- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Success by the Book Podcast, the place where Christians who want to experience the extravagant goodness of God in all areas of their lives come from mentorship.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: I am your host, Dr.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Inan, and I'll be unpacking the secrets I have learned from the Word of God over the last two decades.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Let's dive in.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: I think about something, and I want you to hear this with me, right?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Can you be a Christian and still suffer defeat?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Can you be a Christian who prays in tongues and still suffer defeat?
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Can you be a Christian who goes to church and still suffer defeat?
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: The missing link is something we're going to look at today.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And after you master this one thing, you're going to put yourself in a position where failure is really a thing of the past, where your life looks more like what the Bible talks about.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: And this is going to be something we are going to meditate on.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: We're going to do it together so you can continue to do it for yourself.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And everything is about to change for you.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: So everything is about to change.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: When you look at the word of God, I want you to have that impression.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Everything is about to change for me because this is exactly what is about to happen for you today.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: So we know that God called Joshua and Joshua had a big assignment.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Just like you have a big assignment.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Your destiny is a big assignment.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You have a big assignment from God, my friend.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: You have to understand this.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: You're not a nobody, you're not average.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: You're not just here passing time.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter what your past is.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter what mistakes have been made.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter the doubts that you've had.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: God is the one who made you.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: God called you a masterpiece.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: God gave you an assignment.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: God said, listen, that before you were born, before you were conceived, I knew you.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Before you were born, I appointed you.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: You are somebody on assignment.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: You are somebody who has a destiny.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: And Joshua was the same way.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Joshua had a big destiny.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: And God came to Joshua and He told him, Be strong, be very courageous.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: You will cause these people to enter this inheritance.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: And he gave him a secret.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I want you to think about your big destiny.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And God thought of a secret to give you.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: And God said, Hmm, this book of the law, Joshua chapter 1, verse 8, this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you will meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do all that is written on it, it written in it, then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: So God is saying, you have a big destiny here.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: This is what I want you to do.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And if you do this, you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Because our Father, in his kindness, already gave us a blueprint that promises us success.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: I will have good success.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: When you think about your life, don't think like, oh, what will happen?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Who knows what will happen?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: No, think about it.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: I'm a person, I'm a person on assignment.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: God has called me.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: God knew me.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Yes, I may have had hiccups along the way, but God has given me a blueprint.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And if I use this blueprint, I will have good success.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: I will have good success.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So can you succeed?
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: That's why this channel is called Success by the Book.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Can you succeed in what God called you to do?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: And don't believe any lie that you can't, because it's a lie.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, but you know, based on who I am, based on the family I come from, based on what has happened in the past, all that stuff does not matter.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: The blueprint works.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: It's a blueprint straight from the scripture.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: And what did he say?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Meditate.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: And the purpose of this meditation is so you can do something.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: And if you will do that thing, you will have good success.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: So a secret, a powerful secret we have as believers is meditation with the intent of obeying.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: So we meditate to have insight to understand, to get knowledge, to get wisdom, to know what we ought to do, and then to do those things so we can win.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Now, of course, it has a sister scripture, and you you've heard this many times, but I want you to hear it like it's the it's your first time.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: I've heard it many times.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I've spoken about it many times, I've meditated on many times.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Guess what I did this morning?
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I read it again.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: I read it again.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I want to read this and I'm gonna take my time.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: This one I'm not gonna just quote it.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm gonna read it from the scripture, and I want you to lean in.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: You've heard this, you've heard this many, many times before.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: This is not your first time, but I'm gonna read Psalm chapter one and I'm gonna read from verse one to verse three.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: And this time I'm gonna read it from the New King James Version.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Pay attention to this, or maybe let's let's do something different.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Let's read it from the new living translation.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I'm gonna read it from a different translation, and I just want you to pay attention to the word of God.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And Father, I pray as we look into your word that our eyes will be open to see, that we'll get wisdom, that will put us on top, we'll get wisdom, that'll put us even get us more aligned on the path of our destiny.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: This is what he said.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Verse one all the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or stand around with sinners or join in with mockers.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, the joys.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Like you're called to succeed, you're called to have joy.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: This is all the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: But so these people who have this joy, what is their deal?
