- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't have any hill share your.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Suck and we hold the world ransom for why excuse
- 0:12Speaker 3: me while I whipped this out.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Shoot broadcasting live and it led her Georgia to this.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is the Sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy, you
- 0:23Speaker 1: big pill began?

- 0:25Speaker 1: Gang?
- 0:26Speaker 5: Can you win me down again?
- 0:27Speaker 1: You freak me down?
- 0:29Speaker 2: That comes to win, comes to cork.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Get it comes to Mark.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Is it just doing? I'm gonna do it big again.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna go on the way you began.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm mean listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I am the Sports Shock Wayne Candy, Good morning to you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: And just like you, I wish this college football season
- 0:58Speaker 1: would end. I needed to go away. Twenty twenty four
- 1:04Speaker 1: is over. Please go away, be done. Are you really serious?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Are we still college football?
- 1:19Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:21Speaker 1: And that we had the semi final? We ain't even
- 1:25Speaker 1: at the final of the night. No, to Day ain't
- 1:27Speaker 1: Penn State semi I mean somebody to Night is gonna
- 1:31Speaker 1: win and have to wait.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Another eleven days?
- 1:36Speaker 1: What are y'all doing? This is not a playoff. You're
- 1:41Speaker 1: not getting the best of people. I'm here to tell
- 1:45Speaker 1: you that time off breaks rhythm in any profession. It differentiates, sure,
- 1:58Speaker 1: but a comedian off a long time has to search
- 2:00Speaker 1: for his timing a DJ. If he's stay off a
- 2:04Speaker 1: long enough time, he has to come back with the
- 2:07Speaker 1: same equipment he left with because the newer equipment added
- 2:12Speaker 1: another feature and he's sitting there the whole time trying
- 2:16Speaker 1: to figure out what that button is, and he's so
- 2:18Speaker 1: scared of it that he pulls out his own stuff
- 2:21Speaker 1: because he's been on. It's based on timing. Please do
- 2:25Speaker 1: not do my brain surgery. If you haven't done surgery
- 2:29Speaker 1: in five years, Please let somebody else do it.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Please.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's been a long time. It's January the ninth. It's
- 2:44Speaker 1: a long time and it's not in sequence. So it's
- 2:47Speaker 1: not like the NFL, So don't try to or know.
- 2:50Speaker 1: The NFL continues. Super wild Card Weekend is here. Nobody
- 2:56Speaker 1: has stopped playing football. There's a game, people the rule.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It keeps rolling. And that's why I will sing. Everybody
- 3:05Speaker 1: wants to change something to stop adding games, stop get
- 3:08Speaker 1: the foundation of how the playoff is going to work.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You just want the game or do you want the
- 3:17Speaker 1: best game? There's a lot of time every two we
- 3:23Speaker 1: basically every two weeks, you let them play. That's kind
- 3:28Speaker 1: of how it shapes up. Every ten twelve days, you
- 3:31Speaker 1: let somebody play, and now we finally get to the
- 3:35Speaker 1: semi and then we have to wait till January the
- 3:38Speaker 1: twentieth to get the final. So most of these guys,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I mean, the deeper you go, you can't go to
- 3:46Speaker 1: the Senior Bowl or to any other little bowl that
- 3:49Speaker 1: might help you with your pro stole. You're gonna have
- 3:51Speaker 1: to go from this to the combine, and then you're
- 3:56Speaker 1: gonna we'll be reporting in two or three weeks that
- 3:59Speaker 1: so and so and so did not go to the
- 4:00Speaker 1: combine because he was tired.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he was tired.
- 4:03Speaker 1: He hasn't had time to work on his forty or
- 4:06Speaker 1: his bench press or any of the other things that
- 4:09Speaker 1: you're gonna measure him by. So you know what he does,
- 4:11Speaker 1: He waits the march to pro day. It's it should
- 4:17Speaker 1: be over that it should be done some kind of way.
- 4:21Speaker 1: You gotta get rid of this bowl system. Let the
- 4:24Speaker 1: playoff system happen. That's what happened the other night Montana State,
- 4:28Speaker 1: North Dakota State Monday night.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That was it.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That that division whatever Division two, Division III, I forget
- 4:37Speaker 1: the name of it. They're done. They went in sequence
- 4:40Speaker 1: and then they were done. I know you didn't pay
- 4:42Speaker 1: an attention, but this has been drawn out long enough.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Now it is like Brad and Angelina Joe Lee divorce.
- 4:50Speaker 1: How did it take you nine years to get a divorce?
- 4:54Speaker 1: I don't understand nine years.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It get complicated. No, no, no.
- 4:58Speaker 1: If we only took one year when through all your
- 5:00Speaker 1: affairs and took another year and went through all.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Your fairs, should have took you two years. Then what
- 5:06Speaker 2: else were we supposed to do?
- 5:07Speaker 6: But like the old DJ, they added a button and
- 5:10Speaker 6: that year three okay, and we should have been able
- 5:14Speaker 6: to work that out.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So okay, so we could do a U, a U
- 5:18Speaker 1: and a wei and that's still three. How did we
- 5:20Speaker 1: get to nine year?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Somebody? Petty?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Nine years it took to get a di voice in
- 5:26Speaker 1: between two people? Yeah, yeah, I mean, maybe it's just me.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Even I'm impressed with that, you know what I'm saying.
- 5:36Speaker 6: I have seen some lifted processes, but even I'm impressed.
- 5:38Speaker 2: And it's the same thing. I mean, it might just
- 5:40Speaker 2: be mean.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But the last college season regular season game was like
- 5:47Speaker 1: November thirtieth. That was like the last actual regular season
- 5:54Speaker 1: games for college football. Anything after that was like the conferenceamionships.
- 6:01Speaker 1: But that think about how long ago that was. Some
- 6:06Speaker 1: of us that might be a little run a little
- 6:08Speaker 1: older can't even remember seven weeks ago and we still
- 6:12Speaker 1: have another eleven days. But tonight we'll ride with it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Seven point thirty. Notre Dame Penn State doing battle down
- 6:23Speaker 1: in Florida. Thankfully, they're not in the cold of the
- 6:27Speaker 1: Northeast and they're not in the wildfires of LA. They're
- 6:31Speaker 1: gonna be down in South Florida playing the game. So
- 6:36Speaker 1: know there, Dame Penn State tomorrow night. Ohio State, Texas.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I know you SEC people, y'all don't particularly feel like
- 6:44Speaker 1: Texas has been around long enough to represent you, but
- 6:48Speaker 1: they are SEC and they are.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Our last hope.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So they will play Ohio State down in the Cotton
- 6:56Speaker 1: Bowl tomorrow night.
- 6:59Speaker 2: And as I told you on Monday, pay yourself.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's a long long It starts to night, it won't
- 7:05Speaker 1: end until about one o'clock Monday or one o'clock Tuesday morning,
- 7:10Speaker 1: because it's football every night for the next five nights.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And it starts tonight with San Dieg excuse me, with
- 7:19Speaker 1: Penn State. And Notre Dame. The Baprodusa is in the building.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Command you, Greg is in the building. The funny man
- 7:27Speaker 1: from Smyrna is in the building, because you know how
- 7:30Speaker 1: funny aspar as Jack.
- 7:33Speaker 6: I've been looking at something. Maybe you can help clarify.
- 7:35Speaker 6: I don't know if this is accurate. They say spring
- 7:37Speaker 6: practice for college football starts about March third.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yes, well, what I'm.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Saying the game ain't gonna be over to Fiftuary fifty
- 7:47Speaker 1: and then.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Y'all want me to run it bike, Yeah.
- 7:49Speaker 6: Running biken start practicing again for this next whole year season.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yes, that's a long time.
- 7:56Speaker 6: I mean when you when your season runs into the
- 8:00Speaker 6: preparation for the next season, that's that's got to be
- 8:03Speaker 6: tooled a little bit.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Somebody's gonna have to work that out.
- 8:05Speaker 1: At this point in the year, I was starting to
- 8:08Speaker 1: get ready to go down to Mobile for the Singing Bowl,
- 8:13Speaker 1: because the single bowl game typically was a week or
- 8:16Speaker 1: two weeks before the Super Bowl where all the scouts
- 8:20Speaker 1: came played the little bowl game they used to have,
- 8:24Speaker 1: like the Shriner's Bowl, and they used to have one.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Over Hawaii East West Trying Bowl.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And then like I said, yeah, it was like three
- 8:29Speaker 1: bowls that you would have for juniors.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Well, the Senior Bowl was a great game that you
- 8:34Speaker 2: can see up there. The Senior Bowl flex well, you
- 8:40Speaker 2: know what everybody can't do it sports.
- 8:44Speaker 1: When I look at stuff like that, it's less flexing
- 8:46Speaker 1: and more reminiscing that.
- 8:48Speaker 2: The jersey is thirty years.
- 8:49Speaker 6: So thirty years and it's a senior And back then
- 8:53Speaker 6: it meant a great Dre's a lot of wear and tear,
- 8:57Speaker 6: Like you forget how long an object that you're gonna have.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And so when I looked up there, I started saying,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that's a long time for that material.
- 9:06Speaker 6: And senior tech a new meaning. Now, you know, take
- 9:12Speaker 6: on a whole new meeting when you talk.
- 9:14Speaker 1: About discounts and don't discount the discount unless you never
- 9:20Speaker 1: got a full meal for three.
- 9:24Speaker 2: With the drink drink.
- 9:26Speaker 7: And it also means you put four years in with
- 9:28Speaker 7: one institute or possibly.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But it's just I was like, wow, these guys.
- 9:33Speaker 1: And then when I looked at that January twentieth is
- 9:36Speaker 1: the championship game, it just added another like so I
- 9:40Speaker 1: played the night. If I'm penning State, I win. If
- 9:43Speaker 1: I'm not the name, I win. And then I wait,
- 9:46Speaker 1: again until the twentieth to get some more action. You're
- 9:54Speaker 1: not dealing with it. I'm just trying to get people
- 9:56Speaker 1: out of saying timing. That's why I said that timing
- 9:59Speaker 1: of a lot of things. You know of the teams
- 10:03Speaker 1: stay in better rhythm. But when you start giving seven, ten, eleven,
- 10:07Speaker 1: twelve days between each game.
- 10:10Speaker 6: And I'm not asking for a doubleheader. You know what,
- 10:14Speaker 6: you play tonight and win and didn't play tomorrow or
- 10:18Speaker 6: later in that evening.
- 10:19Speaker 2: You give it a week seven seven days.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It's a historically been the framework of how much time
- 10:24Speaker 1: you get, and that's what you really try to go on.
- 10:28Speaker 1: One of the roughest time for coaches is when you
- 10:31Speaker 1: keep when you add a day or take a day,
- 10:33Speaker 1: they try to figure out, for nego how to eat
- 10:36Speaker 1: up that time. So go ahead and mane.
- 10:38Speaker 8: Well it's There have been some talks about tweaking the
- 10:43Speaker 8: current playoff system because of the of the layoffs, Like
- 10:47Speaker 8: the teams who had to buy they were off for
- 10:51Speaker 8: at least three weeks before playing.
- 10:54Speaker 6: Four right now, right now, So they're talking about tweaking
- 10:58Speaker 6: like y'all didn't think about none of it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: It's when you was the original first.
- 11:03Speaker 8: Time they're trying to keep the tradition of the of
- 11:06Speaker 8: when these bulls are played, like when they're supposed to
- 11:08Speaker 8: be January first, Like the Rose Bowl is gonna be
- 11:11Speaker 8: January first, no matter what.
- 11:13Speaker 2: So you got they got to schedule around that.
- 11:15Speaker 8: Nobody even with these other games.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But nobody even play.
- 11:20Speaker 1: But as it goes, the names of the bowl park fades.
- 11:27Speaker 8: To us. Yes to them, I don't think it hasn't.
- 11:31Speaker 8: They're trying to we are them. I was going to say,
- 11:37Speaker 8: people who organized, who organized, trying to keep it.
- 11:42Speaker 2: They have some kind of contract.
- 11:44Speaker 1: No, that's just that's just them trying to keep their
- 11:46Speaker 1: thumb in some first of all baggage fees. But that
- 11:52Speaker 1: is killing the game. You start singing in the numbers,
- 11:57Speaker 1: you get people less and less interested, gentlemen, trust me.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Trying to get someone who went to another college to
- 12:04Speaker 1: watch two other colleges play for something is already tough enough.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And then now you tracks because.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Remember each and every time something happened, you lose a
- 12:15Speaker 1: fan base. Now people keep thinking that, oh no, you're
- 12:18Speaker 1: gonna be pulled in and intrigued. Now, now every round
- 12:22Speaker 1: you lose people's interests. On today beat Georgia.
- 12:26Speaker 6: It was a whole state of people tuned out, full
- 12:32Speaker 6: of people tuned out. Yes, I'm done for football for
- 12:35Speaker 6: this year.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You'll get two thirds of the Georgia fan base that
- 12:38Speaker 1: won't watch anymore football period. They already don't who They're
- 12:42Speaker 1: gonna pull for nobody. We'll be back more than Sports
- 12:45Speaker 1: Jock Show right.

