Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama, darling. Drama, darling. Drama, darling.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Greetings, everyone. We are about to drop the diss track
- 0:24Speaker 2: of a lifetime Deanna Chang and I on how badly
- 0:30Speaker 2: good this episode was of Salt Lake City. Deanna Sheng,
- 0:33Speaker 2: welcome in.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Thank you. I mean, it was a bit of a
- 0:37Speaker 3: fever dream at the end there.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I didn't know what was happening.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I was like, did I have a gummy? I don't
- 0:43Speaker 2: think I did, but this is amazing. I was laughing.
- 0:48Speaker 2: So I was laughing out loud. I chuckled out loud.
- 0:52Speaker 2: That is very rare. The way that these editors and, oh,
- 0:56Speaker 2: I mean the camera crew, they outdid themselves with the
- 0:59Speaker 2: panning up and down of these gold jumpsuit outfits of
- 1:03Speaker 2: Lisa and Meredith during their diss track. And the edits,
- 1:10Speaker 2: the clean edits, Bronwyn being so devastated over literally like nothing,
- 1:19Speaker 2: but also it was pretty rude. I can't wait to
- 1:21Speaker 2: get into this. It's so great. Deanna?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't not rude, but her reaction... It was
- 1:28Speaker 3: too much. Listen, this episode, I had a lot of
- 1:32Speaker 3: cues around Bronwyn. I was like.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Oh, cues. A lot of them.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I'm like, I think you're strange.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I'm tired. It's just like, when you get... Ingredients together.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Ingrediences, yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 2: When you get those ingredients and you put them in
- 1:56Speaker 2: that pot and then they make a gorgeous, a gorgeous meal.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like a sweet, spicy.
- 2:02Speaker 3: How would Teresa kind of say that? I'm just curious.
- 2:07Speaker 5: I look around and I see this person's coming and
- 2:11Speaker 5: this person's card man and this person's tarragon man. It's
- 2:18Speaker 5: like you get all these spices, you put them in
- 2:20Speaker 5: a pot, and then they're making a good dish.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? It is just chef's kiss.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I do. Wow. It was so many things. First of all,
- 2:34Speaker 3: I do want to just say, like, Salt Lake City maintains.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It stays in high school. It has always been in
- 2:41Speaker 3: high school.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Oh, great point. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Beyond any other franchise, I am so aware of, like,
- 2:50Speaker 3: the high school hierarchy of this show.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:54Speaker 2: You know, it is such a great framing of the, like,
- 2:58Speaker 2: the mental state over there. Yes.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:02Speaker 2: You know, yeah, absolutely.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Jeez.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Phenomenal. And they really keep giving. This Meredith and Lisa
- 3:12Speaker 2: duo is at its climax right now. We're seeing something.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Right.
- 3:16Speaker 2: That's firing on all cylinders. They are connecting and they're
- 3:21Speaker 2: vibing with the producers and the editors to make art
- 3:24Speaker 2: and beauty and humor and life and levity. So this
- 3:30Speaker 2: is their moment. And you know, did they take over
- 3:33Speaker 2: the party? Absolutely. Was that the right time and the
- 3:37Speaker 2: right place? No, and it shouldn't be, right? It should
- 3:43Speaker 2: never be the right time.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Look, it's never been the right time and place. So
- 3:48Speaker 3: it's not going to start last night. That's certainly not
- 3:53Speaker 3: when we're going to have the right time and place.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Because you are hard-pressed to find a time and place
- 3:59Speaker 3: that are right on these shows. It's very rare. I
- 4:02Speaker 3: don't know the last time I've seen it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I mean, I know we're going to
- 4:07Speaker 2: go through the whole episode, but it's just too rich
- 4:10Speaker 2: to not jump into this performance that we got our
- 4:12Speaker 2: eyes on. The glam kittens... And that they, because, so
- 4:19Speaker 2: they obviously throughout this trip, once they were called out
- 4:23Speaker 2: at some point by, I guess, Bronwyn about scheming or Brittany,
- 4:29Speaker 2: you know, Lisa had it in her head that it
- 4:32Speaker 2: was Bronwyn that said it first. But we really saw
- 4:35Speaker 2: Brittany say it first because I didn't get my eyes
- 4:38Speaker 2: on Bronwyn saying that they were scheming. Did you? Because
- 4:42Speaker 2: I only saw Brittany on the Sprinter van say it.
- 4:45Speaker 3: That's all we got to see. But then I'm like,
- 4:47Speaker 3: maybe there was a time that wasn't caught on film
- 4:50Speaker 3: that we missed.
- 4:51Speaker 2: That's what I'm gathering.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Because Lisa seems so sure.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 3: That I was like, oh, maybe we didn't catch it.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I believe her on this, you know? Like, I have
- 5:02Speaker 2: to believe her. I mean, because, yeah, she seemed to
- 5:06Speaker 2: have it clocked pretty good. And I also can see
- 5:08Speaker 2: Brittany just echoing the sentiment.
- 5:10Speaker 5: I know.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You know, she's, ooh, does she bug? But, you know,
- 5:16Speaker 3: what are we going to do? It's just, she is
- 5:18Speaker 3: just such a little.
- 5:21Speaker 2: She bugs and then you do feel bad for her,
- 5:24Speaker 2: like that little freshman, you know, when she gets, she
- 5:27Speaker 2: didn't ask to be roasted after this diss track by Bronwyn.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Bronwyn got up there.
- 5:31Speaker 3: That was a. Wow. That was a blind side, as
- 5:35Speaker 3: they have in, like, Survivor. You know, that was a
- 5:37Speaker 3: true blind side.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It was.
- 5:39Speaker 2: It was a Survivor blind side. She caught a stray
- 5:42Speaker 2: on that bad.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Yeah, bad. She was like... She's like... It was like
- 5:47Speaker 3: a cartoon, like.
- 5:50Speaker 2: She tried to take it in stride because she very
- 5:54Speaker 2: much had Bronwyn's back. So it was like... But I
- 5:57Speaker 2: thought that we... But when I was... Oh.
- 6:02Speaker 3: And Bronwyn was like.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Like, okay. I don't... Bronwyn was trying to make up for.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Everything was like so crazy.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Bronwyn was trying... I.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Don't know what she... Trying to get the last word.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Yeah. She had to release something onto someone and that
- 6:20Speaker 3: little chickadee was just ripe for the.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Little sister, you know?
- 6:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Little sister. That's what it is. She got... she was
- 6:30Speaker 2: she had to be kind of a little bit of
- 6:32Speaker 2: a lamb in that situation right for bronwyn and she's
- 6:36Speaker 2: like oh just kidding and then i don't know but
- 6:44Speaker 2: then also after bronwyn does that speech and she gets
- 6:47Speaker 2: down and like everyone's kind of recollecting themselves at the
- 6:50Speaker 2: party to hear a One more time from the back.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I have in all caps an encore. What is happening?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Like it just.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And right above that, it's Britney taking an L.
- 7:06Speaker 6: It's just there.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It was giving like it was giving Kenya more hair
- 7:15Speaker 2: care marching band with this one more time. That's– and
- 7:21Speaker 2: the whole performance in itself, actually. It really was. It
- 7:25Speaker 2: was beautiful.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And it did seem– now, I don't know who those
- 7:28Speaker 3: people were. They did seem part of the party.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Well, you mean the people who were, like, joining in
- 7:33Speaker 2: the song?
