- 1:24Speaker 1: possibly be played on a future Listener mail bag episode.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm stalling for time because I'm frantically trying to open
- 1:32Speaker 1: the phone number. I should put it in my notes,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and I don't. I know it's nine four nine. It
- 1:38Speaker 1: is nine four nine three two nine eight zero nine zero,
- 1:43Speaker 1: a pretty easy phone number to remember. I was able
- 1:45Speaker 1: to pick, and so I picked because I thought it
- 1:49Speaker 1: looked memorable. I have questions. Did you try to like
- 1:54Speaker 1: come up with some sort of I did, but that
- 1:56Speaker 1: it was two in the weeds, and I just thought,
- 1:58Speaker 1: this is not worth like one eight hundred Gghan. I'm
- 2:03Speaker 1: sure I think I was like out of town you work, because,
- 2:07Speaker 1: like we have, we're launching a Can we talk about
- 2:12Speaker 1: it here? Sure, we're launching a second podcast that has
- 2:16Speaker 1: nothing to do with Hallmark. No, we'll be promoting it here.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Keep your ears peeled. Some of you might be interested, yes,
- 2:21Speaker 1: And you know, there's a lot of like back end
- 2:24Speaker 1: work on that, like it needs a website and this
- 2:26Speaker 1: and that. And Megan's always like I can't too many options?
- 2:29Speaker 1: Is too many options? Love it and leave it. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: just got to pick something and be done with it,
- 2:34Speaker 1: because it it all comes down to like return on investment.
- 2:36Speaker 1: How much is this extra time that I've spent thinking
- 2:40Speaker 1: about this thing going to matter totally. So, like with
- 2:42Speaker 1: the phone thing, I it's a Google Voice number, y'all,
- 2:46Speaker 1: which is free, and so they don't give you the
- 2:48Speaker 1: option to like search by like you know, enter a
- 2:52Speaker 1: word that you're trying to make it and then it
- 2:55Speaker 1: was too much for me to try and like reverse engineer. Sure,
- 2:59Speaker 1: so you good numbers, y'all, but those numbers are easy
- 3:02Speaker 1: to remember. My brain is just not it's out of
- 3:04Speaker 1: working form. Like I don't remember phone numbers anymore. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: don't even know my daughter's phone number. I know my sons,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but I have not memorized my daughter's. It's bad, right,
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's not because I love one of my children more,
- 3:16Speaker 1: just one of them has had a phone longer. Not
- 3:19Speaker 1: by much though. Two years, okay, so you got two years,
- 3:23Speaker 1: three years? Actually three years? Yeah, it's I just never
- 3:27Speaker 1: have to know the number. If we ever went to jail,
- 3:30Speaker 1: who would you call? I don't know when? Well, luckily
- 3:33Speaker 1: I know my husband's phone number, I know my mom's
- 3:36Speaker 1: phone number, I know my son's phone number. My children
- 3:39Speaker 1: would be of no help. What do they all do?
- 3:42Speaker 1: I know? So? Do you know my phone number? No?
