Why Columbia, Tennessee, celebrates the humble mule

The origins of this Maury County tradition date back to the 1800s, but the event known as Mule Day started in it current form in 1974. We'll take a look back at this year's celebration and forward to next year's 50th anniversary. We also explore what role the humble yet mighty mule plays today.