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Oh.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Right.
- 7:39Speaker 2: They were joining– they were– I'll tell you who they were.
- 7:41Speaker 2: They were Housewives fans.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Even if they were Bronwyn's friends, they were diehard Housewives fans,
- 7:47Speaker 2: and they were ready to party.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Housewives fans first and Bronwyn friends second. And that's just
- 7:55Speaker 3: the way the cookie crumbled.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I don't think they even knew.
- 7:59Speaker 3: It was bad.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 2: They didn't know it was bad. Right? Yeah. I think
- 8:04Speaker 2: we've all been there when we're younger, like in high school,
- 8:07Speaker 2: for example, and you're chanting along to something, but you
- 8:09Speaker 2: don't know what it actually means. You find out later.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It's actually incredibly disrespectful to A culture or– I'm kidding. No,
- 8:19Speaker 2: but you don't– I mean, honestly, like you just don't know.
- 8:22Speaker 3: There is an elementary school chant that is coming up
- 8:25Speaker 3: for me right now where we in fourth grade would
- 8:30Speaker 3: march around. One of the girls had scoliosis, okay?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:35Speaker 3: We would march around and go, she's got scoliosis.
- 8:39Speaker 6: What the heck is scoliosis?
- 8:41Speaker 3: She's got scoliosis.
- 8:43Speaker 6: What the heck is– it's.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I'm crying right now.
- 8:51Speaker 2: This is exactly what i'm talking about yeah and you
- 8:54Speaker 2: didn't know no.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Right what the heck is scoliosis was my you know
- 8:59Speaker 3: we all didn't know at that time you're just trying
- 9:02Speaker 3: to wrap your little heads around it yeah oh yeah
- 9:07Speaker 3: conga line.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I wish i could think of one i know there
- 9:10Speaker 2: have been many i just probably blocked it out but
- 9:14Speaker 2: um But that's the thing. It's like, you know, you're
- 9:16Speaker 2: just you're vibing with the energy more than the actual
- 9:21Speaker 2: statement itself. And so, you know, they're thinking, oh, everyone's
- 9:25Speaker 2: behind this. This is the new drop that Meredith is bringing.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:30Speaker 2: But like the words hypocrisy and bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
- 9:35Speaker 2: And then I'm born. And then ending with an impromptu. Manipulation.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Manipulation. Oh, my God. Now, this is the thing that
- 9:52Speaker 3: I have to just go, okay, you know, I'm not
- 9:56Speaker 3: afraid to sit down and take pen to paper and
- 9:58Speaker 3: write a rap song. I did one for Steve Jobs.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I did one for Colty and 90 Day Fiance. These
- 10:03Speaker 3: are just things that have happened in my life where
- 10:05Speaker 3: I've taken to the pen to the paper and.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Gotten down to it. Oh, drop those hits, honey. And
- 10:11Speaker 2: I will.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And I will. And they are thought through.
- 10:15Speaker 2: They are melodic. Well, God, yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 4: They are good.
- 10:18Speaker 2: You're coming from the montage queen herself. She's going to
- 10:21Speaker 2: assemble something fierce.
- 10:23Speaker 6: She's going to assemble.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Something, okay? The fact that they got on this national
- 10:28Speaker 3: television platform and put together four words and called it
- 10:33Speaker 3: a song.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Four words.
- 10:35Speaker 3: In some ways, I have to tip the hat. It's like,
- 10:38Speaker 3: you know?
- 10:38Speaker 2: When you got something, you got something. Sometimes, the more
- 10:42Speaker 2: simple it is, the catchier it is. I mean, look
- 10:45Speaker 2: how those people jumped onto it. hypocrisy and bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I mean, I am singing it right now in the shower.
- 10:55Speaker 2: And I think Lisa, you know, Lisa Barlow has said
- 10:58Speaker 2: many a times. And in fact, on this episode, how she's,
- 11:02Speaker 2: she's been a rapper. No one can do salt and
- 11:05Speaker 2: pepper like her.
- 11:06Speaker 1: No one.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And well, as I said before, I believe her. I
- 11:11Speaker 2: don't believe her on that, but like, I'm also got a,
- 11:15Speaker 2: I respect the fact that at the very end, the
- 11:17Speaker 2: Glam Kittens, along with their brand, Lisa pulled out a
- 11:21Speaker 2: lip liner, I don't know from where, and lip lined
- 11:24Speaker 2: her lips at the very end of the song, which
- 11:26Speaker 2: I thought was beautiful. And then Meredith heading into the
- 11:30Speaker 2: crowd saying, who wants a bump?
- 11:32Speaker 3: Wow. You can't, listen, the Glam Kittens was, that was
- 11:37Speaker 3: a great title.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It was great. Like this is what you get when
- 11:41Speaker 2: you have two people getting along and just goofing about. Right.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Because like you're getting stupid, goofy things that you're laughing about.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And that is the key to success. Do what you
- 11:54Speaker 2: think is funny. Do what you think is good. Because
- 11:59Speaker 2: if you're enjoying it and you believe in it, it
- 12:03Speaker 2: doesn't matter what it is that you're doing as long
- 12:06Speaker 2: as you're doing what you're doing. people will follow.
- 12:13Speaker 3: These are life lessons. And also, you know, we have
- 12:18Speaker 3: to remember that we are factoring in, as we are
- 12:22Speaker 3: taking in these moments, we are factoring in what Lisa
- 12:26Speaker 3: went through on Ultimate Girls Trip.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Yes.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I kept thinking about that too, Deanna. Extremely important to
- 12:34Speaker 2: cross-reference the other materials.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's right. Without it, I would have a different feeling
- 12:42Speaker 3: about this moment. But I do think these girls have
- 12:47Speaker 3: been rotted to her. And on this program, they seem
- 12:51Speaker 3: more in the right.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, they do.
- 12:54Speaker 3: But on our other program, they were absolutely relentless and terrible.
- 13:02Speaker 3: And I'm also enjoying Lisa specifically. The way she is leaving...
- 13:08Speaker 3: And entering.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Entrances and exits, you know? She's selling. And she's free.
- 13:17Speaker 2: And that's what we like to see. On Ultimate Girls Trip,
- 13:19Speaker 2: she was an imprisoned housewife struggling to have a good time.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Whereas here, there's no struggle at all. She's unabashedly, unequivocally,
- 13:30Speaker 2: undeniably having the best time of her life. Because she
- 13:33Speaker 2: has an ally in Meredith Marks. And that's the difference.
- 13:37Speaker 2: As long as you have the backup and you have
- 13:41Speaker 2: someone you can do this with, you can do anything. Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 3: And listen, on Ultimate Girls Trip, she was having a
- 13:50Speaker 3: blast until these ne'er-do-wells were flanking her and showing up
- 13:58Speaker 3: literally every city. There they go.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Oh, my God. You know? They were heavy bookends following
- 14:04Speaker 2: her around, smashing her.
- 14:06Speaker 3: It was psychotic. They were everywhere. They were in Beverly Hills.
- 14:12Speaker 3: They were in Atlanta.
- 14:15Speaker 2: They were probably outside of The Quiet Woman, for God's sakes.
- 14:17Speaker 2: They probably were even there before they even got... They
- 14:20Speaker 2: probably were. Who knows? Bluestone Manor. We had this whole season,
- 14:25Speaker 2: and then it ending up with Andy in the middle
- 14:27Speaker 2: of them.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 14:29Speaker 2: It is crazy.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I do think she learned from Ultimate Girls Trip that, like,
- 14:37Speaker 3: because she's been in this Mormon bubble, and she broke out.