- 3:44Speaker 1: I know your prefix. You're about seven digits off. But yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I know, I know, I don't know it. That's all right.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I can envision that that can get you out of jail,
- 3:56Speaker 1: so you might want to remember it. Hey, let's hear
- 3:59Speaker 1: a synopsis of Hearts around the Table Sherry's second act.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Cherry just moved back to d C after a breakup
- 4:06Speaker 1: and hopes to start painting again. Inspiration hits when she
- 4:10Speaker 1: meets Evan, a repair man who winds up actually being
- 4:13Speaker 1: a gallery owner. Time out. I don't remember him being
- 4:17Speaker 1: a gallery owner. I don't have any idea what this
- 4:20Speaker 1: movie is about, other than she moved back to DC
- 4:25Speaker 1: when she was divorced and she has some foster siblings. Yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 1: but I don't remember Evan being a gallery owner either. Look,
- 4:32Speaker 1: I owns that space that like artist space, Bob, that's
- 4:36Speaker 1: not a gallery. Well, they set up that gallery. I know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I know who is writing these synopsis. Marco Depenia directed.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Marco directed three of the four Hearts around the Table movies.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Looking for even more Marcodophemia work, you could check out
- 4:52Speaker 1: the last three The Jan Mystery Movies, which are available
- 4:54Speaker 1: on Hallmark Plus. Neil Kimmel wrote the script for Sherry's
- 4:58Speaker 1: second act. She will go on to write the next
- 5:02Speaker 1: two Hearts Around the Table movies. Her previous scripts include
- 5:06Speaker 1: several of the Jane Mystery movies, Jazz Ramsey, a K
- 5:10Speaker 1: nine Mystery, as well as a handful of other Hallmark
- 5:14Speaker 1: esque movies. Michelle Morgan stars as Sherry. Michelle is a
- 5:17Speaker 1: Daytime Emmy winning actress for her role as Amandason Clair
- 5:20Speaker 1: on The Young and the rest List, where she has
- 5:22Speaker 1: appeared in eight hundred two episodes. She has a vast
- 5:24Speaker 1: resume of projects, including Chicago med as well as a
- 5:27Speaker 1: twenty twelve appearance in the series Beauty and the Beast. However,
- 5:31Speaker 1: her only other Hallmark project is Christmas with the Kiss
- 5:33Speaker 1: from twenty twenty three. Brendon Morgan plays Evan btw There's
- 5:38Speaker 1: no relation between these two. They're both Oh the lass
- 5:41Speaker 1: a morgan Any. Brennan has eighteen acting credits, with appearances
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the Jane mysteries Too Much to Lose as well
- 5:49Speaker 1: as Christmas with a Kiss. He will go on to
- 5:53Speaker 1: appear in the next two Hearts Around the Table movies.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Darling Cook plays Evan's grandmother, Lindsey James. She has fifty
- 6:00Speaker 1: acting credits, including Hallmark movies like Napa ever After and
- 6:03Speaker 1: Holiday Heritage. Hey, let's take a quick break and we'll
- 6:06Speaker 1: come right back with our first impressions of Hearts around
- 6:10Speaker 1: the Table Sherry's second act. Hey, Wendy, what was your
- 6:21Speaker 1: first impression of sherry second act? Well, all the good
- 6:23Speaker 1: things I said about Hearts around the Table, Jenna's first
- 6:26Speaker 1: love stops there. Yeah, I wanted to like this movie.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I was so sad, such a bait and switch. My
- 6:35Speaker 1: first impression is did everyone realize that that was Evan's
- 6:38Speaker 1: grandmother's painting in the sitting room before I did? Yes?
- 6:42Speaker 1: I didn't. Didn't when she when Sharry realizes it, I
- 6:49Speaker 1: was like, Oh, I should have seen that one coming,
- 6:51Speaker 1: but I didn't. It's because the movie was not that
- 6:53Speaker 1: good that you were, and not that closely invested or
- 6:56Speaker 1: watching the details. I didn't care. And I'm sorry to
- 7:00Speaker 1: say that, because there are some good things about this
- 7:02Speaker 1: series overall, which is kind of where my likes start. Okay, Like,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I like how we reconnect with the siblings at the
- 7:09Speaker 1: top of the movie, similar to the way we meet
- 7:11Speaker 1: them all in Movie one. I like bringing them together
- 7:15Speaker 1: in that way and tying the series together. I'm curious
- 7:18Speaker 1: to see if that gets tired by movie four. Okay,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but I was happy to see the siblings again. It
- 7:29Speaker 1: was disjointed, though, don't you think the opening just their involvement?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Oh my wishes are there's one million things. Okay, okay, okay, okay, fine,
- 7:41Speaker 1: let's let's keep to the likes them. I only have
- 7:44Speaker 1: two likes. Okay. First of all, Michelle and Brendan are
- 7:48Speaker 1: a gorgeous couple, true gorgeous people, smoking hot. But these
- 7:54Speaker 1: characters are super boring. Yeah, Like there there were several
- 7:59Speaker 1: times where she looked at him where it felt like
- 8:03Speaker 1: fire like and I was like, Okay, she's a good
- 8:05Speaker 1: actress because she knows how to use like her eyes
- 8:07Speaker 1: and her face all in the scene. Right, But just
- 8:09Speaker 1: like there was nothing. They were so boring. Well, it
- 8:13Speaker 1: was just so hard to root for them because I
- 8:14Speaker 1: didn't understand what was happening. Your point about being being
- 8:19Speaker 1: disjointed is very correct. Hey, I still love Sherry's wardrobe.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I said I in movie one and in movie two
- 8:24Speaker 1: it's a standout A plus. I love the way she dresses.
