- 0:34Alright, God bless you everybody.
- 0:36Thank you for those that have been listening and those that
- 0:38are new welcome. Oh, we always pray before we
- 0:41start. So absolutely alright Lord,
- 0:44thank you so much for just allowing us to be here.
- 0:48Guide us and lead us into the absolute truth.
- 0:51There's no one greater than you, and whatever it is that we're
- 0:55going to talk about, may you guide us and teach us.
- 1:03Always, Lord, always, Your lessons are the truth.
- 1:08The real lessons are truth, and there's no fly in them.
- 1:12Amen. Amen.
- 1:14Amen. Amen.
- 1:15So the previous episode was threefold.
- 1:19Yeah. Which we spoke about wisdom,
- 1:22prayer. Yeah.
- 1:23And scripture. Yeah, Right.
- 1:26There is a continuum. There's a continuation to this,
- 1:29I guess you can call it series or whatever, about wisdom,
- 1:33prayer, and how it looks like when you're aligned to His will.
- 1:38Yeah. Versus when you do things for
- 1:39your own sake, or what that would look like doing all those
- 1:44things while thinking and being in the flesh.
- 1:47Yeah, yeah. But interestingly, we would
- 1:52touching a topic that's kind of important to both men and women.
- 1:55Yeah, those listening, Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:58No, absolutely. You know, you know, it's just
- 2:01interesting, bro, like before, because I know exactly what
- 2:05we're gonna talk about. But before we started this,
- 2:09right, it's like, it's like there was this conversation that
- 2:12was so organic, you know, maybe we should talk about it.
- 2:15OK, sure. If you want to, I'm going to
- 2:17challenge you. You're.
- 2:18Going to challenge me. Yeah.
- 2:19All right, I'm going to do my best to try to.
- 2:21Diego, you, Diego, you can. You can also.
- 2:24Yeah, yeah. If there's anything that maybe
- 2:26sounds uncertain, you can always call us out.
- 2:30Right, right. So going back to what you asked
- 2:33me. What?
- 2:33What I. Asked you to give people some
- 2:37some background and it started about crushes if you will.
- 2:42Yeah, crushes. OK, crushes.
- 2:44You ever get butterflies and you feel like like you have a crush
- 2:46on someone here? I think there's, I think
- 2:49everybody has for some reason, I.
- 2:51Don't think so weird, I don't. Think Oscar has to?
- 2:55Yeah. OO's.
- 2:56No, no, not really. He's concrete.
- 2:59He's done. But yeah, I.
- 3:01Know the feeling. Yeah, I don't know.
- 3:04I was, I was, I was saying how does it feel?
- 3:09I asked you a question. How does it feel?
- 3:10Do. You have to have a crush on
- 3:11someone. On someone.
- 3:12Yeah, that's interesting. Interesting question.
- 3:15Currently or in the past or most likely currently?
- 3:19Well, in the past, you know, when I had a crush on someone,
- 3:22you know, I would feel butterflies.
- 3:24You know, I would. I would but but.
- 3:27I go for. It I know.
- 3:28OK, so I, I did. I sometimes I would have
- 3:29butterflies. No, I'm, I'm gonna be honest.
- 3:31Not all the time. Not all the time.
- 3:33Most of the time maybe since I did not know what lust and love
- 3:36was or what. Like for example, I would only
- 3:40look for mostly for appearances, you know, what appeared pleasing
- 3:44to my eyes. So I would think that's beauty
- 3:46and love sometimes. OK, so that's what I was going
- 3:48to ask. What those butterflies did you
- 3:50feel? Was it because you genuinely had
- 3:54a crush on that person? Because I don't know, you
- 4:00missed. I don't know their voice.
- 4:04Yeah. Or you like their intelligence,
- 4:06their right. Or was it you felt butterflies
- 4:09because of the idea as a dude or a man, right.
- 4:13Whatever right, of potentially having a shot at at expressing
- 4:20your physicality with her. I see.
- 4:23It was those were those the butterflies almost like
- 4:26nervousness and like, oh, I can't wait to do this.
- 4:28Oh, like you don't wait to do that?
- 4:30You're talking about sexual stuff.
- 4:33That's what I'm referring to. OK, well, was those, were those
- 4:36the butterflies? Because those exist.
- 4:39They do exist and I'm, I'm tell you right now, I have felt those
- 4:42before. Absolutely I have.
- 4:43I have. But however I will say this too
- 4:46also before the sexual butterflies came in, right or
- 4:53no, not bad, not before, let's just say like now.
- 4:58I would say now I know the difference, that it's wrong to
- 5:02lust. It's wrong.
- 5:03It's wrong when you think about lust and you get, you know those
- 5:07butterflies I used to get back then when you know, you felt
- 5:10those butterflies of lust. That's what it.
- 5:12Like yes, I will say this wrong, but now I know the difference.
- 5:15So now I know how to discern that and leave that to the side,
- 5:19OK. Or like, you know, like
- 5:20basically like through Christ I can overcome that right now.
- 5:25Now the curse that I have now because I I do have a crush.
- 5:30On that, no, Yeah, yeah, I'm not.
- 5:31Gonna lie that's, you know that's.
- 5:33Totally cool man, you know? What I mean, I'll admit, I'll
- 5:35admit I'll. You know, I'll admit too.
- 5:37You admit. Sadly, sadly.
- 5:40No, no, no. It's not a bad thing.
- 5:43It's a good thing. No, you know why?
- 5:45You know why? Because it's it's hard.
- 5:47I know it's hard for you to admit and relax.
