- 9:06Speaker 9: This doom, doom, doom is so short.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I won't let you go. Our names in stone.
- 9:12Speaker 9: Even when we are gone, one day we'll know. Someday

- 9:29Speaker 9: make my heart get 180 Won't you come down and
- 9:35Speaker 9: save me One million stars have been raining Just to

- 9:52Speaker 2: Ria Ragu, the song is called Finally.
- 9:59Speaker 4: This next one we've got for you is by Diljit Dosanjh.
- 10:08Speaker 4: His lead single from his brand new EP called I'm
- 10:12Speaker 4: an Artist Bro. And that's an EP that we've been
- 10:15Speaker 4: celebrating here on the bridge.
- 10:28Speaker 10: Yeah foreign Thank you for watching. Your poetry will be
- 11:21Speaker 10: stolen from your trance.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It will be stolen.
- 11:23Speaker 10: From the people of the real world.
- 11:25Speaker 2: No one is afraid of you here.
- 11:27Speaker 10: Only the thugs of the foreigners will go to you.
- 11:30Speaker 10: You will never be.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Able to eat the balls of your heart.
- 11:39Speaker 10: Thank you for watching. Beat single called Devil.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Even though this isn't my favorite song from the EP,
- 12:32Speaker 4: my favorite was probably Valia. And that's a song that
- 12:35Speaker 4: he did with Tiara Jatt. This one, equally awesome song,
- 12:39Speaker 4: just not quite my favorite, but it's produced by DJ Intense,
- 12:44Speaker 4: one of our buddies of Ruckus Avenue Radio. And now, folks,
- 12:47Speaker 4: let's bring in Dr. Roy to the program. What's up, Dr.
- 12:49Speaker 13: Roy?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Hey, guys.
- 12:51Speaker 13: This is Dr.
- 12:51Speaker 14: Roy with today's Word on the Avenue. In film and
- 12:54Speaker 14: TV news, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan closed the L'Oreal Paris Fashion
- 12:58Speaker 14: Week in a dramatic all-black Yara Shoemaker couture gown, crystal
- 13:03Speaker 14: studded cape and diamond encrusted headpiece.
- 13:06Speaker 13: But it was her strikingly new.
- 13:08Speaker 14: Burgundy red hair that became the biggest talking point. Walking
- 13:11Speaker 14: against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, the global Indian
- 13:15Speaker 14: icon brought a real regal modern edge to the runway.
- 13:19Speaker 14: joining stars including Celine Dion, Kendall Jenner, Viola Davis, and
- 13:23Speaker 14: Simone Ashley. In media news, an Australian travel creator, Liam Richards,
- 13:29Speaker 14: had sparked online debate after visiting Karnataka's Hoysala Temples and
- 13:35Speaker 14: pointing to a centuries-old carving that he believes resembles a telescope.
- 13:39Speaker 14: While the interpretation of the sculpture remains disputed, the Hoysala
- 13:43Speaker 14: Temples are unquestionably celebrated for their extraordinary stone craftsmanship, intricate detail,
- 13:49Speaker 14: and thousands of carvings, making this another fascinating glimpse into
- 13:53Speaker 14: India's architectural heritage. In event news, Anthropic, the company behind Claude,
- 13:59Speaker 14: has turned to an unexpected source in its effort to
- 14:02Speaker 14: explore AI ethics by inviting Hindu monk Swami Sarvapriyananda to
- 14:08Speaker 14: its San Francisco headquarters to discuss morality, consciousness, and whether
- 14:12Speaker 14: an AI could ever develop a sense of self.
- 14:16Speaker 13: That's it for today's Word on the Avenue.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Until next time.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Thank you, Dr.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Roy.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Always the awesome Dr. Roy with the Word on the Avenue.
- 14:24Speaker 4: This song right here is called Pablo. Ania Amir.
- 14:28Speaker 2: They say it's the.
- 14:29Speaker 15: Duty of such beautiful women to ask me, where do
- 14:32Speaker 15: you get the drugs?
- 14:33Speaker 2: They say, man, you keep them in big bags. We
- 14:36Speaker 2: laugh and you follow us. We shout and we get
- 14:38Speaker 2: drunk every day. How many times have we stayed in
- 14:40Speaker 2: the house? When the drugs are left, they.
- 14:43Speaker 16: Are very deep.
- 14:47Speaker 2: What should I do?
- 15:00Speaker 14: I don't know what to do without you.
