0:09
SPEAKER_01: Hi, and welcome to today's episode of Sass and Sips.
0:12
SPEAKER_01: Today we're gonna talk about reunion, season one, obviously, episode two, nineteen eighty seven.
0:22
SPEAKER_01: I'm one of your hosts.
0:23
SPEAKER_01: I'm Lisa, and today I'm sipping on I'm taking a page out of Agnes's book, and I threw a little whiskey in my coffee because I'm a little under the weather, and you know, alcohol kills germs and such, so they say.
0:40
SPEAKER_01: Let's see.
0:42
SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes, and I'm drinking mango Moscato with my frozen mango pieces.
0:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm a happy girl.
0:50
SPEAKER_00: And a pretty like actual wine glass this time.
0:53
SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
0:54
SPEAKER_01: I'd rather have that.
0:56
SPEAKER_00: Come over.
0:57
SPEAKER_01: Oh.
0:58
SPEAKER_00: There's plenty.
1:02
SPEAKER_01: You have any hot takes?
1:05
SPEAKER_00: I um it's funny, there was a particular scene with uh present day with Carlo speaking, and I knew who she was speaking to, and I got it at the end.
1:14
SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, I got it right.
1:15
SPEAKER_00: I didn't have to wait six seasons to find out that I was right.
1:18
SPEAKER_01: Ha ha.
1:22
SPEAKER_01: I have two things.
1:27
SPEAKER_01: One is hot take and one is housekeeping.
1:30
SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna start with housekeeping.
1:33
SPEAKER_01: I I have put the link for the series in the in the show notes, like to link you over to YouTube where we're watching.
1:42
SPEAKER_01: And the first part of episode two is not there.
1:47
SPEAKER_01: So we're we miss like the first 10-ish minutes.
1:52
SPEAKER_00: But luckily it's easy to follow.
1:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it doesn't, I don't think we really missed too much, but um, but so there's that.
2:00
SPEAKER_00: And then you have us here for, so we can kind of work out the kinks for you and put our own spin on it.
2:07
SPEAKER_01: And then the second thing, my second hot take is this episode just wasn't as interesting as the first one.
2:18
SPEAKER_01: So I hope that the rest pick back up.
2:22
SPEAKER_01: But with that being said, I went back because we had questions.
2:28
SPEAKER_01: So I went back and I rewatched the first episode.
2:32
SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I still get the impression that Jenna's a hoe, but no, she didn't sleep with the professor.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: In the first scene, we literally see Jenna putting a record on, and ironically enough, it's Papa Don't Preach.
2:47
SPEAKER_01: And I don't care how critical I am.
2:50
SPEAKER_01: When you make a TV show and the consumers watch said TV show, you have a big budget.
2:56
SPEAKER_01: So it's not like you and I are putting on a skit in our backyard, you know?
3:01
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, whatever.
3:03
SPEAKER_01: Say what you will about me.
3:04
SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
3:06
SPEAKER_01: I stand by what I said.
3:08
SPEAKER_01: I said what I motherfucking said.
3:11
SPEAKER_01: Everything should feel cohesive.
3:15
SPEAKER_01: And it was Craig's car because Carlos says something like, Oh yeah, he picked me up first.
3:25
SPEAKER_01: So I guess it was another one of his cars.
3:28
SPEAKER_01: And after the crash scene, I think the pickup hit some kind of a barrier after it hit Craig and Will.
3:38
SPEAKER_01: Thus causing him to have more damage.
3:40
SPEAKER_01: It looked like it it hit something else.
3:43
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
3:44
SPEAKER_01: And I also wondered why didn't we ever think of Alger as a suspect?
3:50
SPEAKER_01: Alger is the A B guy.
3:53
SPEAKER_01: Why can't he be a suspect?
3:55
unknown: Okay.
3:56
SPEAKER_01: And Jenna only says she's going to the city to become a star.
3:59
SPEAKER_01: And we know now that's New York.
4:02
SPEAKER_00: That's the city.
4:03
SPEAKER_00: That's what everyone in the state of New York, especially if I girls, calls Manhattan.
4:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just the city.
4:08
SPEAKER_00: Where are you going to the city?
4:11
SPEAKER_00: So if anyone ever says where you're going to Manhattan, they're not from New York.
4:16
SPEAKER_01: People out here, they're always like, Oh, do you do you want to go to New York?
4:21
SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, like it's an adventure?
4:24
unknown: The fu it it's right.
4:26
SPEAKER_01: I can see it.
4:27
SPEAKER_01: Like, what?
4:31
SPEAKER_01: They say it like it's so far, like it's some distant land.
4:36
SPEAKER_00: At least they go there.
4:38
SPEAKER_00: The people here have, they're like, well, why do you want to go to the next one?
4:40
SPEAKER_01: But they but they don't.
4:42
SPEAKER_01: Most people around me, so where I live, there's a lot of people who commute because this is a very commutable neighborhood, which is one of the reasons we end up here.
4:57
SPEAKER_01: However, unless they commute, they really just don't leave.
5:04
SPEAKER_00: Ever?
5:05
SPEAKER_00: Because I find that here.
5:06
SPEAKER_00: They're like, well, why do you want to go there?
5:08
SPEAKER_00: Like, what the fuck what do you mean?
5:09
SPEAKER_00: Why do I want to go there?
5:10
SPEAKER_00: Don't you travel?
5:10
SPEAKER_00: Don't you get a fucking plane?
5:11
SPEAKER_00: Don't you put a car longer than a half hour?
5:14
SPEAKER_00: People do not drive their cars longer than a half hour if they can avoid it.
5:17
SPEAKER_00: It's weird.
5:18
SPEAKER_01: Listen.
5:19
SPEAKER_01: I understand somebody in Wisconsin being like the thought of going to New York because that involves a plane.
5:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about New York.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: I'll talk about like legit, if it takes 30 minutes outside their normal driving range, they don't want to go.
5:32
SPEAKER_00: When I say a bubble, I legit mean a bubble.
5:36
SPEAKER_01: Well, 30 minutes here doesn't fly because you can sit in traffic just that long to get to the highway.
5:40
SPEAKER_01: So like these people are just weird.
5:42
SPEAKER_00: And I say 30 minutes, I'm over exaggerating.
5:44
SPEAKER_00: Like they okay, Chicago's an hour and a half.
5:46
SPEAKER_00: They're like, well, why why would you want to go to why would you want to go to this Chicago?
5:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why would you not want to leave your five-mile radius?
5:55
SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I'd rather deal with the New Jersey than Midwest.
6:03
SPEAKER_00: So can I say there's something on camera while we're recording?
6:07
SPEAKER_00: So because we are watching the show that takes place in the 80s, mostly back and forth in the 80s.
6:13
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
6:13
SPEAKER_00: Living in the 80s, I am totally bringing back blue eye shadow.