- 5:50I yeah, I don't get it. I'm saying because for me I can
- 5:54easily say. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:55Yeah, I like that person. Yeah, yeah, I get it.
- 5:57But now in in this case, now that I have Christ and
- 6:00everything, the only butterfly's like, yeah, I guess it's just
- 6:06like. They're different.
- 6:08Yes, the the person itself, like the the way they are.
- 6:13The way they sound. The way they they sound, but the
- 6:16way also, like, for example, the reason why I developed this
- 6:20crush on this person was because of things God would show me.
- 6:25So then I started to develop afterwards some sort of
- 6:30butterflies, I guess you could say, for that person, if you
- 6:33want to call it that man. Yeah, I know what you're saying,
- 6:35you know, and that crush that I have in that person, unless you,
- 6:43you, you think otherwise. I do think about that person.
- 6:48I think that person is super cute.
- 6:49I think that person is like is very different from from a lot
- 6:53of other girls, very like unique.
- 6:59And then got shown me more on top of that too.
- 7:02It was almost like like when I feel butterflies, I think about
- 7:07all those things. Interesting.
- 7:09It's not anything about body type, nothing.
- 7:11Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 7:13Nothing about sex. Nothing.
- 7:14Nothing, nothing. Nothing.
- 7:15You know, stuff like that, you know what I mean?
- 7:20Yeah, interesting. I mean, well, The thing is that
- 7:28when we're young, we start to like girls.
- 7:30That's normal for a guy, yes. Or vice versa.
- 7:32A girl used like starts to like guys.
- 7:34Yeah. At its core foundation, you
- 7:38should feel some type of attraction.
- 7:42Right. Towards your opposite sex,
- 7:44right? And for a guy, let's be
- 7:45realistic here, you're going to notice is the body.
- 7:48Yeah. Initially, no, no, yeah.
- 7:50You're also going to see, oh, she's cute, Yeah.
- 7:52But your primal instinct reaction is going to be, you
- 7:57know? You want to mate?
- 7:59You want to mate, That's your body.
- 8:00Yeah, Yeah, I want to know what that is.
- 8:02And that's where the knowledge of good and bad comedy, Right,
- 8:04Right. So if tainted early, obviously
- 8:08you'll develop consequences. Then you'll distort what love is
- 8:12and you'll confuse it with lust and love.
- 8:13I believe it's something we've spoken about.
- 8:16We have yes in. The past podcast we have, yeah.
- 8:19So what happens is if you start feeding it, you're going to go a
- 8:23very long time thinking you're in love, but you've just been
- 8:26lusting this whole time thinking it's love, but it's lust, right?
- 8:31Right. And what?
- 8:31What would you say like? Like the trickery is there that
- 8:34you think? You confuse the feeling that you
- 8:37feel in your stomach or if you could say those butterflies, if
- 8:41you will, you, you, you think that's love, right?
- 8:45You've done it so many times that you think that's love, and
- 8:48it's literally lost because inevitably it ends up to the
- 8:52expression to each body, right? Right.
- 8:55If in fact it was true love, there'd be a sense of, of
- 8:58respect and honor to a certain extent, even by logic, right?
- 9:02You don't need anyone to tell you it just by logic.
- 9:04By logic, yeah. You would know, like, no, no,
- 9:07no, we can't do that. I can't, right.
- 9:10We at the very least, oh, we should.
- 9:12I mean, if this is something that we want to do, we have to
- 9:16consider the fact are we for each other for the rest of the
- 9:18life, right? Yeah.
- 9:20Yeah. But we live in a culture that
- 9:22it's OK to explore that it's OK to go on dates with an S, right?
- 9:28And so that's what happens. You start to you start to think
- 9:31that lust is love. Yeah.
- 9:32Love is lost. Yeah, that's exactly true.
- 9:36I feel like I've been there quite a bit where I thought
- 9:39where I thought I was in love but I was only lusting in the
- 9:42end. Yeah, and how do you feel?
- 9:45Deceiving. It's hard to explain how you
- 9:49feel about it, but but then you realize, yeah, it was only lust.
- 9:55It was only. I feel like you have to go
- 9:57through it in order to understand.
- 9:59It not now that I. Don't know how to explain it
- 10:01exactly. Well, you need to understand
- 10:02that Scripture, like Paul talks about, like, you know, that the
- 10:05there's lustful things of the world.
- 10:07Yeah, that's not just referring to sexuality or sexual
- 10:10immorality. No, definitely not, man, no.
- 10:12It's also referring to riches. Yeah.
- 10:16Careers, yeah, all that stuff. Things of the world.
- 10:19Things that catch your eye, right?
- 10:20Paul says I would, I wish you guys stay single so that you
- 10:24guys can to attend to the right business of the Kingdom.
- 10:28But if you're inflaming passion, right, he's implying that there
- 10:32is this desire that a guy has. So you're saying that desire,
- 10:36that desire that the guy has and the girl has?
- 10:38Keep in mind he's talking to a couple, right?
- 10:40He's not talking to a single man.
- 10:42No, no, absolutely. That's so true. 1st Corinthian 7
- 10:45Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I could be budgeting it.
- 10:48Because you in my opinion, I think if a guy is like addicted
- 10:52to porn. You know, we live in that world
- 10:55touching themselves. I know this is a hard
- 10:56conversation, but. Even vice versa with the girl.
- 10:58I don't think you should get married bro, no.
- 11:00No, no, no that it blows my mind they think the solution is to
- 11:03get. To get married, yeah.
