- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts, Adam Todd
- 0:16Speaker 1: Brown and Connor ms Pattern.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm still Adam
- 0:35Speaker 2: Todd Brown.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And I'm unfortunately Connor m expect.
- 0:39Speaker 2: We are your hosts. Yeah, how's it been going since
- 0:43Speaker 2: we recorded last good? You know, talked to Little Kanye.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Talked a little Kanye. I topped off the Brita filter.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You know, I'd like to.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Which which of the hosts would you say is the
- 0:53Speaker 1: worst about topping off the Brita filter?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Everyone? But you really pretty much? Wow? I think yeah, yeah,
- 1:00Speaker 2: kind of Yeah. I think it's pretty much just you
- 1:02Speaker 2: who actually refills it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well, shots, everybody, It's not that hard, Okay, I drink.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I also drink a lot of water.
- 1:09Speaker 2: So yeah, we just got a new Britta filter. A
- 1:13Speaker 2: guy I used to work with posted this thread on Twitter,
- 1:16Speaker 2: Soren Bowie, who is a writer for American Dad Now,
- 1:21Speaker 2: but he used to be an editor at Cracked. He
- 1:23Speaker 2: posted this Twitter thread about how he had an ant
- 1:28Speaker 2: infestation and couldn't find where they were coming from, and
- 1:31Speaker 2: eventually no pulled this old Britta filter out of the
- 1:36Speaker 2: back of a cabinet above his refrigerator and it just
- 1:40Speaker 2: ants just poured out of it. And they had been
- 1:42Speaker 2: planning or laying eggs inside the bridle filter. Yeah, it
- 1:46Speaker 2: sounded pretty fucking horrifying.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah that's rough, dude, I fucking hate that. Yeah, I
- 1:53Speaker 1: Adam Cousins tweet. It's a long time ago. I still
- 1:56Speaker 1: think about it. It's a if we're being honest at
- 1:58Speaker 1: this point, it's just a Britta make water colder or
- 2:02Speaker 1: water make a colder. Yeah, yeah, which I feel like much. Yeah, Yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I got it. My ex girlfriend gave me a brit
- 2:07Speaker 1: Of filter like two years ago and we're still using it.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I had a weird thing I used to do Airbnb
- 2:13Speaker 2: in Santa Monica. I would rent my house out and
- 2:17Speaker 2: just go do shows on the road or go see people,
- 2:21Speaker 2: like two weeks out of the month. Yeah yeah, and
- 2:23Speaker 2: it paid my rent totally.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And I had this The last person who stayed there,
- 2:28Speaker 2: it was this old dude, probably in his seventies or eighties,
- 2:31Speaker 2: And the first night he's there, he calls me and
- 2:34Speaker 2: is like, what am I supposed to do with this
- 2:37Speaker 2: water pitcher in the refrigerator? And I was like, I
- 2:40Speaker 2: don't know. Fucking drink out of it. That's what most
- 2:42Speaker 2: people do.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 2: One woman bought me a new filter once, like, well,
- 2:46Speaker 2: like just.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know, use it. Yeah, I like. I like the
- 2:50Speaker 1: there is something when you get older where every single
- 2:52Speaker 1: thing needs to be explained or it's a problem.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And I was like, you know, most people just use it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: You can just slide it out of the way if
- 3:01Speaker 2: it's a problem. I come back and we had done
- 3:04Speaker 2: this arrangement where he was gonna stay for a few
- 3:06Speaker 2: days and then go to northern California and then come
- 3:09Speaker 2: back and stay for a couple more days. And I
- 3:11Speaker 2: went home in between those two stays and he had
- 3:14Speaker 2: taken the water pitcher and emptied it out and put
- 3:18Speaker 2: it on the floor next to the refrigerator. And I
- 3:21Speaker 2: was like, what the fuck is this guy's problem? So
- 3:24Speaker 2: I refilled it and put it back in, you know,
- 3:26Speaker 2: not thinking anything of it. Then I come back after
- 3:29Speaker 2: his next stay, he had emptied it out and put
- 3:31Speaker 2: it under the sink, like where all the chemicals and
- 3:34Speaker 2: cleaning products are, And it's like, what the fuck kind
- 3:38Speaker 2: of conspiracy does this guy have against water filter?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Well, this is so much of an affront to you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you know.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And he also left some arts and crafts thing that
- 3:47Speaker 2: I hope he did with a grandchild, and it just
- 3:50Speaker 2: wasn't his. But it was made out of popsicle sticks.
- 3:52Speaker 1: And I thought, you're gonna say made out of poppers.
- 3:54Speaker 1: He had like a had like a black panther necklace
- 3:57Speaker 1: full of jungle juice. It was brand of poppers, not
- 4:00Speaker 1: a racist thing.
- 4:01Speaker 2: It was a like made out of popsicle sticks and
- 4:04Speaker 2: it said love on the side.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Ooh, that's that sucks.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And that was the last house. Last time I opened
- 4:12Speaker 2: my place up for Airbnb.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I've considered. I think my house. You've been to
- 4:15Speaker 1: my house. It's probably too shitty to airbnb.
- 4:18Speaker 2: It would be rough.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it would be like I don't know how
- 4:21Speaker 1: much disclaiming I could do and still not get a
- 4:23Speaker 1: bunch of three stars. Like look, all right, we have walls.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It's fifteen dollars a night.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But yeah, and again, at that point, it wouldn't be
- 4:32Speaker 1: worth it, right you know.
- 4:33Speaker 2: So yeah, we're we're talking about clearly we're talking about
- 4:37Speaker 2: conspiracy theorists.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know, just sucking the we're profiling that guy.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We we we we doxed him, all right, We got
- 4:44Speaker 1: his full linked.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Spit a guy turned out it was David Ike.
- 4:47Speaker 1: What Yeah, a little little celebrity.
- 4:50Speaker 2: We're continuing Conspiracy Theorist month talking about David Ike. He's
- 4:56Speaker 2: one of the more interesting. I mean, every consp theorist's
- 5:00Speaker 2: story is pretty interesting, but David Ike's is, yeah, just phenomena.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It's pretty fucking odd it. And he is a guy
- 5:08Speaker 1: that I that I remember, do have heard like mentioned
- 5:11Speaker 1: on like British Panels shows and stuff like that. And
- 5:13Speaker 1: I never really knew who it was. And I think
- 5:15Speaker 1: I kind of knew who I've read about him, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: I didn't know. I just didn't connect that it was him.
- 5:19Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, he's he's kind of a uh he's
- 5:21Speaker 1: a popular sort of reference point over there.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, it's David Ike. I c k E but
- 5:28Speaker 2: pronounced ike. He was the son of.
- 5:31Speaker 1: A well David ickh.
- 5:33Speaker 2: That's how most people pronounced it. I had to google
- 5:35Speaker 2: it before we recorded this.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't want to be disrespectful to this man
- 5:39Speaker 1: in his work.
