Ep. 4069 Democrats Are PANICKING After What Congress Just Exposed!! · Turley Talks

0:00
[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
0:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
0:18
[SPEAKER_01]: This is Turley Talks.
0:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, guys, it's me, Dr. Steve.
0:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got something you are not going to believe.
0:27
[SPEAKER_00]: There is a bill that just hit the house floor this week that would require the unthinkable.
0:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It would hold every member of Congress accountable for corruption.
0:39
[SPEAKER_00]: And it actually passed committee with bipartisan support.
0:42
[SPEAKER_00]: It had the votes to pass.
0:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And then Hakeem Jeffries, the minority leader, just told his entire Democrat caucus to vote it down.
0:50
[SPEAKER_00]: not because it goes too far, but because it would have exposed what Democrats have been doing behind closed doors for years.
0:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, of course, the legacy media isn't covering this.
1:01
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't they don't want you to see what's in this bill or why the Democrat leadership was so desperate to kill it.
1:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So let me show you exactly what they're protecting.
1:11
[SPEAKER_00]: a new report just dropped.
1:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Congress get this, Congress made 6,170 stock trades in just 16 months.
1:25
[SPEAKER_00]: 56% of those trades overlapped with industries, those same Congress members were actively
1:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why he blocked it, not because it was and strong enough, precisely because it was too strong.
1:48
[SPEAKER_00]: One Democrat has made nearly 25,000 stock trades while serving in Congress.
1:55
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a type of 25,000 trades.
2:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Rocana, a Democrat from Silicon Valley, place roughly 42 trades per week across over a thousand
2:11
[SPEAKER_00]: When he entered politics, his net worth was around $800,000 today.
2:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's over 30 million.
2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: He sits on the Armed Services Committee.
2:21
[SPEAKER_00]: He sits on the Oversight Committee.
2:23
[SPEAKER_00]: He's got access to classified briefings, defense contracts.
2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: military intelligence, and he's making 42 trades a week.
2:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, just to put that in perspective, that one man accounts for nearly 25% of all congressional stock trades on record.
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And when she gas it, Nancy Pelosi still at it.
2:45
[SPEAKER_00]: This year alone, she bought $15 million in Intel stock options.
2:55
[SPEAKER_00]: If you were wondering her estimated net worth right now, $636 million, she and her Congress would less than $800,000.
3:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Her investment returns in Congress were better than Warren Buffett's better than every hedge fund in Wall Street.
3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: She fought the stock trading ban her entire career, blocked every attempt.
3:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Now she's going to retire and walk away with hundreds of millions of
3:25
[SPEAKER_00]: What happens if a regular citizen?
3:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone who isn't in Congress does this exact same thing?
3:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that just happened to a fellow by the name of Justin Jennings.
3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Jennings is a regular American guy like you and me.
3:39
[SPEAKER_00]: He looked at his girlfriend's work laptop.
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: He found confidential information about upcoming mergers.
3:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And he made $2.7 million trading on it.
3:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The SEC charged him and the DOJ filed criminal charges and now he's facing prison time.
3:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, members of Congress sitting classified briefings,
4:00
[SPEAKER_00]: right, they regulate entire industries and then trade millions in the stocks they oversee, no charges, no investigation, just a PDF filed 45 days later.
4:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And this week, Democrats are voting to make sure it never stops.
4:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But here's what few people realize.
4:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Every single one of those trades is actually public, every ticker, every dollar amount, it's all on record.
4:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It always has been, but it's been made, you know, specifically hard to find by the swamp, but it's not impossible.
4:36
[SPEAKER_00]: We can follow their trades by the exact same stocks that they're buying and profit right alongside them.
4:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And my next guest has spent 20 years doing exactly that.
4:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And what he's found would change the way you think about investing forever.
4:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's welcome back my good friend, Ross Givins.
4:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Ross is a former Vice President, JP Morgan Chase.
4:57
[SPEAKER_00]: He's spent nearly a decade tracking congressional and corporate insider disclosures.
5:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And Ross is a very different perspective on this issue.
5:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Rather than just simply being frustrated by it,
5:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He believes ordinary investors can actually use this public information for their own benefit.
5:15
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, we're also agreed to host a free live online training event for my audience.
5:21
[SPEAKER_00]: This Thursday, July 30th at 3 p.m. Eastern.
5:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And during the event, he's going to show you exactly how congressional disclosures work, how corporate insider disclosures work, and how everyday investors can legally track
5:36
[SPEAKER_00]: these filings.
5:37
[SPEAKER_00]: The link is below this video or simply visit TurleyTalks Insider Trading.com and everyone who registers, we'll also receive Ross's latest insider trader report with the full written analysis.
5:50
[SPEAKER_00]: It's absolutely amazing stuff.
5:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So Ross, welcome back.
5:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Great to see you again as always my friend.
5:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, are you Dr. Steve?