- 14:12Speaker 2: Mind, walk a mile in my shoes. Walk a mile
- 14:15Speaker 2: in my shoes. Walk a mile in my shoes.
- 14:18Speaker 14: We've all felt left out, and for some that feeling
- 14:21Speaker 14: lasts more than a moment.
- 14:23Speaker 2: We can change that.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Learn how it Belonging begins with us dot org, brought
- 14:27Speaker 1: to you by the AD Council.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Welcome mile in my shoes.
- 14:34Speaker 15: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 14:38Speaker 15: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 14:40Speaker 15: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 14:43Speaker 15: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 14:46Speaker 15: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 14:50Speaker 15: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 14:53Speaker 15: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:57Speaker 15: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 15:00Speaker 15: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 15:03Speaker 15: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 15:05Speaker 15: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 15:08Speaker 15: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 15:11Speaker 15: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 15:15Speaker 15: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 15:17Speaker 15: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 15:21Speaker 15: and watching your kids be happy.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Never stop being a dad.
- 15:26Speaker 13: That's dedication.

- 15:51Speaker 2: the Jock of the Day. All the sports jockshit just.
- 15:54Speaker 17: Taking it to a completely different level this year.
- 15:56Speaker 18: Where we highlighted appote that has taken their game to
- 16:00Speaker 18: the next level.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Alight, now miske it is all that perspective for all.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Y'all enjoyed me. Welcome back to this Shock Show. I'm
- 16:27Speaker 2: this Sport Shock Wayne Nickny. We got a lot to
- 16:30Speaker 2: talk about today.
- 16:30Speaker 1: We got college football playoffs tonight and tomorrow night. We
- 16:35Speaker 1: got NFL Wildcard Super NFL Wildcard weekend which is Saturday Sunday,
- 16:42Speaker 1: and we'll talk more about that Rams Vikings game. Will
- 16:46Speaker 1: it have to be moved to Arizona in a second
- 16:49Speaker 1: as well? But something that the panel here grew up
- 16:54Speaker 1: on and from some of you. You will remember, if
- 16:57Speaker 1: you're I would say forty us when the moment of
- 17:03Speaker 1: crowning Miss America was a huge deal where you actually
- 17:09Speaker 1: knew who Miss America was. The name was referenced, you know,
- 17:17Speaker 1: around a lot of them, all the way back to
- 17:22Speaker 1: was she a young lady that married Rick Fox Williams
- 17:26Speaker 1: and those people to Kenya Moore. Names like that, people
- 17:32Speaker 1: would be known. Even if they forgot it at the
- 17:34Speaker 1: moment that you did it, people would know. That doesn't
- 17:37Speaker 1: mean that it stayed in there head, but it used
- 17:39Speaker 1: to be a thing of who won Miss America. It
- 17:42Speaker 1: is still going on. That's why I'm reporting on it
- 17:45Speaker 1: that for two reasons. First, the young lady went to Auburn.
- 17:49Speaker 1: She was a cheerleader and a nurse. She went to
- 17:51Speaker 1: Auburn Abbey Stockard, so that was one of them. And
- 17:57Speaker 1: the second was just how that moment in time has faded,
- 18:03Speaker 1: Like things like winning Miss America. You have to kind
- 18:08Speaker 1: of tell people, yeah, hey, I'm nobody would know what
- 18:12Speaker 1: that meant anymore, the reverence for it. They didn't know
- 18:17Speaker 1: you was even miss whatever state you was in. Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: how you get that?
- 18:25Speaker 2: So you know, it's amazing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: How like when you think we were talking about how
- 18:29Speaker 1: things just can fade away, right, this was I would say,
- 18:34Speaker 1: maybe twenty years ago. Is that more of social media?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Is this more of women's has tagged me too? Faded?
- 18:42Speaker 2: I don't know, Sports Jack.
- 18:43Speaker 6: It's interesting that you mentioned social media first because when
- 18:46Speaker 6: I went to see a profile picture of Miss Abbey Stockard,
- 18:52Speaker 6: the link took me to her Instagram page, and one
- 18:56Speaker 6: of the first things that I see is what looks
- 18:58Speaker 6: to be a photo shoot of her in a long,
- 19:02Speaker 6: flowing gown with a whole lot of legs showing that's
- 19:06Speaker 6: new too, you know what I'm saying. Miss America used
- 19:09Speaker 6: to be kind of a very conservative outside of the
- 19:13Speaker 6: swimsuit competition, which usually those swimsuits were, am I right?
- 19:16Speaker 2: Were one piece? Yes?
- 19:18Speaker 6: Yeah, we're always one piece. You know, some of these
- 19:22Speaker 6: things are changing. I think part of the landscape too
- 19:26Speaker 6: with social media is that our generation watched television because
- 19:31Speaker 6: that was our medium for gathering information. Very few people
- 19:36Speaker 6: in this generation in time now actually use a TV.
- 19:40Speaker 6: They and unless they can find it or it's a
- 19:43Speaker 6: link that comes across their timeline, they don't know about it.
- 19:47Speaker 6: So you know, I would think that would have something
- 19:50Speaker 6: to do with it as well.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Manchi, Greg Bad Producer. Any comments on why you think
- 19:55Speaker 1: it might have faded away to where? Because I can
- 19:58Speaker 1: tell the surprises me to telling you.
- 20:01Speaker 6: It was still going out going on that it happened
- 20:06Speaker 6: already a week ago.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I was still thinking.
- 20:09Speaker 7: You know, you had to Miss us A and then
- 20:12Speaker 7: you had to Miss America. You know, it was two
- 20:14Speaker 7: of them, actually there were. It was a Miss us
- 20:17Speaker 7: A pageant and the Miss America. Then you had the
- 20:19Speaker 7: Miss Universe, so you actually had it was a difference,
- 20:23Speaker 7: so you had what is between Miss USA and the
- 20:26Speaker 7: Miss America. I don't I know that I was sponsoring
- 20:30Speaker 7: one of them. Maybe America encompassed American.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Territories, Okay, very various, stute, sir. Yes, if I was
- 20:38Speaker 2: going maybe that would be.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Why include Hawaii and yeah, whereas the Miss.
- 20:46Speaker 2: US would be just what the name? But whatever? Maybe
- 20:49Speaker 2: America the you know, where's Tim Duncan from? Uh that
- 20:57Speaker 2: Puerto Rico?
- 20:59Speaker 1: Maybe someone the Virgin Islands, Miss Virgin Islands is only
- 21:03Speaker 1: able to be part of Miss Miss America, right right,
- 21:07Speaker 1: And this is just I'm just freestyling this. Don't think
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'm sitting here.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Like somebody who's in pageants like how there you yes question,
- 21:16Speaker 7: I'm using using some critical not something as simple as
- 21:21Speaker 7: that and which probably only cuts out you know, five
- 21:24Speaker 7: six maybe competitors.
- 21:26Speaker 1: But I would say maybe maybe something just as simple
- 21:30Speaker 1: as territories versus states.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It's possible, and would that and then you got.
- 21:38Speaker 7: I'm saying all it takes is reasonable doubt and that
- 21:40Speaker 7: because Miss Quarto Rio would be now that's an American territory,
- 21:45Speaker 7: right yeah, yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 1: So maybe that you know, like that person gets added
- 21:50Speaker 1: in in the Miss America pageant and then in the
- 21:54Speaker 1: Miss us, they're not.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I don't know, but go ahead.
- 21:57Speaker 11: No.
- 21:57Speaker 7: I was just gonna say, like at some point time,
- 22:00Speaker 7: because it's a lead up to it. A lot of
- 22:01Speaker 7: those ladies there, they're in the Miss teen, they may
- 22:04Speaker 7: win the Miss Team, and then they platform up to
- 22:08Speaker 7: the next one, next competition. So I'm wondering how all
- 22:12Speaker 7: the competitions are going now. Have there's been changes in
- 22:15Speaker 7: those all the way around as far as the pages.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Well, I know.
- 22:21Speaker 1: President Trump he started one of them, correct, he didn't
- 22:26Speaker 1: start one of them, Yeah, one of them at one okay,
- 22:31Speaker 1: And I think Miss Universe was crowned maybe at the
- 22:33Speaker 1: end of December possibly, and.
- 22:37Speaker 7: You know what the last time it was, these things
- 22:41Speaker 7: used to be huge, huge, like.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Used to be.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Would imagine you have to become Miss America to get
- 22:46Speaker 1: invited to Miss Universe, so they would have to be
- 22:49Speaker 1: where maybe one started in January and then the Miss
- 22:53Speaker 1: Universe is crowned and in things.
- 22:56Speaker 2: In the later in the year, November, December, later in
- 22:58Speaker 2: the year so out.
- 23:01Speaker 6: And this is as a kid when they would say
- 23:03Speaker 6: mister Universe, I always wanted an A League lady to show
- 23:06Speaker 6: up because you know, I was a Star Trek kid,
- 23:10Speaker 6: I just thought it would be cool if a lady
- 23:12Speaker 6: would show up like a greed or a multi armed lady,
- 23:16Speaker 6: because it's the universe writing in early drug use.
- 23:20Speaker 2: And I didn't say what questions. We'll be back with
- 23:25Speaker 2: more to Sports doc show right after this cooks our.
- 23:28Speaker 7: Part of town A similartle bid nom now we all
- 23:32Speaker 7: grown up?
- 23:32Speaker 2: Oh and be on a cosic shoulder. They better had
- 23:35Speaker 2: a ride gear ready.
- 23:36Speaker 17: Trying to back me again rock steady while the back
- 23:39Speaker 17: one double I touched you.

- 23:55Speaker 4: the unicycle sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what. That's exactly
- 24:00Speaker 4: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 24:03Speaker 4: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time,
- 24:06Speaker 4: So when you're behind the wheel, give driving your undivided attention.

