- 2:32Speaker 4: State Republican Party Tony Hodge. Tony is not really here
- 2:36Speaker 4: in his role with the State Party, although I'm going
- 2:38Speaker 4: to start by asking him some questions about some State
- 2:41Speaker 4: party business Tony. Then Tony and I are going to go
- 2:44Speaker 4: off into a totally different direction this morning. Welcome to
- 2:48Speaker 4: the show, sir.
- 2:48Speaker 3: How are you good morning? I'm great. It's good to
- 2:50Speaker 3: be back on It's been a little while, but I'm
- 2:53Speaker 3: kind of lamenting the end of summer. So you know,
- 2:56Speaker 3: school's getting back started, which is it's a good time
- 2:59Speaker 3: of year, But man, I love summertime. I love family
- 3:01Speaker 3: vacation doing all this fun.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Because you're oosusly for Nicholas.
- 3:04Speaker 3: County, right I am originally, and I mean it snows
- 3:07Speaker 3: there in June, right, Yeah, it does get a lot
- 3:09Speaker 3: of snow, but with the short summers up in that area,
- 3:12Speaker 3: they pack it in hard over there, because you know,
- 3:15Speaker 3: you got the lake and the rock climbing and all
- 3:17Speaker 3: the parks up there, so that's a fun area to
- 3:20Speaker 3: be in. But we're down here now in Putnam County, which,
- 3:22Speaker 3: by the way, driving in this morning, you talked about
- 3:24Speaker 3: a little bit of rain. I also noticed driving into
- 3:27Speaker 3: the city that our Roads to Prosperity project is almost complete,
- 3:31Speaker 3: so hopefully we can get over here to Charleston without
- 3:34Speaker 3: all those backups.
- 3:34Speaker 4: And it's actually moving ahead of schedule, they say by October,
- 3:38Speaker 4: because we not good news for the farmers. We've had
- 3:41Speaker 4: basically no rain, you know, this summer in West Virginia,
- 3:45Speaker 4: but it has allowed them to speed things up a
- 3:48Speaker 4: little bit, no pun intended. So it does look like
- 3:49Speaker 4: it's going to be open completely six lanes by I
- 3:53Speaker 4: guess by some point late October.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that'll be the first time I moved to Putnham
- 3:57Speaker 3: County a little over twenty years ago. Be the first
- 4:00Speaker 3: time ever that we've had a full completed six lane
- 4:04Speaker 3: highway from from out that way to downtown Charleston. So
- 4:07Speaker 3: this gonna be really nice.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Before we get into the discussion of why I wanted
- 4:11Speaker 4: to have you here, of course, the big news is
- 4:13Speaker 4: the Democratic National Convention is kicking off here soon in Chicago.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I'm sure you and the state GOP will be watching
- 4:20Speaker 4: with interest.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I mean I may turn it on from time to time.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I mean, I've got better things to do than watch
- 4:27Speaker 3: a bunch of Democrats get on TV and talk about
- 4:28Speaker 3: sterilization and abortion. So but you know, that's kind of
- 4:32Speaker 3: what they've made this campaign about. You know, we've all
- 4:35Speaker 3: seen the reports this weekend, or those of us who've
- 4:37Speaker 3: paid attention have seen the reports this weekend that they've
- 4:39Speaker 3: set up centers outside of the DNC in Chicago to
- 4:43Speaker 3: offer sterilization to men and abortion to women, which is,
- 4:47Speaker 3: you know, for free. And I just think it's a
- 4:49Speaker 3: it's just, you know, one of the adjectives we've heard
- 4:52Speaker 3: this this election cycle is weird. And that's how I
- 4:55Speaker 3: would describe that. It's weird. And it's sad, it's unfortunate,
- 5:00Speaker 3: but the Democratic Party has turned into something that John F.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Kennedy and people of that generation just would not understand
- 5:06Speaker 3: or get really. You know, in a time when Bill
- 5:08Speaker 3: Clinton said to the abortion should be safe, legal, and rare,
- 5:12Speaker 3: to where now the Democratic Parties say in abortion should
- 5:15Speaker 3: be shoutou from the rooftop, shout abortion. Let's sterilize all
- 5:18Speaker 3: the men. It's a culture of sterilization and death. And
- 5:22Speaker 3: I think ultimately the majority of American people are going
- 5:25Speaker 3: to look at that and frown upon it.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Well, you know, I watched a lot of the news
- 5:29Speaker 4: shows yesterday and they were talking about Kamala Harris, and
- 5:32Speaker 4: you know, one of the things is is Tony is
- 5:35Speaker 4: this is going to come down to the economy and
- 5:38Speaker 4: the border. Those are two of the major things that
- 5:40Speaker 4: you mentioned. Abortion that's in there too, but the economy
- 5:44Speaker 4: and abortion. And there's a lot of questions. People have
- 5:46Speaker 4: a vice president Harris. Now, I don't know exactly how
- 5:50Speaker 4: much control of the economy that you have as a
- 5:52Speaker 4: vice president. I'm not really sure what a vice president does.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Although she was the borders are so to speak, and
- 5:57Speaker 4: it's a mess.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Well, she you know the price president does have does have.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I mean, she's part of the administration, she is in office,
- 6:05Speaker 3: she is a public office holder. She's at the second
- 6:07Speaker 3: place of our entire hierarchy in our country, so she
- 6:10Speaker 3: does have a say. But I think you're right. I
- 6:12Speaker 3: think the economy and the border are things that the
- 6:16Speaker 3: normal American is really concerned about. I mean, you know,
- 6:19Speaker 3: when I just talk anecdotally to friends and family, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 3: it's the economy, the price of food. And I think
- 6:24Speaker 3: it's funny. You know, this whole price gout.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Uh.