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Here goes that meditation again.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And they're not meditating twice a day, but they're meditating day and night.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: This is what they do.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: This is why you will constantly see me talking about reading the scriptures, saying it out of your mouth, visualizing it, doing all of these things because all the joys, all the joys.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: That's a pathway to joy, not only joy, but all the joys.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: They are like trees planted along the riverbank.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: So they don't know what drought is, they don't know what being in lack, not having water is, they don't know what that's like because they're planted by the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: The good times I bear fruit.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: What people call bad times, I bear fruit.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: When I'm young, I bear fruit.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: When I'm older, I bear fruit.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: When there are challenges, I bear fruit.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: When everything is smooth, I bear fruit.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I bear fruit in each season.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Each season I bear fruit because I am this person who delights in the law of the Lord.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: I'm meditating in it, and this is my heritage.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: It says they bear fruit each season.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Their leaves never wither.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: This is a picture of your life as you take on this habit of meditation.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine this being your predominant thinking?
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine saying this every day before you start your day?
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Like even the mindset shift of, oh my goodness, this is a possibility for me to prosper in all I do.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: This is a possibility for it to be written of me.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Oh the joys, all the joys, oh what like what a blessing this is.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: I prosper in all I do because I meditate in the word of God.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: This is you.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: This is you.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: This is you.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Now, so as people who meditate, we're gonna do a meditation together, okay?
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: We're gonna look at a scripture.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: We're gonna look at one verse.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: And based on this one verse, your life is going to be different forever.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Based on this one verse, you are going to acquire new habits, you're going to have new expectations, and you are going to walk in it, so you're going to see the fruit of this in your life.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Now, there is a version of meditation that people talk about where you're emptying your mind and all of those things.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: In the scriptures, you will never find that.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: The scriptures talk about the one of the words used for meditation is hagar, which means to declare, which means to mutter, which means to growl, which means like you're saying the word under your breath.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It's speaking, right?
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Meditating is like rolling it in your mind.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Meditate so your mind is active, not passive in biblical meditation.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's pick a verse.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, and I am going to pick Hosea chapter four, verse six.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: This is going to explore, this is going to expose a missing link that you will never miss ever, ever, ever, ever again.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: So I'm pulling it up on my phone because I want to read a number of translations.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Now, remember to make meditation something anybody can practice, we broke it into steps, right?
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: In meditation, what could you do?
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: You pray over the scripture and ask God for insight.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: What is something else you can do?
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: You can write it out.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: It slows your brain down all the way.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: So you're paying attention to the words and all of that.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: What's another, the third thing you can do?
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: You can read it, especially in different translations.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: And this is contemplative reading, reading for understanding, right?
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: You can declare it out of your mouth.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: That's what God told Joshua.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: This book of the law shall not meditate that shall not depart from out of your mouth.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: So a quiet Christian is a defeated Christian already.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Already.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So you're declaring it out of your mouth.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: What else can you do?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: You visualize it, visualize it being your reality.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: So we talked about prospering in all we do.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Think about the nine areas of life.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: Think about prospering in your walk with God, prospering in your family, prospering in ministry, prospering in your health, prospering in your finances, prospering in your intellectual development, prospering, right?
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Visualizing it, painting pictures, creating movies in your mind.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: So this is that process of meditation.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Now we're going to practice it with the verse.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: So prayer first, Father, in the name of Jesus, we are about to look at Hosea chapter 4, verse 6.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: This is your word.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Your word is so rich.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Your word is given to us to put us ahead, to expose who you are, to expose your will, to expose your way of doing things, to expose who we are.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: As we look in your word, Lord, give us insight.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: That'll put us on top, give us understanding.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Let us pull out wisdom from it.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: That will help us change.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: That will help us see who we are.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: That'll help us see who you are.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: That'll help us see your ways of doing things.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: That by your word, by the word we look at today, for everyone watching this, for me, for everyone who watches the replay, that we will become signs and wonders to the glory of your name.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name, amen.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Now, now, so let's look at Hosea chapter 4, verse 6.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm going to read it from a number of translations.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: So let's start from the New King James Version.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: New King James Version.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: I'm looking at it on my phone, so I can look at multiple translations.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: I'm doing this off of Bible Hub.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: So Biblehub.com.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: That's what I use when I want to look at different translations verse by verse.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So New King James Version, it says, my people are destroyed.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: My people, this is God talking, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Now, before we go any further, remember when we talk about reading, we're talking about contemplative reading.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: We're thinking about what it says.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Now, there are a few things we already see.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: God is saying, My people are destroyed.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Hang on.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: I thought if I was a Christian and I spoke Christianese, I would never be at risk for destruction.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Apparently, apparently we can be.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Because God said, My people, these are not random people, these are not unsafe people, these are not people who don't belong to me.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: What?
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: As a child of God, could I be destroyed?