- 24:50Speaker 20: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 24:54Speaker 20: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 24:59Speaker 20: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 25:04Speaker 19: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 25:07Speaker 19: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 25:09Speaker 19: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 25:12Speaker 19: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 25:15Speaker 19: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 25:18Speaker 19: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 25:21Speaker 19: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 25:25Speaker 19: I am whole. I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 25:52Speaker 2: And now back to the sports Giant, Wayne Ann in
- 25:59Speaker 2: the Raid You got the Hill.
- 26:03Speaker 21: Chill, Relax, Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 26:24Speaker 1: On the Sports Shock Wayne Candy Supercar Wildcard weekend. We'll
- 26:28Speaker 1: start down in Houston, the Chargers, who actually have a
- 26:35Speaker 1: better record at eleven and six, taking on the Texans.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Houston Texans, who are ten and seven. But the Texans
- 26:43Speaker 1: won their division. And remember the four division winners, three
- 26:49Speaker 1: of them get home games. The one that wins their
- 26:52Speaker 1: division with the best record, allah the Kansas City Chiefs,
- 26:57Speaker 1: they get the one by that they have now the Chargers,
- 27:02Speaker 1: Jim Harball. Not a lot things said. It seems like
- 27:06Speaker 1: Jim Harball has been in the NFL forever because we
- 27:11Speaker 1: haven't heard a lot about this is his first year.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Now Coach of the Year, Texas Coach of the Year.
- 27:19Speaker 1: You can get some votes, No I'm saying. I'm saying,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you tell me, why wouldn't he get the vote?
- 27:23Speaker 2: First year? Eleven and six? Why wouldn't I? Okay, so
- 27:27Speaker 2: who else? Tell somebody? The coach up there, he always
- 27:32Speaker 2: on the coach up there? Who you got? I mean,
- 27:34Speaker 2: so we're gonna look at Dan Campbell, Kevin. But Dan
- 27:37Speaker 2: Campbell was already there and he didn't win. He didn't
- 27:41Speaker 2: win it. He wanted twelve games. That's what I'm saying.
- 27:45Speaker 1: He be a makeup call. He's well, it's possible. Now
- 27:50Speaker 1: you're like an NBA rap.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 27:54Speaker 6: I'm saying that Dan Campbell had a very successful season
- 27:58Speaker 6: prior and he built on that and maintained it, which
- 28:01Speaker 6: is a feat in itself, but.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Especially with all the injuries Detroit.
- 28:05Speaker 6: But for a person to be a rookie coach in
- 28:10Speaker 6: the NFL and can we.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Can we call him a rookie coach playoffs?
- 28:20Speaker 7: This man is a legend. And that was at the
- 28:24Speaker 7: forty nine ers. No, listen, but he's coaching. He know, yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 7: he know the landscape. No, No, that doesn't count.
- 28:32Speaker 2: No, that don't count. I said, he's in eligible, don't count. Award.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I'm saying, he's been here before.
- 28:38Speaker 1: But but most of the I'm just bringing that up
- 28:41Speaker 1: because you haven't heard a lot of buzz about him,
- 28:44Speaker 1: about the Chargers, or about the great job he's done. Uh,
- 28:49Speaker 1: if you ask people about their team most people can name,
- 28:52Speaker 1: like two people remember the receiver left and went to Chicago,
- 28:56Speaker 1: Keenan Allen, who was kind of there more other than
- 28:59Speaker 1: the quarterback Justin Herbert. Those are the two most well
- 29:04Speaker 1: known guys. Bosa was known, but he was always in
- 29:08Speaker 1: and out the lineup, and I think he still was
- 29:10Speaker 1: true this year with him. They cut down his reps
- 29:12Speaker 1: so he could play more. But be eleven and six
- 29:17Speaker 1: on the road to Houston in a game that, at
- 29:21Speaker 1: least on paper, you feel like the Chargers can win
- 29:24Speaker 1: this game. The Texans don't seem to have that energy
- 29:30Speaker 1: they had from last year, but they did enough to
- 29:32Speaker 1: win that division. Their division over there in the AFC
- 29:37Speaker 1: South was kind of like the Tampa Bay winning the
- 29:41Speaker 1: NFC South. It was kind of like that kind of
- 29:44Speaker 1: division wasn't necessarily a great division because they had what
- 29:47Speaker 1: the Jaguars, the Titans, and the Colts are in there
- 29:53Speaker 1: with Houston, so it wasn't like they had other monsters
- 29:57Speaker 1: in the division with them. But you win the division,
- 30:00Speaker 1: get a home game, which bodes well. But the thing
- 30:02Speaker 1: that the Chargers get a lucky break on with that
- 30:06Speaker 1: is that it's indoors, and I'm quite sure whatever football
- 30:11Speaker 1: gods they were praying to. They were hoping to be
- 30:14Speaker 1: in that slot because going from La a semi indoor
- 30:19Speaker 1: facility and having to travel to Buffalo, which is a
- 30:24Speaker 1: completely out which is with this kind of temperature, Now
- 30:31Speaker 1: that's not this kund of temperature.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Ain't in Buffalo is spending time.
- 30:37Speaker 6: It's twenty six degrees here today, and you would rather
- 30:41Speaker 6: be here than in Buffalo.
- 30:43Speaker 2: You would rather be here with your shirt off.
- 30:46Speaker 7: Than bundled up in Buffalo digging out of snow, digging
- 30:49Speaker 7: out of snow.
- 30:55Speaker 6: And this is the thing about Buffalo. Snow's neck deep.
- 30:57Speaker 6: And there's no reports like rippling snowstorm. No, it's just Buffalo.
- 31:02Speaker 6: Everybody just going about their business.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Everywhere else we getting snow days and you can take
- 31:07Speaker 1: eggs and everything else there in Buffalo.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Also, hey, you know you're three minutes late.
- 31:14Speaker 1: One of the biggest news, one some of the biggest
- 31:16Speaker 1: news coming out of the AFC was the firing of
- 31:21Speaker 1: Antonio Piers with the Raiders. We talked about Monday where
- 31:26Speaker 1: I felt like that probably was the direction they were
- 31:29Speaker 1: going to go in if they were going to draft
- 31:33Speaker 1: a quarterback. Antonio Peers, who took over about four games
- 31:39Speaker 1: for the previous season. This year was his first full year.
- 31:44Speaker 1: The Raiders went four and thirteen this season. And you
- 31:51Speaker 1: can only brag and tell him. First of all, Antonio,
- 31:54Speaker 1: I must tell you this, when you wear your earrings
- 31:58Speaker 1: on the sideline as the head coach, you gotta win.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Got to win, You have to win. You got to win.
- 32:06Speaker 1: You well, he would always wear his die. He still
- 32:12Speaker 1: came as though he was the assistant coach into the
- 32:15Speaker 1: head coach job. He would wears diamond earrings in his
- 32:18Speaker 1: ear And when you do that, I'm not telling you
- 32:21Speaker 1: can't be you. When you want to be you as
- 32:24Speaker 1: the head coach, you have to win. That's the only
- 32:28Speaker 1: way you're allowed to be you. If you don't, then
- 32:32Speaker 1: you have to put on more of a suit of
- 32:34Speaker 1: the company.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Because outside of that, you become a detractor and a distraction. Hey,
- 32:39Speaker 6: if he wasn't doing all that foolishness, they might even
- 32:42Speaker 6: focus on some fundamentals. You might see what I'm saying.
- 32:45Speaker 6: But as a company guy, things ain't going right.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Then.
- 32:48Speaker 6: We just tooling our formula. We're trying to see where
- 32:51Speaker 6: the slackie is. We're trying to pick that up. We're
- 32:54Speaker 6: trying to see where our shortcomings are. But when you
- 32:57Speaker 6: out here, as they say, free styling all Willy Nelly,
- 33:03Speaker 6: then people look at that and they go, it's a
- 33:05Speaker 6: culture thing. Oh, it's a lack of respect for the
- 33:07Speaker 6: rules and the regulations. And that's I think what sports
- 33:10Speaker 6: jock is saying. When you show up like that, you
- 33:13Speaker 6: got to be a super winner to where people that's
- 33:16Speaker 6: the only thing that they justify your actions with.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Three.
- 33:20Speaker 1: The difference between Marcus Freeman and Dion Sanders, okay, kind
- 33:26Speaker 1: of vibe. When you come as prime, you have to
- 33:30Speaker 1: win because that's how you came as a winner. When
- 33:35Speaker 1: you come as Marcus Freeman, who's the head coach of
- 33:37Speaker 1: Notre Dame, he comes as the business of Notre Dame.
- 33:41Speaker 1: It's official Notre Dame. There is no Marcus Freeman dot
- 33:46Speaker 1: com on the back of his shirt. No, no coach
- 33:49Speaker 1: or whatever. Coach Free, you don't have any You just
- 33:53Speaker 1: have a shade deal.
- 33:55Speaker 7: Why that you don't You don't see what I'm saying
- 33:57Speaker 7: the coach I'm loving to coach Free.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I'm do you understand what I'm saying?
- 34:01Speaker 6: Coman he doesn't have a tagline, he doesn't have right
- 34:06Speaker 6: They they just call him coach Marcus Freeman of Notre Dame.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That's it.
- 34:12Speaker 6: And when they talk about him, they always talk about
- 34:16Speaker 6: the football program. When they talk about Colorado, they talk
- 34:21Speaker 6: about Prime and one or two players. I've I've still
- 34:26Speaker 6: yet to discover what's going on with the rest of
- 34:30Speaker 6: the team other than and And had he not gone
- 34:36Speaker 6: to a bowl game this year and gotten a Highland
- 34:39Speaker 6: Trophy winner, I think they would have been making some
- 34:41Speaker 6: hard decisions about it.
- 34:42Speaker 2: And that's true even in the athlete. The more you
- 34:46Speaker 2: have to be successful.
- 34:47Speaker 1: When you talk think about the guy from Pittsburgh, the
- 34:51Speaker 1: receiver picket run his lips and since he was running
- 34:57Speaker 1: his lips, not catching the ball, all no touchdowns.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Other night he.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Dropped like five or six balls. Because you can talk
- 35:06Speaker 1: to talk. Yeah, And that's why I'm saying with de Den,
- 35:09Speaker 1: talked to talk and then go walk the walk. Yes,
- 35:12Speaker 1: And that's what i mean with Antonio. You come out
- 35:14Speaker 1: like a two part process.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they are the components to it. You got to
- 35:19Speaker 1: combine it. And I'm not saying that's why he got fired. Oh,
- 35:22Speaker 1: when you come out there like that, that's just the
- 35:24Speaker 1: piece of advice. Then you have to go out and win.
- 35:27Speaker 1: He didn't win, which made him the sixth head coach.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I know USA Today tried to run some article and
- 35:35Speaker 1: make it black and white, but they fired three black coaches,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and they fired three white coaches. And they actually fired
- 35:43Speaker 1: three white coaches, two of them before the season finished.
- 35:46Speaker 1: They we forgot. They fired the Carolina coach about Frank
- 35:51Speaker 1: Rick right, yeah, Frank right, yeah, didn't he was in
- 35:55Speaker 1: his grass. Somebody came past house. He looks Frank. They
- 35:58Speaker 1: got man, I'm on my way to the No. I
- 36:01Speaker 1: don't worry about it. Bears coach. They got rid of
- 36:04Speaker 1: Doug Peterson at Jacksonville. Brian Davill just happened to hang on.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think they just had too much chaos up there.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Trust me, they wanted to fire. They're just trying to
- 36:15Speaker 1: figure out. They don't know what direction they want to
- 36:18Speaker 1: go on. And the Raiders with the firing of Antonio Peers,
- 36:22Speaker 1: that's their fifteenth coach, and then may in English thirty
- 36:27Speaker 1: years ever since they fired Art Shell, the Raiders have
- 36:30Speaker 1: had like fifteen coaches.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I think I read there's many coaches in their organization.
- 36:37Speaker 1: And then they got draw Mayo out of New England.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Where I always felt they just kind of didn't have
- 36:45Speaker 1: who they wanted. I think with him and the Raiders,
- 36:48Speaker 1: they hired people that were company guys who have been
- 36:51Speaker 1: part of the organization a long time.
- 36:53Speaker 6: He don't need nobody to show you around the building.
- 36:56Speaker 6: I can get you through.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 36:57Speaker 7: And while they're trying to blame males firing now, they
- 37:00Speaker 7: tried to make that one racial because of the firing,
- 37:03Speaker 7: because he won his last game and knocked the Patriots
- 37:06Speaker 7: out of the number one pick, and they're trying to
- 37:09Speaker 7: say that that's the reason why I know the players
- 37:11Speaker 7: was playing hard. It's regardless they're playing for the next
- 37:13Speaker 7: job next year or a position within the organization.
- 37:16Speaker 2: You would think hopefully.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I just think with both My first thought with
- 37:21Speaker 1: any of those the trend is to find an offensive
- 37:24Speaker 1: minded coach to be your head coach when you have
- 37:28Speaker 1: a first pick quarterback, kind of like how the Vikings are,
- 37:34Speaker 1: you know, they try to find that if you got
- 37:36Speaker 1: a veteran, then you can go with a defensive guy.
- 37:41Speaker 1: But I think like the Raiders probably gonna draft a
- 37:43Speaker 1: quarterback and they're gonna want someone that can ride to
- 37:47Speaker 1: work with it. That kind of mindset. But we'll come
- 37:50Speaker 1: back talk more about the NFL. Pittsburgh and Baltimore will
- 37:53Speaker 1: do battle in Raven Territory Saturday night, so we'll talk
- 37:59Speaker 1: about that. I did much more of Super Wildcard weekend
- 38:02Speaker 1: and the college football playoff and some pillow fighting between
- 38:06Speaker 1: Shaq and Dwight Howard.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Again, we'll be back in.
- 38:14Speaker 17: You can't try to Bill Snowflick yet it dat ample combi.
- 38:18Speaker 2: I'm trying to Britney saw.
- 38:19Speaker 17: Me, Josh Smie catch me in the club with double.
- 38:23Speaker 10: Edged Bigum, Witney John Bowl, Wayne Board of the Sports

