- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Almost Famous Podcast. We are out here
- 0:08Speaker 2: right now in San Francisco, California. What we're doing this
- 0:12Speaker 2: weekend is something really exciting. We've brought some of our
- 0:14Speaker 2: favorites from Bacheloration, people we know and people we don't know,
- 0:18Speaker 2: into one little world, one little bubble, to spend the
- 0:21Speaker 2: weekend together.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Why.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Well, because we want to get to know them better.
- 0:24Speaker 2: We're ass gonna be playing golf. There will be a
- 0:26Speaker 2: champion crown the best golfer right now in Bachelor Nation.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Wells Adams didn't show up, so I'm hoping to take
- 0:32Speaker 2: that title. Being nowhere to be seen. They're scared, they're nervous.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm here, I show up and I play. So we'll
- 0:40Speaker 2: give you updates on the golf match. We'll also give
- 0:43Speaker 2: you updates on the lives of those who you're most

- 0:49Speaker 2: We can't wait to share it all with you here
- 0:51Speaker 2: at the Almost Famous Podcast. And today is one of
- 0:54Speaker 2: my personally most anticipated conversations I've had. I'm with Daisy.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Hello now, Daisy, We're gonna start this podcast. I've thought
- 1:06Speaker 2: about many ways to start this conversation. First off, Hello, Hi,
- 1:10Speaker 2: nice to meet you in person.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It's nice to meet you in person.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I just interviewed Jason Mesnik last week and his wife Molly.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah, and they said you went over to their house.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Yeah, they were awesome, and they said.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It was one of the best nights they've had in
- 1:26Speaker 2: a long time. It wasn't fun for you, It.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Was so fun. We had the best time and they
- 1:31Speaker 4: were both just like me, and Charity and Kelsey were
- 1:34Speaker 4: there and they were all supportive and their daughters. She's
- 1:37Speaker 4: so cute, big.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Fan, so it has to be cool to like see
- 1:41Speaker 2: an alumni who has a daughter who's also a big
- 1:43Speaker 2: fan of the show. And Kelsey were like, what, Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 2: your parents are pretty slight, like they're legendary. And they
- 1:51Speaker 2: also said that your name represents your personality. Was that
- 1:55Speaker 2: on purpose? You think that Daisy was the name that
- 1:59Speaker 2: your parents gave you?
- 2:00Speaker 4: Honestly, my dad now he's like, you're welcome for naming
- 2:03Speaker 4: you Daisy because of all the days.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but good boy, I haven't thought about that yet.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You're like, I've made some money, Dad, thanks for the name.
- 2:13Speaker 4: My Dad's like, you're welcome, uh huh, but no. It's funny.
- 2:17Speaker 4: When I was actually born, my parents had a deal
- 2:20Speaker 4: that my dad would name all the girls and my
- 2:22Speaker 4: mom would name all the boys they had, and like,
- 2:25Speaker 4: they always agreed on a name. And when I was born,
- 2:27Speaker 4: my dad said, she's Daisy, and I was like no,
- 2:31Speaker 4: And my dad's such a pushover when it comes to
- 2:33Speaker 4: my mom. And my mom was like, no, it's not Daisy.
- 2:36Speaker 4: And then a week later she was like, yeah, it's Daisy.
- 2:39Speaker 4: She's a daisy.
- 2:40Speaker 3: It fits you so well.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Now, it's not easy in today's world of the Bachelor
- 2:45Speaker 2: to make a name for yourself because and I think
- 2:47Speaker 2: one of the only reasons for that is because the
- 2:49Speaker 2: show's been around now for so long, it has such
- 2:51Speaker 2: a good track record, and you, I think, have kind
- 2:55Speaker 2: of came out of not nowhere, but you've really like
- 2:59Speaker 2: made a name for yourself in the midst of so
- 3:01Speaker 2: many other people coming before you.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, what do you think's made you most.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Relatable, like with the audience because people love you, Daisy,
- 3:11Speaker 2: thank you.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I don't know. I think the thing I just always
- 3:16Speaker 4: really tried to be myself and I think the time
- 3:19Speaker 4: I was on the show. I was going through something
- 3:21Speaker 4: really interesting and I was still like learning how to hear.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It was the first time in my life where I
- 3:26Speaker 4: was genuinely like happy, and I hadn't been happy probably
- 3:30Speaker 4: since I was like seventeen, and it was it was
- 3:34Speaker 4: just a really like like four months before that, I
- 3:38Speaker 4: had like a lot of like I got my cochlear
- 3:41Speaker 4: implant and everything was changing and it was a really
- 3:43Speaker 4: life changing time for me. And I remember talking to
- 3:46Speaker 4: my parents and my siblings before I went on the
- 3:47Speaker 4: show because they had seen me in really really dark
- 3:50Speaker 4: times and they were like, are you like my little brother?