- 6:27Speaker 3: She wants to come up against this price gouging. What
- 6:29Speaker 3: she says, there's price gouging out here in the country
- 6:31Speaker 3: on food. She wants to come up with the with
- 6:33Speaker 3: the Soviet plan to to to be able to curtail that.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You know, this this was tried back I wasn't alive,
- 6:40Speaker 3: but during the Nixon administration I've read, you know, read
- 6:43Speaker 3: through history that it was tried back then, and it
- 6:45Speaker 3: was a disastrous failure. What it ended up doing to
- 6:48Speaker 3: the economy was it created food shortages, breadlines. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 3: when you when you take out those free market principles,
- 6:55Speaker 3: you take in centive away from market suppliers on the
- 6:58Speaker 3: grocery side, UH to supply their product and you end
- 7:01Speaker 3: up with empty shelves. So I don't know. The Harrison,
- 7:05Speaker 3: the Harris campaign, they seem to be very short on
- 7:09Speaker 3: any kind of actual policy. There's nothing out there. In fact,
- 7:12Speaker 3: let me tell you this little fact. This is interesting.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So the twenty twenty four Democratic Party platform, which they're
- 7:19Speaker 3: going to talk about right here at the DNC in Chicago,
- 7:23Speaker 3: it actually has Biden's name all throughout it. The whole
- 7:26Speaker 3: thing is connected to the Biden Harris administration, which I
- 7:28Speaker 3: think is quite embarrassing because the Harris people they don't
- 7:32Speaker 3: even have enough policy to cobble together a particular platform,
- 7:37Speaker 3: and I think their DNC rules say that they can't
- 7:39Speaker 3: make any changes ahead of this. So after they pulled
- 7:42Speaker 3: the coup on Biden to get him out of office,
- 7:45Speaker 3: now they have a platform that's rather embarrassing that refers
- 7:47Speaker 3: everything back to Biden. So really they're in disarray. But
- 7:52Speaker 3: thankfully on their side they have the national media, you know,
- 7:55Speaker 3: the left leaning bad on the national scale that kind
- 7:58Speaker 3: of bail them out and hide all these things. And
- 8:00Speaker 3: we're out here, as you know, Republican Party leaders, we
- 8:03Speaker 3: want to expose all these contradictions and the disarray that's
- 8:06Speaker 3: actually going on behind the scenes in the Democratic Party.
- 8:08Speaker 4: You referred to it as a coup. What did you
- 8:10Speaker 4: think about President Biden stepping aside? Because I will contend
- 8:14Speaker 4: that I don't think it was his choice because I
- 8:17Speaker 4: think if you listen to the speeches, the ones that
- 8:20Speaker 4: you can understand, you know, leading up to this him
- 8:24Speaker 4: stepping aside, he was kind of his heels were kind
- 8:27Speaker 4: of dug in, and then he stepped aside, and a
- 8:31Speaker 4: lot of people say, well, there was pressure put on him,
- 8:33Speaker 4: you know, other Pelosi and others came out. What did
- 8:35Speaker 4: you think about the decision.
- 8:37Speaker 3: To replace Yeah, I agree with your assessment. I think
- 8:40Speaker 3: that he was kind of dug in. I mean, think
- 8:42Speaker 3: about it from his perspective. I mean, you made it
- 8:46Speaker 3: to the pinnacle, You made it to the very top.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I mean, there's only been you know, forty some presidents
- 8:50Speaker 3: of the United States, most powerful person in the world,
- 8:53Speaker 3: and you became one of them, and you have the
- 8:56Speaker 3: opportunity to run for reelection and they start to push
- 8:59Speaker 3: you aside and say, you know you can't. It has
- 9:01Speaker 3: to be embarrassing, it really does. I know, he probably
- 9:04Speaker 3: is a person doesn't want to show it, but it's
- 9:06Speaker 3: embarrassing and that will always be in history. You know,
- 9:08Speaker 3: That'll be part of his history and his legacy. That'll
- 9:11Speaker 3: be in the history books of the Democratic Party that
- 9:13Speaker 3: they pushed their own leader out. So but I do
- 9:16Speaker 3: agree with you. I think that the pressure was so
- 9:19Speaker 3: heavy that they basically told him, look, you either go
- 9:23Speaker 3: out a loser or go out on your own terms.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Those I think we're the options given to him, and
- 9:29Speaker 3: he really had no choice. I mean, you had the
- 9:30Speaker 3: most powerful people in the Democratic Party putting pressure and
- 9:34Speaker 3: he's out now obviously. I mean, he's been a terrible president.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Inflation is the number one thing that I think of
- 9:39Speaker 3: when I think of Joe Biden and so so he
- 9:42Speaker 3: did have to go, but the way that he went
- 9:45Speaker 3: is really it's very shocking. I'm still shocked that they
- 9:48Speaker 3: were able to pull this coup off, but they did.
- 9:50Speaker 3: And you know, but we've had a lot of shocking
- 9:52Speaker 3: moments in American history, especially in recent years. So man,
- 9:56Speaker 3: it's just it's piling up.
- 9:57Speaker 4: I'll get to the TV on in the studio here
- 9:59Speaker 4: and they're showing this. This was actually yesterday the protesters
- 10:02Speaker 4: has set it upon the DNC in Chicago. It is
- 10:04Speaker 4: worth noting Tony that not everyone on the left or
- 10:07Speaker 4: that part of the Democratic Party were thrilled with the
- 10:09Speaker 4: whole thing went down with Biden, and they're not thrilled
- 10:12Speaker 4: with a lot of other things. And they're expected to
- 10:14Speaker 4: be widespread protests and as you're already seen in the
- 10:17Speaker 4: streets of Chicago, and something that I talked to you
- 10:20Speaker 4: about before the show, it's not really been reported on
- 10:22Speaker 4: a whole lot, is that they are about thirty or
- 10:24Speaker 4: so delegates to the DNC that are uncommitted to Vice
- 10:29Speaker 4: President to Kamala Harris, mainly because of her stance on Israel.
- 10:33Speaker 4: That could be somewhat problematic. But I'm going to give
- 10:36Speaker 4: you a break when I go to talk about that anymore,
- 10:38Speaker 4: because I have you here for another reason. I will
- 10:40Speaker 4: remind you that the Dave Island showing five any Live
- 10:42Speaker 4: is presented by General Hardware of Winfield and Milton and
- 10:45Speaker 4: General Number of Winfield for all projects big and small
- 10:47Speaker 4: shop locally. This is General Hardware WV dot com. All right,
- 10:50Speaker 4: So you are of course affiliated with State Republican Party,
- 10:54Speaker 4: but you recently wrote an op ed which appeared in
- 10:57Speaker 4: the Gazette Mail Saturday, August tenth, And this had nothing
- 11:01Speaker 4: to do with your role in the State GP. This
- 11:03Speaker 4: was just Tony Hodge. I referred to you last week,
- 11:05Speaker 4: just Tony Hodge, the dude in this August tenth editorial,
- 11:09Speaker 4: and it was entitled family Matters, And in it, Tony,
- 11:13Speaker 4: you talked about the American family, or in some cases,
- 11:16Speaker 4: the lack of it. Why is this such an important
- 11:19Speaker 4: topic for you?