- 11:04No, Absolutely worse, yeah. No, no, if you can't solve that
- 11:08problem now with self-control, right, Number one, yeah,
- 11:11trusting in God to develop that fruit of self-control, pray to
- 11:15God to to rebuke because to a certain extent it's you, you
- 11:20want that dopamine effect. You want the euphoric feeling to
- 11:23a certain extent, it's all you. But also this system in the
- 11:27world has been set up by the enemy to, you know, to distort
- 11:33the the the grand design that God has, right.
- 11:36So, you know, men and women, when they spend too much time
- 11:41watching these things, these these profane videos, Yeah, that
- 11:45distorts. It does.
- 11:48That automatically distorts. Even if you imagine it in your
- 11:51mind, if you don't have to see it, it's distorting what love
- 11:55is. You start to objectify women,
- 11:58and vice versa. Women start to objectify men.
- 12:00They expect men to be like this. Right, right.
- 12:04Men expect women to be like this and that's not the case.
- 12:08So social media is really it has brought great things.
- 12:14Yeah, I've facilitated a lot of things for us, but
- 12:18simultaneously it's been dismantling society.
- 12:24So now you about all this stuff. So what would be the right way
- 12:27to have a crush on someone then about?
- 12:31Well, like, well, look, I'll tell you from my own experience
- 12:36in high school. No, actually, my first crush was
- 12:39in elementary school in for Rockaway.
- 12:42I can say her name. She'll never listen to the
- 12:44podcast because I don't even know where she is.
- 12:46Her name was Christina. OK, She was Salvadoran, but she
- 12:49was so cute. And I was a kid, though.
- 12:52I I it wasn't where I was in control or not.
- 12:55All I knew is she's a girl. I'm a dude.
- 12:57I like, I I like this, right. You know what I mean?
- 13:00Yeah, that was it. Then I moved to Jersey and then
- 13:08in in Morristown. I really didn't like anybody in
- 13:10Morristown until I got to participant and then I had a
- 13:13crush on someone. I won't say her name because I'm
- 13:16still, I'm still friends with her from elementary here.
- 13:20Yeah, yeah, right. I had a crush on her.
- 13:24But did that crush come natural to you or?
- 13:28What do you mean natural? Like it just came, you had no
- 13:31control over it. I just said, oh, wow, her skin
- 13:34is beautiful, like her tan. Right?
- 13:36OK. Is that's literally all.
- 13:39I thought, OK, there was moments where I would see other girls.
- 13:42I was like, oh, she has a great, you know, body this specifically
- 13:46that. But I also knew the difference.
- 13:48But I had more of a liking to that person even though they
- 13:51barely had anything. Uh huh.
- 13:53But. They were just, they just
- 13:54treated me nice, so I just liked it more.
- 13:56So you you so. At the at least at that I knew.
- 14:00The personality and. The versus the.
- 14:03Physical. Physical.
- 14:04Yeah. No, I wasn't necessarily
- 14:06distorted. I get that.
- 14:07Yeah. It becomes distorted, obviously,
- 14:12when you're introduced to things that you don't want to be
- 14:14introduced right at a young age. And I'm sure everybody gets
- 14:19introduced. You know, we were introduced to
- 14:21magazines. I'm sure everybody knows what
- 14:24we're talking about. Like in my time, well, I had a
- 14:26good friend that I remember magazine, when he introduced us
- 14:28to that, we were just like turning the pages, right?
- 14:31Like, you know, right then that's when the distortion
- 14:35started to occur. OK.
- 14:37Oh yeah. Right.
- 14:38So because I would then it's pathetic.
- 14:42But you, you were always so excited, ready to want to take a
- 14:46peek at the magazine. So that that nervousness of
- 14:48excitement, you were already connecting it to the person that
- 14:52you liked. And then now you wanted to see
- 14:54her, the person you liked. It's all naked.
- 14:57Well, it's all I think it's all about human nature.
- 15:01I think naturally you just want to do this so, you know, at a
- 15:04certain period of time. But damn, it seems like we're
- 15:07talking about our first crushes here.
- 15:10Well, that was that was that was that but.
- 15:13Wait, wait, wait. I'm just telling you how OK it
- 15:16distorts because you can go your whole life without being
- 15:19distorted. Right.
- 15:20No, no, no, I agree. I agree.
- 15:21I've. There's people are literally.
- 15:22One of one of our closest. Friends, people think, I don't
- 15:25know, one is perfect. It's not about being.
- 15:26It's not about just. They weren't exposed to it.
- 15:28Yeah. No, no, one of our closest
- 15:29friends like. She blows my mind.
- 15:31She blows my mind on how innocent she is.
- 15:33It's crazy, but glory to God. But besides that, like, so
- 15:36you're saying that in the beginning, before the magazines,
- 15:40like when you had a crush on those girls, it was like
- 15:42something natural? At its purest, yeah, it was
- 15:45natural form. It was natural, okay, I knew the
- 15:47difference, right? I would look at the other girl
- 15:51and be like, oh, I like her because of what she has versus I
- 15:55like her more because how she smiles, how she treats me right,
- 15:59how she sounds, how she helps me with my right, right, whatever.
- 16:02OK. That versus the other one,
- 16:04right? So that one that you're saying
- 16:05is like a pure like crush? I see, so we're talking about
- 16:09like I was 11/12. OK.
- 16:11Yeah, yeah. Really knew the difference,
- 16:13Right. Right.
- 16:14So a kid knows the difference. Yeah.
- 16:16They just don't know how to describe it.
- 16:17But they know the difference. Do you know what I mean?