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, hang on.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Because if you're like me, you're feeling like I need to figure out what this is, so I don't do this, so I don't get destroyed.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Now, we all know what destroyed means, but if I told you to define destruction, being destroyed, you may not know how to define it.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: So I when I meditate, I love to look at like the definition of words.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: So destroyed means, okay, destroyed means damaged so badly that it cannot be used, fixed, or no longer exists.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: What my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Destroyed means damaged so badly that it cannot be used, fixed, or no longer exists.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's go back to the verse.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that was the definition.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: So my people are destroyed.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: What can destroy God's people?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Lack of knowledge.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Wait a minute.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: What that means is if I want to be a person who does not experience destruction in any area of my life, then I need to be a person who acquires knowledge.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: I destroy the lack of knowledge by acquiring knowledge.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So again, part of meditation is declaration.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: So what do we want to declare here?
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: I prioritize the acquisition.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: I am a person, I place a high value on knowledge, I prioritize the acquisition of knowledge.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Because acquiring knowledge damages a lack of knowledge, which will damage destruction.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: This is the word of God.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: For lack of knowledge.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, so I'm a person who goes after knowledge.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: I met people who said, I'll never read.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: I can't do that because ignorance apparently is so expensive because what it does is it causes destruction, it causes destruction.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Ignorance is so expensive that the ROI, the return on investment of ignorance is destruction.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Now, when I used to read this scripture, I would think, well, I can't know everything.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: So that does that mean everywhere there's destruction and all of that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: But I want to show you, I didn't even realize this.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Pastor Steve was reading this on church in church.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: My pastor was reading this in church on Sunday, and I was like, oh, wait a minute.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: I missed a whole part of this.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: So let's look at the next part.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: It says, Because you have rejected knowledge.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: So it's not just that you don't know everything, because on this side of eternity, we're not going to know everything.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: The lack of knowledge came from rejecting knowledge, not from going after knowledge and not is from rejecting knowledge.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: It's from rejecting knowledge.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being a priest for me.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Now, someone may say, Well, I don't want to be a pastor, so the people who are going to suffer from this are going to be priests.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: No, you are a priest.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: The Bible says in Revelation 5:10 that God has made us kings and priests unto our God.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: You are a priest.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: The Bible says that we in in first, is that first Peter chapter 2, verse 9?
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: It says that we are a royal priesthood.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: You don't get to choose this.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: You already made this.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: You got saved.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: You are a child of God.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: You are a priest.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: You are called to be a priest.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: You already have that calling.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, so so he says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being a priest for me.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: If you want to be somebody who fulfills destiny, completes their assignments, who's able to say to God, I completed down to the last detail what you assigned me to do.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: You have to become a person who receives knowledge.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: You don't reject knowledge.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: You don't reject knowledge.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: You are a priest.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: And what will destroy your priesthood is rejecting knowledge.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: And I will go, like, well, how do I reject knowledge?
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: What is this?
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: We'll get to it.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: But let's first of all, we know God's people can people can be destroyed.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: The thing that makes them candidates for destruction is a lack of knowledge.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: This lack of knowledge is a manifestation of rejecting knowledge.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: And if we reject knowledge, we are going to be rejected as priests.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: We're not done with the verse yet.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: We're still on one translation.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And so because you've rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priests for me.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Because you have forgotten the law of God, I also will forget your children.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't even want to go into what that means, but what it does mean is your ignorance is generational.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: The consequence of your ignorance, the consequence of my ignorance is generational.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Like there will be children suffering from things because their parents decided to reject knowledge.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: What the consequence of ignorance, the consequence of rejecting knowledge is generational.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna ask you before we read in the next translation, right?
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Before we read the next translation, as you meditate with me, this is what we're doing.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: We're interfacing with the word of God, immersing ourselves in the word of God.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: What decision have you already made?
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: What decision have you already made just by looking at this verse in one translation?
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: So now let's go to another translation.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's go to another translation.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: All right, so next translation we're gonna read this from.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Let us do the what do I do?
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Uh new living translation.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm gonna breeze past this and we're gonna do the amplified.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, so New Living Translation.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: My people are being destroyed because they don't know me.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.
- 18:51unknown: What?