- 15:04Speaker 9: Why is the environment so scary?
- 15:07Speaker 15: The whole of India is looking at you. Glory to me.
- 15:12Speaker 15: I keep my friends and my friends alone. I don't
- 15:15Speaker 15: know what to do. I don't know what to do.
- 15:17Speaker 15: I don't know what to do. I don't know what
- 15:19Speaker 15: to do.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I don't know what to do. I'm sick of you,
- 15:30Speaker 2: oh crotch, oh crotch It's such a beautiful thing to
- 15:32Speaker 2: say to a girl Ask me where did you get
- 15:34Speaker 2: the drugs from?
- 15:35Speaker 15: They say, man, you've kept them for a long time
- 15:38Speaker 15: We laugh, and you.
- 15:39Speaker 17: Follow us, and we follow you We go out and
- 15:42Speaker 17: get drunk every day How many times have we stayed
- 15:45Speaker 17: in the same room? Half of Rashid and the rest
- 15:48Speaker 17: of the kids are very deep God bless you, and
- 15:50Speaker 17: may God keep you.
- 15:51Speaker 15: Safe and sound Hania.
- 15:54Speaker 18: My love Don't worry about anything I understand, don't worry
- 15:58Speaker 18: about anything I'm.
- 16:00Speaker 19: Really curious to see if Hania carries on this streak
- 16:03Speaker 19: into music here.
- 16:04Speaker 2: This has got to be pretty encouraging. I mean, she's
- 16:08Speaker 2: made it to the top five.
- 16:10Speaker 13: On the bridge.
- 16:26Speaker 4: And currently last weekend was on number two. And now
- 16:30Speaker 4: let's bring in Ashi Aurora to the show as she
- 16:33Speaker 4: prepares us for what's going to happen on Monday between
- 16:37Speaker 4: 4 and 5 p.m. right here on Pacific Standard Time.

- 17:18Speaker 4: of these different luminaries of their space. So make sure
- 17:22Speaker 4: you guys tune in on Monday at 4 p.m.
- 17:43Speaker 22: Ouchie ouchie, pouchie pouchie, mic on the car lease, but

- 18:59Speaker 9: You are the king of the country.
- 19:15Speaker 22: Has a signature kind of whispery catchy kind of phrase
- 19:19Speaker 22: oriented delivery but i really love this kind of usage
- 19:22Speaker 22: of folk vocals in hip-hop there's something.
- 19:24Speaker 4: There This song is by Kata.

- 21:50Speaker 4: an artist that has excited us here when it comes
- 21:53Speaker 4: to this very intriguing Hindi pop space. The song is
- 21:57Speaker 4: called Sunozara, Avi Balagan.

- 26:35Speaker 2: to you, Yo, what's up?
- 26:41Speaker 10: Tell them in your phone, man.
- 27:08Speaker 4: The latest from Wazir Pater, everybody. I've always talked very
- 27:16Speaker 4: highly of Wazir Pater, not only because of his great
- 27:19Speaker 4: emceeing skills and everything that he does from a lyrical perspective,
- 27:23Speaker 4: but he's also producing everything that he's singing on top of,
- 27:27Speaker 4: which is just awesome. And he's really hung on to
- 27:30Speaker 4: that West Coast kind of vibe and has a distinct
- 27:33Speaker 4: sound design. I love it. Just like Kurt and Blue here.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Just like Kurt and Blue here.

- 31:21Speaker 4: the song called Mendy looking forward to talking to
- 31:44Speaker 4: Sabine Fahim Sabine is I think about 13 episodes deep
- 31:51Speaker 4: and if you go check out her social media account
- 31:54Speaker 4: for the show who does she think she is You'll see,
- 31:58Speaker 4: and it'll look like she's been on there forever because
- 32:01Speaker 4: just the amount of action and traction she's gotten in
- 32:05Speaker 4: these first 13 episodes or so has just been pretty impressive.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Make sure you give her a follow and make sure
- 32:13Speaker 4: you hang out. She's going to be joining me very
- 32:15Speaker 4: shortly here. We'll ask her what it's like so far.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Looking forward to it. Here's Anirudh Ravichandran.
- 32:22Speaker 25: Just one more look and I'll lose my soul. You're
- 32:28Speaker 25: my hangover. You're my hangover.
