- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: Smartchoicebest, where luxury meets affordability, guys, the quarterback battle is weighing on more and more every single tweet on the timeline.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_03]: We're at that point.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: We're past silly season, like Max, we talked about it all summer long, like, I don't know what we're doing.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: We're not.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: Did you not see the most?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: You think I'm just saying?
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is peak.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, well, the first question of the day was going to be not peak.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: How do you guys think Todd Monkin is handling the quarterback situation?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't think it was silly season, but is it?
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think it is, but I think he's handling it, great.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I'll pull up the exact quote, so I don't miss quote him.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_04]: But I watched some reporter try to essentially put words in his mouth or words that he didn't think he said.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_04]: He said, reporter, were you saying to Sean Waltz has gotten better since camp or that he's better than should or Sanders, Todd Mung's a long clip, but said, oh, I don't think I threw in there that he's better than shouldor.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not sure I went for that, but I appreciate, but I appreciate you trying to trap me in that, you know what.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_04]: So I think Todd Mungkin is a stand up to Cleveland media real well.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's been good to see.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, I think it's silly season.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think maybe not Pete, because Pete's silly season would be us talking about this when there's no practice going on.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: But,
- 1:45[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah, it's a big debate that will eventually get solved and I'm less than a month from now and I don't know.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's a lot, a lot of talk for a decision that's probably going to change by week five, week six, and a week seven.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is that season where like if you've ever heard of surgery and you know, you don't really have the good meds in your life, but you get these good meds and you're like kind of loopy after.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: and just start saying all type of weird dumb shit, right?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: And the topic of the day was Shoulder is gonna get traded, like we are right where we, you know, as Browns fans want to be, I guess.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: And that's right before the kickoff, all these dumb narratives that you think you can run with and try to pull out a thin air.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: I just love how Tom Monk and Monk comes in every single press conference and just kind of puts his foot down and kind of, you know, puts it to bed.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: The whole, uh,
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Rep thing where he was like, well, I kind of just felt like I heard that we didn't have the reps equally and this was just a moment to get to shine more riffs and that's all It was I didn't feel like having to come in here to tell you guys that either, so I think we are not your peak like he said, but we are definitely in silly seasons
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: So those comments that Zadras brought up Max about, but we all saw them the, okay, why did the Sean go first Saturday?
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I walked, so I thought that should I was gonna go first.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: I walked out, some guys pulled me over, they said, hey, reps aren't even.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: The Sean's going today.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: Today it's gonna be should or unless I walk out and decide differently.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what do you make of Todd kind of giving the, I don't owe you guys anything answer.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with him, I don't think he does.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_04]: I really don't.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like it's a quarterback battle, at least the head coach of football team is trying to figure out the best option.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: he is approaching it and transparently doesn't know us as fans doesn't know the media anything but an answer to a question that he will receive like he got questions about the reps and obviously answered them but like they're there in my opinion should be no world or needs to be a world where a head coach is going to walk out and talk to the media unprompted and be like hey
- 3:36[SPEAKER_04]: this is how the reps are being divided today.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: Hope you guys enjoy.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: Like he's head coach of football team is trying to get the best out of his football team.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he owes anybody the media anything in there.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, is there a good lock stuff here?
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's better than hearing.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: I understand your question, Jack.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, we're we're not going to get into that.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think you though.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's a breath of fresh air.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_04]: And there was a clip that came out a few days prior about him talking about like Deshan Stranks, Shador Stranks, like it's so refreshing in my opinion to hear a head coach speak so candidly about his quarterbacks, especially in the regime prior when that really was not the case.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like the even if it was the truth that was packaged in a way where
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, maybe the full details weren't being given.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: It was the best answer that could have been given at the time.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_04]: There was never, I felt a true candid response being like, this guy is great at A-B-N-C, whereas this guy is great at D-E-E-N-F. Like, I did not feel that the past five or whatever years.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's cool to see.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely cool to see because that, I mean, like, who was it?
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think Q.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he had one of those press conference or interviews on one of those podcasts and he talked about how Todd is just a true players coach and not saying that Kevin isn't, but like, I know this isn't a bash Kevin moment, but I know we all saw the mic up that just came out and I'm just sitting there like, man, I'm so ready to fall asleep like, I mean, then I hear Todd looking and I'm like, where's Bob and I'm ready to knock somebody else.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: So it is such a breath of fresh air and I really am kind of wondering though, like, is
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: Are you guys buying any merit into the whole Dillon Gabriel getting more second reps?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Is there anything to that?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: Are you buying any of the rumors where should Dork have potentially been moved on?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we've seen Andrew very move on from quarterbacks in trades pretty much every single year and almost at least it feels like it.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: What's your feel on that right now?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they got four quarterbacks and they're probably not going to take four.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_04]: I think we're on on on on on on on on on on on land like three months ago with Braden Vahoko and Braden was talking about it.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_04]: That should door.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_04]: I believe he said should or Watson might not be on the roster.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_04]: But he absolutely brought up the trade for shore standards like that being a potential route the Browns go.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if the Browns were to go that route, which I honestly don't think they do.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_04]: Like I, well, I'm sure we'll talk about, I don't think they're going to trade should or Sanders.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_04]: But if they went that route, it would make sense to get Dylan Gabriel more accustomed to the
- 6:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's some merit moving on from a quarterback, I mean we've seen it year after year, whether it's preseason, beginning of the regular season, like the complacency, there is no complacency, I should say, with the Browns quarterback room in terms of wanting to move on from guys that may not fit their bill right now.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I think Dylan Gabriel should or I don't think they're going to trade to Sean, like I don't think they'd find a partner, but I don't think it's crazy to think that one of those guys could get moved at all.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_04]: I think if you move on from
- 6:27[SPEAKER_04]: that they're taking that quarterback next year, no matter what.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: Probably 1,000 percent certainty you're taking a quarterback.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: You could win 11 games, you could win 12 games, they're going quarterback next year.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's, you can say the same thing about Don Gabriel.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think they trade no one.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_04]: I think so.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I still think there, I think it would be more a little bit closer of a, like a closed door, like, not as much of a closed door.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's still open, but I think if you move on from should, that's your biggest lottery ticket.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: No one's banking, you know,
- 6:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think Dylan had a legitimate chance to be the one we'd see more of him, right?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's why I'm wondering, like, he's getting more of a rest.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_04]: Is there anything to that should we buy into that a little bit?
