- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And on today's episode of The
- 0:42Hypnotist, I'm going to be joined by a guest hypnotist.
- 0:46It's not going to be me doing the hypnotherapy.
- 0:49We're going to be meeting Brenda Rhodes.
- 0:51So, Brenda, welcome to the show. Thank you, Adam.
- 0:54I'm happy to be here. Great to have you here.
- 0:56And we're going to be talking at the Irish Hypnotherapy
- 0:59Conference literally in a few weeks time.
- 1:02So we'll touch on that, you know, very shortly.
- 1:04But I'm always fascinated with how people become therapists,
- 1:09how they get into the world of hypnosis.
- 1:11Some focus on actually doing the hypnotherapy, some instruct
- 1:15other people and train other people.
- 1:17But it always starts normally with quite an interesting story.
- 1:19So tell me how you ended up in this, in this kind of industry,
- 1:23this kind of niche that we call hypnosis.
- 1:26I was. Pregnant and I went to a midwife
- 1:28and she asked me if she wanted, if I wanted her to create an
- 1:33audio tape for me. And I'm like, yeah, sure.
- 1:37I was always open to new, exciting things, and so she
- 1:41created it. I had three children, naturally
- 1:45using hypnosis, and we got to be really good friends.
- 1:49So she'd asked me if I would be willing to help her and do
- 1:55hypnosis for her clients. And I'm like, yeah, but I don't
- 1:58know how. So she hands me a book and it
- 2:01was basically a script book for pregnancy and labor and delivery
- 2:08for, you know, hypnosis and, and birthing of baby.
- 2:12And so I just went on from there and it, it became a really big
- 2:18passion and I was able to pull that in with different pieces of
- 2:23my life and using that to help me as well as helping other
- 2:27people. And then the clients that I was
- 2:30seeing to help them have natural childbirth, they were telling
- 2:34other people about it. So I started working with people
- 2:37that quit smoking and anxiety and it just kind of went on from
- 2:40there. Amazing.
- 2:42So is this phrase hypnobirthing that sometimes gets used around
- 2:46was that was that kind of where you felt really comfortable to
- 2:49begin with and it kind of expanded out from that?
- 2:52Yes, yeah, that's where it started.
- 2:54And I, I believe we can use that term now the, the individual
- 2:59that created that I think has passed away.
- 3:02So now it's allowed to be used in the United States as hypno
- 3:06birthing. But yeah, it's a, it's a very
- 3:08powerful tool. And it helps to allow that
- 3:12person to be really calm and confident and to give them focus
- 3:16so that they're just focusing on knowing that this is a natural
- 3:21thing that the body actually does.
- 3:23The body knows how to do this. It's just leading that aspect of
- 3:27our mind to be very calm instead of all those things that women
- 3:32have heard about horror stories and and this and that about
- 3:36dangers and all that. So it's really taking all that
- 3:40were de hypnotizing them and creating a positive hypnosis so
- 3:45that it's easy to have that baby and and such a pleasant
- 3:48experience. And that phrase de hypnotizing
- 3:51because there is a lot of expectation or fears or kind of
- 3:55implied suggestions like this idea of, you know, epidurals and
- 4:00kind of pain relief and even the word pain.
- 4:03Cause I've never actually had a hypnosis client for hypno
- 4:06birthing. I've done a lot for pregnancy
- 4:08anxiety, but never hypno birthing.
- 4:10But when I did my, my kind of studies on hypno birthing, it
- 4:13was kind of like, you don't talk about pain, it's talking about,
- 4:17you know, sensations and things like that.
- 4:20And that's a really good way of thinking about all hypnosis,
- 4:24like the real importance of language and you know, the the
- 4:28unconscious presuppositions that you're projecting through what
- 4:31you're saying. Because I'm sure there's some
- 4:33very kind of well-intentioned mid midwives out there that
- 4:37actually increase anxiety through their choice of words
- 4:39simply because they don't know the impact it has.
- 4:43Yeah, words are huge and and you know, just the everyday words
- 4:48like I'll use the word pain. If we would change that to
- 4:51discomfort, the mind actually hears comfort.
- 4:55It doesn't hear the disk or words like don't if you say that
- 5:00to somebody, don't hit your child, they'll hear hit your
- 5:05child. I mean, here's an example.
- 5:07Don't think of the pink barn. What are you thinking about?
- 5:11You're you're thinking about that barn.
- 5:13So yeah, words are very, very key.