- 11:20Speaker 3: Well, it's important to me because one of the lines
- 11:23Speaker 3: that I put about halfway through the op ed that
- 11:26Speaker 3: I sent into the Gazette mail was that the nuclear family,
- 11:29Speaker 3: and what I mean by that is a family of
- 11:31Speaker 3: a mother and a father, married in a home and
- 11:35Speaker 3: raising children together. That's what I mean by the nuclear family,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I believe, and the evidence will show. The evidence is
- 11:43Speaker 3: all around. I can even cite the statistics and the studies,
- 11:46Speaker 3: but the evidence shows that the nuclear family is the
- 11:48Speaker 3: bedrock of a stable society. And right now in America
- 11:53Speaker 3: in twenty twenty four, I see instability all around us.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I mean, we just kind of alluded to that. There's
- 11:58Speaker 3: instability in our in our economy, there's instability in our politics.
- 12:02Speaker 3: There's instability in our schools, there's instability in law, there's
- 12:06Speaker 3: instability and all sorts of areas. And you know, I'll
- 12:13Speaker 3: hear commentators say often, well, we got to do this,
- 12:16Speaker 3: we got to throw money this way or throw money
- 12:17Speaker 3: that way, or we need this political fix or this
- 12:21Speaker 3: political fix. And when you trace all these problems back,
- 12:25Speaker 3: you keep taking step back and step back and step back.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I think it comes down to strong families being dismantled
- 12:33Speaker 3: over the last forty to fifty years, and now we
- 12:35Speaker 3: live in a culture that absolutely disvalues family, just like
- 12:40Speaker 3: I was talking about with the DNC and some of
- 12:42Speaker 3: the things they're doing outside that building up there is
- 12:44Speaker 3: just really weird. It's anti family, and I think it's
- 12:48Speaker 3: very unfortunate for our young people. You know, I read
- 12:50Speaker 3: a report on the West Virginia Metro News website just
- 12:52Speaker 3: this morning. I read it where they were they interviewed
- 12:56Speaker 3: the two teacher union leaders here in West Virginia, Delhi
- 12:59Speaker 3: and and Fred Albert, and Uh, they talked about all
- 13:02Speaker 3: the suspensions that happened in school. Uh last year, I
- 13:06Speaker 3: guess it was there was several thousands, like tens of
- 13:09Speaker 3: thousands maybe suspensions that happened in West Virginia public schools.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And you know, I was thinking about, well, what's the
- 13:15Speaker 3: cause for that? And I thought about the environment that
- 13:17Speaker 3: children come out of broken homes or homes with no parents,
- 13:21Speaker 3: or parents who don't pay attention, or single parents or
- 13:24Speaker 3: all all these issues, and I just think that a
- 13:27Speaker 3: lot of the instability that we see arises out of that.
- 13:31Speaker 4: How do you personally define the family unit, Tony.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Well, as I said, I think that the nuclear family,
- 13:38Speaker 3: that's that's the the nuclear family is is the smallest, uh,
- 13:44Speaker 3: the smallest piece of society, right, It's the most close
- 13:48Speaker 3: knit piece. And what I mean by that is the
- 13:49Speaker 3: family that lives in one home, one mother, one father,
- 13:53Speaker 3: and not two mothers, not two fathers, because that's actually impossible.
- 13:57Speaker 5: Uh.
- 13:57Speaker 3: People can play house, but in real house, you have
- 14:00Speaker 3: one mother, you have one father, living together, loving each other,
- 14:04Speaker 3: committed to one another, committed to God, and raising children together.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That's what I mean by the family. And of course
- 14:10Speaker 3: there's extended family and things like that, But that family
- 14:13Speaker 3: that I just described, that's the most close knit unit
- 14:17Speaker 3: that we have in society. And that's kind of what
- 14:19Speaker 3: I talked about in the in the op ed, I
- 14:21Speaker 3: talked about a TV show from the nineteen nineties was
- 14:24Speaker 3: actually Family Matters. A lot of people will remember fondly
- 14:28Speaker 3: Steve Urkele and all of his antics, but if you
- 14:30Speaker 3: go back and watch some of those shows, they really
- 14:32Speaker 3: had a different message. And this was just in the nineties.
- 14:35Speaker 3: This wasn't like, you know, an eternity.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Go this is not Ozzie and Harriet. I mean, this
- 14:40Speaker 4: was you know, thirty years ago.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not that long ago. And you watch these
- 14:43Speaker 3: shows and the messaging coming out of them is honestly,
- 14:46Speaker 3: it's so really positive and good. And I sit down
- 14:49Speaker 3: and watch it with my family, and my children have
- 14:51Speaker 3: never seen positive messaging like that on television until they
- 14:54Speaker 3: go back and watch these old shows and they're like, wow, this,
- 14:56Speaker 3: you know, this is different. They recognize that. Well, I
- 14:59Speaker 3: grew up with it. But anyway, we go back and
- 15:01Speaker 3: we watch these episodes, and there was this one particular
- 15:04Speaker 3: episode where uh, Steve and Laura were in high school
- 15:08Speaker 3: and the teacher began to teach about society and how
- 15:12Speaker 3: it's built. And the teacher teaches the students right out
- 15:14Speaker 3: loud on TV. She says that countries are made up
- 15:17Speaker 3: of cities and cities are made up of smaller units
- 15:20Speaker 3: called neighborhoods, and neighborhoods are made up of even smaller
- 15:23Speaker 3: units called the family. And then she says, traditionally the
- 15:27Speaker 3: foundation of each family is a marriage. Right now, she
- 15:32Speaker 3: says that so matter of factly, she says it as
- 15:34Speaker 3: if this is normal. There's you know, this is just
- 15:37Speaker 3: a normal thing. You don't hear things like that today today,
- 15:40Speaker 3: you know, anything family oriented is is kind of looked
- 15:45Speaker 3: down upon. We have all sorts of different definitions for
- 15:49Speaker 3: family now, which which just are not true. And I
- 15:52Speaker 3: really think that in order to get stability back into society,
- 15:55Speaker 3: we need to go back to what Ronald Reagan said.
