  Speaker 2: But my memory of the Raleigh Regional, and I wonder

  Speaker 2: my first question is going to be what your memory.

  Speaker 2: Was that Yukon underdogs against the number one seed, was

  Speaker 2: within up two points with three minutes left. I thought

  Speaker 2: that was a major, major scare thrown into Florida, who

  Speaker 2: eventually went on to win the national championship. Did you

  Speaker 2: learn something about Yukon? Whoops? What you've developed here, the

  Speaker 2: culture of this team, the fact that you pushed them

  Speaker 3: I just what I remember is just being emotional after

  Speaker 3: the game, you know, just like the what was that is?

  Speaker 3: That this radio. I just remember the emotion and just

  Speaker 3: after the game, you know, not even the tunnel the situation,

  Speaker 3: but the emotion when the game was over for you know,

  Speaker 3: the run that we had been on. And then also

  Speaker 3: by the end of the year, how I felt about

  Speaker 3: the team, you know, the team, uh you ended up

  Speaker 3: giving us, you know, all they got. I think there

  Speaker 3: was probably you know, if Liam doesn't get hurt, and

  Speaker 3: bit differently. There were a couple more wins in that

  Speaker 3: team during the year. But the team fought hard and

  Speaker 3: shots and so but I just remember the emotion after

  Speaker 3: the game, you know, both the press conference, on the

  Speaker 3: plane back in the hotel, on the way back to Connecticut,

  Speaker 3: just all the emotion.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, twenty four wins from that team. You end up

  Speaker 2: being an eight seed I think it was, and you

  Speaker 2: talked about it afterwards. You said, we got to be

  Speaker 2: a higher seed. We don't want to play a number

  Speaker 2: one team. In the second round. Does that go back

  Speaker 2: to what happened during the season. Obviously, if you squeezed

  Speaker 2: a couple more wins out, maybe you're a five seed

  Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, just some of those games you lose

  Speaker 3: just then the night then the Maui situation, just losing

  Speaker 3: those games, and then two of those teams didn't make

  Speaker 3: the tournament, and then you lose the seat all game

  Speaker 3: on the road, you know, you get the Villanova I mean,

  Speaker 3: it was just there was probably three or four games

  Speaker 3: that you know, you win those games, you're a five

  Speaker 3: seed or maybe a six seed, and then you're you know,

  Speaker 3: you're you're you know, you're playing well. Then you're playing

  Speaker 3: a four and now you're in the sweet sixteen, and

  Speaker 3: now maybe you know so it's just but that's who

  Speaker 3: we were. We did it to ourselves, and that's why

  Speaker 3: every game is so important, you know in college basketball,

  Speaker 3: you know, every game is so critical with getting the
• 3:19
  Speaker 3: tournament and then playing for seeding.

  Speaker 2: And is that why when you looked at making a

  Speaker 2: schedule up this year, you went with six ranked teams

  Speaker 2: in the first twelve games. I mean, you've got some
• 3:28
  Speaker 2: tough ones for a group that's kind of coming together

  Speaker 2: the team in a lot of ways. Was that what
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: was part of your thinking, Let's play some tough teams,
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: Let's do the best we can, and maybe that'll help
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: us down the road.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't really. I mean, so you don't really
• 3:45
  Speaker 3: get nick that bad for losing to top level teams.

  Speaker 3: You get nick badly when you lose to you know,

  Speaker 3: teams that are not you know, Quad one games or
• 3:56
  Speaker 3: not you know, legitimate INCIP tournament teams. So you know,

  Speaker 3: you gain a lot by winning games versus high level
• 4:06
  Speaker 3: non conference and in conference opponents, like you know, you
• 4:09
  Speaker 3: jump seed lines. And then if you lose some games
• 4:13
  Speaker 3: to teams that are like high seeds in the instant
• 4:16
  Speaker 3: a tournament, like you don't get nicked for that. You know,
• 4:18
  Speaker 3: you look at the SEC last year. Those teams lost
• 4:21
  Speaker 3: a lot of games, but their seeds never dropped because
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: they were only losing to each other who were very
• 4:27
  Speaker 3: high level, highly rated teams. So yeah, I mean that's
• 4:31
  Speaker 3: how we're trying to do a non conference moving forward.

  Speaker 3: I mean, we would love a non conference schedule that
• 4:36
  Speaker 3: looked like Duke North Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA. I mean,

  Speaker 3: that would be the perfect non conference schedule if we
• 4:43
  Speaker 3: could play seven of those five low to mid majors
• 4:47
  Speaker 3: and then go play the twenty biggiest games.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, you got BYU, which is eighth in the country.

  Speaker 2: That's the TD Garden November fifteenth on a Saturday. You

  Speaker 2: got Arizona at Gamble. You got Illinois at the Garden.

  Speaker 2: They've got some great players. Trip to Kansas another one

  Speaker 2: when we were going to get them here by the way,

  Speaker 2: Well it's a home at home, okay, so they're coming.

  Speaker 2: So yeah, so they come back, follow and you're good.

  Speaker 2: You get Florida at the Garden and they're gonna have

  Speaker 2: a really good team again. And then Texas at the

  Speaker 2: People's Bank Arena. So you're looking at these teams figuring

  Speaker 2: their ranked and if you win four to the six
• 5:23
  Speaker 2: or maybe better, that's going to be a nice feather

  Speaker 2: in your cap.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, and you just you just play that next game

  Speaker 3: that's in that's in front of you. I think it.

  Speaker 3: They're all fun games. I mean, you know, going and

  Speaker 3: playing another game in Boston. We had fun there a

  Speaker 3: couple of years ago, playing in Boston. You know, that

  Speaker 3: was that was fun. That was a that was a

  Speaker 3: good experience, and yeah, I mean it's the way you

  Speaker 3: got to it's the way you gotta do. The schedule.

  Speaker 3: It was, you know again, like when you go playing

  Speaker 3: an MT you you can't control your opponents, and you

  Speaker 3: can't control your first round opponent, you know. So like again,

  Speaker 3: you know, looking at Maui and you know, obviously us

  Speaker 3: deciding not to play in multi team events moving forward

  Speaker 3: had less to do with how that tournament went more

  Speaker 3: to do with just being able to control the quality

  Speaker 3: of every opponent you play in the non conference.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be fun for Yukon fans, no question,