- 14:42Speaker 3: She made new friends. They love her. They had her back.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Teresa had her back. They all had her back.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Are you okay?
- 14:50Speaker 1: Hi.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I'm just coming over here to make sure you're okay. But,
- 14:56Speaker 2: you know, Teresa was.
- 14:59Speaker 3: There's also a clip that I didn't see in real time,
- 15:02Speaker 3: which I've seen online, which is like the best. If
- 15:04Speaker 3: you haven't seen it, please find it. Where when they're
- 15:07Speaker 3: outside for the fireworks and the snow, someone threw a
- 15:11Speaker 3: little snowball and you have Teresa joyfully pelting Heather with snowballs.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know she threw it. I remember her
- 15:23Speaker 2: with the snow.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Heather.
- 15:25Speaker 2: She's getting Heather. Oh my, that's hysterical.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And with glee. It's amazing.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That's incredible. That's freedom. You know, that is a friend. So,
- 15:35Speaker 2: Lisa's taking that. You can leave the snow outside. Don't
- 15:37Speaker 2: bring it outside. Leave your fumes and your snowballs outside.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Don't bring it in. Okay? Because the ice, it melts
- 15:44Speaker 2: in the water. It gets all over the water. And
- 15:46Speaker 2: then you clean it up. And then you make snow.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Good.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And I love it. Now, when Bronwyn does her original speech,
- 15:57Speaker 2: when she's out there, she's like, I just want to
- 15:59Speaker 2: explain who I am and where I'm from. Now, Lisa
- 16:03Speaker 2: and Meredith are making Bronwyn look like some kind of
- 16:08Speaker 2: compulsive liar because they're just like, I don't think she
- 16:11Speaker 2: grew up here. She spent her childhood in Amsterdam. This
- 16:14Speaker 2: is confusing. And Lisa just like always, always lying, always Bronwyn-ing.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Who is she? It's like, They are putting her on
- 16:25Speaker 2: blast like Muppets up in the balcony.
- 16:28Speaker 3: They really are.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Statler and... Here's the thing. I always get Benson and
- 16:35Speaker 2: Stabler from Law & Order SVU and then... Waldorf and Statler. Those,
- 16:43Speaker 2: I always get them. The four of them get muted.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I like that for us.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Anyway... So they're just sitting there with their comments and
- 16:53Speaker 2: God bless the crew for picking up that audio and
- 16:56Speaker 2: just threading it through to make it a beautiful scene.
- 16:59Speaker 3: And Bronwyn, what I found so, first of all, it's
- 17:04Speaker 3: so hard to go through times with these people where
- 17:07Speaker 3: you're up and then you're down. You know, they come on,
- 17:10Speaker 3: you're tickled, you're delighted, you're inspired, you're alive.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Even from her striped red and white shoes alone.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I mean, God.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Right. And it's fun and it's frothy and we're having
- 17:22Speaker 3: a great time and.
- 17:23Speaker 2: She's a fave.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Frothy.
- 17:28Speaker 3: And then we're here and she's speaking almost in my opinion,
- 17:35Speaker 3: I believe that being back in San Francisco, it got
- 17:40Speaker 3: away from her. Emotions got away from her. Her control
- 17:44Speaker 3: over the narrative got away from her a bit, in
- 17:47Speaker 3: my opinion. And I think she revealed more than maybe
- 17:53Speaker 3: she intended to about how she's sort of been plotting
- 17:57Speaker 3: this exit from her husband and how this new guy,
- 18:03Speaker 3: like I find the Brandon of it all so strange.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Not that she shouldn't be with him, but the fact
- 18:09Speaker 3: that she's trotting him out.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. To go and revisit a great time in
- 18:15Speaker 2: your life. That has to do with your estranged husband.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And to go down memory lane to reconnect with all
- 18:22Speaker 2: the people in your life from that time and collect
- 18:25Speaker 2: them all in one place and then bring your boyfriend
- 18:28Speaker 2: there amid your separation, negotiations, all this stuff is a
- 18:34Speaker 2: very weird move. And then like, I did love what she,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I got to say, I did appreciate what she was sharing.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Seeing her on the boat and talking about how this
- 18:43Speaker 2: was such a great time in her life and She's like,
- 18:46Speaker 2: I hope you guys can understand who I am and why.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And I think that people did kind of understand, but
- 18:51Speaker 2: it was more really for us, like for us to
- 18:54Speaker 2: see her, I don't know, in that location and maybe
- 18:58Speaker 2: free to open up about that time in her life,
- 19:00Speaker 2: I suppose. But it also seemed pretty pivotal for her
- 19:05Speaker 2: life at that point to go back and revisit the
- 19:10Speaker 2: life before so that she could leave it behind. Because
- 19:14Speaker 2: when she said on the boat, I've burned everything to
- 19:17Speaker 2: the ground so that I can start again. And I,
- 19:20Speaker 2: you know, fingers crossed, was an incredible statement to make.
- 19:26Speaker 2: And it is kind of true with any real relationship
- 19:30Speaker 2: that you've been in for a very long period of
- 19:32Speaker 2: time where the roots are deep. It is like burning
- 19:35Speaker 2: everything to the ground when you decide to leave. But
- 19:39Speaker 2: she's over-accessorizing the situation.
- 19:41Speaker 1: In a way.
- 19:42Speaker 2: She's doing that in real time with, The scenario and
- 19:46Speaker 2: the people, and it's so much that I... just am like,
- 19:50Speaker 2: I don't think you're doing yourself any favors here because
- 19:53Speaker 2: in the end, it's it will. explode and it is
- 19:57Speaker 2: kind of reckless it seems like i mean even heather
- 19:59Speaker 2: in her confessionals like why is bronwyn doing all this
- 20:03Speaker 2: you know trotting him around i mean heather is really
- 20:06Speaker 2: the only person who's saying it's weird that she's bringing
- 20:10Speaker 2: brandon around in the middle of all of this that's
- 20:12Speaker 2: happening with todd well it's.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Just they are not established enough for this I feel
- 20:19Speaker 3: she was so over her skis.
- 20:22Speaker 6: At that party, she was like, this is really weird.
- 20:23Speaker 6: This is really crazy.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 20:25Speaker 6: There's so much.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 20:25Speaker 6: I'm really feeling overwhelmed.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It's like the Salesforce 5 or whatever the hell. Where
- 20:32Speaker 3: did she work in finance? She worked in one market
- 20:35Speaker 3: and Salesforce Tower.
- 20:36Speaker 2: They're all there.
- 20:38Speaker 3: It's like Joan from accounting. There's so many.
- 20:40Speaker 2: There's so many Jones from accounting there that are like,
- 20:43Speaker 2: thanks for the invite. Should I stay? Do you want
- 20:48Speaker 2: to keep in touch? No, we're good. Just want to
- 20:50Speaker 2: see you one more time before you're dead to me.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Right. This is just for this moment. And I want
- 20:55Speaker 3: to show you I'm a housewife now.
- 20:57Speaker 6: How crazy is that? And I have a hot boyfriend.
- 21:00Speaker 6: How crazy is that?
- 21:01Speaker 3: But she got into that party that was a concept.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 3: A concept that was built.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Versus reality.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Reality. And so she just was so unhinged emotionally.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I felt her going crazy at that party.