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, yeah.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: The converse that the other side of that is, yes, I agree.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_04]: Shoulder is the bigger lottery ticket.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_04]: He's your fifth round pick, but the converse, Dylan Gabriel, you used a more prominent resource on him.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_04]: So like, I think it'd be more telling if the Browns moved on.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_04]: Not more telling, but I think it would tell a similar story if the Browns moved on from a third ground pick.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: at the quarterback position as well.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, but does not come into play where we knew that that was Kevin's guy and it was kind of like, well, that regime is gone.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: And this was, we drafted him for this regime.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: That wasn't Todd's guy.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think that's also starting to use him more though, it seems.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I, you know, trade bait for potentially.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, for lack of better phrasing, like Todd Munkin has said multiple times, he wants a professional to learn a screamage, like he wants a guy who can command things.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_04]: And, I mean, we saw it.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: I saw a bunch of bad,
- 7:50[SPEAKER_04]: pre-snaps stuff from, but honestly, both should or end a Sean Watson, but should or from the practices that I went to.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_04]: So, like, I do wonder, like, maybe Dylan Gabriel's handling that stuff better.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_04]: You got to have an elite cadence, right?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe he does.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: And we may not hear, we may not understand it right now.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: Like, there has to be reasoning behind Todd Mung and giving him more two reps.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's a trade thing.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but I think there is absolutely right.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: So let let me ask you guys that then and obviously we're not there Not none of us instruments seen every single rep that's gone down.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_03]: We're not gonna act like we have But at the same time you guys both got two practices in person last week We're getting more and more news over the weekend.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: We had the graphic up a minute ago like is to Sean starting to pull the way like that is kind of the rumor I mean regardless of what end up happening at practice yesterday because of what happened over the weekend.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys
- 8:34[SPEAKER_04]: off of what you saw from last week of practice and the limited amount you guys got did you see enough where was like okay yeah to shan is better than should our standards right now not well from what i saw i think it's reddit the practice i want to there was no mason gram frankly the interior defense line was just depleted and there was no cars with swesinger
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: the the middle of the one browns defense was getting gashed regardless of who was playing quarterback.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: And I said that it's the first day went to a Shidorah.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: He looked awesome.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_04]: The second day was to Shawnee through 1400 touchdowns or whatever it was.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: Like whoever was running on one offense against that depleted defense, especially between Hashes, just looked really good.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_04]: That was the reality of it.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_04]: Now I think.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: There are pros and cons from each of those days and you could say this guy was better at this this guy was better at that But like the two practices I went to both days should do it the ones the first day to Sean with the ones the second day They just dominated with the ones like I don't think there's been anything for them like oh that guy's way better than the other I really don't think so
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of agree with you said because it's kind of hard to get a real gauge on who's better with who when for once in our life.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: The weapons that we have, it's like Denzel Boston KC, Harrel Fanon, should have shouldn't even be on the same turf as the two's, three's and four's right now, because it's that much of a difference when they're on the field.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think you could go play quarterback with KC and Denzel Boston Harrel Fanon right now.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: They're that good right now.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like when I watch Shidore, I can't, I feel a lot more explosiveness, whereas Deshan he'll get you, not as much downfield, but he'll come across the field more with a little bit more title spiral, and he'll look more like a professional, whereas I'm looking at Shidore, and it's like, ball going in, buck it here.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: balls going over the top here.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: It may be over throw here, but he's going for those explosive plays.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I think when I think about with Todd Munkin has talked about in the type of offense that he wants to run, he really wants to be explosive and have a lot of points.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like she door fits that most.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of the who's taking the lead this and that, I sat here in this, I think it was either this chair or this chair.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, oh, I'm bought into the home.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a legitimate quarterback battle when in reality they had me in the first half.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: There was never no legitimate quarterback.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I think we were hood, wink, bamboozled and let us stray yet again.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think it was always going to be for at the helm, unfortunately.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because I really did believe at first that there was going to be some sort of battle.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I think when it's all said and done so far.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: You think there's nothing that should or senders could have done over the last number of weeks that could have led to him being the starting quarterback.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to say it every chance.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think this I didn't last year.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: Heck no, obviously I think this year he's been getting every chance and then some take QB one.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's made it and he's made it and he's made it a conversation for the exact reasons that I say when you look over the one day to Sean throws three interceptions and then you look over and she doors through four touchdowns.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: and two of them came from 30 yards, you know what I mean like those are how you close the gaps but then all it takes is one practice from to Sean to go seven touchdowns and it changed the narrative completely and make it feel like the Oz just went from plus to twelve hundred to plus one hundred.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think we're also using past tense without watching a preseason game and that's an issue.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_04]: yeah there's three full preseason games ahead of us and transparently it's a completely different game when the bolts are flying there guys are rushing you and literally trying to hit you don't have the non-contactors you want anymore like that's a completely different game and i don't think i think it is a legitimate battle but i also think we can be honest it was it is not was is Watson's starting job to lose there we go which i think is the truth but there's three preseason games and it sounds like there's going to be meaningful reps i don't remember if they said it was
- 12:09[SPEAKER_04]: the each get half for Shador start.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_04]: It's one to Sean start.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: They both get a start and I don't know how they'd alternate after each other's start, but there will be meaningful reps.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_04]: I hope with a lot of the ones, I'm sure the rookies will play in the pre-season.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_04]: That is what I'll be looking at.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_04]: You know, it wouldn't be shocked if the Sean was actually, I shouldn't even say that.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_04]: I would caution everybody not to read into who the first starter is.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_04]: Like I think that we can.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: take that with the grain of salt, but I think each quarterback is going to have meaningful reps in the preseason.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_04]: And to me, that's a whole lot more telling when you're going against a defense that is not the same defense you see in practice every single day who's trying to like literally get after you and hit you when you're playing quarterback.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_04]: I think we can't use past tense without and watch him preseason.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: I was just going to say it's so annoying though with that because we've seen this story before Shador came out against the Panthers and went crazy and then it was like oh well It's the Panthers 2s and 3s like I'm just trying to figure out what are people gaging the preseason off of because he they do it in practice Oh, it's not against it's not in pads.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's not live and he doesn't appreciate it.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's preseason like how are you gonna?
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: What are you grading them on then like what should we eat them for the brief snaps stuff for sure?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: First all the pre-stop stuff for sure.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: We can't talk longer than throw his heads at in the pre-season if somebody messed that up He threw his radio letter yesterday at the end of practice Which by the way, I didn't see anybody get a clip of that like I would have liked to see how his arm is with this whole quarter Yeah, dude, no, I could say you're I think I saw the internet like he's one throw away from entering the the quarterback How old is it you?