- 39:32Speaker 2: Hi.
- 39:32Speaker 23: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race car driver, and
- 39:35Speaker 23: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 39:36Speaker 23: fast as possible. My Grandpa Loo is the reason why
- 39:39Speaker 23: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 39:41Speaker 23: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 39:43Speaker 23: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 39:46Speaker 23: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 39:48Speaker 23: journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my
- 39:50Speaker 23: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 39:53Speaker 23: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with
- 39:56Speaker 23: their memory or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about
- 39:59Speaker 23: Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you notice something,
- 40:02Speaker 23: have a conversation with your loved one, encourage them to
- 40:04Speaker 23: see a doctor or offer to go with them. Early
- 40:06Speaker 23: detection of Alzheimer's can give your family time to explore
- 40:09Speaker 23: support services, make a plan for the future, and access
- 40:12Speaker 23: available treatments. The Alzheimer's Association provides care, support and research
- 40:16Speaker 23: to help you take control of the situation with your
- 40:18Speaker 23: family and manage the disease together. If you or your
- 40:21Speaker 23: family are noticing changes, it could be Alzheimer's. Talk about

- 40:59Speaker 2: so you sports chaint, I'll sing even well, come back
- 41:06Speaker 2: to them shock Shune This what shocks Wing Gatty.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Good morning to you out there listening land. We are
- 41:12Speaker 1: moving to the college football playoffs which are tonight. They
- 41:16Speaker 1: start because you know, they're moneymakers, so they want to
- 41:19Speaker 1: sell those night dollars. So still having both games on
- 41:24Speaker 1: the same day so both teams can have the exact
- 41:29Speaker 1: same rhythm. They want to monetorize it, which you know,
- 41:36Speaker 1: the night hour they charge more for commercials, Yes, they
- 41:39Speaker 1: do so. And you can have more aggressive commercials at
- 41:44Speaker 1: night than you can in the afternoon. And afternoon you
- 41:47Speaker 1: have to sell Pampers and baby food. At night you
- 41:51Speaker 1: can keep running them ads about gambling and ed.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say, at night you can you
- 41:59Speaker 2: can get.
- 42:02Speaker 6: Are you and your lady struggling to experience the heights
- 42:05Speaker 6: of anency?
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's just all they're doing right across the counter, and
- 42:09Speaker 1: everybody's like, what it is. Capitalism at his finest is
- 42:13Speaker 1: the exemplary example of America. When you talk about the
- 42:18Speaker 1: shield and sports in a hole, can you said, we
- 42:22Speaker 1: had a couple of and one thing I forgot to
- 42:24Speaker 1: tell you about Antonio Peers Patrick Mahomes say he liked
- 42:28Speaker 1: the firing so obviously when he was playing the Raiders,
- 42:31Speaker 1: he was trying to get him fired because you know,
- 42:33Speaker 1: Antonio Peers had made some comments about him a year
- 42:36Speaker 1: or two ago or something like that about how there
- 42:39Speaker 1: was the Jordan ruse and now there's the Mahmes ruse.
- 42:42Speaker 2: They won't let nobody.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Touch him up and you know, because he was remembering
- 42:46Speaker 1: when he played you go touching, going back up you like.
- 42:53Speaker 2: They called it football back then. Football now they call
- 42:57Speaker 2: it uh rough in the past.
- 43:01Speaker 1: So Patrick Mahone saw the fire and he was cool
- 43:04Speaker 1: with it, and I guess that's why he was. He was,
- 43:07Speaker 1: you know, that's motivation. You got to you know what,
- 43:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna take your job because I do know, because
- 43:13Speaker 1: some people don't. I knew one of my happiest moments,
- 43:16Speaker 1: and I can't even remember who the coach was, but
- 43:18Speaker 1: we beat l s U my senior year. And by
- 43:22Speaker 1: the time we were on the bus driving back to
- 43:24Speaker 1: the plane because it was in old Rouge, yes, they
- 43:28Speaker 1: was announcing on the radio that the coach was fired.
- 43:30Speaker 1: And boy, we celebrated. And that's kids ain't going you
- 43:38Speaker 1: beat a man down there for him in the locker room. Man,
- 43:40Speaker 1: you have to pack your bags. We beat you down.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I don't hope y'all have.
- 43:45Speaker 6: Some food in the refrigerator when you get home. That's hilarious.
- 43:48Speaker 6: And we laughed, We laughed, and we laughed.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Patrick Mahone somewhere on his yacht laughing at Antonio, gonna
- 43:56Speaker 1: put you some ear rings, you said, We got coming online.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yes, we do our loyal online listeners. We got RJ. Twitty.
- 44:04Speaker 6: When you were talking about the length in the playoff system,
- 44:07Speaker 6: says all Fact Sports Jock Lloyd. Listener Jared Lloyd says, yeah, Greg,
- 44:12Speaker 6: I'm here for all that D block soundtrack, but that's
- 44:15Speaker 6: not the soundtrack we're playing.
- 44:17Speaker 2: RJ.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Twitt said they need to get rid of these traditional
- 44:20Speaker 6: bowl games inside the playoff. They can still make enough
- 44:23Speaker 6: money outside the playoff. Playoffs should be its own brand.
- 44:27Speaker 6: Bowls are for those who did not cut it in
- 44:30Speaker 6: the regular season.
- 44:31Speaker 2: That's it. That's all. I thought.
- 44:33Speaker 6: The bowl games used to be for the people who
- 44:35Speaker 6: did the best in the regular season, but now they've
- 44:38Speaker 6: kind of been relegated something different. Donny Brown says, I
- 44:41Speaker 6: think they are similar. But Miss USA represents the country
- 44:44Speaker 6: in Miss Universe. Okay, like, so yeah it does.
- 44:50Speaker 7: Miss Universe represents the countries and then whoever wins from right,
- 44:55Speaker 7: Miss America goes to compete in Miss Universe, right she
- 45:00Speaker 7: I think she miss us A. I think because.
- 45:03Speaker 2: In the country US Okay, so miss that that's what
- 45:06Speaker 2: he's saying.
- 45:07Speaker 6: Miss us A, us A represents the country, right, So
- 45:11Speaker 6: Miss America just does something else.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Listen.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Uh, well, we wonder I wonder if those same ladies,
- 45:19Speaker 1: women that compete like we were saying, uh, Miss virgin Island,
- 45:26Speaker 1: does she get to go to she can get into both? Yeah,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I think they do because they can get into Miss
- 45:31Speaker 1: Universe and into Miss America right right, so lose I
- 45:38Speaker 1: don't know. We have also Coach of the Year.
- 45:41Speaker 6: Donny Brown says Dan Quinn because he's a Commander's fan,
- 45:45Speaker 6: and Kevin O'Connell and I'm just being honest, he's a
- 45:49Speaker 6: super Commander's fan. Not that Daan queenn ain't doing a
- 45:52Speaker 6: good job, but he was gonna throw him in there.
- 45:54Speaker 6: And then uh, Jared and Donny both say Kevin O'Connell
- 45:58Speaker 6: should get a nod and Jared change because they lost
- 46:02Speaker 6: their QB and won fourteen games with a former j
- 46:05Speaker 6: E T s Jets Jets just first round QB got you.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Those are our comments from the online listeners. Y'all keep listening.
- 46:13Speaker 6: Uncle Charlie just looks uh shocked at some of the comments,
- 46:18Speaker 6: and uh it says all the Antoine says, all the
- 46:21Speaker 6: coaches you name got more than one season and had
- 46:24Speaker 6: some level of talent. I guess that's to suggest that
- 46:29Speaker 6: Antonio Peters should have gotten more than one year, and
- 46:33Speaker 6: that his squad lacked.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Frank Right only was there for three months.
- 46:41Speaker 7: He was there for o t as, like trainings, ot as.
- 46:46Speaker 2: That's like being there for the pregame but can't get
- 46:49Speaker 2: in the club. You know, have a couple of beers
- 46:51Speaker 2: with you.
- 46:52Speaker 7: He was, But then I get turned right right with
- 46:54Speaker 7: that guy free before eleven.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 46:57Speaker 1: But but I'm trying to help people with this whole thing,
- 46:59Speaker 1: because it's gonna come and go. First of all, they
- 47:01Speaker 1: fired any and everybody. They're okay, paying you at the
- 47:06Speaker 1: one year and still have to pay you three years.
- 47:08Speaker 1: But I'm getting people to understand some hires are just placements. Yes,
- 47:16Speaker 1: they're just placement. They're not really the higher They're just
- 47:21Speaker 1: the placement for now, for the front row when you
- 47:23Speaker 1: have to at the Garman War. Don't need the empty seat. Yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 1: I can't leave them to see. I really left that
- 47:31Speaker 1: for Beyonce and Jay. But if they ain't here on time,
- 47:36Speaker 1: somebody got to go sit up, call year up Jonathan
- 47:42Speaker 1: and so before you Sometimes and I'm not because I'm
- 47:45Speaker 1: not in these meetings, and I know Greg, We'll come
- 47:47Speaker 1: back here. He has a question about the Titans. Some
- 47:49Speaker 1: of these are and that's why I say think about
- 47:51Speaker 1: both of those hires before you get into the color.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Rod Mayo and Antonio Peers were guys that have been
- 47:58Speaker 1: on those teams as coaches for a while, and the
- 48:02Speaker 1: ownership just see, maybe was just trying to get through
- 48:07Speaker 1: a year. Yes, sometimes you're doing something. Sometime you know
- 48:11Speaker 1: you got you need to get rid of a car
- 48:15Speaker 1: or some tire or something, and you just are like, well,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I just got to get through. I just need to
- 48:19Speaker 1: get to November. So I can't make the move now,
- 48:23Speaker 1: but November I can make the move. And it's the
- 48:25Speaker 1: same thing with coaches, teams and the Raiders. I've always
- 48:29Speaker 1: felt like that they go out they have I really
- 48:32Speaker 1: want this coach and they do all they can behind
- 48:36Speaker 1: the scenes to get him, and then he doesn't come.
- 48:38Speaker 1: And it's like, well, I know you because remember you
- 48:42Speaker 1: was at the Diddy party with me.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Hey, hey, hey, Reign, just be the head coach. Okay,
- 48:49Speaker 2: Auburn bring it up and I'll be the head.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Calvin with Cadillac went through that. Just a couple in
- 48:54Speaker 1: Cadillac was on the Raiders staff as the running back
- 48:56Speaker 1: coach this year. But Auburn kind of went through that
- 48:58Speaker 1: and then people, why don't you, Oh, that wasn't the deal.
- 49:02Speaker 1: We had to get through five games and we made Cadillac.
- 49:07Speaker 1: When I was here with the Falcons and the old
- 49:09Speaker 1: boy left.
- 49:10Speaker 7: My main, My main made. They made him the coach.
- 49:12Speaker 7: They made miss emmtt Smith coach Smith the coach uh
- 49:19Speaker 7: for like the last four games. Yes, but they didn't
- 49:22Speaker 7: hire They didn't put him there to hire him. We
- 49:24Speaker 7: just need somebody to demand this ship.
- 49:26Speaker 2: We'll be back. Yeah, let me tell me come back
- 49:30Speaker 2: more to Sports Job show right after this Don't Get
- 49:35Speaker 2: It Job, Don't get.

