- 0:00Speaker 1: You are listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hello Leapfrogs, Welcome back to Fandemonium, and oh what a
- 0:08Speaker 2: show we have for you today. This was our Pokemon
- 0:12Speaker 2: Live show from the start of March. Thank you so
- 0:16Speaker 2: much to everyone who made this episode happen. But a
- 0:19Speaker 2: special shout out to producer Jen for gifting us our
- 0:22Speaker 2: very first live version of merch Table. I know that's
- 0:26Speaker 2: been a favorite on the podcast feed for some years now,
- 0:30Speaker 2: but we got to play it live.
- 0:31Speaker 3: It was a riot. It was so much fun.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm not going to say too much up top this
- 0:36Speaker 2: time because I just really want to get on with
- 0:38Speaker 2: the show, but what I will say is that this
- 0:41Speaker 2: was a very visual show. It still works in audio form,
- 0:46Speaker 2: but we put a lot of extra effort into making
- 0:49Speaker 2: this a visual spectacular and we got the full video
- 0:53Speaker 2: recording as well. So if you have ever considered supporting
- 0:57Speaker 2: us for just three p fifty a month over at
- 0:59Speaker 2: pare On dot com, forward slash Gateleapers, there's.
- 1:03Speaker 3: A link in the description.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Every single cent goes into making this show happen. It
- 1:09Speaker 2: goes into paying performers, getting the videos out to everyone.
- 1:13Speaker 2: It's look, if you're not going to miss the price
- 1:16Speaker 2: of a cup of coffee a month and you love
- 1:18Speaker 2: this show. I cannot express enough how far that money
- 1:22Speaker 2: goes into helping make this show happen. So if you
- 1:25Speaker 2: want to be part of the group of wonderful people
- 1:27Speaker 2: who already contribute to making this show happen, Patreon, dot com, Forward,
- 1:32Speaker 2: slash gateleapers. The full Pokemon Live video is there, and
- 1:36Speaker 2: I would say around fifty video episodes are just ready
- 1:39Speaker 2: to watch from the moment you sign up, and you
- 1:42Speaker 2: get three video panel shows per month. That's so cool.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Independent media is possible. We're making it happen. And if
- 1:49Speaker 2: you want to keep listening for free, that's absolutely fine too.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Other people will support and they pay it forward for you.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So that's a cool thing to think about. If you
- 1:58Speaker 2: can spare three fifty a month, then you're paying it
- 2:02Speaker 2: forward for about ten other people who can't. So really,
- 2:05Speaker 2: it's like you're paying thirty five cents per person. Is
- 2:08Speaker 2: the is the maths right on?
- 2:10Speaker 4: That?
- 2:11Speaker 2: I don't I don't do maths anyway. Thank you for
- 2:13Speaker 2: listening to my quick plug. Please enjoy The very start
- 2:17Speaker 2: of the recording is missing, but please enjoy the Pokemon
- 2:20Speaker 2: Live Show. The pop culture game show that shines a
- 2:41Speaker 2: spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games master and
- 2:45Speaker 2: individual available for mister mime trades after the show is over.
- 2:50Speaker 3: That's a Pokemon Go reference.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I'm Matt Watson, all piss hog, but a games master
- 2:57Speaker 2: needs games and games need players, so please welcome first.
- 3:00Speaker 2: He is an improviser, comedy educator, and co owner of
- 3:04Speaker 2: the theater we're in right now. It's ironic that his
- 3:06Speaker 2: favorite game is Pokemon Silver because he's Goldman.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Make some noise for Ethan Goldman. It's the last good word.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And he is an improviser, a member of Whimsicults, the
- 3:26Speaker 2: Guest Bedroom, and based on his first name, possibly Team Rockets.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Put your hands together for Geo Castillo. Yes, oh, what
- 3:40Speaker 2: a nostalgic theme tune. Why aren't we back in the nineties.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Ethan Geo, thank you so much for joining me.
- 3:48Speaker 5: How you both doing doing great? Wish and I was
- 3:50Speaker 5: back in the nineties.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Yeah, back in the nineties, baby. I you know what
- 3:54Speaker 4: was great in the nineties. Pokemon Yellow Dude, great great shout.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I m yellow dude.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I do worry if this show just devolves in us
- 4:06Speaker 2: into us making references to things that loves the flow
- 4:09Speaker 2: of the comedy. But it's worth a try. So we
- 4:15Speaker 2: found out how you're both doing. You're both doing good.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You both excited. You both excited about the nineties and
- 4:19Speaker 2: Pokemon Yellow. But are you actually fans of Pokemon?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Ethan?
- 4:23Speaker 5: I was.
- 4:26Speaker 6: In the past, and I have feelings about it now
- 4:29Speaker 6: what those feelings negative? I feel like it's worse than
- 4:33Speaker 6: it was before, but it's more popular than ever, which
- 4:37Speaker 6: that's good, right.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I think it's just that we're aging.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Oh fuck, I'm having an anxistential crisis right now.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I know some puppets who can help. Geo. What about yourself?
- 4:50Speaker 3: You a fan of Pokemon, big fan?
- 4:52Speaker 5: Uh? Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Sometimes people get older and they get jaded, and sometimes
- 4:57Speaker 4: sometimes they don't. Sometimes they maintain that's childlike spirit and Pokemon, and.
- 5:03Speaker 5: We'll find out which one's better. We will. It's me. Wait,
- 5:07Speaker 5: we're on the same team. Yeah, it's yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 3: You pulled that off.
- 5:12Speaker 6: Yeah, we're like the two halves of the same generation.
- 5:16Speaker 6: One is good and one is fine.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:18Speaker 5: I like that.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That's good. That's good, that's great.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I'll take it.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So you got you got your fans, you
- 5:24Speaker 2: got some knowledge, it says up here on my sheet.
- 5:27Speaker 2: There's another question, so I'll ask it smart. So I
- 5:30Speaker 2: know in twenty twenty six the hobby is all about
- 5:32Speaker 2: waifus and money laundering.
- 5:34Speaker 3: But do you like have any favorite Pokemon?
- 5:37Speaker 7: Uh?
- 5:38Speaker 4: Well, I guess I'll start best Pokemon hands down a zoomerill, Yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 4: zoom Let me get that huge body, let me get
- 5:47Speaker 4: that belly roll.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Yeah. Wait, okay, we already.
- 5:56Speaker 6: The show hasn't even started and you're already talking about
- 5:58Speaker 6: the fuck ability of some of these.
- 6:02Speaker 5: I should have said guard Tom for something, because.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Those big strong thighs and those dinosaur mouths.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Fucking yeah, it's not It might come up, It might,
- 6:13Speaker 3: it might come up. We've had your favorite Pokemon? Ethan,
- 6:16Speaker 3: got any favorite Pokemon?