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, that was yeah, how about that?
- 13:37[SPEAKER_03]: I would be sure that he knocks like could right now.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go, but Guys, so yeah, you're you're breaking containers.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: Not that you already did it's the truth.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you never know
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so obviously this is maybe so Sicily season question.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: It is still August 11th.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_03]: Max, as you noted, we still have three full preseason games to watch these quarterbacks.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of time until we even need to address this question.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: But if you guys were Todd Monkin and it was August 11th and you were to Jimmy comes down your offices as hey guys, I need QB1, QB2, QB3, and I need exactly what's happening to QB4.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: What are you guys saying as if August 11th,
- 14:14[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I, it's kind of a cobout answer, but I think it's just Sean Shador, Dylan Gabriel.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: I probably didn't agree on the practice squad.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, at the end of the day, it's not a super prime resource you used on, used to get the guy.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_04]: That's fair.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's six around pick, right?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's tough though.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_04]: I also, like, for a quote, you don't often keep for quarterbacks, but I can see a world where tail and green is on the roster because Monk and loves the wildcat stuff.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe he wants to take some, uh,
- 14:39[SPEAKER_04]: take a load off of Quintion Judkins legs in the red zone or in short yards or something.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we saw Harold fans Jr. you know, sneak the ball last year you ran for a touchdown, but yeah, I would be surprised, I think, if it wasn't like that come week one, honestly.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't, I think there's a reality they trade one of the two second year guys, but I don't think it's likely.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I, I, you're, that was the most realistic approach that you can go.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go a little bit more delusion going here and go, uh, Dishon, Starter, Shador, to Dylan gets traded to Atlanta, yeah, tailing green stays and, and, and these number three.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_04]: It is really interesting just literally the build of some of these quarterbacks like Dylan Gabriel is a shorter lefty and you have guys who are bigger righties who should succeed in this monk and system.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously the marchax and I wouldn't qualify as like a big righty but he can at least move his legs.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like three of those guys to be fit the prototype of the munkin' offense, one of them doesn't.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_04]: But, who's gonna trade for Dylan Gabriel?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe the Falcons.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's- It's real out there, I mean.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I made a video right when Freyden started when they signed Tua, like that in the perfect third string quarterback.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's Kevin Stavansky, he's a lefty, you have Penix, Tua, and Dylan Gabriel.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like it makes it a little too much sense.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's lefty, too?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_04]: Penix's lefty.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's all lefty.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_04]: There's been ballspin in the other way.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_04]: But I do think there's a world where one of those guys gets traded, I just don't think it's likely.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_03]: So Zay, I wanted to ask you because we got a little clip here to play in a half a second from a Cleveland Browns legend, but you talked a little bit earlier about how you believe that there was never truly a quarterback battle.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like they had us in the first half knock and lie, maybe they pulled the wall over the sheep's eyes again here.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_03]: Cleveland Browns' legend in dog-pound Hall of Famer, Hanford Dixon, agrees with you.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: He came out of big, quickly with a live yesterday, and he said that he smells something a foot in the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition,
- 16:26[SPEAKER_04]: So where do you come out on all that?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: is bullshit myself because I think it's a way of saying the kid is dumb, I think that's a way of saying the kid is not too bright and I disagree with that.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hell, I never played quarterback a day in my life and I guarantee I could take it and I can get them up to the line, I could call the plays, and that's what he's been doing pretty much all of his life calling offensive plays.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: We have to face this too.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's a lot of people that don't like you should do it.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: When I talk about a lot of people, I'm talking about a lot of people in the media.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're much rather see Watson started quarterback rather than should do it because we've heard all the chatter.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: We've heard all people talking about, they don't like him because, you know, who his daddy is and who, uh,
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: uh... who he carries himself around with he's got a bunch of people on to rudge and all that kind of stuff uh... Chris i i i think a lot of that has a lot of do with where this chatter is coming from but uh... to answer your question i i just don't agree with it i think it's just i'm gonna say it again i think it's bullshit that uh... he can't get people up to the line he can't call the plays that is crazy
- 17:42[SPEAKER_03]: That was Cleveland Brown's legend.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_03]: Cornerback, Hanford Dexon, and that was in case you couldn't tell in reference to the pre-snap penalties that have been taken last couple of days, Hanford saying that he thinks might be able with an excuse for people that was called should work done.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: It might not be actually what's going on, that he thinks is a guy who played the NFL for 10-year career like Hanford had, and his current age, he could walk out there and yeah, I could probably figure out how to get them set the line.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you guys fall on what Hanford had to say about this quarterback competition or lack thereof?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_04]: Clarity.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_04]: other people were calling should or dumb.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: Is that what was used?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think anyone's called should or dumb.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think Hanford was saying that they're using the pre-snap thing as a way to build up should or not being the brightest guy.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, it's at least how I interpreted it.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: No, that makes sense.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I think to an extent I agree with Hanford, like just because you can't get, like get set of the line of scrimmage or the cadence is wrong or you're taking too long, whatever, maybe that is a learning curve that I honestly do think should do just as a second year player, not even talking about the college that he came from or the system he was in.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like that's what you have to learn in the NFL, so people talk, we're getting accustomed to the NFL.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you have to practice.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: In practice?
- 18:53[SPEAKER_04]: Believe it or not, yeah, you got to learn it now and to Sean Watson's been in the NFL for I don't even know how long probably close to a decade at this point, right?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_04]: Like the Sean Watson has been in systems He's not been with Todd Munkin, obviously, but he's been in professional systems longer than Shidorah Sanders And it's also worth noting that Just Sean has not been perfect in that regard either like he said pre-snap penalties It's a new cadence to new system.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_04]: There's going to be growing pains, and I'd much rather be having these growing pains than or now in early August now, but late July early August then
- 19:23[SPEAKER_04]: late August early September into the fall with that being said I do think there's some truth in what Todd Munkin is saying about the readiness of his starting quarterback week one Whereas if you have a second-year guy and nobody's calling the second-year guy dumb if he doesn't know the cadence properly if there's a fall starter Whatever nobody's calling them dummies just hasn't
- 19:41[SPEAKER_04]: fully been accustomed to the system perfectly yet, neither is the Sean Watson.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to pick Guy who he feels like more is more ready.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: And my guess would be the guy who's more ready, unless there's a huge stride that's made this off season, would be the guy who's been in the NFL for almost a decade, instead of the one who's entering his second year, like I think two things can be true.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the Sean Watson literally came out and said that he feels comfortable in Todd's offense because it places the heavy responsibility on the quarterback and he compared it to the systems that Bill O'Brien used in Houston.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: So there you're giving him an edge up already and I'll top of the experience like the Sean should be ahead.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, something like this, especially when you bring in an entirely new often.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: Should or just had to learn Kevin's
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: could jacoby couldn't learn it.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: Flackles, the only one to make magic out of it like you put all these quarterbacks of the FASCY system.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Clearly, it's not the easiest.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: You've talked about the linemen.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: Go back to the offensive linemen, talk about how they wanted to switch to an open run scheme.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: They changed then entirely different system.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: So Shodora had to learn that, get thrown into the fire at eight games.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're saying, hey, we're going to fire that coach.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: Now you got to relearn this entire new system with Todd Munkin.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like,
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: I would expect him to have some sort of this, uh, learning important.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's the case.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: We got an absolute steal in the fifth round, right?
