- 0:36Speaker 3: dot com for details. Whistle let's start the show, parley
- 0:40Speaker 3: we missed?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Oh guys, well, if we were to.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Mention the Michigan game. First, they did win. That was
- 0:47Speaker 3: a close game, and.
- 0:49Speaker 4: They were up by double digits in the first half.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And I'm not even talking about covering. Mostly I'm talking
- 0:54Speaker 3: about they're supposed to still be mad. Have they run
- 0:56Speaker 3: out of madness? They did win, and you know, hardball
- 1:00Speaker 3: wasn't there. But next week, man, that's the game. It's
- 1:03Speaker 3: the game of the yame of the game of the year,
- 1:05Speaker 3: game of the life.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I thought it was last week, So I'm happy it's
- 1:08Speaker 1: this week. Ohio State.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's Michigan minus four as of right now,
- 1:13Speaker 3: but Hardball will not be on the sideline.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And I don't know.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I think if one of them beats the other by
- 1:20Speaker 3: seventeen or more, one of them won't make the playoff.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I think if it's within single digits, I think one
- 1:27Speaker 3: absolutely makes the playoff. I think if it's ten to sixteen,
- 1:32Speaker 3: depending on where that touchdown falls. Because again, these are
- 1:38Speaker 3: computer plus human vote. It's a combination because the humans
- 1:42Speaker 3: do feed in a lot of the information that the
- 1:43Speaker 3: computer then takes and builds in algorithm four and says
- 1:45Speaker 3: this is our order. But if it's over seventeen, I
- 1:48Speaker 3: just don't see. Like last year, one of them will
- 1:50Speaker 3: get kicked out.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So you're saying computer does it first, then the humans
- 1:53Speaker 1: vote on it.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I say that the humans get to put in a
- 1:56Speaker 3: lot of their bias and perspective, and I don't know,
- 2:05Speaker 3: humans always screw it up, though sure it's not just so.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I know they're trying to make it as as computer
- 2:11Speaker 3: as possible. But I was reading the story about how
- 2:12Speaker 3: even if you computerize everything, the human has to actually
- 2:15Speaker 3: set up the computer.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So true. What do I know, dude?
- 2:20Speaker 3: I just think that what's gonna happen here is there's
- 2:23Speaker 3: probably gonna be a blowout again and one of them
- 2:25Speaker 3: gets left out.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Really, I don't care. I don't I don't care. What's that?
- 2:27Speaker 1: So Maryland can make it a close game, but Ohio
- 2:30Speaker 1: State's not.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Oh No, I think Ohio State wins even though they are,
- 2:34Speaker 3: even though they're a four point dog.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I would I will be betting them money line.
- 2:40Speaker 4: That's gonna be tough. Yeah, that offense seem very good, correct,
- 2:45Speaker 4: and that Michigan defense is really good.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I agree.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's still gonna do it. It doesn't matter though, with
- 2:51Speaker 3: these two teams. It doesn't matter. So especially a game
- 2:55Speaker 3: this's close where the spread's only four. You know they're
- 2:58Speaker 3: anticipating a Those two teams are equal because they're in Michigan, right, Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 3: So those two teams are equal in their mind because
- 3:05Speaker 3: Michigan is getting three points for just being at home.
- 3:09Speaker 3: So if they're playing at a neutral side, it's a one
- 3:11Speaker 3: point game. So in in in the minds of the
- 3:14Speaker 3: humans through the computers, Like I said, humans and years, Yeah,
- 3:18Speaker 3: they're pretty equal teams. But the Michigan's home filled advantage,
- 3:22Speaker 3: but then Michigan also doesn't have their head coach. Michigan's
- 3:25Speaker 3: also and they didn't play very well against Maryland. So anyway,
- 3:29Speaker 3: that one happened. Kansas State, I bet them minus seven
- 3:32Speaker 3: and a half. They did not cover, but they won again.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I didn't even care that much that you missed the
- 3:36Speaker 3: parlay that. Yeah, I just like to see them win. Yeah, man,
- 3:39Speaker 3: And it was a good game because Kansas played well.
- 3:40Speaker 3: And I guess Kansas coach is not going to Michigan State.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I was told by some pretty good sources that he
- 3:45Speaker 3: was out, that he was going.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Leopold whatever his name is.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah, light Bold, Yeah, it's light Bold.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I like Leopold.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I like that too.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Makes me feel like it's that ice cream with all
- 3:56Speaker 3: three flavors.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Neopolitan. Yeah, it's me rends me of Leopold.
- 4:00Speaker 4: I was thinking of like a general back in like
- 4:01Speaker 4: the seventeen hundreds, Napoleon, or like a lion leop.
- 4:07Speaker 3: We're watching the show called My Best Friend the Spy
- 4:11Speaker 3: did that mention this already? That's probably not the name
- 4:15Speaker 3: of it, but it's got the guy Damon, who may
- 4:18Speaker 3: be Australian and he was in the show with Carrie
- 4:21Speaker 3: over in the Middle East Homeland, and then he was
- 4:24Speaker 3: in the show about billions of dollars.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Billion, Thank You.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So now he's in this, but he plays a British
- 4:33Speaker 3: spy and this other guy's a British spy, a spy
- 4:36Speaker 3: among friends.
- 4:38Speaker 1: He's the redhead from Homeland. Uh huh. Interesting And I
- 4:43Speaker 1: think he might be Australian. I'm not sure.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yeah, he's something that's not American correct, but he's British
- 4:47Speaker 3: in this and it's I don't like.
- 4:49Speaker 1: The colors of shows like this. What do you mean?
- 4:53Speaker 3: I struggle with dark colors anyway. And it's very dark, greeny, dark, bluey,
- 4:56Speaker 3: kind of grainy, got it.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I like that.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Whenever movies have a tent like, yeah, it's definitely tinted
- 5:01Speaker 3: because it is World War I don't know one or two, yeah, something,
- 5:09Speaker 3: but everybody hates Germany and Russia and these two spies
- 5:12Speaker 3: the whole purposes are they telling the truth or lying?
- 5:15Speaker 3: Because one of them gets in trouble immediately And it's
- 5:17Speaker 3: only six episodes. It's based on a book, and the
- 5:19Speaker 3: book was nonfiction and they do that thing where they're like,
- 5:23Speaker 3: this is based off a nonfiction book. Some of the
- 5:25Speaker 3: characters have been dramatized, meaning they're getting as close as
- 5:27Speaker 3: they possibly can.
- 5:28Speaker 1: They just don't want to get sued. Correct, that's all that.
- 5:30Speaker 3: If they just say that, and we're three in of
- 5:32Speaker 3: six total it is. I was watching it last night
- 5:36Speaker 3: with my wife and I'm like, man, the only reason
- 5:38Speaker 3: I like this show is because I'm an adult. If
- 5:40Speaker 3: I were a kid, I would have hated this show. Eddie,
- 5:42Speaker 3: you hate it. It's too much talking.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I don't like dialogue. Yeah, no, I mean I do
- 5:45Speaker 1: like dialogue movies. This has got to be really good
- 5:47Speaker 1: of its dialogue. But if it's like a movie about
- 5:49Speaker 1: something big that's supposed to happen and all they do
- 5:52Speaker 1: is talk about it, hate it. Like there was a
- 5:54Speaker 1: movie back in the day called like thirteen Days. It
- 5:56Speaker 1: was like about the Cuban missile crisis, and it was
- 5:59Speaker 1: literally two hours the people in a meeting, and I'm like,
- 6:02Speaker 1: why would I want to watch a movie on this mike?
- 6:04Speaker 1: You see that one thirteen Days or whatever? Is that
- 6:06Speaker 1: Kevin Costner yet something like yeah, yeah, it's fantastic dialogue.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That's the point of it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: And mostly what we're referring to Is the movie about
- 6:13Speaker 3: the bomb? Yeah, Oppenheimer, and you hated it?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah? Man, I'm like, where's the ball? And all they're
- 6:19Speaker 1: doing is talking about the bomb? Like I want to
- 6:20Speaker 1: see the ball.
- 6:21Speaker 2: It's the build up to the ball?
- 6:22Speaker 5: Is it?
- 6:22Speaker 1: The whole movie about if and when the bomb? Not
- 6:25Speaker 1: the bomb going off?
- 6:27Speaker 6: Yes, and the moral ramifications of the ball and arguing
- 6:30Speaker 6: about the bomb like should we build it this way?
- 6:33Speaker 1: No, we shouldn't build it that way. It's like, come on,
- 6:35Speaker 1: let's see the bomb.
- 6:36Speaker 3: And when did Mike you like to Oppenheimer, I love theaters.
- 6:39Speaker 3: You went immediately? Yeah, And when does it come out
- 6:41Speaker 3: on my screen?
- 6:43Speaker 1: It'll probably be out.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I think next week.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I can't wait. I can't wait to just dialogue, e dialogue.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I can't wait to hear what you have to say
- 6:50Speaker 3: about it. Because here's the deal too. I saw it
- 6:52Speaker 3: an Imax like they were making.
- 6:53Speaker 1: A big deal like, oh, you got to watch on
- 6:55Speaker 1: the big screen for what to see a big face
- 6:57Speaker 1: talk like.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Oh that made it so much better seventy millimeters.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I'm it's pretty funny, Eddie, Now, big face? Why do
- 7:04Speaker 3: I need to watch it on Imax? Because all they're
- 7:05Speaker 3: doing is talking correct, but it.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Made the bombs seem so much better.
- 7:09Speaker 4: But there is a bump scene.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yeah, wait for it.
- 7:13Speaker 7: Wow.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Okay, all that to say, that's that movie that shows
- 7:17Speaker 3: pretty good.
- 7:17Speaker 1: We're three in us. What's it called too, shark boy.
- 7:24Speaker 3: We were bouncing back and forth last night between that
- 7:28Speaker 3: and the Vikings in Denver, which, by the way, I
- 7:31Speaker 3: guess rus Wilson's pretty good again.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yeah, what's going on over there? All of a sudden,
- 7:36Speaker 1: it's probably a good coach now Peyton Sean Payton. Yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 1: rus Wilson, I guess it's pretty good. I don't think
- 7:41Speaker 1: he's great again, but he doesn't have to. They I mean,
- 7:44Speaker 1: the the AFC is so stacked. It's gonna be tough
- 7:47Speaker 1: for them to make the playoffs. But they might make playoffs,
- 7:51Speaker 1: which is crazy to think.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, they needed this win. Oklahoma State was Eddi's bet.
- 7:54Speaker 3: He bet money line.
- 7:55Speaker 1: We got it.
- 7:56Speaker 3: It was a week bet, but you bet it, and
- 7:57Speaker 3: they would have covered too.
- 7:58Speaker 1: They would have covered. You didn't pick the cover.
- 8:00Speaker 4: They were down early. Were you scared?
- 8:02Speaker 1: I suck?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Kevin sucks. I was happy though that Michigan did win.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I love the drama. I was happy that Kansas State
- 8:09Speaker 3: did win. We love those guys. Cooper Bbs, you know
- 8:12Speaker 3: the guy that we did our episode with, Yeah, he's.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Much bigger on TV. I mean he was big in person,
- 8:16Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, but on TV on that line,
- 8:19Speaker 1: he is humongous.
- 8:20Speaker 3: And he's like the guy like the offensive line. Yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 3: and that they highlight him and he keeps getting finalists
- 8:27Speaker 3: in all these big offensive Lineman awards and good dude,
- 8:31Speaker 3: you can watch him in our Kansas State episode of
- 8:33Speaker 3: Too Much Access, but they won't again, and good for them.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I don't know how we got to the TV thing, Leopold.
- 8:40Speaker 3: He's not going to Michigan State, I guess.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we went from Kansas Coach to Netflix shows.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Okay, before I hit the tittle tattle, does anybody have
- 8:52Speaker 3: anything to say?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Huh, don't do something wrong? Yeah, he's setting us up.
- 8:57Speaker 3: No, but you all look like you're itching to jump
- 8:59Speaker 3: in on that. At some point I just kept talking.
- 9:01Speaker 3: There's anything I skated over?
- 9:03Speaker 6: Good?
- 9:03Speaker 1: No, I mean we're going to go over games, right.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Okay, let's get to the tit go.
- 9:16Speaker 4: With Caleb Williams going to the NFL and USC joining
- 9:19Speaker 4: the Big ten next year, do you think it's possible
- 9:21Speaker 4: Lincoln Riley leaves USC.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Bro Lincoln Riley has not been a very good coach
- 9:26Speaker 3: this year. What's he gonna do? Who's gonna hire him?
- 9:29Speaker 3: Has not been his his his resume leader. It's crazy
- 9:33Speaker 3: how bad USC has been.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it's even worse than their defense. I
- 9:36Speaker 4: think is there offensive line?
- 9:38Speaker 3: All of the big people have kind of sucked, Like
- 9:41Speaker 3: if you're supposed to be big, you mean like physically big. Yes,
- 9:45Speaker 3: the big size people, fat guy strong guys. But he's
- 9:48Speaker 3: always had trouble with fat guy strong guys. Even at
- 9:50Speaker 3: Oklahoma it was always fast guys, quarterbacks and so.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So big fat guys are not his special.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Too big or fat or big fat correct and you
- 9:58Speaker 3: need the both. You need big guy and then you
- 10:00Speaker 3: also need big fat guys, but you also need the
- 10:03Speaker 3: little guys. You also need quick guys that are big.
- 10:04Speaker 3: But this has not been a good year for Lincoln Riley.