- 15:56Speaker 3: He said that the greatness comes from families eating around
- 16:00Speaker 3: the dinner table. It's something to that effect on paraphrasing.
- 16:02Speaker 3: But he's just talking about getting back to family.
- 16:05Speaker 4: How do we do that, though, Well, I tell you
- 16:07Speaker 4: that's a big that's a broad question, sure, and that's

- 16:24Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I have to be in third place. I

- 19:23Speaker 4: Your guest is definitely entitled to his opinion, but I'm
- 19:25Speaker 4: also entitled to mine. That have turned off the radio. Well,
- 19:28Speaker 4: you know, Tony, Thanks buddy.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Thanks, thanks, Sorry, your ratings will go down by one.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Your guest this morning makes me nauseous. Such bs bs, Tony.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I don't understand, I mean, but you know what. That
- 19:40Speaker 3: goes back to what I was just saying. People. I
- 19:42Speaker 3: don't know who these people are. I have no idea,
- 19:44Speaker 3: but there are people in our society who hate the family.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Texas Dave Biden. Harris's policies over the past three and
- 19:51Speaker 4: a half years have been complete failure, i e. Border economy.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Trump's policies are proven best for our country, common sense,
- 19:59Speaker 4: Dave says. A Texter Texas said, so glad I left
- 20:03Speaker 4: a party years ago that now tells you to loudly
- 20:05Speaker 4: and probably shout the fact that you can tear an
- 20:07Speaker 4: unborn child apart limb to limb, yet as a complete
- 20:11Speaker 4: two year old meltdown if it's called the wrong pro Now,
- 20:14Speaker 4: the Democratic Party we knew is gone, says a Texter.
- 20:20Speaker 4: I'm gonna throw this out here, fit. I'm gonna play
- 20:22Speaker 4: Devil's auvocate here, no pun intended before you say anything.
- 20:25Speaker 4: And I kind of alluded to Ozzie and Harriet earlier,
- 20:27Speaker 4: the Beaver, you know, the Cleavers. You know, you can
- 20:30Speaker 4: lead to whatever family you want to from sitcoms, the
- 20:36Speaker 4: American family two point whatever kids, husband and wife, some
- 20:40Speaker 4: would say tony as some of the Texters. I'll try
- 20:43Speaker 4: to get to that. It's not the reality anymore. And
- 20:46Speaker 4: sometimes an American family could be a single mom or
- 20:50Speaker 4: a single dad raising three kids alone, or a grandmother
- 20:53Speaker 4: raising kids. Your thoughts, Yeah, you're right.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I mean that oftentimes is the American family, and I
- 20:59Speaker 3: think that's what's so unfortunate about our society today. I
- 21:02Speaker 3: think that's one of the root causes of a lot
- 21:04Speaker 3: of the instability we have right now. So you're you're
- 21:06Speaker 3: absolutely right to point that out. You know, I'll go
- 21:10Speaker 3: back if you go back. I alluded to this in
- 21:12Speaker 3: my op ed. So in the pre industrial era, uh,
- 21:16Speaker 3: you know, the makeup of family was much much different.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You had a system where before industrialization where mothers had
- 21:24Speaker 3: to rely on fathers for certain things. Fathers had to
- 21:27Speaker 3: rely on mothers, or we could say husbands had to
- 21:29Speaker 3: rely on wives. Wives had to rely on husbands, and
- 21:31Speaker 3: then children had to rely on the parents for a
- 21:33Speaker 3: lot of things. I mean, the household was very much
- 21:37Speaker 3: an economy of its own in in the pre industrialized world, right.
- 21:41Speaker 3: And but once industrial is an industrialization came along, a
- 21:45Speaker 3: lot of that changed the family. The family unit was
- 21:49Speaker 3: weakened quite a bit. The fathers were outsourced to to
- 21:52Speaker 3: to the workplace. You know, they did no longer work
- 21:54Speaker 3: near the home. They now go out.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Uh.
- 21:56Speaker 3: And so that what that did was create over long
- 21:58Speaker 3: periods of time, that created as operation of what the
- 22:01Speaker 3: father feels that's going on in his own household and
- 22:04Speaker 3: in his own home because he's gone most of the time,
- 22:05Speaker 3: you know, he's gone at work. Pre industrialization, Uh, we
- 22:08Speaker 3: didn't have a lot of that, but but now we do.
- 22:10Speaker 3: And so that that was one fissure where we have
- 22:13Speaker 3: fathers that come home to the household and they don't
- 22:15Speaker 3: really know what's going on because they haven't been there
- 22:17Speaker 3: all day or all week, or whatever the case may be.
- 22:18Speaker 3: So that's that's one thing. Another thing I think contributes
- 22:21Speaker 3: to it was no fault divorce. And a lot of
- 22:24Speaker 3: people point back to Reagan is his time as the
- 22:27Speaker 3: California governor. He was a proponent of no fault divorce.
- 22:31Speaker 3: If I have my fact straight, I think Ronald Reagan
- 22:33Speaker 3: might have been the first president we ever had who
- 22:35Speaker 3: who was divorced. I think that's correct. You can correct
- 22:37Speaker 3: me if I'm wrong, But I revere Ronald Reagan as
- 22:41Speaker 3: a whole when I look at his whole body of work.
- 22:43Speaker 3: But that is one area that that that that was
- 22:45Speaker 3: not good, and he introduced that in California and kind
- 22:48Speaker 3: of normalized no fault divorce. And so now now we
- 22:53Speaker 3: we have we we have normalized these very strange, odd
- 22:57Speaker 3: family makeup And really, what I think it comes down to,
- 23:01Speaker 3: especially with no fault divorce, it comes down to a
- 23:05Speaker 3: religion of the self, where we worship our autonomy, we
- 23:12Speaker 3: worship our self sovereignty, and and and that you know,
- 23:17Speaker 3: we could get really deep into political thought here, but
- 23:19Speaker 3: that's one reason why I'm I'm not a libertarian politically,
- 23:23Speaker 3: you know, I'm a Republican. Libertarians believe, you know, you
- 23:26Speaker 3: let me be free to do whatever I want. Well,
- 23:29Speaker 3: I believe that freedom is not the permission to do
- 23:32Speaker 3: whatever you want. It's the power to do what you ought.