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna read that one more time.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: My people are being destroyed because they don't know me.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: So what that means for me is I will I will know the Lord.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: I will invest in knowing the Lord.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I will study the word to know the Lord.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: I will go to church to learn more about the word.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: I will listen to this book, this videos like this on success by the book to know God more.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: I will have times of meditation, I will have times of prayer and saying, Lord, reveal yourself to me.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: My people are being destroyed because they don't know me.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: No, I will be the Abraham in my family, and because of me, there'll be generational blessings.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Because of me, there'll be generational blessings.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: There will be children in my family, in my lineage, who will be experiencing the hand of God moving in their lives, and it won't become because of anything they did, it will be because of what I did, it will be because of the price I paid, it's because I took the time to know God, it's because I took the time to acquire knowledge, to know his ways, to know who I am in him.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: This is what I choose to do.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: New living translation.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, now let's read this in the amplified Bible.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Let's read this in the amplified Bible.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, this is going to change your life forever.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Amplified Bible.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, so roll with me.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Roll with me.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Um, this is what it says.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge of my law where I reveal my will.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: I reveal my will.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: We are people who will take the time to know the will of God.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: We are people who will take the time to know the will of God.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: We are the people who will take the time to know the will of God.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: We are the people who will take the time to know the will of God.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I am the person who will take the time to know the will of God.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: I will know the will of God because that is the antidote against destruction.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: That is the antidote.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of the law where I reveal my will.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: So this thing of, oh, I don't know what the will of God is.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: It is in his book.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: When you pray, he will show you the customized one.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: But there's so much of the will of God that is in the book of God.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: There's so much of the will of God that is in the book of God.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: I will read the book of God so I can know the will of God.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: We must know this.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: We must make a decision for this.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: I will know the will of God.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: I will know what he wants.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I will know what pleases him.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: I will know how to do right by him.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Him.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I will know who he made me to be.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: I will know what my destiny is.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: I will walk in it.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: I will know how to conduct my spiritual life.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: I'll know how to conduct my family.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I'll know how to conduct ministry.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I will know how to conduct my finances.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: I will know how to do these things.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: I will understand the will of God because where the will, when my knowledge of it stops, is where destruction starts.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: I will seek out the will.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I will take the time to study.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I will take the time to discover.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: I will be like Dora the Explorer, exploring the will of God and walking in his ways.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So do you see when somebody says it doesn't take that, it doesn't take all that?
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: What they're saying is, I want to be one of the people of God who will be destroyed.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: That is literally what they're saying.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of the law where I reveal my will.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Because you, the priestly nation, see that?
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: We are a priestly nation.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Because you, the priestly nation, have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being my priest.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Since you have forgotten the law of your Lord, the Lord, I will also forget your children.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: We are people who seek to know God.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Listen to me.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: I told you guys many times about many times, I've told you many times about this whole thing of high discover that, oh no, we we call to read the Bible and to read the Bible a lot.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: There was a day on Arise and Shine when we were supposed to read a chapter, and that chapter was 49 verses.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Lord, I'm gonna tell these people on this call to sit now and read 49 verses.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: They're gonna say they can't read it, it's too long, all this stuff.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: God was like, have they not read a Facebook post that had 49 comments and they read the post and all 49 comments?
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: I was like, I am sure they have.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: I am absolutely sure they have.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: And it's like, if they can read 49 comments, they could read 49 verses.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And it's as simple as that.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Let's do let's do one more translation.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's let's do one more translation.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: This is so good and will change your life forever.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: All right, so we are gonna do the good news translation.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: When people say, I didn't have the time to read, and God understands, you have to remember that in the book of Malachi, people gave God lame animals, animals with blemishes and all, as an offering.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: And God said to them, Why do you give this to me?
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Go give it to your governor, see if your governor will receive it from you.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: So when we do certain things to God and say God understands, God looks for how we treat other people.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: God looks for how, when we say we don't have time, God will go to look at what you use your time to do.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: When we say we can't read, God looks for all the things that we can read.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: And so if you can read comments on Facebook, you can read comments on TikTok, you can read comments on YouTube, you can do all of those things.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: When you see a YouTube video and you're mad it only has nine comments because you wanted to read more comments, if you can read 234 comments, that is the equivalent of 10 chapters of the book of Proverbs.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: So you reading the equivalent of 10 chapters of the book of comments, uh Proverbs in the YouTube comments, and then you turn around and tell God, I ain't got no time to read my Bible.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: You lie, you're telling a hot lie.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, we need to stop lying.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: We have time to know God, we have capacity to know God, we have evidence that we can read.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, and I'm not judging you.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: I have how do you think I know about these nine comments?
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: I looked at a video yesterday and I was like, nine comments, what is this?
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, so good news translation.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: My people are doomed.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: What?