- 5:39Speaker 2: There's some YouTube page out there and it's just a
- 5:43Speaker 2: girl with a perfectly pleasant voice, and it's nothing but
- 5:46Speaker 2: videos of her pronouncing words.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Really yeah, damn that that girl gets jerked off to
- 5:52Speaker 1: probably more than some points.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And even though she's making a fucking killing on YouTube.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I had the same thing with
- 5:58Speaker 1: this hot girl. He used to do calculus too, and
- 6:00Speaker 1: I remember being like, well, like the way she explains
- 6:04Speaker 1: the fucking integrals. I couldn't even remember a calculus term.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That's how long it's been since I've applied my life
- 6:10Speaker 1: to anything productive.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember shit about calculus. I was good
- 6:15Speaker 2: at math. Math was my favorite subject.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I was pretty good at it too. I remember.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I remember like getting the calculus and being like, oh,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I actually see how math could be like useful for
- 6:22Speaker 1: more than shit that I can have an Excel spreadsheet,
- 6:24Speaker 1: do you know? Being interested by it?
- 6:26Speaker 2: But stuff I'm never gonna do. Yeah, no, I do.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I dropped my calculus class to go do an open
- 6:31Speaker 1: mic and coast to MESA. So what the fuck do
- 6:34Speaker 1: I know about anything?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Probably a good choice. So let's talk a little bit
- 6:38Speaker 2: about David Ike. His father was a World War Two
- 6:41Speaker 2: veteran and this had a huge impact on him. This
- 6:45Speaker 2: is a quote from David Ike about his father's time
- 6:48Speaker 2: in World War Two. He was stunned to see Roman
- 6:50Speaker 2: Catholic churches with untold wealth in places like Naples, surrounded
- 6:55Speaker 2: by unbelievable poverty, while those in such dire need went
- 6:59Speaker 2: on giving to their merciless religion. It made him vehemently
- 7:03Speaker 2: anti religion for the rest of his life. But unfortunately,
- 7:07Speaker 2: he also rejected any idea of life after death because
- 7:10Speaker 2: he equated that with the view of the religions he's
- 7:13Speaker 2: so despised. His Naples stories and many more that he
- 7:17Speaker 2: told me shaped my outlook on life from a very
- 7:20Speaker 2: early age.
- 7:21Speaker 1: See at this point, he sounds pretty cool.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That all sounds normal. It sounds like something that a
- 7:27Speaker 2: kid living in that situation might come away with. Yeah, certainly,
- 7:32Speaker 2: but it definitely doesn't explain everything that happens in this guy.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, career again, it's always one thing. It's like, yeah, yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 1: I went to one meeting and I thought that, yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 1: maybe we should redistribute the means of production. Then all
- 7:43Speaker 1: of a sudden.
- 7:45Speaker 2: He was super poor growing up. This is another quote
- 7:48Speaker 2: from him. On a number of occasions when there was
- 7:51Speaker 2: a knock on the door, my mother would tell me
- 7:53Speaker 2: to hide under the window or behind a chair. There
- 7:56Speaker 2: we would stay still in quiet until she gave the
- 7:59Speaker 2: all clear. I had no idea what there were vampires
- 8:02Speaker 2: like I am legend. I had no idea what this
- 8:06Speaker 2: was all about until later when I realized the knock
- 8:09Speaker 2: was the council rent man coming to collect the money
- 8:12Speaker 2: we didn't have, and when no one answered, he would
- 8:15Speaker 2: walk around the house looking in the windows. This happened
- 8:18Speaker 2: many times, and it's funny. I sometimes still get a
- 8:21Speaker 2: knock in my stomach when there's a knock at the door. Well,
- 8:23Speaker 2: because now it's gonna be like British intelligence, Yeah, to
- 8:26Speaker 2: shoot you in the face or something.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Mm hmm. What's their intelligence in Scotland Yard? It's six
- 8:32Speaker 1: six Yeah, is Scotland Yard Scottish?
- 8:35Speaker 2: No, Scotland Yard is there. I think it's there, Like
- 8:38Speaker 2: National Police.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it might be there, like a secret service, yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 1: something like that, like their version of the FBI. Again,
- 8:45Speaker 1: that's how cute British people are. It's like even their
- 8:47Speaker 1: fucking contract killers for the governments and like a brand
- 8:50Speaker 1: of sheets, yeah, you know, like Scotland Yard. They have
- 8:53Speaker 1: the best summer sausage.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I like how they're like he described the guy as
- 8:57Speaker 2: the council rent man, like the low income housing in
- 9:02Speaker 2: England is called council estates. Uh huh, and that sounds
- 9:06Speaker 2: so fucking nice.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It does, Yeah, the council estates. But if you literally
- 9:10Speaker 1: that's the England is just better at branding. Like we
- 9:13Speaker 1: have the projects right the pjs. Oh yeah, we're living
- 9:16Speaker 1: in the Council housing.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Oh nice, well, Council of State congratulations. Yeah no, it's
- 9:22Speaker 2: bad times.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Kanye is going into affordable housing. He really is. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 1: he's a Donda. His company is gonna make like low
- 9:28Speaker 1: income housing for Chicago or something like that. I saw
- 9:30Speaker 1: a news article and happening. Yeah, and the houses all
- 9:33Speaker 1: look like like like where Kanye would live. So it's
- 9:36Speaker 1: like this like very like like like tiny shitty, just
- 9:39Speaker 1: but it's like, yeah, man, I want to live in
- 9:41Speaker 1: the bathroom of a fancy hotel is basically what it
- 9:44Speaker 1: looks like.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I mean, the bathroom of fancy hotel is usually pretty nice.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Oh dude.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Even the bathroom of the Hollywood Hotel is great.
- 9:51Speaker 1: The bathroom the Hollywood Hotel is great if you if
- 9:53Speaker 1: you want to piss in Los Angeles, do yourself a
- 9:55Speaker 1: favor and go to the goddamn en Does next to
- 9:57Speaker 1: the comedy store. The doors go all the way Florida ceiling.
- 10:00Speaker 1: You got a little apartment in there. It's fucking nice.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Never once have I been hassled on my way in
- 10:05Speaker 1: or out of this bathroom. Oh. I had the W
- 10:08Speaker 1: in fucking Chicago. They put me up for that TV
- 10:10Speaker 1: the TV thing and how I stole the bathrobe. I
- 10:12Speaker 1: stole the towels. I got this fucking great acne like
- 10:15Speaker 1: face scrub. I made out good. Yeah. Yeah, every time
- 10:20Speaker 1: someone mistakenly puts me up in a nice hotel for comedy,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'd take full advance. I'm like nude as soon as
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm in the door.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we went. I did a like press thing for
- 10:30Speaker 2: the first Planet of the Apes movie in this current
- 10:34Speaker 2: reboot of.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It about that Obama aid taking shots Roseanne. That's right,
- 10:41Speaker 1: you're big or true will not be unnoticed by the
- 10:43Speaker 1: Conspiracy Show podcast at this point, a month after it happened,
- 10:47Speaker 1: when this episode comes down and.