- 5:16And it's really important that we start to focus on having a
- 5:19positive mindset and a positive verbiage in our life to create
- 5:25the happiness and and ease of life.
- 5:29Because when we focus on that negative or negative word, it
- 5:32just keeps replaying. So that replaying is.
- 5:36Sometimes people call that as looping or negative hypnosis.
- 5:40Absolutely. And you've, you've got people
- 5:42that are so afraid of the idea of childbirth that actually they
- 5:45never become pregnant. Or if they do, they, they, they
- 5:48kind of abort that because they're so terrified of the
- 5:51actual, you know, kind of, I think it's tocophobia, the
- 5:55actual kind of specific, you know, fear of pregnancy.
- 5:57But you can understand if you've seen, you know, kind of, let's
- 6:02say, representations in movies where it's kind of like a
- 6:05horrible, you know, painful thing and screams and those kind
- 6:09of things where you've heard horror stories from other
- 6:10people. They're pretty significant seeds
- 6:13to put in someone's mind that can create that anticipatory
- 6:17fear. Yeah, it's, it's only a fraction
- 6:20of a second to make a decision if you're going to accept that
- 6:23suggestion or what somebody has said to you to make that part of
- 6:28your belief system. And I think it is a cultural
- 6:30belief system. I think if you were to stop 100
- 6:32people on the on the street, like this kind of family
- 6:34fortunes kind of game show. And he said, like, what's one of
- 6:37the most painful experiences a human can experience?
- 6:40I'm sure childbirth and labor would be up there.
- 6:42It's just kind of like a cultural kind of perception, but
- 6:46then you find, you know, kind of stories of people that are in
- 6:49different cultures, you know, people that, you know, in
- 6:52tribes, in the rainforest. And it's an entirely different
- 6:55experience because their culture looks at it and and has
- 6:58perceptions that are entirely different from this kind of
- 7:01Western culture that it's you need to be medicated, you need
- 7:04to be in a hospital, you know, has this connotation of pain
- 7:07because you need pain relief. It's very, very different.
- 7:10Do you think that culture, in a way is a form of kind of
- 7:14hypnosis? Oh, absolutely.
- 7:16You know, that's one of the things that I thought about was
- 7:20that I'm pregnant, but there's people in 3rd world countries
- 7:24dropping babies in, in fields and they, you know, it's a, a no
- 7:29brainer. They just go on with their life.
- 7:31And so I, I do, I think society really causes a lot of negative
- 7:38influences on the brain. And unfortunately, because we're
- 7:42raised in this and we're raged with negativity, there's a lot
- 7:47of that that is, is really implanted from birth to about 7
- 7:52to 9 years old. And that's when all those belief
- 7:56systems really take effect because a child at that age,
- 8:00they're just a sponge. They're absorbing everything.
- 8:02They're in hypnosis all the time.
- 8:04Their mind is in that altered state and think about it.
- 8:08That's how they learn so much. That's how, as you know, you as
- 8:12a child were able to get up, crawl, walk, and then, you know,
- 8:16if you feel down, you just got up.
- 8:18It was, it was nothing. And then you learned your
- 8:20language and maybe other languages.
- 8:23But then once you hit about nine years old, you're, you're pretty
- 8:26much solid with your psyche and your belief system.
- 8:30And unfortunately, a lot of the stuff that we've been told by
- 8:33society, by religion, by our parents, by our friends, it
- 8:38really doesn't work for us. It may be somebody else's
- 8:41perspective, and that's their perspective, but it's not our
- 8:46truth. However, we're being navigated
- 8:48from those earlier years of somebody else's truth.
- 8:51And that's why, you know, hypnosis is really, really
- 8:55profound because we can go to those places where those truths
- 8:59were accepted at that time and help that person to realize,
- 9:03hey, yeah, that's not my truth anymore, or that never was my
- 9:07truth. I can do something different and
- 9:09I'm OK for doing that. Yeah.
- 9:11And, and, and to question that requires a certain level of
- 9:14awareness because I think, I think a lot of this kind of
- 9:17socialization or just belief systems that we have is you just
- 9:22accept, like if you were color blind, you would kind of guess
- 9:25or assume that everyone else sees the world the same way that
- 9:27you do without really knowing that they that they do.
- 9:30And, and therefore it's difficult to really audit your
- 9:33own belief systems to figure out if they're empowering,
- 9:36disempowering, helpful or not just walking around like that.