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, destroyed was bad enough.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: This is why we read multiple translations, we just let it hit home.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: My people are doomed because they don't acknowledge me.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: You priests have refused to acknowledge me and rejected my teaching, and so I reject you.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: I will not acknowledge your sons as my priests.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Woo wee.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, don't be doomed, man.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: I ain't gonna be doomed.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: It is gonna be well with me because I'm gonna go after knowledge.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: I'm going to win and and it's not just going after knowledge.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: When knowledge comes to me, I won't reject it.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you something.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I have had people tell me, oh, all these things are going on in my life.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: This is going wrong, that is going wrong, this is going wrong.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: And I give them a book to read, they won't read it.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: This is going wrong, I'm struggling with this, I'm struggling with that.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I did a whole session on that.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: It's a whole hour of success by the book.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Here's a link.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: They won't listen to it.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: This is going on, that is going wrong.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, come on, arise and shine.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Every day when we come there, we pray, we study the word, we meditate on the word, we get our minds changed.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: There's never been a morning where we came on a rise and shine where God did not show up to change our lives, and they won't come.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: I literally had somebody walk up to me and say, I want you to be my mentor.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like, like, I want you to be my mentor, like one-on-one, and you know, you're teaching me all the things and all.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Do you come on a rise and shine?
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Like, oh no, it's too early for me.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: A rise and shine is too early for you.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Where I come and I teach every single day, and I come and I lead prayer every single day, but you can't get yourself out of bed to the chair in your room to do that, and you want me to sit with you and mentor you?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: God will not honor that.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: That is you rejecting knowledge.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Knowledge is coming at you every morning, every morning, six o'clock.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: There's knowledge.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: God is pumping, he's like, Coming so you can know me, so you can know my word, so you can build habits that'll help you know me better, and all those things, and all and you say no, I don't want that.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Rejecting knowledge.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: I was like, girlfriend, yeah, a friend is is is the sleep you sleep at 6 a.m.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: so important to you that you would rather be destroyed than give it up?
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Is it that important to you that you're like, nah, I I I have me some destruction, forget 6 a.m.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: What?
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: So how do we, now that we know this, we we have discovered a few things.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: We have discovered that God's people can be destroyed.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: They can be destroyed, they can be doomed.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: God forbid that it will be the heritage of anybody here.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: We also discovered that what makes us a candidate for destruction is a lack of knowledge.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Now, God in his faithfulness will always have the knowledge you need per season and to prepare you for the next season coming at you.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: That's why if you look at the book of Proverbs, chapter eight, it says, wisdom stands on the corner and is shouting.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: It stands on the hill and is shouting, Come to me, you who are simple, come to me so you can learn.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: So, for instance, if God knows that three months from now you're going to experience a health challenge, guess what he'll do?
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: He'll start bringing the word of healing to you now so that you can take it, so you can meditate on it.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: So when the challenge shows up, you're ready.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: God is faithful.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: In my home church in the main city, when the pandemic, like three months before the pandemic hit, all of a sudden Pastor Steve started teaching about the protective power of the blood of Jesus.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: He started talking about moving forward against resistance, he started talking about financial foundations and all of that.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: That when the pandemic hit, we were ready.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: It was like God prepared us for it.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: So God will prepare, he'll put it in front of you.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: There have been times that, you know, after pastor's done preaching, he'll be like, God told me when I was preparing this service that I should teach this, and when I get to this point, I should call this person and pray for them about a challenge that they've been having, and that God was like, I will heal them in that moment.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I will turn around, I'll turn it around for them in that moment.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: They didn't come to church.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: They weren't in church.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: They weren't in church, they were not in church.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: So they didn't receive the word for them, they didn't receive the written word for them, they didn't receive the prophetic word for them, they rejected knowledge.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Now, don't don't misunderstand me.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Please don't hear what I'm not saying.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying if there was someday you couldn't go to church for a legit reason or or so that you should get bent out of shape because it means you're rejecting knowledge.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: When you're rejecting knowledge, you know.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: When you know, when you should be somewhere, you're not, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Between you and God, your conscience tells you, like, come on, self, what are you doing?
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: We're supposed to be somewhere.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: I know when I should be somewhere and I'm tripping.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm seeing a number of you asking about Horizon Shine.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: So Horizon Shine is at 6 a.m.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Eastern.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: I understand that many people have many different time zones.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: In fact, I met a very good new friend of mine who um she is in Pacific time zone.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: So Horizon Shine is 3 a.m.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: for her.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: She joins at 3 a.m.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: But I have a lot of people who are uh, and I want to give a big shout out to Bob.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Bob comes on Zoom every single morning, every single morning.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: But he is um, he's in Pacific time zone, he's in Nevada, right?