- 3:56Speaker 4: He was so sweet about it. He's like, I just don't.
- 3:58Speaker 4: He was nervous about me doing it because he was like,
- 4:00Speaker 4: I don't want anything to like affect you because you're
- 4:02Speaker 4: so happy right now. And I think it was just
- 4:04Speaker 4: such like a pivotal time in my life, and so
- 4:08Speaker 4: I think that's kind of why too, Like it was
- 4:11Speaker 4: a huge change for me. And I also think I
- 4:17Speaker 4: had like some of the producers I were with were amazing,
- 4:22Speaker 4: and they were really helping me like lean into like
- 4:24Speaker 4: who I was and helping me like just really like
- 4:30Speaker 4: be They were always trying to like help me, like
- 4:34Speaker 4: show who I was, you know, and it was I
- 4:36Speaker 4: don't know, it was just I have such a good
- 4:38Speaker 4: relationship with everyone from the show, and it was Yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 4: it was just a life changing thing for me.
- 4:46Speaker 2: The relatability, I do think, and that joy that you exude. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: but just for clarity, because I've heard you say this
- 4:53Speaker 2: before that season of your life, you're in a really
- 4:55Speaker 2: good place.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Were you in a really good place when you stepped
- 4:58Speaker 2: out of the limo walking up to the mansion or
- 5:01Speaker 2: did the show like help like kind of push you
- 5:05Speaker 2: into an even better place.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I was in a really good place before I stepped
- 5:09Speaker 4: out of the limo. I was like, you know what,
- 5:12Speaker 4: it was a thing where I was like, it's when
- 5:15Speaker 4: I was stepping out of a limo. I wouldn't have
- 5:17Speaker 4: done it if I knew that it could hurt me
- 5:20Speaker 4: in a way. And I remember talking to my dad
- 5:22Speaker 4: and my mom and they were like, you know what,
- 5:24Speaker 4: they were like, everything you've been through. I was like, yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 4: I literally lost my hair and I was like, nothing
- 5:30Speaker 4: can hurt me worse than that. That's what that was
- 5:32Speaker 4: my thought process. And I was there and it was
- 5:35Speaker 4: just such a good experience. I also hadn't made friends
- 5:38Speaker 4: in a really long time besides the people that I knew,
- 5:40Speaker 4: because it was I couldn't communicate really with anyone besides
- 5:43Speaker 4: I knew like the people I knew already. So but
- 5:47Speaker 4: it definitely like being on the show, it amplified, like
- 5:51Speaker 4: my confidence and made me my life was The last
- 5:57Speaker 4: four months before the show were really amazing, but after
- 6:00Speaker 4: being on the show and being on the show, it
- 6:02Speaker 4: just kept getting better and better, and it definitely changed
- 6:05Speaker 4: my life in the most positive way.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It's so crazy that you, in the midst of this
- 6:11Speaker 2: like season of life, said I'm going to go on
- 6:14Speaker 2: this reality television show no matter what show it is,
- 6:17Speaker 2: and it's not gonna like it's it's just going to
- 6:20Speaker 2: be good. Yeah, Like and I okay, So I want
- 6:22Speaker 2: to try to like make that into a piece of
- 6:24Speaker 2: advice for the listeners. A listeners out there. They're feeling great,
- 6:30Speaker 2: they're trying to take a risk in life. They're trying
- 6:32Speaker 2: to say yes to something, do something new, do something
- 6:34Speaker 2: like to create a story. Yeah, they don't exactly know
- 6:37Speaker 2: what that story is going to look like, no, but
- 6:39Speaker 2: they're willing to walk into it. What mindset or like
- 6:42Speaker 2: what attitude do they need to have to not only
- 6:45Speaker 2: say yes to it, but then to go into it
- 6:47Speaker 2: and make something good out of it, like you did.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I think I'm a huge person. I've always been. Everything
- 6:52Speaker 4: happens for a reason, and my parents were always pushing
- 6:55Speaker 4: me towards faith and like spirituality and just leaning into
- 6:59Speaker 4: things and experience says and I like one it was
- 7:03Speaker 4: a once in a lifetime experience. But I think sometimes
- 7:07Speaker 4: I remember being Now I'm like backtracking, but I remember
- 7:09Speaker 4: being in college freshman year and it was one of
- 7:12Speaker 4: my first classes and my communications teacher it was like