- 10:08Speaker 3: They play LSU and Michigan in two of their first
- 10:10Speaker 3: three games next year.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It's a rough start.
- 10:13Speaker 3: He's in year two and he signed a ten year,
- 10:16Speaker 3: one hundred and ten million dollar deal and they have
- 10:19Speaker 3: that five star kid, Malachai Nelson. I mean, he's gonna
- 10:22Speaker 3: be their starting quarterback next year. What if he leaves
- 10:26Speaker 3: bro I don't know what's going on over there, because
- 10:29Speaker 3: I tend to do this with Lincoln Riley. I'm gonna
- 10:32Speaker 3: give him the benefit of the doubt because this has
- 10:35Speaker 3: been a bad year. Absolutely, he's gonna have to make
- 10:38Speaker 3: a defensive coordinator change, which he did. He got rid
- 10:41Speaker 3: of his guy that he's been with him forever. But
- 10:44Speaker 3: he's a good coach and he's won everywhere, and so
- 10:47Speaker 3: this has been a bad year.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So you give him a bad year.
- 10:49Speaker 3: If it happens again next year, then you probably start
- 10:51Speaker 3: to wonder what's gonna happen with him. I don't know
- 10:53Speaker 3: if they're going to fire him. I don't know if
- 10:54Speaker 3: America can afford to pay Jimbo and Lincoln, even though
- 10:56Speaker 3: it's not the same coming from the same account. I
- 10:58Speaker 3: don't think our country has enough money to pay both
- 11:00Speaker 3: of those people off.
- 11:01Speaker 4: We're pretty d I think the buyout was I saw
- 11:03Speaker 4: like eighty to ninety million.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It's wide.
- 11:05Speaker 3: If it happened, think about if it's let's just say
- 11:08Speaker 3: it's what Jimbo's was, which was say seventy on the
- 11:10Speaker 3: low end one hundred and forty million to just buy
- 11:13Speaker 3: coaches out, and then you got to pay other coaches, right, yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 3: think about the good things you could have done with
- 11:18Speaker 3: that money, and like the communities.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Why do you pay yeh, that's a good point. But
- 11:21Speaker 1: why do you pay other coaches because they're all attached
- 11:23Speaker 1: like they.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Broh, you got to pay it well, first of all, partially,
- 11:26Speaker 3: but I'm saying you gotta pay the other coach to
- 11:27Speaker 3: come and take the job.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Ah yeah, yeah, the new coach got you.
- 11:30Speaker 3: So you got to pay the buy out. But then
- 11:31Speaker 3: let's say you're going to hire a Read as a
- 11:33Speaker 3: head coach. We got to pay Read five million a
- 11:35Speaker 3: year and that's very low. So Read would you take
- 11:38Speaker 3: the job?
- 11:38Speaker 7: Oh?
- 11:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I would. I would.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Your offensive scheme probably be based.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Around I'd probably say a play that got I heard
- 11:46Speaker 3: from a guy back in the day that has to
- 11:49Speaker 3: do with a ring around the rosie.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And nice thank you Read. Okay, I'm gonna go work.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I don't think he leaves for a job in anyway whatsoever.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I don't think he goes anywhere. I don't think anybody
- 12:01Speaker 3: wants them too much money up for it. Why would
- 12:04Speaker 3: he leave when he's making that much money. Also at
- 12:07Speaker 3: USC and you don't want to leave with a bad
- 12:09Speaker 3: taste in your mouth here. Yeah, he's got to try
- 12:11Speaker 3: to turn it into yeah, and he can't easily. I
- 12:13Speaker 3: do think he can easily.
- 12:14Speaker 1: All Right?
- 12:14Speaker 4: What else at a quiet ten and one does Louisville
- 12:16Speaker 4: does it have a shot at the college football playoff?
- 12:19Speaker 3: They do if some other things fall into place. Meaning,
- 12:24Speaker 3: let's go SC championship. Let's go Georgia Alabama. Let's say Georgia.
- 12:28Speaker 3: When's that game? Okay, Alabama? Two losses out. Let's say
- 12:34Speaker 3: Michigan Ohio State. Let's just say one of them is
- 12:37Speaker 3: out because one of them whoops another one. So we'll
- 12:39Speaker 3: put the Big ten team in there, because there's also
- 12:42Speaker 3: a scenario where you have two SECAs and two Big Tens,
- 12:44Speaker 3: which would be hilarious, a hilarious playoff of those two conferences.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 12:48Speaker 3: So okay, so then you have two So then you
- 12:50Speaker 3: have a possible Texas. Let's say Texas loses in the
- 12:55Speaker 3: Big twelve championship.
- 12:57Speaker 1: They lose, they could lose a couple of times. Who cares? Okay, So.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Who else is up there? The Oregon in Washington. So
- 13:06Speaker 3: let's say State's done that a quarterback, you can't put
- 13:11Speaker 3: them in now. They're gonna have to win out be undefeated,
- 13:15Speaker 3: and they will get put in then. But if they
- 13:17Speaker 3: lose one game, they're out, because again, those humans are
- 13:20Speaker 3: gonna go.
- 13:20Speaker 1: We can't put him in.
- 13:22Speaker 4: That team in without their starting quarterback, and I think
- 13:23Speaker 4: they have to win big both games they play. I
- 13:26Speaker 4: think Florida, I don't think you can keep them out
- 13:28Speaker 4: undefeated even without their quarterback. I think an undefeated Florida
- 13:33Speaker 4: State team if they win two more games without their
- 13:35Speaker 4: quarterback and they're undefeated. Even though we probably all think
- 13:39Speaker 4: there's no way, I still think you have to give
- 13:42Speaker 4: the undefeated team in a Power five conference a spot
- 13:46Speaker 4: in the four.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But let's say they lose, they're out. Okay, who do
- 13:50Speaker 3: we have left? Washington, Oregon. I think one of those
- 13:53Speaker 3: teams gets in. I think Oregon is now better than Washington,
- 13:57Speaker 3: but if they play a close game, they could actually
- 13:59Speaker 3: both get in. How do you feel about two teams
- 14:02Speaker 3: from the Pac twelve?
- 14:03Speaker 4: But Oregon has to win because Oregon with two losses.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Oregon with a close win over Washington. But let's say
- 14:09Speaker 3: that doesn't happen. Let's say Washington wins, Oregon's out. That's
- 14:12Speaker 3: two losses. Okay, so so far the only teams we
- 14:14Speaker 3: have in are Georgia, the Big ten team. We'll just
- 14:17Speaker 3: say Michigan's is they're the favorite, and Washington.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Okay, who's left.
- 14:22Speaker 3: It's not LSU. They got two losses. They don't even
- 14:23Speaker 3: make the s C Championship. Three losses. Excuse me, thank you.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It's Louisville, I.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Think, which is my point. A lot of things have
- 14:32Speaker 3: to happen, but I think then it's Louisville because who
- 14:37Speaker 3: else would it be. I just don't think you can
- 14:39Speaker 3: put LSUN for any reason whatsoever. And I know they're
- 14:41Speaker 3: kind of in the oh do we let them in? No, No,
- 14:44Speaker 3: you don't. You're not gonna let a two lost team
- 14:46Speaker 3: in much less than three. So yes, I think they
- 14:50Speaker 3: deserve it if some things fall through. I don't think
- 14:53Speaker 3: they're one of the best four or five teams though. No,
- 14:55Speaker 3: but the Florida State things sucks for Florida State.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel bad for them and Jordan Travis.
- 14:59Speaker 1: That sucks. They're listen to this though.
- 15:01Speaker 3: They played Kentucky and then they're going to play Florida
- 15:04Speaker 3: State in the AEC title game.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That's Louisville Louisville schedule.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So one of those teams is kind of going to
- 15:10Speaker 3: eliminate each other anyway.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Yeah, they won't.
- 15:14Speaker 1: For sure play their way in both of them, but.
- 15:17Speaker 3: For sure one of them would get eliminated regardless if
- 15:20Speaker 3: that game depends on it.
- 15:21Speaker 1: How did their backup quarterback do? Because when did did
- 15:24Speaker 1: he go with the first half?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Oh, they were down thirteen other one and then they
- 15:27Speaker 4: won fifteen to thirteen.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I think they just were bigger, faster, stronger.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Yeah, they played Southern Alabama or something.
- 15:32Speaker 1: They played us.
- 15:34Speaker 3: They played twenty five whistles, wrecked team our team.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Yeah's North Alabama. It's pretty cool that Louisville was there.
- 15:41Speaker 3: But you know, if you're ten and one and you're
- 15:44Speaker 3: in the a CEC, that's not the same thing as
- 15:46Speaker 3: ten and one in the Big Ten, the Big twelve,
- 15:51Speaker 3: the SEC, the Pac twelve.
- 15:54Speaker 1: They just need some things to happen.
- 15:55Speaker 4: But if this is like Clemson in the ACC, they
- 15:57Speaker 4: would be.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Because they have earned over the last few years the
- 16:00Speaker 3: humans to go. I believe in that coach, he's done
- 16:02Speaker 3: it before. I believe in the program but Louisville hasn't.
- 16:05Speaker 3: It's unfair, I hear you. But the humans in the computers.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Right, humans first, then computers, Yes, because we made the computers.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Correct, All right, go ahead, Going to the NFL where
- 16:14Speaker 4: their teams having completely different seasons. Do you think the
- 16:17Speaker 4: Panthers are regretting not taking C. J. Stroud in the draft.
- 16:21Speaker 3: If they fire Frank Raig after one year with no weapon,
- 16:24Speaker 3: it is a disaster. I know that owner really likes
- 16:27Speaker 3: to be medley with that team. I would too, pause
- 16:30Speaker 3: the owner. I'd be the secret second coach, but like
- 16:33Speaker 3: I own the team. You guys do whatever you think
- 16:34Speaker 3: is best. Yeah, right, I got an earbud. Hey, it'd
- 16:37Speaker 3: be really I'm with my friends. They would love to
- 16:39Speaker 3: see a fleet flicker. I'd be doing that craft like crazy, uh.
- 16:44Speaker 1: So secretly, secretly, yeah, but I'd be like, guys, watched this.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You guys want to see a center sneak?
- 16:50Speaker 3: Watch this, sase that'd be a great party. Yes, the
- 16:52Speaker 3: coach watched what do you center sneak?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Please?
- 16:55Speaker 3: So I still I watched Bryce Young and I know
- 16:58Speaker 3: he threw a bad pick yesterday. The Cowboys through that
- 17:02Speaker 3: pick six. The guy's got four by the way.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Four Yeah, I think he's four pick six four pick
- 17:07Speaker 1: six's seven interceptions in the year. Like wild Kill.
- 17:10Speaker 3: That band said, I think Bryce Young is a good quarterback.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I really do. He plays.
- 17:15Speaker 3: His interceptions are so calm and composed. He does look
- 17:19Speaker 3: calm and composed even afterwards. He's thrown nine touchdowns eight interceptions.
- 17:23Speaker 3: The Panthers are one to nine, but I'm maybe they
- 17:27Speaker 3: Maybe they are, but I don't think it's because of
- 17:28Speaker 3: Bryce Young. If they are wanting c J. Stroud, it's
- 17:31Speaker 3: simply because of c J. Stroud, which I don't think
- 17:33Speaker 3: is a shot against Bryce Young. I still think Bryce
- 17:35Speaker 3: Young is going to be a really good quarterback if
- 17:37Speaker 3: he can just have any sort of help. I have
- 17:40Speaker 3: no reason to like him. He played for Alabama. I
- 17:43Speaker 3: don't care about that. He's crap out of but he
- 17:45Speaker 3: was nice to us though he was it was very nice.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I forgot about that part.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Kid.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but I still I've watched almost every Panther game,
- 17:53Speaker 3: and remember, let me mention a couple of other quarterbacks
- 17:56Speaker 3: who had very similar, even worse rookie years. Maybe Trevor Lawrence,
- 18:02Speaker 3: maybe Peyton Manning terrible played for bad teams with no help.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Terrible rookie season because they let him play the whole season.
- 18:12Speaker 3: That's that's part of the glory. You just can't compare
- 18:15Speaker 3: him to see J. Stroud, who's just out of his mind,
- 18:16Speaker 3: although he did he went very rookie yesterday.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Second half.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Yeah he had the yardage, but yeah things, Yeah, he
- 18:22Speaker 4: tried to lose the game. That one touchdown on the
- 18:25Speaker 4: long one to take the like thirty is awesome?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Dirty? Hey, And do teams like after it's said and done,
- 18:31Speaker 1: like with a draft and everything, do they ever like
- 18:33Speaker 1: mid season go like, man, we should have gotten ce
- 18:35Speaker 1: J Stroud? Like probably you think each other really quietly.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I bet there's like a guy a scout that's like, man,
- 18:40Speaker 4: I tried to tell them the.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Draft what word on the street is, because you guys
- 18:46Speaker 3: know where I'm from those streets.
- 18:47Speaker 1: That's right, That's right. The owner was.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Really who was pushing hard for Stroud because Frank Wright
- 18:53Speaker 3: his thing has always been big pocket, strong arm quarterbacks.
- 19:01Speaker 3: That's not really what Bryce Young is. But I still
- 19:05Speaker 3: think Bryceshung's a good quarterback. I think he will be
- 19:07Speaker 3: a good quarterback. I was watching Kyler Murray yesterday. Is
- 19:09Speaker 3: he the smallest player ever to play in the NFL.
- 19:11Speaker 3: But how does he look smaller than ever?