6:17
SPEAKER_00: I am so loving this right about now.
6:19
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, we're rocking our little 80s outfits and backgrounds.
6:24
SPEAKER_01: Agnes has white snake, and I'm sitting in the golden girls living room with my Prince T-shirt and a side pony.
6:29
SPEAKER_00: But you can't see.
6:31
SPEAKER_00: And it's pink like shimmer lifts like that.
6:33
SPEAKER_00: So okay, that was fun.
6:35
SPEAKER_00: I had fun.
6:36
unknown: Okay.
6:37
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for joining the show.
6:39
SPEAKER_01: I have some other notes.
6:41
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sorry.
6:43
SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
6:45
SPEAKER_01: When the detective puts the locket, um, she never actually says it's hers.
6:54
SPEAKER_01: She says it's from a long time ago.
6:56
SPEAKER_01: And in the next scene, in the next flashback scene, we do see her wearing it.
7:02
SPEAKER_01: But as far as the detective conversation, she never says it's hers.
7:06
SPEAKER_01: She just says it's from a long time ago.
7:09
SPEAKER_01: Carla is the last person to see the deceased alive.
7:13
SPEAKER_01: And then that last scene in the original episode, like watching it again, I'm like, oh my goodness.
7:21
SPEAKER_01: I didn't realize how she's like the wind this whole thing is.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: Like any minute, like she's like the wind.
7:29
SPEAKER_01: Oh.
7:30
SPEAKER_01: I expected Patrick Swayze to come and start singing.
7:33
SPEAKER_01: You know?
7:34
SPEAKER_01: But okay, anyway.
7:35
SPEAKER_01: That's that was it on my episode one.
7:39
SPEAKER_00: Recap.
7:40
SPEAKER_00: Recap.
7:41
SPEAKER_00: Questions and answers.
7:42
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
7:45
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
7:46
SPEAKER_01: Um, and yeah, my hot take for this one is that yeah, progressive story.
7:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it wasn't a bad episode, but it just I just didn't I don't know.
7:56
SPEAKER_01: I just didn't find it as fun as the first one.
7:59
SPEAKER_00: I agree.
8:00
SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking and I'm hoping because the first episode has to catch you, has to be has to give you all kinds of background information to catch you.
8:07
SPEAKER_00: And then the second episode is the beginning of the story, so to speak.
8:12
SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
8:13
SPEAKER_00: Like, here we go now.
8:15
SPEAKER_00: And I so I'm trying to hope it like each week it's gonna get better.
8:19
SPEAKER_00: It's just, you know, yeah.
8:21
SPEAKER_00: Usually the first episode of a show, usually we are reality shows.
8:25
SPEAKER_00: First episode reality shows suck because it's a lot, a lot of background, and then after that it picks up.
8:30
SPEAKER_00: I'm hoping that it's it's something along those lines.
8:33
SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, we grabbed you.
8:35
SPEAKER_00: Now we're gonna get you situated to what's gonna happen the rest of the season.
8:40
SPEAKER_01: Are you taking the lead or do you need me to?
8:43
SPEAKER_00: I can.
8:44
SPEAKER_00: I prepared this time.
8:46
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
8:46
SPEAKER_00: And I remembered that I have like voice to text, because I forget that I have voice to text.
8:51
SPEAKER_00: Like everyone has voice to text, but I forget.
8:53
SPEAKER_00: So I was actually able to like put my notes in without having to stopping typing, starting, typing, starting, stopping.
9:01
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
9:02
SPEAKER_00: When union, season one of one, episode two, nineteen eighty seven.
9:08
SPEAKER_00: Since we're missing the first 10 minutes or so, we open up to Carla knocking on Jenna's door in New York a week early for London.
9:16
SPEAKER_00: Why a week early, I ask.
9:18
SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
9:44
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we don't know if that if that gave a reason, or we just never get a reason.
9:51
SPEAKER_00: Right, or it's not even worth a reason.
9:53
SPEAKER_01: So but it's and it's spring.
9:55
SPEAKER_01: We know that it's spring.
9:57
SPEAKER_01: So it's 1987 and it's spring because she's talking about spring break.
10:01
SPEAKER_01: So it's probably like April-ish.
10:04
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
10:05
SPEAKER_00: No, it is April.
10:06
SPEAKER_00: I remember something happened.
10:07
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, it's April.
10:08
SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it was, but something.
10:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's weird.
10:11
SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm a oh, because she said that um I think up based on Samantha's pregnancy and I count it and she just gave birth.
10:18
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wondering, okay, so it's like April.
10:20
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
10:20
SPEAKER_00: And then, oh, I know how remember is April.
10:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
10:23
SPEAKER_00: At the end, when Jenna is having a fight with Aaron, and he goes, three months ago on New Year's Eve, we were just having sex.
10:30
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay.
10:36
SPEAKER_00: Um, so she comes in, and who is she living with?
10:40
SPEAKER_00: Aaron.
10:41
SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
10:42
SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
10:42
SPEAKER_00: I don't I didn't get the impression he was living there.
10:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, we don't know at the point.
10:47
SPEAKER_00: Like he'd come out the back room.
10:48
SPEAKER_00: He's like, wait, what are you doing here?
10:50
SPEAKER_00: This is from Carla's perspective.
10:52
SPEAKER_01: Right, but then but then that's when she he says, Oh, um, it was spring break.
10:56
SPEAKER_01: Because she goes, I thought you were gonna be on a road trip, and he's like, Yeah, but it was spring break, so I came down here.
11:01
SPEAKER_00: Oh, living staying, he's with Jenna.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: So she's this is Carl, like, okay, fine.
11:06
SPEAKER_00: Great.
11:07
SPEAKER_00: Come and see Jenna.
11:08
SPEAKER_00: The love of my life is here, coming out of her back room.
11:12
SPEAKER_00: Nice, great.
11:14
SPEAKER_00: A little bit of hindsight.
11:15
SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm guessing that 10 minutes that we missed.
11:17
SPEAKER_00: Carl and Samantha were still in London when a very pregnant Samantha gives goes into labor and gives birth to a baby girl.
11:24
SPEAKER_00: She then gives the baby up for adoption.
11:28
SPEAKER_00: Sad.
11:29
SPEAKER_00: Um, Samantha's very confused at this point.
11:33
SPEAKER_01: You think that that was spoken about in the first 10 minutes?
11:37
SPEAKER_01: Yes, it was.
11:37
SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like it wasn't.
11:39
SPEAKER_00: Well, according to like the synopsis that was found online is part of the synopsis.
11:45
SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
11:46
SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
11:49
SPEAKER_01: I only figured I only didn't think so because when she was in the hospital, the and the nurse is like, when did you give birth?
