- 0:27Speaker 1: want to know only the fly, the community and the
- 0:29Speaker 1: entrepreneur and the actress, the least one chosen one. Yes, girl,
- 0:34Speaker 1: you you've been saying all that through this quarantine. Honey,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I've been praying, I've been writing, I've been creating this
- 0:41Speaker 1: whole quarantine. I mean, it's definitely a self care moment.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's definitely a reflecting time. I'm a big spiritual person,
- 0:48Speaker 1: so everything I see around that's going on it so
- 0:52Speaker 1: biblical for me. And um, I think people need to
- 0:54Speaker 1: understand and wake up and understand, you know what, we
- 0:57Speaker 1: guys want to get our attentions somewhere and some somehow
- 1:00Speaker 1: in some way. So I'm big on that. And I've
- 1:03Speaker 1: just been in the crib and just handing on my
- 1:04Speaker 1: business from home. I been on lives. I just dropped
- 1:06Speaker 1: into single so I've been on My Lives interviews and
- 1:09Speaker 1: all like this a booty squeeze the bang in the
- 1:10Speaker 1: e SERI, oh boody squeeze y'all, and it's super living.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I begin some cool responses from a lot of people,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and we're just trying to push that and I gotta
- 1:22Speaker 1: follow up a song called Jackpot. So we just were
- 1:24Speaker 1: just my team just still moving and it's so God
- 1:27Speaker 1: is good. It's up speaking of God, you know, shut
- 1:30Speaker 1: us down, trying to get us to hear his message.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I feel like that came from all of your people
- 1:35Speaker 1: down in Florida, girl down. I'm from Miami up. Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's where everybody was being hot, trying to go to
- 1:47Speaker 1: the beaches. Nobody wanted to sit their asses down in
- 1:51Speaker 1: the house. And now look, I am a car. I'm
- 1:54Speaker 1: not to call trick and shream and said, what's happening that?
- 1:58Speaker 1: What's going on? I wait, I have some intel on
- 2:01Speaker 1: Pretty V so solo and I I had to send
- 2:05Speaker 1: one of my old program to Reactor's Reggie Rouse a
- 2:08Speaker 1: birthday um shout out, and I saw the video and
- 2:12Speaker 1: then I see Pretty V in the video, and I
- 2:15Speaker 1: believe I would over her say she used to be
- 2:17Speaker 1: an intern at V one on three? Is that true?
- 2:20Speaker 1: What year? Oh my god? What year was the two
- 2:24Speaker 1: out in fourteen? Okay? I was gone by then. Okay,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and what were you doing? I was in promotions, but
- 2:30Speaker 1: you know they had me all over the place. Um.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So it was promotions. UM shout out to um Envy
- 2:36Speaker 1: and the whole Yeah family, tagging all them and miss
- 2:40Speaker 1: Johnny Young, Miss Jennet, like it was so dope to
- 2:44Speaker 1: to be alongside those people. And I used to always
- 2:47Speaker 1: walk past tickets office like you don't want them to
- 2:49Speaker 1: meet him. I went to this, I'm going to Jack
- 2:52Speaker 1: and now I'm interviewing there and I was just showing
- 2:54Speaker 1: so much love, shout out to Greg and tagging his
- 2:57Speaker 1: family out so and even in robbing up Carolina to UM,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I did some I used to work in radio SO
- 3:03Speaker 1: promotions one at some point nine in Charlotte Raleigh, UM
- 3:08Speaker 1: with Brian Dawson, and I have my own radio show
- 3:10Speaker 1: in podcast show last me to in the v x
- 3:12Speaker 1: SO show. Could absolutely have the personality for that job
- 3:17Speaker 1: and has to be an on air personality. Did you
- 3:20Speaker 1: ever think about doing that? Oh? That was the goal.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's why I had those shows. And they had the
- 3:24Speaker 1: podcast an internee Yeah, yeah, interneing. That was the whole goal,
- 3:29Speaker 1: to to intern at those stations and see how I
- 3:32Speaker 1: would go. But you know, I just told myself, I
- 3:34Speaker 1: just want to be in front of the mic. Now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You know, I'm sure Man is always trying to get
- 3:38Speaker 1: me to to do some stuff. He's like, yo, I
- 3:39Speaker 1: gotta show you. Are you know I need you on air?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Like yeah, So he's always hit me up every other
- 3:45Speaker 1: day like the I promise you when I get my stuff,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm I want you on air, And I'm like you
- 3:51Speaker 1: all right, right right, So I'm gonna follow alert. So
- 3:55Speaker 1: you know that is so dope. Can't wait to see that.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I feel like your career has really just to us.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It looks like it advanced very quickly, but obviously you've
- 4:04Speaker 1: been putting the work and everybody knows that you surrounded
- 4:07Speaker 1: yourself around the right people. It seems like I know
- 4:10Speaker 1: they're friends with VI, Samone and all these other influencers
- 4:13Speaker 1: that really just kind of hits the scene hard and
- 4:15Speaker 1: helped off running. Hey, what quick funny story. When I
- 4:19Speaker 1: first met Pretty V she was c w at Streets
- 4:22Speaker 1: now four or five, and she came in in the
- 4:24Speaker 1: bath rob. I actually stabbed my bath robe. I gotta
- 4:26Speaker 1: find it, yeah, bathro because I believe you were selling
- 4:30Speaker 1: you were some of your bath robes. Correct, Yes, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: still am yeah. I So you know, I started off
- 4:35Speaker 1: with the whole pink robe bonnet vibe, and I was like,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know what, hell people are loving this pink road.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Every comment I see is pink roll. This pink robe
- 4:43Speaker 1: is killing me, not the road, not the bonnet. So
- 4:45Speaker 1: I was like, you know, all right, let me do
- 4:47Speaker 1: something with it. So I branded that and I got
- 4:50Speaker 1: my own rope line called the Peak So Collection. Um,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and then I have apparel, shirts, hats, hoodies, just my
- 4:57Speaker 1: difference saying like I have my yo, what up on
- 4:59Speaker 1: the back or get money? Call your daddy because I
- 5:01Speaker 1: have different caret this peanut. You know your daddy Shut
- 5:04Speaker 1: it up, um bob y'all, like just different things that
- 5:07Speaker 1: I say in my comedy skits onto my merch and um,
- 5:11Speaker 1: my robe my first baby that I I broke out,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and then it was the bonnet, and then it was
- 5:15Speaker 1: the Peril so I might still have it. Everything sold out,
- 5:18Speaker 1: so we're trying to just get that back up and
- 5:20Speaker 1: running soon and having Booty Squeeze T shirts right now.