- 19:13Speaker 1: He looks tiny. He gets lost, it's like a child.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I never used to think that, but it's like a
- 19:17Speaker 3: child running around out there. It's like I started to
- 19:19Speaker 3: feel bad for him, likee but Panthers, Panthers, I thought,
- 19:28Speaker 3: played the cowboy out of your Cowboys.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Almost played that game too close? Yeah they did, they
- 19:33Speaker 1: sure did. And then defense turned into good defense.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And at the end of the game, the score does
- 19:37Speaker 3: not reflect really how closs the game was throughout the game,
- 19:40Speaker 3: and then c J. Stroud tried to lose that game.
- 19:43Speaker 3: But also it's a rookie. A rookie supposed to do
- 19:45Speaker 3: that sometimes. But also what it tells me about the
- 19:47Speaker 3: Texans is they can win games they're not playing awesome.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I know, they don't have to play out of their
- 19:51Speaker 3: mind to win a game. And that's how that's what
- 19:52Speaker 3: the good teams do amazing. They win games that they
- 19:55Speaker 3: kind of sucked in, so kind of cool to see.
- 19:58Speaker 2: It's kind of cool to the Texans win.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Yeah, it's fun.
- 20:00Speaker 3: And they got a rookie coach. Yeah, they got a
- 20:02Speaker 3: rookie quarterback.
- 20:03Speaker 4: And then even Will Anderson is having a good year,
- 20:05Speaker 4: which is kind of quietly. It's fun.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You got to like a team with no weapons, no
- 20:09Speaker 1: big name weapons, doing really doing pretty good.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah, or weapons you didn't think were weapons until they
- 20:15Speaker 3: said here I am, we're weapons. You canys see Miles
- 20:18Speaker 3: Garrett without a shirt on. Oh my god, I mean.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Hey, what does it look like? Describe it?
- 20:24Speaker 3: So he Hey, by the way, playing the Steeler yesterday,
- 20:27Speaker 3: the Steelers almost won that game.
- 20:28Speaker 1: They came back to one. Uh, Cleveland wins.
- 20:31Speaker 3: But however, if it's one point where the Steelers helmet,
- 20:34Speaker 3: the quarterbacks helmet went on, Miles Garrett picked it up.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Now remember he wance grabbed the Steelers helmet.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, hit the quarterback. Yes, it was so funny.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Watched the Steelers players, Yeah, watched them grab that helmet
- 20:45Speaker 3: back from him.
- 20:47Speaker 1: That was not this time.
- 20:49Speaker 3: The Cleveland defense is awesome. Yeah, Miles Garrett was in
- 20:53Speaker 3: gray sweatpants and no shirt. He had muscles I didn't
- 20:57Speaker 3: even know existed, and then his humongous dong in weatpants.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Really you can see it.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Yeah, And the only reason I even thought about it,
- 21:03Speaker 3: I was wearing sweatpants at my show in Louisville, and
- 21:06Speaker 3: I told Eddie, oh, I can't. I need to go
- 21:07Speaker 3: change my pants before we do meet and greet because
- 21:09Speaker 3: it looked like a tiny turtlehead look like yeah yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 3: Miles Garretts looked like he had an anaconda. Sure, And
- 21:18Speaker 3: I put over our picture because I posted a picture
- 21:20Speaker 3: of Eddie and I in Louisville eating ice cream or
- 21:22Speaker 3: whatever it was, and you could see like a tiny pinky.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Poke coming out of mine. Did you censor it? I did, well.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I just put the Louisville tag or where we are
- 21:30Speaker 3: over the top. But I think that's why I noticed
- 21:32Speaker 3: the Miles. I mean, the greatest maybe the greatest body
- 21:37Speaker 3: I've ever seen on a dude. Wow, it is wild.
- 21:40Speaker 3: I have to look that up.
- 21:42Speaker 4: As you said, great sweatpants, I was like, is he going?
- 21:45Speaker 3: I don't know if he knew what he was doing,
- 21:46Speaker 3: but if I look like that, I would wear suits
- 21:49Speaker 3: made of sweatpants. I would show up to prom in
- 21:52Speaker 3: a sweatpants tuxedo and like, look at this dingling.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Okay, what else you got?
- 22:00Speaker 4: After another one possession loss on Sunday is Brandon Staley
- 22:03Speaker 4: of the Chargers the next coach he get fired.
- 22:05Speaker 3: You know, they should just take him and ebra Flus
- 22:08Speaker 3: And they're like, all right, guys, picking number one through ten.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Uh huh okay, okay, good, you're both fired. It doesn't
- 22:13Speaker 3: matter the number they.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Picked, any number the Bears, yeah, huh.
- 22:17Speaker 3: So I'll start with the Chargers first. And you could
- 22:21Speaker 3: tell Staley was getting upset when theysked him. He was
- 22:23Speaker 3: still going to call defensive plays. I don't know how
- 22:25Speaker 3: he makes it through the rest of the season, much
- 22:27Speaker 3: less into next year. They're just losing too much, and
- 22:32Speaker 3: he's probably a big reason that Herbert. I don't believe
- 22:34Speaker 3: justin Herbert. Even though he throws like crazy, he doesn't
- 22:36Speaker 3: win games. Herbert's one game under five hundred, his total
- 22:38Speaker 3: career record himself.
- 22:39Speaker 1: He did throw a pass.
- 22:41Speaker 3: He did throw a couple passes that were just straight dropped,
- 22:43Speaker 3: but he also threw a pick. I'm not a Herbert
- 22:45Speaker 3: believer anymore ever never, I only even believe because people
- 22:50Speaker 3: told me to believe. Yeah, and I still see what
- 22:52Speaker 3: they see because he looks awesome, but he doesn't win.
- 22:56Speaker 3: They don't win. I think Staley gets fired. I think
- 22:59Speaker 3: Everflus now gets fired. The crazy thing about the Bears
- 23:01Speaker 3: was justin feels look good. They should have won that game.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they had Detroit on the ropes. Yeah, Detroit
- 23:10Speaker 3: scored twice in the last They had him like two minutes,
- 23:12Speaker 3: like goff ran down and scored in like a minute
- 23:15Speaker 3: and then I was so annoying because that had a
- 23:16Speaker 3: black million. But I think that Ron Rivera's probably gone
- 23:21Speaker 3: in Washington, but they'll let him finish because I think
- 23:24Speaker 3: they brought him in for stability reasons. I don't think
- 23:26Speaker 3: you bring in Riverboat Ron and just go all right,
- 23:29Speaker 3: we need you to. You're a sixty year old man.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Really give us a fresh coat of paint. Yeah, they
- 23:34Speaker 3: brought him in because that program, it feels like a program.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I mean Dan Snyder when he owned it, and they
- 23:42Speaker 3: brought him in just to be some kind of guiding
- 23:46Speaker 3: little or you put on the back of the boat
- 23:47Speaker 3: to do all the changes. Yes, yeah, so Frank Wright.
- 23:50Speaker 3: They shouldn't fire Frank Wright. They shouldn't. Hope they don't.
- 23:54Speaker 3: If they do, it's a meddaling owner. I'm telling you
- 23:56Speaker 3: another team's gonna grab Hi imediately. Ebra Flus out, Staley
- 24:02Speaker 3: out and we did a bit. If you remember, like
- 24:04Speaker 3: four months ago, We're like, what's gonna happen Taylor Swift
- 24:06Speaker 3: and Kelsea break up? Or and I was like, Josh
- 24:08Speaker 3: McDaniels will get fired first. And Josh McDaniels did get fired.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And Taylor still together with Travis correct Ada, So you
- 24:16Speaker 1: win that. See what happens afterwards? Hey, what about the
- 24:20Speaker 1: Bills though, Like they fire their offensive coordinator and then
- 24:22Speaker 1: come out looking like their Super Bowl teams?
- 24:25Speaker 3: You know, And I don't even think because their offensive
- 24:27Speaker 3: coordinator was Dorsey. Yeah, Ken Dorsey, the quarterback, Miami quarterback
- 24:32Speaker 3: right now, I don't even think were he was doing
- 24:34Speaker 3: a fine job that you just have to fire somebody.
- 24:38Speaker 1: He was. Man, it looks bad when they fire you,
- 24:40Speaker 1: and then your team just looks amazing. I get it.
- 24:44Speaker 1: And Zach Wilson, I.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Always think, and I in the NFL, if a guy's
- 24:49Speaker 3: good enough to make it to the NFL, if you
- 24:50Speaker 3: can get him enough reps, he'll eventually be at least serviceable.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Not Zach Wilson.
- 24:55Speaker 4: That old line is just as bad.
- 24:56Speaker 3: I'm telling you he I had faith and Zach Wilson
- 24:59Speaker 3: to has become okay.
- 25:03Speaker 1: But he's not okay.
- 25:04Speaker 3: No, he's terrible and he's also cocky, which doesn't help,
- 25:09Speaker 3: which he doesn't help. Yeah, that's the Tittle Tattle stupid
- 25:12Speaker 3: his name ever.
- 25:14Speaker 2: The Tittle Tattle.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Twenty five whistles as presented by Draft Kings Sports Book,
- 25:23Speaker 3: an official sports betting partner of the NFL. As we
- 25:26Speaker 3: always say, download the Draft Kings app, use the code
- 25:29Speaker 3: Bobby sports one word get in on the action. All right, Well,
- 25:32Speaker 3: let's look back at our parlay from the weekend that
- 25:35Speaker 3: we lost.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Again.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I'm not sure we've hit one since like week two
- 25:38Speaker 3: of the show. I had Kansas State minus seven and
- 25:41Speaker 3: a half. They ended up winning the game but losing
- 25:44Speaker 3: because they didn't cover the spread. But it was a
- 25:46Speaker 3: big win for them versus Kansas, So good win, bad
- 25:49Speaker 3: loss by me. The Michigan game was a lot closer
- 25:52Speaker 3: than we thought. Michigan wents thirty one twenty four over Maryland,
- 25:55Speaker 3: and again they won the game, but they didn't cover
- 25:59Speaker 3: and they all I mean that game was probably a
- 26:00Speaker 3: little closer than I think all of us imagined. Anyway,
- 26:03Speaker 3: I don't want Michigan to lose. I'll be honest with you.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I do not want Michigan to lose. I'm not a
- 26:06Speaker 3: Michigan fan. I just love that they keep winning because
- 26:09Speaker 3: if they lose, the scandal or whatever it is will
- 26:12Speaker 3: not be a scandal anymore. And then Eddie Well, with
- 26:14Speaker 3: the easiest bet of the week, did pick the Oklahoma
- 26:16Speaker 3: State money line, but he could have also taken the
- 26:19Speaker 3: spread as Oklahoma State won forty three to thirty. Good
- 26:21Speaker 3: win by the old pokes over there, but not a
- 26:24Speaker 3: good win for us. We let you down again. We
- 26:28Speaker 3: let you down again. If you will, I don't know
- 26:31Speaker 3: why you would. But if you want to take the
- 26:32Speaker 3: twenty five whistles parlay, you can check out Draftking Sports Book.

- 26:46Speaker 3: eight seven seven eight hope and why or text hope
- 26:49Speaker 3: and why for six seven three six '.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Nine all right? Weekend review NFL games.
- 26:56Speaker 3: If you have something to say, hold your finger up
- 26:59Speaker 3: and I'll come to you. Steelers and Browns. It was
- 27:01Speaker 3: a very ugly game. I thought the Steelers were gonna
- 27:02Speaker 3: do it again. I'd even made a note on my
- 27:04Speaker 3: phone as the Steelers were about to win. But I
- 27:06Speaker 3: felt like, because I'll watch these games and take notes
- 27:10Speaker 3: that Pittsburgh is like your average looking buddy who keeps
- 27:13Speaker 3: getting hot girls. There's gotta be something divine about him
- 27:16Speaker 3: that you just can't place, something deep inside. Yeah, they
- 27:19Speaker 3: keep winning and being close without really being much. They
- 27:24Speaker 3: play ugly and they try to win at the end,
- 27:25Speaker 3: and they almost did it yesterday too. And you know what,
- 27:27Speaker 3: the Browns are good. They're good because their defense is
- 27:30Speaker 3: so good that that's not a bad loss for the Steelers.
- 27:35Speaker 3: It sucks that they lost, but it's that's not like
- 27:38Speaker 3: an ugly loss. That's not like when Jacksonville lost one
- 27:41Speaker 3: hundred and nothing in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Yeah,
- 27:43Speaker 3: like that was an ugly loss for a good team.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So that Cleveland defense is.
- 27:48Speaker 4: So good, I get that, But that offense is really bad.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I agree?
- 27:51Speaker 4: Can you picket?
- 27:52Speaker 1: I agree?
- 27:52Speaker 3: Anywhere's two gloves. It's hilarious. He's like that golfer you
- 27:56Speaker 3: show up at the course.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Hilarious.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Lions thirty one, Bears twenty six. The Bear's blood double
- 28:02Speaker 3: digitally in the fourth quarter it's very classic Bears. Like
- 28:05Speaker 3: Justin Field's first game back looked pretty good. DJ Moore,
- 28:08Speaker 3: Like they.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Scored twenty six points. What do you want?
- 28:12Speaker 7: Uh?
- 28:13Speaker 3: Don de Foreman got hurt When I was watching Man,
- 28:16Speaker 3: he runs downhill, big strong.
- 28:18Speaker 1: But he got hurt.