- 21:18Speaker 2: No wonder she was set off by the diss track
- 21:22Speaker 2: because it wasn't about the diss track. It was about
- 21:25Speaker 2: what she had created and what she's going through in
- 21:28Speaker 2: her life right now. And no wonder it was overwhelming.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I mean, anybody in that situation would probably crack.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it's too much. It's unnecessary. And you're trying
- 21:40Speaker 3: to prove something to yourself that you haven't gotten to yet.
- 21:45Speaker 4: You know?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean? There was just something
- 21:48Speaker 3: about putting the cart before the horse on this. Like
- 21:50Speaker 3: she's like, if this is successful, I can do this.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I don't have a home. I've burned it down to
- 21:54Speaker 3: the ground. But this is the new me. And I'm
- 21:56Speaker 3: going to present it all like a debutante ball. It's
- 22:01Speaker 3: like this is my coming out party.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Where I'm presenting myself to society again.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:07Speaker 3: This new version of me where I always wanted to
- 22:10Speaker 3: be free from him and I'm reaching to the highest,
- 22:13Speaker 3: you know, I don't know.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:14Speaker 3: It all felt very insane to me.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Because like that party, if that was the intention, which
- 22:20Speaker 2: I think what you're saying makes sense to me, like
- 22:23Speaker 2: in her mind, the concept of it. What it was,
- 22:26Speaker 2: the symbolism. Yes. the underlying foundation of the old, and
- 22:32Speaker 2: then bringing in the new, meaning the housewives and Brandon
- 22:36Speaker 2: with this old version of herself. That is such a
- 22:39Speaker 2: mind F. I don't know who could possibly handle that.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And so for her to think that it was all
- 22:48Speaker 2: going to go down well seems like insane to me. Darlings,
- 22:59Speaker 2: you know I've been talking about one skin for a
- 23:01Speaker 2: while now, and there's a reason I keep coming back
- 23:03Speaker 2: to it. Because when it comes to skincare, I've reached
- 23:06Speaker 2: an age where I am no longer interested in empty promises.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I want results. And more importantly, I want science. Because listen,
- 23:14Speaker 2: I love a gorgeous jar of moisturizer as much as
- 23:17Speaker 2: the next woman, but what's actually in the jar? Is
- 23:20Speaker 2: it doing anything? Or am I just paying $ 150 for
- 23:22Speaker 2: nice packaging and an okay fragrance? That's what makes OneSkin
- 23:28Speaker 2: so different. OneSkin was founded by female PhD scientists who
- 23:33Speaker 2: specialize in longevity research. And they wanted to know, instead
- 23:37Speaker 2: of just covering up the visible signs of aging, what
- 23:40Speaker 2: if we could actually address what's causing them? We're talking
- 23:43Speaker 2: about something called senescent cells, or what scientists sometimes call
- 23:48Speaker 2: zombie cells, which first of all sounds terrifying... I don't
- 23:52Speaker 2: need zombies living on my face. I've got enough problems.
- 23:54Speaker 2: These are damaged cells that accumulate as we age and
- 23:58Speaker 2: contribute to things like fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.
- 24:03Speaker 2: OS1 is proven to switch off zombie cells and slow
- 24:06Speaker 2: skin aging directly at the source. So there you have it.
- 24:10Speaker 2: OneSkin developed their proprietary OS1 peptide designed to target these
- 24:15Speaker 2: aging-related processes at the cellular level and help support healthier-looking skin.
- 24:21Speaker 2: And here's what I love. I've been using their OS1
- 24:24Speaker 2: Face Topical Supplement consistently, and my skin genuinely feels more balanced.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I've also noticed a reduction in the appearance of my
- 24:32Speaker 2: fine lines. I've said this before, but it's worth repeating.
- 24:35Speaker 2: One Skin is the first moisturizer I've ever used that
- 24:38Speaker 2: understands my skin. It works just beautifully with my routine.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I don't need 17 different serums, a chemistry degree, and
- 24:46Speaker 2: countless hours in front of the mirror. No, I just
- 24:49Speaker 2: want to take care of my face the right way.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And this isn't just marketing hype, darlings. OneSkin has four
- 24:55Speaker 2: peer-reviewed clinical studies supporting its research, more than 10,000 five-star reviews,
- 25:01Speaker 2: and has even been featured by Bloomberg for its work
- 25:04Speaker 2: in skin longevity. I love knowing that there's serious research
- 25:07Speaker 2: behind something I'm putting on my face every single day.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Born from over a decade of longevity research, OneSkin's OS1
- 25:14Speaker 2: peptide is designed to target the visible signs of aging
- 25:17Speaker 2: and helping you unlock your healthiest looking skin now and
- 25:21Speaker 2: as you age. For a limited time, try One Skin

- 25:42Speaker 2: We need to talk about boobs again, okay? Because if
- 25:45Speaker 2: you've been listening to this podcast, you know how much
- 25:48Speaker 2: I love Honey Love. And I have to tell you
- 25:50Speaker 2: about another one of their bras, the X Balance Bra. Now,
- 25:54Speaker 2: here's my problem with most wireless bras. They promise you comfort.
- 25:59Speaker 2: And for the first hour, everything's great. You're feeling fine.
- 26:01Speaker 2: You're feeling free. You're feeling relaxed. And you feel like
- 26:05Speaker 2: you've made a wonderful life decision. And then three hours later,
- 26:08Speaker 2: your boobs have decided to move into one giant studio
- 26:11Speaker 2: apartment together. No walls, no privacy, no separation. It's the
- 26:18Speaker 2: worst nightmare living situation for your boobs, okay? It's uniboob apartment.
- 26:24Speaker 2: And listen, I want comfort, but I also want my
- 26:26Speaker 2: boobs to have their own identities, okay? Their own personal space.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Is that too much to ask? Well, apparently not. Because
- 26:33Speaker 2: Honeylove has figured it out. Their X Balance Bra is wireless,
- 26:39Speaker 2: but it actually gives you support, lift, and separation, thanks
- 26:44Speaker 2: to this clever X design right in the center. And
- 26:47Speaker 2: I love that the cups are molded foam, so you
- 26:50Speaker 2: get a really nice shape without a bunch of extra
- 26:52Speaker 2: padding or bulk. The underband is designed to feel like
- 26:56Speaker 2: a soft hug instead of a death grip. And you've
- 26:59Speaker 2: got adjustable straps and a hook and eye closure in
- 27:02Speaker 2: the back, which I appreciate because I like to put
- 27:05Speaker 2: on my bras and take them off like a civilized woman.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I don't need to wrestle my way out of a
- 27:10Speaker 2: bra like I'm escaping Alcatraz. And here's the thing I
- 27:14Speaker 2: love about Honeylove. They are a female founded company. And
- 27:17Speaker 2: you can tell these products were designed by women who
- 27:20Speaker 2: actually wear bras. They understand what we want. They understand
- 27:24Speaker 2: we want to feel supported and comfortable, whether we're working,
- 27:27Speaker 2: running errands, taking a walk, sitting at our desks, watching
- 27:30Speaker 2: The Real Housewives in our bed for three hours. Honey
- 27:34Speaker 2: Love also makes beautiful shapewear, tanks, bodysuits, and underwear. And
- 27:39Speaker 2: if you're looking to refresh your bra drawer, they even
- 27:42Speaker 2: have a crossover triple bra bundle so you can save
- 27:45Speaker 2: when you buy three. Darlings, we deserve comfort, we deserve support,
- 27:50Speaker 2: and we deserve two separate boobs. So here's the deal.