- 9:39And that's why I think it's so important that you have people
- 9:42like us as therapists to kind of so well, look, you know, is that
- 9:45serving you? Does that really help you?
- 9:46Where did this even come from? And when you see that moment of
- 9:50kind of like, yeah, my, my mum used to say this a lot.
- 9:53And it's kind of like, OK, it's not even yours, It's there.
- 9:56And that might be even, you know, their parents belief.
- 9:58It's you get this kind of generational kind of ripple
- 10:00effect in terms of what you do now.
- 10:04Is it still hypnobirthing or is that initial kind of area
- 10:08rippled into other areas that now you tend to do a lot more of
- 10:12of other things? Yeah, it really expanded.
- 10:18I'm working with people with anxiety and I have a lot of
- 10:22clients that I'm helping them to release abuse from living with a
- 10:27narcissist, whether that be a parent of a partner, maybe even
- 10:32a child. That's very healing for them.
- 10:38The other things that I'm doing are working with groups.
- 10:40I'm also an instructor, so I certify people for hypnosis and
- 10:45I put some energy work in there if the person is is open to it.
- 10:49And I use Reiki and some other energetic modalities.
- 10:54And I'd like to bring all those tools together so that I can
- 10:58best serve that client. And everything is on an
- 11:01individual basis. So I'm working where their
- 11:05client is and they are able to come in and be heard.
- 11:10And I think that's the biggest point is a lot of people aren't
- 11:13being heard. They're not able to voice their
- 11:17truth. And to be able to be in a safe
- 11:19place, it allows them to become themselves and to tap into those
- 11:25pieces that do work for them and let go of that stuff that
- 11:30doesn't. I've done obviously some smoking
- 11:33and and weight loss and such, but I really do a lot of
- 11:38regression and I enjoy doing past life hypnosis as well.
- 11:45A lot of times people are just exploring, is that real for
- 11:47them? Is that right for them?
- 11:49Did they have and do they know if they had a past life and how
- 11:52to touch into that? Or it might be on a therapeutic
- 11:56level where they just aren't able to get to that origin in
- 12:01this life and so they just automatically go to another life
- 12:04and and clear that whether it is or it isn't, it really doesn't
- 12:08matter to me. It's the point that it is
- 12:10helpful for them and they can move on with their life and do
- 12:15those things that they need to do and be happy.
- 12:17I would agree with that 100% because I think people get
- 12:20bogged down, you know, when they, if they read the book, you
- 12:23know, many lives, many masters or they, they hear of
- 12:26experiences, it becomes obsessed.
- 12:28Is it real? Is it true?
- 12:29Are you actually going back to a previous life?
- 12:32But this is therapy, like the most important thing.
- 12:34Does it lead to a breakthrough? Does it lead to a change?
- 12:37And I find that whether it's real or not, it's a fantastic
- 12:40metaphor because we know humans can create real experiences in
- 12:45real time because that's what dreaming is like.
- 12:47It's not it's not, you know, people don't wake up and say, is
- 12:49that real? It's like it felt real while
- 12:51they were there. And I find that past life
- 12:54regression is so powerful. If people either don't know
- 12:57where the issue came from or they don't want to know where it
- 13:00came from. If they're, you know, if some
- 13:02something the horrible's happened, much better to deal
- 13:04with that in a different life because it's a form of
- 13:06disassociation, whereas, you know, you regress to a very
- 13:10horrible time. You know, there's ways of doing
- 13:13as you know, but you know, it can actually kind of trigger
- 13:15people into, you know, certain AB reactions and those kind of
- 13:18things. Where do you find past life
- 13:20regression to be particularly useful?
- 13:25I think a lot of it is is where it's affecting the person in
- 13:28this life. There's times that the
- 13:31individual may be triggered all of a sudden they can't get on a
- 13:34plane or they're afraid to go through a tunnel and never had
- 13:40that issue before. And that gives us the ability to
- 13:44work with them to go to the origin.
- 13:46Like I said, it might be something that might be have
- 13:50been heard by parents when you were a a tiny child.
- 13:55But if it was a past life, then you could tap into that origin
- 13:59and allow that individual to recognize, oh, OK, this happened
- 14:03then I may have carried it over from another life or I carried a
- 14:08belief over from somebody else when I was younger.
- 14:12I can change this. I can imagine and envision a
- 14:18whole new story to rewrite that story, and by working in that
- 14:22level of the subconscious mind, it allows that person to just
- 14:26shift it like that. I mean, it's so quick.