11:57
SPEAKER_01: Then it was like, there's a pause.
11:59
SPEAKER_01: I feel like that pause was for our the audience benefit.
12:03
SPEAKER_01: Like, does she give birth?
12:04
SPEAKER_01: Wait, what?
12:05
SPEAKER_01: Where's the baby?
12:06
SPEAKER_01: Because the first time we see Sam, there's no baby, she's not pregnant.
12:11
SPEAKER_01: So I guess I guess it could go either way.
12:16
SPEAKER_00: Well, because then it was in the synopsis.
12:17
SPEAKER_00: I'm assuming it wasn't.
12:19
SPEAKER_00: And it was like, so the thing about this particular show that kind of drives me baddie, based on the synopsis that we find online and based on where the show goes, writing my little show notes are a lot difficult because synopsis gives me like what happens to them individually.
12:40
SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, for example, Samantha, and it tells you what happened with Samantha throughout the show.
12:47
SPEAKER_00: And then each one, as a, you know, it doesn't give you a linear, like what happened scene by scene by scene.
12:54
SPEAKER_00: So it's a little wonky.
12:56
SPEAKER_01: All right.
12:56
SPEAKER_01: So you want, do you want me to do it?
12:58
SPEAKER_01: Because I kind of wrote it chronologically.
13:00
SPEAKER_00: You actually wrote it.
13:01
SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's fine.
13:02
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
13:03
SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
13:03
SPEAKER_01: I have a question about Jenna's apartment.
13:07
SPEAKER_01: In the last episode when we were talking about what color our 80s were, and you say you you didn't you didn't have that experience because you lived in high-rise and whatever.
13:15
SPEAKER_01: So did your apartment look like her apartment?
13:17
SPEAKER_01: Her Manhattan apartment?
13:19
SPEAKER_01: No, because my mom still had kids.
13:21
SPEAKER_02: So all right.
13:26
SPEAKER_01: They're con there uh Carla's congratulating Jenna on her success because she's living in this like fancy apartment.
13:34
SPEAKER_01: And we find out that she was the girl on the top of the car in a music video.
13:40
SPEAKER_01: And then we see Sam, I think we go right to Sam.
13:49
SPEAKER_01: Will is walking past her house.
13:52
SPEAKER_01: And hold on a second.
13:54
SPEAKER_01: Because I didn't write that part down, because nothing really happened.
13:58
SPEAKER_00: Well, he did say, um, he just said, well, you know, I was thinking about how what could have happened if you actually were pregnant.
14:09
SPEAKER_00: So I'm assuming that first.
14:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, oh, she's she's surprised to see him because she didn't think he was getting out yet.
14:14
SPEAKER_00: He was getting out, and apparently, based on what he said, at one point she probably told him, Yeah, sorry, I was I wasn't pregnant somehow.
14:22
SPEAKER_01: Well, she told him she told him that in the in the first episode.
14:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, remember she was like, No, false alarm, blah, blah, blah.
14:29
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's right, that's right.
14:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay, but we're so busy talking about like the murderers and out.
14:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
14:34
SPEAKER_01: So he says, Yeah, because then we would have been happy.
14:37
SPEAKER_01: We, you know, I never would have gone to jail, we would have been a family, we would have been married.
14:40
SPEAKER_01: First of all, Buddy, how do you know that that's anything that she wants?
14:45
SPEAKER_01: You're making all these plans.
14:47
SPEAKER_01: Oh, did you ask?
14:49
SPEAKER_01: Like, you slept with her once, as far as we've been told.
14:53
SPEAKER_01: You think that she just loves you and wants to marry you and have more of your babies?
14:57
SPEAKER_01: Like, sit down.
15:00
SPEAKER_01: Present day, the detective goes to some shop to question an ex-felon about his gun, and the guy's like, I haven't seen that gun, and find out he's Will's ex-cellmate, and then he brings us back to 1987.
15:19
SPEAKER_01: The guy shared a cell with Will, I forgot his name.
15:26
SPEAKER_01: They start to become friendly, they hang, they're hanging out a little bit more on the outside, and he basically is getting Will into trouble.
15:38
SPEAKER_01: And Craig is starting to kind of find out.
15:43
SPEAKER_01: Actually, let me go back a second.
15:45
SPEAKER_01: When Craig and when Will and Sam have that conversation, Will wants to tell Craig, and Sam asks to let him do let her do it.
15:57
SPEAKER_01: So then in the meantime, Will is hanging out with this guy.
16:03
SPEAKER_01: That guy, some guy starts a starts shit with Will.
16:06
SPEAKER_01: Will is like, no, no, no, it's cool, whatever, because he doesn't want to get into more trouble.
16:10
SPEAKER_01: The guy's like, no, let's let's start some shit.
16:14
SPEAKER_01: So he starts some shit, and then Will is already like, oh, buddy, what the fuck are you doing?
16:23
SPEAKER_01: Mind you, that guy realizes that Will took the rap for Craig.
16:29
SPEAKER_01: He's been casing Craig's house, and then decides, Will is gonna help me break in because why not?
16:39
SPEAKER_01: When Sam and Craig are out, Sam it looks like she's gonna start to tell Craig about what happened, the truth.
16:52
SPEAKER_01: But she has some stomach pains.
16:54
SPEAKER_01: He rushes her to the hospital, and we find out that it's uterine complications from her giving birth last month.
17:03
SPEAKER_01: And we find out that she gave birth, she gave the baby up for adoption, but because of the complications, she probably will never be able to carry a child again.
17:13
SPEAKER_01: And the nurse is like, oh, but you're so lucky because you already had a kid.
17:16
SPEAKER_01: So now Sam gave the kid up for adoption, but she wants the kid back.
17:21
SPEAKER_01: So she's calling London asking for some help getting information, and the woman is like, okay, let me let me work on it.
17:30
SPEAKER_01: Just give me a few days.
17:32
SPEAKER_01: So while Craig is visiting Sam in the hospital, um ex-jail guy and Will are are gonna go rub Craig's house.
17:46
SPEAKER_01: Will doesn't want to help, but the guy's like literally putting a gun to his head.
17:52
SPEAKER_01: So they go, because Will knows the alarm.
17:56
SPEAKER_01: Craig catches them, there's a fight, Craig gets the gun, he shoots the guy, but he doesn't kill them.
18:04
SPEAKER_01: He he just like shoots him like in the arm or something.
18:09
SPEAKER_01: And Will says he can't call the cops because since he's on probation, he can't he can't be involved in any of this.
18:17
SPEAKER_01: So it's like cool.
18:18
SPEAKER_01: Everybody just nobody will say anything to anybody about anything, and we'll all just live our lives because that always works.
18:27
SPEAKER_01: Craig takes the gun, he locks it up in his safe, and then him and Will are like, okay, so we're like even now, right?