- 5:24Speaker 1: We got the T shirts. They were sold out last week.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I have I have a little bit more left. I
- 5:30Speaker 1: checked my um my weeks this morning. I was like, wow,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I did good overnight, so they're almost sold out. So
- 5:35Speaker 1: I'm so excited. That's love because let me tell you,
- 5:38Speaker 1: People'm not really sitting on money. Girl does quarantine like that?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Not right? Love? That is love. I said, you gotta
- 5:44Speaker 1: go down the city Trends because you are your girls
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the store, Toup, Let's talk about that electronics for
- 5:48Speaker 1: a little bit. Girl, I was already an ambassador for
- 5:52Speaker 1: city Trends. Um and um My, my manager shout out
- 5:57Speaker 1: the keyon. She was like, you know what, like we
- 5:59Speaker 1: need to have your merchand stores like you need to
- 6:02Speaker 1: stamp something or like pretty meeting something like My whole
- 6:05Speaker 1: goal in this industry is just to have longevity, Like
- 6:08Speaker 1: you know, I want to be beside the gym carries,
- 6:12Speaker 1: sit with the Ellen gender is like have these conversations.
- 6:15Speaker 1: That's gonna you know, I'm gonna get knowledge. But I'm
- 6:17Speaker 1: always a student. Even when I get to a certain
- 6:19Speaker 1: place in my life, I'm always going to remain a
- 6:21Speaker 1: student because I want to learn UM. So for me,
- 6:24Speaker 1: when I did the Brandon baskets, all right, I'm just
- 6:27Speaker 1: shoting him. I'm just like a fashion over deal like
- 6:28Speaker 1: y'all comand of city Trends. We had a big back
- 6:31Speaker 1: to school UM event at one of the locations here
- 6:34Speaker 1: in Atlanta, and we had those kids wrapped around the
- 6:37Speaker 1: building like I'm all about the kids, like we had
- 6:38Speaker 1: it wrapped around the building. It was like four kids
- 6:41Speaker 1: just wanting to meet me and wanted to get a pencil,
- 6:44Speaker 1: a pen and get a twenty five a gift card.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And I was like, you know what, like it could
- 6:48Speaker 1: be so much more that I could do with this company,
- 6:50Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna like we're gonna have a meeting, like
- 6:52Speaker 1: we need to have something. So they brought they brought
- 6:55Speaker 1: it to my attention. First. I was like, I was
- 6:57Speaker 1: gonna come to y'all because I want my body's down
- 6:58Speaker 1: with my ropes here. I want like curious like I've
- 7:01Speaker 1: been I'm bringing back to each you want to bring
- 7:04Speaker 1: back baby fat At this point, like like we need
- 7:07Speaker 1: to get it together. So I picked out everything in
- 7:10Speaker 1: their catalog. I said, I want to he phones because
- 7:12Speaker 1: to me, it was represented on air and the radio
- 7:14Speaker 1: I was doing in the beauty side. It was just like,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm so sensitive with my skin on my own brushes.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I want that's to be fired. Like I want all
- 7:22Speaker 1: the beauty things to represent pretty v unapologetic rawn, you know, uncut,
- 7:27Speaker 1: like I want everything to be dope. So yeah, I
- 7:30Speaker 1: got a beauty line and a chunk line. It came
- 7:32Speaker 1: about just you know, just manifesting it and just having
- 7:34Speaker 1: that first meeting like that, Okay, now be I'm think
- 7:38Speaker 1: you're really close to be some own. So did anybody
- 7:42Speaker 1: ever try to compare you and the and the makeup
- 7:44Speaker 1: line to hers? Because I know she made a She
- 7:46Speaker 1: had a big campaign around the release of hers, even
- 7:49Speaker 1: her like Road to a Million was a thing. People
- 7:51Speaker 1: ever try to compare you guys or feel like you
- 7:53Speaker 1: guys are kind of just copying off each other you
- 7:55Speaker 1: don't have your own brand identity or do you feel
- 7:58Speaker 1: secure that she got her that you at yours? Yeah?
- 8:01Speaker 1: I mean I think people used to always pair me
- 8:03Speaker 1: and be as far as I mean, me and b
- 8:05Speaker 1: have made a lot of money together, so with me,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you know, hip hop squares, waggling out girls, cruise um,
- 8:12Speaker 1: instagram s, kids, I mean it's always like like pretty
- 8:15Speaker 1: being basing one, Like you guys are like the perfect match.
- 8:18Speaker 1: When it comes to business, I'm in my own lane.