- 50:46Speaker 14: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are

- 51:54Speaker 1: We change your tunes here and go into uh, you
- 51:57Speaker 1: know the NBA and other sports college uh basketball, where
- 52:02Speaker 1: the SEC has decided to take over that as well
- 52:05Speaker 1: in this season.
- 52:08Speaker 2: With the Raiders.
- 52:09Speaker 1: The Raiders have always, I know you, said Antony Antoine
- 52:14Speaker 1: Lily was saying online about the dysfunction.
- 52:18Speaker 2: The Raid have a rookie coach and a rookie despons.
- 52:22Speaker 1: The Raiders have always. Their philosophy hits occasionally and it
- 52:30Speaker 1: misses a lot because what they do they have always
- 52:33Speaker 1: the Raiders, I know, they're more committed to talent than professionalism.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Their whole thing is we're going to put more talent
- 52:46Speaker 1: on the field than you and that's going to win
- 52:52Speaker 1: over your structure.
- 52:55Speaker 2: There.
- 52:55Speaker 1: There there's a structure like the Patriots or the Stillers
- 53:01Speaker 1: right that there's a structure.
- 53:02Speaker 2: There's a weight.
- 53:03Speaker 1: There's a Stiller weight and when X stealers look out
- 53:07Speaker 1: at the feel we understand. We our questions is that
- 53:12Speaker 1: ain't the still away? What do you mean y'all don't
- 53:14Speaker 1: have a full back on the roster? What what kind
- 53:17Speaker 1: of a tie comin up is this? You won't have
- 53:23Speaker 1: no fool But you know that's the Stiller way. The
- 53:25Speaker 1: Patriots have a way, the Raiders ways always I'm gonna
- 53:29Speaker 1: go get the most talented but easily distracted.
- 53:34Speaker 2: I mean, he is a bad boy. If we can
- 53:36Speaker 2: get him to the stadium, I bet you can't.
- 53:38Speaker 7: We can get him if we can get him to
- 53:43Speaker 7: The Raiders keep a lot of handlers. Yeah, they they
- 53:46Speaker 7: that's their philosophy. Get to get the player that they
- 53:48Speaker 7: got that they know that's a problem.
- 53:50Speaker 1: So if anything, the Raiders either have to go change
- 53:54Speaker 1: their philosophy to find success or they just have to
- 53:59Speaker 1: wait to They got more dominant talent then, but that's
- 54:04Speaker 1: how I felt like they've They've never had a way
- 54:06Speaker 1: of anything other.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Than my talent. I got more talent than you.
- 54:11Speaker 6: We hit you harder, we get up higher, we run faster,
- 54:16Speaker 6: and put that on the field. Let's see who win.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Comand you had a question about the Tennessee Titans. Yeah, so.
- 54:23Speaker 8: They decided to keep their coach Brian Callahan and fired
- 54:27Speaker 8: the GM Ran Carthon, And normally see that the other
- 54:33Speaker 8: way around, Like we see that the GM can if
- 54:37Speaker 8: they made decision to fire a coach, they can bring
- 54:39Speaker 8: in another coach, but they normally don't. You're not able
- 54:42Speaker 8: to hire, you know, a third coach, a third head coach.
- 54:46Speaker 8: But with this being the other way around, when a
- 54:49Speaker 8: GM comes in, wouldn't they normally want to have their
- 54:52Speaker 8: own head coach? Like what do you think is the
- 54:54Speaker 8: reason for that that they would keep the coach over
- 54:58Speaker 8: the GM, and then the GM has to like you
- 55:01Speaker 8: have to work with this guy.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Well, there's a couple of reasons, one being that the
- 55:07Speaker 1: GM Carthon, yes, might have been the one who made
- 55:14Speaker 1: us go get a particular place. Typically is like a
- 55:18Speaker 1: owner coach GM situation. Now you're on the hook for
- 55:24Speaker 1: who you told me to go get, Like your job
- 55:27Speaker 1: is like that sometimes when you see now me and
- 55:31Speaker 1: the owner, me being Callahan and the owner, we didn't
- 55:35Speaker 1: want will Livis, but you been.
- 55:38Speaker 6: Kenny kept on coming in here saying y'all need to
- 55:42Speaker 6: look at Bill, and I was like, nah, I'm good,
- 55:46Speaker 6: And then you called me one day and said, I
- 55:49Speaker 6: hope you're not busy, but I just wanted to ask
- 55:52Speaker 6: you again, would you take another look at my guy Bill?
- 55:56Speaker 6: And I said, listen, man, I'm not really comfortable, And
- 56:00Speaker 6: you said, okay.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Or there's an opportunity to grab someone who used to
- 56:05Speaker 1: work with Callahan that would unite faster than me getting
- 56:12Speaker 1: rid of him and you finding another head coach. So
- 56:16Speaker 1: it's different little nuances to it that you have to
- 56:23Speaker 1: you know, It's like I always tell you have to
- 56:25Speaker 1: look at your team and start realizing stop taking your
- 56:28Speaker 1: team and using other teams as an example, because your
- 56:32Speaker 1: team operates the Cowboys operate different.
- 56:36Speaker 2: I was, I was just about thirty one teams.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Jerry owns his team in a different way to the
- 56:42Speaker 1: point Jerry just hires.
- 56:44Speaker 2: A head coach. Yeah. He just told him then other day.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Because I was going to when you when you were
- 56:51Speaker 1: talking about the GM.
- 56:52Speaker 7: And but the other day just resert. He just they
- 56:56Speaker 7: asked him the other day was he going to get
- 56:57Speaker 7: a GM?
- 56:58Speaker 2: Want him to fire himself?
- 56:59Speaker 6: Yeah, Jersey, And that's the point some you were talking
- 57:03Speaker 6: about how sometimes when you get a GM and a
- 57:05Speaker 6: coach and this, and what if you get an owner
- 57:08Speaker 6: like a wood he Johnson or a Jerry Jones. This
- 57:13Speaker 6: I'm gonna do it well, I'm gonna do it the
- 57:15Speaker 6: way it comes to me in the moment, Like right now,
- 57:17Speaker 6: this seems like a good idea, and next season I'll
- 57:20Speaker 6: be thinking, I don't really like this, well, but I'm
- 57:22Speaker 6: gonna stick with the idea anyway.
- 57:23Speaker 7: What question would like the Falcons We've lot. We felt
- 57:28Speaker 7: we kept Dmitri off for too long. He took over
- 57:30Speaker 7: for Rich McKay, now Fortner Terry Faulknoll who came in.
- 57:35Speaker 7: He Smith was hired before Faultno was hired, but they
- 57:40Speaker 7: fired Smith and and now he's here as i GM.
- 57:45Speaker 7: And you know, we knew that when they draft the
- 57:47Speaker 7: quarterback it was more for the offensive side. So you
- 57:49Speaker 7: can't blame the gym. Sometimes there are situations where the
- 57:52Speaker 7: GM is good, THEO have to be there and the
- 57:55Speaker 7: and the owner's gonna keep it.
- 57:57Speaker 6: Sports Jock were about the Raiders and oh yeah, that's
- 58:03Speaker 6: their philosophy, and Jared says, that was our Davis Raiders.
- 58:07Speaker 2: His son is clueless. Just look who he chose as
- 58:10Speaker 2: his barber.
- 58:12Speaker 6: And one said a thousand words could not have said
- 58:15Speaker 6: this better, and you have to google Ol Davis Junior
- 58:19Speaker 6: and Mark Davis, Mark Davis. I'm sorry, Mark Davis. His
- 58:23Speaker 6: haircut is is Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber. Yeah,
- 58:27Speaker 6: but Mark carry I mean, Mark Davis has a billion
- 58:29Speaker 6: dollars right, and.
- 58:31Speaker 2: I guess it don't matter. He probably cut his own hand.
- 58:35Speaker 2: The more money, Jared, you have to worry about your haircut.
- 58:38Speaker 6: He probably cut his own hat. Trump just you know,
- 58:42Speaker 6: come home and turn the lights side. I'm gonna see
- 58:44Speaker 6: what I come.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Up with, and I and I can.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I will because those guys are Raider guy. I can
- 58:48Speaker 1: see what they're saying. Uh, And That's what I'm saying.
- 58:51Speaker 1: With the Raiders. Mark Davis hasn't decided what his philosophy is.
- 58:58Speaker 1: He got the team, he was kind of still going
- 59:01Speaker 1: by how his daddy was doing it, but he hasn't
- 59:04Speaker 1: seen in it on what he he keeps going back
- 59:09Speaker 1: and forth. One year, he thinks he wants to be
- 59:11Speaker 1: kind of like the Patriots and have that kind of structure, structure,
- 59:16Speaker 1: and he you know, went and got Antonio Brown with
- 59:19Speaker 1: that's not the same when it got John Grew.
- 59:22Speaker 2: You know, he seems to be looking for hisself to
- 59:24Speaker 2: figure out what it is.
- 59:26Speaker 1: And most teams that are in and out the Falcons
- 59:30Speaker 1: keep bouncing around on what are they an.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Offensive team or defensive team?
- 59:35Speaker 1: Are we gonna build through the draft or we're gonna
- 59:38Speaker 1: build through free agency? Like these are questions that you
- 59:42Speaker 1: have to decide and stick with. And he's agacy. Every
- 59:47Speaker 1: other year we change our style. He's not like his
- 59:51Speaker 1: daddy was in Oakland. This is a whole He's also
- 59:53Speaker 1: in the whole new territory. We'll be back more than
- 59:55Speaker 1: Sports Shock Show right after this and.
- 59:59Speaker 26: Why I and Zania because of the PMD man And
- 1:00:03Speaker 26: when I walk through the cry I can see has
- 1:00:05Speaker 26: turned and I have voiceless says number don't go away?
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: Or of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dan videos
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: coming up next. And now let's talk about something exciting
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: percent actually have life insurance.
- 1:00:26Speaker 12: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:00:30Speaker 12: forever life insurance.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Will you be leaving benefits or bills.
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:00:40Speaker 12: survived without me. That's why I'm made an appointment with
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: the insurance informant.
- 1:00:43Speaker 11: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family
- 1:00:46Speaker 11: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:00:51Speaker 12: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:53Speaker 11: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:01:00Speaker 11: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: or bills? Dot Com? That's benefits or bills? Dot Com?
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Not do the stop.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: I don't have any Why shall share your sup and
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: we hold the world ransom for Wayne y excuse me
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: while I whip this out Shure broadcasting live and it
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: led her to a jail.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: This is the sports shock Ship with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:01:38Speaker 11: You may vegan me up?
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Can you get you fank me down?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: That console? Consol cocket come to Mark?
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: Is it just go.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna go on the way you vegan.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Show Queen Gatty. Good morning to you. We're glad to
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: be here on this Thursday, running into college football playoffs.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: If you missed any of that first hour, you can
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: go to Amazon and Apple, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, or Spotify.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: After the show, our man comanch, you, Greg, will upload
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: everything you'll hear in that hour that we talked about.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: This college football process. It has to be changed, it
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: has to be more sequenced to it. When you talk about,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I know you the powers that be, and rightfully so,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: because bowls and the Rose Bowl, the Orange Bowl, those
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: things were they were the true beacons of some of
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: the most historical and classic moments in football ever happened
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: in those games, and they used to have so much
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: power and they usually one or two of them was
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: gonna determine who people felt were the national title. Now
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: once you had the playoff system, unfortunately, that really kind
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: of waters down bowl games. And we talked about that
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: so much over the last couple of weeks, to the
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: point that you had four guys here who love football.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: From what I see the four of us, all football
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: is our number one watch, I would say, and.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Please speak of.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Sports is our number one watch of something. And but
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: none of us really participated in watching much of the
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: bowl games.
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: And some of those games no one even participated in
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: going in. Do you remember a week or so ago
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: I sent out a text over the weekend about, hey, guys,
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: rush to the TV right now. I think seven people
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: showed up for that game. They didn't report where like
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: the stadium held to think something like eighteen thousand and
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: I think fourteen.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: So before we try to decipher whether they not give
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: somebody a buy or make it eight or make it sixteen,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I think it has to be the end of the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: regular season happens, and then the playoffs happen, and they
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: happen every weekend until there's a champion. There is no
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: conference championships anymore. I'm sorry. That was unfair to make
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Georgia come down here and play Texas in the SEC
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: championship game. And then there was four or five teams
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: that made the college football playoffs that didn't even have
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: to play a game. Why, I don't know, but you
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: got to get rid of that's why some of the