- 28:19Speaker 3: But the Bears. That sucks for the Bears. The Bears
- 28:21Speaker 3: just they lost, but they won. I guess they keep
- 28:24Speaker 3: their draft pick ish, but the pick they really want
- 28:26Speaker 3: is the one well that keeps getting as good with
- 28:28Speaker 3: the Panthers. So Chargers and Packers. Hey, Jordan Love not
- 28:33Speaker 3: my favorite aesthetically.
- 28:35Speaker 1: But played pretty good.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 3: And they're so young that you talk about weapons and
- 28:42Speaker 3: when Watson your second year receivers, like your that's your star.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Well if he's like your veteran, yeah, I mean Dobbs
- 28:49Speaker 3: is also I think a second year player that's a
- 28:53Speaker 3: very young and Backe Terrier that you know they're line
- 28:57Speaker 3: that he's been out.
- 28:59Speaker 4: For three years.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Yeah, basically, so the Packer that's a good good win
- 29:03Speaker 3: for the Packers, Yeah, and a terrible loss for the Chargers.
- 29:05Speaker 1: They're living the years of when the Cowboys had Quincy Carter.
- 29:08Speaker 1: You know, like it's just a tough time I don't be.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I don't think so. The Packers are just on top man.
- 29:15Speaker 1: The Packers are always a top five team every season,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and all of a sudden your quarterback leaves you for
- 29:20Speaker 1: the Jets, and like, what do you got? You got nothing?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Well, you have a guy that you've developed in your
- 29:24Speaker 3: system for the past two three years.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's all right, he's okay. You've been spent again,
- 29:29Speaker 1: big investment, not a lot of payoff. Yet he could
- 29:32Speaker 1: it could happen in a couple of years. What's the
- 29:33Speaker 1: Packers record.
- 29:34Speaker 3: They're only paying a five million bucks a year two
- 29:36Speaker 3: even next Oh that's nice. So he's still in a
- 29:38Speaker 3: deal where he's not getting paid a lot so they
- 29:39Speaker 3: can put more weapons around him.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good deal, Ie six.
- 29:42Speaker 3: So I agree it's not been great, but I do
- 29:45Speaker 3: see improvement with with with Love. Yeah, it's like like
- 29:50Speaker 3: Goff has played well.
- 29:52Speaker 4: He had a bad game yesterday, but then he came back.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Sure, he made up for it all the matters, those
- 29:55Speaker 3: last two drives.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I hear you.
- 29:57Speaker 3: You win the game, NFL, you won the game. That's it.
- 30:00Speaker 3: But with Love, like Golf was bad, he was he
- 30:04Speaker 3: La got rid of him. He wasn't good in Detroit.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Got the right little situation there, right, coach, Right, like
- 30:11Speaker 3: Golf's top twelve quarterback. Probably it's hard to say that
- 30:17Speaker 3: because it's Jared.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Kaff but with all these backups and for sure this year.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure.
- 30:22Speaker 6: Right.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Raiders thirteen Dolphins twenty. The Raiders hung in there. Jalen
- 30:26Speaker 3: Ramsey's interception at the end, I thought he died, yeah
- 30:29Speaker 3: when he made that pick, and I was like, well,
- 30:31Speaker 3: I guess he's out the rest of the season. He
- 30:32Speaker 3: landed on the ball, so I changed it after that,
- 30:35Speaker 3: so I think maybe the wind was just knocked out
- 30:37Speaker 3: of him.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah, was there any engine?
- 30:38Speaker 4: No, he was sorry. He got up and hyped out
- 30:39Speaker 4: of the crowd and everything.
- 30:40Speaker 3: He so the Raiders chunked. They're running like a post
- 30:43Speaker 3: route and he had he threw. He beat the defensive
- 30:48Speaker 3: back that he was a Ramsey comes from the other
- 30:50Speaker 3: side in the air.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Oh, makes a.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Awesome like highlight video interception and then just stays down
- 30:58Speaker 3: and you're like, oh no, But good win for the Dolphins.
- 31:02Speaker 3: They don't have a lot of great wins, but I
- 31:03Speaker 3: still say this is a good win for the Dolphins.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Are they for real, yes or no, No, I still
- 31:09Speaker 3: say probably.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Nine Wow haters, I think they're for real.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Giants Commanders. What a stupid game because I bet my
- 31:17Speaker 3: oh no, and I kept thinking they were going to
- 31:20Speaker 3: come back and do it because all game they were fine.
- 31:23Speaker 1: But Saque big day.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Yeah it's on my fantasy team. They Sam Hallet just
- 31:30Speaker 3: didn't play well.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah, they were coming back and then Anything threw a
- 31:33Speaker 4: pick six at the very end.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Yeah as bad dude, Yeah, that's you can't get beat
- 31:38Speaker 3: by that Giants team.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Did you see the water heater was out for the stadium,
- 31:41Speaker 4: so the nobower.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, Cowboys thirty three ten over the Panthers. Blaine
- 31:48Speaker 3: got another pick six blow out win four pick sixes.
- 31:51Speaker 3: This score, though, like I mentioned earlier, is not as
- 31:53Speaker 3: close as the game was.
- 31:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that was definitely a game that I thought
- 31:56Speaker 1: was going to be a repeat of Cowboys Giants. It
- 32:00Speaker 1: isn't you watch the whole thing. I did watch the
- 32:01Speaker 1: whole thing. Man thoughts on this, which which is hard
- 32:03Speaker 1: because you know, like again, when the Cowboys are playing
- 32:05Speaker 1: at noon, there are so many noon games I want
- 32:07Speaker 1: to watch, but if the Cowboys are on, I'm not
- 32:08Speaker 1: switching over to watch it. But my thoughts is, you
- 32:11Speaker 1: know what, a win's a win. It wasn't beautiful Dak again.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I don't like, why are commentators now calling Dak? You know,
- 32:21Speaker 1: one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I think with the Cowboys, you got two ways to
- 32:26Speaker 3: do it. Yeah, they're amazing or they're awful.
- 32:29Speaker 1: But literally two weeks ago, it's like, oh do we
- 32:31Speaker 1: I mean, do we want to keep Dak?
- 32:33Speaker 7: Like?
- 32:33Speaker 1: What's going on with Dak? Press guy? Here to two
- 32:35Speaker 1: games later, Man, you're looking at the quarterback of the league.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I do feel like he's getting a lot of love.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think, Eddie, you're just not used to it.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Maybe that's it's the first time hearing it and you're like,
- 32:45Speaker 4: what I've been saying this the whole time.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean wins, dude, A wins of win.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I love the defense look great again. I mean sure,
- 32:52Speaker 1: there'sn't a strong offensive line there in Carolina, so we
- 32:55Speaker 1: took advantage of that.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Never apologized for winning, but man, I loved it.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Jaguars up the Titans. Trevor Lawrence is awesome. Calvin Ridley
- 33:02Speaker 3: had a big day thirty four to fourteen. I guess
- 33:05Speaker 3: there's really nothing to say about this game other than
- 33:07Speaker 3: I didn't watch a whole lot of it because it
- 33:08Speaker 3: was never much of a game. The confusing part were
- 33:11Speaker 3: the helmet colors, because I, again am severely colorblind and
- 33:14Speaker 3: dark colored. And I think the Jags had black helmets, yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 3: they have black home and I think the Titans had
- 33:18Speaker 3: blue helmets, sure, dark blue. And I couldn't tell the
- 33:20Speaker 3: difference in helmets, which shouldn't be a big deal because
- 33:24Speaker 3: you could look at the jerseys, but still all the
- 33:26Speaker 3: heads are running around. That was part of the reason
- 33:28Speaker 3: that I didn't watch a whole lot of that game.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Texas beat the Cardinals.
- 33:31Speaker 1: C J.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Stroud had over three indy yards first half was great,
- 33:34Speaker 3: had three interceptions, But again, they won even when they
- 33:36Speaker 3: didn't play their best, and that's a team you got
- 33:39Speaker 3: to look out for.
- 33:40Speaker 1: That's crazy. It's crazy that Texans are winning. It's awesome.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Forty nine ers with the Bucks pretty had perfect passer rating,
- 33:46Speaker 3: and I don't know how a passerating of like one
- 33:48Speaker 3: fifty two or one fifty eight point nine is perfect.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Somebody needs to teach me the passer rating on look
- 33:55Speaker 3: at me because I can tell you how batting average works.
- 33:59Speaker 3: I can tell you about how I would say ninety
- 34:00Speaker 3: five percent of the ratings.
- 34:02Speaker 1: This is his work. I have no idea.
- 34:03Speaker 3: But when they're like parties, the first quarterback with twenty
- 34:05Speaker 3: minimal attempts to have perfect passer rating, like why it
- 34:08Speaker 3: was one hundred percent, Yeah that it was like twenty
- 34:10Speaker 3: one for twenty foting what.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's almost like if it's close enough, that's a
- 34:15Speaker 1: perfect path.
- 34:16Speaker 4: They round up.
- 34:17Speaker 1: He did play great. Auk is awesome debo.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I mean they're back, their weapons are there. But the
- 34:24Speaker 3: Bucks played pretty well. Bill's Wolf the Jets Josh Allen
- 34:27Speaker 3: three touchdowns. The Jets offense terrible. They switch quarterbacks. That's
- 34:31Speaker 3: that's it's a mess. I mean, there's no way Aaron
- 34:33Speaker 3: Rodgers comes back. If they're out out out, can you
- 34:36Speaker 3: get pull up the East? The AFC East, I just
- 34:39Speaker 3: want to hear. I'll go through one more game here
- 34:41Speaker 3: and then it's talking about the a FFC East Rams
- 34:44Speaker 3: over the Seahawks seventeen sixteen.
- 34:46Speaker 1: That stupid game.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Miss the game when he feeled GoF for the Seahawks
- 34:50Speaker 3: and they Rams come back. Stafford is like the greatest
- 34:54Speaker 3: old guy. Ever, and not only that, Cooper Cup got
- 34:57Speaker 3: hurt and they still it's I don't like it. I
- 35:02Speaker 3: don't like it. I need to Seahawks do to win,
- 35:04Speaker 3: all right, Okay, give me that.
- 35:06Speaker 4: So we got the Dolphins in first place seven and three,
- 35:08Speaker 4: Bills six and five, Jets four and six.
- 35:11Speaker 3: So the Jets are still hypothetically in it because if
- 35:19Speaker 3: there are still seven games left, they're four and six.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Let's say they go five and two, so that's nine
- 35:24Speaker 3: and eight.
- 35:24Speaker 1: They could you need the Bills to crap out like
- 35:28Speaker 1: they haven't crapping all year. I know, any faith that
- 35:30Speaker 1: they can win, I don't know. Man, last week, this
- 35:33Speaker 1: yesterday kind of looked good.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Yes, yesterday it gave it, gave a lot of Bills,
- 35:38Speaker 3: but also they were playing nobody correct.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I think the Jets defense is like they're over it.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah they play well, but they're just like, we can
- 35:44Speaker 4: only do so much.
- 35:45Speaker 1: But again they are a solid defense.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, but it's like if you're getting no
- 35:51Speaker 3: help at all, and I know you want to still
- 35:53Speaker 3: be great because if they go go another team, you
- 35:56Speaker 3: need tape. It's all you got to do. Individual stuff too. Yeah,
- 35:59Speaker 3: I could just see being a Jets, if it's a player,
- 36:01Speaker 3: been like, doesn't matter what we do, we're still gonna
- 36:02Speaker 3: freaking lose exactly. That's okay, that's your NFL. Look, Hey,

- 37:36Speaker 3: Let's look at college football real quick. Actually talked about
- 37:39Speaker 3: Michigan whooped up on Maryland, except they didn't whoop on them.
- 37:41Speaker 3: They didn't beat them, but they just I don't know, man, Michigan,
- 37:46Speaker 3: they were just turning the ball over.
- 37:47Speaker 1: It's called sloppy.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I felt like they could have won that game big,
- 37:51Speaker 3: but I felt and it also, you know, their thousandth
- 37:53Speaker 3: win was like the big story. But you see somebody
- 37:54Speaker 3: went and dug up their one thousand wins and one
- 37:56Speaker 3: of them was against the high school.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Oh no, of course.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Where was like that back in like I don't know, team, yes,
- 38:02Speaker 3: something like that. They were like, this is not accurate.
- 38:04Speaker 3: One win against a high school back in the day
- 38:07Speaker 3: at fan all right, hey, why don't we go play
- 38:09Speaker 3: that high school? Bamba whooped up on Chattanhoo. Again, wasn't close.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Louisville beat Miami. Good, good little game there. It was
- 38:17Speaker 3: down to the end. I mean they were back. It
- 38:18Speaker 3: was a good game back, Yeah, it really was. I
- 38:20Speaker 3: was happy to see Louisville win. Though Florida State whoops
- 38:23Speaker 3: Northern Alabama. But that's I mean Jordan Travis is he
- 38:27Speaker 3: went out in the first quarter. But his injuries is
- 38:28Speaker 3: gonna set their whole team back. They're not gonna be
- 38:30Speaker 3: able to lose one game and still make it.
- 38:31Speaker 6: Now.
- 38:32Speaker 3: That sucks for them, Yeah, because he's legit. Oh yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 3: Georgia Tennessee was never even a game.
- 38:39Speaker 1: First play man got to stop.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Ten Oh yeah, that was the first play.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Yeah, and then it was like George was like, oh, yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 4: we're done here, let's let's finish it.