- 8:20Speaker 1: When it comes to be smone, she's in her own lane. Um,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't sell lip loss. I don't have a book,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you know for me. You know, we're comedians, but we're
- 8:29Speaker 1: in our own lane. And I think, you know, it's
- 8:31Speaker 1: just uh. I think that's how raw it is. And
- 8:33Speaker 1: that's why you know, somebody doing something and somebody do
- 8:36Speaker 1: that after they may look like it. It's like we don't.
- 8:39Speaker 1: We can't try and look into somebody else journey. We've
- 8:42Speaker 1: probably been working on that, but I probably want mine
- 8:44Speaker 1: to be perfect. I don't put things out. He's someone
- 8:46Speaker 1: probably like, look, I'm putting mines out, and I'm like, girl,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'm waiting on mines. And I'm like, I'm putting mines out.
- 8:49Speaker 1: She's like, I'm waiting on mines. So it's just like,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you know, we just in our own lane of business.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And but when it comes to comedy, I definitely think
- 8:57Speaker 1: a lot of people compare. I mean, my comedy is
- 8:59Speaker 1: totally differ from be some ows. But when it comes
- 9:01Speaker 1: to business, we're gonna get We're gonna get it done. Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 1: let's get them chickens. Yeah. I don't show with no
- 9:07Speaker 1: check now, not with my home. Okay, alright, so I
- 9:10Speaker 1: think if it might be time to get into in case. Okay,
- 9:17Speaker 1: it's pretty bad. You did mention that you are in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So tell me what do you think about Georgia's governor
- 9:23Speaker 1: camp reopening the state's economy. Can you open you're you're
- 9:32Speaker 1: open up the building. I mean again, I don't agree
- 9:36Speaker 1: with it, and I again, my thing is, like I
- 9:38Speaker 1: said to my home bird of the day, I said,
- 9:40Speaker 1: people have my home. Garner has an immune disease and
- 9:44Speaker 1: if she even walks at her house get any type
- 9:48Speaker 1: of cold cought, it's to the hospital immediately. So you'll
- 9:54Speaker 1: y'all ain't find no cure on, no vaccine about nothing.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I ain't heard nothing. Again, I know that it's a virus,
- 10:00Speaker 1: so you have to treat it like it's a flu
- 10:02Speaker 1: or however it is. Stay in your house. That's what
- 10:04Speaker 1: we do. We say that we stay in the house
- 10:06Speaker 1: and we have a flu, so we don't give it
- 10:08Speaker 1: to anybody else. I mean, when I was doing the
- 10:10Speaker 1: set of while and now everybody was sick last So
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm like, if we get it, we should we had
- 10:15Speaker 1: understand the house we had to stay in, degree of
- 10:17Speaker 1: life did we had to round them? So I think
- 10:20Speaker 1: it was a bad decision. I think that you know,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you should know what the people wants. You know, this
- 10:26Speaker 1: is your city. You should know, like, look, it's a
- 10:29Speaker 1: lot going on. We haven't found it yet. People are
- 10:30Speaker 1: losing money. I get that, but we have to know
- 10:34Speaker 1: as people that Look, people are dying, and they're choosing
- 10:38Speaker 1: from babies, teenagers and someone grandmother, grandfather, who do we
- 10:43Speaker 1: choose to stay alive? All right, Well they already lived there,
- 10:47Speaker 1: Eggy nine years. Let me just go ahead and save
- 10:48Speaker 1: the baby because she's about five and she needs dad.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And then you can't even go see your grandmother and father. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I Lennox Town's center. I think it's when net play
- 11:03Speaker 1: small they are opening up. But what they did say
- 11:06Speaker 1: is the stories don't have to open up. They just
- 11:09Speaker 1: have the option too if they want to. And I
- 11:11Speaker 1: just feel like, you know, they're trying to use the
- 11:13Speaker 1: idea of like, well I'm giving you all the option
- 11:15Speaker 1: because some of you guys are about to lose your homes.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I just think that's b s. To be honest with you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: The reality is our government don't want to take care
- 11:22Speaker 1: of people. Do any supposed to take care of us?
- 11:24Speaker 1: So it's like, hey, we'll just rather y'all go outside,
- 11:27Speaker 1: get sick and die, or just you know, let's just
- 11:29Speaker 1: figure it out. But other other than that, if they
- 11:32Speaker 1: can come up with anything other than the state continuing
- 11:35Speaker 1: to pay unemployment or having to dish out more money
- 11:39Speaker 1: through a stem with his package, they're totally with it.
- 11:40Speaker 1: They don't really care about our health. It's all about
- 11:43Speaker 1: the economics. And basically they said we have room and
- 11:46Speaker 1: at the World Congress Center because we may. Yeah, Governor's
- 11:51Speaker 1: mansion is closed. Yeah, you cannot go to again. I
- 11:58Speaker 1: don't agree with it. I think it was just New
- 12:01Speaker 1: York is on lockdown, you know, and they and yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: they say made fifteen, you're ever gonna open Lennox and
- 12:09Speaker 1: Perimeter whatever on May first. Honey, it's the same old clothes.
- 12:14Speaker 1: They ain't even got my shipment in that yet, so
- 12:16Speaker 1: we don't need to be rushing and go nowhere. Girls.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You it's the same stuff we had, the same stuff.