- 10:49Speaker 2: They put us up at the W and they were like, yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 2: if you want anything from the mini bar, we cleaned
- 10:56Speaker 2: the fucking every person I think cleaned out their mini
- 10:59Speaker 2: bar and also whatever like gummy bears and shit, like
- 11:04Speaker 2: just caught it in your bag. Yeah, and the next
- 11:07Speaker 2: trip we went on with them, they.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Were like, no mini bar, it was locked. Yeah, because
- 11:13Speaker 1: that's probably fucking four hundred dollars.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah. I was drinking like mini bottles of
- 11:19Speaker 2: Jamison and just alcohol. I never drink. I drank gin
- 11:23Speaker 2: and I fucking hate gin. Yeah, but it's like free
- 11:26Speaker 2: mini bar. I'm gonna kill it.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah sure, uh.
- 11:30Speaker 2: So, yeah, I don't know. I don't know how we
- 11:32Speaker 2: got on all that. But let's get back to David Ike.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Let's talk about his early career a little bit. He
- 11:39Speaker 2: entered into football at age nine, even though he was
- 11:43Speaker 2: a stupid kid. And it's worth noting that's the football
- 11:48Speaker 2: that anyone can do.
- 11:49Speaker 1: It's not like, yeah, it's not like good football.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not like real football. And he eventually, at
- 11:55Speaker 2: the age of fifteen, left school to join a professional
- 11:59Speaker 2: football team, alvm Tree City, and he also played on
- 12:03Speaker 2: the reserve team for Oxford United as well as Northampton Town.
- 12:07Speaker 2: And he came down with rheumatoid arthritis at twenty one.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and fucking nasty disease.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Ends up having to quit professional sports, and what an
- 12:17Speaker 2: age to come down with it.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I mean I have a people close to
- 12:21Speaker 1: me in my life that suffered with that, and it's
- 12:23Speaker 1: fucking brutal. And it's one of these things where it's
- 12:25Speaker 1: such like I remember having hemorrhoids, you know, And this
- 12:28Speaker 1: says like they don't think I'm equating the two, but
- 12:31Speaker 1: I had hemorrhoids when I was a kid, and it
- 12:32Speaker 1: was so bad. I just remember just being like I
- 12:35Speaker 1: remember just laying on the couch looking at my mother.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's like, how do I make this go away? Like
- 12:39Speaker 1: it's just like it does, like to fucking the kind
- 12:42Speaker 1: of any kind of constant pain like that that you
- 12:44Speaker 1: can't turn out for a while, fucking deteriorates your like
- 12:48Speaker 1: ability to fucking think to a point that it's like
- 12:52Speaker 1: I almost can empathize more with someone who's a conspiracy
- 12:55Speaker 1: theorist if they're living with a chronic disease, because it's like, fuck,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I gotta do something.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And it's not like, you know, quitting sports
- 13:02Speaker 2: made the disease go away.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Thing.
- 13:04Speaker 2: He has been living with his entire life, but after
- 13:08Speaker 2: he quit sports, he ends up having to move back
- 13:10Speaker 2: in with his parents. Perfect conspiracy theorist move right there.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's really like the Rhodes Scholarship for conspiracy theorists,
- 13:19Speaker 1: moving back in with your parents.
- 13:22Speaker 2: And in seventy three he started working with Leicesters Advertiser.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I like that I pronounced Lester right when it's spelled
- 13:29Speaker 2: l E I c E s t er. Yeah, and
- 13:32Speaker 2: then fucked up Advertiser. Yeah, that's fine, and then moved
- 13:35Speaker 2: up to the BBC, reporting on football against.
- 13:37Speaker 1: The Big Black.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Exactly. In nineteen eighty one, he worked as a sports
- 13:44Speaker 2: reporter for Newsnight, but also reported on several other stories,
- 13:49Speaker 2: and by the early eighties he was hosting the BBC's
- 13:52Speaker 2: most watched sports show.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like if Terry Bradshaw all of a sudden
- 13:56Speaker 1: was just like there's jews in your water, you know.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's exactly like that. That's what makes his story
- 14:02Speaker 2: so crazy. Like he had a perfectly fine career going
- 14:06Speaker 2: for him. Oh absolutely, he could have kept doing that
- 14:08Speaker 2: ship the rest of his life probably, And.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's a fucking easy gig. Once you're like kind of
- 14:13Speaker 1: the face of a sport, people get used to you
- 14:16Speaker 1: and you gotta you gotta get pretty bad before they
- 14:19Speaker 1: slide in a new a new guy.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Like even Marv Albert, like he had a really gnarly
- 14:25Speaker 2: sex scandal at one point, and he was an announcer
- 14:28Speaker 2: for the Knicks and for the NBA in general, and
- 14:32Speaker 2: like he had this sex scandal in the nineties where
- 14:34Speaker 2: he like maybe assaulted this prostitute or cross dresser or
- 14:39Speaker 2: something like that, and he was kicked off the air
- 14:42Speaker 2: for a while, and eventually people were like, man, we
- 14:44Speaker 2: miss Marv Albert. Yeah, and it's.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Really it's kind of like it's like the closest you
- 14:49Speaker 1: can get, probably in broadcasting, to be like a tenured professor.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. Yeah, So it's crazy to me that
- 14:55Speaker 2: this guy didn't just ride that out and maybe like
- 14:58Speaker 2: do the conspiracy shit in your space time.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, fucking have a nom de plume, bro, Yeah he uh,
- 15:05Speaker 1: which sounds like what French people call farts.
- 15:08Speaker 2: But in the eighties he starts getting involved with the
- 15:11Speaker 2: Green Party and starts.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Smoking that Green Party exactly. Crazy guy.
- 15:21Speaker 2: That was a lizard noise, and he starts kind of
- 15:27Speaker 2: rebelling against the Thatcher government. But also around this time
- 15:31Speaker 2: starts feeling like he's being followed by a presence. Yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 2: and it was.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Not a van followed by a van. You're like, maybe,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but a presence.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You're like, hmm, that's different. Yeah, there's At one point
- 15:42Speaker 2: he said he was sitting in a hotel.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Imagine, imagine being haunted by a ghost that drives by
- 15:47Speaker 1: in like generic flowers delivery van that woe yourself out of.
- 15:50Speaker 1: They're just like, yeah, there's this pizza place that doesn't exist,
- 15:53Speaker 1: keeps driving around next to me and no one at
- 15:55Speaker 1: the wheel.
- 15:56Speaker 2: So yeah, this presence, he says, accompanies him the whole
- 16:00Speaker 2: time he's working for the Green Party, And in the
- 16:03Speaker 2: eighties he starts turning to like alternative and new age medicine,
- 16:07Speaker 2: and everything changes when he goes to see a psychic.
- 16:10Speaker 2: The psychic's name is Betty Shine, which that's an appropriate.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Psychic, that's an awesome name.
- 16:18Speaker 2: He visits her in nineteen ninety and he sees her
- 16:21Speaker 2: as someone to speak to regarding his arthritis as well
- 16:25Speaker 2: as the presence following him. Which you know, you can
- 16:29Speaker 2: handle the arthritis without a doctor, why not hit up
- 16:32Speaker 2: the psychic first.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 2: She tells him after three visits that she has made
- 16:38Speaker 2: a connection with the presence, despite Ike not having mentioned
- 16:43Speaker 2: the presence to her. Okay, he went three visits without
- 16:46Speaker 2: going by the way, there's a ghost following me at
- 16:49Speaker 2: all times?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Also has he? I wonder if you'd ever mentioned this
- 16:52Speaker 1: in an interview or anything.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, I would sit down if I thought a
- 16:57Speaker 2: presence was following me, I would sit down in front
- 17:00Speaker 2: of that psychic and just go do you see it?