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:18Speaker 6: I think of Pokemon as animals, not as fuckable. People
- 6:23Speaker 6: like creatures, so I like, I like the ev evolutions.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I'm an m boy.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Mysterious. Rejected by your teammate for a high five fantastic, Well,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I think you make a fantastic team. But you'll need
- 6:41Speaker 2: a pair of rivals to face in a Pokemon battle,
- 6:45Speaker 2: so let's welcome them. She is our resident panelist, a
- 6:47Speaker 2: podcaster and comedian who works in STEM, which today stands
- 6:51Speaker 2: for Snorlax. Is tired of everyone's music, give it up
- 6:54Speaker 2: for Ordre Stevenson.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Fight music.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And she is an improviser and comedian a member of
- 7:06Speaker 2: the flock, so I assume she can name all of
- 7:08Speaker 2: the flying type Pokemon.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Put your wings together for Emily re flock representation. I
- 7:21Speaker 3: love it. Welcome Oldow, Welcome Emily.
- 7:23Speaker 1: How are you both doing doing great?
- 7:25Speaker 8: I'm doing so good that like battle music coming out,
- 7:28Speaker 8: I was ready for a fight. Yeah, and then I
- 7:30Speaker 8: just sat down without fighting.
- 7:33Speaker 6: That's what Pokemon's all about.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That's what the battle music sounds like.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yes, yes, okay, maybe we should ask some questions of
- 7:43Speaker 2: the top.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Emily, are you a fan of Pokemon?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Let me tell you what now?
- 7:51Speaker 9: Only because growing up my brother was a huge fan,
- 7:54Speaker 9: so naturally I had to hate it. Of course, so
- 7:59Speaker 9: I watched nothing, I know, not a lot of anything.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That's okay, that's okay, you'll find that this show doesn't really.
- 8:09Speaker 3: What about yourself?
- 8:11Speaker 10: I wasn't a fan in my youth.
- 8:12Speaker 8: I was not allowed to consume Pokemon, and then as
- 8:15Speaker 8: an act of adult rebellion, I got like really into
- 8:19Speaker 8: Pokemon Go, because that's what grown ups do and they
- 8:23Speaker 8: try to reclaim their childhood. But yeah, I watched some
- 8:27Speaker 8: of the anime. I played a lot of Pokemon Go.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You believe that was ten years ago.
- 8:32Speaker 8: Pokemon, I have selective belief, and that's not real. It
- 8:39Speaker 8: feels like yesterday to me.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Well you really said that whimsically.
- 8:45Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Why don't we have that type of chemistry.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Don't talk to me directly, So, Aldre, do you have
- 9:00Speaker 3: favorite Pokemon you want to shout out?
- 9:01Speaker 8: I am bisexual, so naturally any of the evolutionis, oh.
- 9:06Speaker 5: My god, bisexual.
- 9:09Speaker 8: Okay, oh my god, is what's gonna be the one
- 9:13Speaker 8: that I said, because I think it's the most bisexual
- 9:16Speaker 8: coded whatever, Maybe do.
- 9:20Speaker 10: Some soul searching, but.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Don't talk to me.
- 9:26Speaker 10: I am gonna say. My favorite is Side Duck.
- 9:29Speaker 8: And if you don't know the lore of Side Duck,
- 9:31Speaker 8: it's always like this, and it's always looks panicked and
- 9:34Speaker 8: it just always really has a headache and it's trying
- 9:36Speaker 8: to sue this headache, and so she's like, please please,
- 9:39Speaker 8: can we call them everything down?
- 9:42Speaker 10: And I relate to that.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's great. You also mentioned younding.
- 9:48Speaker 8: Yes, I am Side duck bounding nice with my gold there's.
- 9:52Speaker 10: Flatful, My gosh, thank you.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Don't look at me. We'll get there, We'll get there.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I love these different energies so much.
- 10:04Speaker 11: Emily.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you if you have any favorite Pokemon,
- 10:06Speaker 2: but maybe the better question is can you name a Pokemon?
- 10:09Speaker 9: Actually I do have a favorite, yes, please, I'm not koding.
- 10:12Speaker 9: So my last name is very closely related to Charizard.
- 10:17Speaker 9: Uh so, and I met Charzard tonight backstage.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Local celebrity.
- 10:25Speaker 9: I forget who pointed that out, but uh yeah, so
- 10:28Speaker 9: he is now my favorite.
- 10:30Speaker 3: That's great.
- 10:30Speaker 9: I used to work in an elementary school and they
- 10:35Speaker 9: Pokemon cards were actually banned from the elementary school because
- 10:38Speaker 9: there were fights, lots of conflict around the cards.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But they would all call me missus Charizard.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Oh that's I mean, that's pretty cool. Teachers get called things.
- 10:48Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, yeah, no one really knew my last name,
- 10:52Speaker 9: just missus Charsard. And so then also all the teachers
- 10:54Speaker 9: and the administration also called me that too.
- 10:57Speaker 3: So can we call you Emily Charles out tonight? I
- 11:00Speaker 3: would love that gives.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Okay, teams, you've arrived at your small town science lab,
- 11:09Speaker 2: because they all have one of those, and a local
- 11:11Speaker 2: Zatie offers you an adorable tech creature to take care
- 11:14Speaker 2: of but also fight to the near death. There's no
- 11:17Speaker 2: pesky animal rights activism in this world. So with our
- 11:20Speaker 2: family friendly setting established, I'd like each pair to come
- 11:23Speaker 2: up with a Pokemon themed team name.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Please. Let's start with Ethan and Geo. What you got here?
- 11:28Speaker 5: You texted me a big, long list of hilarious names.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Why don't you sound them off? We'll see all of
- 11:35Speaker 6: those names because they were all gold. Do I really
- 11:38Speaker 6: have to say all of them?
- 11:39Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:41Speaker 4: If you don't, I have the text, so a little
- 11:48Speaker 4: bit of context. My mom will most likely be listening
- 11:51Speaker 4: to this episode, so I am going to to my
- 11:54Speaker 4: best of my abilities.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Keep it p g rated. Okay, oh that was you
- 11:58Speaker 5: sent me at.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Mom, So I'm gonna go through these real fast. So
- 12:06Speaker 4: I got that, and I had problems.
- 12:07Speaker 5: But the b one nice team Clocket, we gotta do
- 12:11Speaker 5: the thing lock smoke, Wheedle every.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Day, slow, broms, Hose and Hoan.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah these are niche references.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Then it really devolves, really takes a nose diamond quality
- 12:27Speaker 4: team wink it.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Professor, explain explain one kit.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Uh, well, you know when you gotta get the bottom
- 12:35Speaker 4: of a Chobanni like portable yogurt off and then you
- 12:38Speaker 4: gotta shake.
- 12:39Speaker 11: It a little bit.
- 12:40Speaker 5: There's there's a little.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Big part of the drinkable yogurt at the bottom.
- 12:46Speaker 3: That question that question.
- 12:51Speaker 5: And uh yeah, like tem Rockett. Okay, cho Banni had nothing.
- 13:01Speaker 4: This is so hard. This is why I don't do
- 13:02Speaker 4: family friendly shows. Professor jerk, professor off.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Okay, that's that's pretty solid.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Actually, yeah, I like that spanking the monkey. That's fun.