- 12:23Speaker 1: We had the same exact things from last season. It's
- 12:27Speaker 1: what by the time we get out of here, it's
- 12:28Speaker 1: gonna be winn again, so that they gotta sew up
- 12:31Speaker 1: a little hoodie and some meet Jack is for us again,
- 12:33Speaker 1: because it's really not. Yeah, I was thinking about two
- 12:36Speaker 1: the kids that their outlet, the mothers that have to
- 12:40Speaker 1: be teachers now to their kids. You know, now it's
- 12:44Speaker 1: virtual school mothers, fathers, the fathers now stands the mothers,
- 12:52Speaker 1: the mothers, the mothers and fathers that have to be
- 12:55Speaker 1: teachers now they have to be attended to their kids.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And it's crazy, even the ones that depend on school
- 13:01Speaker 1: for outlet, because we don't know what's going on in
- 13:03Speaker 1: their household. Abuse, you know, um miss molestation, like just
- 13:09Speaker 1: different things. And I'm like, you guys are in this house,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and that's when you're only you guys are in this house,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and you're only you're in this house of this your
- 13:17Speaker 1: only outlet is school friends. You can't go nowhere. So
- 13:20Speaker 1: I just felt bad, and you know, it's a lot,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but I mean, we have to find something because my
- 13:26Speaker 1: best friend just lost her aunt the other day of
- 13:28Speaker 1: this and she's an NYPD and she was okay here,
- 13:31Speaker 1: she just lost her grandmother you know, and she was
- 13:34Speaker 1: just fine. So I'm so sorry to hear that. Wow,
- 13:38Speaker 1: it's crazy. We definitely sent our condolences to everybody who's
- 13:41Speaker 1: dealing with it. I mean, it really just kinda took
- 13:44Speaker 1: us by storm. But even I feel like I feel
- 13:47Speaker 1: like I had the corona. I told y'all a couple
- 13:50Speaker 1: of months ago, I had no taste. Damn there three
- 13:53Speaker 1: weeks and so I do a Sunday brunch and literally
- 13:57Speaker 1: everybody at the venue was it. Pretty much around the
- 14:01Speaker 1: same time. Um, one of the couple of girls went
- 14:03Speaker 1: to the hospital and they were saying that they did
- 14:05Speaker 1: not know what it was. So looking back on it,
- 14:07Speaker 1: of course, now hindsight, we all think we are already
- 14:10Speaker 1: had it, and we may have. You added to Robbie, Yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I remember I was shortness of breath. I went to
- 14:17Speaker 1: my doctor. I spoke to my doctor. They prescribed me.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I still have the medication in here. They prescribed me
- 14:22Speaker 1: some medication that didn't work. Thinking back of it, I
- 14:26Speaker 1: was over here, like yo, I remember having shortness of breath.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I hadn't saw a throat I had and I barely
- 14:31Speaker 1: get said, only get sick. Maybe I always get sitting
- 14:33Speaker 1: around the pot when the pollen come back, and when
- 14:36Speaker 1: the weather starts getting cold, because I hate cold weather.
- 14:38Speaker 1: But this time, this particular time I got said it
- 14:41Speaker 1: was the week after Thankgiving. I never forget shortness of breath,
- 14:45Speaker 1: so throw coughing every five seconds, um, And I just
- 14:49Speaker 1: remember feeling like I couldn't breathe, and I went to
- 14:51Speaker 1: my doctor. They told me it wasn't the flu. They
- 14:55Speaker 1: sent me home with some medication that didn't work, and
- 14:58Speaker 1: it was because they were reading something else. They didn't
- 15:01Speaker 1: They don't even know what that that medication was supposed
- 15:04Speaker 1: to be that they gave you. They just gave it. Well.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Two two Chins, you know, obviously owns two restaurants here
- 15:13Speaker 1: in Atlanta, and at first he was saying that he
- 15:15Speaker 1: was going to open his restaurants for dining in service
- 15:18Speaker 1: and that he was gonna follow really straight guidelines. And
- 15:21Speaker 1: he caught a lot of heat for that, Like a
- 15:23Speaker 1: lot of people were talking smack on him, like why
- 15:26Speaker 1: would you open is too soon? Just because you're allowed
- 15:28Speaker 1: to doesn't mean you should. They were calling it money
- 15:30Speaker 1: hungry and you know, saying that he didn't care about
- 15:33Speaker 1: his community, which if we know to if y'all know
- 15:37Speaker 1: two change the way Atlanta, those two changed. He cares
- 15:40Speaker 1: about people, period, So he actually went back and decided
- 15:44Speaker 1: to keep the restaurant closed, keep the dining area closed,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and instead he's been feeding the homeless, which is really dope. Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 1: he turned negative into a positive, you know, but his
- 15:54Speaker 1: his name was. He had to lay off his employees,
- 15:58Speaker 1: so he's he stuck between a rock and hard play.
- 16:00Speaker 1: You don't know what to do. So what's the other
- 16:02Speaker 1: restaurant he owns? I know it's Escobar and what else?
- 16:05Speaker 1: He has Escobar on the south side and now as
- 16:07Speaker 1: well they just on the south side. Okay, I didn't
- 16:11Speaker 1: know that. I know you opened that else on right?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Did he? Actually? I didn't, thank you? Pretty? My cousin
- 16:18Speaker 1: works there. Yeah, that's what's up, Pretty? Okay? There it
- 16:25Speaker 1: is girl subject because I really want to ask Pretty
- 16:30Speaker 1: vs opinion on okay, speaking of of of tea and
- 16:35Speaker 1: I hope that we're talking about the same thing. Right, So, Pretty,
- 16:38Speaker 1: you've been in Hollywood for some time now, would you
- 16:42Speaker 1: find it easier or harder to keep your love life
- 16:45Speaker 1: on the low? Um? For me? What? Let me say
- 16:48Speaker 1: something about me? I haven't had a dude in two years. Yeah,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and that's just I mean I had someone tell me
- 16:56Speaker 1: they had cheating days for me, right for myself and
- 17:00Speaker 1: this person you know, through me after after I heard that,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and I think for me, it depends on who the
- 17:08Speaker 1: person is, because you can always keep somebody, you can
- 17:10Speaker 1: always keep people out your business. Let me tell you,
- 17:12Speaker 1: it's a lot of celebrities got let me say, um,
- 17:15Speaker 1: what is it? What's her name? What is it? Kay Washington?