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: pundits never wanted a playoff system because they knew it
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: canceled basically the whole model of the postseason. So you know,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: it's a lot weighing on, but we will see how
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: it goes. Uh, give me that church finger. I get
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: scared it just before we move? Did you did you
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: leave church with a church finger?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: You just left?
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: It varied, It depended on who was ushering, depending on
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: who was If it was one of the cool us
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: and ladies, I was just sliding.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: But if it was my auntie, I have to raise
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: the fingers, say something like you know in Jesus name,
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: or something like the church means I'll be back. A
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: lot of people don't really realize that forever. That really
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: means a moment. And that's why I didn't need my
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: auntie there. She'd be on some I thought you was
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: coming back. But go ahead on what your thoughts, Sir.
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: Charlie wanted to know, will mister dumb and dumber haircut
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: listened to Tom Brady when it comes to choosing a
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: quality quarterback. Tom Brady's part of the Raiders ownership and
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: he's a proven winner. From what Uncle Charlie's been saying,
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: and so do you think that he can get in
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: the owner's ear and be like, hey, man, let's do this.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I think that Mark seems to be open, and a
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: lot of his tenure as a full owner has been
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I think when all he has all those guys even
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: up there, when you see he when he had with him,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I think he listens, He's open. I think that his
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: biggest thing is he just doesn't have a model on
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: how he has an idea, which was he got his
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: team out of Oakland and into Vegas. I think that
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: was his thing, how to make sure we're closer to
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: the cowboy model as far as monetorizing, regardless of record.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I think he's trying to He's trying to situate him
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: in that.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Kind of way.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Now on the field, Charles Woodson, we've seen him up
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: there chatting with him. Guys that has been around that
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: you would imagine one championships. He probably is trying to
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: still figure his way on which way to go. But
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I just thought, like I said that Antonio Pears was
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: a place Matt a placemat typically is it's a win
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: win for me as an owner. I got somebody to
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: hold a ship down and if you win, I look
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: like a genius. If he knows I can get.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Rid of him, and they don't have to answer a
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: million questions down the road. The wildfires out in LA.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Will they affect Monday's night game with the Vikings and
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: the Rams. The NFL said, if necessary, they will move
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: that game to Arizona on Monday night. But the wildfires
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: are affecting everyone. The basketball world. Homes of JJ Reddick.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Steve Kerr, who plays for Golden State, owns a home.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Kawhi Leonard has taken some time out. I think he
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: has some big spread. The Pasadena is most of the area.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Pacific palis a hens which is more of a north
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: of LA. When you talk about that part is kind
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: of north and typically that's where the fires happen out
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: and more of the the part of LA that nobody
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: really ever sees. You know, people think the whole state
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: of LA is a city, but.
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: You know, you got downtown LA and then you got
- 1:08:19Speaker 6: neighborhoods with gates on.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: But when you start getting the Baker's Field in places
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: like that, it becomes more of just regular America. But
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: the wildfires seem to be causing a tremendous damage. Last
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: report I saw, they had reported that there have been
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: six deaths reported and so much damage. And right now
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: it's all about the wind. The wind is blowing the
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: smoke towards LA and how does that affect the game
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: is yet to be seen. I do know that Sofi
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Stadium as much as you see it, it looks like
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: a dome. I don't know if they have the possibility
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: the even or that they build it to close up.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: There's a one end of the end zone where it's
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: a I.
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: Think they discussed they describe it as a covered open
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: air stadium. Yeah, because when I went so it has
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: a covering, but there is no keeping the elements out.
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: If it's cold, it will be cold inside of the
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: It just keeps rain out.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: And I've been there twice and in the one game
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I called at night, the fog rolled in, Yeah, and
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: you could see it at the top. I didn't roll
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: in to the point that it got lower enough to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: affect the players, but that third level right in there,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: you would have thought somebody had done some fireworks. And
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: the smoke ess hasn't dissipated. Yeah, So you had a question.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: I was gonna say that in that area. I was
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: just reading because they say some of Malibu Beach was
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Is that all that? And that palisade all us in
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: the same area.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: A lot of that they call Los Angeles County. Yeah,
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: that's kind of like Fulton County.
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: Stretches from way way up that way to way down
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: over this way kind of thing.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: It is how a lot of it plays out.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: But you said your friends and some of your family
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: that you might have known, they lived not in Orange County,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: south of the city, like calls bad On down so
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: that way I know, Orange County County. Yeah, the city
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: headed towards more of headed towards Diego. Yeah, this is
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: north of La Okay. So but we will see how
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: this affects the RAMS game. We do know, as we said,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: some of the players, the guys that play own homes
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: out there. Kawhi Lynn, I think city a couple of acres.
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: Yeah, And someone reported that he in twenty twenty one
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: bought a seventeen million dollar home. And you know, I
- 1:10:56Speaker 6: don't know why they're giving the value of a person's home,
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: but specific palisades, those areas are known to be more
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: opulent where the celebrities live and they say, one of
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: the biggest concerns now is looting, and I know that
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: last night while watching the reports when they reported that,
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: my wife says, well, everything's burned up. But the conventional
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: wisdom would be that wealthy people with opulent homes have
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: safes and safe to fireproof. So now that everything that
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: hid the safe has burned down around it, I can
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: just walk onto the property and see the safest free What.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Is with that mind of people? I don't know. I
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: don't know.
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: They say, with the evilness of people like you. When
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: people are hurting down you want to go step.
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: Well, you have to understand the predatory mindset looks for
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: the easiest way.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: But the predatory mindset is always the people who don't
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: want to be hunted. You don't want you wouldn't want
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: your house regardless a word, is it burned down? And
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: then me and you go get a U haul truck, yeah,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: and just drive over there. Like when does at any
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: point some of why you can't get ahead is because
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: you that's how you always plotting.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: You always plotting scheme in the steam still apply on
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: how to get ahead.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: You plotting how to take somebody else. That's just listen
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: This's always the oddest thing to me as a person.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Katrina like right, right are you are? Y'all still in TVs?
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Like you're gonna plug in?
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: What's the power coming on? Well, I must have the
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: must have an inside.
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: Source gonna play it at the day and they're gonna
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: plug it in at the super Dome.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: And I would say that.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: The silver lining in a cloud like that would be
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: that someone with that mindset has that revelation at one moment,
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: wait a minute, we ain't e ain't got no power.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: And didn't think like why am I out here? Because
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: it happened.
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: Some people find themselves in schemes and it takes a
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: moment to realize, man ain't none of this ever benefited
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: me in the long run. It's always two steps forward
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: or steps back kind of thing. And that was surprising
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: to me as well that La County says their number
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: one concern now is looting.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: And and as you go, as we go to break
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: remember this one thing too. Most people that might have
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: something in this country.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: Worked for.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: You're always discounting that you might not have seen it.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: It might not happen in front of you, But most
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: people in this country work for their wealth. Yes, there
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: are people that have died and was left some but
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: most people that you even admire, but they still got
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: to maintain work for their wealth. And like I tell
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: most hated, it can happen for you to apply yourself.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: It can happen more than Sports Shock Show.