- 13:12Speaker 3: That's spanking the monkey's fun. Crankinking joke that works. You
- 13:16Speaker 3: thank you, geo dudes.
- 13:20Speaker 4: That would have a little a little self centered, but
- 13:22Speaker 4: I think I deserve it.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I think after how Ethan Street, did you.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Crank and the Chunky, that's where the Gen nine people
- 13:30Speaker 4: wow and uh.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Say it.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I'm sorry, you can't just say it choke the chia.
- 13:41Speaker 3: So I feel like, no matter what we're going with,
- 13:44Speaker 3: we're going with a wanking name.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Do you texted me this long list and my counterproposal
- 13:50Speaker 5: was balls.
- 13:54Speaker 1: You have them.
- 13:56Speaker 3: It's pretty good with balls.
- 13:58Speaker 5: I think we're go with the.
- 14:01Speaker 3: It's just those names. Balls is just funny.
- 14:15Speaker 5: It is good you know, I like to think that
- 14:18Speaker 5: I set him up for that. Yeah, yeah, let's be honest.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Yeah all right, well we've got balls, thank god, let's
- 14:25Speaker 2: find out who balls will be facing adra Emily and.
- 14:28Speaker 1: He we we don't have balls. No o, here, you
- 14:37Speaker 1: guys can.
- 14:38Speaker 8: And one of the names that I had came come
- 14:41Speaker 8: up with is.
- 14:42Speaker 10: Actually pokey woman. It's time session.
- 14:52Speaker 8: I also had coughing, wheezing, throwing up, just as I
- 14:57Speaker 8: want the gen Z folk to like me.
- 15:00Speaker 10: I don't think that's what's gonna do it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I think that'll do it.
- 15:04Speaker 8: And then if you do not know, Emily in the
- 15:06Speaker 8: discord will use the bean emoji instead of a heart
- 15:09Speaker 8: or a thumbs up.
- 15:11Speaker 10: So just bean type pokemon.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's so I don't know how to change it.
- 15:20Speaker 5: You can only react with.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I can only react with beans, and I don't know.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I had no idea.
- 15:26Speaker 9: I double I double click it double tap, and its beans.
- 15:31Speaker 10: I don't know beans all the way down.
- 15:34Speaker 5: There's a lot to change that.
- 15:40Speaker 9: Okay, listen, I'm here for the beans though.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I like it, and actually we have beans.
- 15:51Speaker 8: Scenes, so I think we're going to be the bean
- 15:57Speaker 8: type pokemon.
- 15:58Speaker 3: The bean type Pokemon.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That was really that was really smart. Thank you, you're welcome.
- 16:05Speaker 10: I like your bean emoji replies. I don't think you
- 16:07Speaker 10: should ever change it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Okay, I want never.
- 16:09Speaker 10: Change you rock, don't ever change like this.
- 16:13Speaker 5: I'm even scared to bring it up now.
- 16:18Speaker 2: All right, So we have balls versus the bean type Pokemon.
- 16:24Speaker 2: All right, let's see what they'll be playing for. We
- 16:27Speaker 2: do have over two hundred and fifty dollars in audience
- 16:29Speaker 2: prizes to give away a little bit later on tonight.
- 16:31Speaker 2: But our teams will be competing for what's inside this
- 16:34Speaker 2: mystery box?
- 16:37Speaker 3: What could it be? No expense is being wasted, all right.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And if you're listening to this and thinking Pokemon, I
- 16:45Speaker 2: was more of a digitmon guy, all right, worry not
- 16:50Speaker 2: his udra with a little segment we like to call
- 16:52Speaker 2: passing knowledge.
- 16:53Speaker 10: Who So.
- 16:56Speaker 8: Pokemon is a Japanese media franchise that includes video games, anime,
- 17:00Speaker 8: and a trading card game that no one on your playground.
- 17:03Speaker 10: Actually knew how to play, regardless of the iteration.
- 17:06Speaker 8: The goal is to collect, train, and then battle creatures
- 17:09Speaker 8: and what is definitely the cutest form of dog fighting imaginable.
- 17:16Speaker 8: When Pokemon came out in the nineties, there was one
- 17:19Speaker 8: hundred and fifty one Pokemon and now there's over a
- 17:22Speaker 8: thousand Pokemon. Now their slogan is got to catch them all.
- 17:27Speaker 8: And with that transition and increase in Pokemon, that became.
- 17:29Speaker 10: More of like a state of mind, you know, kind
- 17:34Speaker 10: of like enlightenment or democracy. It's a state of mind.
- 17:39Speaker 8: Now to keep that one, yeah, but it's currently not happening.
- 17:43Speaker 10: It's more of a state of mind.
- 17:46Speaker 8: So Pokemon are divided into types, which feels kind of
- 17:50Speaker 8: like segregationist. But ride On can learn surf and that
- 17:53Speaker 8: feels queer coded, so I think it's all fine.
- 17:57Speaker 10: Now.
- 17:58Speaker 8: My parents did not let me play with Pokemon cards
- 18:01Speaker 8: when I was a child, and.
- 18:03Speaker 10: If I had kids, I think i'd probably do the same.
- 18:05Speaker 8: I mean, it's not because some of the cards have
- 18:08Speaker 8: sexy ladies on them. It's because the sexy lady cards
- 18:12Speaker 8: are too expensive to be buying for a child.
- 18:16Speaker 10: Now, the ultimate goal of.
- 18:17Speaker 8: This series is to become a Pokemon master, and the
- 18:21Speaker 8: lead in the main anime, Ashketchum took twenty five years
- 18:26Speaker 8: to do that, which means we have twenty four years
- 18:30Speaker 8: to learn how to sell tickets to this show.
- 18:34Speaker 10: But we're all here tonight. So that's play Pandemonia.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Yes, you so much, your drug. You are the very best,
- 18:42Speaker 3: like no one ever was.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Just before we get to today's games, I've asked each
- 18:45Speaker 2: player to bring in a muse, something that inspires them
- 18:48Speaker 2: or something they love from this particular fandom. Pokemon is
- 18:51Speaker 2: inspiring to me because every few years they released the
- 18:54Speaker 2: exact same two games, and no one seems to mind.
- 18:57Speaker 2: This is our third Pokemon episode in six seasons. Ethan,
- 19:01Speaker 2: we'll start with you. What's inspiring you from the world
- 19:03Speaker 2: of Pokemon's I think it's nice that they get to
- 19:07Speaker 2: live in the computer.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And you want that.
- 19:14Speaker 6: I think we all kind of are there, and it's
- 19:17Speaker 6: nice to imagine a world where it doesn't suck so bad.