- 7:16Speaker 4: the class every freshman has to take and you're sitting
- 7:19Speaker 4: there and he was like, you know, the world favors
- 7:21Speaker 4: the bold. And I remember him saying that and people
- 7:24Speaker 4: were like starting getting up to leave, and he was
- 7:26Speaker 4: like no, no, no, everyone sit down. He was like,
- 7:28Speaker 4: the world favors the bold, like go be the lie
- 7:30Speaker 4: and be bold, and it just like stuck with me,
- 7:33Speaker 4: and I was like, you know, I went. I just
- 7:38Speaker 4: feel like I went through something like really life changing
- 7:41Speaker 4: all my health stuff and then how everything happened. I
- 7:46Speaker 4: got asked to come on The Bachelor. Did the Bachelor,
- 7:48Speaker 4: how everything worked out and my life has completely changed.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Like looking at my life a year ago, I'm like,
- 7:52Speaker 4: it was nothing like it was now, but it's also
- 7:56Speaker 4: so much the same. But I just think you have
- 7:59Speaker 4: to into what comes your way. I think if it's
- 8:03Speaker 4: meant to be, it'll come to you. And I think
- 8:05Speaker 4: that's what happened to me. And I think I have
- 8:07Speaker 4: a really strong faith, really strong like spirituality, and I
- 8:11Speaker 4: don't know, it was just the last year has been crazy,
- 8:16Speaker 4: but it's like I'm like happy for no reason. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 4: And I never there was a point in my life
- 8:20Speaker 4: where I was like, I'm never going to be happy again.
- 8:23Speaker 2: What that's I mean that right, there is something one
- 8:28Speaker 2: that we should celebrate. I think it's humans, Like when
- 8:30Speaker 2: another human looks at you and says, hey, there's a
- 8:32Speaker 2: season in my life that I never thought I was
- 8:33Speaker 2: gonna be happy again. And now I sit here and
- 8:35Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, thriving, Like that's something I want to
- 8:38Speaker 2: like look at you and be like that's incredible.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Yeah. And it's like crazy because when you're going through
- 8:42Speaker 4: it and it's so dark, you don't understand it. And
- 8:45Speaker 4: I was sitting with my mom and my two younger
- 8:47Speaker 4: siblings the other day, and I was like, I I
- 8:50Speaker 4: was like, this is like my life's always going to
- 8:53Speaker 4: be like this, and I just have to accept it
- 8:54Speaker 4: and like live for like the people that I love
- 8:58Speaker 4: because I'm never going to be happy. So I'm I'm
- 9:00Speaker 4: just gonna live for the people that I love, and
- 9:01Speaker 4: that's what I was doing. And then now I like realize, okay,
- 9:04Speaker 4: like I can be happy too.
- 9:17Speaker 2: There's an interesting crossover here. One of my favorite like
- 9:21Speaker 2: poems or stories is written by a guy named John
- 9:25Speaker 2: of the Cross, and it's called The Dark Knight of
- 9:26Speaker 2: the Soul. Dark Knight of the Soul is like literally
- 9:28Speaker 2: the Dark Knight of the Soul, like when your life
- 9:30Speaker 2: feels like it's at rock bottom, like nothing good can
- 9:33Speaker 2: come from it, that you are walking through like the
- 9:35Speaker 2: Valley of the Shadow of Death and everything around you
- 9:38Speaker 2: is just haunting you. But then ultimately you come out
- 9:41Speaker 2: on the other side. And the lesson on the other
- 9:43Speaker 2: side that a lot of people take from that story
- 9:46Speaker 2: and I take from that story is I want to
- 9:48Speaker 2: learn from people like you, like I don't want to
- 9:50Speaker 2: hear and learn from people who just like have like
- 9:52Speaker 2: row on the clouds their whole life. I want to
- 9:55Speaker 2: learn from people who have like been through it, who
- 9:58Speaker 2: come out the other side with wisdom. And so my
- 10:00Speaker 2: question for you in that is what wisdom now have
- 10:03Speaker 2: you learned? Obviously you sit in a different place today.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It has been a year, right, You're removed. The show
- 10:08Speaker 2: is no longer like a part of your like active identity,
- 10:11Speaker 2: even though people know you from it.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Your life has moved on from it.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, And so what wisdom do you have to share
- 10:18Speaker 2: in life now in general about what does it look
- 10:20Speaker 2: like to go through that valley and come out the
- 10:22Speaker 2: other side.