- 38:47Speaker 1: And it was. It was never really a game after that.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Sadly, Ohio State WOO Minnesota DA DA DA, Oregon whooped
- 38:53Speaker 3: Arizona State DA DA DA. The Washington Oregon State game
- 38:57Speaker 3: was pretty good game. I thought was she would win.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I thought they'd win a little more. Ore Gon say
- 39:00Speaker 3: it was the favorite. But Washington did win, but they
- 39:02Speaker 3: didn't score it all second half.
- 39:04Speaker 1: That weather was definitely a factor. I thought it was
- 39:07Speaker 1: the time zone that affected him. They're all over. There
- 39:12Speaker 1: were two hours earlier, barely game, but like a lot
- 39:15Speaker 1: of rain. I mean it would just come really hard
- 39:17Speaker 1: and then it would like just chill for a little bit.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And every time that rain hit they couldn't is it
- 39:21Speaker 1: rain or snow? What was it?
- 39:22Speaker 5: It was raining?
- 39:22Speaker 4: But I just heard what you said.
- 39:23Speaker 1: That was all.
- 39:25Speaker 4: And you said the rain would come really.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Oh that's huge. Come on, I'm trying to talk football.
- 39:33Speaker 7: Heard it too.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Texas and I Aoway State game was closer than I
- 39:36Speaker 3: probably thought it would. It was a They end up
- 39:38Speaker 3: winning by ten, but there was a touchdown two point
- 39:39Speaker 3: conversion that for the way at the end. Uh Missouri
- 39:42Speaker 3: and Florida, close game. I don't think people expected that
- 39:46Speaker 3: one to be as close as it was. Missouri hits
- 39:48Speaker 3: a game winning field goal, and good for them. I
- 39:51Speaker 3: made Missouri's they have they have a want too long?
- 39:55Speaker 3: I mean lost Missouri have they lost one? So so
- 40:00Speaker 3: a one loss Missouri team. Okay, who they lose second
- 40:04Speaker 3: game to? They did beat Kansas State on a field
- 40:07Speaker 3: goal earlier in the year too.
- 40:08Speaker 1: We lost to Georgia. They've lost to LSU. Yeah they're
- 40:15Speaker 1: done LSU and Georgia.
- 40:17Speaker 3: So for like a number ten Louisville team, however, you
- 40:20Speaker 3: almost have to win your conference if you're Louisville in
- 40:22Speaker 3: the ACC. Missouri is not even gonna make it. They
- 40:26Speaker 3: have two losses in the East. Yeah, that sucks for them.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Kansas State wins thirty one to twenty seven over Kansas
- 40:32Speaker 3: Good deal, that's a good game. That's happy to see.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Kansas State's like my second favorite, third favorite team.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, oh me too, Dude. When I see a license
- 40:40Speaker 1: play car with a KNA State lis plate, I'm like, ye, man,
- 40:44Speaker 1: for sure, go Cats.
- 40:47Speaker 3: So we're gonna do a couple of interviews here. We
- 40:50Speaker 3: went to BYU, and I will say, hey, they're the
- 40:53Speaker 3: nicest fans. They're the nicest people and nicest fans. Everything
- 40:55Speaker 3: about BYU. I just want to hug all of it.
- 40:59Speaker 3: You think about going back to college to b YU,
- 41:02Speaker 3: Me too. I'm thinking about being a Mormon just for
- 41:04Speaker 3: b YU.
- 41:06Speaker 1: All right, let's do it. I'll do it with you.
- 41:08Speaker 1: So I want to.
- 41:08Speaker 3: We got a couple of these, including the head coach
- 41:10Speaker 3: coming up in a second, we're gonna chat with and
- 41:12Speaker 3: we thought it'd be fun to go talk to the
- 41:14Speaker 3: long snapper because he's the long snapper and then the
- 41:20Speaker 3: other guy's the punter in the holder sure, which is
- 41:22Speaker 3: always weird to me that you have to do two
- 41:24Speaker 3: important jobs. You gotta punt, you gotta hold for the
- 41:26Speaker 3: field goal kickers, so you can't just you can't go
- 41:28Speaker 3: and do punt practice while the kicker wants to do
- 41:30Speaker 3: kick practice.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah, because you gotta go hold and the punters is
- 41:34Speaker 1: built like a tight end.
- 41:35Speaker 3: The player was like a defensive end I believe in
- 41:38Speaker 3: and was recruited as a defensive end.
- 41:40Speaker 4: In the long snapper, was it.
- 41:42Speaker 7: Ye.
- 41:42Speaker 3: They're both big dudes, yeah, and they're both like like
- 41:45Speaker 3: chiseled and nice. Man, they're a miles gear but still
- 41:50Speaker 3: so Austin Riggs and the punter Ryan Rico. Austin is
- 41:53Speaker 3: fluent in four languages, that's wild. He served a mission
- 41:58Speaker 3: in Zimbabwe before playing at by U. Ryan was a
- 42:00Speaker 3: numb one ready kicker coming out of high school in Washington.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Follow them on Instagram at Austin r Riggs and Ryan
- 42:08Speaker 3: at our underscore recou twenty four. I don't know, just
- 42:11Speaker 3: find him.
- 42:12Speaker 1: On our page. Google it all. Right, here we go,
- 42:14Speaker 1: here's that interview. Okay, let me introduce you to our
- 42:16Speaker 1: new friends. Say your name and.
- 42:18Speaker 8: Your position, Ryan reco putter, Austiner Riggs long snapper and
- 42:23Speaker 8: so Ryan are you putt?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Do you hold too?
- 42:25Speaker 6: I do? Yeah, I'm the field goal holder as well.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Well, that's a weird pressure to that because you don't
- 42:30Speaker 3: get any credit for anything, but dang if you mess
- 42:32Speaker 3: it up.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Like everybody's like, that's on the holder.
- 42:35Speaker 6: I know it's it's a it's a thankless job. But
- 42:37Speaker 6: that's that's specialists in general. That's comes with the territory.
- 42:40Speaker 3: How did you Let's talk about the holding first, Like,
- 42:45Speaker 3: how did that come about?
- 42:46Speaker 2: Do you audition? Do you practice? What happens?
- 42:49Speaker 6: Man? Usually like you look in the pros, usually it's
- 42:51Speaker 6: the punter that holds for the kicker, just because they're
- 42:54Speaker 6: spending all the time together. There's like nothing else better
- 42:57Speaker 6: to do for a couple hours a day. So yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 6: when I got here as a freshman, they said, all right,
- 43:02Speaker 6: you guys are with each other enough, get good at it,
- 43:04Speaker 6: and that's gonna be how we roll.
- 43:06Speaker 2: And so you two are always together.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but what about if you want to punt and
- 43:09Speaker 3: it looks like he needs you to catch the pold Like,
- 43:13Speaker 3: what if you're like, no, man, I need a punt,
- 43:15Speaker 3: He's like, no, you need to catch it.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Freaking set. Yeah, Like is that is that not never
- 43:19Speaker 2: an issue?
- 43:20Speaker 6: There's some friendly disagreements. Yeah, yeah, but I mean you
- 43:22Speaker 6: roll with it like it's give and take for sure.
- 43:24Speaker 2: So what's a practice day like for you?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Oh?
- 43:27Speaker 2: Man, Like a Tuesday, a Tuesday or Wednesday.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Tuesday. We usually get out probably about thirty forty minutes
- 43:33Speaker 6: ahead of practice, just getting warmed up because that's usually
- 43:35Speaker 6: when the field is open and snappers are getting loose.
- 43:40Speaker 6: We're catching snaffs, punting, getting the field goal kickers ready
- 43:43Speaker 6: and stuff. Holding for them, and then usually special teams
- 43:47Speaker 6: is kind of right at the beginning of practice, so
- 43:49Speaker 6: we're rolling with the team, we're getting our field goals
- 43:52Speaker 6: in with everybody, kind of like the live operation we
- 43:54Speaker 6: call it. And then the rest of practice is just
- 43:58Speaker 6: be as productive as you can possibly be. So whether
- 44:00Speaker 6: it's stretching, whether it's just getting more reps in with
- 44:02Speaker 6: the guys, going and talking, making new friends and stuff
- 44:06Speaker 6: on the team, it's it's really just use your time
- 44:08Speaker 6: the best you can.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Are you when you're a practice, are you like trying
- 44:14Speaker 3: to stay out of the way of like the defensive
- 44:17Speaker 3: lineman or I Like, I just we went to another
- 44:21Speaker 3: school and they were they were weird about their specialists.
- 44:23Speaker 2: They had them in different rooms, and I was like,
- 44:25Speaker 2: that is not right because you two are also big.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Like you two are like large.
- 44:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't want to mess with you guys because the
- 44:31Speaker 3: other specials were like this tall.
- 44:34Speaker 6: No.
- 44:35Speaker 2: No, like you automatically get all respect because you're just
- 44:38Speaker 2: big dudes.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Like what is that?
- 44:40Speaker 2: What's that dynamic? Like I alady say, well, do you
- 44:44Speaker 2: do you know?
- 44:44Speaker 6: Picked on?
- 44:45Speaker 3: Do you?
- 44:45Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 44:46Speaker 8: So I think the weight rooms our biggest way to
- 44:48Speaker 8: show like where we're at. So I mean we try
- 44:52Speaker 8: to lift, we lift with the tight ends, defensive end
- 44:56Speaker 8: linebackers kind of that area, bigger dudes that can throw
- 44:59Speaker 8: a lot of weight but are still athletic and fast.
- 45:02Speaker 7: And so that's kind of where we're at.
- 45:04Speaker 8: And like you said, it's like we're big dudes, which
- 45:07Speaker 8: help us a lot because I mean on a field
- 45:10Speaker 8: goal or on a punt too, if Rian wants to
- 45:12Speaker 8: take a fake or they're putting pressure on me, we
- 45:15Speaker 8: can stand our ground and we're not just gonna get
- 45:17Speaker 8: blown up. And so the team definitely appreciates that Ryan
- 45:21Speaker 8: helps us out. I think the biggest with the respect
- 45:24Speaker 8: with the specialist is how big he punts that ball
- 45:27Speaker 8: and just how high it is. So I mean, everybody
- 45:30Speaker 8: respects a guy a lot more if he's the best
- 45:33Speaker 8: at it.
- 45:33Speaker 2: That's true.
- 45:33Speaker 7: So that's what we're kind of.
- 45:35Speaker 3: We get no respect, So that's only cool that you guys.
- 45:40Speaker 3: So what about you can when people line up obviously
- 45:44Speaker 3: they can't. It seems like they can't line up.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Right over you anymore.
- 45:47Speaker 3: Now have you been in both situations where before they
- 45:49Speaker 3: change the rules, did you ever have anyone line up
- 45:51Speaker 3: over you and go right in.
- 45:54Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it's definitely against the rules and you occasionally,
- 45:57Speaker 8: especially in high school, you'll probably get popped in every
- 46:00Speaker 8: once in a while. It's more dangerous not a punt
- 46:03Speaker 8: because when we go through the demonstration, I go completely
- 46:07Speaker 8: through my legs and so my whole back and spine
- 46:10Speaker 8: is exposed. So like all get bumped occasionally in a practice,
- 46:13Speaker 8: and I'll get frustrated because it does hurt a lot.
- 46:16Speaker 8: But the catches, they might not be able to line
- 46:19Speaker 8: up on you, but if you don't pop your head up,
- 46:21Speaker 8: they're gonna run right past you, especially on.
- 46:23Speaker 7: A punt, and then they'll go they have a free
- 46:26Speaker 7: release to go hit Ryan.
- 46:27Speaker 8: So it's kind of like how fast can I snap
- 46:29Speaker 8: the ball and pop my head up to block?
- 46:31Speaker 2: And then when you pop your head up though, then
- 46:33Speaker 2: your fair game.
- 46:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:34Speaker 8: Uh, like they just wait exactly.
- 46:43Speaker 2: When you're down. Are they ever talking crap to you?
- 46:46Speaker 7: Not a lot. I mean I try just to be
- 46:50Speaker 7: easy going.
- 46:51Speaker 8: I focus on my snap and then if they made
- 46:53Speaker 8: a funny comment prior to my snap, I might tell
- 46:56Speaker 8: them that was funny and then jog off after I
- 46:58Speaker 8: snapped it.
- 46:58Speaker 2: But they talk a lot, like did they talk like.
- 47:01Speaker 6: Yeah, you.
- 47:03Speaker 7: On a field goal?
- 47:04Speaker 8: They'll talk on a field goal because I'm not moving
- 47:07Speaker 8: after I snap it.
- 47:08Speaker 7: I'm just sitting there blocking.
- 47:09Speaker 8: And then they also want me to have a bad
- 47:12Speaker 8: snap so the kicker misses it and whatnot. But I mean,
- 47:16Speaker 8: they're not that creative, to be honest, So it's not like.
- 47:19Speaker 7: They're like saying some funny spec Yeah, yeah they did
- 47:24Speaker 7: for this.
- 47:24Speaker 8: No, they didn't find my girlfriend. They didn't find that
- 47:27Speaker 8: stuff out before the game.
- 47:29Speaker 3: So I would have to imagine that you guys played
- 47:31Speaker 3: other positions. I mean, you're both extremely athletic guys. What
- 47:35Speaker 3: were you playing in high school?
- 47:36Speaker 8: So I was a defensive end and then I also
- 47:38Speaker 8: played left tackle, so we just never came off.
- 47:42Speaker 2: How did you start snapping?
- 47:44Speaker 6: Then?
- 47:44Speaker 2: It was because they just seen it a snaper and
- 47:45Speaker 2: you happen to be good at it.
- 47:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I was pretty good at it.