- 19:20Speaker 6: And I think it's like probably nice in the computer
- 19:23Speaker 6: that the Pokemon live in, right, they get emailed to
- 19:26Speaker 6: each other and stuff like I don't.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Know, Yeah, it's a very like nineties internet, isn't It's
- 19:29Speaker 2: very like simple the pre social media.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Yeah, you're just dragging stuff from different files to other olders,
- 19:36Speaker 6: and I guess the Pokemon are just they're just digimon
- 19:40Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 19:42Speaker 4: That's pretty optimistic to think they're not like helplessly trapped
- 19:45Speaker 4: in this computer you're forcing them to be in.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Isn't that the case?
- 19:49Speaker 6: I retract everything I said inspiring about Pokemon. They're just
- 19:54Speaker 6: screaming for the sweet release of death.
- 19:58Speaker 3: All right, very inspiring.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Screw it up again.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Let's move phone off it to your other ball, the
- 20:05Speaker 3: half of balls? Geo, what's inspiring you from Pokemon?
- 20:08Speaker 4: So I got this cool, very heavy big ball. Ye
- 20:15Speaker 4: falls balls.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Shout out to Wayne in the audience. Let's get up
- 20:22Speaker 5: for where.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I screwed up. And I left my thing at home,
- 20:30Speaker 4: but he had me covered. And speaking of having people covered,
- 20:33Speaker 4: that's what Pokemon makes me think about. You know, when
- 20:36Speaker 4: I was growing up, I remember my brother, older brother.
- 20:39Speaker 4: I'd be like, hey man, what's weak against dark type?
- 20:42Speaker 4: I keep forgetting And that was like half of our
- 20:45Speaker 4: communication growing up. Did you ever think your childhood was
- 20:50Speaker 4: like actually sad and bad?
- 20:52Speaker 5: Oh man, can't be right?
- 20:55Speaker 3: Why anyway he is on this side? So depressing?
- 20:59Speaker 4: So anyways, totally happy childhood. Yeah, we have that that
- 21:03Speaker 4: type of great rapport in deep communication and later in life. Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 4: he taught me how to how to emuli rom hacks
- 21:11Speaker 4: and taught me how to get a game Boy emulator
- 21:14Speaker 4: on my phone and and uh yeah, that's uh, that's
- 21:17Speaker 4: what Pokemon reminds me, you know, passing down knowledge.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Okay, that's that's good to you. Spun that effectively to
- 21:23Speaker 2: being pausive if I love that. Yeah, family, right, Family's
- 21:27Speaker 2: always inspiring. Come on, it's fast and furious. Yeah, this
- 21:32Speaker 2: is a stealth, fast and furial.
- 21:34Speaker 10: They're diesel type Pokemon.
- 21:37Speaker 5: That's actually sick as hell.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Okay, kind of inspiring. Balls are kind of depressing stuff
- 21:43Speaker 2: from bulls.
- 21:43Speaker 12: There.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Let's move on over to the bean type Pokemon and
- 21:46Speaker 2: see if we can be a little bit more inspired.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Emily, what's inspiring you from the world of Pokemon.
- 21:52Speaker 9: Well, it just I know that it's such a tight
- 21:54Speaker 9: knit community of those people who love Pokemon, and they
- 21:58Speaker 9: just really can band together and play games, yeah, and
- 22:08Speaker 9: hang out and just find a sense of community. Yes,
- 22:14Speaker 9: And I think that's really sweet because most likely they're
- 22:18Speaker 9: not finding that somewhere else they might otherwise be I'm
- 22:22Speaker 9: just I'm generalizing.
- 22:24Speaker 6: I mean, Geo has never been hugged by his brother
- 22:30Speaker 6: in a computer You're.
- 22:31Speaker 9: Right, right, So like they're finding community and they're like
- 22:35Speaker 9: loving each other.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And I think that's great.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's excellent and excellent coupling together a bunch
- 22:40Speaker 2: of context clues from the last ten minutes's say something.
- 22:43Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 22:44Speaker 9: So I met two of them tonight, that's true, and
- 22:46Speaker 9: they're they're really adorable.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Yes, that's pretty cute. That's kind of the whole thing.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so a minute minute.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Very inspiring, community, always inspiring. So es better than these
- 22:58Speaker 2: guys working on ODRO. What's inspiring you from Pokemon?
- 23:03Speaker 8: During the pandemic, I started playing Pokemon Go as like
- 23:07Speaker 8: a get out of the house type of thing, as
- 23:09Speaker 8: a lot of people did, and there was a lot
- 23:11Speaker 8: of community in that, and I loved it and I
- 23:14Speaker 8: had so much fun and I played it so intensely,
- 23:18Speaker 8: and because we were doing this episode, I.
- 23:19Speaker 10: Re downloaded it and that's awesome. I have it here.
- 23:24Speaker 8: But the thing is is that I have so many
- 23:28Speaker 8: open research quests, and one of them is to send
- 23:32Speaker 8: gifts to friends. And I don't have anybody who's still
- 23:36Speaker 8: playing this game. So if anybody here does play Pokemon Go,
- 23:41Speaker 8: you can add me.
- 23:42Speaker 10: Please add me so I can send its gifts.
- 23:44Speaker 3: This is just a PSA.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Okay, So my Pokemon code is two to five three.
- 23:51Speaker 10: Oh you know, well, we'll talk afterwards.
- 23:53Speaker 8: If anybody you don't have to be teamistic, I will
- 23:57Speaker 8: trade gifts with anyone.
- 23:59Speaker 10: Thank you so much, all.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Right, very inspiring. Pokemon fans.
- 24:03Speaker 9: Friends, you know, when you were giving your code out,
- 24:07Speaker 9: nobody had their phone out.
- 24:11Speaker 8: I look, it's because they listened to Matt at the
- 24:13Speaker 8: beginning and they have their phones on silent, and I
- 24:16Speaker 8: think I want respectful friends in Pokemon Go, so that's
- 24:20Speaker 8: actually a benefit.
- 24:21Speaker 2: This is why it's hard for Pokemon fans to make friends,
- 24:23Speaker 2: because they're like, you better be respectful.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Right at the top. Fantastic, very inspiring.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I'm feeling inspired by both of our teams, even if
- 24:32Speaker 2: it's a lie when I look this way, Are we
- 24:35Speaker 2: already for some games?
- 24:37Speaker 5: Games?
- 24:39Speaker 2: Okay, teams, let's grab onto our balls and harden as
- 24:42Speaker 2: we take root one into Round one.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Who don't have to add that impulse? That's awesome? Okay.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Round one is a gibberish.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Based guessing game that this time we're calling Peka Clue
- 24:58Speaker 2: thank you in.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Terms which player will take on the role.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Of a Pokemon master, asking after the needs of their
- 25:04Speaker 2: lovable Pokemon played by their teammate The problem is their
- 25:07Speaker 2: Pokemon can only make gestures and say their own name,
- 25:11Speaker 2: just like in real life, not real life the cartoon.