- 17:03Speaker 1: First things first?
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, can we address the elephant in the room,
- 17:08Speaker 2: which is a ghost over my right shoulder?
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, Okay, I'm worried about my career, but
- 17:13Speaker 1: mostly I'm being haunted. I feel like that takes precedence over.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So do you think it's gonna work out with Carol?
- 17:20Speaker 1: You know? I mean, I feel like we like each other,
- 17:22Speaker 1: but I love it's like love love or just like
- 17:24Speaker 1: we're used to love. No.
- 17:27Speaker 2: So, according to Shine the Feelshit Lady.
- 17:31Speaker 1: The presence is classic English accent, is.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Chinese in appearance, going by the name.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He is always in a liquor store no matter where
- 17:39Speaker 1: he goes.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Going by the name Wang Ye Lee Yep, and Wang
- 17:46Speaker 2: Ye Lee made several predictions about David Ike and just
- 17:50Speaker 2: predictions in general, that there will be great earthquakes. These
- 17:53Speaker 2: will come as a warning to the human race. They
- 17:56Speaker 2: will occur in places that have never experienced them. Maybe
- 17:59Speaker 2: like Oklahoma, which now leads the country besides Alaska in earthquakes,
- 18:03Speaker 2: no kidding, Yeah, because of fracking.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I was about to say, oil's got to be involved.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah. They overtook California in like twenty fifteen or sixteen.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Fucking good for you guys.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right around the time we gave a bunch
- 18:15Speaker 2: of land in Oklahoma back to like the natives.
- 18:19Speaker 1: There, you touched it last Hey, we're done with it.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Now you have it.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I hope that fuck it. I hope they've become known
- 18:25Speaker 1: for earthquakes because I'm tired of fucking traveling and people going, oh,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I like them earthquakes. I'm like, I literally have slept
- 18:30Speaker 1: through ninety five percent of the earthquakes in California. Yeah.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, they're they're not as big of a deal like I.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Even when I feel one, it's just like, oh, was
- 18:40Speaker 2: that an earthquake? Or yeah, did someone bang something in
- 18:43Speaker 2: the apartment.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I panic way more when my credit card, like the
- 18:46Speaker 1: credit card machine's down at the store, and I'm just like,
- 18:48Speaker 1: are we being emped? That's what I think every time.
- 18:51Speaker 1: That's what I think every time I go to a
- 18:52Speaker 1: place that has shitty wi Fi. I think we're being amped,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and I'm gonna I'm gonna just gonna go steal fresh
- 18:57Speaker 1: water and try to get underground.
- 19:01Speaker 2: It's gonna happen at some point. It is. You're gonna
- 19:04Speaker 2: be right one time.
- 19:05Speaker 1: God help me if I get money, because I'm just
- 19:07Speaker 1: gonna become an EMP preparedness guy. Here's I'm gonna be like, Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: you know what, I really should have put some away
- 19:13Speaker 1: for like health insurance and you know, like putting a
- 19:16Speaker 1: down payment on a home. But here's what I have.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I have a lot of sneakers and rations. So can
- 19:22Speaker 1: I trade these for like a like a loan. I
- 19:24Speaker 1: don't know how this works.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Another prediction from Wang Yai Lee. This one is about
- 19:31Speaker 2: David Ike. He's a healer who is here to heal
- 19:34Speaker 2: the earth and will be world famous. He will face
- 19:37Speaker 2: enormous opposition, but we will always be there to protect him.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Sometimes he will say things and wonder where they're from.
- 19:44Speaker 2: They will be our words. Also, he will write five
- 19:48Speaker 2: books in three years. Politics is not for him. He's
- 19:51Speaker 2: too spiritual. Politics is very unspiritual and will make him unhappy.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And the last prediction one man cannot change the world,
- 20:00Speaker 2: but one man can communicate the message that will change
- 20:03Speaker 2: the world. I think he took that last one to
- 20:06Speaker 2: me and he was talking about Hitler because he gets
- 20:09Speaker 2: really anti Semitic after this he does.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Telling being a psychic and having like aig broken damn
- 20:16Speaker 1: person in front of you and telling them something like
- 20:17Speaker 1: this is so profoundly fucking cruel. I really hate psychics.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I got into a huge fight with a girlfriend about
- 20:24Speaker 1: this one time because she's like, I thought it was fun.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I'm like, they just pray on people like my fucking
- 20:28Speaker 1: grandma who lives on a fixed income and wants to
- 20:31Speaker 1: feel like there's some kind of greater purpose and meaning
- 20:34Speaker 1: in her fucking life. And it's just like, you're fucking Charlatan,
- 20:38Speaker 1: it's it's it's it makes me. I got so pat
- 20:41Speaker 1: and I just I go, I go off on this
- 20:43Speaker 1: big rant or whatever. And she's like, I thought it
- 20:45Speaker 1: was cool, and I was just like, Oh, that's why
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm never gonna this, why I'm gonna be a fucking
- 20:50Speaker 1: lifelong bachelor. Probably it is because I just like, I'll
- 20:53Speaker 1: tell you a little thing. I'll just start She's like, yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 1: how do you feel about psychics? And I didn't really
- 20:56Speaker 1: think about it. I assuming she was gonna like, yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 1: they're dumb as fuck, and I just kind of just
- 21:00Speaker 1: like got. I was just like in a pissy mood
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I just like like a three minute monologue and
- 21:03Speaker 1: I was like, why are you being so quiet? And
- 21:05Speaker 1: I was like kind of trying not to cry.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I think I'm stupid, and.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I was like, no, no, no, no, when you do it,
- 21:11Speaker 1: you know, it's just cool when you do it.
- 21:12Speaker 2: It's cool when you do it. Yeah. I've always like,
- 21:15Speaker 2: you see these psychic store fronts and it's like, shit
- 21:19Speaker 2: is expensive in La. Yeah, how are they affording that property?