18:38
SPEAKER_01: But I think Craig is starting to figure out what he I think Craig is starting to pick up on what Will is putting down.
18:46
SPEAKER_01: Because he's like, So what happened to that girl that you talked about?
18:50
SPEAKER_01: And Will is like, yeah, no, uh, it's yeah, not gonna work.
18:55
SPEAKER_01: No, no girl, nothing, you know.
18:56
SPEAKER_01: Next subject.
18:59
SPEAKER_01: Meanwhile, in the city, Jenna's inviting them, her friends, Carla and Aaron, to some club.
19:06
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Yeah, we're gonna celebrate, we're gonna have fun.
19:10
SPEAKER_01: And then they spend the whole night online because she didn't put their names on the list.
19:17
SPEAKER_01: Carla is like, but we should just go back to the apartment.
19:21
SPEAKER_01: And Aaron doesn't want to, he wants to stay because Carla, uh, Jenna has something really important to talk to him about, but he doesn't know what.
19:28
SPEAKER_01: Carla knows what, but she's like, Yeah, I don't know what.
19:32
SPEAKER_01: And then finally, he sees Jenna come out of the club, realizes she's been inside the whole time, he gets pissed off.
19:40
SPEAKER_01: They end up having their conversation, she explains that this whole thing between them really just meant nothing.
19:49
SPEAKER_01: And he's mad, and he should be because she should have said that from the get, you know, knowing how he felt about her, especially.
20:01
SPEAKER_01: But he says, you know what?
20:03
SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna go back to Boston and it's cool, it's fine, whatever.
20:08
SPEAKER_01: But we see him get on a bus to Seattle.
20:12
SPEAKER_01: Carla decides that she's gonna stay in the city, and they start talking about what's gonna happen in 20 years, and Jenna's like, you think about in 20 years, I'll probably be dead in 20 years.
20:32
SPEAKER_01: And basically, we go back to present day, you know, the ex all that was in the flashback, so all that was to say that his the same gun that was used a week ago to kill whoever is in the coffin was used to kill that person, and that's the gun that the jail guy used in a robbery in '86.
21:00
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, but I hadn't seen it since '87.
21:03
SPEAKER_01: He tells them that story, and that was it.
21:06
SPEAKER_01: So last we saw that gun, Craig was putting it in his safe.
21:12
SPEAKER_01: But present day, we see Carla go into a church, go into a confessional, and say, Hey, we gotta do something about this gun because the detective's probably gonna go on and talk to you.
21:26
SPEAKER_01: And who do we find out is in the confessional?
21:31
SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're asking me?
21:32
SPEAKER_01: Of course, it's Will.
21:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
21:35
SPEAKER_01: I I don't know.
21:35
SPEAKER_01: I thought you were gonna do like a dun dun dun.
21:38
SPEAKER_00: Oh, my bad.
21:39
SPEAKER_00: I missed that one.
21:42
SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, Will is a Will is we don't see it yet.
21:47
SPEAKER_01: Carla has the gun, she throws it into the river, and then we see the detective go to question Will, and Will is a priest.
21:57
SPEAKER_01: So I guess technically we don't know that Will was the one in the confessional, you know, officially, allegedly.
22:06
SPEAKER_01: I don't know, whatever.
22:07
SPEAKER_00: I mean, who else would be in the uh the priest side of a confessional but a priest?
22:12
SPEAKER_01: Well, but who says he's the only priest there?
22:19
SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying.
22:20
SPEAKER_00: I think like the at the end, the the term like the the the show.
22:25
SPEAKER_00: Coming off the surprise is kind of the answer in this case.
22:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:29
SPEAKER_01: No, no, I know.
22:30
SPEAKER_00: But I kind of knew it was Will at that point.
22:33
SPEAKER_00: Like, while before we knew, I had like, okay, that has to be Will.
22:36
SPEAKER_01: Why did you feel like you had to?
22:38
SPEAKER_00: Because of all of them, he because she said we and we.
22:41
SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, okay, how'd we won the six?
22:43
SPEAKER_00: Right.
22:44
SPEAKER_00: And so I'm like, okay, who else would have the act?
22:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, I could see him coming out of jail, and then things are not working out the way he wants it, he thought it was gonna work out.
22:52
SPEAKER_00: Like, surprise, you're a convict, dude.
22:54
SPEAKER_00: This is what happens to convicts.
22:57
SPEAKER_00: Um I don't know.
22:58
SPEAKER_01: I I I just feel like we can make an argument for any of for for any of the guys.
23:04
SPEAKER_00: I think it was either it had to be either Will or Aaron.
23:09
SPEAKER_00: And I because who become I think Will, in my head, it was Will was the obvious TV answer.
23:16
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
23:18
SPEAKER_00: Um and that's what I say.
23:20
SPEAKER_00: And I said what I said.
23:22
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
23:24
SPEAKER_01: So the episode ends with with that.
23:27
SPEAKER_01: So we don't know what they're gonna talk about or anything.
23:33
SPEAKER_01: My biggest question at the end of this episode is how did the gun get from Craig's safe to Carla?
23:47
SPEAKER_01: So we know Will's not dead, which makes him a suspect.
23:51
SPEAKER_00: We have to go back and like start crossing off our.
23:54
SPEAKER_01: I know, I need like a bingo.
23:56
SPEAKER_00: Bingo card.
23:57
SPEAKER_00: We should make a bingo card.
23:59
SPEAKER_00: Um, so Will's not dead.
24:03
SPEAKER_00: Um, how did the gun get to Carla and Will's little thing?
24:11
SPEAKER_00: All those on the next uh the next episode of soap.
24:15
SPEAKER_01: So Will is not dead.
24:18
SPEAKER_00: No.
24:18
SPEAKER_01: So any any theory involving killing Will is out the window, even though we don't really have many.
24:25
SPEAKER_00: No, I didn't think even in my heart, I thought that was gonna be too obvious.
24:29
SPEAKER_00: I didn't think Will would be the dead one, might be the murderer, but not the dead one.
24:34
SPEAKER_00: Maybe I think I don't know.
24:35
SPEAKER_01: I think at this point, the show, whether right or wrong, the show is kind of steering us towards Craig being more involved and possibly the dead one.
24:50
SPEAKER_00: Or Sam.
24:50
SPEAKER_00: I think it's Craig's dad who did the murdering.
24:52
SPEAKER_00: I still think Craig's dad is a good one.
24:54
SPEAKER_00: Well, no, no, I'm just saying I know what you mean.
24:55
SPEAKER_00: I'm just joking.
24:56
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
24:57
SPEAKER_00: Just joking, just making a joke based on our last week's crazy.
25:01
SPEAKER_00: I still think it's the cat.
25:04
SPEAKER_00: The cat who made him jump fall off over the banister.