- 25:15Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Each Pokemon needs to communicate their desired food item, activity,
- 25:20Speaker 2: and a gift in this manner to their trainer in
- 25:24Speaker 2: just ninety seconds. So Geo will be our first Pokemon
- 25:28Speaker 2: trainer and Ethan will be our first Pokemon. So Ethan,
- 25:31Speaker 2: here are the three things you're looking to communicate to
- 25:34Speaker 2: your Pokemon trainer, and for our lovely listeners. The food
- 25:37Speaker 2: item is hot dogs, the activity is pottery throwing, and
- 25:42Speaker 2: the gift is a shower radio. But we don't know
- 25:45Speaker 2: what Pokemon Ethan is gonna be. So wonderful Peak improv audience,
- 25:49Speaker 2: what's your favorite Pokemon?
- 25:50Speaker 3: Who should Ethan be?
- 25:51Speaker 2: What weird word should Ethan say?
- 25:53Speaker 3: Ooh, jiggly Puff's fun. Let's go. Let's make Ethan say
- 26:01Speaker 3: jiggly Puff until the world has no meaning. Okay, so
- 26:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna put ninety seconds on my big clock. Remember
- 26:09Speaker 3: the l in that clock? Are you ready? Puff? Okay,
- 26:16Speaker 3: time starts now.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Gigg Tigle Pup.
- 26:21Speaker 4: You sure wear that PC for a while. Pop Pop,
- 26:25Speaker 4: You're sure to learn some new skills off the internet.
- 26:27Speaker 4: I'm a little disturbed.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Jiggly puff. Oh, I'm sorry. You have this new seaman addiction.
- 26:36Speaker 8: This one.
- 26:37Speaker 3: This one's a food.
- 26:45Speaker 5: I'm still getting seaman addiction.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 26:47Speaker 5: That's all I'm getting, right. Oh wait, uh huh oh
- 26:53Speaker 5: like a hot dog? Oh puff puff?
- 26:59Speaker 4: Oh my god, Oh my gosh, I'm I'm pregnant.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Oh gosh, tickli pottery, Hey want that?
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, thirty seconds.
- 27:24Speaker 7: You haven't showered in a while. You can't shower anymore
- 27:33Speaker 7: since you keep touching my nipples.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Listening to music in the shower, and you keep touching
- 27:41Speaker 4: the thermometer things.
- 27:44Speaker 12: About, and that's your time. The Tower Radio show was the.
- 27:58Speaker 3: But that's really good. That's two points.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Say I'm sorry.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Oh wow, I'm so sorry. An excellent jiggery puffery there from.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Me, Thank thank you?
- 28:18Speaker 3: Yeah lovely.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Okay, let's move on over to the bean type Pokemon.
- 28:24Speaker 2: We are going to have Ordra being the pokemon and
- 28:29Speaker 2: Emily being the pokemon trainer.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Oh okay.
- 28:32Speaker 2: The food item is spaghetti bolognaize, the activity is CrossFit,
- 28:37Speaker 2: and the gift is scented candles. Okay, but which pokemon
- 28:42Speaker 2: is Audra going to be. What's a funny word for
- 28:44Speaker 2: Udra to share? Miss them, I love that. Let's go
- 28:47Speaker 2: with mister Mime. Let's do mister Mike. Okay, Udre, you
- 28:50Speaker 2: are mister Mime and you have ninety seconds to communicate
- 28:53Speaker 2: these three needs to your Pokemon trainer.
- 28:54Speaker 12: Do it.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Your time starts.
- 28:56Speaker 10: Now, mister mime.
- 28:59Speaker 9: Mister you are eating spaghetti. You are sliming your spaghetti.
- 29:20Speaker 10: Mister, mister mimes.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Spaghetti fairies, miss mister saucy spaghetti.
- 29:32Speaker 3: We'll take it. Spaghetti.
- 29:38Speaker 9: Mister mister.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Wow, you're working out.
- 29:45Speaker 9: You love the gym. You are a jim rat. Wow,
- 29:52Speaker 9: you're doing pull ups and flexing and my muscling your muscles.
- 30:03Speaker 9: Oh the battle ropes mm hmmm.
- 30:06Speaker 10: Oh mister mister mister m hmmmmmm.
- 30:11Speaker 9: Tiny microphone, you got ten seconds? No strength? I'm not
- 30:22Speaker 9: you're you're beautiful and strong, old.
- 30:31Speaker 3: What was mister? My'm looking to do an activity? CrossFit
- 30:35Speaker 3: We needed the brand. I'm so sorry. Oh yeah, okay,
- 30:39Speaker 3: we're sponsored by CrossFit.
- 30:40Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Really those are things called battle ropes.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I found a little friendship there which was
- 30:50Speaker 4: that was nice.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Yeah, we should maybe get a point for that. I
- 30:52Speaker 5: don't know.
- 30:53Speaker 10: Did you say you should get a point?
- 30:55Speaker 3: Get No, they get one point for getting one end.
- 31:00Speaker 10: Okay, that's fair.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I mean I did get battle ropes.
- 31:04Speaker 3: You did get battle ropes. That's such a good point.
- 31:05Speaker 2: And look, just because we don't like these things to
- 31:07Speaker 2: end on a tie, because I have no preparations, let's
- 31:09Speaker 2: give them half a point for gym and battle.
- 31:14Speaker 5: If you and I were friends, would we get a point.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I don't believe that's going to happen. I'm going straight
- 31:22Speaker 3: to romance, okay, but before you go to romance, we've
- 31:26Speaker 3: gotta have a bit of role reversal because this time
- 31:28Speaker 3: we're gonna head on back on over to balls. Can't
- 31:30Speaker 3: believe that's your team name.
- 31:31Speaker 2: This time, Geo will be the Pokemon and Ethan will
- 31:35Speaker 2: be the trainer. But we're gonna crank up the difficulty
- 31:38Speaker 2: on the little bit this time. The food is a
- 31:42Speaker 2: cold for Sunday, the activity is zorbing, and the gift
- 31:47Speaker 2: is the declaration of Independence. We need a pokemon for
- 31:51Speaker 2: Geo to be. What's a funny pokemon for Geo to be?
- 31:54Speaker 2: I like La Chunk gets me every time, so it's
- 31:57Speaker 2: gonna be La Chunk.
- 32:00Speaker 3: You know you all the junk.
- 32:01Speaker 2: It's just a cute name. You got ninety seconds on
- 32:04Speaker 2: the clock. Time starts now.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Alright, junk, what's up? Oh good? Yeah? Yeah, I love
- 32:13Speaker 5: the weather.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Uh huh, sure yeah, I love the motor boat.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Also for sure.
- 32:20Speaker 11: Drunk?
- 32:21Speaker 5: Sure yeah, no, sorry, I'm just I have a seaman addiction.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Is that related to this.
- 32:32Speaker 9: Trunk?
- 32:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 32:35Speaker 6: Sure, you're scooping it, yeah, big old scoop. It's like
- 32:38Speaker 6: a wet watermelon, like a different kind of melon. There's
- 32:45Speaker 6: a seed, just a little a seed fruit, a fruit seed.