- 21:23Speaker 1: If nothing else, No, I wouldn't even go to one
- 21:25Speaker 1: as a goof. I don't want to fucking support that industry.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I went to Cassadega, which is the biggest community of
- 21:33Speaker 2: psychics and mediums in the world. Okay, And it's a
- 21:37Speaker 2: town in Florida where literally every door has a sign
- 21:40Speaker 2: on it offering psychic or medium services. Okay, And it
- 21:45Speaker 2: was garbage. I was there with my girlfriend, or the
- 21:49Speaker 2: girl I was dating at the time, and she went
- 21:52Speaker 2: in first, and then I went in after her, and
- 21:57Speaker 2: then we talked after and basically every question the psychic
- 22:01Speaker 2: asked me was based on something my girlfriend told her. Yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 2: and she was like, she told me the thing about
- 22:09Speaker 2: I see a presence around you, and she was like,
- 22:12Speaker 2: his name starts with a J. And I'm like, did
- 22:16Speaker 2: my cousin Jason die? Like, what the fuck have I
- 22:18Speaker 2: don't know who this is? Like where you're talking about?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it felt like the first woman we tried to
- 22:25Speaker 2: go to was just way too hammered.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Hell yeah, she was supposed to be communicating with spirits,
- 22:32Speaker 1: not drinking. Hey, come on.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But yeah, it all felt pretty scammy.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Ah, any who, David, I took it very, very seriously.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And the next thing he does after the psychic meeting,
- 22:50Speaker 2: he appears on the British television program Wogan, and he
- 22:55Speaker 2: begins the show by describing the importance of certain colors
- 22:58Speaker 2: and the energy they create when explaining why he's wearing
- 23:01Speaker 2: a turquoise jumpsuit. He then describes himself as the son
- 23:06Speaker 2: of the Godhead, causing the audience to laugh. The program
- 23:10Speaker 2: shows Ike's transformation in the eyes of the British audience.
- 23:14Speaker 2: The show's host, Terry Wogan, at one point notes of
- 23:17Speaker 2: the audience's reaction to Ike. They're laughing at you. They're
- 23:21Speaker 2: not laughing with you.
- 23:24Speaker 1: That's rough.
- 23:25Speaker 2: And I even himself says.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I'm just imagining a little kid that looks like Joe Rogan.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He's like, I'm Joe Wogan. Alful Bayne.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I've seen a clip of this show and it was
- 23:40Speaker 2: it was someone talking about time travel, and he was
- 23:44Speaker 2: talking about time travel in this appearance, but the person
- 23:48Speaker 2: was they were more sympathetic to David Ike, and they're like,
- 23:53Speaker 2: everything he's saying is true. And look at this audience
- 23:55Speaker 2: laughing at him. And it was brutal the way people
- 23:58Speaker 2: were laughing at him.
- 23:59Speaker 1: He was uncomfortab.
- 24:00Speaker 2: But like it's you made a good comparison with Terry Bradshaw.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Like if he showed up and was just on Info
- 24:05Speaker 2: Wars Tomorrow, yeah, and was like Time Travels real, man, he.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Looks like Jesse Venturo, but he's not him, you know.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Like that would be strange as fuck. Yeah if that happened,
- 24:16Speaker 2: and that's David Ike. Yeah, Like he was just a
- 24:18Speaker 2: soccer announcer who one day was like, I'm wearing turquoise
- 24:21Speaker 2: because the vibrations it gives off in Time Travels Real, Yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 2: that is that's some strange shit.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Okay, So if time travels real, are the galaxy going
- 24:30Speaker 1: to cover the spread? Help me out?
- 24:34Speaker 2: And one of the at least one of those predictions
- 24:37Speaker 2: did come true. David Ike wrote a bunch of books.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Wow, the one who would have thought the one he
- 24:42Speaker 1: had the most control over it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: The first one, in nineteen ninety four, was called The
- 24:47Speaker 2: Robots Rebellion. In one chapter, Ike suggests that ancient civilizations
- 24:52Speaker 2: in Mesopotamia, such as the Sumerians, were visited by alien
- 24:57Speaker 2: life forms that in turn became their god as well
- 25:01Speaker 2: as the basis of the god of the Abrahamic religions. Interesting, Yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 2: the judgmental this is a quote the judgmental gods, so
- 25:09Speaker 2: widely quoted in the Old Testament and other ancient texts.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Who threatens to bring horrors upon human beings if they
- 25:16Speaker 2: don't do as he tells them, merely reflects the attitude
- 25:19Speaker 2: of the negative ets or channeled entities. They are not
- 25:23Speaker 2: the words of God, but those of the extraterrestrials and
- 25:26Speaker 2: channeled entities who were thought to be gods. Go to
- 25:29Speaker 2: church and worship in et. Well, yeah, that's it's actually
- 25:34Speaker 2: not that different from have you ever watched Ancient Aliens?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, of course you have.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you. When I've moved into this apartment, the
- 25:42Speaker 2: first couple of days, we didn't have internet, and my
- 25:44Speaker 2: TV runs off the internet, and I went to a
- 25:47Speaker 2: store just to buy like a magazine or something to read,
- 25:51Speaker 2: and I ended up buying like a Time magazine Ancient Aliens.
- 25:55Speaker 2: It was like fifteen dollars. It's one of those like
- 25:58Speaker 2: colossy sort of hard cover magazines. Yeah, and make them
- 26:02Speaker 2: kind of nice commemorative things. And it was basically just
- 26:06Speaker 2: a paragraph synopsis of each episode of Ancient Aliens. And
- 26:10Speaker 2: I still read the thing from fucking oh yeah, I bet,
- 26:12Speaker 2: yeah yeah, And that's kind of the theory behind Like
- 26:17Speaker 2: you see hieroglyphics and there's like a fucking flying spaceship
- 26:21Speaker 2: and oh.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there's one pretty fucking there's some pretty
- 26:24Speaker 1: fucking good ones that are kind of compelling, where it's like, oh, yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 1: they see this weird looking kind of craft that's drawn
- 26:29Speaker 1: and it carved into stone. Well, we made something like
- 26:32Speaker 1: that that looks like that, and we put it in
- 26:34Speaker 1: a wind tunnel and it actually flies really fucking well,
- 26:36Speaker 1: and you're like wow, Oh, yeah, interesting, you know, there's
- 26:38Speaker 1: like some cool shit there. And I don't know, I'm
- 26:40Speaker 1: not an Ancient Aliens guy, but it's like fun.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and it it raises the question of how, like
- 26:47Speaker 2: one of the things that comes up in Ancient Aliens
- 26:49Speaker 2: is how did so many different cultures that definitely weren't
- 26:52Speaker 2: communicating at the time, how did they all end up
- 26:56Speaker 2: drawing the same kind of shit in the sky and
- 26:58Speaker 2: what were they seeing? Yeah, and I think that's kind
- 27:02Speaker 2: of the theory he's getting at here.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Yeah, And he's like, you know, basically trying to kind
- 27:07Speaker 1: of putting kind of a hat on the hat and
- 27:10Speaker 1: a hat with the whole, like choose the part of
- 27:12Speaker 1: the religion that you like and apply that to your
- 27:14Speaker 1: life and discard the rest. Where he's like, you know,
- 27:17Speaker 1: it's kind of like the Satanic verses that's Holman Rushti wrote,
- 27:19Speaker 1: you know, which I think, you know, it's a little
- 27:21Speaker 1: bit different, but it's like, oh, the bad shit was Aliens.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Right, right. And he talks a lot about Romans and
- 27:28Speaker 2: the Catholic Church bringing about the New World Order, which,
- 27:31Speaker 2: of course, yeah, he describes the Freemasons as being behind
- 27:34Speaker 2: America's decision to fight the British in the American Revolutionary War,
- 27:39Speaker 2: with Revolutionary leaders choosing Mason iconography for America's later symbols.