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, so it's 3 a.m.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: for them.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: But I have many people who are in the Pacific time zone or there's central or whatever, and they catch the replays.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: So you can do it that way if you want, okay?
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: So there's so many different ways to do it.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: So if it's 12 a.m.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: for Singapore and you're like, no, I'm not staying up an extra hour, that's okay.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Whenever is your time to pray, just pull it and go through it.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Just go through it.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: We put all the scriptures up.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: That's why we use slides.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: So if you're not there, you can follow and all of that.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Now, so when when we're tripping, we know.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: When we should be somewhere and we're not, we know.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: When God is pricking our heart, you should go to that meeting.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: We know.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: When God is pricking our hearts, it's like you should be awake right now.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: And our eyes are like, we know, we know, we know exactly what's happening.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let me give you something practical.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: I want you, I want to leave you with with something practical, very, very practical.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: So, three things we're going to do.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: This is what I'm gonna leave you with.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so we've looked at the word, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you've rejected knowledge.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: So we're now not people who reject knowledge anymore.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: We don't do that.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: So, what do I now do?
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Number one, I must have the right attitude.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: What is the attitude?
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: The attitude is a quest for knowledge.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: I am somebody who goes after knowledge.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: Now you can start declaring this.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: I'm a person who goes after knowledge.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: I'm a person who goes after knowledge.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: I love to read the word of God.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: In church, I don't wait to, I'm not analyzing the preacher's word like I'm a supervisor of preachers.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I'm leaning in.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: I've already prayed myself up.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Lord, open my eyes, give me understanding, give me knowledge that I'll understand this, that I will know you better, that I'll know who I am in you better, that I'll know your ways better.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: So we go to church hungry.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: We show up on our rise hungry, uh, rise and shine hungry.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: We're reading our Bible hungry.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: We take the time to meditate and we're hungry.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: We're not doing any of these things to just check off that, oh, I did this thing.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: No, we're doing every every one of these things to acquire knowledge.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: So it's the attitude, the attitude that is hungry for knowledge.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: And you may go like Dr.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Una, I ain't really hungry.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: I don't like to read my Bible, I don't like to read no books.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: But this is the thing: your life follows your mouth.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Your life follows your mouth.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: If you can be the person who says, I'm hungry, I desire to know God, I go after knowledge, I'm hungry for knowledge.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: When I show up in church, I lean forward, I'm leaning for the word of God.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: When I show up on the rise and shine, I'm there to grow in knowledge.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: I don't do any of these things as a routine, as a dead routine, as a dead ritual to get spiritual brownie points.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: I go there so I can grow in my knowledge of God.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: I want to know the will of God, I want to know the ways of God.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: I'm hungry for knowledge.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: That's the first thing.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: It's an attitude.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: When I read the Bible, I'm like, oh, so I'm not I'm not reading the Bible to defend the lifestyle I choose to live, looking for evidence.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I'm reading the Bible, looking for God.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: What does this say about God?
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: What does this say about who I am and God?
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: What does this say about God's ways of doing things?
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is where God does things.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: Monkey see, monkey do.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is true about God.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is true about me.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm hungry for knowledge.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's the first thing is the is the is the attitude.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: Is the attitude, and it's also the attitude of obedience.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: I don't learn to know.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: I don't, I don't know to know, I know to do.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: This book of the law shall not depart of your mouth, but you will meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Joshua 1.8.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: The whole purpose of the knowledge is so you can do.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: I don't learn to learn, I learn to do.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know to know, I know to do.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Because every time I know and do, I get a different result.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Every time I know to do, I get a different result.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, so the attitude.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: I'm hungry for knowledge and I'm quick to obey.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: I'm quick to do.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: I know to do.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know to know.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know so I can get amongst my friends and I'm quoting scriptures and they're like, oh my goodness, they know all these scriptures.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing that.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: I'm not knowing to show off, I'm not knowing to just fill my head with knowledge.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: I'm knowing to do, I'm knowing to obey, I'm knowing to adapt, I'm knowing to change, I'm knowing to transform, I'm knowing to be different.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: Second thing.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: So, first is the attitude.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: Second is I take advantage of all my resources.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: Guys, so this is somebody was asking where the scripture is.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: This is Proverbs chapter eight.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: Let me pull it up.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: Proverbs chapter eight.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: I want to show you.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: Now you understand this scripture.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: I want to show you what knowledge, what, what wisdom is doing, what knowledge is doing.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: So hold on, let me read it from the New Living Translation.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Hopefully they don't.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: Listen.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: This is what it says from verse one.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Listen as wisdom calls out.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: So wisdom, knowledge, I'm going to use them interchange in interchangeably.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: So wisdom, understanding, knowledge.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: They're not the same, but I'll use them interchangeably.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: So wisdom is calling out.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Here as understanding raises her voice.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: We understand is raising her voice on the hilltop along the road.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: She takes her stand at a crossroad by the gates at the entrance to the town on the road leading in.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: She cries aloud.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: I call to you, to all of you.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: I raise my voice to all people.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: You simple people, use good judgment, listen to me.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: I have important things to tell you.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: So knowledge is not silent, knowledge is crying out.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: So when we when we reject knowledge, we're ignoring the crying out.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: So how does this cry out?