- 32:51Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Hang around La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
- 34:11Speaker 25: Hands warm and backseat heat Every little move got me
- 34:16Speaker 25: f * * * ing off beat You're my hangover
- 34:20Speaker 25: You're my hangover You got that red lip Whisper with
- 34:26Speaker 25: that midnight flame What a baby and I.
- 34:29Speaker 26: Ain't the same You're my hangover You're my hangover.
- 34:41Speaker 2: I love you.
- 35:09Speaker 26: You know, it's very difficult to get the sentiments right.
- 35:39Speaker 4: There's some artists that do it really well, fluidly. And
- 35:42Speaker 4: not just in like these one-off kind of moments. You know,
- 35:46Speaker 4: people like Bria Raghu, who I was just complimenting earlier.
- 35:49Speaker 4: But this song right here by Anirudh Ravi Chandrakal, Hangover,
- 35:53Speaker 4: was done so well in that regard. Really well done.
- 35:59Speaker 4: The next song we've got for you is an artist
- 36:01Speaker 4: that I think is... done a fabulous job of capturing
- 36:07Speaker 4: the traditional elements in his modern delivery. Raph Zepera, the
- 36:11Speaker 4: song is called Band of Kali.
- 36:12Speaker 13: Band of Kali.
- 36:14Speaker 23: I have never thought of doing business.
- 36:17Speaker 2: How do I think about your love?
- 36:19Speaker 23: Love stops your life and my sorrow stops the one
- 36:23Speaker 23: who stares at you. Let me be the father of
- 36:26Speaker 23: your village. Don't do anything to me. Let me be
- 36:30Speaker 23: the father of your village. Don't do anything to me.
- 36:33Speaker 23: Don't do anything to me. Don't do anything to me.
- 36:39Speaker 23: Pyaar ne karauna pend khali kudiye ni tere pyaar ne
- 37:01Speaker 23: You know I feel like going on a trip. Your
- 37:03Speaker 23: mother seems to be on her way. When I look
- 37:06Speaker 23: at your friend's face, I don't want to see whose
- 37:10Speaker 23: uncle he is. You know I feel like going on
- 37:13Speaker 23: a trip. Your mother seems to be on her way.
- 37:17Speaker 23: I will dance in this place with your friend.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Then you will see that your friend will come to
- 37:24Speaker 2: your house.
- 37:25Speaker 23: Today you have fulfilled my wish.
- 37:28Speaker 2: I will show you my doll.
- 37:30Speaker 23: I am the girl of your love.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I am the girl of your love. I am the
- 37:37Speaker 2: girl of your love. I am the.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Girl of your love.
- 38:11Speaker 23: The guy doesn't look at the girls, he looks at
- 38:12Speaker 23: them too. He doesn't look at the girls, he looks
- 38:14Speaker 23: at them too. He doesn't look at the.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:16Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:18Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:19Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:21Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:23Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:24Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:26Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:28Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:29Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:30Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:32Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:34Speaker 23: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:35Speaker 2: He doesn't look at the girls, he looks at them too.
- 38:38Speaker 23: And ladies and gentlemen, let's invite into the show the
- 38:42Speaker 23: great Sabine Fahim.
- 38:43Speaker 2: How are you, Sabine? Hi, Sammy. I'm doing very well.
- 39:07Speaker 20: Thank you so much for that very generous introduction.
- 39:10Speaker 4: How are you guys doing? We're doing great, you know,
- 39:14Speaker 4: following things along on who does she think she is. And,
- 39:19Speaker 4: you know, we've had a pretty interesting last couple of
- 39:21Speaker 4: weeks when it comes to, you know, dance shows on
- 39:24Speaker 4: Netflix and everything going on and around that whole Hasan
- 39:28Speaker 4: Minhaj best of best. film that came out. And of course,
- 39:32Speaker 4: as you know, Sabine, we did the accompanying documentary there
- 39:36Speaker 4: that was also narrated by Hasan called Bollywood Dance U.
- 39:39Speaker 4: And so, you know, we got a bunch of dance
- 39:41Speaker 4: stuff going on all over the place. But I am
- 39:44Speaker 4: really excited about your conversation with Lina Khan this week.
