- 0:04Hi, I'm Jason. And this is the slippery slope.
- 0:08So just want to discuss the Beijing Winter Olympics.
- 0:13Apparently a few athletes, have you countries are slightly
- 0:16unhappy, couple of complaints coming through.
- 0:19I'll just want to read these articles from the guardian.
- 0:22The headline is I have no more tears beijing's, Winter Olympic,
- 0:27hit by athlete. Complaints.
- 0:31So goes on to say on the eve of the Winter Olympics, China's
- 0:34leader, Xi Jinping, promise, the world, a streamlined, safe, and
- 0:39most Splendid games, but just two days into the event,
- 0:42organizers are facing a Litany of complaints from athletes and
- 0:47countries on multiple fronts. Okay.
- 0:50It says this weeds have suggested that the conditions in
- 0:53the mountains, are perilously cold.
- 0:55This is the swedes saying this. A Polish Kaiser says she was
- 0:59living in fear in a Beijing isolation.
- 1:02Ward and there's cried until I have no more tears.
- 1:05The fins have claimed an ice hockey player, is being kept in
- 1:08covid, quarantine for no reason. And the Germans, they are
- 1:13frustrated that there is no hot food at the downhill skiing
- 1:18well, Who would have thought that how old is problems in the
- 1:23Chinese Beijing? Olympics.
- 1:25A so there's quite a bit of puff in this report, but I'll just go
- 1:29down to some mother other areas which I wanted to highlight goes
- 1:33on to say, the Polish speed skater Natalia Mela zuzka who
- 1:38was forced to miss the 500 meter short track event on Saturday
- 1:43revealed that she had faced fear and uncertainty in a Beijing
- 1:48isolation. Ward After testing positive for
- 1:51covid since a week, I have been living in fear and these changes
- 1:56in mood. She says goes on to say, I cry
- 1:59until I have no more tears and make not only the people around
- 2:03me worried but myself to she said those in an isolation Ward
- 2:08are allowed out. If they are free of symptoms and
- 2:11have to - covid test 24 hours apart and mellow zuzka was
- 2:17eventually released back into the Olympic Village.
- 2:20Village before being told, there had been a mistake.
- 2:24She goes on to say, people got me out of my room at 3:00 a.m.
- 2:28this night was a horror, I slept in my clothes and my bed because
- 2:33I was afraid that at any moment. Someone would take me back to
- 2:36isolation, then a message. That unfortunately, there was a
- 2:40mistake that I am a threat. So she's been told that she's
- 2:45the threat and should not have been released from isolation.
- 2:49She doesn't say, I have to get back to the Olympic Village as
- 2:52soon as possible, I can't understand this anymore.
- 2:56I no longer believe in any tests.
- 2:58Any Olympics to me? This is a big joke.
- 3:01I hope whoever is managing, this has a lot of fun, my heart and
- 3:05my mind can't take this anymore, really sounds like she is
- 3:09starting to go a little crazy, with the change of rules and
- 3:14being under the kept under these conditions, the article goes on
- 3:18more than 150 Games, participants, including dozens
- 3:22of athletes, have tested positive upon arrival in the
- 3:25Chinese Capital since January 23rd.
- 3:29Many are still in isolation fearing.
- 3:32Their games are over. One of those is The Finnish ice
- 3:36hockey player, Marco and Tiller whose team believe he has been
- 3:41kept in covid-19 isolation for no reason.
- 3:45From a medical perspective, we know that a person like this.
- 3:49No longer infectious, no danger to the other team, the Finish
- 3:54doctor Mao, Roots, melatonin said, that's what the finished
- 4:00doctor saying. These isolation decisions are
- 4:02not based on medicine or science.
- 4:05It's more culture and political decisions as anyone consider the
- 4:11possibility that the Chinese government are using a covid.
- 4:15And these isolation rules that they have using these These
- 4:19restrictions to their advantage, is anyone even considered that
- 4:25the, maybe they are misusing, a, who would have thought that a
- 4:28communist country a Communist Regime would miss you, who's
- 4:33would misuse a situation such as covid so that they could give an
- 4:38advantage to their own, their own Olympic participants.
- 4:43Just some food for thought. The article goes on to say the
- 4:46Finland head coach dukkha. Joe Gannon said that the
- 4:50situation was affecting and tillers mental health.
- 4:55We know that he is fully healthy and that's why we think the
- 4:58China for some reason, won't respect his human rights and
- 5:03that's not a great situation. Well, a joke, they're not
- 5:06respecting his human rights because it's going to give the
- 5:09Chinese an advantage. Anyway goes on to say the
- 5:14Russian biathlon compared to a Valaria there's Nets over.
- 5:19Also reached recently expressed her experiences of being in a
- 5:24quarantine Hotel posting on Instagram, my stomach hurts.
- 5:28I'm very pale and I have yuge black circles around my eyes.
- 5:33I want all this to end. I cry every day.
- 5:35I'm very tired. There's net Vaz Nets over,
- 5:41posted a picture. Picture of what she said.
- 5:43Was breakfast lunch and dinner for five days already.
- 5:47She said. And it is a tray with food
- 5:51including plain pasta and orange sauce.
