Son Charged in Mother’s Fatal Attack | Orange County News
A 36-year-old man, Safford James Wolfson, faces murder charges after allegedly killing his 61-year-old mother, Angela Caprioli, in their Laguna Beach home. Found with severe blunt force trauma, Caprioli was visiting from Maine. Wolfson’s grandmother discovered the scene—broken furniture and Wolfson covered in blood—and police responded on July 20th. Wolfson was treated for self-inflicted neck wounds. The pair ran a sober living facility together. He’s jailed on $1 million bail, facing 26 years to life if convicted.
