- 0:01Speaker 1: Because you, that's why is a founding member of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to episode number insanely high number b F.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Y t W number three digits, not three digits.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I haven't it for yet, dear Godevy.
- 0:51Speaker 5: By the time, uh would be awesome, you'll be we
- 0:59Speaker 5: need will be forty my forties, way.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Past my prime, but in my forties.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Over the hill.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Uh, welcome, welcome to We're just going to be a
- 1:13Speaker 4: chill show. We were just going to max and relax
- 1:16Speaker 4: and enjoy each other's company and have some fun and
- 1:18Speaker 4: hopefully you enjoy it. But no games, No steaks, I mean,
- 1:21Speaker 4: they're never worse stakes to begin with.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I want you could do steaks? Is this all you?
- 1:29Speaker 6: Men?
- 1:29Speaker 2: How you do?
- 1:30Speaker 1: You?
- 1:30Speaker 7: Do?
- 1:31Speaker 3: You?
- 1:31Speaker 2: We should?
- 1:34Speaker 3: I prefer mind well done.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm medium, well guy. I gotta keep some of that flavor.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, my dad is a well done guy, though
- 1:42Speaker 4: he would absolutely and more medium.
- 1:44Speaker 8: Well. No, I used to be like medium, rare went
- 1:47Speaker 8: the other way. Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 3: My problem is because I have lockjaw. I can't be
- 1:51Speaker 3: sitting there chewing all day.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they just stuck like this all day.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 4: My dad loves fish like my Dad loves sticks like
- 2:03Speaker 4: super super well done to the point where it's like
- 2:07Speaker 4: like charred on the outside and like and to me
- 2:10Speaker 4: that that's when the meat gets flavorless. So I'm like,
- 2:13Speaker 4: I'll take it one step down from that. I'll go
- 2:15Speaker 4: meeting Well, it's still cooked thoroughly, but it's.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Not like.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Not like chewing through chewing through a book, the fibers
- 2:27Speaker 4: that meter like pages.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Just like I need to have some moisture in there still,
- 2:33Speaker 1: Like definitely, I don't get me wrong. You can put
- 2:36Speaker 1: a char on it from like a grill. You can
- 2:38Speaker 1: do that without fucking like well done.
- 2:42Speaker 8: And I yeah, And.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm like I do not mind in my prime like lately,
- 2:47Speaker 1: like dude, not my prime lately, my elder.
- 2:54Speaker 8: Super prime changing names.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I am an older prime.
- 3:01Speaker 8: Goku will never defeat me.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I've noticed that I've liked more char and more pepper
- 3:10Speaker 1: and stuff on my foods lately, so I've been actually
- 3:13Speaker 1: like jarring almost everything, and I'm like, this is kind
- 3:15Speaker 1: of nice, still having a moist and like squishy on
- 3:18Speaker 1: the inside, but I'm really like, wow, my tastebounds are changing. Man.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:23Speaker 4: I also found that like sauce makes the most impact
- 3:26Speaker 4: like medium well for me, like it definitely helps out
- 3:29Speaker 4: like a lower like medium. I wouldn't go any lower
- 3:32Speaker 4: than medium, honestly. But like when you get to like
- 3:35Speaker 4: well done, it feels like the sauce is.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Just like a coating. Yeah, it doesn't really seep into
- 3:40Speaker 2: the meat, you know what I mean?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's already leather well done.
- 3:50Speaker 2: If you're actively chewing leather, I'm afraid you've cooked.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It too, sir. I wish to have my burger hide.
- 3:58Speaker 8: High.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I wanted to be as tough as the hide of
- 4:04Speaker 3: the creature you took this meat off.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Oh man, how do we get started to meet? The stakes?
- 4:12Speaker 8: Are hide there?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Stevie wants there to be?
- 4:19Speaker 8: Right now, we should do a steak.
- 4:23Speaker 3: All I learned is that my choice of medium well
- 4:25Speaker 3: was probably I mean, well done, was probably a dumb idea.
- 4:29Speaker 8: No oh yeah, well wrong, just not like to a
- 4:34Speaker 8: crisp and you can't.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'll still eat a stake, well, I will too.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 2: If it's pasted well, no, thank you.
- 4:40Speaker 8: No no, no, if it's if it's.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Like, absolutely not under no circumstances.
- 4:44Speaker 8: Charcoal Brick, he's a gamer and.
- 4:47Speaker 2: A storyteller, and he was my youngest friend. It's hoggy.
- 4:51Speaker 2: He's a I feel sometimes like I'm running out of questions, but.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Thank God, like like I want to ask one, but
- 5:11Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure I've.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Asked it before.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I think I've tanked enough questions from you.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna take another one. So, uh, is there
- 5:20Speaker 2: is there?
- 5:20Speaker 4: Is there a video game or or a movie or
- 5:24Speaker 4: book or whatever that you've been meaning to get to
- 5:27Speaker 4: and you just haven't and and finally you did and
- 5:30Speaker 4: it wasn't worth it.
- 5:33Speaker 8: Oh?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, this is wow. Which game was it? I'm
- 5:38Speaker 3: trying to remember it, like I so Steam's got out
- 5:42Speaker 3: their sales going on like crazy, so I've just been
- 5:44Speaker 3: grabbing ship left and right. I'm like, oh, this is
- 5:46Speaker 3: really cool. Yeah yeah what game did I boot up?
- 5:50Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, yeah, this game is not as
- 5:52Speaker 3: good as I thought it was.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Got One? Oh it was.
- 5:57Speaker 3: It was actually Dwarf Fortress. It was so cool to
- 6:02Speaker 3: watch it play out and everything like that. I'm like, yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 3: this was I'm like like this looks really cool and
- 6:08Speaker 3: with all this random ship that can go on, I'm like,
- 6:10Speaker 3: this is really neat. I got the game, I bought it,
- 6:13Speaker 3: I played it. I'm just like, oh, this is way
- 6:16Speaker 3: more complicated than I thought it was. Like the person
- 6:18Speaker 3: I was watching it made made it look easy to play,
- 6:21Speaker 3: Like it is not easy to play. I'm like, oh, Ship, Well,
- 6:24Speaker 3: I can either sit here and take the time to
- 6:26Speaker 3: learn the game, or I can play another game that's
- 6:30Speaker 3: actually good.
- 6:31Speaker 4: I genuinely think your time would be better spent just
- 6:35Speaker 4: learning to code.
- 6:37Speaker 2: This is especially Door is complex to a point.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Where like you need if you can learn that game,
- 6:47Speaker 4: you could learn to make your own games.
- 6:49Speaker 8: Honestly, Oh, Ship, is that that? Is that the goal
- 6:51Speaker 8: of it or No, Jesus, it's literally like learning.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Very It's just a very complex strategy EMU later. It's
- 7:00Speaker 4: just there's there's a lot to it basically, and if
- 7:06Speaker 4: you if you have the mental capacity to absorb that
- 7:08Speaker 4: much and to know it backwards and forwards, like some
- 7:11Speaker 4: of these players are, Dude, just just learn to code
- 7:15Speaker 4: and make money.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Honestly, Yeah, it's complicated, or you just get.
- 7:21Speaker 4: A job programming. Either way it's money. So anyway, Yeah, no,
- 7:26Speaker 4: I completely get it. Uh.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And he's a veteran and a podcaster, and he was
- 7:30Speaker 2: a veteran podcaster he still is.
- 7:32Speaker 8: It's Stevie it's me.
- 7:41Speaker 3: It was I don't know where.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I think I just got caught up in.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 3: He started switching up with.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Because they have the same rhythm.
- 7:53Speaker 8: Stevie.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Is there a video game or a movie or.
- 7:56Speaker 4: A book or something that you uh have been meaning
- 7:59Speaker 4: to into and then you finally did and it wasn't
- 8:02Speaker 4: worth it?