- 23:35Speaker 3: That's what I believe freedom is. And I think that
- 23:39Speaker 3: this religion of self where it's all about me, it's
- 23:42Speaker 3: all about my wants, you know, it's all about what
- 23:44Speaker 3: makes me happy, what makes me feel good, rather than
- 23:48Speaker 3: than than supporting the other person in your family, whether
- 23:50Speaker 3: it be your spouse or your child, putting your children first,
- 23:52Speaker 3: putting your your spouse first, or whatever, you know, as
- 23:55Speaker 3: as a me, as a as a loving husband, you know,
- 23:58Speaker 3: I try to put my spouse ahead of me.
- 24:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 24:00Speaker 3: The Bible tells me that I should give up my
- 24:02Speaker 3: life for her, and I would do that very thing.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And so a lot of these thoughts, a lot of
- 24:06Speaker 3: these traditional thoughts are gone, you know, a lot of
- 24:10Speaker 3: these traditions that rely on I saw somebody say recently,
- 24:13Speaker 3: I wish this was original to me, but it's not.
- 24:15Speaker 3: But I heard someone say that tradition is simply solutions
- 24:19Speaker 3: to problems that we've long forgotten. A lot of people
- 24:22Speaker 3: look down on tradition, and there's some traditions that need
- 24:26Speaker 3: to be broken. We just do them because we've always
- 24:28Speaker 3: done them. But a lot of times tradition is solutions
- 24:31Speaker 3: to think to problems that we've long forgotten. And I
- 24:34Speaker 3: think that the family unit is one of those traditions
- 24:37Speaker 3: that we need to get back to. We will become
- 24:39Speaker 3: a stronger country in every way, every way, from economics
- 24:43Speaker 3: to immigration policy, all of these different types of thoughts,
- 24:46Speaker 3: they stem from what kind of family unit a person
- 24:52Speaker 3: comes from.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Take sense, how is childcare? Tax credit and free school
- 24:56Speaker 4: lunch is anti family? Tony is a Christian nationalist who
- 25:00Speaker 4: wants women in subordinate roles. By the way, Dave Allen,
- 25:02Speaker 4: you're attacking the family unit, why don't you have kids?
- 25:05Speaker 4: I don't think I said anything. I just gave you
- 25:07Speaker 4: a forum. Did I say anything to what you said
- 25:09Speaker 4: about about it? I will say this in my opinion though.
- 25:13Speaker 4: My opinion is is that just about every problem we
- 25:16Speaker 4: have in society can be traced back to not having
- 25:20Speaker 4: some form of accountability at home. I will say that
- 25:23Speaker 4: because I mean, but as first, why I don't have kids?
- 25:26Speaker 4: I've been very honest about it. I didn't want kids.
- 25:30Speaker 4: You know, my wife and I have been married for
- 25:32Speaker 4: thirty two years. Thirty two years next month, September nineteenth.
- 25:34Speaker 4: See I remember, and we're what's known as child free.
- 25:38Speaker 4: We could have kids, but decided early on in our
- 25:40Speaker 4: marriage that we that we didn't that we didn't want them.
- 25:43Speaker 4: So are people like me and you're and I'm not
- 25:45Speaker 4: being argumentative with you and I are good friends, but
- 25:47Speaker 4: people like me. Are we a problem?
- 25:49Speaker 3: I don't think so at all. I mean, one thing
- 25:52Speaker 3: that I want to congratulate you on and I think
- 25:54Speaker 3: is very admirable. You just told all of your listeners
- 25:57Speaker 3: you're getting ready to celebrate thirty two years of marriage.
- 26:00Speaker 3: In today's world, that's that's to be admired and it's
- 26:03Speaker 3: to be congratulately. I mean, that's really a feat.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Well, she deserves a medal. I'll say that.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Well I agree with that, uh but but no, seriously,
- 26:12Speaker 3: I mean that that's a really big deal. I've been
- 26:14Speaker 3: married over twenty years myself, and the fact that you
- 26:16Speaker 3: don't have kids. Look, I don't know what God's plan
- 26:19Speaker 3: is for Dave Allen and his wife, but you guys
- 26:23Speaker 3: have have have cut a course for your life. And
- 26:25Speaker 3: and I think your believers as far as I know,
- 26:27Speaker 3: and in fact I know you are. And so God
- 26:29Speaker 3: has a plan for you. And whatever that plan is,
- 26:31Speaker 3: you know, all the more power to you. But I
- 26:33Speaker 3: know it's in no one's plan to go and uh
- 26:37Speaker 3: kill children or kill babies through abortion. I know that's
- 26:39Speaker 3: not God's plan. That shouldn't be anybody's plan. But I
- 26:42Speaker 3: want to go back to one thing that that texture said.
- 26:44Speaker 3: It was something about uh subjugating women or something.
- 26:48Speaker 4: What was the subordinate that you want women to be subbortive?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Oh, subbortive women. So he brings that up right after
- 26:53Speaker 3: I just said I would give my life for my
- 26:54Speaker 3: own wife. So this is just foolishness. These people that
- 26:57Speaker 3: text in, I guess they just need attention or they
- 26:59Speaker 3: they probably we get they're probably narcissistist. Narcissistic can get
- 27:03Speaker 3: excited when they're touch is right on the air.
- 27:04Speaker 4: And again, as always say, I have no idea who
- 27:07Speaker 4: they are. I just I just read it. Tony is
- 27:10Speaker 4: weird to the texture?
- 27:12Speaker 3: Is it?
- 27:12Speaker 4: Some people say this, including your wife? Is it normal
- 27:15Speaker 4: to vote for a sex abuser who parted with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 27:18Speaker 4: Texas southern border crossings at a three year low. How
- 27:21Speaker 4: is this a mess? Texas? Does Tony care to explain
- 27:24Speaker 4: why it's normal for a white man to question if
- 27:26Speaker 4: a black woman is black enough? Reference to Trump, inflation
- 27:31Speaker 4: is two point nine percent. The target rate is two percent.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Don't let Tony light to you. Look I have said this.