- 47:48Speaker 8: And my dad kind of sat me down and was like,
- 47:51Speaker 8: you're not going to look like Tyler Battie who is
- 47:54Speaker 8: six six, two eighty five and shredded.
- 47:56Speaker 7: Like, I'm not going to get to that. But I
- 47:58Speaker 7: don't want to either.
- 47:59Speaker 8: It's like I want to stay with what I have.
- 48:02Speaker 8: And so my dad's like, why don't you just be
- 48:04Speaker 8: a long snapper? And be the best at it in college.
- 48:06Speaker 8: I was like, and go on to the pros too.
- 48:08Speaker 8: I was like, that's a good idea. So we talked
- 48:11Speaker 8: about it a little earlier with you guys. There was
- 48:13Speaker 8: a guy named John Denny and so he played for
- 48:15Speaker 8: the Miami Dolphins. He's an alumni from BYU, played there
- 48:19Speaker 8: for like fourteen seasons. Just massive dude, kind of the
- 48:22Speaker 8: heemoth of a man, and he just found out what
- 48:26Speaker 8: he was good at was athletic, big.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Enough, and the NFL loved him. Sodden like, why not
- 48:30Speaker 7: just do that?
- 48:31Speaker 2: Did you long snap in high school?
- 48:33Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 48:33Speaker 2: Okay, so did it help you get to a college?
- 48:38Speaker 6: Like?
- 48:38Speaker 2: Were they like, do they look for long snappers?
- 48:41Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 48:41Speaker 8: So they have a We all have different kickers have
- 48:44Speaker 8: different camps.
- 48:45Speaker 7: Snappers have different camps.
- 48:46Speaker 8: Like I went to it's called the Top twelve camp
- 48:50Speaker 8: with ruby a long snapping and it's kind of like
- 48:52Speaker 8: the Elite eleven but for long snappers.
- 48:55Speaker 7: So you go there. Ryan and I both went to it.
- 48:58Speaker 8: And so you go there, you're the top snapper punder
- 49:01Speaker 8: kicker in the nation. And then the colleges will reach
- 49:05Speaker 8: out to those coaches and say I want these specs
- 49:08Speaker 8: on a kicker, punter, snapper, And so we had a
- 49:12Speaker 8: specialist coach here and he's like, I want a big, tall,
- 49:15Speaker 8: fast guy.
- 49:16Speaker 7: Who do you have. They're like, Austin rapes perfect is.
- 49:19Speaker 3: The fast advantage just because on a punt you can
- 49:22Speaker 3: also run down and try to make a tackle.
- 49:23Speaker 7: Correct.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I do.
- 49:25Speaker 8: You want to have as many guys running down.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I thought you were going to keep your head down.
- 49:29Speaker 3: That's a field golf hunt, snap and kill. That's a
- 49:32Speaker 3: snap and kill man. And is there ever a situation
- 49:35Speaker 3: where you guys blame each other? I don't think so
- 49:39Speaker 3: bad snap no bath hole man, because we do that. Yeah, yeah,
- 49:42Speaker 3: nothing the same, but we blame you all the time
- 49:44Speaker 3: for everything.
- 49:44Speaker 7: We're pretty we know what we're doing.
- 49:46Speaker 6: We might talk to each other, but we're never gonna
- 49:48Speaker 6: like go in from the team and be like, hey, guys,
- 49:50Speaker 6: that wasn't my fault, Like that was Austin, like blame him,
- 49:53Speaker 6: not us or the kicker or anything. And I think
- 49:55Speaker 6: that's one of the main things that you look for
- 49:57Speaker 6: and a specialist is you don't want the guy that's
- 49:59Speaker 6: gonna like shirk that responsibility. So yeah, it definitely comes
- 50:03Speaker 6: with the territory. Like we're spending all practice doing this,
- 50:06Speaker 6: we should be pretty good. And if there's a there's
- 50:08Speaker 6: a mistake, then own up to it. Even if it
- 50:10Speaker 6: might not totally be your fault, you still take part
- 50:13Speaker 6: in that for sure.
- 50:14Speaker 3: If your kicker misses a pretty easy kick, like a
- 50:16Speaker 3: twenty two yard chip shot, do you still go, hey, man,
- 50:18Speaker 3: good job, We get him, buddy, or do you just
- 50:20Speaker 3: walk off we.
- 50:22Speaker 7: Give him a good buddy.
- 50:23Speaker 6: Yeah, That's that's the thing with like kickers, punters, whatever
- 50:26Speaker 6: it is, it's so much more mental than it is physical,
- 50:30Speaker 6: just because you might have like four or five plays
- 50:33Speaker 6: in a game, so like you might have four or
- 50:36Speaker 6: five snaps in a game, and like other positions, it's like,
- 50:38Speaker 6: oh yeah, next play mentality like I'm gonna line up
- 50:41Speaker 6: right after this one. For us, it could be twenty
- 50:44Speaker 6: thirty minutes, could be a couple of hours before we're
- 50:47Speaker 6: like getting the next rep. And so if you're if
- 50:50Speaker 6: you're easy to get down on yourself or looking for
- 50:52Speaker 6: excuses and stuff, that's just gonna roll right into your
- 50:55Speaker 6: next rep whenever it might be. And it's just not
- 50:57Speaker 6: gonna be a good mix.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I understand that, but what if he miss is like
- 51:00Speaker 1: four in a row, and like after the fourth money, you're.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Like, I don't know what to tell this guy, Like
- 51:05Speaker 2: I don't even know you did.
- 51:06Speaker 8: You definitely can't add to it. I can tell you
- 51:09Speaker 8: that you have enough guys on the team that will
- 51:11Speaker 8: come and be like, hey, why'd you miss that? And
- 51:14Speaker 8: he's gonna say I didn't mean to. It's like the
- 51:16Speaker 8: most clear and concise answer. It's like I didn't mean
- 51:20Speaker 8: to miss that.
- 51:20Speaker 6: Sorry, man.
- 51:21Speaker 8: So you have enough guys that will come and ask him,
- 51:24Speaker 8: like what happened? We all know, Like I know Ryan
- 51:27Speaker 8: knows how to hit the ball perfectly, a seventy yard
- 51:30Speaker 8: or whatever he wants to hit. If he doesn't hit that,
- 51:32Speaker 8: he has a better idea of what went wrong than
- 51:34Speaker 8: I do. And so I'm never gonna be like, hey,
- 51:37Speaker 8: your drop was a little to the left, Like he
- 51:39Speaker 8: knows more.
- 51:40Speaker 7: About it than I do. And so it's kind of
- 51:42Speaker 7: like we're good, Like no worries.
- 51:43Speaker 8: I'll give you the best snap and I'll try to
- 51:47Speaker 8: do my part as much as possible. And if it's
- 51:49Speaker 8: a low snap, I think Ryan actually punts the best
- 51:52Speaker 8: when it's a low snap.
- 51:53Speaker 2: So if it's sometimes I tell myself that if it's not.
- 51:59Speaker 6: Perfect, doesn't matter. Still got to.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Work with it.
- 52:00Speaker 8: Hey, Ryan, he definitely makes me look better, So if
- 52:03Speaker 8: it's a little off, he's like, Okay, we're gonna bomb this.
- 52:06Speaker 2: What kind of punter are you? Do you do the
- 52:08Speaker 2: thing where you run around and find out or do.
- 52:10Speaker 6: You just be So I'm more like pocket punters, so.
- 52:12Speaker 3: You just sit there and like, bring a baby, you
- 52:15Speaker 3: bust it exactly. What's your longest collegiate punt?
- 52:17Speaker 6: Collegiate pi is eighty three yards?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Whoa yeah, I mean was that the perfect role?
- 52:22Speaker 3: I mean did it hit probably like sixty and then
- 52:24Speaker 3: just fire off.
- 52:25Speaker 6: That one hit probably like seventy really and then rolled
- 52:29Speaker 6: it to the end zone. But like right off your
- 52:32Speaker 6: foot you're like, oh yeah, I felt that one. Like
- 52:34Speaker 6: so it's like a nice drive in golf.
- 52:35Speaker 2: You put it seventy in the air.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's amazing.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Yeah, golly, do you feel the guys coming?
- 52:41Speaker 1: Like do you even focus that or do you like.
- 52:43Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I mean you try not to. You're not
- 52:45Speaker 6: like steering at him as I'm gonna like pump the
- 52:47Speaker 6: ball or anything. But I mean we're human, right, Like,
- 52:51Speaker 6: if you feel guys flying past you. It's like you're
- 52:55Speaker 6: aware of it, but you're not like hyper focused on it,
- 52:58Speaker 6: if that makes sense.
- 52:59Speaker 3: Have you ever got away with I made someone like
- 53:01Speaker 3: nicking your toe and you're like.
- 53:04Speaker 6: You sell that as much as yeah?
- 53:05Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, because I was, Yeah, you gotta do it,
- 53:09Speaker 3: and I imagine most times it doesn't work, but occasionally
- 53:12Speaker 3: you can really sell it and get it.
- 53:13Speaker 6: Oh yeah. It's it's kind of like dependent upon the
- 53:16Speaker 6: angle that they come in where the rest are looking for.
- 53:18Speaker 6: But if you feel contact, you're just dropping like a
- 53:21Speaker 6: sack of bricks, Like just make it look pretty and
- 53:25Speaker 6: lay there for a second. Attention.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Do you hate when the not because they're about to score,
- 53:29Speaker 3: but just generally you versus him when the returner breaks
- 53:32Speaker 3: contain and it's he's coming, you're the last guy up.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that is that just a terrible feeling, the.
- 53:37Speaker 6: Worst feeling in the world. Yeah, we just have that
- 53:39Speaker 6: against Texas. So it's not fun.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Are you trying to position them to angle them to
- 53:42Speaker 3: the sideline? Like what if you see the guy coming,
- 53:45Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 53:47Speaker 6: It's so like bang bangs, So you're just I want
- 53:50Speaker 6: to get a at least a piece of them. I
- 53:52Speaker 6: want to get something on him. But like they're the
- 53:55Speaker 6: polar Taries, they're fast, like they're back there for a reason.
- 53:57Speaker 6: They can make stuff happen. And like, whenever you got
- 54:00Speaker 6: a guy with thirty yards head start running at you
- 54:03Speaker 6: and your stationary, it's gonna be really tough to to
- 54:07Speaker 6: kind of make up for that. You do the best
- 54:10Speaker 6: you can. If it doesn't end up working out like
- 54:12Speaker 6: that sucks, but again, you gotta move on and dant
- 54:15Speaker 6: dwell on it too much.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Can you always see him when he catches the ball?
- 54:19Speaker 6: Pretty yeah, I would think so. I don't think there's
- 54:21Speaker 6: ever been a time on like did he catch.
- 54:24Speaker 2: It because the guys are on the way.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's usually. I think it's pretty easy to tell,
- 54:29Speaker 6: just because you see the body linage of everybody else
- 54:31Speaker 6: around them, and so they kind of know, Okay, it
- 54:33Speaker 6: hit off of him and it's rolling around or fair catch,
- 54:37Speaker 6: whatever it is.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Two final questions. Have you just nailed the perfect coffin
- 54:41Speaker 3: corner on a game before?
- 54:42Speaker 6: Yeah? Yeah, a couple of dogs.
- 54:43Speaker 2: God, that would be the the that's got to be
- 54:45Speaker 2: the greatest. It's pretty sad, the greatest.
- 54:47Speaker 6: Yeah, just walk off the field.
- 54:49Speaker 2: And it's like at the at the half or the
- 54:51Speaker 2: one or the one and a half.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Oh, that would be awesome. Yeah, and then two your
- 54:55Speaker 3: what's your shortest shank?
- 54:57Speaker 6: Short shank? Wait?
- 54:59Speaker 1: Did eighty?
- 54:59Speaker 6: I'm cre someone in twenty seven?
- 55:01Speaker 3: And then when that happens is to hit off the
- 55:03Speaker 3: side of the foot, like what happens when there's a
- 55:05Speaker 3: man because all minor shanks, So I only know what
- 55:07Speaker 3: I do, like fourteen.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yards yeah, forty yeah, fourteen I was terrible, terrible.
- 55:13Speaker 7: It's still doubled it.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:16Speaker 6: Now I think there's a lot of stuff because it's
- 55:18Speaker 6: there's just a lot of moving parts with punning, but
- 55:20Speaker 6: a lot of it is like okay, I either have
- 55:22Speaker 6: the ball too turned in or like a finger nicked
- 55:24Speaker 6: it and then you're just swinging so fast. It's it's
- 55:28Speaker 6: not perfect.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 55:31Speaker 2: Do you know immediately?
- 55:32Speaker 6: Yeah? Oh yeah, it's literally that's the worst feeling.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Okay, the is Nelly Coffin corner better than how bad?
- 55:40Speaker 3: Which one is the more severe? Is it worse or
- 55:43Speaker 3: is it better? Thought like that, I hate to lose
- 55:45Speaker 3: more than I love to win.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt that.
- 55:47Speaker 6: Yeah, it's it's kind of like.
- 55:48Speaker 2: So you hate that you hate this ship more than
- 55:50Speaker 2: you do do That's.
- 55:51Speaker 6: The one, Like you could hit perfect punts every time,
- 55:53Speaker 6: but you have one of those. That's what you're gonna be.
- 55:56Speaker 2: It's also got to be a weird thing. This will
- 55:58Speaker 2: be the last thing I say about this.