- 8:03Speaker 8: Yes?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Also, like Augie, there was this Steam sale and I
- 8:09Speaker 1: was like, I got a couple of games for a
- 8:10Speaker 1: couple of bucks. Actually bought one for him thinking it
- 8:12Speaker 1: was gonna be really fun. It's called Prison Architect.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So the concept is pretty much like a normal builder
- 8:21Speaker 1: or whatever, a sim builder. You just build your prison
- 8:24Speaker 1: up and you gotta like have the special cells for
- 8:26Speaker 1: the certain people in the cafeteria's kitchen staff, all that
- 8:30Speaker 1: the ward, and.
- 8:31Speaker 8: You just gotta manage it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: In the hour I tried playing while Aggie and I
- 8:37Speaker 1: were streaming the game to each other through Discord. I've
- 8:41Speaker 1: restarted it five or six times because I couldn't quite
- 8:45Speaker 1: I understand the concept, but it didn't move.
- 8:49Speaker 8: Certain things didn't move fast enough, and everything else moved
- 8:51Speaker 8: too quick for me.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So it's like whenever I tried to get everything finished
- 8:56Speaker 1: and built like all the prisoners are here. Great now
- 8:58Speaker 1: they're all outside with all like the supplies.
- 9:02Speaker 8: And the workers, and I'm like, let's restart again. But yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 8: I gave up after the hours.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I mean, I'll probably try to get into it again,
- 9:10Speaker 1: but I was like all hyped because it looked so
- 9:12Speaker 1: fun in all the videos.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's one of those games where you have to
- 9:15Speaker 3: basically pause, do everything you need to do, and then
- 9:19Speaker 3: unpouse if you lit it, yeah, and then just sit
- 9:22Speaker 3: there and watch it play out and then adjust accordingly,
- 9:24Speaker 3: because if you try to do anything while you're letting
- 9:28Speaker 3: the game go, it's it's impossible. You're gonna deal with
- 9:33Speaker 3: riots on a daily basis because you can't feed them
- 9:39Speaker 3: because the toilets are clogged and you don't have enough janitors,
- 9:42Speaker 3: like they.
- 9:43Speaker 8: Need toilets that work and ship.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But yeah, I was a little upset, but you know whatever,
- 9:51Speaker 1: that's fair.
- 9:51Speaker 8: At least it was unsale, man.
- 9:54Speaker 2: That's pretty much I supported some of.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I feel pretty much like the game was difficult for us,
- 10:03Speaker 3: but doesn't know shame targe, No, no, no.
- 10:05Speaker 8: It's watch other people play it.
- 10:08Speaker 4: And finally I am your host pantsil Saran hit it.
- 10:23Speaker 2: He'll take some stones for a laugh.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, man, kick it for me. U. And this
- 10:34Speaker 4: answer might piss some people off. It's Doom twenty sixteen.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Doom. Oh okay.
- 10:42Speaker 4: It was the first the first new Doom play since
- 10:45Speaker 4: Doom three, and I I really enjoyed like the fast
- 10:50Speaker 4: and frenzied combat, the the clambering, the parkour elements I
- 10:55Speaker 4: could kind of live without, though I did enjoy some
- 10:59Speaker 4: of like the hidden bits when you would find the
- 11:01Speaker 4: extra levels and the little.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Doom guy double.
- 11:06Speaker 4: And some of them were like really clever, like you
- 11:08Speaker 4: had to be really clever to figure him out, and
- 11:10Speaker 4: they felt good.
- 11:10Speaker 2: When you figured him out.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Yeah, And then I got to like the part before
- 11:17Speaker 4: the end, like the boss before the final boss was
- 11:20Speaker 4: like this really drawn out but satisfying boss because you
- 11:25Speaker 4: face one of them and you take him down and
- 11:27Speaker 4: you're like, whow okay, that wasn't too bad, and then
- 11:30Speaker 4: two more spawn and you're like fuck struggling to like
- 11:35Speaker 4: I had a sliver of health left. I had like
- 11:39Speaker 4: two health left when I took down the second one.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And I was like that was awesome, you know.
- 11:47Speaker 4: And it's from there that the game kind of shipped
- 11:50Speaker 4: itself out like the final level was was okay, but.
- 11:55Speaker 2: The last boss was a disappointment.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Like I just I absolutely destroyed him, like the the
- 12:01Speaker 4: it wasn't quite the iraq Noo demon, but it was,
- 12:03Speaker 4: you know, just kind of a large ish, sort of
- 12:06Speaker 4: same ish sort of thing and had a big pulsing
- 12:08Speaker 4: brain and Whatnotuh, And I took it down and then
- 12:11Speaker 4: the ending was so unsatisfying and it actually just made
- 12:15Speaker 4: me mad.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I was like, you you seriously punk Doom guy like this?
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 12:21Speaker 2: I was.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I was genuinely angry. I'm like, what did I just
- 12:24Speaker 4: spend all this time for? Like, honestly, I was.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I was mad. I was just I was angry, and
- 12:29Speaker 2: I was like the fuck. Uh.
- 12:33Speaker 4: So now I've been playing Doom Eternal, and I'm hoping
- 12:36Speaker 4: it's not gonna be the same reaction. Although the first
- 12:39Speaker 4: thing I noticed is that they have turned Doohim now
- 12:41Speaker 4: almost fully into a three D platformer with FPS elements.
- 12:47Speaker 4: This is what it feels like, Oh yeah, because now
- 12:51Speaker 4: you can double jump, you can dash in mid air,
- 12:56Speaker 4: you can clamber onto walls, so now there's a lot
- 12:59Speaker 4: of just.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Loading walls in space.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know, just the bottomless pit underneath you
- 13:06Speaker 4: and you got a double jump and then double dash
- 13:09Speaker 4: and clamber on it the last second to this wall
- 13:13Speaker 4: like out in the middle of the space. And for
- 13:14Speaker 4: a guy who has a fear of heights, this sucks.
- 13:18Speaker 2: This sucks. I hate falling every single time. It drives
- 13:22Speaker 2: me nuts. I don't know.
- 13:25Speaker 4: I don't know why I am continuing to play it
- 13:27Speaker 4: at this point except for the fact that that hunting
- 13:31Speaker 4: down every single secret is so satisfying because one of
- 13:35Speaker 4: the smartest things they did was like they made like
- 13:37Speaker 4: one of the cheapest upgrades you can do to your suit,
- 13:40Speaker 4: show you where all the hidden secrets are. Oh cool,
- 13:43Speaker 4: so you can check the map so I can see
- 13:46Speaker 4: that motherfucker, but I can't get to it.
- 13:48Speaker 8: And I'm like, so you just see it like a
- 13:51Speaker 8: blip in emptiness.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's just hanging emptiness and you're like, the
- 13:55Speaker 4: hell do I get over there?
- 13:56Speaker 8: You know?
- 13:57Speaker 4: And so like eventually you figure it out and you go, ah.
- 14:00Speaker 4: So finishing a level with one hundred percent completion is.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Genuinely very Satisha.
- 14:06Speaker 4: So anyway, that's that's the Doom twenty sixteen is the
- 14:12Speaker 4: one I would label as being disappointing.
- 14:14Speaker 2: But Doom Maternal so far has been very solid.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And also Doom twenty sixteen does have the snap map stuff,
- 14:20Speaker 4: which I didn't get into.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but players.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Can easily make levels and shit, and I was like
- 14:24Speaker 4: it that there's got to be some cool content in there,
- 14:27Speaker 4: but I fuck me if I'm gonna know how to
- 14:30Speaker 4: find it. So I didn't even really bother, just moved
- 14:34Speaker 4: on to Doom Maternal and was like, let's check this out.
- 14:38Speaker 8: Yes, good call.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Uh.
- 14:40Speaker 4: And one other game that I got into that was
- 14:42Speaker 4: not a disappointment at all.
- 14:44Speaker 2: It kind of was, but it kind of wasn't.
- 14:47Speaker 4: It's called Nobody Wants to Die, and it's got it's
- 14:51Speaker 4: like a it's I want to say, steampunk ish future.
- 14:55Speaker 4: It it's very it's very Blade Runner esque, Like the
- 15:00Speaker 4: main character is a detective who just like basically hangs
- 15:04Speaker 4: out in New York City in like twenty three seventy
- 15:08Speaker 4: nine or whatever. Uh, and like it like this skyscrapers
- 15:14Speaker 4: just go on forever and also goes on forever.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's very fulfillment.