- 8:28Speaker 1: There's some bright patterns. She just has this casual, cool
- 8:32Speaker 1: artist look. About her. I love when she wears like
- 8:35Speaker 1: a big oversized like button down or she just looks
- 8:38Speaker 1: cool all the time. This was my second Like there
- 8:41Speaker 1: was a green and white short set that she wore
- 8:43Speaker 1: with white tennis shoes and it was so cute, super cute.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I do have something in my digity that about her clothes.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Nothing bad, just curious, that's all. And I also I
- 8:57Speaker 1: like a post of war storyline. We don't get a
- 8:59Speaker 1: ton of. This is like a new thing in the
- 9:01Speaker 1: Hallmark universe. It's not done well, but I'm glad we're
- 9:05Speaker 1: doing it. Is her ex like the coolest like ambassador
- 9:08Speaker 1: or whatever. He is like that you've ever seen. Yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 1: are there a lot of non old old white dude
- 9:15Speaker 1: ambassadors out there in the world. Yeah, guy's like young
- 9:18Speaker 1: in him. I feel like ambassador is a role for
- 9:20Speaker 1: someone who is like kind of aged out of being
- 9:23Speaker 1: like super effective in actual government, but they give him
- 9:27Speaker 1: like this title. Yeah mm hmm. Yeah. He was like
- 9:32Speaker 1: young and real cool. Yeah, super cool. And the one
- 9:37Speaker 1: scene that they show with him where he's like on
- 9:39Speaker 1: the phone with her, it kind of felt I was like, Oh,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I've met a dude like this before, Like he was
- 9:46Speaker 1: like almost playing with her a little bit. You know
- 9:53Speaker 1: what I mean? Yo, you're divorced, don't now be flirty
- 9:59Speaker 1: and cute? Yeah? And you're divorced for reasons that have
- 10:04Speaker 1: to do with you. Yeah yeah, Do you have any
- 10:08Speaker 1: other likes? I'm ready to talk. Wish it? Okay, me too,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you can go first. Okay. This feels like a case
- 10:14Speaker 1: of two people pleasers not being able to have a conversation,
- 10:17Speaker 1: like what is their actual conflict? What are they fighting about?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Does anybody know? Does anybody know what these people are
- 10:22Speaker 1: mad at each other about? Because what were they mad about?
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't recall. When they finally get together, they have
- 10:31Speaker 1: all this talk about like I need to take it slow.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I can'tvertion into anything. I'm just out of a relationship,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and he's like, we can take it slow, no problem,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and then boom, she's introducing him to the family and
- 10:41Speaker 1: she's like, this is my muse, my best friend. My
- 10:45Speaker 1: two weeks you wanted to take it slow, and now
- 10:47Speaker 1: you're all in what is it? Look? It's okay to
- 10:52Speaker 1: be confused post divorce, Like say, it's like you're in
- 10:55Speaker 1: a marriage where like you're not really seen or appreciated.