- 16:20So when it gets distorted, that's the problem.
- 16:23Yeah, when you distort that, that like when you start to
- 16:28distort the differences, right? You now know, you now don't know
- 16:32where, right? Because now you're now you are
- 16:36more on the selfish side. Yes, absolutely, yeah. 1 is what
- 16:40you want to feel, right and so it wasn't until probably like
- 16:44junior of high school I so-called thought I had a crush
- 16:49but I was just lusting over her crazy.
- 16:52Yeah yeah, yeah, right. And that went all the way till
- 16:552012 until, you know, I've spoken about this before in the
- 17:00past in the episodes. And that's when God's I told God
- 17:04specifically about God. I need to know once again, the
- 17:07difference between lust and love.
- 17:09Yeah, before I ever. Like somebody else like.
- 17:13Somebody to get married? Yeah, I agree.
- 17:14I need to know. So this is where then I when I
- 17:18met the person in 2012, I met her.
- 17:23I took initiative and said I like you.
- 17:27So that crush that you had on that person, it was because you,
- 17:29you chose to. I choose to because I didn't
- 17:32trust myself. It's so weird.
- 17:35It's so paradoxical because I'm choosing so that my other
- 17:39doesn't choose to distort do. You know what?
- 17:41I get what? I get what you're saying.
- 17:42You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
- 17:44Yeah. So you're basically saying like
- 17:46like. I'll choose before my other one
- 17:48gets ahead of it, so. OK, OK, I now I understand what
- 17:52you're saying. You're saying like I'm going to
- 17:55choose to like this girl right now because I'm not thinking
- 17:57pervertedly or anything and my nature is not kicking in.
- 17:59So I got ahead of my nature because you can't tell God take
- 18:03away my lust in as in regards you're literally literally
- 18:07telling him to take away the design that's in you.
- 18:10That's been in a fallen state. Not because God did that.
- 18:14No, it's just the byproduct of our ancestors did.
- 18:17Yeah. Yeah, right.
- 18:18The knowledge of good and bad. You can't tell God take away
- 18:20this loss, right. Or if you don't end up with that
- 18:23person, well, then I'm gonna stay single for the rest of my
- 18:25life. Come on.
- 18:25Give me a break. Yeah.
- 18:26Like that desire that you have to want to procreate is there.
- 18:30It's it just gets only stronger the older you get.
- 18:32Yeah. Right.
- 18:33So then crushes can become tricky.
- 18:36They can become tricky. If you don't know the
- 18:38difference. I totally.
- 18:39Agree. So that's when I said I decide
- 18:41before my nature takes, Before my nature gets ahead of of me, I
- 18:45decide. OK, but would you say this
- 18:47though? Would you say this?
- 18:48No, that's interesting dude. Everything you're saying is
- 18:49really interesting. Would you say this though, like
- 18:54like you know how like I, I've used this example in the past,
- 18:57but you know how the people slap concrete but then the roots grow
- 19:00underneath the concrete? OK, so before we get there,
- 19:03because you mentioned that before we started recording.
- 19:05OK, OK, OK. And I was laughing because I was
- 19:06like interesting while that was happening, right?
- 19:11I then decided to like someone else simultaneously.
- 19:15OK, but I decided, and once again, I know it sounds like I'm
- 19:20trying to like a cop out, like, oh, yeah.
- 19:23Well, you're just trying to say that you you you kind of didn't
- 19:28go with your will, right? I was going against my will.
- 19:31Yeah, I'm not using that as a cop out, right.
- 19:34I know Diego was like, Nah, he doesn't believe it.
- 19:37Why are you smiling? I.
- 19:39Don't know. I think, I think I like, I like
- 19:41to share a little something. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:43I'll forget. I won't forget.
- 19:45But I feel like maybe if you guys beg to differ but I feel
- 19:49like a crush is a totally different experience for each
- 19:52person though. That is true.
- 19:57I, I'm not going to feel like you.
- 19:58I'm not, I'm not saying you're comparing, but I feel like it's
- 20:01almost like when one person says they have a crush and another or
- 20:04if I say have a crush, you know, everybody's experience is
- 20:08different in some form, but. I then can ask you then, OK,
- 20:12well, if you said you like those two persons, why did you feel
- 20:16like you caught you caught yourself actually lusting them
- 20:19and not it wasn't love or yeah, because if what you're saying
- 20:28then you should be able. To Oh, you're saying you should
- 20:31be able to distinguish between? Yeah, because.
- 20:33If what you're saying people just experience it differently,
- 20:36then how did you know that what you thought you did have four of
- 20:41those, whoever they were, but it turned out to be that it was
- 20:44lust, not love? Right.
- 20:47Right. So what were, what were you
- 20:48experiencing? Was that you saying that
- 20:50everybody experienced it or they just don't know the difference?
- 20:54Or I think maybe it's just more so they don't know.
- 20:57So I I, I believe that people experience what they don't know,
- 21:01not knowing the difference. Maybe that's what it is that.
- 21:04Experience will be different for everybody not knowing the
- 21:07difference. You you're talking about someone
- 21:09before Christ. And even when you come to
- 21:12Christ, you have to unlearn. Unlearn so.
- 21:14Many things right, right, right. Like what did I say when I came
- 21:17in 2012? So God, you gotta.
- 21:19I need your. Help.
- 21:20Yeah, I got to distinguish between the two.
- 21:22I need your help, right? Right.
- 21:23Because mind you, Internet was blowing up now at.