25:08
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
25:08
SPEAKER_00: Um I think Samantha's a good um guest because there's no reason on the surface for her to be murdered.
25:21
SPEAKER_00: So I think that's why that's I think that's why she'll be a good like I think it's Samantha.
25:27
SPEAKER_00: She's a good guest.
25:28
SPEAKER_00: Because there's no reason to on the surface until we get more into the show.
25:33
SPEAKER_01: I mean, really, what reason would anybody have to kill Aaron?
25:44
SPEAKER_00: Good point.
25:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
25:46
SPEAKER_01: I mean, as aside really from like Will and Craig, there's not a lot of I mean, unless it was some like stalker who killed Jenna.
25:57
SPEAKER_01: You know, because she's a superstar now.
25:59
SPEAKER_01: But I feel like aside from Craig and Will, none of them really have a target.
26:09
SPEAKER_00: Uh as so far as we know.
26:12
SPEAKER_00: Well, in this case, like you could say, Carla killed Aaron for some unrequired love.
26:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I mean I don't know, and we were joking about that last time.
26:24
SPEAKER_01: But in in a more serious conversation, forget that this is television, but in a more serious conversation, it would make sense if she shot him in 1987.
26:37
SPEAKER_01: Not 2005.
26:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think Aaron, I don't think she would have killed Aaron anyway.
26:42
SPEAKER_00: I think Aaron's still alive.
26:45
SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
26:46
SPEAKER_00: I still think it's Samantha.
26:48
SPEAKER_00: This is my gut.
26:50
SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's Craig's dad in the coffin.
26:55
SPEAKER_00: Are we being serious?
26:56
SPEAKER_00: Are we joking?
26:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I'm being serious.
26:58
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so what was the like but joke, but jokingly, but I'm being serious.
27:01
SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's Craig's dad in the coffin.
27:03
SPEAKER_01: And they killed him because they uh he put this whole thing into effect.
27:10
SPEAKER_00: But did he say it?
27:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he did, I know.
27:14
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
27:14
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so did I Oh, I texted to you.
27:18
SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
27:20
SPEAKER_01: In the opening, because I was examining the opening.
27:24
SPEAKER_00: Boy, was she examining the opening.
27:26
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I did was say the quote.
27:28
SPEAKER_01: He when he gives the eulogy, he says, Six friends, separately, not unlike you or me, but together like no group I'd ever known.
27:39
SPEAKER_01: But that was 1986, when I never would have thought that one of those six friends might be brutally murdered in their prime by an unknown assailant.
27:48
SPEAKER_01: Now, 20 years later, one thing remains unchanged that the departed didn't provide us just one life worth watching, but six.
27:57
SPEAKER_01: Six lives so close that even now I can't talk of one without talking about them all.
28:05
SPEAKER_01: So, and I know you're like, no, it's just you, because I'm like, does that sound weird?
28:09
SPEAKER_01: And you're like, no, it's just you.
28:11
SPEAKER_01: The part that sounds weird is that it's like I never would have thought that one of those six friends might be brutally murdered in their prime.
28:22
SPEAKER_01: Maybe one of them was killed back then, and now 20 years later, one thing remains unchanged.
28:31
SPEAKER_01: That somebody else is murdered, and they're all suspects.
28:41
SPEAKER_01: Maybe they're all still alive, well, except for the one murdered in their prime.
28:47
SPEAKER_01: And I mean, when you think of like what year is your prime, I feel like I could totally see them thinking like it's right when you graduate high school and not when you're 40.
29:08
SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that it's right or wrong, I'm just saying I could see the thought process.
29:19
SPEAKER_01: This is why I like the red strings.
29:22
SPEAKER_01: Because everything is up for interpretation, and I could possibly be very wrong, and I'm okay with that.
29:30
SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
29:32
SPEAKER_01: It's possible.
29:33
SPEAKER_01: I okay.
29:37
SPEAKER_01: Until someone says, hey, Jenna's in the coffin and she died last week, I don't know that.
29:42
SPEAKER_01: Jenna might have died back then.
29:45
SPEAKER_01: Although considering he's like that was 1986, I'm thinking probably one didn't die in 1986 because they were all still there in 1987, but you know.
29:59
SPEAKER_01: But their prime still could have been pre-2005.
30:04
SPEAKER_01: And whatever the catalyst was that happened, you know what I mean?
30:13
SPEAKER_01: I I'm just I'm just really trying to open up all roads and see which ones are viable, which ones have evidence and uh I just want to draw the show.
30:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
30:30
SPEAKER_00: My show?
30:30
SPEAKER_00: Me?
30:31
SPEAKER_00: Me?
30:31
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, not that one.
30:36
SPEAKER_01: But I'm more entertaining.
30:39
SPEAKER_01: She's dying.
30:41
SPEAKER_01: I'm the more entertaining show.
30:43
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
30:44
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
30:45
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go with that.
30:46
SPEAKER_00: That's what's going with sticking to it.
30:49
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so after the second episode, what on a very serious, like right answers only.
30:56
SPEAKER_01: What do you think is the most likely situation?
31:01
SPEAKER_01: If you if you had to guess, you know?
31:03
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
31:04
SPEAKER_00: I took this episode, like I said, it wasn't that.
31:09
SPEAKER_00: I know, but we said we were gonna give theories.
31:11
SPEAKER_00: So each episode we're giving theories.
31:13
SPEAKER_00: Isn't that what we said?
31:14
SPEAKER_00: Maybe, okay.
31:16
SPEAKER_00: Um right answers only.
31:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I don't think Carla did the murder.
31:24
SPEAKER_00: I think her and Will are protecting someone else.
31:28
SPEAKER_00: Or at least I can agree with that.
31:30
SPEAKER_00: They're protecting someone else.
31:31
SPEAKER_00: Whether the other someone else actually did it or not, but that's what they're that's that's their goal.
31:36
SPEAKER_00: Um that's the only thing I've come out of it.
31:40
SPEAKER_00: Um, I still think it's Samantha, and they may be protecting.
31:46
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
31:47
SPEAKER_00: I don't think one of the murderer, I don't think the murderer is one of them.
31:51
SPEAKER_00: I I think they think it's one of them, but I don't think it is.
31:57
SPEAKER_01: I think that I agree with you.
32:00
SPEAKER_01: If I had to really say what is most likely, I think that you're right.
32:05
SPEAKER_01: I think that it's not Carla, it's not Will.
32:10
SPEAKER_01: I think they're protecting someone, and I think the someone they're protecting might be Sam's kid and Sam and Will's kid.
32:18
SPEAKER_01: Because remember, Sam, uh Carla is the only one that knows that as so far as we've watched that knows about Sam having a baby.
32:31
SPEAKER_00: I would assume now they know it's a baby girl.
32:33
SPEAKER_01: Oh, a girl.
