20:33It's turbo. We actually were talking about
- 20:35this the other day because we were talking about the Z that we
- 20:38might get in the future. And I was like trying to figure
- 20:43out how we going to make this thing sound good and all this
- 20:45stuff. And we eventually found some
- 20:47like extravagant header that we could get to make it sound good.
- 20:50But at the end of the day, I was like, NA drift cars don't really
- 20:56do it for me at all. Like something about like just
- 21:01the driving style of drifting, how it's like on throttle, off
- 21:04throttle, high RPM stuff. I I was like, even if you put a
- 21:10nice header on this car, like I made it sound like a race car,
- 21:14it still would not sound. Yeah, I don't know.
- 21:18I just, yeah, I don't picture it sounding good, so I'm going to
- 21:20go with Turbo no matter what for drifting.
- 21:22Turbo dude. Unless it's like a a 86 that's I
- 21:28wouldn't even put a turbo on that then.
- 21:30So I guess some cars are like different.
- 21:32But if you want any power, I would do a turbo no matter what
- 21:35just so it sounds better. Yeah.
- 21:37What do you think? Turbo sounds cooler.
- 21:40Hit that turbo. Unless you got AV 8.
- 21:44Yeah, but do you like the way the?
- 21:47No, no, I don't really like how they sound.
- 21:51What about drifting? What about it?
- 21:55Yeah, fuck swing that shit. We just come around Hairpin,
- 22:01like I'd be over that too. Yeah, just the whole time.
- 22:08Yeah. You saw the Patrick?
- 22:09Yeah, yeah, the Patrick Swayze. Swayze Questions.
- 22:14Who read that? Who?
- 22:15Who asked that? PJ Sill, 80.
- 22:18PJ Sill, 80, asks who would win in a fight, Patrick Swayze or
- 22:22cancer? Is he alive?
- 22:27I didn't close this shit like we were done like that was the only
- 22:31reason I bought brought that. Laptop up again brother.
- 22:34You're Jamie for the day now, Dance Monkey.
- 22:38OK, he died, so I'm going to say cancer.
- 22:44I must say cancer on that one. PF Flyers or Converse.
- 22:51I don't even know what PF are. I just looked up PF Flyers.
- 22:53It's an ugly version of Converse.
- 22:54All right. So we both didn't know what
- 22:56those were. So Converse, PF Flyers, I just
- 23:00like why? They're 90 bucks.
- 23:03Yeah, and they just say PF. They literally want to look like
- 23:06Converse. But the patch says PF.
- 23:08That's some Carl shit. Get some Jesus shit.
- 23:12Honestly, yeah. This is probably what fucking
- 23:17snap on use for their shoes. Read the next one.
- 23:22Read the next one, the gyro one. How do you say gyro gyro, gyro?
- 23:33Gyro. You do not say.
- 23:35Gyro. I don't.
- 23:35I don't even say that word. I think it's supposed to be
- 23:37euro. Yeah, I don't think it's gyro.
- 23:41It's definitely not gyro. I don't think it's gyro either.
- 23:44It's probably not. I'm pretty.
- 23:46I think it's a euro, isn't it Greek?
- 23:48Yeah, it's Greek for sure. Greek who's on the final bout?
- 23:53Roll call. Yeah, we just mentioned that.
- 23:54So we're not going to be honest with you guys.
- 23:58We're not doing shit. So we're not going to the
- 24:01legends of Drift. We dropped the ball on that one,
- 24:03I would say. So it's kind of is what it is.
- 24:07Probably going to be the biggest event of the year, at least at
- 24:10Raceway Park. So yeah.
- 24:12Yeah. Drop the ball heavy on that one.
- 24:14Yeah. Over the LCD World War guarantee
- 24:17it. They don't.
- 24:20I mean, they might. They might advert.
- 24:23Do you remember advertisements for the Adam LZ event?
- 24:26Like paid advertisements? Yeah, OK.
- 24:29Yeah, they were. All right, so they advertised
- 24:31both. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:33Well, The thing is Adam LZ is involved in this so.
- 24:40A lot of people are. Yeah, but so you have Adam.
- 24:43Yeah, you have Adam LZ, and now you have a main actor from Tokyo
- 24:46Drift. It's going to be bigger than
- 24:48though. Yeah, it's going to be huge.
- 24:49Yeah, it's it. There's no way around it.
- 24:51And they're both doing promotions on it.
- 24:54There's people that came in the shop.
- 24:57What's the customer with the short car that we Rav 4, Rav 4?
- 25:05He said yeah, I think I'm going to that event next weekend.
- 25:07Something with like he would not go to any of these events, but
- 25:11he's going because. That guy's just because of the
- 25:12and. They're filming a movie.
- 25:14That's why Han, once I heard him say that to me, I was like,
- 25:19yeah, we fucked up real big, yeah.
- 25:20Yeah. Because if he's going to that
- 25:22event, there's going to be so many people there that are first
- 25:25timers. So yeah, have fun everyone going
- 25:29to that event. I'm sure it's going to be a good
- 25:32time. It's going to, I think it's
- 25:34going to be exactly like a Adam LZ event that they've had down
- 25:37there. And the last one that was on the
- 25:39road course, we didn't really do so well as far as a merch booth.
- 25:45Because we only went one day, they said The next day was
- 25:48better, supposedly. And they put you in the middle
- 25:49of nowhere, like, you know, CC full of cars.
- 25:52Like there's not really a vendor area.
- 25:53Yeah, yeah. It's not like.
- 25:55Yeah, so that was another reason why I didn't really care that
- 25:59much, but. You know, I mean the the Legends
- 26:04of Drift might be the same way for vendors.
- 26:06Honestly, it's probably going to be set.
- 26:07Up. I think it's going to be the
- 26:08exact same way. That's why I didn't care that
- 26:10much. I was like, oh whatever.
- 26:12But then I start hearing people like mention it and I was like.
- 26:14But like, you're still going to make money no matter what.
- 26:15Yeah, we, we definitely fucked up.
- 26:17Like it, it's, it's going to be big.
- 26:22I saw fucking. I was looking at the poster.
- 26:23I was like, how did Grant make it onto this fucking poster?
- 26:27Unless you make it on every single poster.
- 26:28Grant is on every fucking poster.
- 26:30I love it. Like I don't think Jimmy is on
- 26:32the poster. No way.
- 26:34Like there's a bunch of people that are not, but do you see
- 26:37Grant? And I'm like, what the fuck?
- 26:38Grant is always on. I don't know.
- 26:41We need Grant in the pocket. He said he would do it last time
- 26:43he was here. He came here like a few months
- 26:45ago and. Yeah, I saw that.
- 26:46He was like, what the fuck is this shop?
- 26:49I'm like, yeah, I've been telling you to come by.
- 26:52He's like, dude, I didn't know it was like this big.
- 26:54So I think it would be a good podcast.
- 26:59And he said when he was here and we were looking at parts in the
- 27:03back, he mentioned he was like, yeah, I, I he's like, I remember
- 27:06watching you and Justin drifting at like club loose.
- 27:08That's what like inspired me to drift or something like
- 27:11something along those lines. Damn.
- 27:13I was like, shut the fuck. I was like, now you have to do
- 27:15the podcast. So, but I don't know, we'll see
- 27:17what. Happens.
- 27:18He lives in what, Connecticut? Yeah, probably not too far.
- 27:22Yeah, so that was cool. Grant's a Grant's a good guy.
- 27:28But yeah, as far as final bout, 2, not 2 is like 8 or some shit,
- 27:32but as fine as as far as final bout, yeah, we're not going.
- 27:37This sucks. Send us videos and photos and
- 27:39shit like that. Yeah, it's probably going to be
- 27:41a good time. Front Street is really trying
- 27:44to. I don't want to say this might
- 27:46be the last one for them, but like, I don't think they think
- 27:51it's the last one for them. But I'm just saying as someone
- 27:53who knows them very well. Yeah, Tom just had a kid.
- 27:58I think Josh is going to have a kid soon.
- 28:00I'm not saying like he does. There's no plans to.
- 28:02Yeah, yeah, but but I just feel it.
- 28:04Yeah. In the universe.
- 28:05Yeah, like, I, I think it's, I think it's coming.