- 30:24Speaker 2: can we talk about desire for a minute? Because I
- 30:27Speaker 2: feel like nobody tells you that at a certain point
- 30:29Speaker 2: in life, getting in the mood sometimes requires your brain
- 30:32Speaker 2: to first shut down approximately 47 other tabs. Did I
- 30:35Speaker 2: answer that email? What does my daughter need for school tomorrow?
- 30:38Speaker 2: Did I move the laundry? Why is it so hot
- 30:40Speaker 2: in this house? Am I having a hot flash? And
- 30:42Speaker 2: somewhere underneath all of that is your libido going, hey,
- 30:45Speaker 2: remember me? I'm also in perimenopause right now, so I
- 30:48Speaker 2: am very interested in anything that opens up a conversation
- 30:51Speaker 2: about women. Desire, stress, mood, and feeling connected to ourselves
- 30:55Speaker 2: as our bodies and lives change. That's why Dame's Desire
- 30:58Speaker 2: Gummies caught my attention. They're a daily strawberry mango libido
- 31:02Speaker 2: supplement designed to work on some of the things that
- 31:04Speaker 2: can get in the way of desire, especially stress and mood.
- 31:08Speaker 2: And what I really appreciate is that Dame didn't just
- 31:10Speaker 2: take a bunch of individual ingredients, point to separate studies,
- 31:13Speaker 2: and say, hey, trust us. They actually studied the finished
- 31:17Speaker 2: desire gummy formula in a four-week observational study with 53 women,
- 31:21Speaker 2: shout out 53 women, who reported low desire and stressful lifestyles.
- 31:26Speaker 2: And check out these results. Among participants reporting improvement, 85%
- 31:30Speaker 2: reported increased sexual desire, 87% reported reduced stress and anxiety,
- 31:37Speaker 2: and 93% reported improved mood. I like those numbers. The
- 31:41Speaker 2: formula includes sensorial ashwagandha, L-theanine, mucuna, shatavari, and adaptogens and
- 31:48Speaker 2: a calming amino acid working together on something I think
- 31:51Speaker 2: we can all agree is not exactly an aphrodisiac, stress.
- 31:55Speaker 2: And this isn't a take a gummy and 20 minutes
- 31:58Speaker 2: later cue the Barry White situation. It's three gummies a day,
- 32:02Speaker 2: and the benefits are designed to build with consistent use.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Most women in the study who noticed changes saw them
- 32:08Speaker 2: within about two weeks, with desire continuing to improve through
- 32:11Speaker 2: week four. That's also why Dame recommends subscribing. Desire Gummies
- 32:16Speaker 2: are $ 34 a bottle, and subscribers save 15% on every order,
- 32:20Speaker 2: delivered every 20 days. You can change, pause, or cancel anytime.
- 32:24Speaker 2: And my discount stacks on top of the subscription savings.
- 32:28Speaker 2: So darlings, support the show and get 15% off Desire
- 32:31Speaker 2: Gummies at Dame.com with code DRAMA15. That's Dame.com, code DRAMA15
- 32:37Speaker 2: for 15% off. And if you subscribe, you'll get the
- 32:40Speaker 2: subscription discount plus... my 15% off code with DRAMA15. Maybe
- 32:45Speaker 2: we can't close all 47 tabs in our brain, but
- 32:48Speaker 2: perhaps we can make a little room for tab number 48. Oh, also,
- 32:57Speaker 2: it should have been a title. It shouldn't have been
- 32:59Speaker 2: 70s party. It should have been how people have a
- 33:03Speaker 2: divorce party. I don't know what this would have been called,
- 33:06Speaker 2: but It should have had a title like a rebirth.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It should have had a title like the old and
- 33:14Speaker 2: the new or like, I don't know, make new friends
- 33:18Speaker 2: but keep the old one as silver and the other
- 33:19Speaker 2: as gold, like a silver and gold party. Whatever it is.
- 33:23Speaker 2: There we go.
- 33:24Speaker 3: That's very cute.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you. I think I'll try that next time.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And that would have worked for the glam kittens and
- 33:31Speaker 3: their gold, you know, that actually folds them in quite beautifully.
- 33:36Speaker 2: But I think if she would have honestly put a
- 33:37Speaker 2: label on it as to what it actually was, it
- 33:40Speaker 2: would have made more sense to the viewers and to
- 33:43Speaker 2: her in a way.
- 33:45Speaker 3: And to all the Jones.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Yeah, to all the Jones. Like a rebranding of what
- 33:52Speaker 2: we're looking at. It's a sort of a marriage between
- 33:55Speaker 2: an old life and a new life. One that she
- 33:58Speaker 2: loved and was so happy but doesn't want it back.
- 34:01Speaker 2: And then one that she's living and is betting, you know,
- 34:04Speaker 2: betting black, you know, on this and hoping that it
- 34:07Speaker 2: works out because as she was working the room, all
- 34:10Speaker 2: I could see was the same conversation with everyone going
- 34:13Speaker 2: with her fingers crossed going, well, let's hope it all,
- 34:15Speaker 2: you know, it's what I'm hoping for. And I just,
- 34:18Speaker 2: I think it's, it's a little confusing for us because,
- 34:21Speaker 2: you know, we're all different and the way that she's
- 34:23Speaker 2: handling it, who knows how any of us would, but
- 34:26Speaker 2: she's taking us along for the journey. So we're seeing
- 34:29Speaker 2: the sausage being made. We're seeing her in the middle
- 34:32Speaker 2: of the journey with this boyfriend, with her old people,
- 34:38Speaker 2: and we're all kind of like, all right, this is interesting.
- 34:42Speaker 2: It's an interesting concept. It's just never really been done before, right?
- 34:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. Like we've had our, right, we've
- 34:49Speaker 3: definitely had our renewals and we've had our parties where
- 34:53Speaker 3: people are presenting a time of their life.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 34:57Speaker 3: But this, I think without the ink dry on the divorce,
- 35:03Speaker 3: that's probably part of it. It's like that's not done yet.
- 35:06Speaker 3: The cart just felt before the horse. But yes, does
- 35:10Speaker 3: it make it interesting to your point? Absolutely. Watching it
- 35:16Speaker 3: is like I felt out of my skin for her.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I was just like, I also don't know what it means.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Does it mean when she says, will it all work out?
- 35:26Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 35:28Speaker 2: Well, that she can survive on her own after this
- 35:32Speaker 2: marriage and that the housewives will continue to carry her
- 35:36Speaker 2: through in her new career. And I don't know. That's
- 35:40Speaker 2: just my thought. Because like, why would you... Or that
- 35:44Speaker 2: she'll be happy leaving her marriage from Todd. It was
- 35:47Speaker 2: nice to understand that they... She was really happy. That
- 35:51Speaker 2: was beautiful. I loved it because it definitely punctures a
- 35:56Speaker 2: hole in the theory that people have about her, which
- 35:59Speaker 2: is like she married for money and she never really
- 36:02Speaker 2: loved him and all this stuff. And I do really
- 36:04Speaker 2: believe that she absolutely loved him and still loves him.
- 36:08Speaker 2: and that they had a beautiful life at one point.