- 14:28It's so amazing to be able to watch somebody just be able to
- 14:33move into a position of standing in their power and strength.
- 14:38Yeah, it can be very empowering and I always kind of equate it a
- 14:41little bit. I don't know if you remember the
- 14:43the TV show from the 1980s called Quantum Leap where he
- 14:46used to kind of wake up in a different body and those kind of
- 14:49things that I kind of look. And the kind of connotation of
- 14:52that is that his work is done when he's resolved whatever the
- 14:56issue was in that life. And then he kind of goes on.
- 14:58And I think, you know, that really maps across with the
- 15:01essence of past life regression. You're going back to some kind
- 15:04of issue or unresolved issue for either wisdom, understanding, or
- 15:07some kind of a change. And somehow, almost magically,
- 15:11the actual life that has nothing to do with that past like gets
- 15:13better as a result of that change.
- 15:15It's almost like rippling through time, which is
- 15:17fantastic. Yeah, it is.
- 15:21It is amazing. And I, I do remember that show
- 15:25and in fact, I was enamored by that show.
- 15:28So, you know, I think, I think hypnosis came in much earlier
- 15:32than in my awareness. And just by understanding how
- 15:38the mind works and the power of the mind and knowing that we can
- 15:43use our mind as our greatest advocate, it allows me to be
- 15:48able to support clients. It allows all of us as hypnotist
- 15:52to support our clients and, and to be there and guide them and
- 15:57allow them to find those places where they can make that, I'll
- 16:02say, tweak it a little bit that they can move forward.
- 16:07And even if it happened in this life, it really doesn't need to
- 16:12be connected to anymore. So that, you know, when we do
- 16:15regression, it's about cutting, getting that energy of the
- 16:19trigger. So if I was bitten by a dog at 5
- 16:23and I'm 55 and I see a dog up the street, I don't need to be
- 16:27afraid that that dog's going to attack me because that's not
- 16:31happening. That's not who I am anymore.
- 16:35And it's really important to use our mind in ways that we can
- 16:40know very deeply within our core that we can change our
- 16:45perception, we can change our story.
- 16:48And I think one of the big things is to stop talking about
- 16:51the same thing over and over and over because or saying it to
- 16:56ourselves and our mind over and over and over because that's
- 16:59what keeps traumatizing us and the traumas not even happening.
- 17:04And hypnosis is that great tool to be able to just cut that,
- 17:08like cut the cord of that, you know?
- 17:11Yeah, couldn't agree more. We're we're in different parts
- 17:15of the planet. There you are in in the States,
- 17:18I'm here in in London, in England, but we're both going to
- 17:20be in Dublin in a few weeks time at the Irish Hypnotherapy
- 17:24Conference. Tell us what you're going to be
- 17:26talking about and what your what your presentation is all about.
- 17:30Well, I'm connecting the magic of empowerment and imagination,
- 17:38and my presentation is going to be having my the people that are
- 17:43attending to tap into their creativity, which is going to
- 17:47support them with the connection of their individual spirit that
- 17:52lies within. It's about touching into that
- 17:55higher self, listening to your intuition so that you have the
- 18:00connection to your guidance and it's going to be experiential
- 18:04and it's going to be playful because I'm very about being
- 18:08positive and uplifting and supporting.
- 18:10And so there's people that I'm going to be working with in
- 18:13Dublin, they're going to be able to take some of these pieces and
- 18:18use them perhaps with their clients or themselves.
- 18:22You know, I think we all learn from each other as hypnotists.
- 18:26But I will tell you, I learned so much from my clients.
- 18:29So it's it's like a very balanced and equal.
- 18:35And I think, you know, I'm, I'm always love, you know, resource
- 18:39states. And I think creativity is is one
- 18:42of those things that is kind of attributed to kind of artists
- 18:46and kind of big thinkers. But we're all creative.
- 18:49And the more that we harness that creativity, you know,
- 18:52sometimes that could be an idea, you know, some kind of epiphany,
- 18:55you know, a solution to a problem.
- 18:57And I think a lot of people that muscle isn't really being used
- 19:01that often. So anything to unlock more
- 19:03creativity, I think is great. And I, I think of intuition as
- 19:07kind of like the communication channel of the unconscious.
- 19:10It's, you know, for a lot of people, it's like a very quiet
- 19:13voice. They don't even pay attention to
- 19:15it unless it's something like anxiety or something like that.
- 19:18And then it's not necessarily helpful intuition.
