Two beloved North Texas animal rescues, DFW Pug Rescue and DFW Beagle Buddies, are shutting down — a major setback for breed-specific adoption efforts. DFW Beagle Buddies, which saved over 600 beagles in 15 years, and DFW Pug Rescue, one of the nation’s largest pug rescues since 1996, cite soaring medical costs and increasing senior dog cases as key reasons.