- 32:53Speaker 6: You can move on to another clue, chalk right, not
- 33:02Speaker 6: that fah smart, Yes, so much. Patriotism America football, American
- 33:16Speaker 6: football stamps, CRICI of Independence.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Of Independence. Yes, that's the gift. You got ten seconds.
- 33:28Speaker 5: Talk back to the seed fruit, A wet bowl, the
- 33:34Speaker 5: Chipotle bowl. It's ice cream, it's cold.
- 33:37Speaker 3: That's your time.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Was so close to it though, he got cold cold
- 33:44Speaker 2: fudge Sunday, cold fudge Sunday.
- 33:46Speaker 5: I said, ice cream bowl. Yeah, some of those words
- 33:49Speaker 5: are near each other. Yeah, but what if we.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Kicked yea, well kissed. That's a different story. We're gonna
- 33:59Speaker 3: say one for the declaration of Independence.
- 34:01Speaker 5: I gotta know what do.
- 34:03Speaker 3: You all Americans? Never been orbing?
- 34:11Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 34:20Speaker 2: Sorry, sorry, I forget that.
- 34:24Speaker 12: Go down.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Okay, we've got one more Pokemon to hear the needs
- 34:28Speaker 2: of this time, Emily, you will be the pokemon I
- 34:30Speaker 2: made these British and impossible. The food item is gaspacho soup,
- 34:35Speaker 2: the activity is a robin Hood themed escape room, and
- 34:39Speaker 2: the gift is a big Gun. Let's find out which
- 34:42Speaker 2: Pokemon Emily is going to be. I think let's go
- 34:49Speaker 2: with Pikachu. He's a favorite.
- 34:50Speaker 3: We've not had Pikachu. That's that one. That's that one.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I'm learning so much.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Today, Emily.
- 35:00Speaker 2: That is your that is your food, your activity, and
- 35:04Speaker 2: your gift that you need to communicate. I think at
- 35:06Speaker 2: this point we can do them in any order because
- 35:08Speaker 2: they're difficult and British. We've got ninety seconds on the clock.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Are you ready?
- 35:14Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Your time starts now, Piker.
- 35:18Speaker 10: Okay, so we're very old and.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Cold, A cold, A cold soup.
- 35:27Speaker 10: The only one I can think of is cucumber soup.
- 35:29Speaker 9: Is that a thing, Pica, not cucumber soup?
- 35:36Speaker 10: Okay, so we're doing it different. Okay, we're doing a different. Okay,
- 35:39Speaker 10: big Gun, Suspicious.
- 35:49Speaker 12: Go for it.
- 35:49Speaker 10: Picka okay, pick up? Okay, founding fathers. We're very patriotic,
- 35:57Speaker 10: we're standing, we're pointed.
- 36:00Speaker 8: We're tying on a beard and riding on a horse
- 36:04Speaker 8: Paul Revere or a band or? Do is that a bandanna?
- 36:08Speaker 8: Maybe a band okay?
- 36:10Speaker 10: Shooting a ball?
- 36:13Speaker 13: Oh?
- 36:19Speaker 10: Okay?
- 36:19Speaker 8: Who rides on a horse of the bow and Arrow
- 36:21Speaker 8: that has a lot of money?
- 36:24Speaker 10: Did you little Robin Hood? Robin?
- 36:30Speaker 9: Uh think you writing writing writing a letter?
- 36:38Speaker 10: So excited about it? You and we're going through a door.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Running and that's your time. That one was a Robin
- 36:53Speaker 3: Hood themed escape room.
- 36:54Speaker 10: What okay?
- 36:57Speaker 3: A little too British man, I put a big gun
- 37:01Speaker 3: in there.
- 37:05Speaker 10: I was never gonna say a spatcho in my whole life.
- 37:08Speaker 9: That is a cold soup, right like I was on
- 37:10Speaker 9: that Okay cold, It is a cold soup.
- 37:12Speaker 4: I bet you wish you had Zorbing Huh.
- 37:16Speaker 10: Genuinely I would have gottensorbing.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I would have got you would not have because I
- 37:20Speaker 1: have no idea. What hey, we're a teeth, Come on, Yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 1: she would.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Have got it.
- 37:26Speaker 9: Yeah, you're lucky mats there.
- 37:30Speaker 10: Otherwise we fight. You're lucky piss.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Hogs there.
- 37:37Speaker 3: It's not.
- 37:39Speaker 4: And hogging.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Sorry about the very British clues there by the way, guys,
- 37:49Speaker 2: I'm going to fail my citizenship tested this right, all.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Right, that's the end of round one, Officer Jenny.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Sorry, Producer Jen, could you please share with us the
- 38:00Speaker 2: current scores.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I don't know if you actually know this, but I have.
- 38:12Speaker 13: This time.
- 38:16Speaker 9: Balls are on three points favorite balls and the being
- 38:20Speaker 9: type Pokemon are on two point five.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Pretty close.
- 38:25Speaker 5: That's how many balls I had.
- 38:28Speaker 10: And a half.
- 38:32Speaker 2: We'll get even a medical professional. But up next is
- 38:35Speaker 2: round two. If you're listening at home, it'll be after
- 38:38Speaker 2: these ads. But if you're in the room with us,
- 38:40Speaker 2: Round two, I choose you. Round two is a podcast
- 38:44Speaker 2: favorite that we're playing live for the first time. It's
- 38:46Speaker 2: a game called merch Table. We're going to explore the
- 38:50Speaker 2: weird and wonderful world of Pokemon merchandise. Because capitalism is
- 38:54Speaker 2: an endless source of comedy. Producer Jen and I have
- 38:59Speaker 2: scoured the net for the best, the finest Pokemon merch available,
- 39:03Speaker 2: and we're going to give them away to members of
- 39:04Speaker 2: our brilliant Peak improv audience. Our players and our audience
- 39:08Speaker 2: will all be trying to guess the exact price that
- 39:11Speaker 2: each item was listed for online. You can use the
- 39:13Speaker 2: paddles that you've got to write on there. You're looking
- 39:17Speaker 2: for the closest possible. It's like prices right rules.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Right, that's a that's a reference you'll get American chows.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Oh, it's not prices right rules. I explained this game
- 39:27Speaker 2: to someone. They said it was prices, right rules. It's
- 39:28Speaker 2: not prices right rules. Closest answer gets the prize.
- 39:31Speaker 5: You can go.
- 39:32Speaker 3: You can go over that sport.
- 39:36Speaker 2: But if we're gonna have a bit of an auction,
- 39:38Speaker 2: we're gonna need an auctioneer. So please welcome to the stage,
- 39:41Speaker 2: your auction master, mister Casey Dean Fred. Yeah, Casey, you're
- 39:52Speaker 2: a you're big into nineties collectibles.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Right, what do you know about the Pokemon market.
- 39:57Speaker 11: I know that it's.
- 39:58Speaker 14: Crashing, that a lot of scalpers have really taken over
- 40:04Speaker 14: and has made it really hard for children to love
- 40:07Speaker 14: this love this thing, and making it impossible for children
- 40:11Speaker 14: to get into this, and making it only okay for.