- 27:44Speaker 1: That part is kind of true.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there's some Masonic symbol use at work in a
- 27:51Speaker 2: lot of the early America stuff. DC is laid out.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's a very odd, oddly structured city.
- 27:58Speaker 2: It's like this kind of compass shape to it, which
- 28:02Speaker 2: is one of the big Freemason symbols.
- 28:05Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean maybe I'm just always feel like
- 28:08Speaker 1: if you're into sketchy shit, like what is this hiding
- 28:11Speaker 1: clues business? You know, if I if I had a
- 28:14Speaker 1: scene society, there wouldn't be no fucking clues, all right.
- 28:17Speaker 1: It's like I watched the document it's a great shitty
- 28:19Speaker 1: documentary about how Paul McCartney is really dead, you know,
- 28:22Speaker 1: and it's narrated by fake George Harrison on his deathbed
- 28:25Speaker 1: and he's.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Like, yeah, all that one, we were very sad and
- 28:30Speaker 3: we wanted to tell everyone, but they were going to
- 28:32Speaker 3: kill us. So we get clues and all the albums.
- 28:36Speaker 1: You know, and it's all this and it's just.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Like what the fuck would you do?
- 28:40Speaker 1: The whole Like, oh, well, we're gonna put a triangle
- 28:42Speaker 1: on everything so everyone knows, but only the real heads,
- 28:45Speaker 1: you know. And it's just like, no, if the real
- 28:48Speaker 1: secret societies don't have a goddamn symbol, all right, they
- 28:51Speaker 1: don't have a chance or a fucking anything any piece
- 28:54Speaker 1: of paper with their fucking itinerary on it.
- 28:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 28:57Speaker 1: It's just like dudes that get in the room together
- 28:58Speaker 1: and the hash shit out.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's still weird that the symbols are there
- 29:03Speaker 2: and it is.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah. I do wonder if that's more of just like
- 29:06Speaker 1: an esthetic nod. I do wonder if that's kind of
- 29:08Speaker 1: like the joggers of the seventeen hundreds, where it's just like, oh, yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 1: remember when we thought compasses were cool, you know, like
- 29:13Speaker 1: that's the that's the Nike swoosh. But for like power brokers,
- 29:17Speaker 1: you know.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Freemasonry was apparently behind communism and the nineteen seventeen Russian Revolution.
- 29:23Speaker 2: And it also quotes the Illuminati Protocols. The book does,
- 29:28Speaker 2: which are more commonly known as the Protocols of the
- 29:31Speaker 2: Elders of Zion, which are one of the most infamous
- 29:35Speaker 2: anti Semitic writings of all time. Also a pretty much
- 29:39Speaker 2: proven forgery. Yeah, that is not a real thing, So
- 29:43Speaker 2: of course people were up in arms about him quoting
- 29:46Speaker 2: a fake document, like, oh, everything a quote has to
- 29:49Speaker 2: be true. And he also talks about Bill Cooper, who
- 29:53Speaker 2: we talked about on the Alex Jones episode a little bit.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I guess I didn't remember this, but Bill Cooper's JFK
- 29:59Speaker 2: theory was that JFK was killed because he was about
- 30:03Speaker 2: to expose a drug trade involving occult practicing aliens. Oh,
- 30:08Speaker 2: which in retrospect sounds a little more plausible than my
- 30:12Speaker 2: secret service accidentally shot him theory.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I mean we may have to go do
- 30:17Speaker 1: an updated JAFF campisode.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't take the occult aliens into account. He
- 30:22Speaker 2: also wrote another book in nineteen ninety five called The
- 30:26Speaker 2: Truth Shall Set You Free, where here he describes a
- 30:30Speaker 2: race coming down from the Solar system, and it was
- 30:35Speaker 2: a combination of the gods mating with the people of
- 30:39Speaker 2: Earth and they made what the aryan race, superior blonde haired,
- 30:44Speaker 2: blue eyed race.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yep, the one with that you can kill with bread.
- 30:48Speaker 1: You know that you're a mighty species. You know when
- 30:52Speaker 1: you can when you can get tooken out by by gluten,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and you know that shit that baby ducks eat exclusive
- 31:00Speaker 1: poisoned to probably eight percent of us. The Aryan and
- 31:05Speaker 1: he does people who can't drink milk without farting all day. Yes,
- 31:08Speaker 1: the mighty Aryan race.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And he does pretty explicitly say that this is the
- 31:13Speaker 2: master race that Hitler talked about. Like so he's, uh,
- 31:19Speaker 2: I guess kind of in favor of.
- 31:20Speaker 1: That, yeah, kind of a h He's just like, well,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I mean I thought he was a little mean about it,
- 31:25Speaker 1: but he.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Is big on talking about the Rothschilds and how a
- 31:32Speaker 2: global elite cadre of Jews kind of run the world. Yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 2: are responsible for all the bad shit. But he does
- 31:41Speaker 2: stress that it's not anti semitic of him. He just
- 31:45Speaker 2: doesn't think that most of the Jews involved in these
- 31:48Speaker 2: conspiracies understand that they're involved in the conspiracy.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So it's it's like I always feel like with this shit,
- 31:54Speaker 1: it's like, just say, you hate this specific banker, and
- 32:00Speaker 1: the guy's grandfather doesn't have anything to do with it,
- 32:04Speaker 1: you know, just like the color he is like, yeah,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I don't like, you know, the fucking Woody Allen because
- 32:10Speaker 1: he's a rapist, not because he's a Jew rapist, you know.
- 32:14Speaker 2: He's part of a global conspiracy of rapists. All Jews, Jews,
- 32:19Speaker 2: nothing wrong with it. That doesn't mean all juice an
- 32:22Speaker 2: just doesn't mean all Jews are bad. Just Jews that
- 32:25Speaker 2: know how bad they are are bad.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Yeah, just like zoom in a teeny bit. You know,
- 32:30Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, I'm with you, man, fuck the banks.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Then you're like, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. Yeah, we don't
- 32:35Speaker 1: need a fucking I don't know.
- 32:38Speaker 2: He also uh he in this book has a diagram
- 32:43Speaker 2: that points out how global elites created both communism and
- 32:47Speaker 2: fascism with a purpose of setting them against one another
- 32:51Speaker 2: and using the ensuing war as a reason to establish
- 32:54Speaker 2: the UN and the European Union. You know, yeah those
- 32:58Speaker 2: things happened.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty run of the millshit.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe he's right. Then Princess Diana dies, he becomes
- 33:04Speaker 2: one of the main conspiracy theorists behind that.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, what was his take on it? Exactly? I remember
- 33:10Speaker 1: being a little confused. Was he like, a they did
- 33:13Speaker 1: it because he's a Muslim guy?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah? Well his is way the fuck out there. Which
- 33:17Speaker 2: is great about this guy because almost none of his
- 33:19Speaker 2: conspiracies are remotely believable. H Yeah, which is the neatest.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they're all fun ones. It's nothing. We're like, well,
- 33:27Speaker 1: maybe the Tower seven is a little weird. It's all
- 33:31Speaker 1: just like, well, yeah, it was fucking space Hitler.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Princess Diana theory. He suggests that the Windsor Royal family
- 33:41Speaker 2: wanted Diana for the purposes of a sacrifice connor oh duh,
- 33:46Speaker 2: and also because their genetics were becoming imbalanced towards the
- 33:50Speaker 2: non human side and they needed someone with blonde hair
- 33:54Speaker 2: and blue eyes.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you needed that to go right to the fucking source.