- 21:26That yeah, yeah, the. Access to Yeah, pornography was
- 21:29out of control. Yeah, now it's just completely
- 21:33out of control. Well.
- 21:33Now it's just everywhere. So mind you, I was asking God
- 21:38for that. So the first two people, when I
- 21:41am asking God for this process, I'm taking initiative to like
- 21:45them. I already saw them attractive
- 21:46because at its base form, you do feel attraction where there's no
- 21:51lust, there's no love, there's nothing.
- 21:53It's just I'm attractive. Yeah, right.
- 21:57But either you get ahead of your nature or your nature's going to
- 22:01kick in before your logic brain, right, right.
- 22:05That's tough. But at that point, you know, God
- 22:08has given me the strength to develop the the fruit of the
- 22:11spirit of the self-control. Although there was a process of
- 22:14of learning other things that we were going to talk about.
- 22:17No, no, yeah. But then so happened.
- 22:20Here's another crush though. So.
- 22:22So there's a crush where you can now distort it and confuse it.
- 22:26Then there is a crush. That one you'll learn and you
- 22:29trust in God. You take initiative right before
- 22:33your nature takes over. Then there's that crush where
- 22:36you're curious when you know someone else likes you and you
- 22:41don't like them back. But the curiosity of them liking
- 22:44you initiates a crush because to your to your advantage.
- 22:51Dude, yeah, I'm sorry, bro, you're blowing my mind because.
- 22:55See, that's another one, right? Has happened to me too.
- 22:57Totally relatable and it's all because of us and all guys do
- 23:00this when they find out, oh, that girl likes you, you're like
- 23:02word. Word.
- 23:03Yeah, yeah. It's already in your pocket if
- 23:05you know that. Vice versa, if the girl knows
- 23:08that guy likes you, it's over. It's over, Yeah.
- 23:12The leverage that you have, because what happens when that
- 23:15person likes that person and they don't know how to
- 23:17differentiate, They don't have discipline or character.
- 23:19They're blind. I agree.
- 23:20They're blind. I agree absolutely.
- 23:22Straight up blind. Yes, yeah, no, that's that's a
- 23:25good point you made, bro. I've I've experienced that.
- 23:27I'm not gonna lie. You may not have been able to
- 23:29describe it. Yeah, but this is happening.
- 23:32Yes. Yeah.
- 23:33And I've witnessed that. Right.
- 23:34Right. What happens when that comes?
- 23:37That's a temptation. That's a test.
- 23:39You could fail it. You could pass it, right?
- 23:42But then when you find yourself like what you said, when the
- 23:48weed just penetrates the concrete, which is it happens
- 23:54unexpectedly, unknowingly, out of nowhere, right?
- 23:58Completely out of my control. I couldn't even think about it
- 24:01logically when the nature didn't even take over.
- 24:04It just happened. It just happens like that, yes.
- 24:07That pisses me off. Yeah, I know why it pisses you
- 24:11off. Because I have.
- 24:13You have no control of that. One you have no.
- 24:15Control. Oh, I'm not saying that it's,
- 24:16it's it's toxic. No, no, no.
- 24:18It's just why is this happening? Yeah, it's more like in your
- 24:20mind, it's like, it's like, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 24:22Why do I feel this? Exactly, and that was my first
- 24:26time legitimately. Feeling that.
- 24:29Feeling that. Yes, yeah.
- 24:30So, yeah. So that's what kind of happened
- 24:36to me, man. I'll be honest, I never felt
- 24:40anything really. Yeah.
- 24:43And then once God gave me these, you know, dreams and signs, a
- 24:48lot of things, then the crush started developing naturally.
- 24:52The thing is that you, when this happens, you have to be honest
- 24:54with yourself. Yeah, whoever's listening, like
- 24:56you have to be honest with yourself.
- 24:58Like it's, it's going to sound a little embarrassing even if you
- 25:00talk to yourself about it. Like it, for me, it feels
- 25:02embarrassing, but what am I going to do?
- 25:05Like this is, you know, like. So you, you and me, you have a
- 25:07crush. What?
- 25:11We'll get to that. But I want to know, dear, like
- 25:13you said that you thought you had feelings for these people,
- 25:17but then it turns out that you've been in in lustful in a
- 25:22lustful. Position it ends up being that
- 25:24way because you end up finding out.
- 25:27Sometimes you end up finding out the hard way because you know,
- 25:31there's, I think it, I think when it comes to lust, when
- 25:35you're lusting on somebody, I feel like that either goes, it
- 25:38definitely leads to a bad direction, but it can lead to a
- 25:40bad direction. And it could be two ways or it
- 25:44could be several ways, depending on what the, what the scenario
- 25:49is or if that person even knows that you have feelings for them.
- 25:53And if they know you have feelings for them, then no, that
- 25:58that changes everything. Right, right.
- 26:03I will speak about about when it comes to the lost at least an
- 26:08experience I had. I, I, I, I noticed this till now
- 26:15and maybe, maybe I wish I would have noticed before, but I will
- 26:21say when you are lusting for someone, you don't even realize
- 26:26it, but it actually blinds you. And then you subconsciously, in
- 26:32a way, subconsciously you start to become greedy.
- 26:37Greedy in the sense that, well, it could be greedy in many in
- 26:42multiple ways, I'll say, but you don't even realize it 'cause
- 26:48you're blinded by the lust. Exactly.
- 26:50And that's and it's actually, yeah.
- 26:53That this is the bad, the bad lust.
- 26:55Right, right, right. So.
- 27:00So then there are things in the ground that grow with thorns and
- 27:04thiszles. All right, Is it?