- 15:21Speaker 4: But but all of the all of the tech has
- 15:24Speaker 4: this retro futuristic vibe, Like the cars are like these
- 15:28Speaker 4: nineteen thirties vehicles, but they've got hover pads installed where
- 15:32Speaker 4: the wheels should be. It's very it's it's a neat
- 15:37Speaker 4: noir feel. It's very noir. Uh, and the noir atmosphere
- 15:42Speaker 4: is excellent. It's it's very cool. The main character monologues
- 15:46Speaker 4: to himself all the time. It's great. The thing that
- 15:51Speaker 4: that dials back the game for me is how he
- 15:54Speaker 4: and his partner are just non stop swearing. Oh really,
- 15:57Speaker 4: just constantly cursing, like f bombs every other thing. And
- 16:01Speaker 4: I'm like, this is like noir dialogue is supposed to
- 16:06Speaker 4: have like a kind of a poetic flow to it.
- 16:08Speaker 4: You know, she slunk into my office like a slinky skunk.
- 16:14Speaker 2: You know what better than that? Better?
- 16:20Speaker 8: You know?
- 16:28Speaker 2: But you know what I mean, right right?
- 16:30Speaker 8: No, I got you. I got you like you you
- 16:33Speaker 8: never wrote a book.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I'm just saying that's funny, you know, It's fine. Like
- 16:39Speaker 4: I said, a better a better rater than me, can
- 16:41Speaker 4: do a better noir thing. But I was on the spot.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 16:48Speaker 4: It's supposed to have a, you know, just this easy
- 16:50Speaker 4: kind of flow, and it's it's broken up by the cures.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Going fuck me, fuck best, fuck you?
- 16:55Speaker 8: What the fuck?
- 16:56Speaker 2: Ship God? Damn it, motherfucker. Like it kind of kills
- 17:01Speaker 2: the mood a little bit, right.
- 17:04Speaker 4: But here's the thing, Like I know that this was
- 17:06Speaker 4: translated because like you can tell, like the the the
- 17:12Speaker 4: development house was like must have been somewhere in Europe.
- 17:15Speaker 8: Like they've all got very European.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Polish, Russian names. I can't tell.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I don't know, but they're obviously very very good with
- 17:25Speaker 4: graphics because everything is gorgeous, like absolutely gorgeous. And one
- 17:30Speaker 4: of my favorite things, one of the conceits of the game,
- 17:32Speaker 4: the reason how you do the investigating is you go
- 17:35Speaker 4: to a crime scene and he has this this thing
- 17:37Speaker 4: on his wrist called a reconstructor, and it basically reconstructs
- 17:42Speaker 4: the crime the more you learn about it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: So if you're if you.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Find you know, the dead body hanging from like a cable,
- 17:51Speaker 4: you're like, all right, where did the cable come from?
- 17:53Speaker 4: And then you find where the cable came from, and
- 17:55Speaker 4: so it reconstructs that part of the crime. So you
- 17:59Speaker 4: see in real time, and you can you can move
- 18:01Speaker 4: time forward and back however you want, and you can
- 18:04Speaker 4: watch the character go and grab the cable from that
- 18:07Speaker 4: panel and then you know, carry on upstairs. And then
- 18:10Speaker 4: in that carrying on upstairs, you stop and you find
- 18:12Speaker 4: something else which gives you more stuff and adds to
- 18:15Speaker 4: the whole thing. So as you're going along, you're jumping
- 18:18Speaker 4: back and forth through time. And then when you're done,
- 18:20Speaker 4: if you want, the game doesn't make you do this,
- 18:22Speaker 4: but you can actually watch the whole crime from beginning
- 18:25Speaker 4: to end happen right in front of your face. Oh wow,
- 18:29Speaker 4: just watch the whole thing. And when I tell you
- 18:33Speaker 4: that some of the stuff they came up with is
- 18:36Speaker 4: absolutely insane and harrowing, like like the very first crime
- 18:42Speaker 4: scene you find, it appears very much like this gentleman
- 18:47Speaker 4: lost his fucking mind. Like it starts with, he's got
- 18:54Speaker 4: like a like a bloody mark on his back. You
- 18:56Speaker 4: don't know where he got that from. He's bashing his
- 18:59Speaker 4: face into like the the aquarium that's built into the floor,
- 19:04Speaker 4: and you know he's he's blooding himself. And then the
- 19:07Speaker 4: main character thinks that there's somebody there that have figured
- 19:10Speaker 4: out a way to block themselves from being reconstructed. And
- 19:15Speaker 4: then he you know, he just gets up from bashing
- 19:17Speaker 4: himself on the floor, grabs the cable, goes up the stairs,
- 19:21Speaker 4: throws it around the thing, rips it around his neck
- 19:23Speaker 4: and then just launches off through the railing like so
- 19:28Speaker 4: you main character.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Thinks he's been pushed. The whole thing looks like he
- 19:32Speaker 2: did this himself.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Dang, like the whole thing, and you're just like, eh,
- 19:37Speaker 4: what is happening here? Yeah, and it gets worse, like
- 19:40Speaker 4: the later crime scenes are horrifying.
- 19:44Speaker 8: Oh damn.
- 19:46Speaker 4: And it all has to do with and the main
- 19:49Speaker 4: the main conceit of the plot is that in this time,
- 19:55Speaker 4: people can transfer to other bodies.
- 19:57Speaker 8: Oh well, what the fuck?
- 19:59Speaker 2: Really?
- 19:59Speaker 4: Yeah, so you have to you have to arrange like
- 20:03Speaker 4: a subscription by the time you're twenty one, otherwise you
- 20:06Speaker 4: go on a list, you know, So you have to
- 20:08Speaker 4: have enough money. So if you're poor, you're fucked. And
- 20:12Speaker 4: rich people can just take your body when they die.
- 20:15Speaker 8: Oh fuck them, yeah, exactly right, So you destroy your
- 20:19Speaker 8: body so they can't get flock them.
- 20:21Speaker 4: That is considered a crime, and then they'd like put
- 20:24Speaker 4: you in memory jail or whatever the fuck. However they
- 20:28Speaker 4: take you out of your body. It's it's a substance
- 20:30Speaker 4: called it apparently contains like your memories and your soul
- 20:33Speaker 4: or whatnot, and none of it seems feasible, like like
- 20:39Speaker 4: this probably this probably could never happen, but as a
- 20:45Speaker 4: thought experiment and is a thing to drives the plot,
- 20:47Speaker 4: it's pretty it's pretty interesting, and it leads to some
- 20:51Speaker 4: absolutely fucked up crimes. Like you know, for a while
- 20:56Speaker 4: towards the end, you start thinking, oh, the killer is
- 20:59Speaker 4: someone who jumped into another body and just keeps jumping bodies,
- 21:04Speaker 4: so you have no idea who they could be. At
- 21:07Speaker 4: any given moment. You're like, oh, that's fucking sick.
- 21:10Speaker 8: Chasing one killer multiple Yeah, well.
- 21:13Speaker 4: You're chasing at least one killer, at least you think
- 21:16Speaker 4: you are, but you have no idea what body they
- 21:19Speaker 4: could do. They could just keep changing, you know. So
- 21:23Speaker 4: that was a fascinating game. There's no like action to it.
- 21:26Speaker 4: It's all just like solving these crimes and figuring and
- 21:29Speaker 4: also learning more and more about the characters as you go.
- 21:33Speaker 4: So it's kind of a story based game. But you
- 21:34Speaker 4: can play through the whole.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Thing in about four or five hours like that.
- 21:37Speaker 4: So if you can get it for like ten or
- 21:40Speaker 4: twenty bucks, I say it's totally worth it. I had
- 21:42Speaker 4: a great time with it. There's four different endings depending
- 21:45Speaker 4: on choices you make through the game that unlock new
- 21:49Speaker 4: dialogue options. Nice, like if you find all the right stuff,
- 21:53Speaker 4: like you can make your character like an uber detective,
- 21:56Speaker 4: Like he'll just always know the right answer to every question.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Oh depends on like what things you find in the
- 22:01Speaker 4: scenes and as you walk around the things you look at.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Like one of my favorites is like right towards the beginning,
- 22:09Speaker 4: you know, if you pick the right dialog options, your
- 22:12Speaker 4: character will figure out something about his new partner that
- 22:15Speaker 4: she didn't tell him, and he'll just mention it. He's like,
- 22:18Speaker 4: you weren't gonna mention that you live in the slums,
- 22:20Speaker 4: blah blah blah, And she's like, oh god, it's like,
- 22:23Speaker 4: I'm a detective, what do you want?