- 10:24Speaker 4: I don't know, it's just like everything's like really just
- 10:27Speaker 4: changed so much. It's just like I'm happy now. But
- 10:30Speaker 4: I would just say, like keep going. And when you're
- 10:34Speaker 4: at that like low place. I remember someone told me.
- 10:38Speaker 4: They were like I was like, I don't want to
- 10:40Speaker 4: move forward anymore, and they were like, just take it
- 10:42Speaker 4: one more day. I was like what, And they were like,
- 10:45Speaker 4: just take it one more day and then tomorrow I'll
- 10:47Speaker 4: just take it one more day, Like you don't have to, like,
- 10:49Speaker 4: it's fine if you don't see like the shiny thing
- 10:51Speaker 4: at the end, just take it one more day. And
- 10:55Speaker 4: so I was like, Okay, I'm just gonna keep pushing
- 10:57Speaker 4: for like one more day and get there. But it's
- 11:01Speaker 4: crazy too because like all my siblings and like my parents,
- 11:04Speaker 4: they get all emotional about it because seeing I don't know,
- 11:08Speaker 4: it's just it's crazy how you can be so low
- 11:11Speaker 4: and then your life can change and like something like
- 11:13Speaker 4: this happened to me and now I'm here, Yeah, which is.
- 11:18Speaker 3: The best gift in the world.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Right, So you've always dreamed of when you're at your
- 11:22Speaker 2: lowest point, You're like, I hope one day I'm sitting
- 11:24Speaker 2: in the garage talking to that would be pinnacle.
- 11:29Speaker 3: That's what I'm reaching for.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But seriously, I mean it's something and I don't like
- 11:34Speaker 2: say that lightly. It's like it's something we should all
- 11:36Speaker 2: look at you and just be like, I'm not proud
- 11:38Speaker 2: of you, because that makes it sound like I'm looking down.
- 11:40Speaker 2: It's just like I'm celebrating you, Like that's so cool
- 11:42Speaker 2: and I want to learn from you.
- 11:43Speaker 4: But it's like it's interesting too, because like I've met
- 11:45Speaker 4: so many people like I went to. This was like
- 11:49Speaker 4: a really eye opening thing for me. After the show,
- 11:52Speaker 4: I went to Ashley and Jared's coffee shop and did
- 11:55Speaker 4: like a book signing and meet and greet, and there
- 11:57Speaker 4: were people coming up to me and it was like
- 12:00Speaker 4: a younger girl with like a glass eye, and there
- 12:02Speaker 4: were people like a girl who had down syndrome, like
- 12:06Speaker 4: coming up to me and they like related to me
- 12:08Speaker 4: in a different way. And it was the first time
- 12:10Speaker 4: I was like WHOA. I was like, it's like we
- 12:14Speaker 4: have like our different like hard things that we've been through,
- 12:18Speaker 4: but I'm like it's so similar in a way, because
- 12:21Speaker 4: like everybody goes through hard things. And I think the
- 12:23Speaker 4: thing this show really made me realize too is sitting
- 12:26Speaker 4: in the group of girls that I was in and
- 12:28Speaker 4: all of literally the whole cast on my season had
- 12:33Speaker 4: like such incredible stories of things they had like overcome,
- 12:36Speaker 4: and I was like, whoa, I'm not the only one
- 12:37Speaker 4: who has been through things, and just kind of opened
- 12:40Speaker 4: my eyes to see like you don't really know somebody
- 12:43Speaker 4: until you sit down and have a whole conversation with them.