- 28:08Jimmy has a kid. Like, I don't know, guys, they
- 28:12they're coming. They're out for blood this time
- 28:13around. So if if anyone's listening to
- 28:16this and they're driving that event, you better get ready for
- 28:17that shit because they're, they're coming out strong this
- 28:21year. They got all those fucking
- 28:23people talking on Instagram, right?
- 28:25Yeah, the cameos. What is this?
- 28:28Put a girl on. I don't.
- 28:30Understand you don't. Like that put a girl on.
- 28:33What is that? I don't get it.
- 28:34How was that funny, Josh? Sent me that and I was like what
- 28:37is that? How do you listen to that and
- 28:39say ha ha ha. Does anyone enjoy that put a
- 28:41girl on meme guy because I don't.
- 28:44Do not understand that shit. Yeah, me and Malcolm don't
- 28:47understand it. Just.
- 28:47Whack. But they got him to do that.
- 28:51Yeah, yeah, for a small fee. For a small fee of $1,000,000
- 28:56even. Oh.
- 28:57Yeah, I saw that question. Even Stevens or Drake and Josh.
- 29:00I'm going Drake and Josh. Even Stevens all the way.
- 29:02Because different generations is it.
- 29:06Yeah. I didn't watch.
- 29:07I didn't watch. Drake and Josh.
- 29:09Even Stevens, like it was on when I was a kid, but it was
- 29:12like I was like, didn't really have any interest in it.
- 29:15Yeah, who wait, who is on the final about roll call though it
- 29:18all the front St. auto real dream.
- 29:22Auto real dream Yeah, like who from around here is going the
- 29:26daring ones are going out to spectate Ron, Jon, Eric.
- 29:31We were going to basically go with them if we went.
- 29:33So that's going to be a fun time.
- 29:36Those guys are those guys are awesome.
- 29:37If you see them, make sure you let them know you saw them on
- 29:39the podcast. Fucking you all remember fucking
- 29:43Ron Ron's funny so. So.
- 29:45Is car shop Karoshi going? Yeah.
- 29:47Yeah, pretty sure. Yeah, Yeah, everyone's gone.
- 29:51The C's garage cars are shipped, getting shipped out there.
- 29:54That's crazy. Damn.
- 29:56Damn. Yeah.
- 29:58So we're still looking to go in November, but like I said, I
- 30:04still haven't talked to. We're almost at that point,
- 30:06though. We're about to paint this car.
- 30:07So once it's painted, then I'll reach out to Julian and be like,
- 30:09yo, can we come out? And if he says yes, then we'll
- 30:14really try to finish the course I.
- 30:16See. Because I don't want to like.
- 30:19I'm rooting for you, kid. You're not though.
- 30:21You're my #1 here. I don't bug you about it, I you
- 30:30just be capping sometime OK anyway.
- 30:35What's your go to Christ on? Yeah, gobble go, Media says go
- 30:39to go to cry in the car song. What's your go to like?
- 30:43If you're driving in the car. Yeah, what's your go to song to
- 30:45cry in the cartoon? This goes back to my original
- 30:51statement and begin the podcast. What the fuck?
- 30:53What? Why fucking why are you crying
- 30:55in the fucking car? The fuck are you doing crying?
- 30:58Public like cry on the railroad tracks.
- 31:01Like. I don't.
- 31:03I don't. Cry in my car, I don't go to
- 31:05cry. In my car, I don't cry.
- 31:06Period. What if you just happened to cry
- 31:08in the car and you're like, let me put a song on to make it
- 31:10worse for myself, I. Don't see, I don't do that ever.
- 31:12If if I'm upset, I'm going to do everything in my power to not be
- 31:16like, I'm not going to be like, oh, let me just.
- 31:18Suck in my emotions. Let me just suck in my fucking
- 31:20emotions, I. Hate that shit, I need to feel
- 31:22it. Like, I had to stop listening
- 31:24to, like, a whole genre of music once because of that.
- 31:26Like pop punk and all that. Like, sad Midwestern.
- 31:29Yeah. It would just depress me.
- 31:31I'm like, this shit is so sad. Like it's just pathetic.
- 31:34They're just like crying and I'm like, I was like, I'm good off
- 31:38this shit. Like give me some medal or
- 31:39something. I don't want to know what
- 31:41they're even saying. Like give me something or I
- 31:44can't hear it. Yeah, no, So I don't think I
- 31:46have one. And I listen to some fucking
- 31:50black ass gay music. So like and and I'm telling you
- 31:53I don't have one. I don't even think, I can't even
- 31:55think of a sad song like that. Like I listen to Taylor Swift
- 31:58straight up like and I I, I listen to.
- 32:01Loser. Yeah, and some people say that
- 32:03I. Should have asked.
- 32:04That music makes you sad. Well, girls say that and I'm
- 32:08like, doesn't make me sad, but it is sad.
- 32:11Fucking music. Yeah, you're literally listening
- 32:13to her journal entries. Yeah, like it sometimes.
- 32:15That's what it sounds. Like sometimes I hear the lyrics
- 32:17and I'm like, this is really sad actually.
- 32:19But then I'm like, it's not making me sad.
- 32:20So, but like, so if that's not working, then I don't know,
- 32:24like, OK, let's be. It would probably be some
- 32:27Midwestern fucking emo shit. I guess if I had to pick one
- 32:30like let's say, you can listen to some of that too.
- 32:34Yeah, I don't like know the names of anything though.
- 32:37Let's say there's some like sad ass bands.
- 32:43They always have the weirdest fucking name, Front Porch Step.
- 32:45Like that's a fucking band, dude.
- 32:47Front porch step. Front Porch step is a is a name
- 32:50of a band. And I'm pretty sure that's one
- 32:51that is like always. The guy's always sad as fuck.
- 32:54Let me see if I can find a sad song that I listen to on my
- 32:56Spotify while you do that. Yeah, this is literally a band.
- 32:59Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK.
- 33:01This is a pretty emo Midwest type fucking pop punk band and
- 33:08it's pretty sad music so I don't know, maybe that one.
- 33:12It's a really good question, I just never experienced this yet
- 33:15so I don't know. Cry Song.
- 33:24Here I got one right here. Maybe I'm just lying.
- 33:26Maybe there is one. I don't know.
- 33:29Don't You can't play it. We're going.
- 33:30To there's going to be a short. Guys playing music, Yes, that
- 33:40Michael Jackson song, Hold Me Like the River Jordan.
- 33:47That's the only words we know. But that song, good fucking
- 33:51song. I would cry to that watching
- 33:52Free Willy, right? Yeah.
- 33:54It'll definitely get you. Yeah.
- 33:56I honestly, I don't think I really listen to sad songs.
- 33:59Maybe that's the problem? Well, we've been trying to
- 34:01figure out if you have emotions for the last one.
- 34:03I, I I don't. Maybe that's why we're friends.
- 34:07Yeah, sure. All right.
- 34:11You don't have emotions, He. Said I love how he put in that
- 34:13if Frankie even cries, when's the.
- 34:16Last time you cried. When's the last time you?
- 34:18Cried. You know when I cried last.
- 34:21We won't talk about it. We we don't speak of that.
- 34:23The last time I cried was when my cat died.
- 34:26That was it. That was fair.
- 34:28It was in August. So you do cry.
- 34:30Yeah. August.
- 34:33So if a loved 1A year ago, if a loved one dies, you'll cry.
- 34:36There you go. If a If a loved one dies, we'll
- 34:38cry. Yeah, I think I'll, I would cry
- 34:41sometimes I think that to myself and be like, I'll think about
- 34:45one of my family members dying and I'm like, I hope I cry and I
- 34:47don't look psychotic. Not crying.
- 34:49I felt the same way before. OK.
- 34:51Yeah. All right.
- 34:54That's normal thought I guess. I think when one of my close
- 34:57friends dies it's going to hit me way worse than anything else
- 35:00in my life. Yeah, I think so too.
- 35:02Like, worse than my parents, worse than anything.
- 35:05I've always felt that way. I've always felt that way.
- 35:09Like I think that's going to be like life altering.
- 35:14Don't know why but that's yeah how I think because I've always
- 35:17viewed my friends as like. Your chosen that's.
- 35:21The top tier? Yeah, exactly.