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, uh, I just don't understand where practice is made for you to fail, so you can see, come game time.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: And, and we, so when things go bad, it's all all hell on earth.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: But when we hype up these catches that we see, and we see all of these good things that happen, now it doesn't matter.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: So like, that people are just picking and choosing when these situations apply to fit their narrative.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_04]: absolutely.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's like it's not peak silly season, but that is the aspect of brown straining camp where it seems like almost every year there is a legitimate debate about quarterback or the quarterback in the offense where you're kind of grasping at straws here for for something for
- 21:34[SPEAKER_04]: an opinion for a belief, honestly, for hope and optimism, as well, like you want to hope in one of these quarterbacks, like I think all things considered every Browns fan would want to see one of these quarterbacks just run away with the quarterback battle, not close at all, right?
- 21:48[SPEAKER_04]: And because that hasn't happened yet, I think people are starting to even more strongly believe the side they previously believe.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_04]: I also do think
- 21:56[SPEAKER_04]: saying that should door is dumb or you know isn't there mentally because he hasn't fully adapted to a new system in a second year in the NFL is a dumb argument.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a dumb argument.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: Max, your lips to God's ears.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's all we can pray for here over a big, big Cleveland live.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to take a quick break.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: That was the Cleveland Hadline segment proxy by Spark choice best.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: Don't go anywhere.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be right back with Phil Taylor to talk some preseason headlines.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome on back in to Big Play Cleveland Live and hey, it's Jack O'Rourke.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_03]: Chef say a max little, but guys, we got a big edition and it is still tailored because guys, we're official.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: We've been talking about football being back for so long.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: We all got to watch Carson back last week, like we're like, okay, football's like basically back.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: The Cleveland Browns, the suit up and play football this week.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: We are officially back in football.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: And that means we got to talk about this preseason game coming up.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_03]: First, overall, so guys, first question because we got to get into the quarterback
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: How much do you look into what a quarterback does in a preseason game versus the videos you're seeing coming out on Twitter from practice?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: Preseason game, that's when the, you know, the bull is a fly, you know, practice is more scripted, the defense is going to, you know, let some things go, you know what I mean?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: And in practice, really?
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: the offices coaches, like they get mad when the difference is getting in the assumption.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, you know, kind of let the offense win.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: But this is where you get to see things in a pre-season.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: So when you're looking at a QB in a pre-season, you're going to see what you're going to get in a season most likely.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that's if it's good on good.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, one's on one.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: You really can't tell if a QB is going against the third string and in guys that are on the bubble, you never know.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously the the the big elephant and Cleveland Roar is the quarterback conversation how as a player what do you want or not even as a player player coach, whatever fan.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: What do you wish or should or right you all of the above what are you looking for to for should or like if you want to win this job, how do you win it in these preseason games.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: doing his job, you know, controlling what he can control, not trying to do too much.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And just be in hell.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, don't go out there, you know, trying to do everything everybody else can do.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: Be you, do what you can do control what you can control and make the play when it's necessary.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_04]: I also think like we've we've harped on a couple of times Todd Munkin wants the professional Elias Grimidge wants to take care of the ball at the run game help him like don't always have to play hero ball, right?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_04]: And I feel like I feel like like one of the bullets for flying when it's live when they're again people literally trying to sack you.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_04]: It is a really really good watch to see how you operate under that like if you're if you consistently you're getting pressured or you try to make throws that you don't normally make like that's a good thing to watch as well.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, I wanted to ask you about when you were playing as well when it comes to the preseason.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a difference in how you approach a preseason game versus a regular season game?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_03]: Because like there is the element of like, okay, hey, like maybe this guy's right behind me.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_03]: Like, do I want this guy to get it?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: Like, obviously you want your team to do well.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: Like, okay, like this guy who's running with the second team right now, who might become from my job, like, he just got a sack or, like, I just did this, like, how is this kind of, how is this guy going to respond?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: Like, how,
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: What is it like being in a game where your teammates doing well can hurt you in a way?
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: Because I think it doesn't happen in a real game as much as... Um... Maybe I didn't look at it like that.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_03]: You know, when... Not a selfish guy.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: When, uh...
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: When I was playing, and you know, I had guys that were drafted after me.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Billy Wind, John Hughes, uh... Danny Sheldon.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys out there, if I wasn't on the field, those guys were out there making plays, I'm excited for them.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're a team at the end of the day.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: you know what what you know goes on with me and you know my playing time or if I'm on my way out the door that's me you know what I mean I got to control what I can control I can't be a you know a bad apple and and taint everybody else or you know have any type of disrespect towards somebody because they're you know making plays
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: for you guys on the Browns.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: This is an open up afford to everyone.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: This is not just Phil Everon's got this one.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, who is the Cleveland Brown?