- 12:46Speaker 4: And like social media, like you see what people want
- 12:49Speaker 4: to put on social media too, But I think that's
- 12:51Speaker 4: what's so important, is like showing like the other side too.
- 12:54Speaker 4: But it just really opened my eyes. I'm like, everybody
- 12:56Speaker 4: goes through things, even though they might seem so different.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Some people might think it seems smaller. I'm like, it's
- 13:03Speaker 4: not smaller. I'm like, you still go through that.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Can you imagine being that person that feels so much
- 13:10Speaker 2: like an outsider and they tune into your season of
- 13:13Speaker 2: the Bachelor and they see you on there and they're like,
- 13:17Speaker 2: that's somebody that can really relate with and they're crushing
- 13:20Speaker 2: it and joy filled and they're doing this thing. And
- 13:24Speaker 2: now I feel like I can do the same thing. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: for you, millions of people watch that show.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think it's an I was so crazy.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I was like, they like me, and they're.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Looking up to you and they're relating with you, and
- 13:36Speaker 2: that's a beautiful thing for you to be inspired by.
- 13:39Speaker 2: But it's also setting a whole new chapter in your life.
- 13:42Speaker 2: And that's what I want to talk about now, is
- 13:44Speaker 2: your life does not look the same as it did
- 13:46Speaker 2: back then.
- 13:47Speaker 3: So give us some updates.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You obviously came out with the book, You've obviously, you know, romantically,
- 13:52Speaker 2: have been exploring other things in life, like where does
- 13:56Speaker 2: life look now? Not a year yet, but close to
- 13:59Speaker 2: a year removed from the show.
- 14:01Speaker 4: It's it's so cool because I've had so many like
- 14:04Speaker 4: crazy opportunities that I didn't think would happen, but they've
- 14:09Speaker 4: been so it's all been like positive is the way
- 14:12Speaker 4: to describe it. And everyone asked me about like how,
- 14:16Speaker 4: like how's the show? How's everything? I'm like, everything that
- 14:19Speaker 4: has happened from it has been so positive to me.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Of course, like you have your like divids and bad moments,
- 14:25Speaker 4: like I remember talking to you on the phone and
- 14:27Speaker 4: I was like, Okay, I was like, I'm kind of struggling.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Everyone's talking about me online. But it's like, but a
- 14:33Speaker 4: year from the show, I like look back and never
- 14:36Speaker 4: could if I imagined that any of this would have
- 14:39Speaker 4: come from it. And now I get to work with
- 14:42Speaker 4: brands I never like thought I would work with, and
- 14:45Speaker 4: now like my social media is a way for me
- 14:51Speaker 4: to like help myself and help my family and other people.
- 14:54Speaker 4: And I'm it's it's like it's the coolest thing ever.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So the book too, Yeah, you got to mention the
- 15:04Speaker 3: book here.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Now, the book. The book's been one of my favorite things.
- 15:08Speaker 3: What's the name? Where can people find it?