- 22:26Speaker 2: You know?
- 22:27Speaker 4: So it's it's it's a fascinating kind of nod to
- 22:30Speaker 4: Text Murphy in that way, which I really appreciated.
- 22:34Speaker 2: But it's not quite as good.
- 22:36Speaker 8: But yeah, it's good enough for you though to get
- 22:38Speaker 8: I enjoyed it.
- 22:39Speaker 4: I absolutely enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as Text Murphy.
- 22:42Speaker 4: It wasn't as good as Dangan Rompo. When it comes
- 22:43Speaker 4: to mystery solving, you don't really solve the mystery. You
- 22:46Speaker 4: just watch the main character doesn't happen.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, which, yeah, I guess.
- 22:51Speaker 7: It's satisfying if you want to learn, you know, if
- 22:55Speaker 7: you want to figure out what the hell is going
- 22:57Speaker 7: on here, because it does get convoluted it, but there
- 23:01Speaker 7: is a correct answer towards the end.
- 23:02Speaker 2: So that's that's always nice. Cool. But yeah, yeah, that
- 23:07Speaker 2: was that. That's pretty much.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I've just been playing a lot of Vedha games lately,
- 23:10Speaker 4: that Doom, Doom, Internal Borderlands for some dumb reason.
- 23:13Speaker 8: So have we well Doom?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Okay, well again I shouted playing the first Doom together
- 23:18Speaker 1: because now they made it multiplayer on Steam. Oh the
- 23:20Speaker 1: original Doom yeah okay, so yeah, the original ninety three versions, well,
- 23:23Speaker 1: the updated ninety three version of Doom, the enhanced.
- 23:27Speaker 8: Enhanced versions since.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Played a couple levels of that, and then we jumped
- 23:31Speaker 1: into Tiny Teena's Wonderland because borderlansers on sale and we
- 23:35Speaker 1: want to play presequel.
- 23:36Speaker 8: But I want to finish that first.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, that's fair. Yeah, that's fair. Let's see.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Is there anything else going on with me before we
- 23:44Speaker 2: finish out the segment? Yeah?
- 23:45Speaker 4: Actually I announced it on my socials, But in case
- 23:48Speaker 4: you're not following those, So I don't think I've made
- 23:52Speaker 4: too much of a secret that the second book I'm
- 23:54Speaker 4: writing takes place after the first one in the Thing
- 23:58Speaker 4: univers as it were.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And my original plan was to write a different like
- 24:02Speaker 2: jump into a different series, like start writing something else.
- 24:06Speaker 8: Yeah, like a rom com.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Well, this was gonna be like a cozy mystery series.
- 24:11Speaker 4: It was gonna be, you know, about a girl who
- 24:13Speaker 4: goes to college for criminology and solves crimes. Oh, and
- 24:18Speaker 4: she was going to have some unexpected supernatural force helping
- 24:21Speaker 4: her out. So I was just gonna mix like the
- 24:24Speaker 4: supernatural world and mystery solving into one big It's a
- 24:28Speaker 4: fun idea in my mind, and I'm really looking forward
- 24:31Speaker 4: to it.
- 24:31Speaker 2: However, I tried to write several times and I was
- 24:34Speaker 2: just like, I'm not coming up with anything. I'm coming
- 24:36Speaker 2: up with them.
- 24:37Speaker 4: And then at the same time, I was having like
- 24:39Speaker 4: dreams about other stuff in the Sane universe happening.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Oh really, And I'm like, Okay, I get it. I'm
- 24:49Speaker 2: not allowed to leave just yet.
- 24:51Speaker 4: My muse or my imagination, whatever you want to call it,
- 24:54Speaker 4: very clearly wants to stay in that universe.
- 24:56Speaker 2: So I have come up with a plot for a
- 24:59Speaker 2: third novel.
- 25:00Speaker 8: I did see.
- 25:02Speaker 2: So Thane is going to officially be, at the very
- 25:04Speaker 2: least a trilogy.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Nice.
- 25:06Speaker 2: It might be more than that.
- 25:07Speaker 4: There might continue to be more books in that universe.
- 25:10Speaker 4: I don't know, but we are going to have an
- 25:12Speaker 4: actual trilogy somehow.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Oh yes, I've already started writing it.
- 25:16Speaker 4: As soon as I started writing, I just started pumping
- 25:19Speaker 4: stuff out, like I did two five hundred words this week.
- 25:22Speaker 8: Damn. Like yeah, just like back into it like no problem.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yeah, just just like no problem at all. You couldn't
- 25:28Speaker 4: even really get started on the murder mystery stuff.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I was like, all right, let's do this. Ye back
- 25:33Speaker 2: in the fane, here we go. So yeah, that's I'm
- 25:37Speaker 2: making it official. Thane will be a trilogy.
- 25:39Speaker 4: And I'm sort of excited about that, and a lot
- 25:41Speaker 4: of people seem to be excited about it based on
- 25:43Speaker 4: the reaction on my socials.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, my Facebook blew up, which is good. But gez,
- 25:50Speaker 2: that's the fun stuff that's going.
- 25:52Speaker 8: On with me. Yeah, dude, Well, congratulations on the trilogy. Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 8: hell yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 4: I didn't break away entirely in the mystery thing though.
- 26:00Speaker 4: The third the third thing novel is definitively going to
- 26:03Speaker 4: be a mystery. So now I have this absurd book
- 26:07Speaker 4: series where the first one is a science fiction thriller,
- 26:12Speaker 4: the second one is a fantasy adventure, and now the
- 26:15Speaker 4: third one is a mystery novel.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Like like like Aaron Lane, Man.
- 26:22Speaker 8: You drive Lane, do you find the one that you
- 26:25Speaker 8: like the most?
- 26:25Speaker 4: I like them all, you know, I really do. I
- 26:30Speaker 4: love my second novel so much. I cannot wait to
- 26:33Speaker 4: share that with people. I love that a lot of
- 26:35Speaker 4: that book, so I'm looking forward to that.
- 26:39Speaker 2: So that is coming.
- 26:40Speaker 4: The audiobook is coming as well. It's getting closer and
- 26:43Speaker 4: closer every day. Just need a few more pickups to
- 26:45Speaker 4: do to get the whole thing done and out the
- 26:48Speaker 4: door hopefully.
- 26:50Speaker 2: So yeah, that's everything I think that's going on in
- 26:53Speaker 2: my life right now. Nice man, I don't think I
- 26:55Speaker 2: can handle anymore.
- 26:57Speaker 8: That's cool. You're handling it a lot right now.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah things.
- 27:00Speaker 4: I still got the truck coming, which I'm trying to
- 27:02Speaker 4: say it up for. Hell yeah, I'm gonna start selling
- 27:06Speaker 4: my possessions real quick.
- 27:07Speaker 8: Oh god, I got a bunch.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Of computers just sitting around. But we'll see if I
- 27:10Speaker 2: can sell him make some money off.
- 27:12Speaker 8: Maybe I'll buy a computer off.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if you need a starter one.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I got a couple of good options for that could
- 27:17Speaker 2: use a server.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Oh okay for r in here all right, Like I said,
- 27:24Speaker 4: I got him. So yeah, that's funny. When we come back,
- 27:29Speaker 4: I think we're gonna find out what one of these
- 27:31Speaker 4: fools is up to. But we'll do that right after this.
- 27:45Speaker 6: If you like fun then you're gonna love the beard
- 27:47Speaker 6: Ol podcast. It's a podcast where we talk about two
- 27:50Speaker 6: of the greatest things in the world, beer and weird Out.

- 28:37Speaker 8: and what do we got? Awesome?