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to go excluding quarterbacks because we could sit up here and talk about the quarterbacks for a billion years until they finally name who the guy is.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: We've done them there justice.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Who excluding the quarterbacks, do you guys think has the most to gain?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_03]: Or are you guys just the most excited to watch this preseason?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's two different questions.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: The answer both.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_04]: Most excited to watch Rocket Sanders from what I've seen in practice.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_04]: I'm with you like I'm excited to watch him too and I actually think he probably has more to prove.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_04]: But he, Rocket Sanders has some juice.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_04]: He's involved in the past game that has not go down on first contact.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: To me, obviously Todd Mungon said so much success with Derek Henry, but he's also had a lot of success with guys like Keaton Mitchell when he's healthy, Justin Hill, who are different players and rocket Sanders, but he uses multiple running backs and has that committee approach for a lot of what he does.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_04]: But I am really excited to see if rocket Sanders can make the most of his opportunities because I think he's going to get them.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: 20 you said rocket because it's almost weird how the Browns have two of the same similar styles like Q rocket Dylan in a money marshal I am a huge a money marshal fan I don't know why what it is, but it's almost like the Carson Swesinger effect like when I saw a Carson there was something that jumped out on tape.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: When I watch a money marshal get the ball out of the backfield, he just has this bolt of speed that just that's you can't teach that speed.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: he sees so good hold and go where he needs to go to.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: So that's gonna be a good battle.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think one, most excited to see dope.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see a man you have made, Neil, we're all alike.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: This dude, I think we finally got, you mentioned like, I love me, Grant Delpit.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I'm a big, grand Delpit guy.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: We've had TJ words of the world.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: We had Tasha on gifts of the world.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: But like, when you look across the AFC North and you got Troy Palamalu and you got Ed Reed's in the world,
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: Emmanuel gives me that feel where we gonna look up a few years from now and be like he's one of the ones how much money we give and I'm giving it and let's just get this done so I'm excited to see what he's going to do this preseason and there's a probably like four other players but Emmanuel's number one yeah I like them
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying this year, probably a fanning, you know, a fanning and sweatshinger.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like those two and a close third, you know, would probably be Graham.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the jumps that they made last year plus, you know, this offseason with Todd Munkin and the new defense and stuff.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think there'd be great fan and he's a dog, you know, I can't wait to see if he's like one of the, you know, top two receiving targets for this team.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: But why I was even wise, I think a lot of you guys better get ready for Boston.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think he's going to be a beast.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think so too.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think the practice we were at was that last one's like a week ago.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he was about an uncoverable uncoverable and what's crazy is like he's all over the formation.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_04]: He's six foot four like he's, you know, the typical outside guys running Jets.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: But he's all over.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he's all over the formation or Sever who I'm looking at who I actually think has probably the most to gain.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_04]: I love Luke Floria.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_04]: Cage Larva Dan was
- 29:16[SPEAKER_04]: really, really good last preseason, but really last season when he got his reps, and he looked awesome, awesome in the practice that I saw.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_04]: So to Luke Floria, and I think there's a, there were both of them around the roster.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_04]: But Gage Larvinen was the one for me, where I was like, he was consistently making plays, regardless of who he was playing quarterback, regardless of it was the ones or the two's, and he fits that for lack of a better comparison, Zay Flowers roll
- 29:45[SPEAKER_04]: over 70 catches across all three seasons in Baltimore.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, Casey Concepcion is going to be the main guy.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_04]: And I actually think Jared Judy's going to be a guy that moves around the formation a lot too.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_04]: But beneath them, I think it's one of those two guys, Gagehorre Van or Luke Florias, but really both.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_04]: But Gagehorre Van and me caught my eye.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it sucks because like...
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: Usually we're talking about them.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: We need receivers like we almost got too many miles to feed right now We need even mentioned said your tool man.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's still he's just three specimen that still can go up and he's just got stay healthy But like when you look at there's something about gauge and I think it's the comparison that we gave that we wanted to give Jamari thrash when when he was drafted where they said Jamari thrash had a neck for finding the open space Gage has that neck for finding open say every time I watch him go across the middle of the field He'll find a way to just be open
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: But Luke, he offers that he can't, I don't know why it seems like can't produce his six foot and under athletes, but like he gives me that Danny M. and Ola, Julian Edelman type of field, and he was getting first team ups and back to back days and camp.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: So he's he's going to put a lot of pressure on guys like I guess I'll ask you, who is the oddman?
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: Is it Cedric Toman?
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Who's that on the rope guy that we should be looking at?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you go down the list, it's
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: Boston, Judy, Larvadan.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Malachi, Corly, Talon Wallace, Luke Florian, that's seven.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_04]: Walls is interesting too, because he was in Baltimore and provides a lot of, got to cut from somewhere, right?
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: Got to cut someone, but Talon's gonna make the roster.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way Talon's not making the roster.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's set in stone.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're right, but I don't know.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's had a good camp.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: They brought him in here to be a retirement.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_04]: Tyler, Tyler, Tyler Wallace.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_04]: I though he meant Talon Green.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, Tyler Wallace, I think will too.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's you don't think green to make it?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, it depends if they take four quarterbacks.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like, they, they'd have to, I think would have to move off.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_04]: I'm taking tail and over, over, eight.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: You and me both, but what are they going to do with tilting Gabriel?
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Drive the trailer.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if anybody would trade for him.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_04]: I would say, said you're too much, almost immediately said you're too much odd men out, but if Todd Munkin is going to build this offense around a six foot whatever guy on the boundary, who else do you have if Denzel Boston goes down?
- 32:08[SPEAKER_04]: Like, tell men is the guy.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like, that to me makes just from a body standpoint.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_04]: Makes me think that's how I hold them.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_04]: It's got to be one of the slot guys.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_04]: Probably larvae down here for you.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's got to be one of those things.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, aren't they both on the cusp, then?
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's, or Corly, it's Corly making this rock?
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_04]: That's, he probably would group in with them.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_04]: Corly fits the monkey system so well, especially with all the sticks or six guys that do that's the thing that that's a great Great problem to have because Concept is probably give you the number one and then Isaiah Bonne will be right beneath them in those situations So it's like it's though it's the two rookies Judy Bonn It's probably two more two or three time wallets and then two more
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know that's it's tough call to tough call and maybe they do take four quarterbacks and they can't even afford to take They have nine potential guys on this roster right now again good news nine
- 32:57[SPEAKER_04]: But you know what, we've come such a long way for that.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_04]: This time last season where we were talking about guys like the Dante Johnson, like it was, we tried to buy it.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_04]: I honestly, from what I saw in practice, I did buy it.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_04]: I thought he was good, I thought he was good.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_04]: But regardless, yeah, it's a difficult spot to be in and I'm fascinated to see just the roster construction, how they do it, like I think they would have, I probably have to move off a quarter but I just don't know who would take one of them.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: guys, it is a Cleveland, it cannot stress us enough.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_03]: The Cleveland Browns do, in fact, once again, play football this week.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_03]: We all need to be ridiculously excited and ready to go.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: So, Phil, I wanted to ask you this for your playing days, Max and Zay as fans slash journalist, Big J. journalist.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_03]: What is your guys' favorite Cleveland Browns game day tradition?