- 39:48Speaker 20: Thank you. Yeah, I'm so excited for everyone to hear
- 39:50Speaker 20: what we talked about. I mean, we went all the
- 39:52Speaker 20: way back to her first project, and then we talked
- 39:55Speaker 20: about what's coming next for her. I think the most
- 39:58Speaker 20: exciting thing for me to talk about was her whole
- 40:01Speaker 20: concept with Never Have I Ever and working with Mindy
- 40:04Speaker 20: Kaling and Borna and May 3, and then working with
- 40:07Speaker 20: May 3 again in Best of the Best. I just
- 40:09Speaker 20: love how it's a girls' girl group, and we're women
- 40:13Speaker 20: supporting women, and we talk about that. And then we
- 40:16Speaker 20: also talked about A.R. Rahman and how she spoke and
- 40:18Speaker 20: worked with him and stayed at his house. And it
- 40:21Speaker 20: was just really, really cool. Just a lot of really
- 40:23Speaker 20: cool things that we got.
- 40:24Speaker 4: To talk about. What a treat, hanging out at A.R.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Rahman's house, you know, as the director of Best of Best,
- 40:30Speaker 4: of course. The show featured a song from A.R. Rahman
- 40:35Speaker 4: in it. What an awesome moment that must have been
- 40:37Speaker 4: for her, you know. She worked on Never Have I Ever,
- 40:40Speaker 4: and now here she is, you know, doing stuff with A.R.
- 40:42Speaker 4: Rahman with Hasan Minhaj and so many other great people
- 40:44Speaker 4: on that film. What a world win, I would say,
- 40:50Speaker 4: last five years of her career. And when you see
- 40:53Speaker 4: this amazing arc, of course, going into Never Have I
- 40:57Speaker 4: Ever and now into this show, you get the feeling
- 41:00Speaker 4: that she's probably got a lot more in the tank
- 41:02Speaker 4: here going forward. Did she share any of these projects
- 41:05Speaker 4: that she's working on?
- 41:07Speaker 13: She did.
- 41:08Speaker 20: She did share something that she's cooking up. She shared
- 41:11Speaker 20: a little bit about it, you know, the genre it's
- 41:13Speaker 20: going to be and how deep it's going to go.
- 41:16Speaker 20: And I'm really excited for it because I think it's
- 41:18Speaker 20: something that we really do need for our community in Hollywood.
- 41:23Speaker 20: We get a lot of it. Otherwise, you know, I
- 41:25Speaker 20: need some things like that. But I think I can't
- 41:27Speaker 20: wait for it to finally be made by Americans about
- 41:30Speaker 20: American deities.
- 41:32Speaker 4: So I'm really.
- 41:33Speaker 20: Excited to see what she's going to do with it.
- 41:34Speaker 20: But you guys got to go listen to the show
- 41:36Speaker 20: to find out what it's about. It's really exciting to
- 41:39Speaker 20: hear what's cooking for her. Yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Did you get a chance to see Best of Best yet?
- 41:45Speaker 13: Of course.
- 41:45Speaker 20: I saw it a few times already.
- 41:47Speaker 4: What are your thoughts on it? give us your review
- 41:50Speaker 4: i love it i love.
- 41:51Speaker 20: It my my review is if you like a fun
- 41:56Speaker 20: coming of age best friend comedy with a little bit
- 42:00Speaker 20: of romance a little bit of intensity with competition if
- 42:03Speaker 20: you like to pitch perfect step up bring it on
- 42:06Speaker 20: which are classics you're gonna love best of the best
- 42:09Speaker 20: that's Because not only are you going to get the
- 42:11Speaker 20: flavors of all of those movies, you're going to learn
- 42:14Speaker 20: about a different culture and you're going to learn about
- 42:17Speaker 20: a whole different society in collegiate competitive Bollywood dancing. And
- 42:21Speaker 20: I think that's so fun when you get to kind
- 42:23Speaker 20: of be thrusted into this new world that A lot
- 42:27Speaker 20: of people just don't know about. So I'm excited. It
- 42:30Speaker 20: was really good. And I really hope that it just
- 42:32Speaker 20: continues to get more and more accolades and get more
- 42:35Speaker 20: and more popular. And yes, everyone can watch it. You
- 42:39Speaker 20: don't have to be South Asian to enjoy it.
- 42:41Speaker 4: I think so, too. Just like with any of those
- 42:43Speaker 4: other dance movies that you mentioned, you know, Bring It
- 42:46Speaker 4: On or any of those big. you know, dance franchises.
- 42:49Speaker 4: I hope this becomes that for sure. But, you know,
- 42:52Speaker 4: the dance element, especially the collegiate thing, for all of
- 42:56Speaker 4: us South Asians growing up here in North America, I
- 42:58Speaker 4: think it's sometimes very hard to communicate how much of
- 43:01Speaker 4: an important part of our collegiate experience the dance element is.