- 28:38Speaker 1: So through our Patreon on episode number two thirty, pulling
- 28:43Speaker 1: Counchy's pisser, we had one comment from William M. I
- 28:50Speaker 1: do believe the sausage vending machines are called glory holes.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yes, you're not wrong at all.
- 29:00Speaker 8: No, I don't want a sausage venue.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Speaking of it looks like the next one is from
- 29:07Speaker 3: Raving Sausage.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Craving sausage TikTok.
- 29:11Speaker 8: Yeah, would the craving sausagetok.
- 29:16Speaker 2: So this is a video we posted to TikTok and
- 29:19Speaker 2: pst appears to have liked it very much. Laugh five.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Five laugh emojis in a row, just really hammering that
- 29:33Speaker 4: point home.
- 29:34Speaker 8: I mean it was.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I wouldn't have you on here we go.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Sorry, that's okay, it's it's the TikTok is auto playing
- 29:44Speaker 4: being a jerk. But we did have a comment all
- 29:48Speaker 4: the Gaily We posted the Gatelybers theme song to TikTok,
- 29:54Speaker 4: and the comment in this case literally comes from me
- 29:58Speaker 4: because I my favorite part is watching TV's body flail
- 30:03Speaker 4: uncontrollably in the throes of pure joy, which is true.
- 30:08Speaker 8: It was so good.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Did you watch the gate Leapers theme video on TikTok.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Watch until the end of the actual theme song, and
- 30:17Speaker 2: then just watch Stevie.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Because loses motherfucker just bounces in his chair like a pinball,
- 30:23Speaker 4: like he can't help it.
- 30:24Speaker 2: He's just he's so happy.
- 30:26Speaker 8: I'm like a puppy man. I got like that was
- 30:29Speaker 8: so exciting because I didn't hear it. I didn't listen
- 30:31Speaker 8: to it. I was like, when I heard it, I
- 30:33Speaker 8: was like, I don't want to I wanted to shut
- 30:35Speaker 8: the hell up. So that way, this is what the.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Two of your geniuses for putting them on the sundboard
- 30:40Speaker 4: without listening to him, because your live reaction is always
- 30:44Speaker 4: gonna be way better than Yeah, I know. I it's
- 30:48Speaker 4: one of my favorite videos that I've rewatched it at
- 30:50Speaker 4: least a dozen times.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've played
- 30:56Speaker 1: back not just the theme but the video and then
- 30:58Speaker 1: the TikTok, and then I threw it on YouTube as well.
- 31:01Speaker 8: I was like, fuck it, this is going everywhere.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yep. Yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 8: Oh.
- 31:07Speaker 1: And our next one is for episode two twenty nine,
- 31:09Speaker 1: the Fink Show comic episode, and the common comes from
- 31:13Speaker 1: William M.
- 31:14Speaker 8: Great show. Guys, left my ass off.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yay.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Thanks heck yeah, no that much appreciated.
- 31:19Speaker 8: That was nice. That was a fun, very fun show man.
- 31:24Speaker 4: We've had a bunch of really fun episodes all in
- 31:26Speaker 4: a row, and it's just just getting even better as
- 31:29Speaker 4: we go. But man, yeah, it's so much fun with
- 31:33Speaker 4: Think People, with with Crunchy, with the Mystery Game show, Like,
- 31:37Speaker 4: it's all been an absolute blast lately.
- 31:39Speaker 2: We've been killing it. Hell yeah. If I don't, you
- 31:42Speaker 2: know that strain and patting myself on the back, but
- 31:45Speaker 2: you know we've done very well.
- 31:47Speaker 8: Yeah exactly, man, I hope.
- 31:50Speaker 2: You've listened to those episodes and if you haven't, just
- 31:52Speaker 2: go back a few. They're not they're not far back.
- 31:54Speaker 8: No, and there's a ton like there's a huge bag.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we've we've had a lot of fun over
- 31:59Speaker 4: the years, but just these last three in a row,

- 34:26Speaker 1: I am, And it's crazy because my position has gotten
- 34:29Speaker 1: changed a little.
- 34:30Speaker 8: I am no longer a breakfast cook.
- 34:32Speaker 1: No. Unfortunately, our prep cook slash cashier had to uh
- 34:38Speaker 1: not come back this season.
- 34:40Speaker 8: She's staying home with her husband pretty much. Yeah, take
- 34:43Speaker 8: care of him all right. So it's like, that's fair,
- 34:45Speaker 8: that's fair, that's cool. So much love to Julie. I
- 34:48Speaker 8: love her so much. He was awesome. I'm going to

- 34:58Speaker 8: she's like the coolest prep cook, like get your friend
- 35:02Speaker 8: cook ever, Like she was so much fun to have.
- 35:05Speaker 1: So the lunch cook, it will be coming in earlier

- 35:12Speaker 1: prep cook slash gash year and helping with breakfast and stuff,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and then obviously for vacation will just cook the whole
- 35:19Speaker 1: shift and whatever.
- 35:20Speaker 8: But yeah, so I'm like, all right, cool.
- 35:22Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, you're gonna get more hours, and I'm like,
- 35:24Speaker 1: oh sweet, sounds like that helps too, So I'm like
- 35:27Speaker 1: all right, but yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 8: Like that's going on.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm happy, man, Like it's cool. Tons of gaming,
- 35:35Speaker 1: Oh my god, I've been playing everything. I've been playing
- 35:39Speaker 1: everything from like we said earlier, Doom to border Lands
- 35:43Speaker 1: to we're gonna be playing presequel soon.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I've been jumping back and forth fall.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Out like four, jumping into the cause I have like
- 35:50Speaker 1: an all luck build pretty much.
- 35:52Speaker 8: I'm just like all luck and and something. It's luck
- 35:56Speaker 8: and mostly intelligence. That's all it is.
- 35:58Speaker 1: And it's fun because I'm like, I'm cracking everything and
- 36:02Speaker 1: I'm like getting experienced because of the idiots.
- 36:06Speaker 8: So it's like I can do anything. I can cook
- 36:08Speaker 8: a meal, and I'm like and then it gives you like.
- 36:14Speaker 2: It makes it really weird.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Whatever triggers is kind of funny.
- 36:23Speaker 1: So Followut's been a lot of fun for me lately.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And Dude, I'm just having a riot with it. It's
- 36:31Speaker 1: just it's so much fun just mex those two out
- 36:34Speaker 1: and just have fun with and been listening to DJ's anthis.
- 36:39Speaker 1: He's been posting a lot. Yeah, he's been posting a
- 36:42Speaker 1: ton in the b fy tw music channel we have
- 36:45Speaker 1: there in our discord. He's one of our Patreon members
- 36:48Speaker 1: and uh on Thursdays and Saturdays, he's been hitting it
- 36:52Speaker 1: over at the radio airwaves. Man, and I've been sitting
- 36:55Speaker 1: every night he's been on, just like grooving to his music. Man,
- 36:58Speaker 1: I'm like, this is awesome. Just let's play some video games.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And then a new season of Call of Duty came
- 37:05Speaker 1: out and they had a compound crossbow and a spear,
- 37:08Speaker 1: which I've been having a fuck ton of fun with.
- 37:11Speaker 6: Man.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a game mode called Infection normally, and it's
- 37:16Speaker 1: like sixteen players, and for the first fifteen seconds or so,
- 37:20Speaker 1: everybody's running around the map. You get a fixed out
- 37:22Speaker 1: of weapons, perks or tacticals and lethals. And then after
- 37:26Speaker 1: the fifteen seconds, one person out of the sixteen turns
- 37:29Speaker 1: into a zombie and they lose their weapons. They get
- 37:31Speaker 1: a throwing knife and that's it, and they had to
- 37:34Speaker 1: go around and kill everybody else in the match. And
- 37:36Speaker 1: as you kill one by one, they become zombies two with.
- 37:38Speaker 8: A throwing knife.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Well, in this version of season five or six, whenever
- 37:42Speaker 1: we're on, they had fishfection.
- 37:45Speaker 8: What that's what I said, igot the hell? So I
- 37:47Speaker 8: grab it and it's everybody is.