5:57
[SPEAKER_00]: You beautiful Patriot?
5:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, brother.
5:59
[SPEAKER_00]: right back at you love seeing you man.
6:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So look, let's start with the big picture.
6:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Why has congressional stock trading become such a controversial topic?
6:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think most Americans instinctively understand that information matters, right?
6:15
[SPEAKER_01]: As you said, these members of Congress sit on committees, they get briefings, they meet with industry executives, they discuss the regulations and the budgets and the big spending contracts go into these companies.
6:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And look, none of that necessarily means anyone's doing anything improper.
6:28
[SPEAKER_01]: They have to do this to do their job, but it does create an environment where lawmakers possess more information than you and me in the rest of the average investors.
6:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So when the people with that information,
6:40
[SPEAKER_01]: consistently make above average investment returns, it's natural to start asking questions.
6:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I've learned this from you.
6:49
[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't limited to say one individual or even one party.
6:53
[SPEAKER_01]: No, not at all.
6:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, congressional trading, I think it's become a very broad debate largely from people like you put this out there.
7:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And as you mentioned, like Rose, somebody's guys are very active traders.
7:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone have barely traded all.
7:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Some claim to support a ban.
7:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they really do.
7:10
[SPEAKER_01]: But the central question to all of this is, and it's what America's been asking, should members of Congress be allowed to own an actively trade individual stocks while they're serving an office?
7:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's perfectly reason we'll give in the conflict of interest.
7:26
[SPEAKER_00]: There was a,
7:27
[SPEAKER_01]: there was another recent case involving a private citizen that's bad the one you mentioned it's fun you said boy I might have been as her husband I forget but this was actually funny because he and his is either girlfriend or wife I forget the details but they both work from home like a lot of us do so I'm guessing home offices the share wall right and he overhears her talking about a company her firm was going to buy out she's like on the mergers team
7:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And his clever guy goes out there, puts his whole 401k into the stock.
7:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he like used leverage or options made millions when the deal went through.
8:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And the guy thought his wife would be thrilled about, he made a couple of million bucks.
8:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But regulators took back the money.
8:09
[SPEAKER_01]: She tells her company about it, lost her job anyway.
8:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Her husband's looking at jail time and look, these are the rules.
8:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
8:16
[SPEAKER_01]: He shouldn't be able to do this.
8:17
[SPEAKER_01]: People shouldn't do it.
8:19
[SPEAKER_01]: The the point is that you pointed out is Congress been doing this out in the open for decades without so much as a slap on the rest right Ellen public citizens do it they're just throwing the book at right right yeah rules for the not for me that's it what makes us so upset about it you know I read something the other day about
8:39
[SPEAKER_00]: showing how big of an impact Trump actually has on stock prices.
8:43
[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't trading them, obviously, but how much the companies he mentioned and posts on true social actually went up after he mentioned them.
8:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's no, that's huge.
8:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's been a big trend, especially with a government taking stakes in these companies.
8:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's just something
8:59
[SPEAKER_01]: The markets never seen before would Uncle Sam getting stock in exchange for funding.
9:05
[SPEAKER_01]: These private companies, and personally, I fully support it.
9:08
[SPEAKER_01]: About time we detached by your got something, right?
9:10
[SPEAKER_01]: We shouldn't be on the hook bailing out the banks and bailing out general motors.
9:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a slap in the face to you and I, Wall Street, you know, back in 0809 took these crazy big risks.
9:21
[SPEAKER_01]: They lose all this money.
9:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they take our tax dollar to fill the holes and get in trouble.
9:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
9:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care which side of the aisle they're on.
9:31
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, that's off topic.
9:32
[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, most of the companies' Trump has announced deals with have gone way up after it.
9:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And in fact, this one's a bit controversial.
9:40
[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a story going out just came a few days ago.
9:43
[SPEAKER_01]: True social, not Trump, announced a new API feature.
9:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And so their plan is to sell banks and
9:53
[SPEAKER_01]: direct instant access to the posts from Trump and these other other top accounts are charging like a hundred thousand dollars a month for it, right?
10:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Just just to get it, they're not getting it like a day earlier.
10:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a millisecond.
10:06
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a second before you and I see it and it wouldn't make any difference to you and me.
10:10
[SPEAKER_01]: But for these guys, seeing that information a half a second sooner.
10:15
[SPEAKER_01]: could make or save the music.
10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how valuable this kind of information is and why you want to know it early and you can know it early.
10:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You can see the stock trades of every member of Congress, exactly what they're buying, how much they're buying and just follow along.
10:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all we do.
10:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, so you're connecting to things seeing and information information and seeing.
10:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So one, the thing that always surprised me is that these congressional trades are actually public.
10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Most people don't really know that.
10:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's the big key like everyone is aware to this is going on.
10:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone knows Pelosi got rich inside of trading.