- 5:55A piece of meat on a bone, a few potatoes and no greens are gee.
- 6:02I wonder what the Chinese Olympic competitors are eating.
- 6:06It would be very safe to assume that the Chinese are getting fed
- 6:09way better than that. Anyway, going on.
- 6:13Meanwhile, after the men's downhill was postponed until
- 6:16Monday due to high winds Germany's coach Christian
- 6:21Swagger lamented. That there was no hot food
- 6:24available for athletes. He's quoted as saying the
- 6:28catering is extremely questionable because really is
- 6:32not catering at all. He said, I would have expected
- 6:35that the Olympic Committee is capable of providing hot meals.
- 6:39There are crisps some know Nuts and chocolate and nothing else.
- 6:45That's amazing. A winter Olympics where the
- 6:48temperature is. Well, well below zero and they
- 6:53don't cater any hot food, G ug, there's anyone else?
- 6:59Smell a rat here. Like I said, do you think that
- 7:02the Chinese Olympic participants' aren't able to go
- 7:07and get some hot food when they want it?
- 7:08I will guarantee. That's exactly what's happening.
- 7:11The These government is using this for the benefit of their
- 7:15athletes so that they can get more metals and to give a
- 7:20disadvantage to the competitors. Goes on to say the ioc said it
- 7:26was aware of the complaint and was working with Beijing 2022 to
- 7:30address. The issues asked about the
- 7:32situation in the covid hotels. The ioc added, we feel for every
- 7:36athlete who cannot compete because of the covid-19
- 7:39infection, the protocols have been Put in place to ensure safe
- 7:45Olympic games for everyone. Now, there's a couple of things
- 7:49that got to say, for one, this, this has always been the problem
- 7:54with covid and that is that you can make up any rules, any kind
- 7:59of exceptions give any excuse and you say, it's for your
- 8:04health. It's because of covid.
- 8:06You put the whole blame on this mysterious little virus, which
- 8:12got to remind you came out of China in the first place.
- 8:15And you can say whatever you want, you can make any excuse
- 8:19that you want. I've done this in China, the do
- 8:22this all across the world. We definitely do it in Australia
- 8:25and you just get away with whatever you want.
- 8:27As long as you can blame it, put the blame back on covid.
- 8:30It doesn't matter. And lastly what did these
- 8:34people? I don't, I do feel.
- 8:37I feel sorry for the athletes to a point.
- 8:40However, It just remind everyone.
- 8:45This is the country that for one release, the Wuhan covid
- 8:50coronavirus Aires, whatever you want to call it on the world.
- 8:54Okay. I don't for a second believe
- 8:55even though they keep they keep telling us this lie that it was
- 9:00that it came from the wet markets and not and not the
- 9:04laboratory next door to the wet markets, that make the virus.
- 9:09Very same virus that we have no, no, no, no, they don't want you
- 9:13to believe that. So I don't Leave that.
- 9:16That is the truth. I believe you came out of the
- 9:18laboratory. I believe it was either.
- 9:21It was either purposely done or it was done because all it was
- 9:25just an accident because a scientist because their
- 9:28Protocols are so pathetic and secondly, this is the same
- 9:33country. That's holds the uyghur people
- 9:38in the northern section of China.
- 9:40Basically in a large concentration camp, they're
- 9:45constantly under surveillance that are used what I would
- 9:50describe as as forced as slavery in reality.
- 9:54Okay? They miss you, they abuse their
- 9:58own people. They have shut down any.
- 10:02Any form of democratic Pratik media Democratic believing media
- 10:08in Hong Kong. Any any ideology which would
- 10:14support democracy? Any free, any form of free
- 10:19speech coming from Hong Kong Kong, they have completely shut
- 10:24it down. The Chinese Communist party has
- 10:27completely shut it down every day.
- 10:30They are flying the air force into taiwan's, air space,
- 10:35completely ignoring completely ignoring the Taiwan Government
- 10:41completely ignoring any calls from any other governments
- 10:44around the world to stop doing it.
- 10:45They just do whatever they want. And yet, all of these things,
- 10:49that that the Chinese government that the Chinese people, that
- 10:52the Chinese government has done and yet we still went and gave
- 10:57them the Winter Olympics. Here's a reward will give you
- 11:01the Winter Olympics. The whole thing is a joke, okay?
- 11:05And the Very fact that any of these Western countries
- 11:09supported the win, Sir, Olympics, and supported the idea
- 11:13of from the international Olympic Committee, that China
- 11:16should have held the Olympics in the first place is just
- 11:19pathetic. I haven't watched any of the
- 11:21Winter Olympics at all, I don't think that should be supported
- 11:25at all. I think it should be made clear
- 11:28to the Chinese government that Western society, that other
- 11:31countries do not support their regime.
- 11:35And we've got to stop allowing them to just do whatever they
- 11:40Aunt, all because of the amount of money that they are worth It
- 11:46all just comes back to money and everyone's too scared to say,
- 11:51what needs to be said, because of the money we don't want to
- 11:55lose money and Australia is the same to be quite Frank.
- 11:59That's my opinion. Thank you for listening to the
- 12:02slippery slope.