- 37:52Speaker 1: A humanoid like anapomorphic cats of giant cat heads like,
- 37:58Speaker 1: but they're not like costume heads. They look like real
- 38:01Speaker 1: cat head like. They their mouths moving, stuff their ears
- 38:04Speaker 1: with the whiskers. It's fucking adorable.
- 38:07Speaker 8: So all the cats are.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Armed with these confound crossbows and these spears. Man, and
- 38:12Speaker 1: then one person's a fish.
- 38:17Speaker 8: They got like is that arms, They got flipporps, they
- 38:20Speaker 8: got legs, sunks, they're running and stuff, and they got
- 38:22Speaker 8: giant fish and they gotta throw it. So all these
- 38:27Speaker 8: cats are running around these spears and crawinging bow and
- 38:30Speaker 8: arrows right on this fish, and this fish is actually cheese,
- 38:33Speaker 8: and all the cats around trying to turn them into fish. Uh.
- 38:37Speaker 8: That was the first day of it, and I just
- 38:39Speaker 8: had a fucking ball and I was like, I gotta
- 38:40Speaker 8: talk about this fish thing because this was a riot
- 38:43Speaker 8: to me.
- 38:43Speaker 2: You think they call developers might be on more weed
- 38:46Speaker 2: than you.
- 38:47Speaker 1: They're on something beyond weed, because I never in a
- 38:51Speaker 1: millionaires when.
- 38:52Speaker 8: I thought of that, I'm just like, this is fucking genius. Man.
- 38:56Speaker 8: I'm gonna play this for like three hours.
- 38:59Speaker 4: I just imagine playing it and like actual cats like
- 39:02Speaker 4: jumping up and like clawing at trying to get at
- 39:05Speaker 4: the pressure.
- 39:09Speaker 8: This is wild, right, Let's see.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Uh. Other than that, other than me just mess around
- 39:16Speaker 1: in video games and just having a ball, hung out
- 39:19Speaker 1: with Jabbo for a little bit. I got a few
- 39:22Speaker 1: ideas going whim and I'm gonna start recording on Thursdays
- 39:25Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 39:26Speaker 8: It's a lot of fun, yep.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Uh.
- 39:29Speaker 2: And let's see.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Summer's coming to a close. So I've been taking my motorcycle.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I was just practically every day I possibly can going anywhere, like, oh,
- 39:38Speaker 1: gotta go to the pet store, jump on the motorcycle.
- 39:42Speaker 8: I had to go back again today because we had fleas.
- 39:44Speaker 8: Well I don't have fleas and get rid of the
- 39:50Speaker 8: it was I mean, it was not me. It was
- 39:51Speaker 8: the cat. It was not me rolling around outside. It
- 39:53Speaker 8: was the cat. Yeah, the cat that never leaves the house.
- 39:57Speaker 8: Yeah it let's see that stuff. That stuff.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to think what else happened. I don't know, man,
- 40:07Speaker 1: Like it's been a I've been trying to relax this week.
- 40:09Speaker 8: A lot. Oh I got something from best Buy.
- 40:16Speaker 2: What did you get?
- 40:17Speaker 8: A riff Master?

- 44:22Speaker 3: work season, so ours is starting to beet dwindle down,
- 44:27Speaker 3: which I'm it's it's cool whatever. I've already discussed with
- 44:31Speaker 3: the boss. I'm gonna be there next year too, So
- 44:34Speaker 3: fun times.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Love it.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good time. Like I posted some stuff
- 44:40Speaker 3: in our discords or Patreon got to see it where
- 44:43Speaker 3: I posted like a couple of short videos of me
- 44:46Speaker 3: interacting with the fish that we sell because I like
- 44:49Speaker 3: to do behavior training with them, making more friendly and
- 44:52Speaker 3: human interactive and it's a huge selling point, believe it
- 44:56Speaker 3: or not having friendly fish, I believe it. So yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 3: I love doing that. That is my ship. Other than that,
- 45:05Speaker 3: I know, I've been working my fucking ass off this year.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Paid off a washer dryer, I bought us some new tools,
- 45:13Speaker 3: a wheelbarrow and a leaf blower, and my I I know,
- 45:21Speaker 3: I've been on my feet NonStop because my shoes that
- 45:24Speaker 3: I bought six months ago, I've already started falling apart.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I I'm like, oh ship, yep, I.
- 45:30Speaker 8: Wore these out.
- 45:31Speaker 3: I'm going I'm bearing a new pair every year.
- 45:33Speaker 8: You're working hard now, it's not just like you're on
- 45:36Speaker 8: your feet. You're like on your on my feet all.
- 45:40Speaker 2: The When I was a copier technician, I had to
- 45:43Speaker 2: go everywhere and work on copiers all day. Like I
- 45:46Speaker 2: I went through shoes every six months.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Yep.
- 45:49Speaker 8: Oh it's crazy. The stairs and every six months. Oh god,
- 45:52Speaker 8: the gravel, Oh god, the gravel.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and.
- 45:59Speaker 8: The people.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Kicking them in the face.
- 46:06Speaker 8: You're paying for that too.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Your tooth is lodging my steel toe.
- 46:13Speaker 8: Oh god, it's here, but you have my foot.
- 46:21Speaker 3: It's still a snaggle tooth.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Anyway, that's cool man. Yeah, what else has been.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Other than that? In my off time, I've been playing
- 46:31Speaker 3: games with Stevie I mentioned a few of them.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Then naturally cooking a lot cooking.
- 46:37Speaker 3: I got to a few weeks back. I got to
- 46:40Speaker 3: make stuffed burgers again. And there's a restaurant in Lockport
- 46:46Speaker 3: that we that we like to go to it once
- 46:49Speaker 3: in a while.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So after you go to Peace, Love and Bud on
- 46:52Speaker 1: September twenty eighth for their grand opening, you go over
- 46:54Speaker 1: to Stooges.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, a nice stuffed burger, go mate, stuff burger.
- 46:59Speaker 2: That's what we to go.
- 47:01Speaker 3: A bit pricey, but good eats. Good Eats and one
- 47:06Speaker 3: of their signature burgers there is called the Larry and
- 47:12Speaker 3: it has like peanut butter, jalapeno or hot pepper jelly
- 47:17Speaker 3: or something like that with.
- 47:19Speaker 8: Hot pepper jelly. What else says it? You know, a
- 47:21Speaker 8: cream cheese inside it, and it's stuffed inside is bird.
- 47:24Speaker 3: It's all stuffed in the burger.
- 47:26Speaker 2: It was, and there's bacon on it.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Yeah, there's bacon on it.
- 47:29Speaker 1: There's bits of bacon on the inside too with the
- 47:30Speaker 1: cheese because it's cheese inside all that stuff too.
- 47:33Speaker 3: And it is delicious. It sounds weird and disgusting, but
- 47:38Speaker 3: it is delicious. I never would have thought that kind
- 47:40Speaker 3: of combination for a burger either until I tried it.
- 47:44Speaker 3: I loved it so much.
- 47:46Speaker 8: I replicated it.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Ye oh my god, yeah, oh shit.
- 47:52Speaker 3: And I made it for the boys on our on
- 47:54Speaker 3: our Thursday night and it went over really well. We
- 47:58Speaker 3: had it sided with baked potato.
- 48:00Speaker 8: Yeah, oh dude. It was so many cards, but it
- 48:03Speaker 8: was It was worth it, so worth it. I don't care.
- 48:06Speaker 8: I love that stuff.
- 48:07Speaker 3: So they bought me a actual like hamburger stuffer press,
- 48:10Speaker 3: so now I can just pump out stuffed burgers whenever
- 48:14Speaker 3: I want.
- 48:15Speaker 2: That was that was one of the prizes on our
- 48:18Speaker 2: Pressure Luck game.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I know I saw that.
- 48:20Speaker 8: I'm like.
- 48:23Speaker 2: And stuffed burger press.
- 48:26Speaker 1: That thing is awesome, man, wow, Like it's cool. Yeah,
- 48:29Speaker 1: he's been great. He's been stepping up with the foods
- 48:32Speaker 1: we've been doing. We did wracks of rigs.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Where did you get the hot pepper jelly?