- 40:14Speaker 13: Adults to watch it, which is why we're all adults here.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Thank you so much for helping us out, Casey.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Casey is going to read the official listing that this
- 40:28Speaker 2: was listed for online as it is described for each item,
- 40:32Speaker 2: our players and our wonderful audience, you're going to write
- 40:35Speaker 2: down and answer. Then you're going to hold your paddles

- 56:37Speaker 2: you explain to hear me out cake?
- 56:39Speaker 10: Okay?
- 56:39Speaker 8: So, hear me out cakes are a social media trend
- 56:42Speaker 8: where people would have a cake and then they would
- 56:44Speaker 8: stick a skewer in with a photo of someone who
- 56:46Speaker 8: is not Traditionally, you wouldn't be like obviously I would
- 56:50Speaker 8: fuck that person like ethan.

- 57:20Speaker 5: What if I know the guy on the right, you've.
- 57:24Speaker 10: Met, you know him personally? You had a fling and.
- 57:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah, wow, I can't say it.
- 57:35Speaker 3: Yeah you don't, don't give it away.
- 57:38Speaker 1: That's okay, it means nothing to me.
- 57:41Speaker 2: So how this game is going to work is in turns.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Players are going to step forward and take one of
- 57:46Speaker 2: the characters from the cake. They are then going to
- 57:49Speaker 2: have one minute on the clock to justify why they
- 57:52Speaker 2: would date, marry, or fuck that character.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Will yeah, yeah, whatever you want, Pick which evilne you want,
- 58:00Speaker 3: pick all the lanes.
- 58:01Speaker 2: It's more about people talking awkwardly for a minute again British.
- 58:07Speaker 2: So I will then rank them five four, three two
- 58:10Speaker 2: for whoever felt the most convincing that they want to
- 58:13Speaker 2: be heard out on this character. So we are going
- 58:16Speaker 2: to start with Ethan selecting a character from the hymn okay, Ethan,
- 58:20Speaker 2: would you like to step forward and select a character?
- 58:23Speaker 5: Sure?
- 58:27Speaker 8: Wow?

- 58:36Speaker 2: you now have one full minute.
- 58:38Speaker 3: On the clock, thank God, to justify and you can
- 58:41Speaker 3: you can look at it now. Oh now, yeah, you
- 58:42Speaker 3: can look at it now.
- 58:43Speaker 5: It's what I thought.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah, great, you have one minute on the clock to
- 58:47Speaker 3: justify your relationship to this pokemon.
- 58:49Speaker 5: Okay, so everyone wants to fuck the ones that look
- 58:51Speaker 5: like a guy or whatever, but I'm gonna say I
- 58:55Speaker 5: would fuck this one. I think it's it's all I
- 58:59Speaker 5: want to say. Yeah, look at that mouth. I'm just
- 59:04Speaker 5: gonna say the look. This is a look to me
- 59:08Speaker 5: that says I concerns.
- 59:14Speaker 3: And uh and I know.
- 59:18Speaker 5: I know that it evolves into a form of other
- 59:20Speaker 5: plant that holds a lot of like more liquid. So
- 59:25Speaker 5: that's good. Yeah for dry a worse version of this pokemon. Yeah,
- 59:30Speaker 5: it's got its arms in the air, bell'sprout.
- 59:33Speaker 6: I feel like it's a fun is a fun vibe,
- 59:36Speaker 6: but this one really like it looks like it's screaming
- 59:39Speaker 6: all the time.
- 59:41Speaker 5: And that's apparently what I like.
- 59:43Speaker 6: As well as my bisexual awakening that I learned today
- 59:48Speaker 6: the time.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I've always wanted what radical consent sounded like, and I
- 59:54Speaker 2: think it's consent. Oh god, yeah, there's darkness behind those eyes.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Okay, fantastic.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Well, I can't make my judgment now because I need
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: to hear all of these perverts. So we're gonna move
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: on over to the bean type Pokemon and Ordra, would
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: you like to select your character?
- 1:00:17Speaker 10: I would I would love to.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah, okay, Ordra, are you happy with that character?
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Do you know who that character is?
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: It's one of the professors. And he said, oh, so
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: that's where I'm gonna go.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: All right, well your minute of hear me out begins now.
- 1:00:48Speaker 10: Okay, so this is a really sane answer. This is
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: a human. I think he just has really kind eyes.
- 1:00:58Speaker 10: But like you just look at this motherfucker.
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: You know that he has a lot of interest because
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: he has been in that lab for a long time,
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: and so he's thought of all the ways that he
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: wants to have sex with you. He's gonna experiment in
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: the bedroom and those results they're gonna be sexy.
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: Okay. I think he knows a bunch of ways. You
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: know what's on that laptop that like tablet?
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: He has in his hands a documented list of everything
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: that he wants to do to you, so that he
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: doesn't forget. And I think that shows care and attention,
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: and also that maybe he's into swingers parties if he's
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: really down for a spreadsheet. And so I honestly think
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: this is a great pick, especially since again, and I
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: cannot stress this enough, he is a human.
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: The bar has never been lower human man.
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: Twenty twenty six. I'm saying it.
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you wouldn't back around to be in a free
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Do you want to be the human?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Science sexy?
- 1:02:03Speaker 10: Science is sexy. It's a good point, It's incredible.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Thank you, oldra I.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: I still can't make my judgment on who's his best
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: because I'm simply not yet aroused enough.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: So Geo, we're gonna move on over to you. Are
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: you ready to pick your character.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: Of the audiences?
- 1:02:32Speaker 11: A little bit of taste?
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Okay, Geo? Are we ready to hat you out? Are
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: you happy with that character?
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, nothing else needed. Your minute begins.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: Now you know on second that I think it's time
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: to refocus, and this segment is gonna be from my mom.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: You know it's gonna be PC.
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: It's gonna be PG. You know, I'm gonna.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: I'm gonna be friends with this guy, leaky tome gonna.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: We're gonna be friends, and after ten years we're gonna
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: get married and we're gonna have consensual sex for the
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: purpose of recreation, my.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: God, in.
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: A way wait pro creation.
- 1:03:17Speaker 14: Damn.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: I should have studied harder. Dang, I don't know my
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Bible very well. And uh and yeah, we're gonna we're
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: gonna be out on a porch swing. We're gonna grow
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: hold together. I'm gonna hold his or her hand, and
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: I'm gonna say one last time, well last time, like
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: you tongue, can you put your six ft tongue by
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: six feet of intestines, just.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: To put all up in the intestines? And that's shout
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: out to geos.
- 1:03:50Speaker 16: Mom.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Geo's mom. Could you please write the podcast five stars?
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: That would be great, mean a lot.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Okay, I still can't make the decision because I'm simply
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: not aroused enough.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: And how am I not, you know, like a little
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: tongue in ass.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Well, that's not what you said, though, that's true.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: What if what if I said?