- 35:22Yeah, so. Yeah, I think I'd feel the same
- 35:25way. There's a question on here, I'm
- 35:28not sure if I'm going to ask that.
- 35:31Which one is it? Is it the gallon one?
- 35:33Yeah. We could put it in different
- 35:38words. No, you can't.
- 35:40Yeah, you can. OK, go for it, Malcolm.
- 35:45Would you? No, I can't all.
- 35:50Right, you listen to the Patreon if you want that question.
- 35:54Hey, this is Drew Peacock. Is that really his last name?
- 35:59Drew Peacock? That's a crazy last name.
- 36:02Did he make the app? Hey, this is Drew Peacock.
- 36:06Just wanted to say hi to the faction pod.
- 36:08Keep it up, boys. Oh, it's a fake name, Drew
- 36:11Peacock. Ah, drew Pea.
- 36:13Oh, I said Peacock. Yes, but it's, I read drew
- 36:16Peacock, but it drew Peacock, drew Peacock.
- 36:19I got to read it fast. And then put eggplant at the end
- 36:22so that makes sense. Hey, it's a Drew Peacock.
- 36:24Just wanted to say that's a good one.
- 36:29Cock sucker. All right.
- 36:30Next. 1. Frankie Dick.
- 36:32Yeah, Fucking Dick head. Frankie, what's the biggest
- 36:34hurdle you've faced on the 240 yet?
- 36:38Time, question mark, mechanical question mark.
- 36:41It's just me. I'm the biggest.
- 36:43Yeah, I'm the biggest hurdle because I just never want to
- 36:47work on it. It's not, there's literally
- 36:49nothing. There is nothing not to blow our
- 36:52our ego up. There's nothing on a 240 that we
- 36:54really can't do here. Like we we know that car inside
- 36:57and out. So the hardest thing is that
- 37:01motivation, the mental strength to just get up and do it.
- 37:04Yes, but also I'll add another one, whatever the fuck we've
- 37:07been doing for the last two years because this shit sucks.
- 37:09Or sanding. I guess the last year rust,
- 37:13yeah, treatment, whatever, yeah, rust repair, all this shit like
- 37:16just. And I guess a hurdle would be
- 37:19like trying not to overdo it, even though it's hard for me to
- 37:23say that because I know we've obviously gone way further than
- 37:26we should have this entire time. But it's like, I mean, Frankie
- 37:29was in there welding shit the other night when we were working
- 37:31in there and I'm in the back sanding it and he's up front
- 37:35working on the same patch that he's been working on for like
- 37:41probably 8 to 10 hours straight. That is insane.
- 37:44And I'm like, yo, he, he like looked at me.
- 37:46He's like, he's like, motherfucker.
- 37:48He's like, I just can't get this thing.
- 37:49I was like, yo, Frankie, you know, that's on the inside of
- 37:54the car on the firewall. I'm putting carpet in here and I
- 37:59might even be putting sound deadening on the firewall.
- 38:02I'm like, you need to stop. Like I, I appreciate that he's
- 38:07trying to do the best work he can, but like.
- 38:10Yeah, because he's doing up to his standard, his standards as
- 38:13well. Yeah, but like this entire.
- 38:16OK, so it's inside the firewall, it's on the passenger side.
- 38:20It was a rust patch that was cut out, but there's layers.
- 38:24So I don't, Malcolm knows a decent amount of cars, But so
- 38:28you have the firewall panel, but then you have other panels that
- 38:31are like tack welded or spot welded onto those panels.
- 38:35So now you have layers of metal, right?
- 38:39But you don't know what's in between those layers.
- 38:42And sometimes there's like a sort of epoxy that they put in
- 38:46between and like press on and then they'll spot Weld.
- 38:49So like he's trying to Weld and there's all contamination on the
- 38:52back. Not to mention there's rust
- 38:53behind there, so it's just blowing holes through.
- 38:58But like there was this one section where Ethan cut a square
- 39:03out of the firewall so that he could get to behind that, which
- 39:06would be the opposite side of the firewall, kind of where the
- 39:09apron comes from the strut towers.
- 39:12So he cut that hole out just to be able to get in there and Weld
- 39:14it. So he felt he, he welded that
- 39:16and fixed it and then he left that piece of metal to the side.
- 39:19And I'm like, as we're working on the car, I'm like, I see
- 39:22these panels, I'm like, well this one goes here.
- 39:24But like, I don't know if you want to try to put that back.
- 39:26I mean, Ethan said he doesn't want to try to put that back
- 39:28because it's going to be more of a problem.
- 39:30Of course Frankie, you know, he's like, he's like, obviously
- 39:34Frankie wants this pan so I'm just going to go for it.
- 39:37So he starts fucking trying to put that in, trying to fill the
- 39:40whole thing. It's just blowing holes through
- 39:42dude. Like 8 hours later he's like
- 39:43finally, like I think we're going to have to just cut the
- 39:47corner here. And I'm like, you should have
- 39:48cut the corner five hours ago. Oh my God, it's all that time
- 39:51for nothing. Yeah, but.
- 39:53At least he tried. I don't mind it.
- 39:55Like I'm paying him. So if I don't care, then
- 39:58whatever. Like I'll let him try whatever
- 40:01he wants to do. It doesn't help that I'm a
- 40:03perfectionist. So but yeah, it's that's at the
- 40:05point now where it's like he's trying to build up metal and
- 40:09it's just not working. So, but yeah, that that would be
- 40:12a hurdle. Like where do I stop?
- 40:15And then you got the other thing where it's like the car was on
- 40:17the rotisserie. And I remember Jimmy, Jimmy Oaks
- 40:21and Dave Bob were the only two people that we had this
- 40:25conversation with when they were here.
- 40:27And they both were like, well, why don't you just take part the
- 40:29rest of the car and finish it? And I was like, no, like, it's
- 40:35already been this long. Do you understand what's going
- 40:36to happen if we do that? And they're like, yeah, but
- 40:39you're already here. And I'm like, it's going to add
- 40:41no years. Yeah.
- 40:43I'm like, no dude, like I don't want to do it.
- 40:46And they didn't really understand because they were
- 40:48just like, I don't know, like they wanted me to take the over
- 40:53fenders off, seal up the quarter panels cleaner because that's
- 40:56what we want to do in the future.
- 40:57And they wanted me to undercoat Raptor line the rest of the car
- 41:02underneath. And I'm like, dude, how many?
- 41:05Like we're going to run into so many more problems if you do
- 41:08that, like there's going to be so many.
- 41:09You're going to grind undercoat away and you're just going to
- 41:12see a rust hole and you're going to be OK.
- 41:13Now I got to fucking. So the the plan is to leave that
- 41:17whole section for like next winter or something like down
- 41:22the line. Like if I really wanted
- 41:23basically leave it to before I think I'm going to paint the
- 41:26outside of the car again and that's it because the car works
- 41:30as is, so whatever. But yeah, so that's biggest
- 41:34hurdle, just like knowing where to draw the line because this
- 41:37isn't technically a restoration. At least you're doing the whole
- 41:40inside. Yeah, I'm like trying to do it
- 41:42and like I like to. The way I work on cars is I like
- 41:46to complete a whole section, you know, like that's how we got
- 41:51into this whole problem, because the motor blew up.
- 41:54I could have just fixed the motor and put it back in, but I
- 41:56was like, no, I don't want to take everything out and then put
- 41:59it back in and then not be happy that my engine Bay is not
- 42:02painted and this and that. And I never fixed this cooler.
- 42:04I never, I didn't do all this, you know what I mean?
- 42:07And then before you know it, you're pulling the motor back
- 42:08out again. You're stripping the whole
- 42:09engine Bay. So like, yeah, that, that was
- 42:14why this happened. It was like, let me pull this
- 42:15out. And not to mention there's a
- 42:16whole lot of other factors. There's life factors involved
- 42:19that made me not want to work on the car.
- 42:22There's business factors involved that made me not want
- 42:25to work on the car. I don't know if I would call
- 42:29burnout. It's not really burnout, but
- 42:31it's just lack of interest and drifting that happened.
