- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett.
- 0:06Speaker 2: All Right, well, I had some breaking news crossed my wire,
- 0:10Speaker 2: and it's not the newsy kind you'd think. It's actually
- 0:13Speaker 2: a follow up to a conversation I had just a
- 0:16Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago about, you know, making sure your
- 0:21Speaker 2: kidneys are okay and how to live through kidney disease
- 0:25Speaker 2: and the fight, the heroic fight Nick Mangled had with
- 0:30Speaker 2: it since two thousand and five. Six and good RX
- 0:35Speaker 2: came out with this story today, The five best drinks
- 0:38Speaker 2: if you have bad kidneys, and a few to avoid.
- 0:43Speaker 2: The five drinks and juices that can help your kidneys
- 0:45Speaker 2: function at your best. Water, as I only drink one
- 0:49Speaker 2: or two bottles, my doctor actually coming to five or six.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But about sixty to seventy percent of your body is water,
- 0:55Speaker 2: and your kidneys rely on water to make urine, that's
- 1:00Speaker 2: what they write, and it just keeps everything flowing. So
- 1:04Speaker 2: water's number one. Number two is low fat milk. I'm
- 1:09Speaker 2: lactose intolerant. Maybe you can enjoy milk as for yourself.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But here's the one that I found interesting because, as
- 1:17Speaker 2: people know around these parts, I drink a lot of coffee.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Now I'm sure they mean the very black coffee with nothing,
- 1:24Speaker 2: no additives, nothing in there. But they say the third
- 1:28Speaker 2: best drink to have is coffee. Participants who drank one
- 1:32Speaker 2: or more cups of coffee daily had a lower risk
- 1:35Speaker 2: of death from kidney disease compared to people who never
- 1:39Speaker 2: drink coffee.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So Ryan, I'll be around for a while. That's good about.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Another study found that people who drink three cups of
- 1:45Speaker 2: coffee a day had even a lower risk of disease.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Now why am I bringing this up?
- 1:50Speaker 2: Because I do have one kidney and you can google
- 1:53Speaker 2: Gemini and sure enough, Gemini writes that in their AI
- 1:56Speaker 2: description of my disability. I guess I've talked about it
- 2:00Speaker 2: a few times. But they do say avoid. Yeah, avoid
- 2:07Speaker 2: excessive amounts of coffee, drink plain black coffee, or even
- 2:12Speaker 2: consider drinking decaf. They say green tea is good for
- 2:15Speaker 2: you too, because green tea contains the kettekin epigaluctin three galley.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Which may be helped for some people with kidney disease.
- 2:26Speaker 2: E G O G and then and then unsweetened cranberry juice.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You may have heard cranberry juice is good for the kidneys.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Cranberries are rich in flavonoids another type of antioxidant. So
- 2:38Speaker 2: there's your top five to drink according to good RX.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And I'd love to get a sponsorship with them. Maybe
- 2:44Speaker 2: we can pitch them and say, hey, I just covered
- 2:47Speaker 2: one of your stories, Send me more and I'll keep
- 2:49Speaker 2: promoting the good RX news of the day if you will,
- 2:53Speaker 2: for the adapting crowd and the health crowd. And this
- 3:00Speaker 2: was written by doctor Cherylyn Davis in NYC and edited
- 3:06Speaker 2: by doctor Kittie Golden. So I didn't really see the
- 3:13Speaker 2: bad ones, although they say carbonated water is not bad
- 3:17Speaker 2: for your kidneys, but other ingredients incarbinated beverages may be harmful.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Lemon water with regular water fresh lemons in there is
- 3:26Speaker 2: good for the kidneys.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And beet juice. I'm not a big fan of beet juice,
- 3:31Speaker 1: but they're not bad for your kidneys either.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The bottom line, they write, when it comes to keeping
- 3:35Speaker 2: your kidneys healthy, what you drink makes a difference. To
- 3:38Speaker 2: help protect your kidneys, drink beverages like plain water, coffee
- 3:41Speaker 2: with low fat milk, and.
- 3:42Speaker 1: On sweetened cranberry juice.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And of course they say the research is always evolving,
- 3:48Speaker 2: but I just found it interesting on a day where
- 3:51Speaker 2: I just downed another iced coffee, like another Tuesday, well Thursday,
- 3:56Speaker 2: if you get my drift. But it's like another day
- 3:59Speaker 2: in the life of me. It's interesting to know that
- 4:03Speaker 2: moderate amount of coffee is fine. Maybe less sugars and
- 4:10Speaker 2: flavors would be helpful, but anyway.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm hopeful.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I'm hopeful with this news that I can be inspired
- 4:16Speaker 2: to take better care of my renal, the one kidney
- 4:20Speaker 2: function I have. The doctor always says there's another one,
- 4:23Speaker 2: but we don't know if it's functional or not, so
- 4:27Speaker 2: there are technically two, but one's just really not just
- 4:29Speaker 2: sitting there.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I do think it helps a little bit.
- 4:32Speaker 2: But anyway, in my case, I need to see this.
- 4:35Speaker 2: And I know God places these stories in my inbox
- 4:38Speaker 2: for a reason, and that's why I want to share
- 4:40Speaker 2: with you here on a Thursday, December fourth. And you know,
- 4:44Speaker 2: it's a good time to mention this because people are
- 4:46Speaker 2: gonna go out have their fun. Just be mindful during
- 4:49Speaker 2: the Christmas holiday season, Honika season to drink what's good
- 4:55Speaker 2: for you. And you know, I'm not touched an actual
- 5:00Speaker 2: alcoholic drink since May of twenty twenty four, and.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I think that's kept me going here.