- 36:10Speaker 2: So I do appreciate that. And if that's what she's
- 36:14Speaker 2: trying to prove, she, or show, I should say, I
- 36:18Speaker 2: don't mean to make it, you know, superficial. But if
- 36:20Speaker 2: that's what she's trying to show us, she was successful
- 36:23Speaker 2: at that. But, you know, I also forget Todd has
- 36:25Speaker 2: been running around, you know, on these dating apps in
- 36:30Speaker 2: other cities. So it's kind of like, well, at least
- 36:33Speaker 2: she's doing it front and center and not hiding it.
- 36:37Speaker 2: But it's not to say it still isn't weird. It's
- 36:39Speaker 2: still like odd, but he's been doing it.
- 36:42Speaker 3: No, that's what she's doing. It's definitely good because I
- 36:46Speaker 3: feel like I'm sounding like pro-Todd, which I'm definitely not.
- 36:52Speaker 3: And I have forgotten about the fact that he steps
- 36:54Speaker 3: out and that's been part of their relationship for a
- 36:57Speaker 3: really long time. I do think his money and his
- 36:59Speaker 3: status is, listen, Amy, do I think, That this has
- 37:04Speaker 3: been a part of her plan all along a little bit.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Before Housewives?
- 37:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 3: A little bit. And that's okay. That's a lot of
- 37:14Speaker 3: people's plan.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 37:15Speaker 3: You know? It is.
- 37:18Speaker 2: And you know what? Also part of his plan too. So.
- 37:22Speaker 3: There you go.
- 37:23Speaker 2: You know? That's the thing. Everyone's relationship is different. You
- 37:31Speaker 2: can have love. Yes. And an arrangement at the same time.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Right. Even if you have an arrangement. I mean, I
- 37:37Speaker 3: don't know too many. I haven't had a courtside seat
- 37:42Speaker 3: to an arrangement, but it just feels like even if.
- 37:45Speaker 2: You have one. Well, you have to do blowjobs to
- 37:46Speaker 2: get courtside seats. So if you want a referral, I
- 37:51Speaker 2: can do that for you.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Oh, thank you.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Jazz tickets only, though.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Jazz. I was trying to think of what is it?
- 38:00Speaker 4: It's jazzed.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I don't think I know of many. I can certainly
- 38:06Speaker 2: count one, which is an arrangement. And that's still going strong.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Great. And I get, yeah, I can see where it
- 38:16Speaker 3: wears you down. You know, if you know what I mean? Like,
- 38:19Speaker 3: it's like this motherfucker. He really thinks who he is,
- 38:25Speaker 3: that he can be over here and over there embarrassing her.
- 38:28Speaker 3: And he's pulling numbers. I mean, yeah. Good God.
- 38:33Speaker 2: And the whole thing about like coming on The Housewives,
- 38:36Speaker 2: I mean, that to me is absolutely, you know, a
- 38:40Speaker 2: contrived opportunity to leave, which I mean, it's brilliant. Look,
- 38:47Speaker 2: I hope more people do it because it's fascinating to watch.
- 38:52Speaker 2: And that's why we watch this, you know. But again,
- 38:55Speaker 2: it's not like I'm saying that she never loved Todd
- 38:58Speaker 2: and that she shouldn't leave. She should. They should not
- 39:03Speaker 2: be together if they're like unhappy like this. And he's
- 39:05Speaker 2: such a jerk to her. And she doesn't speak out
- 39:08Speaker 2: and she doesn't speak up for herself. So then they
- 39:10Speaker 2: have this pattern and so on and so forth. But
- 39:13Speaker 2: I do appreciate hearing about how she and Todd, you know,
- 39:17Speaker 2: during that time in San Francisco and Gwen and just
- 39:19Speaker 2: having a really good life together, it seemed like. so
- 39:23Speaker 2: yeah um yeah now she's yeah go ahead sorry.
- 39:28Speaker 3: No she's just strange she's just an odd duck like
- 39:33Speaker 3: she is a unique little bird I don't necessarily trust
- 39:38Speaker 3: her that's all.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah no I hear you completely completely she's.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Got a lot of ideas.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yeah yeah love that fashion though I really do It's fun.
- 39:50Speaker 2: It's so fun. It's so fun.
- 39:51Speaker 3: It's fun.
- 39:52Speaker 2: How about when Meredith is like after they go on
- 39:57Speaker 2: that boat, Meredith's like talking about how Heather is making
- 40:03Speaker 2: these accusations or I'm sorry, allegations. And then they're talking
- 40:07Speaker 2: about it at the party. And Meredith does her little confessional.
- 40:11Speaker 2: She's like, no, it seems like Heather is calling me.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Bronwyn a whore, and her boyfriend is a paid escort.
- 40:18Speaker 2: She needs her husband to support their lifestyle, and he's
- 40:23Speaker 2: a sex worker, and everyone is deaf, dumb, and blind,
- 40:27Speaker 2: and I'm appalled. You know, it's like, wait, slow your roll, Meredith, okay?
- 40:32Speaker 2: Let's just, like, relax a minute. She really went for it.
- 40:36Speaker 3: Sex worker really jolted us. You know, I wasn't... I was.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I hurt my back. I slept weird. And then I
- 40:45Speaker 2: was like, huh? And I was like, ow, I tweaked
- 40:47Speaker 2: it again. It just was like, are you serious? Like
- 40:50Speaker 2: she just really, because she's a lawyer and she knows
- 40:54Speaker 2: how to take the smallest little crumb and turn it
- 40:58Speaker 2: into a full fledging, growing, bulky little seed, you know,
- 41:05Speaker 2: and just plants it and just waters it and watches
- 41:09Speaker 2: it grow. That's what she does. She slaps those big
- 41:12Speaker 2: terms on it. And she's got a case.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Damn!
- 41:17Speaker 3: She did weave a case together quite quickly and quite
- 41:22Speaker 3: powerfully in that confessional. And I was like, oh, shit. Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 2: It's not going to work because she's not going to
- 41:29Speaker 2: be able to bring Bronwyn over to her side anytime
- 41:31Speaker 2: soon anyway. Because even if she's trying to separate or
- 41:36Speaker 2: cause problems between Heather and Bronwyn... On some level.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Right.
- 41:42Speaker 2: It's not going to hold up in court because Bronwyn
- 41:44Speaker 2: is so over that diss track.
- 41:47Speaker 3: That diss track. Yeah, that diss track is going to
- 41:49Speaker 3: be a hard recovery.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I'm not saying I want to rewrite history, but the
- 41:53Speaker 2: right thing would have been to do a track about
- 41:56Speaker 2: Bronwyn and like being in San Francisco and just like
- 41:59Speaker 2: having fun instead of just this really random, vague hypocrisy
- 42:04Speaker 2: and bullshit. And then when Lisa's ass in the confessional, like... Like,
- 42:10Speaker 2: who was that song about, Bronwyn?
- 42:12Speaker 1: No, no.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It was about everyone and everything and every, like, from B.C.
- 42:17Speaker 2: to A.D. And everything that, wait, who's the founder of
- 42:23Speaker 2: Mormonism again? John, what's his toes?
- 42:27Speaker 3: Proctor? Proctor and Gamble.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Proctor.
- 42:29Speaker 2: No, that's from The Crucible. No, we're so close. Anyway, whatever.
- 42:36Speaker 2: John Johnson.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I'm going to look. Brigham Young, no. Joseph Smith?