32:34
SPEAKER_01: You were right, it was a girl.
32:35
SPEAKER_00: I I know I I was just thinking about, I'm like, didn't we know that?
32:38
SPEAKER_00: But I'm like, no, we didn't know that.
32:40
SPEAKER_01: But I can see how Will would want to protect because she uh up until everything that we know up until now, she believed it to be, everything that we know up until now in 1987, she believed it to be his child.
32:59
SPEAKER_01: So if that's true, then I can see how he would want to protect.
33:04
SPEAKER_01: And why would they need to protect?
33:07
SPEAKER_01: Because Sam's not around.
33:09
SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, why wouldn't they involve her?
33:15
SPEAKER_01: Or Sam did it, or they're thinking they're protecting Sam, but it still has to do something with this kid.
33:27
SPEAKER_01: I think this kid is is definitely going to what watch it be something we don't even know about.
33:35
SPEAKER_00: I know like watch it be something that we're like, wait, that happened, like that we haven't come across yet.
33:41
SPEAKER_01: Right.
33:41
SPEAKER_01: There is like 14 episodes, and it's gonna happen in episode 13.
33:44
SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
33:46
SPEAKER_01: I think you find out who's murdered.
33:50
SPEAKER_01: Don't tell me.
33:51
SPEAKER_01: Don't tell me.
33:51
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
33:52
SPEAKER_00: You do find out.
33:52
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
33:53
SPEAKER_01: Don't tell me, don't even tell me when.
33:54
SPEAKER_01: I don't want to know anything.
33:56
SPEAKER_01: I don't like knowing anything.
33:57
SPEAKER_01: I like going in each episode with an open mind.
34:00
SPEAKER_01: I don't like trailers, I don't like spoilers, none of it.
34:03
SPEAKER_00: All right, you do, but you know, we And I would say I closed my ears, but I still gotta edit.
34:08
SPEAKER_00: So we don't ever find out who as far as the air, the aired episodes, we don't ever find out who the murderer is.
34:17
SPEAKER_00: So whoever's listening with us, if you're listening, if you're watching as we're watching and you've seen like the first nine episodes, you get to find out when we find out.
34:26
SPEAKER_00: I think that's kind of cool.
34:29
SPEAKER_00: That is kind of cool.
34:31
SPEAKER_01: But wrong answers only, I definitely still think Craig trained the cat to knock her down the stairs into the glass coffee table.
34:39
SPEAKER_01: And then it was like, quick, go find something with somebody else's scent on it and drop it on the body.
34:47
SPEAKER_00: And maybe the theory has evolved over the week.
34:51
SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
34:52
SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
34:53
SPEAKER_01: In the first episode, he he says that the locket was found on the body.
34:58
SPEAKER_01: Sam and Carla spent the summer, and maybe she gave the locket to the child, like as a or she gave it to Sam or something.
35:16
SPEAKER_00: I know we did say I said I think she gave it to Sam or them or whatever.
35:21
SPEAKER_00: So maybe to the daughter, and then the daughter came back to kill Sam and her locket fell off.
35:26
SPEAKER_01: There you go.
35:27
SPEAKER_00: I feel that.
35:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
35:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
35:30
SPEAKER_00: That works.
35:31
SPEAKER_01: But then how did the gun still, how did the gun get from Craig to Jenna?
35:37
SPEAKER_00: See the Craig to call her.
35:40
SPEAKER_01: Uh, yeah, thank you.
35:41
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so over 20 years, it's not that far-fetched that one of like they're still in contact in and out of each other's lives.
35:52
SPEAKER_00: Not so far-fetched that he like one of them, he'll give one of them the gun.
35:57
SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, you need protection.
35:58
SPEAKER_00: Like, for example, hey, Jenny, you live in the city now.
36:01
SPEAKER_00: You might need this for protection.
36:02
SPEAKER_00: Like, it wouldn't be so far-fetched for him to be like, listen, him giving them one of them the gun.
36:08
SPEAKER_01: I don't also I have a hot take.
36:10
SPEAKER_01: I just thought of this.
36:12
SPEAKER_01: When Carla's knocking on the door and she's like, oh my god, do you know what time it is?
36:16
SPEAKER_01: Like, hold on, I'm coming.
36:17
SPEAKER_01: Um she just opens the fucking door.
36:19
SPEAKER_01: She doesn't even say who.
36:21
SPEAKER_00: Like nothing.
36:22
SPEAKER_00: But true New Yorkers go, who?
36:24
SPEAKER_00: And someone goes, me, and they open the door.
36:26
SPEAKER_00: You know who it is.
36:27
SPEAKER_00: That's all you hear is who?
36:28
SPEAKER_00: Me.
36:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't remember anyone ever giving their name.
36:32
SPEAKER_01: Because I have memories.
36:33
SPEAKER_01: She doesn't even look through that fucking peephole.
36:36
SPEAKER_01: She legit just opened the fucking door.
36:39
SPEAKER_01: Somebody's pounding on your door like a maniac, and you just opened it.
36:43
SPEAKER_01: Even the ones that take place in New York, even the ones that take place in and I don't care, and I'll still say that's fucking bullshit.
36:49
SPEAKER_01: As somebody who lived in New York for over 40 years, that's bullshit.
36:53
SPEAKER_00: I had a I had a video intercom with my apartment building, sorry.
36:58
SPEAKER_01: I had a metal gate in the front.
37:01
SPEAKER_01: Like I I mean, granted, I could still open the first door, and and there was the metal gate.
37:08
SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
37:08
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you could shoot me through it, but you couldn't get in.
37:11
SPEAKER_01: But like but like you still said you still looked through the window, you still, you know, before you even opened the first door, you like who?
37:21
SPEAKER_01: Because you just you didn't.
37:24
SPEAKER_01: You just didn't.
37:25
SPEAKER_01: You don't know who the fuck is that.
37:27
SPEAKER_01: There's how many million people living in you just didn't.
37:31
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the weird thing here I noticed about Midwest is weird.
37:33
SPEAKER_00: They don't tell you who it is.
37:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, my front door has a peephole, my back door doesn't.
37:39
SPEAKER_00: Thus I got the cameras now.
37:41
SPEAKER_00: But before that, I'm like, who?
37:43
SPEAKER_00: And they wouldn't answer.
37:44
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, so you don't come in.
37:46
SPEAKER_00: And they did not understand that.
37:47
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not opening my door for but yeah, that's just weird.
37:52
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
37:53
SPEAKER_00: They were like, well, and they look surprised.
37:56
SPEAKER_00: Like, you asked who it is?
38:00
SPEAKER_00: What?
38:00
SPEAKER_00: I didn't invite you.
38:01
SPEAKER_00: I didn't know you were coming.
38:02
SPEAKER_00: You're lucky I even acknowledged that the door knocks.