- 42:36Yeah, you had a more more interest in the business rather
- 42:38than. Yeah, I just, I was like, I
- 42:39don't really give a shit. Like there's a lot of factors at
- 42:42least like 3 different major factors that came into it, so I
- 42:45don't know. So it just snowballed and I
- 42:46didn't mind. I was like, OK, well we're going
- 42:48to finish it when we finish it and it's going to be nice.
- 42:50But like the glass coming out and shit, like when that
- 42:52happened, it was like, OK, now we're but that all snowballs
- 42:54because you're working on the engine Bay and then you're going
- 42:56up to the wiper deck and then you're like, oh, there's rust
- 43:00under the glass. We could just take the
- 43:03windshield. Out.
- 43:04We just act like we didn't see it or take the whole windshield.
- 43:06Do we just act like we didn't see it and then paint literally
- 43:08right around it and then there's going to be rust coming out in
- 43:11two years? Or do we just take the
- 43:13windshield out right now, isolate the rust areas, like
- 43:18fucking grind all of it away. What do they call it when you
- 43:21use the fucking rust encapsulator, all that shit.
- 43:26And then what? Do you epoxy prime the whole
- 43:30windshield mounting area and the engine Bay?
- 43:35So that's what we ended up doing.
- 43:36So now we shouldn't run into any rust problems there for probably
- 43:40the rest of the car's life because we all know what's going
- 43:43to end up happening in this car. Probably totaled, yeah.
- 43:46Like I'm not going to get rid of it ever.
- 43:48So it's going to have to. It's going.
- 43:50To be totaled, yeah, it's. Going to have to get hurt pretty
- 43:52bad in order to have to get rid of it.
- 43:55But yeah, so that's just what happens with that shit.
- 43:58I kind of like, I don't know, like I'm excited to get it done,
- 44:01but I'm also like, I kind of feel bad for everyone because
- 44:02it's like, it's not going to be that crazy.
- 44:04I'm not painting the outside outside of the car.
- 44:05It's going to look exactly like how it looked before.
- 44:07Nobody cares about that. It seems like they just want to
- 44:11see this the same car back on the road.
- 44:13OK, Yeah. I mean, I'm excited for the
- 44:16engine. Nobody's looking for like AV 2
- 44:19version. Yeah, there's no V2.
- 44:20I like my car the way it was, so we're just going to leave it the
- 44:23way it was. It's.
- 44:24Just a revival. Yeah.
- 44:25I mean, the differences are though, there's no interior in
- 44:28the back now, which is way different for me.
- 44:29I've never had that. I've always had a full interior
- 44:31in that car. So that's going to be different.
- 44:34No, you're doing no interior. Yeah, I'm doing dashboard,
- 44:38carpet, door cards, seats, basically everything from your
- 44:41back forward is in and everything from the back is
- 44:45going to be stripped because that's how all the all the cars
- 44:47that I liked or idolized were like that.
- 44:51But I just never want to do it because I was like, I want my
- 44:53interior, I want to be comfortable.
- 44:54I want I want it to be quiet. But I think after we did a JS
- 45:00car, I was like, this shit looks sick inside.
- 45:03Like just all painted in the back.
- 45:05And I don't know. We're going to do some other
- 45:07things too, like I'm going to paint the the speaker mounting
- 45:11things you don't really know, but they go like right behind
- 45:13the strut towers. Like inside the quarter glass is
- 45:17where you mount the speakers. So we're going to like paint
- 45:20those brackets the same color, mount speakers in there.
- 45:25I'm still trying to figure out where I could put a sub maybe in
- 45:27the back somewhere where it doesn't look like shit.
- 45:30And then I'm think I'm going to mount two more speakers.
- 45:33There's holes behind the seats, the driver seats where you have
- 45:37access to the seatbelts and stuff.
- 45:40I'm going to get like a panel and put speakers in there too.
- 45:43So it's the sound. The sound should be pretty
- 45:45decent inside. It's just going to suck because
- 45:46it's stripped. So it's it's not going to sound
- 45:48that great no matter what. But I don't know, it's going to
- 45:51be cool. So that's going to be
- 45:53interesting. Like putting the interior back.
- 45:55But like that's so nice. Like like having the car, having
- 46:00the paint work done it, dude, it's like a life altering
- 46:03experience. Because then it's like, OK, now
- 46:05I just have to put everything together, put everything back
- 46:07together. And and it's, I'm not saying
- 46:09it's easy, but it's like you're not doing something and
- 46:13thinking, I got to take this back apart because it's still
- 46:16not painted. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:17Like now you're putting it in and that's it.
- 46:19Like you're. Yeah, it's it.
- 46:20It's going to stay there and that's it.
- 46:22And then you go into the next thing and you see everything.
- 46:24And it's coming together. And you're like, oh shit, this
- 46:27shit looks like a car again, like.
- 46:28The day it has a dashboard in there and the carpet is going to
- 46:31be great. So and the engine, the engine
- 46:35Bay is going to be more work obviously, because we do have
- 46:38some things left to do, like the exhaust system is pretty good,
- 46:42but we need to make a bracket system for the wastegate mount.
- 46:45So I know that still has to get done.
- 46:47There's like little things, power steering, cooler oil
- 46:50coolers I wanted to do and we were trying to mock that shit up
- 46:54before we painted stuff, but we decided that we're not doing
- 46:57that. We're doing that all after it's
- 46:58painted. So that kind of fucks with my
- 47:00head a little bit because I'm like, oh, what if I have to
- 47:02drill into the the panels or, but I was like, we could just
- 47:05put rib nuts and make brackets if we have to.
- 47:10So yeah, it's going to be interesting.
- 47:11I'm I'm excited, but it's just the paint dude.
- 47:15Once, once that's over, Oh my God, it'd be so much better.
- 47:19It's like so stressful because you're just like, you go out
- 47:21there and it looks like shit, but I have it broken down pretty
- 47:24good. Like I the rear half of the
- 47:26interior is already sanded like last night or whenever we were
- 47:29here. It was last night, right?
- 47:30We were doing the roof, the fucking ceiling.
- 47:35Like that's fucking annoying as fuck because you're just getting
- 47:37And then every time you do this every night, like I shower in
- 47:40the mornings every every night I do this, I have to shower at
- 47:43night and then in the morning again, if I, you know, give a
- 47:46shit, But it's just and then, but by that time it's a fucking
- 47:4912 at night. Like today.
- 47:50Like I went to sleep at 12 after 12 last night, which I try not
- 47:57to do. And then you just feel like shit
- 48:00and you're like, all right, well, this is just what you have
- 48:02to do. Like it's part of it.
- 48:03Yep, just sacrifice your sleep. Yeah, so I don't know.
- 48:08It's coming together. Yeah, I like talking about my
- 48:10car now, so it must be something must be going.
- 48:12You see in progress, yeah. Did you see that one?
- 48:20Why does Carl follow an Instagram page called Snow Bunny
- 48:22TV? Well, let's look it up.
- 48:24Let's make sure that's not a lie.
- 48:25First, let's see snow Bunny TV. Why is Carl following this snow
- 48:30Bunny? Oh, you got another one?
- 48:32What happened to the hot lab? Fuck him.
- 48:35Shit Snow but followed by Carl. Damn.
- 48:40All right. OK, Carl.
- 48:42You can't hide from no one. All right, Carl.
- 48:47Better not look at my shit because I followed some weird
- 48:49ass shit. Oh, we don't want all that.
- 48:51Why does he follow this page? It is a terrible page.
- 48:54Really, it doesn't. Maybe they maybe it was someone
- 48:56else and then they just changed it to that.
- 48:58That happens all the time. I'll be on Instagram and I'll
- 49:00just like, what the fuck is this?
- 49:02I didn't follow this. This barely any snow Bunny shit.
- 49:10Why Jamie Lee Curtis got some big ass milkers.
- 49:13You saw that shit? Someone sent me that Josh.
- 49:15Josh sent me that. He's like, I know why Frankie
- 49:17likes Halloween now. He's like, what in the hell?
- 49:22What the hell? What the Jamie Lee?
- 49:27Right, back to the questions. Frankie's been such a big help
- 49:29with the fucking car. Oh my God.
- 49:31Yeah. Do you think he's having fun
- 49:32with it? I think he's the saviour of that
- 49:34car, for one. Yeah, because.