- 17:17Speaker 1: We don't even see care Washington kids que Latifa either.
- 17:20Speaker 1: We don't know who keens go where we've seen that,
- 17:22Speaker 1: we've seen them whoever, But other than that, we don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: see them. So it's I mean, it's you can it
- 17:27Speaker 1: just depends on you know how y'all what's in the relationship.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I mean sometimes you hope my man, you hope my hand,
- 17:32Speaker 1: you're my man. I'm PERI at the end of the day.
- 17:37Speaker 1: So you know, I don't care to show off. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: mean it is I don't know because I ain't been
- 17:41Speaker 1: with and I don't know how it's play. So you know,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it only took a year for Trey Songs to reveal
- 17:48Speaker 1: who the baby mama was. He posted a photo from
- 17:51Speaker 1: I guess it was Noah's first birthday party maybe, which
- 17:54Speaker 1: is their son that they have together. And he actually
- 17:58Speaker 1: said um and comment it was kind of people are
- 18:02Speaker 1: trying to put it together. Yeah, does she go it's
- 18:06Speaker 1: a beautiful girl. She's beautiful. Yeah. I think we threw
- 18:10Speaker 1: a lot of people off is, Like, you know, they
- 18:11Speaker 1: expected her to be like this video vixen and like
- 18:15Speaker 1: this crazy made up plastic body and you know, all
- 18:19Speaker 1: the craziness. But listen, she is who she is and
- 18:22Speaker 1: she's gorgeous. But Trey actually posted um and he said,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I'm obsessed. We did that. You did that. You're a
- 18:31Speaker 1: great mother and you deal with all the extras very gracefully.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'll always be eternally grateful to you, know, mama. So
- 18:39Speaker 1: the fans are trying to figure out, like are you
- 18:42Speaker 1: still with her or not? Is she just a baby
- 18:44Speaker 1: mama or is she your girlfriend? I think he just
- 18:47Speaker 1: appreciate his child's mother. And I feel like this quarantine
- 18:50Speaker 1: has everybody in with a different outlook these days. Oh
- 18:56Speaker 1: I know you got one. I how she just looks
- 19:00Speaker 1: like a regular little woman. She don't have the Kim
- 19:04Speaker 1: Kardashian smoom boom. She just looks normal. She got she
- 19:08Speaker 1: looked like she can cook good. She got a little,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, a little sometimes the expectations of some people,
- 19:16Speaker 1: because it's just like the game wasn't nobody really expected
- 19:19Speaker 1: him to have the baby mama he got. Yeah, was
- 19:23Speaker 1: because you go out in their party with a pretty
- 19:26Speaker 1: fun video bix and girls, but at home it would
- 19:28Speaker 1: really be a totally different type of bitch at the crib,
- 19:30Speaker 1: like if somebody totally different, like and that's the real
- 19:33Speaker 1: like the thing that some people people off was he
- 19:36Speaker 1: actually added to my baby mama said her old number
- 19:39Speaker 1: is probably boom and sleep well. So it's like, okay,
- 19:43Speaker 1: is he saying that he's with her or not? We
- 19:47Speaker 1: don't know what to just be like, oh I got
- 19:49Speaker 1: her now. No. My thing is, I'm all about peace,
- 19:53Speaker 1: Like I don't care about all that. If you show me,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you showed me you don't, you don't like I'm already
- 19:57Speaker 1: get half of what you got anyway. So one thing
- 19:59Speaker 1: about me, like I'm really all about I'm really all
- 20:02Speaker 1: about like you're gonna if I'm not with you, you're
- 20:04Speaker 1: gonna see me being a mother, hitting in my business
- 20:07Speaker 1: as entrepreneur whatever that is. But for me, I'm all
- 20:10Speaker 1: about piece if I can sleep, I'm good, and that
- 20:15Speaker 1: it's time for a word from our sponsors. You're listening
- 20:19Speaker 1: to and now it's time for balling Man message. Dear Rory,
- 20:25Speaker 1: I am faced with a tough decision. I just got
- 20:28Speaker 1: my unemployment check. I also received my stimulus check. To
- 20:33Speaker 1: the issue is I just got hired of Amazon before
- 20:37Speaker 1: I received my unemployment check. I write in you because
- 20:41Speaker 1: they sent my unemployment and I got paid from Amazon.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Do I call them? I mean, this is dope because
- 20:47Speaker 1: I need the extra income. I'm a twenty seven year
- 20:50Speaker 1: old guy from Augustus, Augusta, Georgia. Please help. Okay, Well,
- 20:56Speaker 1: let me just say I read an article I think
- 20:58Speaker 1: a week or so ago that said if you qualify
- 21:00Speaker 1: for unemployment, that does not change if you got hired
- 21:04Speaker 1: from the time you receive the payments or you know,
- 21:08Speaker 1: from the time that you applied and from the time
- 21:10Speaker 1: you got a job. So I think you're safe. But
- 21:14Speaker 1: damn you spend the money already. What you think? I
- 21:19Speaker 1: don't speed that. Oh, so you're gonna call you gonna
- 21:23Speaker 1: be a good sumartan, I say, keep the damn money
- 21:25Speaker 1: and head on. I mean, I don't know how that's
- 21:30Speaker 1: being a good samaritan. You paid these taxes. Okay, they
- 21:33Speaker 1: owe you this money that's yours. You called for you
- 21:37Speaker 1: got it. And once it actually kicks into that system
- 21:40Speaker 1: that oh this spec had a job, then they're gonna
- 21:43Speaker 1: stop what I'm saying. So it's cool. Go ahead and