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: We're filled together if you have one from your post playing days, you're like more than from when you played.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's, it was just the same for me.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you roll onto the stadium, start getting ready, but it's not like, maybe Cleveland needs to start a new to this and where, you know, the fans welcome to players in like a big crowd or something like a tunnel.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, a little tunnel.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: We, uh, when we left the hotel before the games, it was like this weird ass route.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: We would always go through and we would go through all the tailgates and all that stuff.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that's cool.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_03]: It means different than I felt because everybody bringing themselves to the game.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: But, uh,
- 34:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like Browns fans like say it's like say we did the walk because like a lot of colleges do that like Notre Dame is a similar concept like if the Browns are like Three in ten and it's like December like there's gonna be beer bottles That's the one thing about our fan base though like it
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: from highs you could I could see where you're going with that.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: But bronze fans don't do that to their players like that.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know we had the the Sean Watson thing with the Achilles where you could probably go to.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_02]: But for the most part, we handle functions like that.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, who do you know can throw an O and 16 parade in negative 20 degree weather and pull it off and pull 5,000 fans in for that.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: Browns fans would, if they were only 10, one in 10, they'd have signed the opportunity to get drunk.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's another opportunity for them to all get up together and do a, you know, I bet you they could do that.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: For real, if the Browns want something, there's no reason why they can't get them off of on 55th, bringing them up the boulevard, and let them just drive their cars down the munilot, and let them get all of the love because that's
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to get any more civilized drunk fans than the Munilod and you get the the vibe.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's nothing better than that vibe.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_04]: So number one, I would worry about like, let's say the tab in this conversation last year.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_04]: I would worry about a walk in with the whole team.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_04]: People with liquor in their system and guys like Kevin's fans, you walk.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_04]: I would worry about.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_03]: I would.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: I actually, true.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you would have to like, you would have to give Kevin Sothanski as much like C.O.T.M.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: Like, so like, I don't think C.O.T.M.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think C.O.T.M.S.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.T.M.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: How many swipes did it take you like how many you know like the like the licks to the center of a lollipop like how many gets our smashes Three because they make they say make it to three it could have been one, but they say making it Oh, this so they want you to build you they want you to build that see that's what you don't know that's you don't know until you get to do it Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be the dog pound captain
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so it's like a big, like, so some people when you see them up there struggling with it, that's not for show.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: They probably are struggling because our our guy, I think Booby did the Cardinals game when Clayton tuned started.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: It would have been a memory of three years ago.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: You're at that game.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: It was a herkily an effort to get to get through it that day.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 37:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, what would be if you could add a pregame tradition or if you
- 37:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to think of what like see what I was going to say game day tradition obviously it's post games I don't know if it counts but going to a game I mean I've talked about a map around here a map or a map after I think it's great if you're going so a lot of people there watching the late slate of games getting the pizza together really love
- 37:23[SPEAKER_04]: Really.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we gotta take you this year.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta go, you gotta pull up this year.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: I got to I got to live out the fan Experience through the moon the moony light before it's gone.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yes I mean my traditions always been kind of the same yeah like game day wake up you're probably up I mean if you're home game it's different than a way game home game up early
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in on the side of the road Saturday night.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll probably get down there Saturday night on the side of the community lot at like 10ish 7 to 10ish somewhere around there sleep on the road wake up at 5 a.m. pulling to the
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: Probably up around seven eight o'clock just off adrenaline got to do the traditional video of the first video of the day Which was the game day gritty got to figure out something new because I don't know if I'm bringing it back this year Then that that buffer from like nine to 12 You've got a check fantasy.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to set some parlaze and you've got to make sure all of your ducks are in a row So that way when game time comes around that 12 30 12 45.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, you can just be in front of the TV
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: and you're ready to go.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, that's, it's a pretty simple way to start my little, my five dollar lottery, uh, 20 leg poorly.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's what you guys, so that's more important.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: You got to wake up.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_03]: You got to wake up.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: You got to get the car and turn on the, here we go again, Cleo and Brown.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to get to the Cleo Browns and it's first and time.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: Go through that on, go to Dunkin, get your coffee, place all the five dollar parlays.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_03]: And then that's, that's how you, I think there's no better way to start.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_04]: And then it's all downhill from there.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's all downhill from
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: it's so funny because before Ohio became legal with all the gambling stuff you had to go to press skyle right so I would try I would wake up eight o'clock nine drive hour and a half to press skyle right that place the beds the casino out there my Pittsburgh no no eerie
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we're our 10 away.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I've all the way to Prescott by the time I get there, you mentioned those $5 parlayslifts.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: There was always, and I kid you not always the same like group of 20 people.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: Not all together, but it's the same group of guys.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: And they'd have 10 sheets.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: I kid you not probably, wow, two feet long, of just,
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: And they want to phone like, yeah, just put just one 20-layer parlayer and I'm just like, bro, what are we doing here?
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: But that was like every Sunday.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: Two quick things I want to talk about with you guys before we get into today's draft, which is a secret, and we're not going to reveal yet, our guy Al Thonser who listens in every single day, we got to give him a shout out here, he has a thought and a question.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: So we got a little too part of for you guys.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's hear it.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_03]: The thought first to bounce off you guys is Xavier talking about the wider severs and who we think will make it, who might get left out of that wider seaver room.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_03]: Al Thonser was saying that Thailand Wallace and Malachi Correlier, the two most likely did not make it.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you guys sit on that thing?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little bit.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_03]: out on Thailand wallets not really team just because no on him not making the team oh yeah just because I think why bring him in he's always like the gerium grant or the uh... gosh who is the guy here before they brought in as like a kick part returner uh... marking grand mark he's going to be there's a team grand sharing basketball player uh... market mark he's going to be where do you guys sit on that
- 40:41[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I agree with you.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, well, I shouldn't say, I don't know why they'd bring tile walls in.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_04]: That's a guy who can help people he's been in there before.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: But he's a gamer.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he's made big plays.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he's been in the monk and system.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's brilliant.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_04]: He also, yeah, and he understands the intricacies I think in the past game will probably be from those guys who were consistently in motion.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_04]: And he was one of those guys.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_04]: So it at least helps to have somebody who's been there before and I don't know if monk and could have off top of my head brought somebody else in.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_04]: he's special team, he's going to help out like I think he thinks that's to keep him.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_04]: Corly, I'm not so sure though, like I think there are there are questions between him, Larva Dan, Floria, like all those guys, and it also depends on how much or how many you keep.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, for two reasons, I think number one, he's been in the league for six years.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: So that's another vet that you had with Jerry Judy.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that he's been in the time monkey offense, that's that's a guy who's going to help your young two studs know what Todd monkey wants to see when he hasn't been a number one.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: So Tyler was isn't coming into being number one.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: He wants to give the juice that he's got from the top monkey system to Casey and to Boston.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: So he's good.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think Corly that is going to be the guy that you really have to figure out if you want to let go because I believe he was a was he a second wrong pick.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: He was a higher pick wasn't he was at the at least did to pick all check.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was a higher pick and from what we see last year He was anytime he touched the ball.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: He was good for ten like I knew if he was getting that jet speed He was good.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that gauge and Luke have made this conversation so tough and if I'm scheduled to him And I have to perform that that these preseason games.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: I have to go out there
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: and then Phil Elfanzo had a question for you specifically.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not college though, wasn't on the NFL.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: Who is your college quarterback to watch at the year?
