  Speaker 2: God is a gentleman, you know. I want to I

  Speaker 2: want to point that out to you. God is an

  Speaker 2: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.

  Speaker 2: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us

  Speaker 2: the power of choice. You know, if you say you

  Speaker 2: got it, I don't need you.

  Speaker 1: He lets you have it. If you say I need you,

  Speaker 1: come see about me. He right there. It's just a

  Speaker 1: real simple thing, man.

  Speaker 2: So always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself

  Speaker 2: into something, and please know I have.

  Speaker 2: I thought a couple of times, well might not make

  Speaker 1: But then if I don't make it past it, what's

  Speaker 2: And then I held on to this little thing that

  Speaker 2: my mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes

  Speaker 2: some when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,

  Speaker 2: she said, just hope It'll be all right, you know.

  Speaker 2: And what I've learned in my life is that hope
• 1:37
  Speaker 2: is the beginning of faith. Hope is just is there
• 1:42
  Speaker 2: possibility out there for me? I show hope, something happened.

  Speaker 2: See hope. Hope is okay, man, Because like I say,
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: for me, the way I've lived my life, hope was
• 1:57
  Speaker 2: the beginning of faith. It was just the idea. It's
• 2:01
  Speaker 2: just the thought that something could change for me, that
• 2:04
  Speaker 2: something could be a little bit different from me, that maybe, man,
• 2:08
  Speaker 2: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
• 2:13
  Speaker 2: could be rescued, things could turn around, it could hit
• 2:17
  Speaker 2: any other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe
• 2:21
  Speaker 2: somebody will forgive me, Maybe somebody will just say all right.

  Speaker 2: I don't know, but I can't count the times I've
• 2:28
  Speaker 2: been in that position. But then once I hope a
• 2:31
  Speaker 2: little bit, and then I remember also my mother, because
• 2:34
  Speaker 2: she was a Sunday school teacher, she taught me the
• 2:37
  Speaker 2: most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life. Nothing
• 2:41
  Speaker 2: has been greater in my life than my faith. She
• 2:43
  Speaker 2: taught me to pray. Mama used to say, when it
• 2:46
  Speaker 2: get real, dog for your son, prayer changes things.
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: She say when you seem.

  Speaker 2: Like you lost and you can't find your way, stop
• 2:55
  Speaker 2: and pray, she said, because prayer change is things. You know,

  Speaker 2: when you get a point in your life when you've
• 3:01
  Speaker 2: done all you can do and you can't do no
• 3:03
  Speaker 2: more and you just don't know what to do next,

  Speaker 2: she says, stop son pray and combine that prayer with
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: that hope that you got, she said, because that hope
• 3:15
  Speaker 2: is to beginning of faith, she said. If you pray
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: just hoping, she's saying, to God come through for you.
• 3:22
  Speaker 2: That'll give you confidence that he can do it again.

  Speaker 2: And then after a while, you quit hoping, she's saying,
• 3:28
  Speaker 2: you start believing, she said, And that's when you're on
• 3:31
  Speaker 2: to something if you can turn that hope into belief,
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: that hope into faith, the ability to believe in something
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: that you can't see. But the key though the faith
• 3:43
  Speaker 2: is you're believing in something that you can't see. See
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: hoping a little bit different from me now, I'm pretty sure,
• 3:50
  Speaker 2: like I say, oftentimes to tell a lot of people
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: who can explain this thing a lot better than I
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: can to you. But just from my side of it,
• 3:58
  Speaker 2: being as real as I can be, a be rich
• 4:00
  Speaker 2: you see.

  Speaker 1: Hope helps.

  Speaker 2: Man, If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
• 4:05
  Speaker 2: and then if you pray with some hope and God
• 4:08
  Speaker 2: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now the
• 4:17
  Speaker 2: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something
• 4:21
  Speaker 2: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: my entire existence, even when I didn't have any It
• 4:33
  Speaker 2: was faith, as I look back on it, that has
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: gotten me here, and not just faith, but my faith. See,
• 4:42
  Speaker 2: you will only get to where you're going in your
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: life based on it your faith.

  Speaker 1: See.

  Speaker 2: A lot of people get the word faith confused, like
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: what's your faith? And then they start going down this
• 4:55
  Speaker 2: whole list of all these different religions out here. But
• 4:58
  Speaker 2: really an essence, man, when I talk to people about faith,

  Speaker 2: I'm talking to you about your your belief. How much
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: do you believe in the unseen? How much do you
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: believe in the things you can't see? How much do
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: you believe in the impossible? How much do you believe see?
• 5:20
  Speaker 2: Because faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.
• 5:27
  Speaker 2: Faith is the core of all that is happening to
• 5:31
  Speaker 2: me today. It is the faith that I have in
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes,
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: if I stay on the right course and believe a
• 5:44
  Speaker 2: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.
• 5:50
  Speaker 2: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: little ways too. I've started to notice, see, it ain't
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: just a lot of people think blessings is money. Nah, man,
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: I get up in the sky and it don't be
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: no bad weather. You know this or this is favor.

  Speaker 2: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody
• 6:19
  Speaker 2: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity,
• 6:24
  Speaker 2: you know. Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but
• 6:28
  Speaker 2: I sent this to you. I thought you might be
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: interested in it. Somebody will send me a scripture, or
• 6:33
  Speaker 2: somebody will send me something that's favor, and it always
• 6:38
  Speaker 2: comes at a time when I need it the most.
• 6:41
  Speaker 2: That's favor that's pouring out blessings.
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: Now.
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.
• 6:49
  Speaker 2: You know, I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing. Man,
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: been blessed with the to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility. See,
• 7:04
  Speaker 2: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
• 7:08
  Speaker 2: in to God, once you tie in and you start
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: doing the best you can do, and you start asking
• 7:16
  Speaker 2: for Him to make you a better person, to help
• 7:19
  Speaker 2: shape and mold you into the kind of man or
• 7:22
  Speaker 2: person that he wants you to be. You be amazed
• 7:26
  Speaker 2: what God can do with you. Man, if you just
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: invite me in and allow him to be a part
• 7:31
  Speaker 2: of your life. I mean, what you got to lose
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: out there? Come on, if you're sitting in the cell
• 7:36
  Speaker 2: this morning, why would you not change? You have a
• 7:40
  Speaker 2: chance to turn your life around with a relationship with God.
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: What you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: it like that?

  Speaker 1: Huh? Really? Come on, man, why would you do that

  Speaker 1: to yourself?

  Speaker 2: Why would you not allow God to be a part
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: of your life so you can get the way he
• 7:56
  Speaker 2: wants you to be. God got some big plans for you.

  Speaker 2: If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up.