38:05
SPEAKER_00: So let's start off with that.
38:07
SPEAKER_01: I know.
38:08
SPEAKER_01: Like growing up, if somebody was coming to your house, it'd be like, okay, I'm coming to your house.
38:14
SPEAKER_01: And yeah, we didn't have cell phones, but it'd be like, all right, I'm leaving my house now.
38:19
SPEAKER_01: I'm coming.
38:20
SPEAKER_01: And you knew, okay, well, it's it took that person, you know, 12 minutes to walk.
38:25
SPEAKER_01: So if somebody, if somebody knocked on the door two minutes after that person said they were on their way, most likely it's not them.
38:32
SPEAKER_01: It's well, it's definitely not them.
38:33
SPEAKER_01: And you're like, I ain't fucking opening the door.
38:37
SPEAKER_01: The only the only person you're gonna open the door for is a person you already knew was on their way, especially without trying to find out who it was.
38:44
SPEAKER_01: And even still, that person said I'll be there in 12 minutes.
38:48
SPEAKER_01: 12 minutes later, that person knocks on your door.
38:50
SPEAKER_01: You're still like, who?
38:52
SPEAKER_01: Cause you don't fucking open your door.
38:56
SPEAKER_00: I don't even like people knowing where I live.
38:59
SPEAKER_01: And the few people that just didn't even let me know where she lived.
39:04
SPEAKER_00: That was a slip up.
39:05
SPEAKER_00: That was not, that was just a I didn't know.
39:07
SPEAKER_00: I didn't Yeah, yeah.
39:09
SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
39:10
SPEAKER_00: Suck it up, cupcake.
39:12
SPEAKER_00: I think she's getting over it by now.
39:15
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know which in my stuff now.
39:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know which building you lived in because it was like one of the only ones with the water tower on it.
39:24
SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was, doesn't it?
39:25
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
39:26
SPEAKER_01: That's how I knew.
39:28
SPEAKER_01: But I couldn't tell you which apartment.
39:32
SPEAKER_01: And I didn't have to worry about anybody coming to my house because I lived on the wrong side of the neighborhood.
39:36
SPEAKER_01: I lived on the other side of the highway.
39:37
SPEAKER_00: So people were like, and we did the whole dance to just like um like a little prayer.
39:42
SPEAKER_00: And you don't remember that.
39:44
SPEAKER_00: I remember that quite vividly.
39:46
SPEAKER_00: I thought it was it's my party.
39:49
SPEAKER_00: We played that song too, but we did the dance sort of like a little prayer.
39:52
SPEAKER_00: I still remember that.
39:54
SPEAKER_00: I still remember it.
39:55
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
39:56
SPEAKER_01: See, you were even allowed at my house.
39:59
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
40:00
SPEAKER_01: But you still didn't let me know where you lived.
40:02
SPEAKER_00: Flash, like, just so you know, just so everyone knows, I never had a party.
40:07
SPEAKER_00: I never had a party.
40:10
unknown: Period.
40:10
SPEAKER_00: That's even worse.
40:11
SPEAKER_00: And my house.
40:12
SPEAKER_00: That's even worse.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: I know there's no reason to invite anyone.
40:15
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I just And yet somebody who wasn't me knew where you lived.
40:20
SPEAKER_01: And they didn't come until maybe the year before I moved.
40:24
SPEAKER_01: Doesn't matter.
40:25
SPEAKER_01: They still knew where you lived, they still went.
40:28
SPEAKER_01: One time.
40:29
SPEAKER_01: Doesn't matter.
40:32
SPEAKER_01: One time more than I did.
40:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
40:37
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
40:39
SPEAKER_00: I haven't said that.
40:40
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
40:41
SPEAKER_00: I can't.
40:41
SPEAKER_00: I can't I can't argue that.
40:44
SPEAKER_00: I can't say how disappointed I am the fact that my pink lipstick is not showing up in this video.
40:54
SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
40:55
SPEAKER_01: The next yeah, I mean, do you have anything else for this episode?
41:00
SPEAKER_00: No, I can't wait till 1988, though.
41:03
SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah.
41:03
SPEAKER_01: So that's the next episode, 1988.
41:07
SPEAKER_00: So And then you do know what's gonna happen the episode after that, right?
41:12
SPEAKER_00: What?
41:13
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be playing Prince.
41:16
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
41:17
SPEAKER_00: It's 1980.
41:18
SPEAKER_00: No, 1999.
41:20
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna change it to 89, though.
41:21
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna change it to 89.
41:24
SPEAKER_00: Hello?
41:24
SPEAKER_00: Did you turn me off?
41:25
SPEAKER_00: She turned me off.
41:27
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
41:27
SPEAKER_00: What do you mean I turned you off?
41:30
SPEAKER_00: Hello?
41:32
SPEAKER_00: I'm here.
41:33
SPEAKER_00: You turned me off?
41:34
SPEAKER_00: No, I didn't touch anything.
41:36
SPEAKER_00: It just went off.
41:37
SPEAKER_00: I had it like unplugged.
41:39
SPEAKER_01: Maybe your computer didn't like you're singing.
41:41
SPEAKER_01: I would believe Maybe your computer was like, oh, this bitch fucked up.
41:46
SPEAKER_00: I would believe that.
41:47
SPEAKER_00: My computer has AI, so you know, I'm pretty sure they'd be like, no, fuck this shit.
41:51
SPEAKER_00: Shit, shit.
41:51
SPEAKER_01: We gotta quick, quick censor.
41:55
SPEAKER_00: I would not be surprised.
41:57
SPEAKER_00: I would I would co-sign my computer shutting me off.
42:00
SPEAKER_01: Taylor Swift has an album called 1989.
42:03
SPEAKER_01: Does she really?
42:04
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that's the yeah she was born.
42:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she was born.
42:07
SPEAKER_01: But that's what it's called, I think.
42:09
SPEAKER_01: My my daughter loves Taylor Swift.
42:12
SPEAKER_00: I don't mind Taylor Swift.
42:13
SPEAKER_00: I like Taylor Swift.
42:14
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I would I've been caught plenty of times jamming out of my car to a Taylor Swift song.
42:19
SPEAKER_01: She's talented as hell.
42:21
SPEAKER_00: And then grown ass men looking at me, the car next to me, laughing.
42:24
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you know you want to dance.
42:26
SPEAKER_00: Like it's about trucker guy, like big ass bear man.
42:29
SPEAKER_00: And they're like, they're dancing, they're jamming along too, so shut up.
42:34
SPEAKER_01: Okay, 1988.
42:38
SPEAKER_01: I guess we'll just see each other in 1988 then.
42:42
SPEAKER_00: I will remember to wear my blue eyeshadows and my leg warmers.