- 33:58Speaker 2: And she was a victim of mind control.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Needed a fresh that inbred coffee. The Little Master race.
- 34:05Speaker 2: She was a victim of mind controlled by the royal
- 34:07Speaker 2: family along with her children, and Prince William's birth was
- 34:11Speaker 2: induced for We could probably finish this sentence sentence together.
- 34:17Speaker 2: The purposes of the Babylon Brotherhood Summer Solstice.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yes, yes, so the worst music festival to you, That
- 34:24Speaker 1: firefest is bad. The food at the Babylon Brothers Summer Solstice,
- 34:28Speaker 1: it's all like lentils and babies. Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Uh, he says. She was named after another Queen Diana,
- 34:36Speaker 2: which was the pseudonym of Queen Diana Ross samaramis the
- 34:41Speaker 2: queen of the Illuminati. Her followers migrated to France and
- 34:46Speaker 2: created a space of worship to their queen around where
- 34:49Speaker 2: the Pont de Alama is, where Princess Diana's car crash occurred. Hence,
- 34:54Speaker 2: I argues the location of Diana's death was chosen as
- 34:58Speaker 2: a place of sacrifice. Yeah, again, you're a pretty standard fair.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Adding like, if you're doing a murder hit, why do
- 35:05Speaker 1: you the location is? Do you want a weird you
- 35:08Speaker 1: want to random a location as possible? Yeah, oh, landmarks
- 35:11Speaker 1: you want you want a motel in Jersey, You don't
- 35:14Speaker 1: want to do it in the in the center of
- 35:15Speaker 1: a bunch of outback steakhouses that make a pentagram, you know. Yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 1: have you seen that?
- 35:21Speaker 2: No?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Yeah, this is one neighborhood where like atback steakhouses, just
- 35:24Speaker 1: the locations of them draw a pentagram, like perfectly. It's
- 35:27Speaker 1: pretty sick.
- 35:28Speaker 2: That's amazing. Yeah, that's one of the things I'm most
- 35:32Speaker 2: excited about moving to Burbank. I have an outback steakhouse.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Now, are you an atback steakhouse guy?
- 35:37Speaker 2: Their cheese fries with bacon are a fucking delight.
- 35:41Speaker 1: All right, all right, listening, if you.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Order a steak, they'll just bring you a big ass
- 35:46Speaker 2: bowl of sauteed mushrooms with it for like an extra dollar.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I love fucking yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Good times. I'm way and out back.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Uh.
- 35:54Speaker 2: In nineteen ninety nine, his book The Biggest Secret. This
- 35:57Speaker 2: is where he starts to talk about the reptilia and
- 36:01Speaker 2: all the world leaders being lizards. It opens with a
- 36:05Speaker 2: quote from William Reich, who is a controversial figure in
- 36:08Speaker 2: the field of psychoanalysis who claimed that a biological energy
- 36:12Speaker 2: called orgone existed. Reich died in prison and his publications
- 36:17Speaker 2: were burned by the government. We need to look into
- 36:19Speaker 2: that guy.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that guy sounds good.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never heard about him.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Is this like orgon therapy?
- 36:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Orgon therapy is kind of like primal scream therapy. I
- 36:29Speaker 1: had a buddy that was really into that when he
- 36:31Speaker 1: was in like high school. But it's like a weird
- 36:33Speaker 1: kind of like Catharsis type based, like you know, version
- 36:38Speaker 1: of psychotherapy.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Weird. Yeah, that's probably it's got to be related. I
- 36:41Speaker 2: think that was working in psychoanalysis.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it's fucking it's fucking creepy shit, you know. Yeah,
- 36:47Speaker 1: he's just like, Yeah, I was like nineteen and I
- 36:49Speaker 1: was just studying at U c Irvine, and I like
- 36:51Speaker 1: to go in a room and scream to get out
- 36:53Speaker 1: to something or other.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I don't get out the orgone problem. Yeah, get that
- 36:56Speaker 2: orgon out, get that or get that orgone gone, like oregone.
- 37:01Speaker 1: I have a wife up a girl before you get
- 37:02Speaker 1: the oregon right.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Think it straight man, And yeah, this is the book
- 37:08Speaker 2: where he starts talking about the reptilian shit. In chapter two,
- 37:12Speaker 2: he describes how specific reptilians the Onanaki, shout out to
- 37:17Speaker 2: ancient aliens again live underground in catacombs and caverns. The
- 37:21Speaker 2: Chupacabra and Dracula are both claimed to be references to reptilians.
- 37:27Speaker 2: He brings up the work of another conspiracy theorist named
- 37:29Speaker 2: Kathy O'Brien, who claims that past US presidents are reptilians
- 37:34Speaker 2: and that George Lucas is secretly working with the CIA
- 37:37Speaker 2: and NASA.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Who cares, Yeah, who gives it? I've bet whatever they
- 37:41Speaker 1: do is gonna suck, you know.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I mean, Star Wars, sure its softened us up for Nazis,
- 37:46Speaker 2: but whatever did it?
- 37:48Speaker 1: Really it is it's kind of.
- 37:50Speaker 2: A Nazi story, not like a pro Nazi story. Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 2: fighting fascism kind of story. Yeah.
- 37:57Speaker 1: And it's like kids think Stormtroopers are cool, right, you.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Know, and they're basically the SS.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yeah, so there's that.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so sure, maybe he's working with the CIA. Doesn't
- 38:08Speaker 2: make the original trilogy any worth worth watching. I said
- 38:12Speaker 2: that wrong, That's fine? Yeah, really high. Uh so, yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 2: he talks about the on Naki and Alex Jones appears
- 38:22Speaker 2: as a critic during this time, describing Ike as someone
- 38:25Speaker 2: that discredits others in the conspiracy minded movement. All right,
- 38:29Speaker 2: so now I believe everything David Ike says. Yeah, if
- 38:32Speaker 2: Alex Jones is saying that, I'm.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Trying to do some character assassination on our boy.
- 38:37Speaker 2: And the thing about so it's.
- 38:40Speaker 1: A bit that guy likes money and hot rocks, if
- 38:43Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 38:46Speaker 2: And the thing about his lizard people theory is it
- 38:49Speaker 2: also comes off as kind of anti Semitic, Yeah, which
- 38:53Speaker 2: is just one of the things keeping people from believing
- 38:57Speaker 2: it fully.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I suppose, Well you had me until the anti zionist
- 39:03Speaker 1: sentiment is, what the Fuck'm am I using that? Quickly?
- 39:06Speaker 1: I guess an anti Semitic Zionist is like the people
- 39:10Speaker 1: that believe that Israel is like the God given homeland. Correct, Yeah, okay.