- 21:47Speaker 1: take take your money. Don't don't be stupid and go
- 21:49Speaker 1: buy yourself that Gucci belt that you couldn't afford a
- 21:52Speaker 1: couple of months ago. Don don't do that. You enjoy it,
- 21:55Speaker 1: you know, come on, be cute, be cute with it. Well,
- 22:00Speaker 1: pretty by. We absolutely appreciate you coming to kick it
- 22:04Speaker 1: with us today on the Bother Alert Show podcast. We
- 22:08Speaker 1: love your energy, your light, your spirit. We love that
- 22:10Speaker 1: you were just like, oh we're going on zoom baby,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm playing on a cap baby. Because I didn't I
- 22:16Speaker 1: did not warn her, And I apologize for not wanting
- 22:18Speaker 1: you because I didn't know. No, you're finding you the
- 22:21Speaker 1: broad Yellow call me coming. Come on, I'm big thing them. No.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I appreciate you guys so much. Um. You guys are
- 22:30Speaker 1: super dope. Continue to be covered in this pandemic. Pray
- 22:35Speaker 1: right and create, do what y'all do. Um again, you
- 22:38Speaker 1: guys all the culture and I appreciate you guys for
- 22:41Speaker 1: having me tell everybody when they can find you on Instagram.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And yes, I'm pretty v on all platforms, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TV.
- 22:51Speaker 1: All right, now I have a bleased one. Thanks pretty
- 22:53Speaker 1: me say saying, baby, you're listening to the now. It's
- 23:04Speaker 1: tough for man. Creeping creep cree cree cree Man missed
- 23:13Speaker 1: two episodes. He back on The Damn Show feeling I
- 23:16Speaker 1: will never leave y'all. I love y'all. He is back
- 23:21Speaker 1: and he is a topic. Okay, we're gonna talk about this,
- 23:24Speaker 1: So comment creeping. This is where I highlight what celebrities
- 23:28Speaker 1: people of influence are saying to each other on social media.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Sometimes it's taking shots. Most of the time they're taking shots. Okay,
- 23:34Speaker 1: so did he Mr love Puff Daddy whatever you wanna
- 23:38Speaker 1: call him? Bad boy? Take that? Take that all that? Right?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Did he Hitstagram? And he says attention to all the
- 23:43Speaker 1: black vote will not be free this year. If you
- 23:46Speaker 1: don't know, he actually went on the Campus Life. She
- 23:49Speaker 1: has a show. I believe it's like keeping a real
- 23:52Speaker 1: Naomi or real talking. It's something along those lines. But nonetheless,
- 23:55Speaker 1: he kept it real, and he shared um his theory
- 23:59Speaker 1: that the vote should no longer be free. We should
- 24:02Speaker 1: hold these politicians and these candidates accountable. We should make
- 24:06Speaker 1: them do what they say they're gonna do if they
- 24:09Speaker 1: want our vote, well our since say Kenny Burns, goes
- 24:14Speaker 1: to the comments, goes to the comment section of the post,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and he says, puff this statement is very irresponsible. At
- 24:20Speaker 1: this point, the only option is to get Trump out
- 24:24Speaker 1: of office. Come on, Champ. Encouraging people to stand by
- 24:28Speaker 1: is not an option. Hashtag vote or die, which, if
- 24:32Speaker 1: y'all remember did he made that hashtag pretty pretty popular
- 24:36Speaker 1: at one point. Now. The problem is, though the comment
- 24:40Speaker 1: that Kenny Burns left was deleted. Thank god for technology
- 24:45Speaker 1: and screenshots because yo, as screenshot at the comment before
- 24:47Speaker 1: it was just just just go before advantaged. What made
- 24:50Speaker 1: you screenshot that comment to begin with? Now I was
- 24:53Speaker 1: actually sent the screenshot of the comments, like several people
- 24:58Speaker 1: have sent the screenshot UM saying that your your message
- 25:02Speaker 1: isn't there anymore, And I was bath what I was like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: what what do you mean? Like? I'm literally saying that
- 25:08Speaker 1: what you said was irresponsible. That the thing would have
- 25:11Speaker 1: been to reply with the agenda everyone knows that there's
- 25:16Speaker 1: a black agenda that has to be addressed. There's not
- 25:19Speaker 1: one thoughtful human on the planet that doesn't know that.
- 25:22Speaker 1: The problem I have with the video or two things
- 25:24Speaker 1: in specific, he made a comment that this was business.
- 25:28Speaker 1: We all know that Donald Trump ran his entire campaign
- 25:32Speaker 1: on business. This is not just business six months before
- 25:37Speaker 1: the election. Where he fails to realize every time in
- 25:41Speaker 1: his superhero moment, in his fearless black leader moment, is
- 25:45Speaker 1: that this is not about you. You are not personally
- 25:48Speaker 1: holding our vote as a community. That's not responsible, responsible
- 25:53Speaker 1: way to ship. And so I wasn't gonna say I
- 25:57Speaker 1: was gonna say what I said in the comment and
- 25:58Speaker 1: let other people have the conversation, right because that's why
- 26:01Speaker 1: I am. I am thoughtful, responsible, um thought leader in
- 26:07Speaker 1: our community. It was not about me. It was about
- 26:10Speaker 1: the people that follow him that are just not educated
- 26:13Speaker 1: in politics. Right now, let's let's fast forward to who
- 26:16Speaker 1: the politicians are. When you look at like and I'm
- 26:19Speaker 1: talking about that speaker on our behalfs Charlemagne, the gods
- 26:21Speaker 1: on the front line, you know, Angela, ry Sean, King, Killer, Mike.