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Okay, we have one more hear me out from the
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: person who has just been introduced to the concept of
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Pokemon today, Emie, are you ready to select your character?
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: Yes?
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: I wonder what?
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: No? No, And just before we get started, would you
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: like to guess the name of that character?
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I would love to, uh, wispy lizard?
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: Right, kind of the wispy type?
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Why type? It's a whispy.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Okay, EMILYA one minute of hear me out for that
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: character begins.
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: Now, all right, hear me out thick thighs right, dead
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: ass dough. We're getting married. I'm doing all three three.
- 1:05:37Speaker 9: I'm uh marrying him because he's very stable.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: He's got.
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: A lot of things coming out of his head, which
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: only means he's smart.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: He's got a big brain. He's got like five brains. Okay,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: and then.
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm talking him man like, come on, Like, he's
- 1:06:07Speaker 9: got little arms. But I don't need arms to go
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: the whole way around. No, I just need them to
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: play a little bit. And that's why.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Excellent stuff. Give it up for Emily but sexually objectifying
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: a Pokemon that she has no idea what it is.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: It's a whispy lizard.
- 1:06:30Speaker 10: It's a whispy lizard.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: Anyone in the audience know what pokemon that is good drug?
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: Goudro poisons dragon. It's a dragon.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Sorry, man, I gave it away. That was okay, okay, okay,
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: I'm gonna head out some points for this now. I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: gonna rank you five four three two. Geo, I'm giving
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: you two points. I don't like what. I don't like
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: that you address that to your mother.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: It's bad enough that we're up here joking about best reality,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: but you brought incessant.
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: Oh man, I'm never gonna let this down.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go three points to Audra because
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Audra chose the easy option. I think I think you pick,
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: you pick the human character. Come on, it's Casey's fault.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Three points for Audra. Casey, We're gonna go four points,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: given your.
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: Point because Casey would fuck professor.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Oh no, Kase, you can have a point. Give Casey
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: a point.
- 1:07:47Speaker 10: Casey's on our team though, no he's not.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: He's got a ball, he's got beans.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: I would give four points to Ethan. It was an
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: excellent description what he would do to that mouth and eyes. True,
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: But I'm going to give five points to Emily, who
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: managed to describe for a whole minute.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: A Pokemon that she'd never even seen.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Ethan, could I could I get that screen one last time? Please?
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, we all we're all going to hell.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: He just consented.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Geo Jen Casey, what are what are those current scores?
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Heading into the final quick fire around? And I'll keep
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: talking until the max.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: So I will let you know that I have one point.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: Case is on one point, the type Pokemon are on eleven.
- 1:08:52Speaker 10: That's a number balls around thirteen.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: In the quick fire around. It can all change in
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: the quick fire around. Scores can go everywhere.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: But before we get to the quick fire around, let's
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: remind every one of the mystery prim.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: What could it be?
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Thank you for your sounds.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Okay, let's do this. It's time for the quick fire around.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: You guys, our final quick fire around. We'll test our
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: players broader pop culture knowledge, and it's called Pokemon fusion.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: Are we all familiar with the concept of fans fusing
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: Pokemon sprites together to make brand new original Pokemon.
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: Yes, okay, I don't want to brag, but my brother's
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: actually on one of the teams that does that for
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: like one of the big nice I wish we cooked
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: your brother.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: In the box to no, he doesn't hug people. It's fine.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: So this game is going to be a little bit
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: like that.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: In that I'll need you to fuse the name of
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: an original one five to one Pokemon with an answer
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: to some general knowledge that will make a fun run
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: on amalgamation of a word, a portmanteau.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, So in this game, I will give our players
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: clues to a Pokemon and something else from pop culture
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: history or just general knowledge, or some of them might
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: be rude. The answer will be a fusion of those
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: two things, and the Pokemon will always be first followed
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: by the answer.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: And you can work as a team. If one half
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: of you knows, just buzz in and say each of
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: the halves.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: It's quick fire, So buzz in by yelling out your
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: team name. Let's practice that now beans beans, it's beans
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: versus balls. So, for example, if I said this fish
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: Pokemon seizes the day by evolving into the pe yes
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: ethan magic. It is magic, that's what it would be.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: You can interrupt me at any points. Are we already?
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: Yes?
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: All right, yes, I'll start the timer.
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: This common mouse Pokemon can be seen swinging through the

- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Give Casey a point.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: This fan favorite Pokemon can evolve into many different forms,

- 1:13:02Speaker 2: This aquatic bird Pokemon always has a headache, especially when

- 1:13:11Speaker 10: Side Duck Duck goose It's side.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: This gluttonous Pokemon eats nine hundred pounds of food in
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: a day, which is why in order to properly take
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: a ship, it needs to consume a hole. This jellyfish
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: like Pokemon is actually a credited writer on Taylor Swift's
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: most stream song on Spotify. It's also a lover not
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: a fighter, despite its name, no swifties on the panel.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: Casey, I think I know the Pokemon tend to cool
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: something something.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: Wow, I'm the more stream song in the world.

- 1:20:41Speaker 3: Thank you and good night.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: And there it was a Pokemon Live episode, our third
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Pokemon episode ever. We did it once as a studio,
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: once live stream, and then live in front of a wonderful,
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: rowdy audience.
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: That was so much fun.

- 1:21:10Speaker 2: the video version of that. I promise it is so
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: worth it. We've even added graphics so that there's no
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: more reading off a whiteboard. That I that I hold
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: up is looking a touch more professional, guys, Just a touch, though,
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: and you can see all of our video episodes by
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: supporting us for just three fifty a month, the price
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: of a cup of coffee like a reasonably priced coffee
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: shop as well. But there are a bunch of wonderful
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: folks who support us at the eleven dollars. Games Master Tia,
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: if you would like to hear your name with a
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: special shout out at the end of every pandemonium, consider
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: becoming a games master like Ash and Adam who are
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: definitely fire type Pokemon. They ignite a fire in me.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: You can take that any way you want. Aaron Randolph, well,
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: I don't think Aaron himself is a grass type Pokemon,
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: but he spends enough time with those lovable stoners over
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: at BFYTW that I think he'd be part of a
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: grass type evolution. Derek and Taylor, thank you so much.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: You are, of course psychic type Pokemon. You see right
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: through me, and quite frankly, it's terrifying. Just In DoD Burg,
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: I mean, look, I know how that name is formed,
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: so you've got to be a fighting type Pokemon.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: Dot Burg, DoD Burg, I think you're going to like
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: our next live show. Kristin Farley.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: I think Kristin Farley is a lightning type Pokemon Electricity.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: She's always giving so much energy to the people around her.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: She's amazing. And of course Troy Davidson. I don't know
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: what type Troy is, but he's definitely not an ice type.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: He is not an ice type. He's actually strong against
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: ice type Pokemon because I'm just talking about Pokemon. Thank
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: you so much to all of our wonderful executive producers.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: This show, with all of its bells and whistles. It
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: couldn't happen without you, guys, so thank you so much.