- 10:59Speaker 1: And then you get to and you're like, I'm gonna
- 11:01Speaker 1: take it slow. And then you have like a dude
- 11:03Speaker 1: who's like hot and like into you and wants to
- 11:07Speaker 1: see you. But you're like, oh, I still want to
- 11:10Speaker 1: take it slow. Like it's it's confusing. So like that,
- 11:13Speaker 1: that's interesting. It just wasn't developed enough. No, you don't
- 11:18Speaker 1: think so. I don't think it was developed at all.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I agree, But do you know why I think that
- 11:25Speaker 1: is the case. Tell me we spend entirely. As much
- 11:28Speaker 1: as I love the siblings, there's way too much of
- 11:31Speaker 1: them in this movie. Why is there so much Josh
- 11:33Speaker 1: and Kyle in this movie? This isn't Josh's movie. Why
- 11:35Speaker 1: do we have this whole storyline I set up for
- 11:38Speaker 1: movie three? Babe? It's too much. It's Sherry's movie. Give
- 11:42Speaker 1: her a moment, I know. But they they were in
- 11:46Speaker 1: it equally ish the first movie, and that was Jenna's movie.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I don't think so well. I think it makes more
- 11:54Speaker 1: sense if they were just focusing on the Sunday night dinners.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yea yeah, yeah, that would make sense where they would
- 12:01Speaker 1: be around and not unlike the every day yes this
- 12:06Speaker 1: phone call, use this Sunday night dinner as a way
- 12:09Speaker 1: to reconnect, we learn what's going on with them. We
- 12:11Speaker 1: get hints about like Kiki's food truck, and maybe Sherry
- 12:15Speaker 1: herself visits Keiki's food truck, but we don't need Keky's
- 12:17Speaker 1: food truck existing on its own. Maybe Sherry has some
- 12:20Speaker 1: involvement with Josh and Kyle, but we don't need Josh
- 12:23Speaker 1: and Kyle existing on their own outside of the Sunday
- 12:26Speaker 1: Night dinner or Kyle's story like that should be in Josh,
- 12:30Speaker 1: don't I agree, or he could be discussing it. But
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, like we had what's their other teenage Rory
- 12:37Speaker 1: Rory kind of made sense because in the first movie,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I'm making all these hand motions, Jenna was involved in
- 12:44Speaker 1: Rory's ultimate resolution, and so to me, it made sense
- 12:48Speaker 1: to have that involved. I just thought, with a movie
- 12:52Speaker 1: where I don't understand what's going on, like I don't
- 12:56Speaker 1: really understand, they're constantly mad at each other, like once
- 12:59Speaker 1: pulling back, then the other one's pulling back, and then
- 13:03Speaker 1: it just seems like we could have used that time
- 13:05Speaker 1: for more character development. I agree, I absolutely agree with
- 13:08Speaker 1: all of that. It was kind of all over the
- 13:11Speaker 1: place and did not make sense. Yeah, For me, I
- 13:15Speaker 1: thought the writing and the script was remarkably different from
- 13:20Speaker 1: the first movie. Yes, different writers. I was really disappointed
- 13:26Speaker 1: overall because I loved the tone and the pace and
- 13:29Speaker 1: the messaging in that first movie. Like it shocks me
- 13:32Speaker 1: in that first movie how much I liked it. Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: this one super fell flat in comparison. And I don't
- 13:39Speaker 1: want to be like that writer was good and this
- 13:41Speaker 1: writer is bad. I think maybe this movie series didn't
- 13:46Speaker 1: need to be made into four movies. Maybe we could
- 13:49Speaker 1: have just left it hearts around the table that first movie,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, and it'd be done. Yeah. There was some
- 13:56Speaker 1: dialogue in this movie that I just me chuckle and
- 14:02Speaker 1: not in a good way. When Evan is talking about
- 14:05Speaker 1: the artist's co op space, like she's there, he's I
- 14:09Speaker 1: can't remember this is not their first scene, but the
- 14:12Speaker 1: kind of the second scene. He's like doing some work
- 14:14Speaker 1: in the space and he's like, yeah, it was my
- 14:17Speaker 1: grandfather's or whatever, and he wanted this is what he said.