- 26:26Speaker 1: They all agree with Puff, but they don't agree with
- 26:29Speaker 1: puff in the sense because I had a fifty minute
- 26:31Speaker 1: conversation with Charlemagne last night. It's not that they agree
- 26:34Speaker 1: with everything he said per se, other than there is
- 26:37Speaker 1: a black agenda that must be addressed, and because he
- 26:39Speaker 1: said it, it will get the attention of the powers
- 26:43Speaker 1: that be on the Biden side and cause him to
- 26:45Speaker 1: which we don't know what he's gonna do, because on
- 26:48Speaker 1: Biden's website he has a black agenda. Sean King doesn't
- 26:51Speaker 1: think that it's enough, which we'll hear that in his
- 26:53Speaker 1: response responsibly to Kenny Burns so today. But the point
- 26:57Speaker 1: is is like at the end of the day, if
- 26:59Speaker 1: you tell someone that is not educated in politics that
- 27:03Speaker 1: you're standing by holding the other problem, the vote hostage,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you're telling people essentially not to vote. Whether you're saying
- 27:12Speaker 1: that or not, people who are not educated in politics
- 27:15Speaker 1: are getting that. If you're looking at the comments, that's
- 27:17Speaker 1: why I ain't vote. Last time I vote, I voiced
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't matter and that is irresponsible. And you have to
- 27:23Speaker 1: know who your people who are who it's local, almost
- 27:29Speaker 1: like Donald Trump saying that people should inject themselves with
- 27:32Speaker 1: disinfectant and then coming back and saying I was being
- 27:34Speaker 1: sarcastic people should have known that when you are in
- 27:37Speaker 1: the limelight like that, you've got to communicate very clearly
- 27:40Speaker 1: and carefully what you're saying, because everybody don't have common
- 27:43Speaker 1: sense and very well to inject exactly exactly. So it's like,
- 27:50Speaker 1: as far as did these you know, fans and followings go,
- 27:53Speaker 1: there could be a handful of people that are literally
- 27:55Speaker 1: processing that as Okay, we're holding our vote hostage, meaning
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm not. That's not necessarily what I took from it.
- 28:03Speaker 1: But you have to be extra careful when you are
- 28:07Speaker 1: considered a leader, you know in our community, or you know,
- 28:10Speaker 1: just a big celebrity that has millions of people tuned
- 28:13Speaker 1: in in in a matter of seconds. Uh. There is
- 28:19Speaker 1: another comment creeping within the comment creeping oh uh. Prince
- 28:25Speaker 1: J d C commented, you got all of our numbers?
- 28:28Speaker 1: Oh G. You could have reached out privately and had
- 28:31Speaker 1: the conversation. Still can't. As black kings, we should handle
- 28:34Speaker 1: situations like this better than just posted on I G.
- 28:38Speaker 1: What does this soul? You can't my thing? Is you?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Taby damn bro? I can't disagree with you like we
- 28:45Speaker 1: had a disagreement. I don't agree with what he said,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm a man, and what you feel like, I can
- 28:51Speaker 1: disagree and I can call him out. Us as leaders,
- 28:54Speaker 1: we should be able to call each other out and
- 28:56Speaker 1: we and we handle it. And a social media platform,
- 29:01Speaker 1: people are being social on this platform. What's your what's
- 29:06Speaker 1: your thoughts on that? Kb Um? I think that you know,
- 29:10Speaker 1: first and foremost, you said it publicly, so I felt
- 29:13Speaker 1: I should address the publicly. It was. It was nothing
- 29:16Speaker 1: I could do and sit on the sidelines, you know,
- 29:20Speaker 1: And I couldn't sit on the side and I say anything.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I felt it was irresponsible. People know our relationship. They
- 29:26Speaker 1: know if I'm throwing something like that in the mix,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it should be thought about or adhered to. You know.
- 29:32Speaker 1: The thing about Justin though um, which which was done,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and I think because of this back and forth, people
- 29:38Speaker 1: are now talking about it. It was on every major
- 29:40Speaker 1: morning show this morning, every blog. And the bottom line
- 29:45Speaker 1: is with Justin, that's my nephew. Like I have a
- 29:48Speaker 1: great relationship with him and I have been a positive
- 29:50Speaker 1: reinforcement in his life. The problem I have with that is,
- 29:54Speaker 1: uh Ferrari, that he knows me in my actions because
- 29:59Speaker 1: of my I mean, in my you know, my love
- 30:01Speaker 1: for him, my appreciation for the time I spent doing
- 30:05Speaker 1: with his father because of my actions have not to
- 30:07Speaker 1: do with that moment. And I feel like I feel
- 30:10Speaker 1: bad for him because they dragged the ship out of
- 30:12Speaker 1: him in the comments. I feel I feel horrible that
- 30:15Speaker 1: he would do that and then catch that kind of
- 30:17Speaker 1: flat because in essence he's defending his pops. But at
- 30:20Speaker 1: the same time, you know the character your uncle and
- 30:23Speaker 1: how many wars I've had with your father. So it's
- 30:25Speaker 1: not like we don't do this historically, you know what
- 30:28Speaker 1: I'm saying. So and I did not. I didn't go
- 30:33Speaker 1: on public recordly like you been to us bigger. I didn't.
