Watch out! Car thefts double in past year
Car thefts have more than doubled in the past year. It’s being pushed by a shortage of spare parts and advanced technology in the hands of the car thieves. Most of the stolen cars wind up in the Palestinian-controlled territories and it’s pushing up the car insurance rates across the board. According to the vehicle location technology company Pointer, about 14,000 cars were stolen last year, more than half of them Sport Utility Vehicles, SUVs.