- 42:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Joseph Smith. And Brigham Young, I think, was maybe
- 42:46Speaker 2: the next prophet. And then that's also a school. I
- 42:48Speaker 2: don't know, guys. I'm sorry. We don't have our full
- 42:51Speaker 2: Mormon theology down. But I do love a Crucible reference.
- 42:57Speaker 2: And you know I played Abigail when I was at
- 43:00Speaker 2: the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I got to play Abigail.
- 43:04Speaker 2: What's up? Come on, Abigail. That's who I am. Really
- 43:13Speaker 2: amazing part. Who wants a bump? But anyway, yeah, I
- 43:19Speaker 2: don't even know what we're talking about anymore.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 43:20Speaker 2: I want to go over the boat because I was
- 43:23Speaker 2: so worried about Angie. In her seasickness. And I knew
- 43:27Speaker 2: it was going to be a disaster. Those waters are
- 43:30Speaker 2: so rough up there. And after what she went through,
- 43:33Speaker 2: I immediately knew. And I said to myself, Angie, you
- 43:36Speaker 2: better get the fuck off that boat. And she had
- 43:38Speaker 2: to pay for it. And you know what? I am
- 43:40Speaker 2: just like Angie. Angie and I are simpatico when it
- 43:44Speaker 2: comes to our bodies and how they react when we
- 43:48Speaker 2: get in unbalanced waters. Because I have been there, my friend.
- 43:52Speaker 2: And I'm going to tell you what. You would think
- 43:54Speaker 2: that it would stop once you get grounded and you're
- 43:57Speaker 2: on land, but it doesn't. It keeps going.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Well, that we learned.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was shocked. When it happened to me
- 44:04Speaker 2: the first time, I was on Lake Michigan, okay? I
- 44:08Speaker 2: was in Chicago. Some of my comedian friends, we were, like,
- 44:12Speaker 2: one of them was a sailor. We took out a boat.
- 44:16Speaker 2: He's just, you know, bolting through the waters at a
- 44:19Speaker 2: very fast pace. Thinking, oh, you know, he's living his
- 44:23Speaker 2: best life. He knows what's going on. And we're all like, huh,
- 44:26Speaker 2: I'm starting to feel a little weird, right? So then
- 44:28Speaker 2: we go and we anchor in this little cove. And
- 44:31Speaker 2: I am absolutely sicker than a dog. I could not
- 44:36Speaker 2: believe it. I could not stop throwing up. And finally,
- 44:40Speaker 2: when I got off onto dry land, I immediately felt
- 44:44Speaker 2: like better. I got home. I was sick for three days.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 44:53Speaker 2: I am not kidding you. Oh, shoot. Including that day.
- 44:57Speaker 2: I'm going to say three days. So an additional two.
- 45:01Speaker 2: An additional two days. And let me tell you what.
- 45:04Speaker 2: I had an audition for Saturday Night Live the following week.
- 45:08Speaker 6: No.
- 45:09Speaker 2: So that whole weekend when I should have been like rehearsing.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:14Speaker 2: It was so bad.
- 45:14Speaker 3: You had an audition for Saturday Night Live. How fun.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I did it twice. Once when I was
- 45:19Speaker 2: in Chicago and then once in LA. Wow. But like
- 45:22Speaker 2: I could not believe. I was like, why isn't my
- 45:25Speaker 2: body snapping back? Do I have the flu or whatever?
- 45:27Speaker 2: But it just sometimes that happens to people.
- 45:29Speaker 3: The equilibrium's off and it needs, it can't recalibrate.
- 45:34Speaker 4: No.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Anyway, poor Angie. Oh my God.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 45:39Speaker 2: She couldn't go to the 70s party.
- 45:40Speaker 3: I know. Part of me was like, you know, maybe
- 45:45Speaker 3: she needs to, the time to just like chill out
- 45:47Speaker 3: in the bed too. When she was, when they were
- 45:50Speaker 3: FaceTiming her and she was like, wait, I'm sorry, is everyone,
- 45:54Speaker 3: this was part of the fever dream of the episode.
- 45:56Speaker 3: She's like, wait, am I still on the phone? Like,
- 45:58Speaker 3: are you guys all talking with me or is this still?
- 46:02Speaker 3: It was just the crazy, yeah, it was just a
- 46:05Speaker 3: crazy app.
- 46:06Speaker 2: That and then like the whole whale and Lisa in
- 46:10Speaker 2: her confessional being like.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Whale, whale, whale.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Lisa was doing whale sounds.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Oh.
- 46:19Speaker 2: And Meredith was like, I love whales.
- 46:22Speaker 3: I love whales.
- 46:23Speaker 2: And then Lisa was like, you need whale jewelry. It just,
- 46:28Speaker 2: those two were like Luann and Sonia, you know?
- 46:32Speaker 3: Oh, keep it in the family.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Just keep it right where we are.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not going to go to like George Burns,
- 46:39Speaker 2: George and Gracie, but you know, it's, it's, it's up there.
- 46:44Speaker 2: But Lisa and Meredith, when they're like writing the song
- 46:47Speaker 2: and Lisa's like, I'm so glad I don't have a
- 46:48Speaker 2: Broadway voice. And it's more like Beyonce. And Meredith's face
- 46:54Speaker 2: was like frozen in time, both physically and like mentally,
- 46:59Speaker 2: because she was like, I don't know how to respond
- 47:01Speaker 2: to that because neither is true.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Yeah, Meredith is interesting because I do understand Lisa with Meredith.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Meredith to Lisa, and I don't even know how to
- 47:16Speaker 3: explain what I'm feeling, but it's different. It's like, I don't,
- 47:21Speaker 3: I'm like, Meredith, what do you think about Lisa? Do
- 47:24Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying?
- 47:25Speaker 2: Yeah, she's not saying it out loud because they have
- 47:29Speaker 2: an allyship, but she does see a lot that she's
- 47:33Speaker 2: not saying, you know. She sees the delusion.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Like when that lipstick was lining.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:40Speaker 3: For 20 minutes. The time code on it was making
- 47:43Speaker 3: me laugh.
- 47:44Speaker 4: That was so good.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Meredith was like clocking it, thinking about it, having thoughts,
- 47:52Speaker 3: but she's not going to say it.
- 47:54Speaker 2: No, she's not going to.
- 47:55Speaker 3: It is such an alliance and I think that's what
- 47:58Speaker 3: we're seeing. I know we already made a survivor reference,
- 48:01Speaker 3: but this is a survivor alliance.
- 48:04Speaker 2: You see something, you say nothing. You keep it to yourself.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Right. You're just going to It's Whitney's ball gag.
- 48:12Speaker 2: She's like Whitney's ball gag in her mouth because she
- 48:15Speaker 2: sees it and she's like, I'm just going to keep
- 48:16Speaker 2: that to myself and then someone else will point it out.
- 48:20Speaker 3: And listen, if you're Bronwyn, Bronwyn thought she did her
- 48:24Speaker 3: big one by sending them to a vibrator museum, right?
- 48:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Okay. Do you not think you're going to get served
- 48:33Speaker 3: back anything, Ms. Bronwyn?
- 48:35Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you. You're absolutely right.
- 48:39Speaker 1: What happened?
- 48:39Speaker 6: What happened?
- 48:40Speaker 2: That. You got served at your own party. So welcome in,
- 48:45Speaker 2: you know.
- 48:46Speaker 3: It's just, that's the way. That's the way of it.
- 48:50Speaker 4: It is.
- 48:51Speaker 2: The party didn't have entertainment.