- 14:20Speaker 1: He wanted to create a place where artists could be creative.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I was just like groundbreaking, Like what is this? Don't say,
- 14:27Speaker 1: what is this writing? Yeah, like this this feels so surface,
- 14:31Speaker 1: there's nothing there there's nothing deeper between, Like there's no
- 14:36Speaker 1: messaging like I thought the first movie had all this
- 14:38Speaker 1: wonderful messaging. If you remember, I was like, man, they
- 14:41Speaker 1: gave some great like parental advice in this movie. There
- 14:44Speaker 1: was none of that in this Also, what is the
- 14:50Speaker 1: freaking timing of this movie? I don't know. We're post Jenna, right,
- 14:56Speaker 1: but I don't even remember if Sherry in the first
- 14:58Speaker 1: movie was like I'm getting a divorce and I'm here
- 15:02Speaker 1: like I don't I don't know. Yeah, and then she
- 15:07Speaker 1: goes back to wherever, like whatever other country she was
- 15:10Speaker 1: living in and gets all her stuff and then moves
- 15:12Speaker 1: back and gets a divorce in that time, Like what
- 15:15Speaker 1: is happening? Very confused about that. I thought Sherry seemed
- 15:22Speaker 1: different in this movie compared to the first one, less fun,
- 15:26Speaker 1: less fun. Well. I thought in the first one, like
- 15:28Speaker 1: she was tough and opinionated, and remember, like we really
- 15:30Speaker 1: liked her, like she was she was telling some hard
- 15:33Speaker 1: truths in that first movie, like she was kind of
- 15:35Speaker 1: like she wasn't hard on her sister, but she was
- 15:37Speaker 1: very real, yeah, And in this one, I just feel
- 15:42Speaker 1: like she was dry maybe mm hmmm. When do you
- 15:45Speaker 1: have a note to tell me yeah about the timeline.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Tell me so, we have an email. We actually read
- 15:50Speaker 1: it in a listener mail bag episode, but we weren't
- 15:52Speaker 1: watching these movies yet. Oh go ahead, and it's an
- 15:54Speaker 1: email from Era, who says, I've got lots of thoughts
- 15:56Speaker 1: on the second hearts around the table. This is just
- 15:58Speaker 1: going to reinforce what you were saying. Am I going
- 16:00Speaker 1: in saying that the timeframe makes no sense? This movie
- 16:03Speaker 1: opens with the sibling surprising Sherry at the airport with
- 16:06Speaker 1: welcome home signs, making it seem like she is just
- 16:08Speaker 1: riving home after a long stretch of time. But she
- 16:10Speaker 1: was in the entire first movie. I thought maybe the
- 16:13Speaker 1: movies were jumping around the timeframe, but from the context
- 16:15Speaker 1: clue such as Rory's advancement on the track team, seems
- 16:18Speaker 1: to have been a couple weeks at most. That being said,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I did still enjoy the film. Now, can we talk
- 16:23Speaker 1: about that Ai generated cat portrait at the antique shop?
- 16:25Speaker 1: I got thoughts on that, and she says, And when
- 16:28Speaker 1: Sherry handed over that huge cat portrait to Kiki and
- 16:31Speaker 1: she hung it in her tiny little food truck, I
- 16:32Speaker 1: was cracking up. Surprised it even fits inside. I'm going
- 16:36Speaker 1: to say this. My final thought is in regard to
- 16:38Speaker 1: Sherry realizing that one of Evan's grandmother's paintings has been
- 16:40Speaker 1: hanging in her foster mother's house for years. I love
- 16:43Speaker 1: how she just takes it off the walls and hands
- 16:44Speaker 1: it straight to Evan. No second thoughts. Hope mom wasn't
- 16:47Speaker 1: too attached to it. So thank you Era Times two
- 16:52Speaker 1: for that feedback. Yeah for sure. I Also, I think
- 16:55Speaker 1: I saw in our Facebook group that Ara mind I
- 16:58Speaker 1: said this was her favorite movie of the entire month. Really,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I have a couple more wishes. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: two things. What I loved about the first movie was