- 27:06This is where I wanted to hear this because you were, I don't
- 27:08know what you were talking about.
- 27:10No, no no. Correct me if I'm wrong bro,
- 27:12correct me. Challenge.
- 27:14No, no, please challenge me. Please.
- 27:18So there are things on the ground that grow with thorns and
- 27:21thiszles, right? Like roses, for instance.
- 27:24What's up? Like roses?
- 27:25Roses. Yeah, yeah, there are things and
- 27:27there are things in Scripture that God speaks like, you know,
- 27:29like all this. You know, if for example,
- 27:32Hebrews, it says that, you know, leave the elementary teachings
- 27:36of Christ, and then it talks about like, like, you know, be
- 27:40careful all these things, stay strong.
- 27:42And says there's a part there too that talks about like those
- 27:46that grow with thorns and thistles, you know, like it's
- 27:49not pleasing to God or God will cut that, cut that off, right.
- 27:53So I was going to say, could something grow pure like a crush
- 27:58and then eventually develop thorns and thiszles?
- 28:01Now if it does develop thorns and thiszles, but that person is
- 28:08meant for you or whatever, can God chop that down and then let
- 28:13it grow back again? That's a very good question.
- 28:16Well, The thing is that when you cut these thorn branches around
- 28:20the rows, they're cut so it doesn't choke the flower, right.
- 28:24OK. Because the flowers that want is
- 28:26the thing blooming. Yeah.
- 28:27So they cut these thorns around it so it doesn't choke.
- 28:30So the thorn branches doesn't choke it so that it keeps keeps
- 28:35growing, right. But let's take the the seed that
- 28:40fell into several soils. One was thrown and it grew and
- 28:43it it was choked by. Yeah, because of the things of
- 28:47the world and stuff like that. OK, OK.
- 28:49Yeah. What happened there?
- 28:51Like the lust? It just choked.
- 28:52It just choked. Yeah.
- 28:53And. When you choke, it dies out and
- 28:56dies out. Oh, so basically what you're
- 28:57saying eventually it'll just die out?
- 28:59Yeah, because This is why I was thinking.
- 29:02I was like, wait a minute, if you're if you're telling me that
- 29:06God has to cut off the thorn and thistles, you're telling me that
- 29:10he also had to place it there and cut it off, meaning that's a
- 29:15mistake. Oh, I see, I see.
- 29:17But if thorn and thistles are a byproduct of this cursed world,
- 29:20based on what? By based on what God said to to
- 29:23Adam, you will now till the earth and it will produce for
- 29:25you thorns and thistles. Yeah, right.
- 29:28That that it's a byproduct automatically.
- 29:31So if you start to think, let's say you have a crush on someone
- 29:36and in it's initial state, initial state, it's healthy,
- 29:39healthy, then you start to contaminate it even before
- 29:42getting married. Remember, lust in this body,
- 29:46it's natural, right? Right.
- 29:48You need to have self-control over it.
- 29:50God, it's not going to take it away from you.
- 29:51No, no, no, no. I agree.
- 29:53All right. And there is a when he says
- 29:55resist and fight, it doesn't mean to run away from that.
- 29:58Oh yeah, right. Right.
- 29:59Some people. Say you should.
- 30:01Oh, sorry, some people say you should run away.
- 30:03From it doesn't say that right. It just wouldn't make sense
- 30:06because it's going to come back again.
- 30:08It's. Going to come back.
- 30:09It's the confronting is what means resist.
- 30:11If it's to resist, that means there's a resistance, that means
- 30:13there's a friction, A friction that means you're confronting
- 30:15it, right? That's besides the point.
- 30:18You self-control. But if you start to taint it,
- 30:21the thorn and thistles now are a byproduct of of what you just
- 30:25tainted yourself thinking those bad things with her.
- 30:29It's cursed. So then after that it chokes and
- 30:32dies out. You're done.
- 30:34That's why I'm saying it's, it's, it can't.
- 30:37And a lot of marriages, they try to solve it by getting married
- 30:40because that's the solution. And and mind you, God is
- 30:43merciful. God is not going to be like, oh,
- 30:45God, God is merciful. And and there will be
- 30:47consequences to that. Yeah.
- 30:49But if you develop the self-control and you have a
- 30:52crush on that person, stay firm. Stay firm, Stay firm, yes.
- 30:56You can think about lustful things about them in in other
- 30:58areas like oh, how would it look like?
- 31:01Like their hair is my. Wife.
- 31:03How would it look like to have a family with them blah blah blah
- 31:05blah. Yeah, because I.
- 31:06Because those are also lustful things of the.
- 31:08World they they are but you know, like for example, there
- 31:11are things in scripture where I think in first John it says like
- 31:15there there is sin that leads you to death but you know
- 31:17there's this sin that that does not lead you to death.
- 31:21Forgot how we mentioned ported it yeah yeah yeah.
- 31:23But like what I'm trying to say is basically like like lustful
- 31:26things in like if I started thinking about like, oh, what if
- 31:29I had a family with this girl? What if you know I I?
- 31:33Is is that more contaminant than the other way of lusting?
- 31:35Oh, no, no. No, definitely not it it.
- 31:38Does distract you? It can, yes.
- 31:41That's don't. Get me wrong.
- 31:41It distracts you. That's where you need to because
- 31:43that could lead you then inevitably to lust on that
- 31:47person. Right.
- 31:48Right. The wrong way.
- 31:49Yeah. Because you're going to run out
- 31:52of a lot of ideas. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:53And imagination that inevitably, right.