- 55:59Speaker 3: To have a position where you need a good player,
- 56:02Speaker 3: but people don't want to see you. Yeah, because I
- 56:05Speaker 3: don't want to see the punter because that means we
- 56:07Speaker 3: have to punt.
- 56:08Speaker 6: The ball, exactly.
- 56:09Speaker 3: And you got to be like I can't wait to punt,
- 56:11Speaker 3: And I'm like, I don't want you to punt.
- 56:12Speaker 2: You know is that's your job exactly and you want
- 56:15Speaker 2: to be good at it and.
- 56:16Speaker 3: Show how good you are, especially to get collegiate honors
- 56:19Speaker 3: to go to the next level.
- 56:20Speaker 2: But nobody wants you to have to punt.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Did you know that round?
- 56:23Speaker 6: What was that?
- 56:24Speaker 2: Did you know that? We don't look forward to the funding.
- 56:26Speaker 6: Everybody just wanted to see. No.
- 56:28Speaker 2: Yeah, we love it.
- 56:29Speaker 7: When you do good.
- 56:30Speaker 2: We don't like it when you have to go out there. Yeah,
- 56:32Speaker 2: so I look at it.
- 56:33Speaker 6: It's a win win. It's like we got a first down. Great,
- 56:36Speaker 6: team's doing great. Go if I win, let's like, let's
- 56:39Speaker 6: do it. If we don't get it, sweet, I get
- 56:41Speaker 6: a opportunity to go out and try and help the team,
- 56:44Speaker 6: but it's never I mean, it's like only your mom
- 56:48Speaker 6: wants to see you out there here the punter.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Really, now me too, I'm gonna.
- 56:51Speaker 7: Be his mom?
- 56:52Speaker 6: Why everybody? Yeah? Yeah, family. But other than that, yeah,
- 56:55Speaker 6: it's comes with the territory. It's all right.
- 56:57Speaker 8: I think the worst part during a game is when
- 56:59Speaker 8: it's third down. We have to huddle right by where
- 57:03Speaker 8: the line of scrimmage is at and you have all
- 57:05Speaker 8: the offensive players and we're like pund alert, pund alert. Fun,
- 57:09Speaker 8: team's coming out soon. And it's just as awkward because
- 57:12Speaker 8: everyone else.
- 57:13Speaker 7: Is like, no, we're getting the first, we're getting the first.
- 57:15Speaker 7: And I'm like, we gotta get ready just in case
- 57:18Speaker 7: we don't. We don't want to go, but just in
- 57:20Speaker 7: case we're here ready.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we're ready to learn a little bit. So
- 57:25Speaker 3: let's hop to where you guys feel like it's pretty
- 57:27Speaker 3: good and she wants a couple.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Of things and let's see what we can do perfect.
- 57:33Speaker 7: Right.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Next up is are sitting down with BYU head coach
- 57:35Speaker 3: Kilanie Sataki. He did you in our video of too
- 57:40Speaker 3: Much Access read edited in some footage of him playing
- 57:42Speaker 3: running back.
- 57:44Speaker 1: It was like Michael saw it. Oh yeah, pretty amazing, peace.
- 57:48Speaker 3: A train because he doesn't look like he'd be a
- 57:51Speaker 3: running back. He's got a bigger guy now, but no,
- 57:55Speaker 3: he was a bigger guy then, just just ball of
- 57:57Speaker 3: muscle man crazy. So coach hockey BYU in ninety four
- 58:01Speaker 3: and then ninety seven, ninety eight, ninety nine, two thousand
- 58:04Speaker 3: under Lavelle Edwards, who's the Hall of Famer.
- 58:06Speaker 1: He's been the head coach a twenty sixteen.
- 58:07Speaker 3: You can follow him on Twitter at Kelani Sataki And
- 58:10Speaker 3: here he this dude.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I want to hang out with him some more makes
- 58:15Speaker 1: me want to be a Mormon. And I don't even
- 58:16Speaker 1: I don't even think he's a Mormon. I don't think
- 58:18Speaker 1: I know, I know, but I'm just like, whatever you
- 58:20Speaker 1: want to coach.
- 58:21Speaker 7: I love the dude.
- 58:22Speaker 1: All right, here you go, coach.
- 58:24Speaker 3: First one to say that I'm coming into this with
- 58:26Speaker 3: a headache because I'd seen running backs run through those
- 58:30Speaker 3: shoots before on television mostly look pretty easy, like foamy,
- 58:36Speaker 3: like maybe it's like a massage. When you ran through
- 58:39Speaker 3: that one out there was like big thick, fat whiffleball bats. Yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 3: that didn't want to bend. And so is that one
- 58:48Speaker 3: stronger than normal or am I just weaker than normal?
- 58:51Speaker 5: I think that's the standard of Okay, thank you, coach,
- 58:54Speaker 5: the standard one that we got.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks, So we're the weak ones.
- 58:57Speaker 3: That was not pleasant for me As a former running
- 59:00Speaker 3: back yourself, what was the version of that whenever you
- 59:04Speaker 3: were running?
- 59:05Speaker 5: It was similar, maybe just a little bit more rusted
- 59:07Speaker 5: and metal. Yeah, yeah, probably, yeah, But I mean maybe
- 59:13Speaker 5: that's just my memory. I think when you get older
- 59:15Speaker 5: everything was a lot tougher back in the day.
- 59:17Speaker 6: I think it might be.
- 59:18Speaker 5: The same stuff, but it's a very useful tool for
- 59:21Speaker 5: us to get ready, especially the running backs take on
- 59:24Speaker 5: hits and things like that.
- 59:25Speaker 3: When I was playing, not the same, not comparing it,
- 59:28Speaker 3: but when I was playing high school football, we and
- 59:30Speaker 3: I know I got prefs it with something.
- 59:33Speaker 2: We didn't get water when we wanted to do.
- 59:35Speaker 6: Yeah, that was the thing.
- 59:36Speaker 3: It was like water was a reward and you didn't
- 59:39Speaker 3: get it unless you deserved it. Now that doesn't happen now,
- 59:41Speaker 3: But was that in your day? Was that kind of
- 59:43Speaker 3: the same thing I remember?
- 59:44Speaker 5: I mean, I don't know if kids drink out of
- 59:45Speaker 5: a garden holes anymore. But we did, and I think
- 59:49Speaker 5: our water was the hose hooked up to a pipe
- 59:54Speaker 5: that had you just kind of that's what you did.
- 59:58Speaker 5: You went and drank from that, and I think you
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: had a couple of water breaks in a two hour practice.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: And now we got water available for these guys after
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: every play even, you know, so yeah, it's it's it's different.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: But I mean, I don't know if that was wise
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: by our time, then.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: I don't think we're just dehydrated ery terrible idea.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: I think I'm thank goodness for science and and and
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: you know, technology that we can put the kids in
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: a better position to have success, because, uh, maybe we
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: lucked out by just maybe we didn't move fast enough.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: These kids are a lot more explosive and a lot
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: more talented than we were back in the day.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: I was talking to a couple of players. They were
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: talking about the sports science crew you have here. What
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: is their main goal and what is it to help
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: the players with?
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: Well, I believe in being innovative and creative, and so
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: a lot of times you have to stay ahead of
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: the ahead of the curve, and you have to kind
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: of be able to forecast change, and I think sometimes
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: we can become creatures of habit and in sports, especially
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: in football, because you just say, hey, this is the
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: way we've always done it, and I think the rules change.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: There's a lot of different things that change constantly, and
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: if you're not changing with it, you're going to find
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: yourself way behind it. And so we bring this supports
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: science into it because the research that you do, in
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: the data they have gives us an opportunity to be
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: better and improve, and so that's what we're trying to do.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: I don't think it's anything unique that we do. I
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: think everybody's kind of going that way. And I just
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: know that if you don't innovate and you don't create,
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: then you end up pretty much falling way behind. And
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: we don't want to do that.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: I have a couple of friends that are the coaches
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: at their alma maters, and when I talk to them,
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: it feels like it's a little bit like Batman, and
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Batman says or in the movie it's like you die
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: a hero or you live long enough to be a villain.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Scott Frost is an example of Nebraska, like they love
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: that dude, like that's their dude.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Any went up and it didn't go right for him.
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: With you, it.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Feels like this provo be white.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: It feels like they love you more than any of
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: those other coaches that I know, Like, like, you're there, dude,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: And is there an extra pressure on you because you
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: got to represent one because this is your school and
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: two because well you're representing everybody that went to.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: This school and I mean this town.
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: Well, I think for me, I grew up First of all,
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: I love being a player here for levelled Or it's
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: a legend and I had a great experience with him.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: So a lot what we do in the program is
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: what he did for me, you know. And so the culture,
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: the environment, we're trying to create that family atmosphere that
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: he did for me when I was a student athlete,
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: because it works and so I enjoyed it. But before that,
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: before I was a coach and before I was a
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: player at BYU, I always loved BYU as a fan.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: So I think for me it's maybe a little bit
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: different because I grew up a BYU fan in Hawaii
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: and just in the North Shore, and there's there's guys
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: in my neighborhood that played for BYU that I grew
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: up and they looked like me, and I see them
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: playing BYU, so to me it was easy follow. But
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: my family loved BYU, so we always kind of I
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: don't remember ever starting to cheer for them. I just
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: always did. And so I think for me, I understand
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: where the fans come from because I am one, so
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: I can understand the frustration. I can understand the excitement,
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: the energy, and so I think for me, I just
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: try to feed to that as much as possible and
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: try not to get so much in coaching mode. I mean,
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: I'm a coach, I get it. I'm responsible for the program,
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: but again my roots are that I'm a fan first,
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: and my responsibility as a coach is to provide entertainment
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: and make the fans happy as well as connected to
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: taking care of the players. And so if I do
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: that the right way, I think it should work out fine.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Speaking of that coach, if it's fourth and one, fourth
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and two and you're like, nah, we just got to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: punt this, but the crowd's like, no, we.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: Gotta go for it.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Do you give into that or are you just like no, Man,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I'm head coach. I think this is the right idea.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: I mean, I am a fan too, So when you
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: say the fans are doing that, I'm doing that.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Too, yelling at too.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we go for a lot on fourth down. But
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: I mean, I'm the guy that when I played mad
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: and I tried different things. I you know, I use
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: punk block as a defense just for fun and saying
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: stuff like that, you know what I mean.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, field goal blocks, stuff like that.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: I just wanted to try things out. And I think that, uh,
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: I think fans can appreciate the aggressive play, the desire
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: to want to make the play now. But I also
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: have had enough time as a player and as a
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: coach it that I can do things within reason, you know.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: And and I like, I think everybody looks at the
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: analytics and the data and say, okay, this this makes
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: sense to do it this way, and the data the
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: resource says you should you should go for it. In
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: this situation, I still feel like there has to be
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: a feel for it and kind of a gut and
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: an instinct that that you kind of have to approach
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: to it as well, and considering the momentum and who's
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: on the in the in the game at a certain time,
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: so I try to factor.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: All that in.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: But even with that being variables that I consider, I
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: still make the wrong decisions sometimes. But if I'm going
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: to make the wrong decision, I want it to be
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: aggressed if and I want the fans to know that
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: the reason why I did it. I know I'm gonna
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: have to answer for it sometime, but I think I'm
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: okay with it is as long as I have the
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: right reasoning and and and the right data to back
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: it up. At the same time. Uh, sometimes when you're
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: in a really difficult spot and you just have a
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: feeling to go for it and doesn't work out, that's
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: all right. I mean, that's that's life.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: I wouldn't have never met my wife if I didn't
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: do that. So I think it's okay to be bold
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: and to to to dare to do things, and even
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: to fail. I think it's okay to fail in the
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: great things and then you learn from it.
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: I got to follow up to know what bold did
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: you do to meet your wife? Was it fourth and.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: One for a coach?
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: No, I think it's just like just having the courage
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: that to introduce yourself and talk to two people. You know,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: that's it's always scary. I think that the fear of
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: rejection stops a lot of people from from trying, and
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: sometimes failure will be will be something can really stop momentum,
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: you know, I get I try to look at the
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: best parts of life. I think sometimes we focus on
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: the negativity and then like a bad breakup for example,
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: and all that all that has done is get you
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: closer to finding the love of your life, you know. So,
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: I I really believe there's this adversity that happens in
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: your life, but how you respond to it really gets
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: you the prize at the end. And that's if I
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: didn't think that way, and everyone's raised that way by
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: my father and my family around me, that I don't
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: think I would be sitting here right now.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Do you ever go out after a game, win or loss,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: you don't really know or maybe don't like the other
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: coach and you just don't say anything to them, but
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: just like you smoke your mouth like so the camera
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: thinks you're saying something.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: No. I actually had tons of respect for every coach,
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: that's every single one of them.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Well, I mean, obviously I try to get to know them.
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: Here's here's the thing I try to find the common bond.
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: Common bond is that we do the same job and
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: that we when we got into it, our our main
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: motivation was to mentor young people and the great teachers
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: for them and get a great example. So I can
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: respect that and the other coaches, I actually try to
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: try to get to know them and try to be
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: friends with them. I know that that's not my job.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: I guess most coaches don't really care to be open
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: to that, but you'd be surprised. I think most of
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: the coaches are they're they're they're open to it. I
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: haven't had any problems getting to know other coaches, and
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: they're really friendly, you know. So I to to ask
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: your question, I haven't had one one coach that I've
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: actually met that I didn't like. I like them all,
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: and in fact, I've become really good friends with many
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: of them. Oh yeah, I've met Lane before. I mean
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: he so he coached with Norm Chow, who was a
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: mentor of mine, was offense coordinated when I was here,
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: and Sark who is a teammate of mine. Yeah. So
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: I appreciate his his honesty, and I think he has
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: some unique perspective. But you have to think about, well,
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: what can you learn from the things that he does
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: is he has a legendary father as a coach, and
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: I think he does some great things as a mentor too.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: I know I know players that have played for him
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: and enjoyed his mentoring, and so yeah, I really appreciate
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: what he does in the game.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Hilarious that it's hilarious to me. Final three questions. You
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: get the job, You're now the head coach, it's your
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: ama Monteror do you have a minute where you look
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: in the mirror and.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: You're like this is crazy? Like I get to be
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: the guy that gets to wear the.