- 48:36Speaker 3: We went to Tops Market and yeah, if you go, yeah,
- 48:42Speaker 3: if you it was in there jelly, Like, well you
- 48:45Speaker 3: forget the peanut butter and jelly.
- 48:46Speaker 2: It was in that section. Still.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess it's just it's something you have to
- 48:50Speaker 3: be looking for. But it was there the whole time.
- 48:52Speaker 4: So non related kind of food thing, Like I was
- 48:59Speaker 4: shopping for grocery last week and I was getting it
- 49:02Speaker 4: from all these and I just I don't know why.
- 49:05Speaker 4: I was just looking through the jellies and I was
- 49:06Speaker 4: gonna get like strawberry preserves like I usually get, but
- 49:09Speaker 4: we're sitting right next to it was raspberry raspberry fruit.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Spread I got.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I was like, I'm gonna get, Well, here's the thing
- 49:17Speaker 4: I was gonna get that. I'm like, oh that sounds
- 49:19Speaker 4: I love raspberry. I would love to try peanut butter
- 49:22Speaker 4: and raspberry sandwiches. Turns out, you know, it's not available,
- 49:26Speaker 4: so they replace it. They substituted with BlackBerry fruit spread,
- 49:30Speaker 4: which I've never had before in my life, and I'm like, oh,
- 49:33Speaker 4: I don't know about this, but I got it. Was
- 49:37Speaker 4: like three dollars for like a tiny jar. I'm like,
- 49:40Speaker 4: this is gonna last maybe one one loaf of bread
- 49:44Speaker 4: if I spread it really fish is it a tiny jar?
- 49:48Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, yes, but I was like,
- 49:51Speaker 4: I figured I'd give it a shot.
- 49:52Speaker 8: Yeah, the fucker.
- 49:53Speaker 2: It was goddamn delicious, so good. Legitimately one of the
- 49:58Speaker 2: best sandwiches I've ever had in my life was peanut
- 49:59Speaker 2: but BlackBerry. I was like, this is scrum.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Why is this not everywhere like with hilaria, like that
- 50:07Speaker 3: combination of stuff like I would never think And yeah,
- 50:11Speaker 3: I mean, you.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Know, blackberries are sweet and delicious. You know, I never
- 50:15Speaker 4: thought of trying it with peanut butter sandwich. And now
- 50:19Speaker 4: it's like, I'm gonna have to get that ship again.
- 50:21Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to get it every time.
- 50:23Speaker 2: A raspberry Yeah, I.
- 50:25Speaker 8: Have the raspberry one because I bought it.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Well when I love raspberry stuff, Now I didn't when
- 50:30Speaker 4: I was a kid, but I hit my thirties, I
- 50:33Speaker 4: suddenly became like, raspberries are great, right, Oh yeah.
- 50:37Speaker 3: I was like that with beats, Like I think that
- 50:39Speaker 3: it was mostly how they were prepared. But like for
- 50:40Speaker 3: a long time as a kid, I'm.
- 50:41Speaker 8: Like I hated beats. Beets are awesome. Now they're delicious
- 50:46Speaker 8: fresh beets though from.
- 50:47Speaker 2: The fresh throwing them. Wow, yeah, so good.
- 50:53Speaker 8: We'll make we saw it with a little bit of
- 50:56Speaker 8: butter and then we put brown sugar on it.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Oh Jesus, almost.
- 51:01Speaker 8: Like dude, like those we're gonna need to come over
- 51:08Speaker 8: so much better than and it's healthy, like do it.
- 51:11Speaker 1: It's not for you, Like we're very careful for we eat,
- 51:14Speaker 1: Like when we start doing our Thursday d and ds,
- 51:16Speaker 1: like we could do this, Like I'm we're down.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I need to live here.
- 51:22Speaker 3: If only the cross the street, just keep the space.
- 51:27Speaker 2: In the garage, We'll have a couple of guest rooms.
- 51:30Speaker 2: I just want to eat this good food.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Yeah, driving RV anyway, We'll get to that in a
- 51:38Speaker 3: second though. But other than playing games with Stevie, we've
- 51:41Speaker 3: been contending with fleas our house. But we've we've got
- 51:46Speaker 3: it more or less contained and under control of this point,
- 51:49Speaker 3: and with the weather turning and they're not going to
- 51:51Speaker 3: be around very much longer, we're surprisingly though it was
- 51:56Speaker 3: bugging the animals. We didn't Steve and I didn't get
- 51:59Speaker 3: bit once we we wonder if it's something to do
- 52:01Speaker 3: with like our diet, because we do tend to have
- 52:03Speaker 3: like a lot of onions.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Your animals or was it the animals downstairs?
- 52:07Speaker 8: It was It was started with the outside animal, I think.
- 52:09Speaker 1: And then I think because the dogs go outside to
- 52:12Speaker 1: the bathroom brought something because he's a friendly catstairs downstairs
- 52:16Speaker 1: and the cat's always rubbing on everything, the outside cat,
- 52:19Speaker 1: so right, But yeah, tried to flee colors kind of
- 52:23Speaker 1: worked for a.
- 52:24Speaker 8: Day or two.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Unfortunately our cat Ember has sensitive skin, so that collar
- 52:29Speaker 3: is only good.
- 52:30Speaker 2: For so long.
- 52:30Speaker 8: Yeah, you gotta take it off. After we had it
- 52:32Speaker 8: on for I think we did four days. Yeah, and
- 52:34Speaker 8: she was scratching the ship out of the back of
- 52:36Speaker 8: her neck worth it.
- 52:37Speaker 3: It wasn't even there. And but yeah, we got under
- 52:41Speaker 3: control more or less a few more days of just
- 52:44Speaker 3: cleaning the house a dozen times. I think I think
- 52:47Speaker 3: we'll do the rest.
- 52:49Speaker 1: My room is so sanitized right now, you have no
- 52:52Speaker 1: idea like I did long everything everything, all the chairs,
- 52:56Speaker 1: the desk, everything, all the clothes.
- 52:59Speaker 3: But other than that, me and my other circle of
- 53:04Speaker 3: friends have been talking again. We had years ago bought
- 53:08Speaker 3: these little war gaming minis called for Bolt Action, which
- 53:12Speaker 3: is like it's like Warhammer, but it's World War Two,
- 53:15Speaker 3: so instead of like fantasy characters, you're actually different nations
- 53:20Speaker 3: that participated in World War Two, including the US, Britain, Russia, Germans, Italians,
- 53:28Speaker 3: and they even have a whole bunch of other modules
- 53:31Speaker 3: for different nations that were involved as well. And we
- 53:35Speaker 3: have each our own army. I put together a British
- 53:39Speaker 3: army like an old with a commando army. Even my
- 53:42Speaker 3: one buddy did Germans. He's got a tank regiment. Our
- 53:45Speaker 3: other buddy Diad Russians and he's got a fucking swarm
- 53:48Speaker 3: of Russians. And then even Steve has a set of
- 53:52Speaker 3: American paratroopers.
- 53:54Speaker 8: Had to get airborne, baby, And we've been talking about.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Doing some wargame and probably this over this winter at
- 54:02Speaker 3: some point, so I'm like, okay, cool. I was thinking
- 54:04Speaker 3: of maybe doing some like after action report stuff. Then
- 54:07Speaker 3: we might I might put up somewhere. I think it
- 54:10Speaker 3: would be kind of fun and cool to go over
- 54:12Speaker 3: or interesting to look at if anyone might be interested
- 54:14Speaker 3: in that. But for this circle of friends, however, I've
- 54:19Speaker 3: got something else going on this winter. I'm planning on
- 54:23Speaker 3: running a D and D campaign, specifically Fifth Edition's.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Curse of Straw.
- 54:30Speaker 3: And let me tell you, I apologize now because I'm
- 54:36Speaker 3: going a little overborn in terms of preparation. I may
- 54:41Speaker 3: or may not have some physical props coming in the
- 54:44Speaker 3: mail specifically for this campaign. No way.