- 48:54Speaker 3: That's true. I thought it, I mean, Lisa, when they
- 48:59Speaker 3: get such a boring party, it did feel like a
- 49:01Speaker 3: fun party.
- 49:02Speaker 2: I thought it did look like a great party too.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I love the venue. I thought that the room was
- 49:08Speaker 2: filled out nicely, which typically in these Housewives parties, you're
- 49:12Speaker 2: seeing people that are in production or in the business
- 49:15Speaker 2: that are asked to be there and it's just like
- 49:17Speaker 2: so not organic. And like you said, we got to
- 49:20Speaker 2: see all the Jones in accounting. And I loved that.
- 49:23Speaker 2: They were in their sequins. They were living their best life.
- 49:26Speaker 2: It was great. So when they did get up there,
- 49:30Speaker 2: it did hit like a lead balloon. And it was like, whoa,
- 49:34Speaker 2: it's not the time and place. But as time went on.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Their commitment.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It was electric.
- 49:43Speaker 3: They might as well have come out and said, we
- 49:46Speaker 3: rule the school. We rule the school.
- 49:49Speaker 6: Oh, yeah? We rule the school.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Say it again.
- 49:52Speaker 3: We rule the school.
- 49:53Speaker 1: A what?
- 49:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 3: You know, it's just.
- 49:57Speaker 2: We rule the school.
- 50:01Speaker 6: Oh, Deanna, that's so good.
- 50:08Speaker 3: It's giving that, you know.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Oh, boy, it sure did. It sure did. I think
- 50:16Speaker 2: we can wrap it up. The last thing I want
- 50:18Speaker 2: to mention is that before Angie took to her bed
- 50:24Speaker 2: for the rest of the trip, you know, she pushed
- 50:28Speaker 2: it with Lisa on the boat by saying, like, the
- 50:31Speaker 2: golden ratio of lips should be one-third. The top lip
- 50:36Speaker 2: should be one-third. It was like, why are you fighting
- 50:38Speaker 2: this battle? You know, it's just, it doesn't need to be,
- 50:41Speaker 2: and look where it got you. Now you're puking over
- 50:44Speaker 2: the edge, okay? Because you couldn't follow up with what
- 50:50Speaker 2: would have happened later, you know? So I didn't appreciate that.
- 50:55Speaker 2: But it was nice to hear Lisa say, I don't
- 50:58Speaker 2: have filler in my lips. And I've never thought she
- 51:01Speaker 2: did have filler. So- So take that.
- 51:04Speaker 3: I will tell you, when they did a flashback on Lisa,
- 51:07Speaker 3: I was like, oh, she has filler now.
- 51:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:10Speaker 3: But that's okay. It's okay.
- 51:13Speaker 2: I'm fine with it. But seriously, she lied. And I'm
- 51:16Speaker 2: not saying like, what? A housewife lied. I genuinely believe
- 51:21Speaker 2: that she didn't have filler in her lips.
- 51:24Speaker 3: She may not. She really may not. I think Lisa
- 51:27Speaker 3: has one of the most natural faces ever. on the
- 51:31Speaker 3: entire show and across all cities. She really is not
- 51:36Speaker 3: doing all that, which I love. Is Angie in a position?
- 51:43Speaker 3: It just doesn't seem right. But Lisa has, I will say,
- 51:50Speaker 3: and I do think It has to do with her
- 51:53Speaker 3: time in Ultimate Girls Trip, her status change, her invigoration.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Speak on it.
- 52:00Speaker 3: She has been coming out with some one-liners in these
- 52:04Speaker 3: confessionals that are killing me. She's killing it.
- 52:07Speaker 2: She's killing.
- 52:08Speaker 3: She's really like, boom, boom. I'm getting her humor more.
- 52:13Speaker 3: I think she's smarter than I anticipated or I've been
- 52:17Speaker 3: giving her credit for like, Even her doing the bitch
- 52:21Speaker 3: thing with her. By the way, that makeup crew, the
- 52:26Speaker 3: glam team with Lisa and Meredith when they did their
- 52:30Speaker 3: practice run and the glam team's just like.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Standing there awkwardly. Actually, I'm glad you mentioned that because
- 52:38Speaker 2: that was one of my favorite parts was their reaction
- 52:41Speaker 2: and watching them when Heather's like, I bet they rehearsed
- 52:45Speaker 2: this all night long. And then you see them.
- 52:50Speaker 4: And then you see him rehearsing and then yeah the
- 52:54Speaker 4: camera over to the the glam team like oh god
- 52:58Speaker 4: are they really gonna do this yeah.
- 53:01Speaker 3: And the glam team was like now what is this
- 53:03Speaker 3: about this is about like is there a right it's
- 53:06Speaker 3: just again i think they only heard maybe two words
- 53:10Speaker 3: maybe three at that time i mean they were stumped.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Oh god that had to have looked horrific like they
- 53:16Speaker 2: aren't serious.
- 53:17Speaker 3: There seems light on content, guys. You know, is this
- 53:23Speaker 3: a first draft? Is this the final form? Because it
- 53:29Speaker 3: feels very sparse.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Yeah. I hope that track was 30 seconds because that's
- 53:34Speaker 2: about as long as they could have done it.
- 53:37Speaker 3: I mean, that's where you go, listen, these girls. And so,
- 53:42Speaker 3: I don't know, Lisa's, like, Lisa... Saying to the glam
- 53:45Speaker 3: team when she said, I think it was in this
- 53:49Speaker 3: episode when she's like, sometimes it's like, bitch.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Oh, God, that was great.
- 53:52Speaker 3: You know, I'm like. Bitch.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Bitch.
- 53:56Speaker 3: And they were like, bitch. And she was like, ah.
- 53:59Speaker 3: You know, there's just, she's kind of giving me some life.
- 54:02Speaker 4: She is.
- 54:02Speaker 3: I would say.
- 54:03Speaker 2: She used to start the episode like that with her
- 54:05Speaker 2: just goofing around with the glam team. And then the
- 54:08Speaker 2: rest of the episode, goofing, like new boot goofing.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Reno 911 reference. With Meredith all about San Fran. It's
- 54:18Speaker 2: like this is her in peak Lisa Barlow form. And
- 54:23Speaker 2: it's so nice to see because we really saw her
- 54:26Speaker 2: trying to reach the Mount Everest of fun on Ultimate
- 54:30Speaker 2: Girls Trip. And she could never get there. She couldn't
- 54:32Speaker 2: reach the peak.
- 54:33Speaker 3: These gnats. These gnats kept flooding her and swarming.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Oh, God. Well, listen, such a blast. And we'll leave
- 54:45Speaker 2: it there. We're going to leave it there, as Andy says.
- 54:47Speaker 2: So Deanna Chang, where can everyone find you?
- 54:51Speaker 3: Oh, hey, guys. Listen, darlings, you can march yourself over
- 54:57Speaker 3: to Deanna M.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Chang.
- 54:59Speaker 3: March on over on Instagram. If you haven't given my
- 55:02Speaker 3: podcast a listen, it's How to Be Less Old on
- 55:05Speaker 3: Apple Podcasts or Substack or anywhere you want to go.
- 55:09Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 55:10Speaker 2: That's it.
- 55:10Speaker 4: For now.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Good. I just listened to your episode about your vacuum.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I loved it. So that was amazing. I love the content.
- 55:20Speaker 2: And I love you. Bye, guys. Thank you so much