- 49:39Me trying to get a ton me. Trying to get Ethan here to do
- 49:41that while he's like building a house and it would have never
- 49:43happened. Even when Ethan wasn't building
- 49:45a house, he'd be here for like an hour, be like, all right, I'm
- 49:47done. Yeah, he, he's like, he's not
- 49:50into it that much. Like Frankie's into fabrication
- 49:52work. Yeah, Ethan likes it.
- 49:55But he's not could do it. Yeah, but it's not like he does
- 49:58enjoy it. I know he does.
- 49:59But getting him to get to that position is hard.
- 50:03And you know, it's as far from his house and all that.
- 50:05Frankie lives one town over so but yeah, yeah, he definitely is
- 50:11like the fucking savior of that project right now.
- 50:13And not to mention, like I, I want to get depending on what
- 50:16this other customer says with the blue car, if he agrees to
- 50:19whatever I propose with the rotisserie, that's even more
- 50:22motivation for me to get this car off because.
- 50:25Wait, you're going to let the car leave and then do a
- 50:28rotisserie? Or yeah, yeah, that's what I
- 50:30that's what I proposed to him. He didn't get back to me yet,
- 50:32but I know he wants to. We got a customer in here that
- 50:35wants to really like to refresh this car.
- 50:37You guys probably seen it on YouTube videos.
- 50:39There's a a blue hatch in here. He just wants like a refresh to
- 50:44he wants like a brand new 240. That's what he wants.
- 50:46He's always wanted that. He had he had one before we did
- 50:49a lot of work on it and then he found another one that was like
- 50:51stock. So he got that and he wants to
- 50:53just swap everything over. So we're doing that right now.
- 50:54We're powder coating a lot of stuff, but he wants to drive the
- 50:58car for like the rest of the summer and whatever.
- 51:03So it's the next year project or winter project or something?
- 51:06Yeah, so he saw the rotisserie. He saw my car.
- 51:08He's like, yeah. I mean, you know, I was like,
- 51:10look, if you got an open checkbook, then we're good.
- 51:14Yeah. If you don't, then don't even
- 51:16think about doing this because I can tell you right now, we were
- 51:19talking about this the other day.
- 51:20Frankie has 60 hours into my car right now.
- 51:23Just him, not me. Like not Ethan either so.
- 51:29That's a lot. That's a lot of time and Frankie
- 51:32works. He doesn't bullshit.
- 51:33Yeah, yeah, he's. Yeah, so all that labor time is
- 51:37actual work. His headphones in, just fucking
- 51:39cranking. Yeah, so that's 60 hours into a
- 51:42car that's going to be crashed into other cars for fun.
- 51:46Like if you wanted to do this on a real, a real restoration,
- 51:50dude, the hour, the hours are so insane.
- 51:55They rack up real quick. Yeah.
- 51:58So I don't know. And he's got a lot of rust on
- 52:00that car. So like whether we, I don't want
- 52:03to do the inside honestly, like I just leave the inside of the
- 52:06way it is, put it on the rotisserie, flip it, take the
- 52:09engine out because we got to get in there and then the subframes
- 52:13will all be off. Flip it and just look for all
- 52:16the rust order whatever we have to order for panels and then
- 52:21just, you know, start fixing the rust.
- 52:24Undercoat it or Raptor line it, whatever he wants to do.
- 52:28Not under we don't under code here, but I would paint it
- 52:31probably and not Raptor line it if you wanted to do that.
- 52:37And then just throw everything back on because we already
- 52:39powder coated all the subframes and everything.
- 52:41You know, I mean, like it won't be that crazy.
- 52:43Like he's getting a lot of the work done now, a lot of the bulk
- 52:46of the work that the only other thing would be like powder coat
- 52:49the calipers, disassemble the different, the differential coat
- 52:53that whatever we want to do, rebuild it.
- 52:58E brake cables wouldn't need to be replaced, but yeah, brake
- 53:02calipers, brake lines and then the front subframe and that's
- 53:06pretty much it. We already powder coated the
- 53:08knuckles, the control arms, he's got SPL everything in that car.
- 53:13The front lower control arms are done, new bushings.
- 53:16So yeah, it wouldn't be that crazy.
- 53:17It would just be a lot of Labor for the rust repair, so.
- 53:21But yeah, it'd be cool to do that.
- 53:22I don't know actually use a rotisserie for something other
- 53:24than other than my for actual customer.
- 53:26Yeah. So that'd be cool, yeah.
- 53:33Anything else going on in the shop lately?
- 53:38No, I don't. Know well today we had a car in
- 53:44a car was brought here that's going to be in a movie soon so
- 53:46that was cool. Oh yeah, going to be in an indie
- 53:48film. Yeah, an indie film that's being
- 53:52shot next month, I guess. Yeah, but the main actress,
- 53:58actor, actress. No, no, no.
- 54:01Is like pretty well known, we were told.
- 54:04But yeah, yeah, that's all the details we got.
- 54:07Yeah, I don't know how much we can really say about that
- 54:09without me getting into some kind of crazy.
- 54:11Basically the guy told me some details in order to get me
- 54:14excited because the the car came here and he was like the phone
- 54:17call started with all four brake calipers of the Z31 are are
- 54:22fucking. Leaking, leaking.
- 54:24That's what they said. Yeah.
- 54:25And we were like, OK, he's like, we can't get calipers.
- 54:28Malcolm was like, oh, maybe we can upgrade to Z32 front
- 54:31calipers this and that, which is possible.
- 54:34But the rears, the rears might be possible too.
- 54:37But it's going to be a decent, not a decent amount, but a
- 54:40little bit of custom work that I don't think we're going to be
- 54:42able to do in the time frame that he needs it done.
- 54:45So I was like, I, I wasn't excited.
- 54:50And right off the bat he's like, so you can guarantee this is
- 54:52going to be done in two weeks. And I was like, dude, I'm not
- 54:54guaranteeing anything. Like you just said you brought
- 54:56it to four different mechanics. They said the calipers are
- 54:59leaking and they can't get parts.
- 55:01I'm not guaranteeing anything like, but I'm not going to say
- 55:04anything until you bring the car here.
- 55:06So then he brought the car here and Chris already took it apart
- 55:09and looked at it and it looks like no calipers are leaking.
- 55:12All the calipers are working just fine.
- 55:14Yeah. So it needs a brake job and some
- 55:16tires maybe. And that's it.
- 55:18So I don't know who lied to him or what, but the guy seems
- 55:21pretty honest and cool. Yeah.
- 55:24So it's it's a weird situation, but it might be cool.
- 55:27We might we might fix a car that's like, and this movie is
- 55:30about the car. Really.
- 55:32The car is like the third actor. He said.
- 55:33Like, Oh, really? Yeah.
- 55:34Like it's a it's a big part of the movie.
- 55:37Has a big presence, yeah, so that's cool.
- 55:40You seen the movie Cars? No.
- 55:41OK. You know, Lightning McQueen.
- 55:43Yeah, yeah. So that's kind of cool.
- 55:47That's pretty much it. We've been busy this month,
- 55:49which is kind of normal. August is busy for some reason.
- 55:52And a lot of cars going in and out.
- 55:55Yeah, a lot of zinc plating on that car getting done.
- 55:59Louis is learning how to do it. Louis is actually here right now
- 56:01somewhere. I forgot.
- 56:02Yeah, me too. So Louis is actually here
- 56:04somewhere. So he's doing that stuff.
- 56:08Yeah. Just moving along.
- 56:09Just hoping the work doesn't stop because that would suck.
- 56:13Yeah, summer's almost over, but we seem like we're doing all
- 56:17right so far. Might have Ken come and help out
- 56:19with us in the shop or doing parts and stuff.
- 56:22Yeah. Ken Fuji, he's been on here
- 56:24before. Logistics work.
- 56:27Yeah, So that'll be helpful. You still like your job,
- 56:30Malcolm? I still show up every day, so
- 56:34yeah, I guess so. It took you a little while.
- 56:36I don't know. I'm getting kind of scary.
- 56:38I show up every day. Yeah.
- 56:41Is that how I'll know like when you start calling out?
- 56:46Not really, no. I'll still come.
- 56:49I feel like you wouldn't call out.
- 56:50No, I'm not much of A call outer.