- 5:06Speaker 2: In the long run, and now this story adding to that,
- 5:10Speaker 2: I'll keep it in mind, I'll put it in a practice.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I'll let you know how it goes, and you let
- 5:14Speaker 2: me know how it goes for you if you do
- 5:16Speaker 2: have some kidney issues, if some of these studies that
- 5:19Speaker 2: they show are inspiring you to get your health back
- 5:23Speaker 2: on track. Now there is one new bit that I
- 5:25Speaker 2: really want to talk about today. It's not the narco terrorist,
- 5:29Speaker 2: because that's what it is. But this was an interesting
- 5:33Speaker 2: story from the New York Post, and there's going the
- 5:35Speaker 2: one like a alex News feature of the day. Two.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Apparently to the New York Post, a Chinese agent is
- 5:45Speaker 2: saying Governor Hokeel is much more obedient than.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Now this story comes out in what's about to be
- 5:55Speaker 2: a heated election year. Accused Chinese agent Linda's son boasted
- 6:01Speaker 2: that Governor Hokell is much more obedient than Andrew Cuomo.
- 6:06Speaker 2: The former top state official who allegedly served as a
- 6:09Speaker 2: Chinese agent once and I remember the story, once bragged
- 6:12Speaker 2: that Kathie Holkle was much more obedient than lieutenant governor
- 6:17Speaker 2: than Governor Cuomo. Remember she was lieutenant governor of Di
- 6:20Speaker 2: Cuomo Sun had convinced Hockel, who served as the Lieutenant governor,
- 6:27Speaker 2: to film a lunar New Year video touting China's New
- 6:31Speaker 2: York consulate. When she made the shocking comment, the accused
- 6:36Speaker 2: Beijing mole wrote to China Councilor official Liua Lee in
- 6:41Speaker 2: twenty twenty one, she is much more obedient than the governor.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Governor Hokele, You're now being shown to sympathize
- 6:52Speaker 2: and to sand with a socialist who just won in
- 6:56Speaker 2: New York City, and now you're being called obedient to China,
- 7:00Speaker 2: at least to Phonic. I hope you jump on this story.
- 7:02Speaker 2: In fact, I'm gonna tag you on this because you
- 7:06Speaker 2: need to jump on this story that Governor Hokeel is
- 7:13Speaker 2: being touted as obedient to one of our enemies, to Chida.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm telling you her political downfall's coming, if not in
- 7:23Speaker 2: the primary, hopefully in November. But the Chinese officials asked
- 7:30Speaker 2: Cuomo to film the video, but Sun told them she
- 7:34Speaker 2: could likely get Hoco.
- 7:35Speaker 1: To particpate instead. Where she's right, the LG can probably
- 7:41Speaker 1: do it. I didn't like.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Cuomo the way into the pandemic, but I will tell
- 7:49Speaker 2: you against all our enemies. He does sound more common
- 7:53Speaker 2: sense than Hokeel and Mom Donnie put together. Now, I
- 7:58Speaker 2: wonder what hok is gonna have to say about this report.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I hope someone puts it on her desk and says, hey,
- 8:02Speaker 2: did you see this?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Because this isn't good.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And this goes along the line of obedient to donors.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Look how many kickbacks she got for the Buffalo Bills,
- 8:13Speaker 2: stadium and other things that's been going on, and they don't.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Endure her campaign. She's obedient to people that.
- 8:26Speaker 2: And now apparently in China, but to people who just
- 8:29Speaker 2: elevate her rise through the government through kickbacks. So just
- 8:36Speaker 2: I guess add this a list, but make it a
- 8:39Speaker 2: top of the priority. Note eleast to Phonic that Governor
- 8:43Speaker 2: Hokeel is known to be obedient, obedient to China more
- 8:50Speaker 2: so than Governor Cuomo. That's not a red flag heading
- 8:54Speaker 2: into twenty twenty six for her.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Then, I don't know.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I don't know why we keep voting all these people,
- 9:00Speaker 2: and Lee's Ellen were in a hell of a campaign.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I think Stefana could do the same. But if the
- 9:06Speaker 1: city folks can.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Just watch how all these people they elect, they elect
- 9:14Speaker 2: are here to backslide us or down down, downgrade us,
- 9:21Speaker 2: regress us, then we be better off because if we
- 9:24Speaker 2: get actual people in here that want to help the
- 9:26Speaker 2: city grow, you know, this is a bad mark.
- 9:31Speaker 1: This is a bad mark.
- 9:34Speaker 2: And so here she is standing with Mom Donnie. Now
- 9:37Speaker 2: she's being called obedience China, and I one more thought.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Last night was the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting, God blessed mayor.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Mayor like Mom Donnie, you better keep that I went
- 9:49Speaker 2: last night in case it was the last Rockefeller tree
- 9:51Speaker 2: lighting four years.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Because this guy.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Has his eye on eliminiting a lot of things like parades,
- 9:58Speaker 2: like traditions that are the fab work of New York City.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Just don't don't elemente all that a mare like Mum Donnie.
- 10:07Speaker 2: And whatever you do, do not be obedient to anyone
- 10:12Speaker 2: but the City of New York. And most importantly, I
- 10:16Speaker 2: guess I should start where I ended. Be obedient to
- 10:19Speaker 2: your health, be obedient to your kidneys like I have
- 10:22Speaker 2: to be.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I won't keep debating and blabbering on.
- 10:26Speaker 2: But we don't do it if we don't say obedient
- 10:28Speaker 2: to our health, not to China.