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this year.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, uh, man.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: Probably a manning, maybe.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: Arch.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_03]: Arch?
- 42:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's always been CJ Carfield.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: You got to, you got to get him.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_03]: Rhys?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: where o reo marsal read marsal read and now he's a he's really good to read read uh... they're saying they got from organ is a don't say more i mean he could have gone top five you know who else they're saying they could be kid
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: from Merlin this year.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: Believe Washington, he's so good.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: This will be a stud.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, not draft wise, but, you know, to watch.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: He is one more year before he could even, I think he has to come back anyways.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I see her because he was a true freshman.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_04]: Last year could help me get down on some of them.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_04]: I would watch Niko.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_04]: I had a never pronounce.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm Eomaliava.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_04]: Eomaliava, who now is under the tutelage of Derek Carr at UCLA.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: Derek Carr is hired.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_04]: I believe it was like a special advisor rule.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_04]: Derek Carr now at UCLA.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's a lot of infrastructure there.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, oh, do you mean Derek or David is that other of my head?
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: No, it is Derek car.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: No way.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Derek car who I honestly thought was going to play in the NFL this year.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, Derek car now was consulting with their whatever his role as I don't know it is.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_04]: Just came out today.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's the last, right?
- 43:44[SPEAKER_04]: No more readers.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: New Orleans.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, I because he had the MVP car first two weeks.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you look for good about that.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all right guys.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: Right and I thought it's something a little fun here.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you can see this picture on your screen of Todd Munkin, he's rocking the the call sheet in the shorts, which is a very.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_03]: specific look.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: You don't tend to see that look anywhere else besides a football field.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: So you're going to give that a football guy a tire because you're not going to see anyone else in the world rocking a call sheet in the shorts.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to go around the room and get your guys thoughts, uh, a little draft on what you guys think is the best football guy a tire.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_03]: So max, if you want to go first, go.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel like you want to have the best understanding of the concept.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: So I was going to go with you first.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to max Zay Thill and then I'll finish it off.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_04]: I'm between two, but I'm going to go with a sleeveless hoodie.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's a great.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_04]: Good call.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_04]: Great call.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go straight up close.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: A straight or a D, I think a D, C can rock it, too.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_04]: D, C, D. I think the linebackers go to defensive side of the ball, a tire.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: But there's no receiver's coach in the world's rocket.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go with the infamous starter windbreaker.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, we'll throw back a little.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, it has to be the classic one though.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you know, I like that I'm gonna go with The place sheet hanging off the side of the hat.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: I like that here.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah The little matte matte Patricia almost in a way.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going with I mean, we're all starting to go during this summer max But I think it's got to be the bucket.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think it absolutely has to be the bucket hat like you just I think
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: A defensive coordinator automatically is five percent better if you have like the summer getty images for all of our graphics really got like the bucket hat on just like roaming down the sidelines.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's how you know you've got to football coach on your hands in my opinion.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_04]: Any honorable mentions because I'm thinking right now of two that I probably would throw up there.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like I'll top my advisor for sure.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_03]: Viser guy being an advisor.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_04]: But also the big Oakley sunglasses.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_03]: like baseball players aware of what the huge little pit fibers really big yeah fibers yes those are definitely like those are definitely football to yeah and then this is just a out of curiosity I was making a guy in road to glory I have a question for filetailer fill if you were playing right now what what i black formation would you use crosses
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: The cross is one cross or two, both okay, I like that.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: What about you guys I would honestly go traditional I black traditional I black yeah, say you'd be So I used to be an I black guy, but I don't think I'm an I black guy any more Really, but if I if I think I had to choose though, I kind of maybe like the the just the smear the smear one the bagel share Yeah, I hated the actual like the real black.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: I used to like the strips.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'll use strips.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of you Oh Okay, yeah
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: I like that like stickers.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's not even realistic enough to think of me playing football to give my answer on I black So we're gonna take a break down big play Cleveland live.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna be back.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: Don't go anywhere We're talking to Cleveland Guardian season on the line into Troy.

- 48:04[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, if you noticed, I don't know if you did or not, I might have been a little bit more
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like my mind is a little bit more trained on the Browns and it normally is, you know, me, like I'm a little space cadet that likes his baseball over here in the corner.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_03]: The reason I'm thinking about the Browns is because they, this Cleveland Guardian season is so deep in shambles that it's not even funny.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: You go out, so Zay, here's where I'm trying.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_03]: Look, let me paint this picture for you.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: Every time the guardians go out and spend money or make a big trade, if it doesn't pay off, they're like the mouse that gets the zap on the cheese.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: They never come back, right?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: They aren't coming back around.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: It will be at least another five years until the guardians truly buy it to trade deadline.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: If this team bottoms out over the next month and a half post trade deadline,
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: It has been ugly.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: You get swept by the Met's last week.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: You have a chance against Chicago over the weekend.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: You take the first one.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_03]: Your bullpen just kaputs the last two days.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: Now you have a massive chance against the Tigers who have weirdly been playing a better since trading tariff schoolable.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_03]: You're on the road.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: Say, this is one of those weeks that like
- 49:12[SPEAKER_03]: Transcend sports whether you're a football guy a baseball guy a basketball guy a hockey guy a soccer guy Anything under the sun you have to win at least two out of three this week What is your message for the Cleveland Guardians because you said this was your year You're gonna make baseball where you're becoming a big guards guy.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_03]: What is your message for this team during this final run to hang on?
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: I need the clip of that we say that out.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm more so going on with you, I'm sitting next to you.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it was Thursday, eight August, six.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, is the season, I'm like, what's going on with the guards?
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Are you nervous?