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: It's your resources.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: What resources do you have?
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: When you go to church and the word is being preached, knowledge is crying out.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: That is not the time to be on Facebook.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: That is not the time to talk to your friend.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: That is not the time to be in the hallway doing stuff.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: That is not the time to do any of that.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: It's the time to listen to wisdom and knowledge and understanding crying out.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: When you sit down to study your word, it's not the time to do drive-by on Facebook.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: It's not the time to do.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: If you feel like when I read my Bible, I sleep down, I fall asleep, pick up your Bible and stand.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: You're not going to fall from the standing position.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: Stand, read it out loud.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: Fight, fight to hear what wisdom is telling you.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: When you have the opportunity to be on Arise and Shine, when you show up there, wisdom is calling out.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Understanding is calling out.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Knowledge is calling out.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: When we recommend books, for instance, people are like, How can I hear from God?
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: And we recommended a book, How to Hear from How to Be Led by the Holy Spirit by Kenneth E.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: Hagen.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: That book now is calling out.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: It's like knowledge in the book, calling out your church services, arise and shine, success by the book, Bible reading, meditation time, all of these things.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: It's all knowledge, crying out, crying out, crying out.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: So there's so much of a cry like, come learn, come learn, come acquire knowledge, come acquire wisdom.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: Say yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: Let your answer be yes.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: From today, and say this over yourself.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: Part of meditation is declaration.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: From today, I never reject knowledge.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: I never turn my back on knowledge.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: I'm constantly going after knowledge.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: I say yes to it.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm growing in wisdom.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: Do you know you can decide every day?
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: I grow in wisdom.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: You meditate in the word, you change.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: You meditate in the word, you change.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm growing in wisdom.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm growing in understanding.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm growing in knowledge.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm changing.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm being transformed.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: This is not your declaration.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: This is not your declaration.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, so number one, attitude, the right attitude.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Number two, take advantage of your resources.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: Number three, please hear me when I say this.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Number three is the call.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: God is giving you a call.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: What is that call?
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: Make others like you.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: You now value knowledge, help everybody in your world, your world value knowledge.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: You understand not to reject knowledge, help other people do the same.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: It can be as simple as sharing this video.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: It can be as simple as doing meditation together with people.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm doing with you right here.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: It could be as simple as when you're going to church, grab somebody else.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: It could be as simple as when you read a book, make somebody else read the book.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Notice I didn't say suggest.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Make them read it.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: Make them read it, right?
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: It could be as simple as, you know, when you when you decide to to read your Bible, we have a Bible reading challenge.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: Read four chapters of the Bible every day.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Grab other people, give them the gift of accountability, help them read it, share them, share your value system with other people and help them get it too.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna read a scripture here for you, and I pray you never forget it.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: This will change your life.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let me see.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I have to pull it up on my phone.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Uh let me see if this is either 1 Corinthians or 2nd Corinthians.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: It is 2nd Corinthians.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: I have it.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, pay attention to this.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: This is the reason why I made a commitment that there is nothing God will do in my life ever that will stop with me.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: You see, I learned about meditation, I taught everybody in my world.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: I learned about reading my four chapters of my Bible every day, I taught everybody in my world.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: I learned about the power of praying in tongues, I taught everybody in my world.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: Like everything God does in me, when he looks on the earth, he will see it in other people.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Let me show you where I got that motivation from.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: First, um, 2 Corinthians chapter 1 from verse 3.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Please pay attention and please never forget.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Like, God forbid that what you got today will stop with you.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: This is what it says.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: God is our merciful Father and the God of all comfort.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, verse 4.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Pay attention.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: He comforts us in all our troubles.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: Now, yes or no, is destruction as a result of a lack of knowledge.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Trouble is trouble.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: The Bible says God comforts us in all our trouble.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: In this case, God has delivered us from present and potential troubles.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, he comforts us in all our troubles so that so that we can comfort others.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: God is helping you now understand the power of accepting knowledge so you can avoid destruction, so that you can help other people avoid it too.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: What you got today, he gave it to you, is gonna bless you, but so that you can then take it and bless somebody else.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, so he comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others when they are troubled.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: We will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: What God has done in your life, he did it, is gonna bless you, but he did it so that you can go do it for somebody else.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: So what you got this morning, this afternoon, this evening, wherever you are, cannot end with you.