- 56:53I feel like Princess would be the one to break the news to me.
- 56:57Yeah, like my mom called. Yeah.
- 56:59Hey, he's not coming in today. I don't.
- 57:00Think Malcolm would be able to tell me that he's leaving me?
- 57:04See. He quits, Yeah.
- 57:06Like, OK, we gotta, we have to have a big conversation.
- 57:08Oh. Fuck, he can't talk to you face
- 57:10to face. He's then I'd be begging Ken,
- 57:12like Ken, please don't find a real job.
- 57:13Just keep working here. Like, yeah, shit would be bad.
- 57:17I do have nightmares about that. That's crazy.
- 57:20Sometimes I have nightmares that apart never shows up.
- 57:23Oh fuck. Or I'll have like a good dream
- 57:25where the part finally comes in. Oh, so you used to make fun of
- 57:29me all the time. You're like, dude, you really
- 57:30dream about this shit? Yeah, it's not fun, dude.
- 57:32Yeah, now you're dreaming. About fun.
- 57:35It's not fucking fun. That means that means shit's
- 57:38shit's happening to you too now. Yep, it's not good.
- 57:42I called the ugly. Or it means you give a shit
- 57:45about your job, which is nice. But you know, maybe I don't
- 57:49know, it's just like I. Don't know.
- 57:52We had a It's just we had a good conversation today about work, a
- 57:57random conversation with any Zeus.
- 58:00Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. You know about shit that happens
- 58:04and. Sometimes you got to.
- 58:05Power through, yeah, shit that happens in this industry, I
- 58:09guess, or like. You got to know when shit
- 58:11pertains to you and know when it doesn't.
- 58:12Know when it's not that big of a deal?
- 58:15Yeah, but at the end of the day, it's all about taking care of
- 58:18the customers and making sure everyone's on the same page.
- 58:21Honesty is key. If you're not honest, if you're
- 58:24trying to hide something, it's going to come back to bite you
- 58:26in the ass. And I'm actually someone that
- 58:28doesn't believe in karma, but I know that if you fucking lie to
- 58:33someone and then they catch you in a lie, it's going to come
- 58:37back to you. That's just how it works.
- 58:39Like, like, I don't believe in karma in the aspect of like.
- 58:44Like if I give a homeless guy 5 bucks today then I'll have a
- 58:47great day tomorrow type, yeah. That's, that's a good example.
- 58:50Like if I do something nice for you, then the universe is just
- 58:53going to bless me with something.
- 58:54I don't really believe in that. Yeah, but I believe in not
- 58:58fucking people over. Like don't do that because it's,
- 59:02it's just, you're just asking for trouble, man.
- 59:04And, and so many businesses do that.
- 59:07It's like some businesses, some of the businesses we fucking
- 59:10work with, like, not local businesses like like parts.
- 59:14$1,000,000 businesses. Yeah, like I, I, I feel like
- 59:17they're just built online. Yeah.
- 59:19Like literally we had so many, a lot of our customers on the
- 59:23retail side, they come to us because we tell them what's
- 59:25going on. Like, and I'm sure we dropped
- 59:27the ball before. Like I know we dropped the ball
- 59:29before. Like we didn't update someone or
- 59:31we forgot that. Yeah.
- 59:33That this we forgot that we didn't update this guy about but
- 59:36what we. Definitely don't do is spread
- 59:38misinformation and. What we definitely don't do is
- 59:40get an order in for a part that we know is back ordered and then
- 59:45not talk to them like ever. And then they'll reach out.
- 59:49And this has been a thing that's happened with other companies
- 59:53and the customers will tell us they'll be like, yeah, I mean, I
- 59:55just ordered this with so and so and and I reached out like a
- 1:00:00month later, like, hey, where is this?
- 1:00:01And they decided to tell me that it's back order or is
- 1:00:03discontinued. It's like bro what like I mean.
- 1:00:09I mean, I guess it's just part of business.
- 1:00:10Like they probably have a million orders.
- 1:00:13You know, we don't have a million orders.
- 1:00:14So right now it's like we're, we're capable of keeping track
- 1:00:18of everything. But like when, when businesses
- 1:00:22scale, sometimes, sometimes business owners just get a
- 1:00:25little bit greedy, like, oh, we're scaling, but I'm not going
- 1:00:28to hire someone else. Yeah.
- 1:00:30And also when you start to get real big, it's hard to handle
- 1:00:36quality control because the the relationship between you and
- 1:00:41your employees kind of just like barely there.
- 1:00:44Yeah, when you have more employees, yeah, and there's
- 1:00:46more people and. Then you're employed are just
- 1:00:47like I don't give a fuck, like I don't know the I don't know the
- 1:00:49guy who owns this building at this business.
- 1:00:51So it's like I don't give a fuck.
- 1:00:54I'm getting paid fucking not great.
- 1:00:56So if I get fired, whatever. That's when you need to start.
- 1:00:59If you're at a point where that is a business that you're
- 1:01:01already pretty fucking beat, yeah, but.
- 1:01:05Well, that's why those multi $1,000,000 businesses pay those
- 1:01:08people so little, because it's like they're easily replaceable
- 1:01:13and they know they're going to cycle through employees.
- 1:01:15I could never imagine owning a business like this and doing
- 1:01:18that because like, your whole reputation is basically
- 1:01:21everything. Your reputation is basically
- 1:01:23everything in this industry because like, it only takes a
- 1:01:27couple people to fuck your life up if they really wanted to, and
- 1:01:31that's why you don't fuck people over.
- 1:01:33Because if I fuck with the one wrong person, everything would
- 1:01:35be done. Yeah, if I fucked like 4 people
- 1:01:37over in a month, all four of those people are going to make
- 1:01:39some Instagram posts this and that.
- 1:01:41Like you're just asking. For trouble, yeah.
- 1:01:44Like you can't do that kind of stuff.
- 1:01:46So I don't know. And then the, I mean one, one of
- 1:01:51I guess I shouldn't name drop, but fuck it, that company Fr
- 1:01:55sport. Like they, you know, I told you
- 1:01:57the whole story like they used to be a pretty big wholesaler
- 1:02:00for us. Like we would buy a lot of stuff
- 1:02:02from them. And then like all of a sudden
- 1:02:06shit just got bad. I'm pretty sure they owe me
- 1:02:09money, like thousands of dollars, but shit.
- 1:02:12And then my, the sales person that I had there, just just
- 1:02:17she's, she's like, Oh, I, I got fired or something.
- 1:02:19I'm like, how the fuck did they fire you?
- 1:02:22And then like it turned into like no one's there.
- 1:02:24But then you go on their website and they're selling parts.
- 1:02:26That's crazy. Did they sell the business and
- 1:02:28then? I don't know.
- 1:02:30That person just dropped the ball.
- 1:02:31On I think the last thing I heard was that, and this is all
- 1:02:33alleged stuff, the last thing I heard was that someone bought a
- 1:02:37bunch of like equipment thinking that they were going to work on
- 1:02:43cars and then they just didn't do that so they spent a lot of
- 1:02:46money in the wrong spot and then.
- 1:02:48Oh, they, I think they cover. Fired people that should have
- 1:02:51stayed because they were dealing with all the orders.
- 1:02:53At the end of the day, just go to their Instagram and go to the
- 1:02:55comments. That's all I'm going to say.
- 1:02:57Oh yeah, people are like, where's my shit?
- 1:02:59Yeah, Every comment is where's my shit?
- 1:03:00Where's this? Where's my money?
- 1:03:01Where's that? Like in everyone I talk to, it
- 1:03:04has the same questions. Like they're like, yeah, they
- 1:03:07owe me this, they owe me that. I'm like, I don't know, they're
- 1:03:09still open it looks like. Yeah, how are they not shut down
- 1:03:12by? We should just call them one
- 1:03:13day, be like yo are you guys? Is this real?
- 1:03:16Are these these Instagram comments like real?
- 1:03:19Yeah. So I don't know, but there's
- 1:03:21companies like that that I don't know.
- 1:03:23I guess something just happens and.
- 1:03:25You just got to be honest in life to succeed.
- 1:03:30Well, there's people who lie a lot and probably are just fine.