- 1:14:08Speaker 10: up next.
- 1:14:10Speaker 16: In sitcoms, when someone has a problem, they just blurt
- 1:14:13Speaker 16: it out and move on.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Well, I lost my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: How is your day?
- 1:14:20Speaker 16: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges can

- 1:21:10Speaker 6: The thing men, sir, they give you, give them a twenty.

- 1:21:58Speaker 7: day when they were two dogs. First of all, they're
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: not that good to be salivating on that long. They

- 1:22:12Speaker 7: to buy the support, but they're not something you'd be
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: sitting around when the last time you had them.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Oh, it just starts every March, everybody. I haven't.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say. Things that are good
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you typically can go fine. They sell them in the
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: stores now though they got a baptuse. I just told you, man,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I imagine you would you freeze them?

- 1:22:42Speaker 1: if we can say that on the air. I'm not
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: sure I didn't. I should have asked if we could
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: clear girls Scott, freeze them and free the big backs.

- 1:26:38Speaker 17: up likes Herman make Welcome back to the Sports Shock.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: Shot in the Sports Shock, Wayne Candy, good morning to
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: you the other night.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Three minutes into the game, and I wanted to ask you,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: is there underground fight club that we might just be
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: missing out on? Three minutes into the Raptors Knicks game,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: fight breaks out up in the stands.
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: What could happen three minutes into the game, I would
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: I would suggest that first the first the fight Club
- 1:27:12Speaker 6: is that we don't talk about fight Club. And for
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: you that don't know, fight Club is a movie. If
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: you haven't seen it, you should take this weekend and
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: watch it because it's a great movie. At Norton Brad Pitt.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: But I just said that because it's so many fights
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: happening in these arenas, and I have let my I've
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: said that it should be a federal crime to fight
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: in public places, in all public places, I just feel
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: like you should go in there knowing this is federal.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: This ain't no misdemeanor, this ain't this is to me
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: in our society today, all it take is one little
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: spark yeah today, Yeah, one little moment, and fighting in
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: the stand and in an arena can be dangerous to
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: everyone around you and a lot of people like the
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: bad producer who loves to actually think that's cool up
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: there fighting. I just think it should be a federal crime.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Same thing.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: I feel like when you run on the court, yes,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: and you you know you're within your mindset, you know
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: what you're doing. It's one thing you walking walking with
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: two beers and you fall onto the court, and it's
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: another where you have decided you're gonna run.
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: You should just know.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: I just feel like it's another when you to lay
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: down that law to get some of this to stop.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna put a thought in your head.
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: And now to my defense, only hockey games is when
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: I like that with because that's the whole different fan
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: base in this you have.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: I mean that's what fights are not humans and hockey games.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: I've seen more fights. No, they're not humans.
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: And he said, well, man, hockey games. I mean it's
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: humans at the game, right, I have met. Are there humans?
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: It's there, But there are some other things there too
- 1:29:05Speaker 7: at the hockey game. So there's some other things. What
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: every hockey game I ever went to here in Atlanta.
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: I've seen what else is there though? Forgetting the hockey?
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: What's going on? What else? Humans and what else? Oh
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: my god, please play that back.
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: Please.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: There's humans and other things there too, animals. I don't
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: think that to buy tickets, he said, there's but as
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: far as being allowed at the game, and the.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: Only reason I'm talking about it is just how fast
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: it happened.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: Maybe you know, yeah, whipper into the game, three minutes
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: into the game, twelve minutes, you got my seat.
- 1:29:48Speaker 6: I know, I know some people who used to go
- 1:29:51Speaker 6: to the club hoping to get into some sort of
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: These people are possibly of the same mindset. I'm gonna
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: go to the game, and because it's not a federal event,
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: I'm I can show out. I can show out and everybody.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: I might be on ESP and tomorrow and then Thursday,
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: I'll be back because you know, they're not gonna really
- 1:30:12Speaker 6: punish me, because there is no really punishing people for
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: this kind of thing. What I always think about when
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: these kinds of things break out in public events is
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: sometimes those things are distractions so that people can carry
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: out other nefarious acts.
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: So that's the first thing that comes to me. Let
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: me ask this question then if that was a fight
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: so we broke out, was it in Madison Square Garden?
- 1:30:36Speaker 15: Was it in Uh?
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: It was in New York? All right? What so there
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: was humans there and humans and other things. But you know,
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: m I see men in black.
- 1:30:47Speaker 20: You don't know.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: Ain't no telling what was in the garden.
- 1:30:52Speaker 20: Uh?
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: Hey, Uncle Charlie, say those tell those refs to stop
- 1:30:58Speaker 6: the BS calls messing up my parlay and the fight.
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: Yes, I'm with you, uncle, three minutes into the game.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: I haven't called anything yet.
- 1:31:07Speaker 15: Yeah you did.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: He was trying to throw your man the line. You
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: see how he swallowed the parlay was on the jump
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: ball part of the play.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts today will be when he finds out if
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: he passed the concussion protocol. Have any of you heard
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will be hosting Green Bay
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: on Sunday at four thirty, But.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: Already practiced yesterday limit limited.
- 1:31:36Speaker 7: Yes, this is the first time on the field and
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: now okay, so in three weeks, but he has to
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: get okay.
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: I think today he's still on the day.
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: What I'm asking is and I don't know concussion protocol
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: head injury thing. Early morning? Is that the best time
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: to be assessing my awareness? Nobody the end of the day, Okay,
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: I would say yeah, yeah, I was gonna say. I
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: would be hey, man, can we do this around two thirty?
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: The game Saturday Friday. The game is Sunday, Saturday four,
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: So if it was Saturday, they would have did the
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: assessment yesterday. Yes, okay, Yeah, I think it's a three.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I think it's a seventy two hour or something like
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: that kind of window that you have to have passed
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: by then.
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: Well, South Palatonio was on it.
- 1:32:17Speaker 7: So it's really whatever the gonna the decision that they're
- 1:32:22Speaker 7: gonna make, it's gonna, like you said, it's gonna be
- 1:32:23Speaker 7: to day at some point in time.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: And I hope he gets to play. Well, they're gonna
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: need him. I mean Green Bay with Jordan Love. They're
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: eleven and six, just happening to play in the same
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: division this year with the Lions and the Vikings, who
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: both won fourteen plus games. The Lions have the buy
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: the Vikings will be going out to LA hopefully in LA,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: which would be a great sign. That's why I said
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: it that way, right, Hopefully that means if the game
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: can continue on Monday.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: That under control.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: Things are a little more are under control out there,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: but green Bay taking on Philly, and we saw Philly
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: have to play that last game against the Giants without
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts. So who was that that they started at quarterback?
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: That Tanner McKee?
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that dude. Remember remember we wereromuns about.
- 1:33:21Speaker 6: We drove down to watch Tanner play the game, and
- 1:33:26Speaker 6: we was like, they putting me in, Tanner?
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: Remember you said, look, they putting me in Tanner? And
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: I said who. I was saying, man, that Tanner guy.
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: And and I said who? And you said that Tanner
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: guy in the backup. I normally play golf. Yeah.
- 1:33:40Speaker 6: Uh, I want to ask you going into this game, Uh,
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: if you're saquon, are you all out?
- 1:33:47Speaker 24: Are you.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: Zoned in, locked in? Or are you on? Some man?
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: I should have I should have tried.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: I think that's gonna be after the game. If they
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: played this game and lose, then it gonna feel like
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: something that you could.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: Have at least I could have went on got my record.
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: Yeah, something you could have tattooed on your saying you
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: can't tattoo on your form. Now, if we win it,
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: then everything went according to plan, right. I saved myself
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: and it was necessary because we But if I lose
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: in the first round, and I'm just talking about the
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: first round, the second week, wherever you're going, you lose,
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: but at least you have to win this one, yes, sir.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: If you don't win this one, and you're sac one Barkley,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: and see what I did for you, commands your greg.
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: I didn't play.
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: And I'm in the same spot, just one week removed.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: And I could have had twenty one oh five or
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: twenty one oh six or whatever it was supposed to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: be to break the record. And I got this record.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I left the season where people were gonna forget how
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: close I was, and Rogers got it record. I got
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: it record.
- 1:34:58Speaker 8: About Astley, some uh, some pundits have said that if
- 1:35:03Speaker 8: they don't if the Eagles don't win the super Bowl,
- 1:35:07Speaker 8: then they will regret not letting him go for the record.
- 1:35:14Speaker 8: I don't think I'll win the super Bowl to cancel
- 1:35:16Speaker 8: that out.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: Well, see that's what I'm feeling.
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: I feel like you don't have to go that far,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: but I do know you have to win this game, yes, sir,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't feel I'm just putting myself in Saquon. At
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: least my sacrifice should get us the one game, one game,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: one game, one game. Now, I can't tell the future
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: because I don't know about injuries.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: This is football. I don't you know. We go on
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: the road, hey, the Vikings, I don't understand. I don't
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: know about that. But this game, for my sacrifice, we're
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: gonna need cut my legs fresh fresh. That's what you
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: said you wanted fresh legs. I got fresh legs lost,
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: and I'm gonna.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: Broh, come on, man. So I'm not saying they're wrong,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: commanch you. I'm just saying I do know. To answer
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Big Kenny's question and yours, it's kind of if I
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: make this sacrifice, this fight, this sacrifice is supposed to
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: at least get me one win immediately payout, yes right now,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: and without Jalen hurts, which you guys said he practiced.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: So most likely he's going to try to go yes. Yeah,
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: because remember this is winn er go home. So and
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: hopefully he goes, and he goes not because he is
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: trying to tough it out, but because he is one
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: hundred percent correct, because toughing it out could mean even
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: worse because now you're out here and you're kind of loopy,
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: or we give you all these snaps and the first
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: time you fall, because remember that first you're still in
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: that kind of first time you fall, you two up
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: and you hit your head with the because I think
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: that's how he with the gang fingers. Yeah, yeah, that
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: we don't want that because he hurt hisself running the ball, Yes,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: yes he did. Now, so green Bay is one of
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: the tough opponents for this Philly team. Right off the
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: bat with the question of Jalen Hurts fresh, healthy, Jalen Hurts.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: I'll give it to the Eagles, but green Bay be careful.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: Sakwan will be mad because he didn't even try to
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: give himself a chance at that record. Yeah, and it's
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: not just it's gonna be tough to lose this game,
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: it's gonna be even tough to accept it ten years
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: from now. Ain't nobody broke the record yet? No, when
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: he some, when he goes to the Hall of Fame
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: and ed look at it, give him that look. All
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: of a sudden he got to clean his shade.
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: Still holding on you man, use the last threat this
- 1:37:49Speaker 6: old gunslinger face.
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: Ain't nobody even got close since then.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: So come on and say I'm pulling for the Eagles
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: down because I don't want you to feel that. Man,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: Lifetime sports. The thing about sports is just like any well,
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: life in general.
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: You you carry most of the negative, your regrets, more
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: than you carry him wins.
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: Them wins because the wins you expected. It's the things
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: where you messed up, the sack that you gave up.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: You know, yeah, you know you better than that, you
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: really when you're sitting there for no reason at all.
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: You could be sitting there watching The Witcher or the
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Games of Thrones and that third down play where you
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: dropped the ball back in them people didn't laugh. It's
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: but the cameras rolling them. People didn't laugh. One time
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: you talk to how did football come up? But I
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: would love to be in that as an adventure movie.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: This has nothing to do with football.
- 1:38:51Speaker 6: You just the performance from two thousand and three coming man,
- 1:38:55Speaker 6: what I'm saying I was and then I hit it out.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: We'll be back right after it is. You want explain
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: my plat so and also what defunds my name? First

- 1:41:54Speaker 1: The crew is in here in the feelings right now
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: about this Saint Queen Bar. It just it's like it's
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: just hit them. Well, the gravity of this game. If
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: sa Quin Barkley, who was one hundred and one yard
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: shy of breaking a forty year old record of Eric
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: Dickerson to be a single season rushing yard leader, decided
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: to sit out last week's game against the New York
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: Giants and not play to save itself and be fresh
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: for this game against Green Bay this Sunday. Big Kenny
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: is in his body Brown.
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: I'm saying now because it's well, see, this is the
- 1:42:38Speaker 6: from a personal experience. I've had personal experiences where we
- 1:42:41Speaker 6: auditioned as a group and everybody was like, hey, we
- 1:42:44Speaker 6: kind of like this dude, and I chunk the group.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: The dudes. I'm sorry.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: We all got individual ambitions and I love y'all, and
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: when I blow, we blow.
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: But I'm gone over like he can. Eddie Kane Jr.
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: He just you ain't never gonna be me. Feel like
- 1:43:05Speaker 7: Flash you never saw that movie. Yeah, I'm just sitting
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: here still shock though as far as with this whole thing.
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: And then I just had a thought sacrifice.
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: But I just had an.
- 1:43:18Speaker 7: What I'm saying, but do you think he was scared
- 1:43:19Speaker 7: to go deep? But do you think he was scared
- 1:43:24Speaker 7: to go against the Giants? Maybe the Giants might have
- 1:43:26Speaker 7: had a like, we're gonna be mad at Him'm gonna
- 1:43:28Speaker 7: take him out.
- 1:43:29Speaker 6: If anybody would. The huckle Barrier was the Giant. Listen,
- 1:43:32Speaker 6: it's a reason, y'all too in fifteen. I don't have
- 1:43:37Speaker 6: no fear of y'all.
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: Who is y'all?
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: I guaranteed to get the record against the Giants, and
- 1:43:43Speaker 6: that's I don't well.
- 1:43:44Speaker 7: And that's what I'm saying. He was set up to
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: break the record. And I don't just mean you gotta
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: imagine you. We don't know how Saquon left it with
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: the guys. The guys might have loved the safety might
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: love Saquon.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: That might be his boy.
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: We don't We don't we know how to saque and
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: the Giants ownership parted, or maybe him and Dame.
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: We don't know what the defense and I'm about to
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: miss this tackle this my boy.
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: We two and don't you think I want to see
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: him and get the record all of a sudden, Oh no,
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: he needed three yards the.
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: First they need. He gonna get him on me.
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: And that what the first he like Mark night Far
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: did with Michael and Mark, come back, come back, come back.
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: He ran that little and they don't even try.
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: You laid down, man, He did a little bootleg action,
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: turned around and something Michael and.
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: I can't you got me.
- 1:44:55Speaker 8: I put him in the record book in the first game,
- 1:44:59Speaker 8: in the first game against the Giants, had one hundred
- 1:45:04Speaker 8: and seventy six yards in a touchdown.
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: Yeah, what I'm saying. So it's it's like and so
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna be able to stop them
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: if you play to me.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: To me, the component, well, I mean just to fit
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: the component that comes with Saquon sometimes too and to
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: take a little pressure off of him, is that if
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: I put Saquon I think I said this before last
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: week's game, then the one or two linemen I'm not
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: putting Saquon out there with the backup O line, right,
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: So the two or three linemen that I dressed to
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: block for Tanner, kennern McKee, mckiss. So mostly the two
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: or three as many starters as they could take out.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: They took out of that game on the old line
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: as well, because it goes as a package, you know,
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: even having my prize Lane Johnson, if if if Saquon,
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: I know, that's just how I relate. If it's not
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: the starting quarterback and the starting running back now, and
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: I alluded to it's kind of like a preseason game,
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: then what am I doing out here with Tanner? If
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: I look up in Tanner's in the huddle, I'm gonna
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: have some questions next time I go to the sideline.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: I'll do this series for your coach, But uh, hey,
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: I'm a starter. Where is Mike Vick?
- 1:46:20Speaker 13: Oh?
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: He in the locker room? Then what am I doing?
- 1:46:23Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:46:24Speaker 6: But because I came here to block for so that
- 1:46:28Speaker 6: is a that is a personal ambition. As a starter,
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: I'm blocking for the starter. So as a Saquon again,
- 1:46:38Speaker 6: how man I would have just I would have chunked
- 1:46:40Speaker 6: them to douce. I got an album coming out Flash.
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: It's Lonely at the Top. Coming Out Flash is Lonely
- 1:46:49Speaker 6: at the Top. I love y'all, but you know I
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: done signed my solo deal b the.
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: SEQ O'Neal and Dwight, Howard added again, Remind me, guy,
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: why they both over the last couple of days talking
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: about they're dead to each other? And what did this
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: beef between two Hall of famers with bank accounts that
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: would sink to the bottom of the oceans quickly?
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: What are they fighting over the dunk contest? When Dwight
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: put on the Superman outfit, the Superman nickname, then the
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: Superman has always been.
- 1:47:22Speaker 7: That's what it's always been about, because both of them
- 1:47:25Speaker 7: was in Orlando, and you know, they initially shacked Superman
- 1:47:30Speaker 7: that was his s and then Dwight did the dunk
- 1:47:32Speaker 7: contest and put them and he was in Onlando.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: And somewhere Christopher Reeve is like, y'all don't know nothing
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: about Superman.
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: Y'all don't they have like but Dwight should have said,
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: I'm super together.
- 1:47:47Speaker 7: He should have been super Boy instead a Superman since
- 1:47:50Speaker 7: he's younger than.
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: And this is what the boy I thought.
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: This is what someone So there's no woman or some bet,
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: no room, a million dollar bet or something.
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: Come on, man, I can't even believe keep up with
- 1:48:06Speaker 6: the right house. Well, they said, let's come Dwight offered
- 1:48:11Speaker 6: him to come on the show. So they're going to
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: talk it out. Maybe it's more than what we think
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: on the White Show or on Dwight Show. Dwight asked
- 1:48:19Speaker 6: Shack to come to his part. Let's talk this out,
- 1:48:21Speaker 6: white Man, and so I be because furt First of all,
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: I never knew.
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: I didn't know whe but that's a great thing for him.
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: He looks like a chatty kind of guy. That's why
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: I thought he would be good in the w W.
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: Remember he said he might want to go into wrestling
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: and gossipy. But I thought it was about something. I'm
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: kind of upset that I even brought it on air now.
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: I thought they were beefing over something you played. It
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: happened because they played one or two years at the
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: same time, right, Yeah, So I thought it was about
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: something substantial, like Shaq and Barkley at some point they
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: kind of had a little riff because they had that
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: fight in a game one time, and then they put
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: it to the side. Idn't know they've been working together
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: for a long time. I thought it was about something
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: like that. I didn't know about it. Dunk contest and
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: against each other, not not the dunk contest it's just
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: about using the nickname.
- 1:49:10Speaker 7: But he put the whole Superman. Super was a judge.
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: It was hating on I mean a sports show.
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: The Lord better pull up a class on the dog
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: Boks meet him. I greedom just to speak for freedom.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: Thank you Lord. Troubles kicking ball and that respects me
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: back to his tackle. She say, I'm gonna get back