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, you're like seasons over after the way they lost that six to five, the buckle on that Wednesday night.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then they go on to lose one, two, three games out of the four after that.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: so like you've got me convinced that this is all over when just last week like you when you make these clips you need to go back and do that little pan off where it's like previously recorded on big play.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh and then you going in of a how excited we were.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: I was so excited.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_03]: And I was so excited.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_03]: So what like I mean is it how many games are you excited if they take two or three this week I will be re-excited.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: Even if it's against Detroit.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, dude, Detroit's playing good ball.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: They've passed us now in the A.L.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_03]: Central after they had like a putrid terrible, no good, very bad start to the season.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_03]: They climb all the way back even after trading school and they pass you.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: That's where you're in an issue now today is we kind of entered the deadline with the way the A.L.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: has been set up all year long, with like so many teams struggling to even fight to stay around 500.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_03]: nobody playing particularly good ball the teams at our playing good ball like obviously there's the race but like they're the red stocks have come on as of late as they've got a little bit healthier like the Yankees have newfound injury issues like that's it seemed that isn't quite totally up to staff right now you thought like okay like Ryan I said this literally on Fridays episode we were talking about it like if you keep the car on the tracks like you know like if we if we just stay straight here for a month
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to be fine.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to play off.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_03]: You turn around.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_03]: We're here on Tuesday.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: You're four games out of the AL central, which is a terrible terrible terrible baseball division.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_03]: And now your two games are the wild card, which like anyone in their mother could be hanging around in this wild card race right now is they like you absolutely have to go out there and find a way to win baseball games.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's been such like a...
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: it's been this weird thing we're like the days where you are getting the patching like the bats just go away like the well and those are the days have been few and far between the days where the bats are showing up where like where the day where Nathaniel low hit that three run home or and you start to bounce back last week against the meds and those last game of the series and the bullpen comes down blows like over the weekend like every time you know who enters the game it seems like you're giving up three runs within ten seconds and he was your big
- 51:49[SPEAKER_03]: deadline bullpen addition like it's it's just everything is going wrong and it seems like it's almost like those years with the browns where it's like oh like hey baker and them figured it out oh shit Joe was in the defense stink or oh like this is the best defense we've hadn't forever okay to Sean's gonna get hurt and you have 40 year old Joe Flacco like it's just it's nothing is mashing right now.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just sounds like they need Jose to just wake back up, you know, obviously is that are you nervous at Jose's hammy or whatever the it was a hammy the hammy the hammy the hammy is the hammy bone in the hand.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very it's a good a tongue twister.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it's I mean, is that myself wrote this in the athletic and we saw it with the last time this happened Jose back in 2017.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: it's an injury that historically kind of zaps your power a little bit like Jose came back ironically and his first game from the hand made the last time and hit two home runs but that's not in the case so far.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he does not have an action.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: He had one over the weekend so he does have an extra base hit to his name since he came back off the list but he only has one like he did.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah he has a couple of your eyes but the main thing was one.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, which is not great, and I think it's now like 50-ish it baths like when you have this you have this great deadline But it was more so like okay to laud her Martinez and Ramirez all go down within what like three endings of each other a month and a half ago Like you needed those guys to come back and respond from injury when they got hurt CDL came back He's been very solid like you've gotten next to nothing out of Jose and on hell who did to his credit Hey, hit that huge grand slam over the weekend in the game at day one So hopefully that is the start of things changing back around for on hell because if you're adding a guy to
- 53:21[SPEAKER_03]: I like every day.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like Angie.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_03]: If he's a guy who can be a switchheader and give you more death to the lineup, I mean, that's another guy where it's like, oh, hey, like if you can play him, Rokeo, Hannao, Bailey, every day, and that's four switchheading bats in addition to Jose Ramirez, like you have a very lengthy lineup where you're no longer worried about having nine lefties in it, like you were for a deep portion of this year.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, thankfully for the guards, the schedule gets a little bit favorable, right?
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that could be something that could get the juices flowing.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, maybe the pressure of a get weighed off a little bit.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_02]: People start paying attention to the browns that guards can guard, you know what I'm saying?
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: They can get on the road.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's when they're at the end of the guy you're right the guys like the injured turtles like they just like they look at their vigilantes they did their best work when no one is caring about them what's the right and then I'm told we're sure around next week you look up it'd be like oh my god they won 15 out of the last 20 here they are storming for the AL Central like this.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: We're right on par for a magical run, like honestly get it out now, because if they would a peak now, then you get in the August, you lose all your juice, then we've seen that.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, last year.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you had to peep to early get into the playoffs in the first place, but yeah, it's a different story this year, to say there's one big topic though, because you have the lockout we've talked about it a little bit on the show in the last couple of weeks, you never know.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_03]: when Jose Romeras prime is going to end.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously he is a professional baseball player.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_03]: You can't predict that.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: But you also have the factor of maybe we're not playing baseball next year during his age 34 season, which is a very big deal because again, most guys aren't LeBron James who sit in their prime until 40 years old.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_03]: Jensen Lewis had to take yesterday on a big play Cleveland where he came through and he was talking about the future with Jose.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, hey, I kind of feel like we're wasting Jose's prime.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_03]: Like this might have been
- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: say, do you think that this is the last chance we're getting in the Jose Ramirez era like do you think that they almost because of the lockout?
- 55:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you can't make any more additions.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have to push through and like, hey, whatever additions you need to make.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_03]: If it's hurting feelings, we got to get Velasca's up here.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_03]: If he's going to help, do you think it is a whatever moves no matter what things get hurt at all cost push for Jose this year?
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: It should have been that the year they had Frankie and Jose, right, the 2016 season like they should have It's followed up with a splash that next year instead they going trade freaking Frankie a couple years after like that was when they should have done it So knowing that Jose is a Cleveland guy like I mean he's Cleveland throwing through now
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: you got to you got to give them something man like can we just go get my trout like is that can you can feed my imagination for the start of the start of the next season that that'll be the way to get it going is to give you bring my trout in the top can you imagine April 10th or April 11th home opener in your lineup has Jose and trout do you know how great like there's one other time that can compete with
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: I would say Browns tailgates and it's home opening guards day.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing like it.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: It would be Electric if we could get a mic trial bat in there or you know bring Frankie back and let's do a row I'm down for another room.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: I would be fine Frankie Kyrie bring the whole gang back
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see if they can push on forward and get us some tailgates like that.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_03]: We do know the Browns will be having tailgates make sure you tune in to Big Play Cleveland Show tomorrow.