- 27:36Speaker 4: I don't care what kind of statistics you throw out there.
- 27:38Speaker 4: When you go to the store and you're in your
- 27:41Speaker 4: price below for bread or I was talking about bolooney
- 27:44Speaker 4: yesterday is gone. I saw a commercial for something. Told
- 27:47Speaker 4: my wife. I said, no, we have a bought any
- 27:49Speaker 4: bologne in a while, take away my Logan County card.
- 27:51Speaker 4: We have bought any blognia. She said, you know how
- 27:53Speaker 4: expensive it is. Now the person in the White House
- 27:57Speaker 4: is going to get blamed for that, right or wrong.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Republican didn't They are going to get blamed for that
- 28:02Speaker 4: in prices. Care what inflation is? I know I went
- 28:04Speaker 4: to Kroger Saturday. I know what the prices are.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's interesting. You can throw out statistics
- 28:10Speaker 3: and look, I'm a stats guy. I like data. I
- 28:12Speaker 3: like to look at hard data. But the real hard data,
- 28:15Speaker 3: the actual evidence that I use when it comes to
- 28:18Speaker 3: inflation and how it affects my household is what you
- 28:21Speaker 3: just said. When I go to my local grocery store,
- 28:22Speaker 3: When I go to my local department store and I
- 28:24Speaker 3: see how expensive milk and eggs and just basic needs are,
- 28:28Speaker 3: it's completely outrageous. You can throw out your little one
- 28:30Speaker 3: point two point three point percent statistics, but I'm telling
- 28:34Speaker 3: you the percentage that it affects my bank account is
- 28:38Speaker 3: what is going to determine my vote. And speaking of
- 28:40Speaker 3: you know, broken families, we have, you know, all these
- 28:42Speaker 3: single women out here who trying to raise their children,
- 28:45Speaker 3: the ones that think God didn't abort them, and they're
- 28:47Speaker 3: out here raising children alone. They should be the ones
- 28:50Speaker 3: that are looking at different solutions when it comes to
- 28:54Speaker 3: to who to hire to manage their state, manage their country.
- 28:58Speaker 3: You know, we need to get away from this left leaning,
- 29:02Speaker 3: inflation increasing political ideology, and these single mothers need to look. Okay,
- 29:08Speaker 3: we see how things are under conservative rule, and we
- 29:11Speaker 3: see how things are under liberal rule. Things are much
- 29:14Speaker 3: more expensive for me under liberal rule. Maybe we need
- 29:16Speaker 3: to change directions.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Tex says, great program this morning with Tony Hodge speaking
- 29:20Speaker 4: common sense in a world that's lost its mind. Thanks
- 29:24Speaker 4: Dave and Tony. Another narrow view of the economy. Highest
- 29:29Speaker 4: stock prices in history, lowest unemployment. Learn how to read
- 29:32Speaker 4: a stock chart, says a Texter.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Texas.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Hey, Dave, does Tony have a take on Patrick Morrissey's
- 29:42Speaker 4: passed with drug companies and unleast the opioid crisis and
- 29:44Speaker 4: absolutely gutted family units in America?
- 29:48Speaker 3: Well, look, Patrick Morrissey is a stalwart conservative. I mean
- 29:53Speaker 3: he is if you look at his record of what
- 29:56Speaker 3: he's done as Attorney General and some of the things
- 29:59Speaker 3: on and especially on social issues with his conservatism, I
- 30:02Speaker 3: mean he's a stalwart. He's strong. You can't push the
- 30:06Speaker 3: guy around. I mean he's a fighter. He's gonna fight
- 30:08Speaker 3: for West Virginia. He's going to be the next governor
- 30:10Speaker 3: of West Virginia. And he's he's the conservative that we
- 30:13Speaker 3: need in this moment and I look forward to supporting him.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Tex says, this guy lives on the fringe. I know
- 30:18Speaker 4: several non nuclear families that would be great examples to
- 30:21Speaker 4: some nuclear families. Interviews such as this do nothing but
- 30:24Speaker 4: drive a wedge in our society. There was nothing informative
- 30:27Speaker 4: that came out of that interview. He is a hateful
- 30:29Speaker 4: individual that's not accepting of others. So basically, it's only
- 30:33Speaker 4: okay not to have a nuclear family if you are
- 30:35Speaker 4: a dedicated Republican.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Well, that's interesting. I mean I'm a hateful person. I mean,
- 30:39Speaker 3: I don't know who this guy is. This if this guy, yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 3: who this person is. If they really knew me, if
- 30:46Speaker 3: they met me in person, they would realize that nothing
- 30:50Speaker 3: could be further from the truth. And as far as
- 30:54Speaker 3: I think the texture alluded that that broken families or
- 30:57Speaker 3: single families can't be uh can respected or something like that.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I can't remember exactly what you said. You'd have to
- 31:03Speaker 3: reread it. But anyway, No, what that person's doing is
- 31:06Speaker 3: they're taking an exception, an exception to the rule and
- 31:09Speaker 3: trying to make it normal. Look, I know there's exceptions.
- 31:11Speaker 3: There are fantastic single mothers and single fathers out there.
- 31:15Speaker 3: I'll tell you a quick, just personal story. My wife,
- 31:19Speaker 3: she she was raised by a single father, which is
- 31:22Speaker 3: an unusual situation. She was raised fully by a single father,
- 31:26Speaker 3: her and her brother. And you know, we're so grateful
- 31:29Speaker 3: to him and all that he's done for them in
- 31:31Speaker 3: their lives, but you know, it's an unusual situation, and uh,
- 31:35Speaker 3: you know, but he did a really good job with
- 31:37Speaker 3: with with the cards that he was dealt. And so
- 31:39Speaker 3: there are exceptions and we recognize those, but even he
- 31:43Speaker 3: would tell you that he wished that his family was intact.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Tex says, a vote for Democrats is to assure government
- 31:51Speaker 4: regulates business. A vote for Republicans is to assure corporations
- 31:56Speaker 4: break corporations that gives the freedom to break it off
- 32:00Speaker 4: in consumers. Tex says the protests of a democratic convention
- 32:03Speaker 4: are healthy, much healthier than Republicans falling in line behind
- 32:06Speaker 4: the adulterous child molester Donald Trump, Texas. Tony Hodges lives
- 32:10Speaker 4: in a fantasy world where everything is wrong, but people
- 32:12Speaker 4: did things his way, everything would be perfect.