- 31:56You're well, you're, you're going to do this to the cup.
- 32:00Oh yeah, absolutely. So there's also should be a
- 32:03sense of some restraint with that as well, not fantasizing.
- 32:07Yes, 'cause I will say this, that part I'm actually working
- 32:12on, not fantasizing. Yeah, yeah.
- 32:14Because it does say in Scripture, it does say clear as
- 32:16day that like those that live in delusion, they eventually they
- 32:20will reap corruption eventually. Inevitably, yeah, That fantasy,
- 32:24which is harmless at first, yeah, will inevitably reap
- 32:28corruption because you're going to run out of fantasies and
- 32:31imagination at some point. Yeah, it's true.
- 32:34It's true. The next specs thing would be
- 32:37like, well, how does it look like if we were in the bed, if
- 32:42you will? So you see what I mean?
- 32:44That's just an example. I know I was a little vivid but
- 32:47I'm just saying to a certain extent lossful things, delusion,
- 32:52fantasies can at some point and will lead inevitably has to if
- 32:58you don't have the self-control. Now there's a caveat to this
- 33:00though. You have a crush on this person.
- 33:05Let's say you do talk and it does lead to marriage and all
- 33:09that. That doesn't mean lust has
- 33:12disappeared. I.
- 33:14Think I think it will never disappear.
- 33:16No, it's an element. It's an element, Paul says.
- 33:19If you and your wife are going to look, oh, and fast and fast,
- 33:23he would recommend you stay, abstain from each other.
- 33:27Why does they need to abstain? Are they not married?
- 33:30Right, right, right. Are they not married?
- 33:32Why should they abstain from something sacred are they going
- 33:34to do? Because there's that impulse
- 33:37that that savageness of a man, and you know what I mean?
- 33:42Yeah. So it doesn't disappear.
- 33:44All right, it's there's a renewing that happens inside of
- 33:48us every day, as you remember we were reading yesterday.
- 33:51That is true. That is true.
- 33:52There's a renewing every day. Every day it's not.
- 33:53Like it disappears. Yeah, yes.
- 33:58Just saying now you say that it can be, can be salvage.
- 34:03Oh, like it can be cut off and then No, no, no, that's why I
- 34:07asked. But.
- 34:08But I want to know your theory, how could it possibly come back?
- 34:13You know, maybe hold on, OK, This is the reason why I've
- 34:20heard of like pastors like it blows my mind, though.
- 34:24That's why I say I, I, I don't agree with if you're, if you're,
- 34:28if you're addicted to like pornography and all that stuff,
- 34:31you shouldn't get married, bro. You shouldn't, in my opinion.
- 34:33They think. OK, so.
- 34:34But but there's there's some pastors that are there that are
- 34:37known, that are actually known in like, you know, social media
- 34:40that you know, they're married to their wives, but they were
- 34:43still addicted to porn even before.
- 34:45Like I said, that doesn't solve the problem.
- 34:47Right, right. That doesn't solve that flaming
- 34:50passion that you have. Yeah.
- 34:51Oh, that means I need to get married.
- 34:52First of all, I was talking to a couple.
- 34:54Yeah. And if you read it carefully,
- 34:55he's talking about get married before.
- 34:58You guys fall into that? Before the fire consumes you.
- 35:01Yes. That means initially you are in
- 35:04flaming passion. You.
- 35:07Your passion is the flame. Get married before that consumes
- 35:11you. If you let that consume you
- 35:13prior to marriage, then you're going to be finding yourself
- 35:16cutting the thorns constantly so that the Rose doesn't choke.
- 35:19So there are consequences. So what I'm saying I.
- 35:21See but when it comes. Thorns and thistles are
- 35:24inevitable. Now, now.
- 35:26So OK, so then then if the thing if the if the thing that's
- 35:31growing. Let it die.
- 35:33Let it die, right? And God will present another
- 35:35one. I'm sorry, but that's that's it.
- 35:38We don't, we are afraid of that because I'm getting older.
- 35:42We are afraid of that. I don't want to be alone.
- 35:44We're afraid of it because I'm burning in this lust.
- 35:47Ask God for self-control and accept the reality that it died
- 35:52either if it was her fault or vice versa.
- 35:54Your fault, right? You're cooked.
- 35:56Right. Wow.
- 35:58Do so then. That's, I mean, how I see.
- 36:01That's how I see it scripturally, yeah.
- 36:03It makes a lot of Christian couples.
- 36:05They go through with it. They, they and then they go to
- 36:08counselling and then after, that's just cutting thorns.
- 36:10Along the way. Along the way all the time.
- 36:12Thorns and thistles are inevitable, yes.
- 36:15Let it choke and let it die. Let it die.
- 36:17So that when you find the one, it can flourish.
- 36:20You don't need to be cutting those thorns and thistles all
- 36:22the time. Dude that is so beautiful.
- 36:24I'm just saying. I'm sorry bro, that is so
- 36:26beautiful. Like I, I understand what you're
- 36:27saying and and I, I'm literally thinking, thinking about it so
- 36:31deeply in my mind right now. So if it chokes with thorns and
- 36:36thistles, let it die. God will make something else
- 36:39grow. Whoa, that's what I OK, I
- 36:43understand it now. Let it die and.
- 36:46Then God will just plan another one.
- 36:48And remember, we cannot cut the thorns and thistles simply
- 36:51because you made a mistake for the other person who made a
- 36:53mistake. He stipulated a law.
- 36:57The law is you will tilt the earth and it will produce thorns
- 37:01and thistles. That's it.