- 15:10Speaker 4: Daisy do all the sound she knew on Amazon, But
- 15:14Speaker 4: that's been one of my do all the sounds she
- 15:17Speaker 4: knew on Amazon. Yeah, And that's been my favorite thing
- 15:22Speaker 4: is I get pictures from parents of their kids reading
- 15:24Speaker 4: it about cochlear implants or hearing aids, and I go
- 15:28Speaker 4: into schools. I've gone into a lot in Minnesota, and
- 15:31Speaker 4: I like read younger kids my book and they're also
- 15:34Speaker 4: fascinated about my cochlear implant and fascinated about hearing. And
- 15:37Speaker 4: then usually there's like one or two kids who have it,
- 15:41Speaker 4: and so like they come up and like sit by
- 15:44Speaker 4: me and we'll talk about it, and I'm like, this
- 15:46Speaker 4: is like a moment for them. I'm like, it's not
- 15:47Speaker 4: about me, it's about them. And then all the kids
- 15:50Speaker 4: are talking to them and making them feel more included,
- 15:52Speaker 4: and I'm like, that's what it's about, because sometimes you
- 15:54Speaker 4: see something that makes you feel different. Because it made
- 15:58Speaker 4: me feel so different, and I was like the book
- 16:02Speaker 4: has been like a way I feel like for me
- 16:05Speaker 4: to help bridge that gap, which has been so rewarding,
- 16:08Speaker 4: and so it's like that's what I want to do,
- 16:11Speaker 4: Like I want to help. You know, everyone has something
- 16:15Speaker 4: that makes them different, although some people have something that
- 16:17Speaker 4: makes them visibly different. And I feel like when you're
- 16:20Speaker 4: a little kid, sometimes you get judged or growing up
- 16:23Speaker 4: going through middle school, high school, even people can be
- 16:26Speaker 4: negative and be mean to you. And so I feel
- 16:29Speaker 4: like if they're exposed to at a younger age and
- 16:32Speaker 4: think it's like me sitting in front of them talking
- 16:35Speaker 4: about and be like, oh, like I'm an adult, I
- 16:37Speaker 4: have it, They're all so interested and they want to
- 16:39Speaker 4: touch it and feel the magnet and then they're talking
- 16:42Speaker 4: to all their friends. So yeah, that's and I feel
- 16:47Speaker 4: like I feel like I light up when I talk
- 16:49Speaker 4: about it, something like that's what I know. Like if
- 16:52Speaker 4: anything came from the show or anything, it was that
- 16:55Speaker 4: and the fact that I can help other kids feel
- 16:58Speaker 4: like they're more not or just feel like I feel
- 17:03Speaker 4: like what makes them different can make them special and
- 17:07Speaker 4: like the best way.
- 17:09Speaker 2: So in like more like spiritual world, we call that
- 17:13Speaker 2: a calling. In other worlds that just like you would
- 17:16Speaker 2: call it like this amazing opportunity, I would call it
- 17:19Speaker 2: your calling because you do light up like there's something
- 17:21Speaker 2: that is emotionally different about you when you talk about that,
- 17:25Speaker 2: And you're the best type of influencer because you're influencing
- 17:30Speaker 2: these little kids.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Now, I was like with Carly on the way here.
- 17:35Speaker 4: He was one of my good friends and all my
- 17:38Speaker 4: manage with you. But I was talking to her and
- 17:40Speaker 4: I was like, I just like, I'm like, what is happening.
- 17:44Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm an influence.
- 17:46Speaker 3: You are.
- 17:47Speaker 2: You're an influence in the best way, because there'll be
- 17:49Speaker 2: a time in that little kid's life who's sitting next
- 17:51Speaker 2: to you as you're in this reading circle with little
- 17:53Speaker 2: kids and they're like, you know the moment. So I
- 17:55Speaker 2: have a story about my life, and I don't want
- 17:58Speaker 2: to make this about me, but when I was seven
- 18:00Speaker 2: years old, I have this story that changed the way
- 18:02Speaker 2: I saw people forever or saw myself because I didn't
- 18:05Speaker 2: get chosen for this like partner reading program, and it
- 18:07Speaker 2: made me feel like an outsider. And I've lived in
- 18:09Speaker 2: that world that narrative forever. Can you imagine the kid
- 18:13Speaker 2: who's sitting next to you up there and say, no,
- 18:15Speaker 2: that's my story.
- 18:16Speaker 4: No.
- 18:16Speaker 3: It changed the.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Way I saw myself forever because I saw myself a
- 18:19Speaker 2: part of the group. Yeah, because this person who was
- 18:22Speaker 2: on TV, who everybody loves and looked up to and
- 18:25Speaker 2: was so excited to see, also has the same thing
- 18:27Speaker 2: as me. Yeah, And now I'm not a part of
- 18:30Speaker 2: the outside group. I'm now like the cool kid that
- 18:32Speaker 2: everybody's asking about, like what this thing is on my head?
- 18:35Speaker 3: And like they're attracted to me.
- 18:37Speaker 2: They're asking me questions about myself, like you changed a
- 18:40Speaker 2: life like forever, Like how cool is that?
- 18:43Speaker 4: That's really cool? And it's like I'm like what.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Because this crazy show.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy, but I think it's like everything happens
- 18:55Speaker 4: for a reason, And I think me being on the
- 18:58Speaker 4: show was kind of like at the end of the day,
- 19:02Speaker 4: Now I look back at it and I'm like, it
- 19:04Speaker 4: wasn't for me to find love. I think it was
- 19:06Speaker 4: for me, Like, it wasn't for me to find love.
