- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise PARTI. I am Sherry Maggie
- 0:04Speaker 1: at his time, right now for today's word, Protect what
- 0:09Speaker 1: God has given you. Exodus thirty two nineteen says when
- 0:13Speaker 1: Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing,
- 0:17Speaker 1: his anger burned, and he threw the tablets out of
- 0:20Speaker 1: his hands, breaking them into pieces at the foot of
- 0:24Speaker 1: the mountain. You know, there are moments in life when
- 0:27Speaker 1: the frustration around us feels overwhelming. We see people making
- 0:32Speaker 1: poor choices, culture drifting further from truth, and situations that
- 0:36Speaker 1: seem unfair and out of control. If we're not careful,
- 0:40Speaker 1: those external pressures can stir something on the inside of us, anger, bitterness,
- 0:46Speaker 1: even discouragement. See that's what happened to Moses. He had
- 0:50Speaker 1: just experienced a sacred, once in a lifetime encounter with
- 0:54Speaker 1: God on Mount Sinai. The ten commandments were ridden by
- 0:58Speaker 1: the finger of God and entrust it into his hands.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It was holy, it was priceless, it was divine. But
- 1:07Speaker 1: when Moses came down the mountain and saw the people
- 1:10Speaker 1: worshiping a golden calf, he became so angry that he
- 1:13Speaker 1: threw down the tablets and shattered them in that moment,
- 1:17Speaker 1: what God had given him was mishandled, not because it
- 1:22Speaker 1: wasn't valuable, but because his emotions took over. See that's
- 1:27Speaker 1: a lesson for you and me today. Sometimes we can
- 1:30Speaker 1: allow what's happening around us, what people are doing, what's
- 1:34Speaker 1: being said, how things are unfolding, to affect us so
- 1:38Speaker 1: deeply that we lose our peace, and we mishandle what
- 1:41Speaker 1: God has placed in our care. Come, oh Jesus, we
- 1:44Speaker 1: may not be holding stone tablets, but we are holding
- 1:47Speaker 1: something just as valuable. God has entrusted you with gifts.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Your peace, your integrity, your character, your relationships, your purpose.
- 1:56Speaker 1: These are sacred. These are words protecting. The one to
- 2:00Speaker 1: me would love to use frustration, offense, and even anger
- 2:04Speaker 1: to get you out of position. If he can pull
- 2:08Speaker 1: you into strife, he can distract you from your purpose.
- 2:11Speaker 1: If he can keep you upset about what others are doing,
- 2:14Speaker 1: he can drain your energy and steal your joy. But
- 2:17Speaker 1: here's the truth. You are not responsible for controlling everybody else.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You are responsible for guarding what God gave you. You
- 2:28Speaker 1: can't make people do what's right. You can't fix every
- 2:31Speaker 1: problem or change every situation. But you can choose how
- 2:35Speaker 1: you respond. You can choose peace over frustration. You can
- 2:39Speaker 1: choose grace over anger. You can choose to say grounded
- 2:42Speaker 1: in God, no matter what's happening around you. When you
- 2:46Speaker 1: do that, you protect the very things God is placed
- 2:50Speaker 1: in your life. Don't let the chaos around you cause
- 2:53Speaker 1: you to lose the calm within you. Instead, let the
- 2:57Speaker 1: peace of Christ rule your heart. Stay an, stay steady,
- 3:01Speaker 1: stay focused on what truly matters, because what God has
- 3:05Speaker 1: given you is too valuable to be broken by what's
- 3:09Speaker 1: happening around you. Oh bather, God, thank you for the
- 3:13Speaker 1: gifts that you've placed in our lives. Our peace, our purpose,
- 3:15Speaker 1: our integrity. Help us to guard them carefully and not
- 3:19Speaker 1: allow the actions of others or the circumstances around us
- 3:23Speaker 1: to cause us to lose what you've given us. God,
- 3:26Speaker 1: teach us to respond with grace, to walk in peace,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and just stay focused on you in Jesus' name. Now
- 3:33Speaker 1: that's your word for today. Take it applied to your
- 3:37Speaker 1: everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It is you're the morning praise party. I am Sherry