- 1:03:35But like, when I, when I stop and think about though, it
- 1:03:37doesn't take much to fucking completely turn this place
- 1:03:39upside down. Like, if you quit, yeah,
- 1:03:42tomorrow we'd be in trouble. Like, not only physical trouble,
- 1:03:48like, I don't know how I would handle your workload, but like,
- 1:03:53I'd be mentally distraught because I'd be like, you know, I
- 1:03:57mean, I don't have to say it, you know?
- 1:03:58Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:00What would happen? Like everyone here right now is
- 1:04:03integral to this company because there's only four or five.
- 1:04:07Like there's it's a small amount of people.
- 1:04:10So who knows, maybe something like that happened to them.
- 1:04:14You know what I mean? Like I don't.
- 1:04:14Know, Yeah, maybe one person just made the whole thing
- 1:04:17crumble. Exactly.
- 1:04:19You never know. And then you get so comfortable
- 1:04:21in your ways, which I feel already like I used to do
- 1:04:23everything here. Now you do like 70% of
- 1:04:26everything inside that office. You know what I mean?
- 1:04:28Well, maybe like 60, but you do more work than me, so now it's.
- 1:04:36So then you get used to that, right?
- 1:04:37So now you get used to and then you implement new things that
- 1:04:41only you know, and then, and then.
- 1:04:43That's where it like should have started making a handbook of
- 1:04:47everything I did from the start. So say we do hire somebody, be
- 1:04:52like, oh, here's a handbook. This is everything.
- 1:04:54Yeah, yes, yes and no. I mean, as long as as long as,
- 1:04:58even if you did leave, as long as it didn't end in fucking
- 1:05:00flames, which is, which is why you're not an asshole boss.
- 1:05:05Like that's why you try to not be a Dick.
- 1:05:08Then then you'd be able to teach every someone else, you know
- 1:05:11what I mean? So you know, it's just like, I
- 1:05:15don't know, there's benefits to having more employees, but
- 1:05:17there's, there's drawbacks. And then the only drawback I
- 1:05:20know is that it's going to be way more stressful.
- 1:05:23I think. I think stress in business is
- 1:05:28directly related to how many employees you have so far.
- 1:05:30That's my theory. The more people you're in
- 1:05:33control of is how much more stressed you're going to be
- 1:05:35because now there's another mouth you have to feed every
- 1:05:38month, like and if you don't, there's going to be a problem.
- 1:05:41So that means that that's another however many thousands
- 1:05:44of dollars you have to make every week or else you're going
- 1:05:47to be fucked. You know what I mean?
- 1:05:49So, but that's like that's something we always did here for
- 1:05:52like the last two or three years, ever since we had more
- 1:05:55employees, we were always like, we are going to run on a
- 1:05:58skeleton crew. Like we're going to do as much
- 1:06:00as we possibly can with the few amount of people.
- 1:06:03That way we don't need to add more.
- 1:06:06Stress to this and it helps here that we're you're 100%
- 1:06:13transparent about the whole business like finance wise
- 1:06:17everything. So it's like.
- 1:06:18Oh, so we see everything. Yeah, we see everything.
- 1:06:20We know it's nothing's a lie. We know.
- 1:06:22Like we literally have to work this hard in in order to do
- 1:06:25this. I feel like the easiest way
- 1:06:26would just be look in my truck. Yeah.
- 1:06:30I always go back to that. There's so many of those memes
- 1:06:33where it's like the boss pulling up one I.
- 1:06:36Don't think so, but I I could imagine.
- 1:06:38Just pulls up in a brand new truck.
- 1:06:39Hey good job today guys. Thanks for everything like
- 1:06:42buying me this new truck or some shit.
- 1:06:44I don't know. It was like some video and it
- 1:06:45was so perfect, but I was it made me feel like shit.
- 1:06:47I was like damn, can I never get a new truck?
- 1:06:50Like, is everyone going to feel like that?
- 1:06:52No, yeah, I don't think we wouldn't feel that way.
- 1:06:55Yeah. And plus, I don't think I can
- 1:06:57ever buy a new truck. Like I'll buy something that's
- 1:06:59like, used, but yeah. Yeah, I don't know, but yeah,
- 1:07:02that helps with this for us at least this for Faction
- 1:07:05Motorsports, we all literally know everything about the
- 1:07:08business and we literally have meetings about it and.
- 1:07:13You can. You can literally see how much
- 1:07:15money we don't make. Yeah.
- 1:07:17And then we take all that with a grain of salt and go out and do
- 1:07:21what we got to do to try to make more money.
- 1:07:23Yeah, that's just a small business and big.
- 1:07:29Problem. Small business, I guess it's
- 1:07:32like what people always say. It's like passion like it is.
- 1:07:35It is driven by passion, I guess, at the end of the day.
- 1:07:38It's just a hobby shop. It's just a small hobby shop.
- 1:07:41No, but like, like as much as as much shit as I talk on drifting,
- 1:07:45like I obviously still like drifting.
- 1:07:48I wouldn't, yeah, I wouldn't be excited to come here.
- 1:07:51You revolved your life around drifting.
- 1:07:53Yeah, and I like it's, it's fine.
- 1:07:57I don't hate drifting. It's just sometimes you got to
- 1:08:00take a little break once in a while.
- 1:08:01Yeah, that's fine. Shit is.
- 1:08:04I don't know, you know when you're playing a video game that
- 1:08:06you'd fucking love new video game, But there's one level you
- 1:08:11just like, I fucking can't beat this level.
- 1:08:14And you fucking keep trying and keep trying and keep trying and
- 1:08:16can't beat it. Put the controller down, forget
- 1:08:18about it for like a week. Go back and beat it first try.
- 1:08:21That's probably what's going to feel like.
- 1:08:22I don't understand that, but I can directly relate that to some
- 1:08:24with cars you're working on, you're working all day.
- 1:08:27You're you're still working on this one section and you can't
- 1:08:30fucking get it. And it's like it, it's at the
- 1:08:32point now where it's 7:00 PM and you're like, I'm going to start
- 1:08:34breaking shit if I can go and you go, OK, I have to just go
- 1:08:38home and come in tomorrow and you come in tomorrow and you do
- 1:08:42it within 4 minutes. Yeah, you're like, oh, OK.
- 1:08:43I would have just. All that is, is.
- 1:08:45Exhausted. Tired.
- 1:08:46It's it's yeah, it's exhaustion. Yeah, it's like brain exhaustion
- 1:08:51or whatever. Like you're just not thinking
- 1:08:53your. Mental power, which is depleted,
- 1:08:56yeah. So I I get that, but yeah, well,
- 1:09:00I mean, we didn't know what to expect with this podcast, but
- 1:09:03hey, I think this was a good business oriented 1 and shop
- 1:09:06update so the. Last for the latter half.
- 1:09:08Yeah, we talked way too much in the beginning and hopefully no
- 1:09:10one skipped through that, Yeah. But we're still going to the
- 1:09:12Renaissance Fair. I literally I want to go.
- 1:09:16Yeah, all right, fine. Nice, nice.
- 1:09:21Why do we have to dress up? You don't have to.
- 1:09:24I want to dress as a peasant. You can dress like that, you
- 1:09:27look fine right now. OK, thanks.
- 1:09:29Fuck. All right guys.
- 1:09:33Well, I hope you enjoyed this episode of just me and Malcolm
- 1:09:36bullshitting. Carl was very upset about not
- 1:09:39being able to do this. You can tell.
- 1:09:41With Carl at work. He he he doesn't want to miss
- 1:09:44these podcasts he because he knows that he is the reason that
- 1:09:48this started. So yeah, he's never missed one.
- 1:09:50Yeah, actually, you know, it's funny.
- 1:09:51He did Miss 1. He did.
- 1:09:53And I didn't even know that I didn't remember.
- 1:09:55How was it? It had to be fucking 1st 10
- 1:09:57episodes. I think so, yeah, because he, he
- 1:09:59mentioned it. He was like, I was just at work
- 1:10:01one night like and I, I couldn't go or some shit.
- 1:10:03Oh, no, I do remember that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:05It was me, Chris and you and Carl wasn't there.
- 1:10:09Really. What the fuck did we talk about?
- 1:10:10I mean, honestly. It was a that.
- 1:10:12Sounds like a good podcast episode.