- 43:05Speaker 4: You know, put that into perspective for the folks that
- 43:07Speaker 4: don't really know about this, Sabine.
- 43:10Speaker 20: Yeah, I mean, I think it's more than just dance.
- 43:14Speaker 20: It's basically taking back your culture when finally you're at
- 43:18Speaker 20: an age to understand the importance of it. And also
- 43:21Speaker 20: developing a community with other members in your culture and
- 43:26Speaker 20: expanding that. I think South Asia is such a huge diaspora.
- 43:31Speaker 20: There's so many different languages and so many different cultures.
- 43:34Speaker 20: culture is essentially in faith. And this is a place
- 43:37Speaker 20: where we all just get together and there's no differences
- 43:39Speaker 20: because we love Bollywood dance. We love Bollywood music. And
- 43:43Speaker 20: I think it just transcends that simple friendship or that
- 43:46Speaker 20: simple like competitiveness. It literally creates a community that stays
- 43:50Speaker 20: with you forever. As Hasan Minhaj, his character mentioned in
- 43:53Speaker 20: the movie, these people came.
- 43:54Speaker 4: To his wedding.
- 43:55Speaker 20: So it's something that you take with you into the future.
- 43:58Speaker 20: And it's, it's incredible. And it's, it's, It's intense. I mean,
- 44:03Speaker 20: it goes beyond even, you know, Indian and Bollywood because
- 44:06Speaker 20: there's so much now R & B and hip hop
- 44:08Speaker 20: and pop and so many other flavors that are getting
- 44:11Speaker 20: intertwined in it, especially in American pop culture. So, yeah, guys, listen,
- 44:15Speaker 20: and the fact that you don't even have to be
- 44:17Speaker 20: South Asian to be in it because, listen, there's always
- 44:20Speaker 20: a Harry. There's always one white guy in the.
- 44:23Speaker 4: Group who can't leave. Shout out to Harry for sure.
- 44:27Speaker 20: Literally, all the Harrys out there, if you're a non-South
- 44:30Speaker 20: Asian person and you want to be in a Bollywood
- 44:32Speaker 20: dance team, you can do it.
- 44:34Speaker 4: It's possible. Yes, there's always one, Sabine. There's always one
- 44:39Speaker 4: from some other culture in there. Usually it's either somebody
- 44:42Speaker 4: in the Asian kind of background or I've even seen
- 44:44Speaker 4: some Mexican people performing in a punk rock group before.
- 44:47Speaker 2: It's awesome.
- 44:48Speaker 13: Yes, because it's dance.
- 44:50Speaker 20: It's dance and music. There's no barrier culture or language.
- 44:53Speaker 20: It's literally anyone can do it.
- 44:57Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Good hanging out with you, Sabine. And for everybody tuning in,
- 45:00Speaker 4: make sure you pick up The Signal this Thursday, 5 p.m. Sabine,
- 45:03Speaker 4: we can't wait to hang out with you. Thanks for
- 45:05Speaker 4: sharing this preview with us with Lina.
- 45:08Speaker 20: Thank you so much.
- 45:10Speaker 16: I can't wait.
- 45:10Speaker 4: All right, folks. Sabine Fahim, here's the next track for
- 45:13Speaker 4: you guys.
- 45:15Speaker 27: Ve sajna Kaatu kaise ye ratiya Oh my love, don't
- 45:31Speaker 27: let the nights pass by.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I search for your traces.
- 45:36Speaker 8: You steal.
- 45:39Speaker 2: My eyes. How do I cut these nights?
- 45:57Speaker 27: Be sajna, bitena betae.
- 46:34Speaker 28: Two eyes met, there was no use Two eyes met,
- 46:41Speaker 28: they stopped and became.
- 46:47Speaker 27: One eye met my path Two moments of life were
- 46:53Speaker 27: left Oh my love, how do I spend this night?
- 47:11Speaker 2: Oh my love, how do.
- 47:14Speaker 18: I spend this night? How can I be quiet?
- 47:38Speaker 3: I haven't seen anyone like you How can I say?
- 47:45Speaker 2: I won't say anything.

- 50:23Speaker 4: But I'll tell you something, you know, and I've also
- 50:26Speaker 4: kind of analogized how he has started to join that