- 32:15Speaker 3: This isn't my way. This is the way of millennia
- 32:19Speaker 3: of human history. Only in the last fifty to sixty
- 32:22Speaker 3: years have we gotten away from what has been normal
- 32:25Speaker 3: in all of written human history. So this isn't my way.
- 32:28Speaker 3: All I'm doing is going back to what I would
- 32:32Speaker 3: say is very very normal for humans. We have the
- 32:34Speaker 3: history of it. Okay, there was a text there. You're
- 32:36Speaker 3: talking about the protests I'm looking up here. You've got
- 32:38Speaker 3: the DNC on the screen here in the studio, and
- 32:41Speaker 3: there's people out in the street anti Israel, anti Semitic,
- 32:46Speaker 3: people who are Democrats out there protesting their own party
- 32:51Speaker 3: because their own party is not anti Semitic enough and
- 32:54Speaker 3: anti Israel enough. This is shocking. Israel is the only
- 32:57Speaker 3: democracy in that part of the world, Middle Eastern part
- 33:00Speaker 3: of the world. I mean, and we we have a
- 33:04Speaker 3: party that is that thinks it's mainstream to be anti Semitic.
- 33:09Speaker 4: I mean, that's not fair enough to say all Democrats though, Tony.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I mean, I'm talking about these protests.
- 33:14Speaker 9: Ok.
- 33:14Speaker 3: These protesters are anti Semitic, and what I'm saying is
- 33:17Speaker 3: they want their party to be more anti Semitic. That's
- 33:20Speaker 3: one reason why the fellow from Pennsylvania was passed over
- 33:23Speaker 3: for this crazy guy up in Minnesota who's even crazier.
- 33:26Speaker 3: It is because he's not pro Israel. That's why he's chosen.
- 33:29Speaker 4: All right, let me read one more text and then
- 33:31Speaker 4: we'll let it go. What is better, says a texture,
- 33:34Speaker 4: two moms that love their kids, love God, involved in
- 33:36Speaker 4: all aspects of their kids, and eat dinner together every night,
- 33:39Speaker 4: or a man and woman where the husband abuses the
- 33:42Speaker 4: wife ignores the kids and it's an alcoholic, but are
- 33:44Speaker 4: still a family.
- 33:45Speaker 10: Well, of course you.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Don't want a husband that abuses the kids. It's an alcoholic.
- 33:48Speaker 3: But it's logically impossible to have two mothers to a child.
- 33:52Speaker 3: So neither situation is ideal. They're actually both wrong. That's
- 33:56Speaker 3: the answer. And I will say that anytime you have
- 33:59Speaker 3: two mothers raising children, you are absolutely depriving that child
- 34:03Speaker 3: of their right to have a father. And if you
- 34:06Speaker 3: have two fathers raising children, those two fathers are doing
- 34:09Speaker 3: wrong by those young people because they're depriving those young
- 34:11Speaker 3: people of their God given right to have a mother.
- 34:15Speaker 3: This is wrong. All all of these scenarios, they're not right.
- 34:18Speaker 3: They're not normal biologically speaking, scientifically speaking, they're just not normal.
- 34:25Speaker 3: This isn't the right way to go. If I'm the
- 34:26Speaker 3: only one that comes in here on WHS radio and
- 34:29Speaker 3: says it, I'll do it till the day I'll die.
- 34:30Speaker 3: It's something. Speaking truth and speaking truth to power is
- 34:35Speaker 3: something I think it's important and I'm here for it.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Tony. Appreciate you being here, man, Thanks a lot.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, man, I appreciate that I.

- 38:52Speaker 7: Listen?
- 38:52Speaker 10: Tickets just went on sale last week. This is a
- 38:54Speaker 10: fifteenth year that we have produced October West. It's one
- 38:57Speaker 10: of the largest beer, music, and food festivals in the
- 39:01Speaker 10: state of West Virginia. We bring people from well over
- 39:05Speaker 10: the last fifteen years, we've brought people from sixteen different
- 39:07Speaker 10: states to attend this event. That means those are heads
- 39:10Speaker 10: and beds and hotel rooms. That's people spending money within
- 39:13Speaker 10: the business districts after they leave our event, and we
- 39:15Speaker 10: get to open eyes to the city of Charleston. So
- 39:18Speaker 10: for that reason, for those reasons, among many others, we're
- 39:20Speaker 10: just really excited that tickets are finally on sale. They
- 39:23Speaker 10: went on sale last week. You can go to Charleston

- 39:30Speaker 10: couple weeks of all the details and for those who
- 39:32Speaker 10: have never been, what exactly goes on this October West
- 39:36Speaker 10: is a sort of a German themed like Octoberfest right,
- 39:38Speaker 10: a German themed craft beer, music and food festival. Happens
- 39:42Speaker 10: right in the heart of the Elk City district of
- 39:44Speaker 10: the West Side, So we're talking from Pennsylvania Avenue all
- 39:47Speaker 10: the way down to Indiana Avenue, that stretch of Washington

- 39:52Speaker 10: districts who participate. They keep their doors open to participate

- 41:07Speaker 3: Yeah, just like with Phone at the Dome.
- 41:08Speaker 10: I gotta tell you, Dave, we had the most incredible
- 41:11Speaker 10: experience working with you all. All the five major stations
- 41:14Speaker 10: of Western Eer Radio really came through and did an
- 41:16Speaker 10: incredible job of promoting Phone with the Dome. Throughout the
- 41:19Speaker 10: course of the promotional period of the event, you guys
- 41:21Speaker 10: were there on site on stage, all the all the
- 41:23Speaker 10: great personalities from all the stations were on this all

- 41:53Speaker 10: Well, you know, I came on a couple of weeks
- 41:54Speaker 10: or about a month or so, maybe two months ago
- 41:56Speaker 10: to talk about our small business surveys. We have started.