- 19:11Speaker 4: For me, it was a bigger purpose than that for me,
- 19:14Speaker 4: and it was for me to like help other people
- 19:16Speaker 4: and inspire them in a way. And like, looking back,
- 19:18Speaker 4: I'm like it was one of the best experiences of
- 19:22Speaker 4: my life. And I think I don't know, like it's
- 19:27Speaker 4: just I can't be more grateful for it and more
- 19:30Speaker 4: positive about it because it was awesome.
- 19:33Speaker 3: So I'm closing here.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, when you got off the show, you and I
- 19:37Speaker 2: did talk, Yeah, and it felt like at that point
- 19:39Speaker 2: in time, the world was swirling around you very quickly. Oh,
- 19:43Speaker 2: for sure, you're trying to make sense of it all.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you didn't know.
- 19:46Speaker 2: What was next, you know, it was just a good
- 19:49Speaker 2: conversation with you about you know, what was next? How
- 19:53Speaker 2: do you make the most of this? Or how do
- 19:55Speaker 2: I even walk through this thing? Well, but that was
- 19:57Speaker 2: also in the heat of the show. The show hasn't
- 19:59Speaker 2: hadn't been done yet. Yeah, so now you're on the
- 20:03Speaker 2: other side. Yeah, have those questions been answered that you
- 20:07Speaker 2: were asking back then about what's next and what does
- 20:10Speaker 2: life look like?
- 20:11Speaker 3: Or are they still yet to be seen?
- 20:14Speaker 4: I think there's like so much that I still kind
- 20:17Speaker 4: of feel like I'm in that like whirlwind, like what
- 20:19Speaker 4: is going on half the time. But also I do
- 20:21Speaker 4: think back to our conversation a lot, and I think
- 20:24Speaker 4: about what you told me, and You're like, I was
- 20:28Speaker 4: in this world and you were kind of like relating
- 20:31Speaker 4: back to me how like I felt like you felt
- 20:34Speaker 4: similar to And then I remember you telling me I
- 20:37Speaker 4: was like, you know, how can I help other people
- 20:41Speaker 4: with this process? Like how can I take this and
- 20:44Speaker 4: turn it to help other people? And I was like, Okay,
- 20:47Speaker 4: that's how I want to look at look at it,
- 20:49Speaker 4: and so a lot of the things like I've done
- 20:52Speaker 4: from now it's like stemming off that, and I'm like,
- 20:54Speaker 4: how can I help other people? How can I use this?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Maybe I'm working with a brand, but how can I
- 21:01Speaker 4: work with that brand and help like impact other people?
- 21:05Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 21:06Speaker 3: So it's like makes it so much more fun.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes it so much more fun. It's like
- 21:10Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not just doing things to do things,
- 21:14Speaker 4: like I feel like there's a purpose behind it. And
- 21:16Speaker 4: it's cool because now I can look back at everything
- 21:18Speaker 4: I went through and I'm like, you know, as much
- 21:22Speaker 4: as it did suck, I will say inside, but I
- 21:25Speaker 4: can look at it and find purpose, which is something
- 21:30Speaker 4: that I never thought I would find. And it's been
- 21:34Speaker 4: the most beautiful and rewarding thing in my life and
- 21:36Speaker 4: so cool to look back on and all my friends
- 21:40Speaker 4: that I've been friends with through all my health up
- 21:42Speaker 4: since I was younger too, and even all the girlfriends
- 21:44Speaker 4: I made on the show. It's like, I don't know,
- 21:49Speaker 4: it's just it's changed my life.
- 21:50Speaker 3: And yeah, yeah, you're doing it well, you're doing it right.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 21:57Speaker 2: You're a world changer. We're glad to have you. Part

- 22:02Speaker 4: Thank you very.
- 22:04Speaker 2: It's just really fun to watch, like there's no even
- 22:08Speaker 2: after that conversation that we had, there is no like
- 22:11Speaker 2: question or doubts, are like advice really that I had
- 22:15Speaker 2: to give other than just like I'm excited to watch
- 22:17Speaker 2: you do this thing and you've done it so well
- 22:20Speaker 2: and it's been really fun to see. So keep changing