10:54
[SPEAKER_01]: people don't realize is every congressional trade disclosure is public.
10:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Every corporate insider finalized public.
11:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So that the challenges of the access, it's knowing where to look, understanding which trades actually matter.
11:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Because not every file is important.
11:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody bought two shares of a S&P index fund, La Dida, which some absolutely are.
11:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, can you give us some examples to have any, yeah.
11:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, sure.
11:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so if you've got Pelosi, for example, since you were talking about her, you know, uh, uh, Nvidia has been one of the best stocks at the last five years by a mile, 2000 percent or something.
11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And in that big move started with the Chips Act, when the government gave 50 plus billion dollars to the semiconductor companies to get him to start making here.
11:45
[SPEAKER_01]: She was speaker of the house and the week before it passed, she went out and bought a million dollars worth of leverage in video call options and made a bundle.
11:54
[SPEAKER_01]: There was that Susie Lee who, and this one rarely buy stocks.
11:59
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a Democrat of the house, I think, rarely buy stocks.
12:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And then suddenly, this woman picks up shares of this little off the radar German arms
12:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, under a year.
12:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, yeah, okay, you're buying a couple shares of Apple.
12:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We all loan Apple.
12:19
[SPEAKER_01]: You're buying some Netflix.
12:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
12:21
[SPEAKER_01]: You're buying a German arms manufacturer.
12:23
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the least stock you've bought in three years or you know, you sit on a military defense.
12:29
[SPEAKER_01]: You're writing the defense budget and you're buying up these stocks.
12:32
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get those dollars or on the corporate side.
12:34
[SPEAKER_01]: You may see the CEO with a little pharmaceutical company loading up before a
12:43
[SPEAKER_01]: paint the picture that they probably know something.
12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to take advantage of and you can see those and use them for your own advantage.
12:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
12:50
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what that's your specialty.
12:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to teach people on Thursday how to do this, how to access this.
12:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's right.
12:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's this Thursday, July 30, a three o'clock keystone.
13:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's online.
13:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It's free.
13:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody can come just click that link and sign up.
13:04
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to show how these congressional closures work.
13:07
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a free online website, how to see what they're buying,
13:11
[SPEAKER_01]: How the corporate insiders work people don't realize you can see when CEOs buy at CFOs you can see what Elon Musk is buying et cetera Yeah, I walk through how to identify what I believe is the meaningful buying activity right had a separate The noise from the signal and and how we've used this strategy for years we've been doing this since 2017 We have decimated the market returns over that time not for many skill of my own just because we're following people who know more than
13:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
13:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's that's really the goal.
13:39
[SPEAKER_01]: It it seems overwhelming.
13:40
[SPEAKER_01]: It leaves database.
13:41
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, oh my gosh, rosters five hundred trades in there.
13:44
[SPEAKER_01]: The goal is not to follow every one of them.
13:46
[SPEAKER_01]: It's to identify just a handful of situations one to a month where they're just so painfully obvious where these insiders appear to be acting with strong conviction from position where they likely know something they're taking advantage of.
14:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And but you there was a key word you use there in terms of the insiders.
14:04
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just the politicians.
14:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's the corporate disclosures.
14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm not fascinated that that's on top of the congressional trade.
14:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got congressional yeah corporate trades as well.
14:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
14:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So this goes beyond politicians.
14:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's much bigger and people don't really because the politicians are the sexy stuff.
14:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we want to see that.
14:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But like the corporate guys do even better.
14:24
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, imagine how good a CEO is at trading his own stock.
14:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine how good a chief financial officer is who fills out the earnings report before it gets announced.
14:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So politicians are the type of the iceberg.
14:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We get even better information from CEOs and CFOs and board members because
14:41
[SPEAKER_01]: They know their business better than anyone.
14:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
14:44
[SPEAKER_01]: They know about the murders and about the earnings and know how the AI models come along.
14:48
[SPEAKER_01]: And so when they are out there buying meaningful amounts of stock with their money, not 10 or 20 shares, 2 3 4 times their annual salary in a week.
14:57
[SPEAKER_01]: you want to pay attention to that.
14:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, not every trade matter, but some are really do it.
15:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you just get onto a couple of these and you've seen them over the years, and they don't all, they're not all going to go gangbusters, but some are going to go four, five, 10x higher.
15:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
15:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And that can really move the needle for for most people.
15:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's starting again, this is why I wanted Ross onto it.
15:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fascinating.
15:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you're interested in politics, investing, or just simply understanding how the system works, as you can see, it's very systematic.
15:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It's you're dealing with a corporate as well as congressional.
15:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is information every American should know.
15:33

16:32
[SPEAKER_00]: You've got either Congress or corporate CEOs guiding your trade.
16:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty impressive.
16:37
[SPEAKER_01]: There's worse people to follow.
16:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they all do better than he does.
16:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's telling.
16:46