42:46
SPEAKER_00: Leg warmers are back in style, you know.
42:48
SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm good.
42:50
SPEAKER_01: You need better pink lipstick.
42:52
SPEAKER_00: Well, I had put on like my my like my nude lip gloss.
42:58
SPEAKER_00: And then I put the pink over it.
43:00
SPEAKER_00: So maybe that's why it looks mauve.
43:02
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's a frosty pink.
43:05
SPEAKER_00: Nice.
43:05
SPEAKER_00: It's not pink at all.
43:07
SPEAKER_00: It looks frosty pink from here.
43:09
SPEAKER_01: It's literally shine.
43:11
SPEAKER_01: It's just shimmer.
43:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just like clear.
43:14
SPEAKER_00: You know what I think?
43:14
SPEAKER_00: Like with the pinkish, I think with the background, maybe it looks pinkish.
43:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just I just have pink lips.
43:21
SPEAKER_00: That's what he said.
43:24
SPEAKER_01: That is what he said.
43:30
SPEAKER_01: Alrighty.
43:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that I think that's it for this episode.
43:35
SPEAKER_01: I'm hoping 1988 is more fun.
43:38
SPEAKER_00: 1987 was a little It gave us a couple of like, oh, it gave us a couple like, oh, oh, it gave us a couple of things to think about.
43:46
SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
43:46
SPEAKER_00: We found the murder weapon.
43:48
SPEAKER_00: We saw what the murder weapon is.
43:50
SPEAKER_01: Why wouldn't you have done that sooner?
43:53
SPEAKER_01: Although, you know what?
43:54
SPEAKER_01: Hold on a second.
43:55
SPEAKER_01: I just I just had a thought actually.
43:57
SPEAKER_00: Uh-oh.
44:02
SPEAKER_01: They they did say that that was the gun used, right?
44:09
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
44:09
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
44:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, alright.
44:13
SPEAKER_01: So then I was like, then why would you wait to toss it?
44:21
SPEAKER_00: They didn't watch enough Law and Order?
44:22
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
44:23
SPEAKER_00: I guess they're Well, it was nineteen
44:25
SPEAKER_01: 1986.
44:26
SPEAKER_01: So no, no, no.
44:28
SPEAKER_00: Like present day.
44:28
SPEAKER_00: Like the murder happened present day.
44:30
SPEAKER_00: Oh, right, right, right, right, right.
44:31
SPEAKER_00: So they didn't watch enough.
44:32
SPEAKER_00: They didn't know they didn't know to keep it.
44:33
SPEAKER_01: Law and order was already on.
44:35
SPEAKER_01: Well, to be fair, by 1980, but by 2005, there was already like there were already all the law and orders.
44:44
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
44:45
SPEAKER_00: So that's what I say.
44:45
SPEAKER_00: They didn't watch enough law and order.
44:46
SPEAKER_00: They didn't know.
44:47
SPEAKER_00: Well, wait, was SVU?
44:49
SPEAKER_00: No.
44:49
SPEAKER_00: No, yes, it was.
44:53
SPEAKER_00: I was pregnant with her.
44:54
SPEAKER_01: There was already homicide life on the street.
44:56
SPEAKER_01: There were all the lawn orders.
44:57
SPEAKER_01: There were CSIs.
44:59
SPEAKER_01: Like, come on.
45:00
SPEAKER_00: Um, so I'm thinking they found or okay, so they found the gun.
45:06
SPEAKER_00: My theory, Carla and Will are protecting someone.
45:12
SPEAKER_01: And Sam Jr.
45:16
SPEAKER_00: Sammy.
45:16
SPEAKER_00: We'll call her Sammy.
45:17
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
45:18
SPEAKER_00: Um, and yeah, why didn't get rid of it?
45:21
SPEAKER_00: Because obviously, let's say a week between the murder.
45:24
SPEAKER_00: They said a week ago.
45:25
SPEAKER_00: Right.
45:25
SPEAKER_01: They said a week ago.
45:26
SPEAKER_01: Oh, they did?
45:27
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
45:27
SPEAKER_01: When he when he um when the detective went to visit the excell mate, I can't remember his name, Will's excel mate.
45:35
SPEAKER_01: He goes, Oh, well, can you tell me why your gun was used in a murder last year a week ago?
45:40
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
45:41
SPEAKER_00: So I'm thinking, because you know, these people don't understand that real life has consequences.
45:46
SPEAKER_00: And they're like, well, maybe we should hold on to it just in case.
45:48
SPEAKER_00: I I could totally see them, and they don't.
45:50
SPEAKER_00: Just in case what?
45:51
SPEAKER_00: The cops need evidence?
45:54
SPEAKER_00: In case it's not their friend, and they need proof that it's not their friend.
45:59
SPEAKER_00: And then they're like, Well, let's not just take the chance.
46:02
SPEAKER_00: This is TV, but thinking about TV, real answers for TV only.
46:07
SPEAKER_00: I've seen this happen so much.
46:09
SPEAKER_00: Doesn't work out.
46:10
SPEAKER_00: They're like, wait, so and so.
46:12
SPEAKER_00: Like how many times they're like, damn it, we threw away the proof because we thought it was it was you, so we're trying to protect you.
46:19
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, yeah.
46:20
SPEAKER_00: Um, so I can see them like it's some weird twist of face.
46:23
SPEAKER_00: They're like, we think it's so and so, so let's just take the gun in case it is.
46:26
SPEAKER_00: But what if it's not?
46:27
SPEAKER_00: And we'll never find who actually murdered her.
46:31
SPEAKER_00: And at the end, they're like, fuck it, we're gonna get rid of the gun regardless.
46:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because I was like, okay, so maybe if it was just like, oh shit, we still have that gun, like let's get rid of, but no, they said the gun was used.
46:45
SPEAKER_00: They knew the gun was used.
46:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know.
46:49
SPEAKER_01: All right.
46:50
SPEAKER_01: I guess we have to wait for 1988.
46:54
SPEAKER_01: Do you have anything else?
46:55
SPEAKER_00: I'm really tired of my wines only being like five or six percent alcohol by volume.
47:00
SPEAKER_00: But anyway, um, no, that's it.
47:03
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
47:05
SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, that that's gonna do it for us.
47:08
SPEAKER_01: Um, once again, just text us all your ridiculous theories.
47:14
SPEAKER_01: Wrong answers only.

SPEAKER_01: Please do not give us a right answer.
47:18
SPEAKER_01: Please do not spoil anything for us.
47:22
SPEAKER_01: And drink responsibly.

SPEAKER_01: Don't drink and drive.
47:25
SPEAKER_01: Visit us assassinsips.com for all the ways to get in touch with us, to find us, to consume more of our content.

47:39
SPEAKER_01: See you later.
47:40
SPEAKER_00: Bye.