- 37:04He cannot go back on that, right?
- 37:05Right. Him going back on that is
- 37:07facilitating your how would you would say your your desires?
- 37:16OK, let's have redo. Right, right.
- 37:19When God makes no mistake where it says in Scripture that
- 37:22whatever he says it's going to, it's going to be.
- 37:24If it will die, something new will come.
- 37:25Yes, absolutely. That is the design thus far that
- 37:30we live in. Wow bro, at least wow.
- 37:32So then. Do what we know.
- 37:34So then wow, so then the girl that I like did not I know what
- 37:38to pray for more now I pray that you know like that God, I pray
- 37:44that maybe if. If anybody has a crush, right,
- 37:47right. And it's healthy, enjoy it, I
- 37:50would say right, yeah, yeah. Pray that you have self-control,
- 37:53that it doesn't lead to something corrupt and not
- 37:55obsessive or anything because crushing on someone is.
- 37:57It's OK. It's OK, it's.
- 37:59A bad thing? Yeah.
- 38:00It's a good thing, yeah. But I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.
- 38:04No. No, no, you're good.
- 38:05You're good. So basically like I will pray to
- 38:07God, to the one that I like that.
- 38:11I hope that she doesn't like me at first.
- 38:14I really do hope that she does not like me at first.
- 38:17I hope she likes me because she sees that I love God and then
- 38:22that. May or may not happen, I know
- 38:24that's OK. I know, I know, I know.
- 38:25She could initially like you, yeah.
- 38:27And then she can. Eventually.
- 38:30Yeah, God can do everything. He can do as long.
- 38:33As her feelings for you do not become corrupt.
- 38:35Yes, I agree. So that's to remember women are
- 38:39emotionally intelligent, right? If you by any means give them
- 38:45that you are obsessed for her, you could lead them also to to
- 38:49corruption. That is true.
- 38:51That is true. Oh, I heard a pastor say this.
- 38:54Paul washer. You know Paul Washer?
- 38:56Yeah, Paul Washer is the man. He says when God gives you a
- 39:01girl, it's like God is saying bring her home, bring her home.
- 39:05And bring her home. Like the way he says, like when
- 39:07God gives you the girl that you are to marry, uh huh.
- 39:10It's like God is saying to you, bring her home.
- 39:15What do you mean like? Like like make sure you bring
- 39:17her home. That's your duty.
- 39:21Do a man's duty. Really.
- 39:22Yeah, that's what he it's like. That's like what God would be
- 39:25saying to you. Bring her home.
- 39:27Yeah. And what does that look like?
- 39:28Sorry. Sound and safe you are.
- 39:30Supposed to bring her home, so guiding her.
- 39:33Leading her, she is a daughter right in which God is entrusting
- 39:36into your hands. Right, because you're the
- 39:38leader, right? You're the one leading.
- 39:39Listen to that very carefully. Uh huh.
- 39:41God's daughter is not being given to you.
- 39:43You better bring her home at the end of the day.
- 39:45So wow, So so let. Me put it.
- 39:47Let me put it this way. So see, for instance, this girl
- 39:51you did like right or not? Did you do like OK?
- 39:54Oh, Brian. Yeah, Brian, Brian's in there.
- 39:57So say for instance, say for instance, one day her I don't
- 40:04know, say for instance, her car battery dies right in your
- 40:08present. You know you're not just going
- 40:12to leave her alone there, right? You know you're going to you're
- 40:15going to help her find a solution and and stick with her
- 40:19till. She can move her car and go
- 40:22home. That, that is an example.
- 40:26That's an example. But what he means is this.
- 40:29I'll give you an example. I'll give you an example.
- 40:34This is my daughter Ryan. I expect you to bring her back
- 40:40home. Damn there.
- 40:43So basically like in the lifespan?
- 40:45That you are with her. Uh huh.
- 40:48The duties of a man all the way to the end, make sure you bring
- 40:52her home because I gave her if she doesn't turn into my hands.
- 40:58Then he failed, Yeah. Oh.
- 41:01That's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, dude, that's, that's
- 41:06crazy. No, but Amen.
- 41:09Right. Amen.
- 41:10Amen. So that's what he said.
- 41:12So. So yeah.
- 41:14I mean, yeah, having a crush is OK.
- 41:21Yeah, it's having a crush is OK, but if it produces thorns and
- 41:24thistles, let it die out. It will die out.
- 41:26It will die out. I will.
- 41:27Well, we'll kill it. Yes.
- 41:31Well, that was awesome. I, I I'm not even.
- 41:34Joking thoughts do. I learned something new in real
- 41:36time. It's awesome.
- 41:38Yeah, definitely learned that crushes are OK as long as you
- 41:41don't let it. You don't let it corrupt or let
- 41:44you know let anything corrupt it.
- 41:47Don't let it consume you. Yeah, confront it, but don't let
- 41:49it consume you. But I feel like I feel like
- 41:52we've all been in A at a point in time where our crush consumed
- 41:55us. Yeah, that's happened, I feel.
- 41:58Like everybody has been there at least once.
- 42:00Yeah, I have. I have absolutely there.
- 42:02Several times. And women too.
- 42:04They usually never ends. They usually never ends well.
- 42:08But hopefully now it's different, right?
- 42:10Oh yeah, yeah. My perspective now is so much
- 42:12more different. Thank you.
- 42:13God. Yeah, Yeah.
- 42:14But I yeah, I think that's that's all we got for today.
- 42:18All right, everybody, thank you for listening.