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: Cannot end with you.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: So what do we do with what we got today?
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Number one, adopt the right attitude.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: I go after knowledge, I'm quick to obey.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Number two, I take advantage of all my resources.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: Number three, I obeyed the call.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: I obeyed the call.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: And the call is that God has comforted me, God has taught me so that I can teach others, God has showed me the way to avoid destruction so that I can help other people do the same, so that there is nothing He does in my life that will stop with me.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, now this is what I want to leave you with.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: And and so so so now we we have taken up the we've decided we're we are going to fight to put an end to Christian illiteracy.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: When we don't know God, we don't know who we are in God, we don't know God's ways, we don't know anything.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: No, we are going to fight together to put an end to Christian illiteracy.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: We're gonna do that, okay?
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is the deal, dear brothers and sisters.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: I hope you guys can see.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: I love you, I love doing life with you.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Like we're meditating together.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: We spent one hour on one verse.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Who said the Bible's a boring book?
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Who came up with that foolishness?
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: We spent one hour on one book, okay, on one verse.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I love doing life with you.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: I love meditating with you, I love doing all this stuff with you.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: And this is what I want to leave you with.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: We are new now.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: We are now people who have the right attitude towards knowledge, and because of that, we will avoid destruction and we will set ourselves up for promotion after promotion after promotion.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: We are people who value the word of God, and because of that, we will be established in our destinies.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: God will not reject us as priests, God will promote us as priests, God will use us to touch his world.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: We are established in our destiny, and we are people who leave a legacy of blessings because God will bless our children, God will bless our offspring, and it's not just biological, spiritual, our mission fields, our people, our clients, and all of those things because we are people who went after knowledge.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: We are these people who now we'll take advantage of every resource.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: So every Sunday we go to church for change.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: Every time we read our Bible, we're changed.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: Every time we meditate, we change.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: Every time we show up on the horizon shine, we change.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: Every time we listen to we watch a video on success by the book, we change.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: And all of that.
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: And beyond all of that, we are people who will leave this huge legacy because we are people who have said yes to the call to end Christian illiteracy.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: We are the people who will now have 10, 20, 100, 1000, 10,000, a million people now going after knowledge because we sold them on it.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Imagine that life.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: That is your life.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter what it looks like now, this is your life.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Brothers and sisters, now we can change every day.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: We can change every day.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: We can get better every day.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: We're so pleasing in the sight of God because we're we're going, we're saying yes to knowledge when it shows up and then shouting, so we know him, so we know who he made us to be, so we know his ways.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: And if we take his ways and do his ways, we start becoming signs and wonders.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Because if we do things our way, that's average, that's great at best.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: But if we're going to be a sign and a wonder, we have to do things his way.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: So welcome to the great life.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: Welcome to a life of promotion.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Welcome to a life where you can change every day.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: There are 365 days in a year.
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine changing 365 times in one year?
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine what you'll be like?
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness, we are ah, what a blessing.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: What a blessing.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: So we are so blessed of God.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: I want us to throw up emojis.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: That's how we shout when we're together, just to thank him for his goodness to us, for his kindness.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: Those of you who are on Arise and Shine, you changed this morning.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: You had your own time with God, you changed.
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: Now we came, it's only 1 p.m.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: Eastern, and you've changed again.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: And this is our heritage.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: Like, we're not stuck, we're not victims.
- 45:50SPEAKER_00: We don't stay the same, we just change.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: So God bless you, love you, hold that picture because that's who you are.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: And I will see you on Horizon Shine bright and early, 6 a.m.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: tomorrow morning.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: And make sure you share this with everyone in your world.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: We have a mission.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: We're ending Christian literacy.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Love you guys.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: If this has helped you in any way, I would love for you to join the movement and share this episode with your friends, family, and the Christians in your world.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: By doing this simple thing, you could be changing the trajectory of someone's lives, their family, and their community.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: That makes you a world changer and they will love you forever.