- 41:59Speaker 10: We're releasing those finally, we're starting with the Elk City
- 42:02Speaker 10: district of the West Side. We're going to do some
- 42:04Speaker 10: surveys for all the business owners there to collect some
- 42:06Speaker 10: really important data from them. We'll then go over to
- 42:08Speaker 10: the East End and start our work there. We're going
- 42:10Speaker 10: to take that information and report it at our Urbanight Awards,
- 42:13Speaker 10: which is this November, which also is our annual meeting,
- 42:16Speaker 10: and that will really shape our work plans as far
- 42:18Speaker 10: as the projects we're going to undertake over the next
- 42:21Speaker 10: three years. So we're in the middle of that right now.
- 42:23Speaker 10: We also just launched our Charleston Urban Works Passport Card.
- 42:26Speaker 10: I think I might have come on here and talk
- 42:27Speaker 10: about that. That's powered through Element Federal Credit Union, So
- 42:30Speaker 10: we have a bylocal program. If you sign up as
- 42:32Speaker 10: a member at Element Federal Credit Union and you get
- 42:35Speaker 10: a passport card, you open an account with them. Every
- 42:38Speaker 10: time you swipe that card throughout the East End, the

- 47:14Speaker 4: ones we always want. And I've said I come from
- 47:16Speaker 4: a broken family. My parents divorced when I was five.
- 47:19Speaker 4: I was literally the only kid in the class whose
- 47:22Speaker 4: parents were divorced. And that was in nineteen seventy five.
- 47:25Speaker 4: So now it probably would be the opposite. If you had,
- 47:28Speaker 4: you know, the parents that were actually still married, they
- 47:31Speaker 4: probably would not be the norm anymore, Texas Tony. This
- 47:35Speaker 4: world's population nineteen hundreds was one point six billion, were
- 47:38Speaker 4: at eight billion. I think your nuclear families were blowing

- 49:03Speaker 4: Council scheduled to meet tonight. They are expected again to
- 49:06Speaker 4: take up a bill that would change the penalties for
- 49:09Speaker 4: simple possession of marijuana. We're talking fifteen grams or less now.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Some folks try to get a change in the regulations
- 49:15Speaker 4: for the city had a petition going around, but according
- 49:18Speaker 4: to city officials, including City Attorney Kevin Baker, the one
- 49:22Speaker 4: eight hundred and fifty seven signatures were not enough. The
- 49:26Speaker 4: original bill, sponsored by Councilman Chad Robinson and Frank Annie,
- 49:29Speaker 4: was discussed in the council meeting in July July seventeenth.
- 49:32Speaker 4: It later went to the Ordinance and Rules Committee. This
- 49:35Speaker 4: is designed to do a number of things, including the
- 49:38Speaker 4: city pretty much going along with what the state code
- 49:41Speaker 4: says as it relates to possession. It would remove some
- 49:46Speaker 4: of what the city and law enforcement says are simply
- 49:49Speaker 4: conflicting and confusing language. It also would remove jail time
- 49:54Speaker 4: for simple possession. The first offense would not come with
- 49:57Speaker 4: a five. There are several other aspects to this again,
- 50:00Speaker 4: and that will be discussed at the council meeting tonight.
- 50:02Speaker 4: We will be monitoring the meeting, of course, and have
- 50:04Speaker 4: stories posted about it on the website as well as
- 50:07Speaker 4: on air. And I have counselman Chad Robinson scheduled to
- 50:09Speaker 4: be on the show tomorrow. Talked with him earlier this morning.
- 50:12Speaker 4: He's hoping something will get done at the council meeting
- 50:14Speaker 4: tonight and Counselman Robinson will join us on the show tomorrow.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Texas Dave great program. Tony's strong and loves his state
- 50:22Speaker 4: and country by speaking the truth. Thanks Tony Hodge for
- 50:25Speaker 4: speaking for the vast majority of West Virginians. Just curious
- 50:32Speaker 4: our non nuclear families welcome to this event. That was
- 50:37Speaker 4: a nod to October west Rick unfortunately had to leave us.
- 50:41Speaker 4: He had some prior appointments, but I'd say just about
- 50:43Speaker 4: anybody's probably invited Texas. Tony Hodge was right on the spot.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Neighbor has had six non working fathers in eight years,
- 50:53Speaker 4: and Methodist Episcopal Church supports it. Says a Texter Texas
- 50:59Speaker 4: Jesus was such a fan of marriage. The text says
- 51:07Speaker 4: is that we're to open up political rally with the
- 51:08Speaker 4: national anthem sung by January sixth, criminals and call them
- 51:11Speaker 4: political prisoners. I'm going to close this some national news here,
- 51:15Speaker 4: of course, the big story of the DNC President Biden
- 51:17Speaker 4: expected to speak tonight. As I said, there are protests
- 51:20Speaker 4: already going on in Chicago, and I was doing some
- 51:23Speaker 4: reading over the weekend, and there was some polling that
- 51:26Speaker 4: was released. And if you are former President Donald Trump
- 51:30Speaker 4: as of now on the time, it couldn't be a
- 51:32Speaker 4: little bit troubling. A new poll out from ABC News,
- 51:36Speaker 4: the Washington Posts and ESBA says Vice President Kamala Harris
- 51:40Speaker 4: is now leading former President Trump fifty percent to forty
- 51:44Speaker 4: five percent. And what's interesting here the independent vote, which
- 51:50Speaker 4: I think is going to decide this election. In July,
- 51:53Speaker 4: when it was Trump v Biden, Trump was leading independent
- 51:56Speaker 4: voters over Biden by four points. Now Jamala Harris, according
- 52:01Speaker 4: to the poll, is leading Trump among independence by eleven points.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Another interesting note here is that among voters ages eighteen
- 52:09Speaker 4: to thirty nine, Kamala Harris leading Trump fifty seven to
- 52:12Speaker 4: thirty seven percent.
- 52:15Speaker 2: All Right, we gotta go.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Thank you so much to Tony Hodge. Sorry, I didn't
- 52:19Speaker 4: get to all the texts. That's the way it is
- 52:21Speaker 4: when you have people like Tony Hodge or Mike Pushkin
- 52:24Speaker 4: or Greg Thomas on the show. You just don't get
- 52:26Speaker 4: to all the text But my thanks to all those
- 52:27Speaker 4: that did text him. My producer was Hollywood Jeff Petty,
- 52:30Speaker 4: Thank you so much again. Chad Robinson from City Council
- 52:32Speaker 4: will join us on the show tomorrow, as well as