- 54:50Speaker 4: So my my only current regular gaming group is like me, CJ,
- 54:57Speaker 4: girlfriend and Z's Eternal. Oh ye, and we're currently going
- 55:02Speaker 4: through We did a D and D campaign with the
- 55:04Speaker 4: is Eternal running it. We're currently going through a old
- 55:08Speaker 4: Gods of Appalachia campaign with CJ running it. Oh cool cool,
- 55:12Speaker 4: And next is going to be my turn, and I've
- 55:15Speaker 4: already decided what I'm gonna do.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I am a huge fan of Dropout.
- 55:19Speaker 4: And Dimension twenty and everything they do over there is
- 55:22Speaker 4: absolutely hilarious and I love it to death. But their
- 55:26Speaker 4: latest their latest campaign has been called Never Stop Blowing Up,
- 55:31Speaker 4: which has a system based partly on like a mash
- 55:35Speaker 4: of kids on bikes and mers dice game where basically everybody.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Starts with.
- 55:43Speaker 4: Nine different stats, and each stat is a die type.
- 55:46Speaker 4: So you start each sat with a D four. If
- 55:49Speaker 4: you roll a four on the D four, the dive
- 55:51Speaker 4: blows up and becomes D six. Oh you get to
- 55:54Speaker 4: immediately roll it again and add it to your previous role. Okay, now, now, well,
- 56:00Speaker 4: every time you hit the top number on a die,
- 56:02Speaker 4: it blows up, and it continues to blow up until
- 56:04Speaker 4: you reach a D twenty, at which point you have
- 56:06Speaker 4: some options, like it's what you can do with those.
- 56:09Speaker 4: You can also gain turbo tokens every time you fail
- 56:12Speaker 4: a role, and you can spend those to increase a
- 56:15Speaker 4: role or even force the die to blow up, you know,
- 56:19Speaker 4: or you can save them. And between campaigns you can
- 56:22Speaker 4: buy or enhance your abilities, buy extra stuff that will
- 56:26Speaker 4: help you, or you can even buy group abilities for
- 56:28Speaker 4: everybody if everybody spends their.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Tokens together to buy them.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Nice. Now, the whole thing is based on being inside
- 56:37Speaker 4: and over the top eighties slash nineties action movie. And
- 56:44Speaker 4: what I love more than anything about watching this campaign
- 56:48Speaker 4: is how unlike other campaigns where Brennan's been like we're
- 56:53Speaker 4: gonna reel this in a little bit. Back to reality guys.
- 56:57Speaker 4: This time, He's like, gloves are off. Anything you say goes.
- 57:01Speaker 4: I'll give you a difficulty. If you can hit it,
- 57:03Speaker 4: it happens, no matter how insane.
- 57:06Speaker 2: This means. Some really insane shit has happened in this series,
- 57:11Speaker 2: and I have laughed so hard. I'm like, this has
- 57:15Speaker 2: to be the most fun tabletop experience. I can imagine.
- 57:18Speaker 4: You can literally just do whatever you want, and it's
- 57:21Speaker 4: like it's got to turn into.
- 57:22Speaker 2: A giggle fest.
- 57:24Speaker 4: So when and people have already been working on creating one.
- 57:28Speaker 4: They've been talking about releasing an actual place out of
- 57:31Speaker 4: their actual rules once the series.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Is done, like a PDF.
- 57:35Speaker 4: And if they don't, I'm gonna grab one of the
- 57:37Speaker 4: homebrew ones and we're gonna play Never Stop Blowing Up.
- 57:41Speaker 2: And I'm gonna have so much fun being like, yeah,
- 57:44Speaker 2: sure that happens. Let's do it. If you hit this difficulty,
- 57:47Speaker 2: it happens.
- 57:50Speaker 4: He still has some tools, like at one point I
- 57:53Speaker 4: think he said, Okay, if you roll a one hundred
- 57:55Speaker 4: on a D one hundred, then it happens.
- 57:58Speaker 3: You know.
- 57:58Speaker 4: It's like like she was trying to do something insane
- 58:02Speaker 4: while the car was going four thousand miles an hour,
- 58:06Speaker 4: which I mean if you put any part of your
- 58:07Speaker 4: body outside of a car.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Trying to snap, Yeah, and it's probably gonna break. God,
- 58:12Speaker 2: Like it was just it was just wild. And then
- 58:14Speaker 2: I'm like, that looks like so much fun.
- 58:16Speaker 8: I have to try that would be fair. Oh yeah,
- 58:19Speaker 8: that does not like fun.
- 58:20Speaker 2: By definition, it almost has to be a short campaign,
- 58:23Speaker 2: like yeah, because otherwise there's just ten.
- 58:25Speaker 4: Sessions or less because at a certain point, everybody's gonna
- 58:28Speaker 4: be twenties across the board.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Yep, and it just gets unless you're turning those twenties
- 58:32Speaker 1: into something else that goes back to like D four.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Well, that's one of the abilities you have if you
- 58:35Speaker 4: hit it, if you hit a nap twenty, Yeah, you
- 58:38Speaker 4: can if you want, reset that and it makes not
- 58:41Speaker 4: only that blow up easier, like you get it out
- 58:44Speaker 4: of nineteen or twenty, or you get it on the
- 58:46Speaker 4: top two numbers.
- 58:47Speaker 2: On each die, but for all of your stats.
- 58:50Speaker 8: Oh so we could change it to be like every
- 58:53Speaker 8: dy that.
- 58:54Speaker 2: It literally like double the speed at which you blow.
- 58:57Speaker 8: Everything, right, that would change.
- 59:00Speaker 2: You're willing to take that twenty back down?
- 59:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I would definitely would would keep that. I would
- 59:04Speaker 1: just change it to it doesn't do it to all
- 59:05Speaker 1: of them. It just hasn't to the one you did.
- 59:07Speaker 1: If you want to do it for the other day
- 59:09Speaker 1: or the other stat you have to go all the
- 59:11Speaker 1: way to twenty on that.
- 59:11Speaker 8: One to do that one. Yeah, yeah, that'd be fun
- 59:14Speaker 8: many Yeah.
- 59:16Speaker 4: Still some ways off CJ is probably gonna kill us
- 59:19Speaker 4: all in his old gods. It's very But anyway, I
- 59:24Speaker 4: derailed dog yet again.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I'm such an asshole. He called me out like be
- 59:28Speaker 2: like Dick, shut up.
- 59:29Speaker 8: Let him. He's the talent, a little the talent out of.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Here, get the out but no here for you. Goofballs
- 59:42Speaker 2: laughing each other sick.
- 59:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so it sounds like we have quite a bit
- 59:46Speaker 3: of D and D looking forward to.
- 59:48Speaker 2: If anything, I'm just the wrangler, the cat wler.
- 59:55Speaker 1: He's trained us the water, so he's running away from him.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Come here, stop springing us coming here. Yeah, dude, No,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I'm mad excited for D and D. It's been a while.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never done curs. I've heard about it, so
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: I know this could be.
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: Oh, I'm gonna play something fund up. I'm gonna take
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: you straight up.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Don't go don't get me wrong. It's not gonna be
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: like dirty or Auntie or anything like that. It's it's
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: gonna feel.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Like say that, but I are gonna be playing dirty.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: If it comes from anyone, it'll be from you, just saying.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Now, we might have to record these sessions when we
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: start that over, because we're gonna do it your place.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, I record it?
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Why not?
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: Yeah, I'll edit it, so don't take the file. Give
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: me something else to do in the weekend.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: It'll be the worst of yeah, jokes on you. The
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: curse of stro they are the curse.
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: Like, get me out of here.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: I don't want to please, please, just.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I don't want to be here, and please stop trying
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: to make me come.
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: No, you tripped me in here, you know, do you
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: have the consequences.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: It's gonna be a barbed fence outside his castle, no.
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: Trespassing, right, dungeon closed.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: He just wants to be left alone.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Every time they go knocking on his front.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I'll stop being evil. Do whatever you say, sleep alone.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Every time they go knocking on his gate, police get called.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Oh fuck, oh my goodness, I'm.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: Peeking over behind a curtain up on one other para,
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: he's just internally paranoid.
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: Those guys again, is it?