- 19:20But when it is that kind of encouraging, supportive, like
- 19:24what a wonderful tool to have this like special superpower
- 19:27that is kind of like you're not doing it and it's, it's helping
- 19:30you make choices and, and those kind of things.
- 19:33When, when you think of the intuition, do you think of it
- 19:35more in terms of, because some people think of it as the NLP
- 19:39submodality? So like the gut feel or the the
- 19:42inner voice when, or is it a combination for you?
- 19:44What? Well, what is the primary
- 19:45channel that you think intuition is kind of at its strongest when
- 19:49it's helpful? I think for me, intuition is
- 19:53really listening to my higher power, my higher source.
- 19:59I believe that we all hold. The answers within ourselves,
- 20:04and I believe that we all have guidance and whatever that
- 20:08guidance that person is connected to, it might be
- 20:11Source, it might be Spirit, it might be God, it might be Mother
- 20:16Nature, it might be just the brain.
- 20:19It really doesn't matter. Ultimately, it's about really
- 20:23allowing ourselves to trust in that part of us and listen and
- 20:29to be guided by that and take those actions and steps that we
- 20:34can move forward and, and create that life or, or expand.
- 20:39I've been expanding my practice and I am doing that because my
- 20:44intuition, my gut is telling me this is what I need to do.
- 20:48I need to open up space so I can work with groups, so more people
- 20:51can work with me instead of just one-on-one and be of service.
- 20:56And so I'm trusting that. I have no idea how this is going
- 21:01to play out. I do know that there's a reason
- 21:04and I just followed through on it and I know that I will have
- 21:07that answer when it comes. And I think the great thing
- 21:10about those times when you do trust your intuition, it does
- 21:14really, you know, give you that kind of positive reinforcement.
- 21:18You know, most of the time it's kind of like you're not really
- 21:20sure if it's the right decision, but, you know, I'm going to go
- 21:22with my gut. You do and nine times out of 10,
- 21:25you actually get really rewarded for that.
- 21:27It was exactly the right thing to do because your unconscious
- 21:30can process way more information than your conscious logical
- 21:32mind. So it's like it's taking, it's
- 21:34almost like an artificial intelligence.
- 21:35It's taking everything in and kind of guiding you, which I
- 21:37think is awesome. You're going to be doing a, an
- 21:42experience, a hypnosis session for us.
- 21:45Before you do that though, if people are curious to learn more
- 21:48about you, your training, or working with you direct, what's
- 21:53the best way that they can, let's say, find out more
- 21:56information or check out your website, your socials?
- 22:00Oh, they could check out my website because I am in the
- 22:03States and I know probably some people are going to be seeing
- 22:06this outside of the states. My aunt my website is Allentown,
- 22:10ALLENTOW and Hypnosis dot com and my phone number is
- 22:18610-737-9560. They can text me, I'm sure,
- 22:26reach me on WhatsApp, but I'm really we don't in the states
- 22:30use WhatsApp a lot, but you can always send an e-mail at
- 22:35hypnobrenda88@yahoo.com as well. Perfect.
- 22:39We got a few different things. We'll make sure they're in the
- 22:40links as well. So tell us about this hypnosis
- 22:43you're about to do. You know, just give it a a bit
- 22:45of a tee up for us. So it's, it's a vagal nerve
- 22:49hypnosis technique that I want to teach.
- 22:51And it's, it's very simple and it's very, very, very profound.
- 22:56So I'm just going to ask you to take a nice deep breath and let
- 23:03it go. And now as you take your next
- 23:10deep breath, inhaling, roll your eyes up to the ceiling and hold
- 23:16it and exhale. As you exhale, roll your eyes
- 23:22down to the floor. And now close your eyes and
- 23:30inhale once again with your eyelids closed.
- 23:33Roll your eyelid, your eyeballs all the way up as if you're
- 23:36looking out the top of your head and hold them up and letting go,
- 23:46exhaling and rolling your eyes down as if you're looking out
- 23:50through your belly button to the floor.
- 23:55And one more time, just taking a nice gentle breath in, rolling
- 24:00your eyes all the way up with your eyelids closed, looking out
- 24:04the top of your head, holding them up and exhaling, rolling
- 24:10your eyeballs down as if you're looking out through your belly
- 24:14button to the ground and feel your body just relaxing.
- 24:23Any noises in the background just help you to relax even
- 24:27more. You're supported, you're safe,
- 24:33and with every inhalation, your body relaxes more and more.