- 39:14Speaker 2: There was maybe we talked. I think we maybe skipped
- 39:18Speaker 2: over it in the Larueche episode, but in the notes
- 39:20Speaker 2: for some something I just recorded, there was a mention
- 39:25Speaker 2: of a guy who just lost his job in like
- 39:27Speaker 2: twenty seventeen for saying that, you know, originally Hitler just
- 39:31Speaker 2: wanted to relocate Jews to Israel, so he was kind
- 39:35Speaker 2: of the original Zionist.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Oh God, and people were like, whoa, you don't know
- 39:40Speaker 1: where he was going to take the ashes, you know exactly. Yeah, yikes.
- 39:44Speaker 2: So, in discussing Ike's Reptilian thesis, David G. Robinson of
- 39:49Speaker 2: the University of Edinburgh.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Well, it feels like a waste of the word thesis,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know exactly.
- 39:55Speaker 2: David G. Robinson, University of Edinburgh, probably during Fringe Fest,
- 39:59Speaker 2: describe the ways in which ike strain of conspiracism differs
- 40:03Speaker 2: from more traditional conspiracism. This is a quote. New age
- 40:07Speaker 2: signifies a particular narrative within the twentieth century Anglo American
- 40:12Speaker 2: religious field, typified by millennialism and Wholeismlism. Millennialism refers to
- 40:19Speaker 2: the teleological doctrine that a radical, progressive transformation of the
- 40:23Speaker 2: world is imminent. It is here understood in contrast to apocalypticism,
- 40:29Speaker 2: which posits destructive rather than transformational, teleological scenarios. Both New
- 40:35Speaker 2: Age and conspiracism are teleological, although traditional conspiracism was traditionally
- 40:41Speaker 2: apocalyptic rather than millennial shut up.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Well, yeah, just like doom or gloom. You know, it's like, right,
- 40:50Speaker 1: this is a doomer salvation.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Yeah, doom and doom, but just different kinds of doom. Yeah. So,
- 40:58Speaker 2: the one thing surprising about this guy very anti Trump, yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 2: which is unusual for conspiracy theorists. A lot of conspiracy
- 41:06Speaker 2: theorists took it as like a blow to the elites
- 41:09Speaker 2: or whatever, because Trump's definitely not one of the elites. Yeah, uh,
- 41:14Speaker 2: and so they supported him. But David Ike actually took
- 41:18Speaker 2: a lot of issue with Trump. He noted the irony
- 41:21Speaker 2: that Trump had swimmed throughout life in the swamp that
- 41:24Speaker 2: he claimed to be draining.
- 41:26Speaker 1: You know what, I kind of just realized about Trump,
- 41:28Speaker 1: if he like in terms of like him putting him
- 41:30Speaker 1: in like a rich guy elite, I think he would
- 41:33Speaker 1: be like the puffy you know, because Puffy's not a
- 41:36Speaker 1: good rapper. He's not particularly talented. He just kind of
- 41:40Speaker 1: like pimped out his name and made some decent like
- 41:44Speaker 1: branding decisions, right, you know, so I feel like a
- 41:47Speaker 1: rappers begrudgingly Oh yeah, yeah, no, I said, Puff liked
- 41:51Speaker 1: it neat. You know, but they're they're they're just like,
- 41:53Speaker 1: h Puffy's here. I don't think. I do think Puffy
- 41:54Speaker 1: shows up to a party and people are like, oh great,
- 41:56Speaker 1: it's Puffy. I think like, hey, Puff, what's going on?
- 41:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, like the more the actually talented Yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 1: At the at the fucking ceremony in the woods, you
- 42:05Speaker 1: know where fucking you know, like the Berkshire Hathaway execs
- 42:08Speaker 1: are all like, you know, eating a child.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, are a fucking around an owl effigy Yeah, hey
- 42:13Speaker 2: don Yeah. I wonder if he even got invited to
- 42:18Speaker 2: ship like that.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I think he's he's too much of a fucking blabbermouth.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I don't think you got to do any of that ship.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I think they I think they made him feel like
- 42:24Speaker 1: he did. Yeah, I think they kind of did. The
- 42:27Speaker 1: Little Brother. Here's the mad Cats controller. It's not plugged
- 42:29Speaker 1: in your sonic, you know.
- 42:31Speaker 2: I could see that. So yeah, that's that's pretty much.
- 42:35Speaker 2: David Ike started out as a football announcer and host
- 42:40Speaker 2: ended up Reptilian conspiracy theorist connoisseur.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and you got to give, honestly, one of the
- 42:49Speaker 1: better careers an athlete can have after their playing days
- 42:52Speaker 1: are over. Yeah, it's this or car dealership.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Like I always thought it was neat that Jake
- 42:56Speaker 2: Plumber became a handball player after being a quarterback for
- 43:00Speaker 2: all those years, But this is so much cool.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Oh this is great. Yeah. Yeah. How many books does he.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Have exactly probably a few about handball. He's apparently very good, Okay,
- 43:08Speaker 2: which that's interesting. I didn't know you could even be
- 43:11Speaker 2: that good at handball.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I didn't know there was a competitive level.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's apparently. I mean, I'm sure he's not making
- 43:18Speaker 2: quarterback money or money at all, but.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I mean it's not that fucking the ESPN from Dodgeball
- 43:23Speaker 1: eight vo jo.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's probably a thing where you get sponsors,
- 43:27Speaker 2: like handball still has to have equipment and shit.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, well it's like I watched like the lumberjack
- 43:32Speaker 1: games at the lobby of like a fucking like a
- 43:35Speaker 1: mechanic when I was out in Oklahoma and I was
- 43:37Speaker 1: just like, brought to you by Craftsman. Saws the only
- 43:40Speaker 1: one that the real lumberjacks use. You want to be
- 43:42Speaker 1: like this guy who's famous for eight seconds in this
- 43:45Speaker 1: one fucking local TV carryer provider, you buy Craftsman. It's
- 43:50Speaker 1: like that, but it's just like, oh yeah, Adidas will
- 43:52Speaker 1: give you guys a fucking Chipotle gift card if you
- 43:54Speaker 1: guys all wear their shoes while you play handball.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Have you ever watched Forged in Fire.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I Fortune and Fire O good. It's the fucking greatest man.
- 44:03Speaker 2: I love when they chop the pig at the and
- 44:06Speaker 2: like when they're testing everyone's knife and he turns around
- 44:08Speaker 2: and goes, your blade will kill?
- 44:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, it's like a little cut that ship rocks.
- 44:14Speaker 2: That show was so fun.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I watched that show on an airplane the other day.
- 44:17Speaker 1: It was so good. That was like I was going
- 44:19Speaker 1: through the queue and I never give a shit of it.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I have Forged in Fire marathon, Sign
- 44:24Speaker 1: me the fuck up.
- 44:25Speaker 2: It's just people making knives, oh.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's what's all about the people. It's all
- 44:29Speaker 1: about just like this guy is a hobby knives maker
- 44:33Speaker 1: who drives a truck and uh now he's on TV
- 44:36Speaker 1: and you get to watch that just happen. You get
- 44:38Speaker 1: to just see what happens. It's so good, it's so
- 44:40Speaker 1: fucking great. So, yeah, that's David Ike. Go out and