- 17:12Speaker 1: the like heart and soul surrounding their foster storyline. And
- 17:16Speaker 1: I had even said in our review, like, if that
- 17:18Speaker 1: movie just ended up being about Jenna's love story, it
- 17:21Speaker 1: would have been completely Yeah, a bummer of a movie
- 17:25Speaker 1: for me. Well that is this movie. It is just
- 17:28Speaker 1: Sherry's love story and I can't get into it. Yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 1: give me more, Mindy more, Angie. That's my last thing.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Mindy Cone was not used enough in this movie. Like,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I loved her energy in the last one, and she
- 17:38Speaker 1: would just I like the moments where she connects with
- 17:41Speaker 1: her in like the little den area and she was like,
- 17:43Speaker 1: this is where he would come and those are nice
- 17:45Speaker 1: but not enough. More. Give me more, Yeah, give me more.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Do you have any more wishes? No, let's talk. Did
- 17:50Speaker 1: you see that? Okay, I just have one. Let me
- 17:53Speaker 1: hear It is the letting go cake, the homewark equivalent
- 17:57Speaker 1: of the hear me Out cake. Do you know to
- 17:59Speaker 1: hear me out cake? No? This is the sign of
- 18:03Speaker 1: being chronically online. To hear me out cake. Have you
- 18:06Speaker 1: seen a college rejection cake? Yeah, where they're putting their
- 18:10Speaker 1: little sticks of the schools they did not get in
- 18:12Speaker 1: the cake. Yeah, so hear me out. I don't know
- 18:14Speaker 1: the original origin, but there were couples on TikTok who
- 18:17Speaker 1: would have a cake and they would be like, hear
- 18:19Speaker 1: me out, and then they would have like people that
- 18:22Speaker 1: they were attracted to that might seem like unconventional mm hmmm.
- 18:26Speaker 1: So you might be like the actor who plays mister Bean,
- 18:30Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like there's something about him
- 18:33Speaker 1: that hear me out and then you just put that
- 18:35Speaker 1: on the cake. Hmmm. Or it would be like hear
- 18:36Speaker 1: me out, just gonna wrap it sure, I get it.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So to me, that's what the Letting Go Cake felt like.
- 18:43Speaker 1: They're like, how can we incorporate this idea, this like
- 18:46Speaker 1: trending idea into this movie. Maybe that's not what they're doing,
- 18:49Speaker 1: but that's what gave to me interesting. Maybe we should
- 18:52Speaker 1: have a hear me Out cake when we like are
- 18:55Speaker 1: pitching like podcast ideas to each other, like hear me
- 18:58Speaker 1: out midlife best You know what you guys want to
- 19:04Speaker 1: know what midlife bestie is? Stay tuned boy, Okay, here
- 19:09Speaker 1: are my digite that's it is a long list of
- 19:12Speaker 1: just kind of WTF Can I just read them off? Go?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Sherry asks Evan, I've been out of the country. Where
- 19:22Speaker 1: do I buy art supplies? Yeah, well you're not from Mars.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Did everything close? Did every craft store and artist supply
- 19:32Speaker 1: store close? And the time being yeah, But then she
- 19:35Speaker 1: shows his grandma the bag and she's like, girl, you
- 19:36Speaker 1: bought the whole store. I'm like, it's have a bag full,
- 19:39Speaker 1: so dumb, so dumb. I did think it was a
- 19:43Speaker 1: good way for Sherry to like hang out with Evan,
- 19:45Speaker 1: Like I thought, okay, girl, if you want to hang
- 19:47Speaker 1: out with him, this is a great way. My next
- 19:50Speaker 1: thing is Josh's student that he's helping run track Kyle.
- 19:58Speaker 1: He says as if, And I was like, that's from
- 20:02Speaker 1: my teenage generation. Thank you, Alicia Silverstone. Yeah, I was like, no,
- 20:06Speaker 1: he would never say that. My kid would never say that.