- 1:49:38Speaker 7: a cat for some pitfull.

- 1:50:48Speaker 2: Ad on the sports jock dot com. And now back
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: to the sports giant, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:58Speaker 25: It's time go to school board when we put a
- 1:51:00Speaker 25: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:51:05Speaker 25: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: No matter, it feels so beautiful. Don feel greed. Now
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: let me go. They already know it. That would take
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: to be telling him is about me. Welcome back to
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: his books, what have you? It's about me?
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: Thank you that for grad for finding that that quick,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: because Heny says about Hey, hey man.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: Look now, my name is David Ruffing and the temptations
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: come on now, somebody gotta be David.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: You take them lead notes, gonna say theyself now is
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: missing out he missing miss that's the hurtful part. There's
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: no more time to think about it. Committed already that
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: you did that, you committed already to that.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: I'm sure it hurts something. It wasn't like man, It
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: wasn't his decisions. Somebody from the Giants called him, like dog,
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: you know how to let you make them yards man.
- 1:52:53Speaker 7: Jameson even called him and said, if I don't playing quarterback,
- 1:52:56Speaker 7: I would have gave you.
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: Think about for to think about this. We going to
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: this game.
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: We won two or three game, whatever the Giants won, right,
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: blowing an assignment or tackle is probably why y'all only.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: On one, two or three.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: Ain't nobody gonna be suspicion. Nobody gonna be suspicious? Said,
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: I ain't nobody find some what if that one was
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: even let him get one hundred steelers or something like that,
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: you'd be shocked. But we don't want two games plus tackling.
- 1:53:28Speaker 7: He put up one hundred and seventy six the prior
- 1:53:30Speaker 7: game too when we were trying to stop him, right,
- 1:53:34Speaker 7: so to get this little one on one on one, one,
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: one on one one, that would have been an improvement.
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: We at least locked him down and held him to
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: one on five x NFL star Kelln Winslow Junior. Remember
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: the second he said he has lost his bid, uh
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: to have his prison sentence reduced. Remember they gave him
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: fourteen years for all that sexual predator stuff he was
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: doing at the gym, and I think he broke into
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: someone's trailer or something. But the the powers to be said, no,
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: we're gonna need to let you ride on that fourteen
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: years because, uh, if we remember that case, it was
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: some kind of strange stuff.
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: Didn't he have a bicycle he was riding around or
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: something like that, and it was a couple of steps
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: away from some kind of cereal.
- 1:54:28Speaker 6: Yeah, officer, he was in training, Yeah he was. He
- 1:54:31Speaker 6: was definitely warming up. It was pre season.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you will get to see Ezekiel Elliott. He signed
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: with the Chargers a couple of days ago. Remember the
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: Cowboys let him go, and we talked about the ability,
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: and I'm quite sure with Zeke had spoken spoken to someone,
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: his agent of somewhere he could land. He's going to
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: be the backup running back out there for the Chargers.
- 1:54:58Speaker 7: It looks like Zeke had the statement said if Cowboys
- 1:55:01Speaker 7: couldn't afford him and that's why he asks for the
- 1:55:04Speaker 7: release to that man.
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: And he signed with who now.
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: The charge La Chargers. So you're playing Houston. I guess
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: if you get some plays now he's supposed to. They
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: signed him Tuesday, So great opportunity for motivated a couple
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: of little snaps.
- 1:55:21Speaker 6: Yeah he will be Now that's that's a factor. That's
- 1:55:24Speaker 6: an impact trade right there. Yeah, I came here when Yeah,
- 1:55:28Speaker 6: that's what you want.
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: Plus y'all, y'all in it.
- 1:55:31Speaker 28: We in it.
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: So you know, all I got to do is get
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: my little bit to what you already doing and we
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: over the top in the moments.
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: Just run hard. See.
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: Dion Sanders has kind of changed his mind a little bit.
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: Says that he would coach in the NFL if someone
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: hired him to coach his sons, so kind of what
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: I had been alluding to the whole time, and everybody
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: thought I was crazy. Oh no, he'll never leave. Dion
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: is not staying in Colorado. I'm sorry to tell you.
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: If a great NFL job comes, especially the coach Shadeer
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: or Shiloh or the Seminole Nation come calling, remember he
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: that's where he wants to go. He wants to go
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: to f s U where he went to college. Let
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: by guns, be by guns, and that's where he wants
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: to be. So all this Colorado he's wants. First of all,
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: he don't like the cold weather. He's missing two toes.
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: I'm quite sure he wants to get back to some
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: warm weather. But he doesn't have to do all that
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: in the state of Florida. And you love him. University
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: of Florida would take him. The hurricanes, Florida state. He
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: wants to be on the East coast. He likes the
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: East coast times, almost like he's taking an sec job.
- 1:56:51Speaker 6: Do you think he would go to Florida that close
- 1:56:56Speaker 6: to FSU and it not be FSU.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so so you know Gators. He either wants
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: to be with him or compete against him. That's the
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: kind of mind. That's a mean guy.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: Yeah, because Deon would have played here was two interceptions
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: away from all time.
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that joke would have been out there.
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: He would have jump every round if he was nine
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: in US he gave up three touchdowns trying to get
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: two interception, jump every route.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I'm telling you, and I understand it.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: Look at uh so, Deon said, he would Stephen A.
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: Smith I did read some quote as I was researching,
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: says that Skip Bayless is too cheap to have offered
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: a million and a half for some sake.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he said skip cheap.
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: He ain't or he said, he said he until he
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: got to the amount. Basically he was kind of. But
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: when you when you saw me and a half, you
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: ken did a couple of the sticks of that za
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: and half.
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: Heint and maybe.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: I'm saying what I'm saying, but you then it with
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: the with the MILLIONA and the nine.
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: It ain't. I don't nobody, no, no, you lied. You
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: lied on that man. You lied on that man.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: I know what I know about people. And Leangelo Ball
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: part of the Ball brothers LaMelo and Charlotte Alonzo in Chicago.
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: But le Angelo, the middle son is now hip hop artist.
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: He has his name is Jello and says he has
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: some number top hit.
- 1:58:37Speaker 8: Yeah, it's treading her now, it's trending reasons, but it's trending.
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, is it a good song?
- 1:58:44Speaker 7: It's more like oh wait, man, it's more like of
- 1:58:46Speaker 7: a two thousand and three, two thousand, Well.
- 1:58:48Speaker 2: It sounds like it's twenty years old. Oh, but he's
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: can we play some of it?
- 1:58:54Speaker 7: But it sounds just a little bit, I mean, but
- 1:58:57Speaker 7: it sounds real. You know, it's a party, so he's
- 1:59:01Speaker 7: playing the parties.
- 1:59:08Speaker 19: And I heard that you want.
- 1:59:12Speaker 2: Big times like.
- 1:59:15Speaker 8: An old man like New Orleans and.
- 1:59:21Speaker 2: Nellie Yeah little mix. Okay, maybe that sounds coming back.
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: That's what they're saying. Okay.
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: And as I remember on the Sports Shop Show, I
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: never discredit people because the sport. That does not necessarily
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: mean that was always their number one passion. And sometimes
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: people go do things that we try to dismiss because
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: they're known for something else, but that doesn't mean that
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: that wasn't their passion. And you know, athletes before they
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: were great, like a Damon Lillard writing lyrics, I like,
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: before they even discovered they were great at basketball, prob.
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: Saints right became all player. I wanted to be a
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: leader and we all you know, the truth is he
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:15Speaker 25: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge
- 2:00:18Speaker 25: Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: When Your designs an Ocean gives a Sportshow guts a
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: minute to Vin.
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: We'd like to thank you for tuning in to today's show.
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: Remember you can go to Amazon, Apple, Audible, Deez are iHeartRadio,
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: Spotify and catch the replay of the show. Come on you,
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: Greg Big Kenny Bad producer, Thank you for your contributions
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: to today's show. Big Weekend College football playoffs Notre Dame
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: Penn State tonight, Texas Ohio State tomorrow night and then Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: NFL Super wild Card weekend. Going in the ocean today
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: because I'm scared. I don't know if I have been
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: here before. And reincarnation is real. But robotic emotional support animals?
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: What y'all building fake puppets for emotional support? And the
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: scary part is you putting them in these senior homes,
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: making these old people think that they patting real animals.
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: What in the heck it's going on?
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: Am I dreaming? Is this really total recall? And y'all
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: have just put me in a dream. But tomboy has
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: entered what they call the robotic emotional support animals or
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: people facing health adversity. We can't get no real dogs,
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: and some cold dogs out here this morning that would
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: love someone to pet on them. But they have literally
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: taken these robotic emotional support animals, which I always felt
- 2:02:19Speaker 1: like emotional support means you probably don't have a lot
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: of friends. Get your friends up. But faking these seniors
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: out that they're petting real animals because you're thinking they
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: don't know, but they think those pets are real. It's
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: very scary. So whoever came up with this grand idea
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: probably some of Comanche friends in his industry. I don't
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: know anybody robotics, but in the ocean comment, I tell
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: you from the Sports Stop show, as we always say
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: on Thursday, right, hey, if we have a great football
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: weekend and we'll see you in the future, peace.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: Fifteen hundred dollars. How much is that dog in the
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: windows