- 1:10:14It was. It was in the old office with
- 1:10:16the old mics, like the very first mics that Carl bought.
- 1:10:20Yeah. And I don't know what it was
- 1:10:23about. I think it was, it was something
- 1:10:24about it was 240 related, something like that.
- 1:10:30You know how we were trying to have topics for the first few
- 1:10:32podcasts like yeah yeah, Budget or which wasn't a bad idea.
- 1:10:36Either but. Yeah, it was one of those
- 1:10:39podcasts. Honestly, that was that was when
- 1:10:42like I really was like trying to put ever into this.
- 1:10:45Yeah, yeah, make like structured episode.
- 1:10:48That should ended in like 10 episodes.
- 1:10:49Yeah, then we're like, we could have a guest on.
- 1:10:52Yeah, we literally just copied whatever Joe Rogan did and we
- 1:10:56were like, we're just going to go with that.
- 1:10:57Like if, if it if it works, it works.
- 1:10:59If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
- 1:11:02But we've been getting thousands of downloads a month.
- 1:11:04So I just want to say thank you to everyone, and more
- 1:11:07importantly, thank you to everyone who buys anything from
- 1:11:10our website, because that is probably the reason why this
- 1:11:14podcast continued and went to, I guess the level of it is now.
- 1:11:17I still feel like we didn't spend much money on this, but
- 1:11:21people act. Like we did, we put a lot of
- 1:11:23time in. We definitely put a lot of time
- 1:11:25in. This room.
- 1:11:25Was pretty hard to set up. We wired all the cameras up.
- 1:11:28We had to find all these cameras.
- 1:11:30Yeah. But we're happy that you guys
- 1:11:31find enjoyment in these. Yeah, for the past how many?
- 1:11:37Two years or more? Two years.
- 1:11:39I don't know, but it's been a long time.
- 1:11:43Maybe over 2 years. I will say one thing about Final
- 1:11:45Bout. I am I am bummed we're not doing
- 1:11:47podcasts. That's my favorite part about
- 1:11:48Final Bout now. Yeah, yeah, those podcasts
- 1:11:51always brought like a different. It's the those are the best
- 1:11:54podcasts. Yeah.
- 1:11:55Yeah. So that I'm very upset about
- 1:11:57that. We just couldn't.
- 1:11:58It didn't make sense. It did not make sense to go
- 1:12:01drive across the country for multiple nights because if we're
- 1:12:05doing podcasts, we need to leave before all you guys come out.
- 1:12:07Then we have to fly you guys out because the shop has to keep
- 1:12:10running and then it's just we spend a lot of money to go to
- 1:12:14final bout. So if we don't have a vending, A
- 1:12:17vendor booth and we don't make that money back then.
- 1:12:21Yeah, it's like it it. Yeah, it hits our pockets pretty
- 1:12:24hard. Yeah, it's a, it's, it would be
- 1:12:26pretty detrimental. We we thought we could pull it
- 1:12:30off, you know, just flying out there and what not.
- 1:12:34But Carl's got plans as well. So you know it, it is what it
- 1:12:38is. But hey, maybe we can make it up
- 1:12:40with the Super D event. I hope so.
- 1:12:44I really hope so. Like even if, even if Julian
- 1:12:45just lets us come out and you know, all I want to do is just
- 1:12:50drive a couple laps. I'd like.
- 1:12:51I'm not trying to join the comp. I'm not trying to, I'm not
- 1:12:53trying to do any of that. I just want to give me an excuse
- 1:12:56to go out. There.
- 1:12:57Literally, yeah. Just give me an excuse to
- 1:12:59fucking go out there. That's it.
- 1:13:01Yeah, I don't. I don't mind anything else.
- 1:13:04And, and if we did do that trip, we would be doing podcasts on
- 1:13:07the way. We'd go through Texas.
- 1:13:09So we'd hit, yeah, we'd hit all the Texas spots.
- 1:13:13We got a lot of homes out there. Davis's home?
- 1:13:15Yeah, home turf. Yeah, like it would be.
- 1:13:18It would be really good. So we're really shooting for
- 1:13:21that. I'm probably going to be here
- 1:13:25all weekend again working on the car that's.
- 1:13:27What you got to do dude, you got you got bad time perception.
- 1:13:32I do, I know. So November is way closer than
- 1:13:34you think. I do know I have bad time
- 1:13:36perception. You've made me aware of that.
- 1:13:41No, I, I I do know that. But yeah, it is what it is.
- 1:13:44Fuck, man. Hey.
- 1:13:50And and another another thing while I'm venting.
- 1:13:53Come on, I'm listening. We don't make any money off
- 1:13:57these podcasts. Oh yeah, we have sponsors.
- 1:14:00Some of them we trade things for one thing.
- 1:14:06Some of them pay us the money we get, basically pays Carl to come
- 1:14:12here. Yes.
- 1:14:13Because Carl did this for free. For two years.
- 1:14:16For yeah, a long time. And he would spend all of his
- 1:14:20money coming and I would buy him dinner.
- 1:14:23Like that was it. And I felt bad forever about it.
- 1:14:26And obviously we work on his car and all that shit, but like,
- 1:14:28yeah. And I would pay for drift
- 1:14:29events. So I I would try to make it.
- 1:14:31Accommodate. Accommodate.
- 1:14:32But eventually I was like, I want to be able to pay him
- 1:14:36because he's spending time here, Like, yeah.
- 1:14:38And it's his idea. Doing making money somewhere.
- 1:14:41Else exactly. So now, now we're able to do
- 1:14:43that with the sponsor income, but like other than that, like
- 1:14:47we make I think a couple 100 bucks on Spotify, which is
- 1:14:51amazing. Thank God, because we never
- 1:14:53expected to make money off of that.
- 1:14:55Never. So thank God for Spotify giving
- 1:14:57a podcast hosts a way to make money.
- 1:15:02Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that was, you're not
- 1:15:04doing that on Apple, like any of that shit.
- 1:15:06They're not doing that. So so yeah, thank God for that.
- 1:15:09But like, other than that, the Patreon is the only way we make
- 1:15:13any money. And we know that our Patreon
- 1:15:15subscribers are mostly from the podcast.
- 1:15:17So thank you for that. And we are trying to get more
- 1:15:21content out there for you. And it's just, you know, it's
- 1:15:24one of those things where it's like, like, what are we going to
- 1:15:27do this? And that we got to like
- 1:15:28basically we, we brainstorm every couple couple months and
- 1:15:31try to think of some ideas and then we'll go from there.
- 1:15:33But if there's anything you guys are looking for specifically,
- 1:15:37let us know. If you guys want to check out
- 1:15:39some of that content, make sure to head over the Patreon and see
- 1:15:41what's going on. I guess that's.
- 1:15:44It Yeah. How does Carl end these?
- 1:15:46Oh, he usually. What does he say?
- 1:15:50All right, Fuck. What does he?
- 1:15:51Say I don't think he says you. No, he's like that was thank you
- 1:15:54for. Oh, he's probably like, all
- 1:15:56right, guys. That was another episode of the
- 1:15:57After Hours podcast. Something like that, yeah.
- 1:15:59We'll check you on the next one. Definitely doesn't say that.
- 1:16:02OK, well that's how it's ending this time.
- 1:16:04Yeah, he says. Like, thank you so much for
- 1:16:07listening. You got anything else to say
- 1:16:09guys while we're here? All right, that guy's got head
- 1:16:14trauma. Oh yeah, Josh, fuck that.

- 1:16:19on the next one. See you all.
- 1:16:21Right guys, I hope you enjoyed that episode.

- 1:16:27often. Yeah.
- 1:16:29Oh yeah, Yeah. Well, we fucking try, Malcolm,
- 1:16:31but you never want to do it. I'm good off that shit.
- 1:16:34OK. Kudos to you and Carl.

- 1:16:41Let us know in the comments what you guys thought about Malcolm
- 1:16:43if you want to see him on every other episode from now on.
- 1:16:46And let us know if we should have a faction meet at the
- 1:16:50Renaissance Fair. OK, let's have a faction meet up
- 1:16:53at the Renaissance Fair. Yeah, I don't know about all
- 1:16:55that. Tuxedo, New York.
- 1:16:57Don't tell them where it is. Guys.