- 24:40It may even feel as if your muscles are beginning to melt
- 24:45and letting go. And imagine right now a
- 24:51beautiful light could be any color you choose, A beautiful
- 24:55light coming down from the sky, enveloping you, cradling you,
- 25:05feeling a sense of peace and content and relaxation.
- 25:14And in this space, just allowing yourself to connect with your
- 25:19heart, your beautiful heart, and ask your heart right now, what
- 25:30can you do to allow you to have more joy or peace, perhaps
- 25:39happiness in your life? Just imagine your heart speaking
- 25:52to you. And as your heart is connecting
- 26:09with you, perhaps it's a feeling annoying, maybe you hear it as a
- 26:15voice. But your heart is beating all
- 26:20the time, taking care of you, keeping you alive, supporting
- 26:26you. And perhaps your heart is just
- 26:36allowing you to know it's about taking better care of you, doing
- 26:45something good and right for you.
- 26:50Maybe it's about taking some time and reading a book.
- 26:57Or perhaps it's about letting go of a situation that is causing
- 27:03stress. You can think of your heart as
- 27:10intuition, that part of you that knows all the right answers for
- 27:16you and allowing yourself to absorb.
- 27:23And maybe it's not a way that you're used to.
- 27:27Maybe you just allow yourself to be in a pleasant, peaceful place
- 27:36right now and that's all you need.
- 27:44And as you are relaxing, just know that you are supported,
- 27:50that you have great intuition, this part that is your higher
- 27:56self, your all knowing self. And know that you are worthy of
- 28:06unlimited listness. You are so worthy and you get to
- 28:13choose. You get to choose to do those
- 28:18things that you need and want for you by taking care of you,
- 28:23by loving you, by saying yes to you, honoring your truth and
- 28:37walking the path you desire. And just know that you can do
- 28:48this process whenever you want, as long as you're not driving or
- 28:53using some kind of instrument or anything that's going to harm
- 28:58you. But just take a deep breath,
- 29:02sink down into yourself. Imagine that light around you,
- 29:08enveloping you, cradling you, and connecting with your heart.
- 29:17Because you know all the answers, you can tap into your
- 29:26truth at any time. So I'm going to count to 3, and
- 29:36when I reach the number three, you'll come back.
- 29:40Take a moment and thank your heart.
- 29:43Thank your higher being and allow yourself to meld in
- 29:48gratitude. Gratitude for your life,
- 29:57Gratitude for just being, Gratitude for your heart, your
- 30:06body, and everything that's in your world.
- 30:13Beginning to come back now. One, feeling the room around you
- 30:17through, 2 eyes are beginning to open and three, coming all the
- 30:23way back. Just feeling really relaxed,
- 30:26really calm, very, very peaceful.
- 30:30Raise your hands up in the air and stretch your body and say
- 30:34yes. Yes, that was great, Brenda.
- 30:41That was a really, really relaxing, really nice
- 30:43experience. And for people listening at
- 30:47home, what, what would you hope that they get from from that
- 30:50experience? What's the key?
- 30:54The key is to stop to, to get the mind calm, to be able to
- 31:02give themselves just a little bit of time, which is loving,
- 31:07very loving to the self. It's something that most people
- 31:11aren't doing. They there's, at least in the
- 31:15US, there's this big concept of you need to take care of
- 31:18everybody else. You come second.
- 31:21And we end up not taking care of ourselves at all.
- 31:24So it's just about taking those few moments and bringing
- 31:28yourself into that peacefulness. And sometimes, you know me, we
- 31:33may not get answers at that moment, but I've had many times
- 31:38when I just took time, gave my mind a break, relaxed my body,
- 31:44enjoyed being in that. And then maybe five hours later,
- 31:48I'm in the shower and I, I get that answer.
- 31:50It's like, got it. So we're just giving ourselves
- 31:54that openness just by taking a little time of loving ourself.
- 32:00Absolutely, and I think a lot of people are in this kind of
- 32:03constant hectic, you know, kind of stressful state all, you
- 32:07know, lots of cortisol, lots of those things and that they just
- 32:10nerve is just kind of over stimulated.
- 32:12It's just calming everything down I think becomes almost like
- 32:14an Oasis in the desert, which you know, a lot of people really
- 32:17need that, that kind of little break.
- 32:20That was wonderful. We're both going to be at the
- 32:22Irish Hypnotherapy Conference. If you'd like to see Brenda or
- 32:25myself or any of the other amazing speakers, there are