- 20:09Speaker 1: It just reminded me one hundred percent off topic. My
- 20:13Speaker 1: daughter was like, OK, said you like when you were
- 20:15Speaker 1: in high school. Because she's like looking for movies to
- 20:17Speaker 1: watch and she likes like the ten things I Hate
- 20:19Speaker 1: about you vibe. I'm like, you need to watch She's
- 20:21Speaker 1: all that, just because she would like that. But she
- 20:24Speaker 1: didn't need to watch Clueless. Oh yeah, and they're making
- 20:27Speaker 1: a reboot of it. Oh they are. Yeah, I'm sure
- 20:30Speaker 1: it's gonna be terrible. But because I was like I
- 20:32Speaker 1: was explaining the concept of she's all that, she's like,
- 20:34Speaker 1: does she wear glasses? And now she doesn't, I was
- 20:36Speaker 1: like pretty much, yeah, pretty much. Anyway, thank you. I
- 20:41Speaker 1: Clueless added to the list. We previously talked about Sherry's
- 20:44Speaker 1: super cute outfits. Yeah, she's painting. She's wearing skinny jeans,
- 20:50Speaker 1: high heels, no apron no, like, what are those called?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Like a smock? Smock? Nothing? Yeah? You and I used
- 20:59Speaker 1: to paint a lot. We would go and do like
- 21:01Speaker 1: painting classes, paint and sip classes like a non problematic
- 21:06Speaker 1: painting teacher in Orange County. Please, but you had to
- 21:09Speaker 1: wear an apron because you would get paint all of
- 21:11Speaker 1: yourself fully. My next like kind of WTF. She's trying
- 21:15Speaker 1: to get like Evan to like tap into his childhood
- 21:19Speaker 1: and they're literally finger painting with like tempera paints. I'm like,
- 21:25Speaker 1: what is happening here? Yeah, dumb the cat pizza painting
- 21:31Speaker 1: to be found in the antique shop. Yeah, terrible, terrible, terrible. Also,
- 21:37Speaker 1: she doesn't want that in her food truck. It's in
- 21:39Speaker 1: the way. It's so huge, it's it's almost comically huge,
- 21:43Speaker 1: like in Gilmour Girls in the Year in a Life
- 21:46Speaker 1: when they have the big portrait of Richard after his
- 21:51Speaker 1: here in the Life one. Yes, yes, yes, yes, but
- 21:55Speaker 1: don't they do a Rory one at some point and
- 21:57Speaker 1: it's like it's season one and it's like over the
- 21:59Speaker 1: man it is, Yeah, but Lorala had one of hers
- 22:02Speaker 1: as well, and that storyline was like because Emily had
- 22:07Speaker 1: Rory doing some crazy thing with like a swan and
- 22:10Speaker 1: like holding her hand over her head and it was
- 22:12Speaker 1: like this, I'm sure launching season one. Oh that's fun. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 1: we just got the they accidentally fell asleep with Miss
- 22:21Speaker 1: Patty's studio drama. No. I already talked about David being
- 22:27Speaker 1: the coolest ambassador or whatever he is the art at
- 22:32Speaker 1: the Paint and Sip Night. I thought Sherry's was a
- 22:36Speaker 1: good representation of her date Evan, like it was a
- 22:41Speaker 1: coolish painting. Yeah, his was awful, yes, and it should
- 22:45Speaker 1: have been, like I get, I was like supposed to
- 22:47Speaker 1: be funny, but also that's not what you do at
- 22:49Speaker 1: a paint and Zip night and you all paint the
- 22:50Speaker 1: same thing the class. Yeah. But then at one point
- 22:54Speaker 1: they show her painting and her like portraits are all
- 22:57Speaker 1: around her, which is she feels is her specialty, and
- 22:59Speaker 1: they're so bad. They're like cartoony almost, you know. I look,
- 23:05Speaker 1: there's a lot of art out there. They could have
- 23:07Speaker 1: picked better art for these people, Like I feel like
- 23:09Speaker 1: you and I could have made better art. I wonder
- 23:12Speaker 1: where they source this stuff from. Do you think they
- 23:14Speaker 1: just like hire somebody and they're like, hey, can you
- 23:18Speaker 1: just paint a bunch of these portraits that are not
- 23:20Speaker 1: very good? Maybe? I don't know. I would love a
- 23:24Speaker 1: set decorator to weigh in. M M, just not the
- 23:27Speaker 1: one from this movie, because I'm not trying to dog,
- 23:29Speaker 1: but it was pretty bad. Yeah, all right, that's all
- 23:33Speaker 1: I got. I'm scared to ask. What did you rate
- 23:38Speaker 1: Sherry's second act? I gave it two stars? Same Okay,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I was really disappointed after the first one. I was
- 23:46Speaker 1: so excited to sit down and watch this. Thank you
