  This week, we're joined by Tammy Bowsa.

  Originally from Argentina, Tammy grew up in Paraguay and
• 0:48
  Mozambique, where her parents served.
• 0:50
  Through the Church of the Nazarene, she studied
• 0:52
  intercultural studies, earned her MBA, and later served with
• 0:56
  Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in Jordan, working
• 0:59
  with local and refugee students. Since May 2025, she has served
• 1:05
  as the Regional NMI Coordinator for Eurasia.

  We are grateful to have Tammy with us this week as she shares
• 1:12
  about the five NMI priorities. Hi, my name is Tammy Bowsa and I
• 1:18
  am the Regional NMI Coordinator for the Eurasia Region.
• 1:23
  The Nazarene Church has always been a missional church, and
• 1:27
  it's exciting to know that there are so many Nazarene churches
• 1:31
  all around the world. NMI wants every local church to
• 1:35
  know that they're not alone, but that they're also part of a
• 1:39
  larger family. That is why NMI is the Global
• 1:43
  Missions Advocate in every local church, nurturing a spirit of
• 1:47
  missions and mobilizing into action, impacting people around
• 1:52
  the world. Following our Nazarene Mission
• 1:57
  International Identity Statement which reflects who we are, we
• 2:01
  also have 5 areas of impact which reflect what we do.
• 2:05
  So this week I will be walking with you and explaining each one
• 2:10
  of them. So let me mention them briefly.
• 2:13
  The first one is prayer. Number 2 is Engaging Children
• 2:17
  and Youth and missions #3 is Caring connection #4 is the
• 2:23
  World Evangelism Fund. And the last one, number 5 is
• 2:27
  Alabaster. So today we will be talking
• 2:30
  about prayer. First, let's go to the Bible.
• 2:34
  So in Matthew 1820, it says for where two or three gather in my
• 2:40
  name, there am I with them. NMI has two global events where
• 2:46
  we gather together to pray for things happening in our world.
• 2:51
  And also all the different ministries of our church.
• 2:55
  There is one happening in March, which is Global Week of Prayer.
• 3:00
  This year, Global Week of Prayer is from March 1st to seven.
• 3:04
  And every single day we will be praying for a different region.
• 3:08
  For example, one day we will be praying for the Africa region
• 3:12
  and then the second day we will be praying for the Eurasia
• 3:16
  region and then another day for the South America region because
• 3:19
  we believe in the power of prayer.
• 3:22
  Also, there are adult and children booklets that can guide
• 3:27
  you and help you through the global week of prayer.
• 3:30
  So in this booklets you will find prayer requests and praises
• 3:34
  from each of the regions. It also has activities for the
• 3:38
  kids to learn more about what God is doing all around the
• 3:42
  world. Please join us in praying for
• 3:45
  all six regions and what God is doing in each of them.
• 3:51
  Also in December, we have the 24 hours of prayer.
• 3:56
  This happens over Zoom and connects all six regions.
• 4:00
  We take time to share praises and also to pray for the
• 4:05
  different needs that are happening around the world.
• 4:09
  So these are two wonderful ways that you can connect with your
• 4:12
  global family and pray for what God is doing in the Nazarene
• 4:17
  Church and all the different countries through all the
• 4:21
  different leaders and ministries and the people that he has
• 4:26
  called. And we thank God for all the
• 4:30
  wonderful things that he will continue to do.
• 4:34
  Let me read a couple more passages that talk about prayer
• 4:38
  in Jeremiah 33. Three, it says, call to me and I
• 4:42
  will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things
• 4:46
  you do not know. Also in Colossians 4/2 it says
• 4:51
  devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
• 4:56
  In Mark 11/24 it says, Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for
• 5:02
  in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be
• 5:06
  yours. So God is waiting for us to pray
• 5:10
  and to continuously be in communication with Him.
• 5:14
  Also, I was talking with a district NMI president, she's a
• 5:18
  district NMI president of Spain, and she was sharing with me that
• 5:23
  the Spain district decided to pray for seven months before
• 5:28
  they have their camp. Last year.
• 5:30
  This camp was not just for the people in Spain but also a
• 5:35
  gather several countries from the West Medfield and it was
• 5:39
  amazing to see what God did there.
• 5:42
  And she also mentioned that a week before the camp, they also
• 5:46
  prayed through Zoom every single day.
• 5:49
  That week 1 Church of the Nazarene in Spain was in charge
• 5:54
  of hosting that day and they continuously prayed for this
• 5:58
  event because they believe in the power of prayer.
• 6:01
  And it's wonderful when we can gather together and pray for
• 6:04
  what God is doing in our world. Also, we need to continue to
• 6:09
  pray for the lost, for the broken, for peace, and for all
• 6:14
  the different things that are happening in our world.
• 6:17
  We don't understand all of the things, but we know that God is
• 6:21
  at work even in the midst of hard times.
• 6:24
  So let's join our global family and be part of these prayer
• 6:29
  movements. And let's continue to pray in
• 6:32
  our local churches, with our congregations, with our youth
• 6:35
  group. Let's continue to pray for His
• 6:37
  mission, for missions all around the world.
• 6:42
  And to close this time together, let me pray for us.
• 6:46
  God, we give you thanks for loving us and for your love for
• 6:51
  humanity. Allow us to be instruments that
• 6:55
  we may continue to remember those that need you, even not
• 7:01
  just the ones in our own congregation, but all around the
• 7:05
  world. Remind us to continuously pray
• 7:08
  for peace, for the areas where they're experiencing war.
• 7:13
  Remind us to pray for safety, for the areas where there is
• 7:19
  instability, insecurity, and pain.
• 7:23
  God, remind us to pray for our leaders, our regional leaders,
• 7:28
  our field strategy coordinators, our superintendents, our
• 7:33
  pastors, our youth leaders, and everyone that is serving you.
• 7:39
  And we want to thank you for this global family and that we
• 7:44
  are not alone, that we are one of the many Nazarene churches
• 7:48
  all around the world. And that just like how you're at
• 7:52
  work in my country, in my local church, you're also working in
• 7:58
  other areas. And your name you pray.