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: Why Yeah, every day, every day, and it's a dream
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: for me, So I don't. My goal is never to
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: take this job for granted and to make sure that
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: I am humble enough to realize that day one, the
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: day that i'm right now my eighth year as a coach,
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: that I have to have the same energy and that
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: same excitement as it was day one. And I think
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: I've been able to do that. But it's just I'm human,
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: So it's not easy, you know. That's why I have
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: wonderful people around me, like my wife and my other
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: loved ones. That can keep me humble and I have
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: no problems listen. I know that it takes a lot
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: of hard work to get here, but the hard work
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: and the sacrifice mostly by the people that love me.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: And all I did was kind of listen and be
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: obedient to things that they asked me, the advice that
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: they give me, and then it just worked out for me.
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: So I would always tell young people that if you
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: want you want a good life, then make sure that
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: you have wonderful people around you that support you, love
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: you from day one, you know the day ones, and
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: then just listen to them and anytime they criticize you
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: or give you some advice, and there's nothing wrong with
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: listening and kind of applying it to So for me,
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: I try to live my life like that. And the
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: day that I don't and that I don't enjoy it and
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: I lost that day. One excitement is the day I
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: should retire.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Coach I played in high school and made fun of
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: me for saying that, No, I'm just saying I played
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: in high school and Bones and I we've been able
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: to do this at a few schools and we suit
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: up and we put the gear on, we run the drills,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: running back drills and all this stuff, and after like
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: twenty minutes or fifty minutes, I'm like, this is exhausting,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: and you guys do a day and day out, And
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I promise, coach, I will no longer sit on the
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: couch and criticize what you guys do, because that's.
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: Some hard work.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Your boys are putting some hard work and you're putting
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: a lot of time in and we just sit at
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: home with a beer in our hand being like this
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: is like, come on.
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Why would you do that?
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: That's a stupid play And what do you think about that? Like,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: what what do you think about us?
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: Well, it's well, and I appreciate the fans because without
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: without the fans, and this game doesn't move, you know.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: It's so we're critical, coach.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's okay. Yeah, but if you do your
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: job and there all your fans are happy, and my
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: goals to make all all our fans happy, you know.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: But the other side of that is, as you for
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: our players, you look at the people that are willing
- 1:10:44Speaker 5: to do it, the players that are willing to work
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: all these days, all these hours, for only sixty minutes
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: of an opportunity to play, and so when you think
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: about our guys. We have one hundred and twenty three
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: guys in the team, and they practice and they train
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: all year round, some mandatory, some on their optional, and
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: they only get twelve opportunities if they're healthy to play
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: sixty minutes each and if you're a starter, you probably
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: play like maybe twenty twenty two minutes of that. And
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: so when you think about it, and you add up
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: all this all the time, and you invest in it
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: to only get maybe a chance that twenty two minutes
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: as a starter, and you're a backup guy or you're
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: not even on a travel squad, and they are willing
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: to do it just for the chance to play on
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: that field, that's something special. And then you're going against
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: a team that feels the same way, So how can
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: you not respect them for doing the same thing. And
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: and you're in the stadiums filled with fans that love
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: what you do. But I think that the fans understood
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: the sacrifice and the energy the investment that these young
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: men put into it, and the coaches then they can
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: maybe understand a little bit more. But there's nothing wrong
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: with fans getting excited and having fun. And if you
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: know as a fan, maybe maybe put down the beer
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: and drink a root beer once in a while.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Yeast much fun. Then you won't be Yeah, last question,
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: talk about being in the Big Twelve for the first time.
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: Yeah, we love it, and we knew we were going
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: to be in a couple of years ago, and when
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: the announcement happened. I'm so excited about the leadership and
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: the Big Twelve. I'm excited about the camaraderie and the
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: connection that I have to the other coaches. And you
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: talk about other coaches, the coaches in the Big Twelve
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: have been amazing and and talk about like sportsmanship and
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: and and just the business relationship we have. But then
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: it's also for them to be so welcoming to me
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: and to the other new coaches into the conference. It's
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: been really cool. We've been part of the meetings for
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: a couple of years now and all those guys have
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: been amazing. And then to see them as coaches and
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: then to have them include us as with something really special.
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: And I love being a part of this conference. And
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: then we get to go out and see all these
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: fans at the different stadiums on the road, and then
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: they come here to visit it's been really cool. I've
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: enjoyed it now, you know, on the field, the field stuff,
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: I mean, that's what I have to control. But it
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: can't really complain that love being a part of something
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: really special and and I love that that our leadership
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: is innovative and trying to find different ways. But the
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: partners in this, in this conference are amazing.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: Coach, appreciate you, love how you do what you do.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: I think a lot of what you do speaks for itself,
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: and a lot of what you say when you speak
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: just reinforces what you do.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: And so a big fan.
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: I didn't like to beat the crap out of this
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: this year, but whatever. But other than that, congratulations.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: You got a great team. I mean, it happens all
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: of us. And I mean the thing is that's what
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: makes football fun and exciting.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: That wasn't fun for me, So no, that was not
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: I know, so you can't understand positive.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: That environment was awesome though. It is amazing for us
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: to be there in that, but it was We lost
- 1:13:42Speaker 5: the Texas. That was an amazing experience too. We just
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: the scoreboard just didn't work out our way. But you know,
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: I think there's a there's always some positive things to
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: take from.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: It, not for me, not from that game.
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: This guy.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: Okay, coach, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: Guys.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Okay, so let's do this before we wrap it up.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Promises. I believe I promised UNLV.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: You had no UTSA.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Hey, great promise. That's right.
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: You know it was last week.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: That's right, got it? Yep, Utsa. I promise UTSA would
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: win and they did. And I text the coach after
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: the game, like right when the game was over, and
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: he text me back, it's pretty awesome.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Did we watch that on the bus? That was fun?
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: After Louisville.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: It was a late game for San Antonio because that's
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Central time zone.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: It was eleven thirty. Were on the bus to.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Come back from Louisville on a comedy show. So no
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: money for me going to the pot.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Nice work, read it.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: I had the Cowboys minus ten and a half. No
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: money from you, No money, Eddie.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I had the Cowboys tan and minus standing money money.
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: From me, Calvin, guys, I had to pay up already, okay,
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Steelers plus one.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Oh what's in the broken promises?
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: Jar?
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: Lots of money?
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Do we have a tab on it yet?
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: It's like one hundred because I think last time shacks.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: There's one sick on seventy.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: And then let's talk about our NFL picks. We all
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: picked every game and.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, just finding ways.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: To put money in the program. So first, because the
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: last place is only the only one has to do it.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Kevin, who finished first?
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: Read and I tied again for first?
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Stuck with this? What is happening?
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Okay, who finished h third? Who got who got too cute? Yeah?
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Who finished the last place? If somebody finished last.
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: Place, there's a tie?
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Oh no, so it's void. Yeah, put in five apiece. No,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I like that. No, we finished last. We have to
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: go ten each. I'm getting to the point where I
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: have to clear it with my wife.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: Now, I hear you, but you can win it all
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: back and like a week? Correct, well week do we
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: do this?
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: Twelve?
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: So next week?
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: Oh already thirteen thirteen. That feels early. Twelve feels early.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: Let me run through my final notes with Brice Young.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: I think it will be good. I wrote that I
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: watched in the whole game.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: That's what you wrote down. Yeah, that's all I wrote.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Remember to say it. The Bears are solid with fields
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: being healthy. They choked at the end. I wrote that
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: down like that.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Straut with three picks kept trying to give the game up,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: but the Texans defense and rest of the team wouldn't
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: allow it. He's a good win for the Texans. The
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Giants picked six versus Washington. Oh, the throw out of
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: balance and a toss out of balance. Oh, that's what
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: he was throwing the ball out of bounds. But that
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: was their They intercepted the ball and ran it back.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: It was a throwaway past.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Oh, I just saw the end of it.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I didn't know that was.
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Exactly what he was trying to throw the ball out
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: of bounce, and that's what the interception was. Yeah, he
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: didn't throw it far enough. Oh, I was pissed about that.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Eliminader got me.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Jalen Ramsey's big hot flying pick for the dolphinse he's hurt.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Hope he's okay. I wrote that. Hope he's okay. I
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: don't know why. I guess you're probably thinking you're gonna
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: send him the notes. And then Herbert loses again. His
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: final pass was blocked. Line. That was it? So, uh,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: what were your notes on the Cowboys?
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: I didn't make a note. I knew I would remember he.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Just wrote how about them cowboys? I didn't write that.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: So Eddie, we owe ten more bucks man Kevin O's
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: ten bucks. We have one more week and then we
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: bet go two weeks for the money.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Right, yeah, where's the week thirteen?
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: So now we have two weeks then, because this week
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: ten we just.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Finished, right, I think we just finished even Yeah it's
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: week eleven, okay.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: I must be looking at records that have had by
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: a week.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Then yeah, yeah, we just leashed eleven. So one more week.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: Then we play for the money yep, where we eliminate
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: one person each week.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Oh my god, O good, Yeah that sounds great. Do
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: you want to hear my betting stats for the weekend? Oh? Please?
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I feel like you did. You did pretty well well.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: The problem was they were like, if you meet this
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: criteria of betting this many bets of one hundred and
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: fifty bucks a bet, you'll get a free seventy.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Five dollars bet.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: And I was like, only have three more to do,
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: so I'm just gonna bet one fifty one fifty one fifty.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: I also all three of the one fifties, but you
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: got a bonus bet of seventy five. So overall they
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: got you got me that last game last night, so
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: we got me, okay, So here we go. Over the
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: weekend in Cuba bets, I bet twenty five total wager
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: three thousand, seven hundred and sixty three dollars, total winnings
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: five thousand, five hundred ten dollars for a plus of
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: seventeen forty seven.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: That's a good week making money at smiles whatever making smiles.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Get them out the NFL.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: Those last bets got me because I bet all those
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: one fifties on the game and I lost. All the
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: total bets seventeen total wagers four thousand, seven hundred and
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: seventy dollars, total winnings four thousand, six hundred eighty nine
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: dollars for minus eighty one. Over the weekend, I'm plus
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: one thousand, six hundred and sixty six dollars at at
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: eight thousand dollars betting weekend. Now for the whole summary
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: of the year, total bets three hundred and sixty six
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: total wager sixty two thousand, two hundred and forty dollars.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Last week, risk taker.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Last week I was at minus twenty five hundred. This
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: week I'm at minus eight hundred and fifty seven. Okay,
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I'm working my way. I had too bad really bet
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: not this week, but the San Francsco in the Arkansas
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: bets were multiple thousands.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to dig out from so Kevin. What was
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: my worst game of the weekend?
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: Washington the Commanders? You had them minus three and a half,
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: minus one and a half, minus eight and a half.
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: I lost four un and fifty bucks.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: You were believing on that one. I kept think that
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: we're going to come back. Sure, I think we all did.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I lost four fifty four to fifty. And what was
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: my best?
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: But your best was the Thursday night game the Bengals
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: where you bet two thousand total between two different bets
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: and you won THIRDY.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Forgot about thirty. That was early on.
- 1:19:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we talked about that on the show Friday.
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: I think we did. Yeah, we did. Yeah, and I
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: want how much?
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: You won three thousand, six hundred and.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Thirty eight bucks had a boy had a boy on.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: The over and Bengals plus fourteen.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: That helps you claw back.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: I squeak and I squeaked those man. Oh yeah, very
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: last touchdown drive, I.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Hit a good one. I hit four part Christian McCaffrey
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to score a touchdown, Ceedee Lamb to score a touchdown,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: behave those, David Montgomery score a touchdown, and Tyree after
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: on the top I saw that, would you how much
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: you bet? I just put five bucks on how much
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: you get? I want like twenty let's go too.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Who cares about what the money is, it's the return
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: on it.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I'm with you, dude. Four time.
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: I took one of those two that had the this
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: and Luca over as well Saturday night and they both
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: hit five bucks forty six bucks.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Wow, that's awesome.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: I took a couple of those. There were like ten
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: leggers that they had up there, and they both they
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: all missed.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Oh hit the button.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: I did bet.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: I did bet a thirteen game parlay and missed one game.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Dude, I listened to this podcast and they do a parlay.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I miss one. I missed early, and I was so pissed.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: I think I missed one.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Maybe I missed one and I missed early and I
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: didn't check back, and maybe I didn't win the last two.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: I don't know. Uh what podcast, Uh twenty five whistles
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: they do a three game parlay. I put some money
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: on that and didn't didn't hit that on. Those guys
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: are idiots.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: They haven't once.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: It's like week two. I know that I gotta stop
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: doing that.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Yeah, the new episode with TCU is up of too
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: much access. Thank you guys for being here. Eddie blow
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: the whistle and we are we forgetting.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Really good, good good, All right, blow it.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: We'll see you guys later in the week.