- 30:35Speaker 1: There was no ill intent in my offering. It was dog,
- 30:39Speaker 1: you're I know you. And see what people need to
- 30:42Speaker 1: realize too, is I really know him when I had
- 30:45Speaker 1: to revolte to vote campaign at revolt and it went
- 30:48Speaker 1: away and whatever happened happened. You know, people can look
- 30:53Speaker 1: back in history and be like, yo, you've been on
- 30:55Speaker 1: the right side. It's the whole time with him. This
- 30:57Speaker 1: is you know, this is before the last election. What
- 31:00Speaker 1: happened the last selection, Puff was ghost Puff did not
- 31:03Speaker 1: speak damn near. You know what I'm saying one way
- 31:06Speaker 1: or the other, I don't know if people really realized this.
- 31:08Speaker 1: So I'm very connected to him from voter died to
- 31:13Speaker 1: my comments yesterday, and it is what it is like that. Again,
- 31:16Speaker 1: there was no malice intent saying, oh funk that guy.
- 31:19Speaker 1: He did this for coach and it was none of that.
- 31:21Speaker 1: This statement, though you said today, is irresponsible, and the
- 31:25Speaker 1: same with Naomi a commic creepment. Within the commic creepment.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Naomi jumped in there. They dragged her too. You trying
- 31:32Speaker 1: to say etiquette, etiquett etiquette, what etiquette is coming out
- 31:35Speaker 1: with the proper information first, having the black agenda on
- 31:39Speaker 1: the table first. You didn't have any of that, But
- 31:42Speaker 1: that's because he's not on the front line. He's using
- 31:46Speaker 1: this as an opportunity like he always does for attention.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Would you be open to having him on the Kenny
- 31:54Speaker 1: Burns Show so y'all can hash this out. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 31:57Speaker 1: And it's not even a hashot to be honest with now.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You looked at the side where you said that, though,
- 32:02Speaker 1: But my son's out there working on you know that
- 32:04Speaker 1: the career. Um I would turn the computer arounds so
- 32:07Speaker 1: you can see them dunking and how is dunking dunking
- 32:10Speaker 1: like scary? But anyway, so um, but yeah, I would
- 32:13Speaker 1: love to have a conversation with him. But at the
- 32:15Speaker 1: same time, Puff is a Jedi mind trick master, just
- 32:19Speaker 1: like Donald Trump is a Jedi mind trick master. We
- 32:22Speaker 1: gotta we gotta be aware of what people say, and
- 32:25Speaker 1: we have to hold them accountable for what they say.
- 32:27Speaker 1: We can't. There's nothing detrimental about you know, my actions
- 32:31Speaker 1: were leaving a comment. There was nothing poisonous about that.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It was only getting to the root of what we
- 32:35Speaker 1: have to do. Just like Charlotte Maye hit me last night,
- 32:38Speaker 1: fifty minute conversation with him. Roland Martin hit me last night,
- 32:42Speaker 1: five minute conversation with him. Angela Right, like, I get
- 32:46Speaker 1: what everybody because Roland Martin was with it a hundred
- 32:49Speaker 1: thousand percent was like it was totally irresponsible. Uh, Charlotte
- 32:52Speaker 1: Mayne saw the point, but also like that it's sparked,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you know, the people to go at Inviden and whatever.
- 33:01Speaker 1: But I'm like, no, that ain't that ain't what it
- 33:03Speaker 1: is because the problem is that the people that follow
- 33:07Speaker 1: Puff ain't thinking that much. We like headlines, we don't
- 33:09Speaker 1: read the article. We like headlines. We're like, ah, that's
- 33:13Speaker 1: what we pay attention to, and that was add moment
- 33:16Speaker 1: with nothing to define said statement, and that's irresponsible. Yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 1: I think as black folks we have to understand that,
- 33:24Speaker 1: like we can have dialogue and not agree with each
- 33:28Speaker 1: other a thousand percent and not have no week. I
- 33:30Speaker 1: just don't agree, you know, So iired. I definitely feel,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you know, Charlemagne and and everybody else because I got
- 33:38Speaker 1: the point. But everybody's not going to get the point.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Everybody doesn't know how to read between the lines. And
- 33:43Speaker 1: you are a right. There are millions of people that
- 33:45Speaker 1: read the headlines and run with it. They do their
- 33:48Speaker 1: own that's but I'm for you know, people that are
- 33:52Speaker 1: in the spotlight. I gotta take you know, you gotta
- 33:54Speaker 1: take that into accountability and hold yourself to a higher
- 33:57Speaker 1: standard when delivering these types of messages knowing that people
- 34:00Speaker 1: don't read. Yeah, and one more things to you know again,
- 34:04Speaker 1: the two major things. You're holding a hostage of vote
- 34:06Speaker 1: for a people, You're speaking for people that you have
- 34:09Speaker 1: not been speaking for in this particular way. That's that's irresponsible. Second,
- 34:14Speaker 1: you cannot say this is business. We know there has
- 34:17Speaker 1: to be a black agenda. But this is not business.
- 34:20Speaker 1: This is life or death for certain people. People go
- 34:23Speaker 1: three months without paying bills they might never recover. We
- 34:26Speaker 1: go certain and without question. The bottom line is Trump
- 34:31Speaker 1: has to go under this presidency. In my mid forties,
- 34:34Speaker 1: I've never seen racism like this under this presidency. I've
- 34:37Speaker 1: never seen you know, the rich get richer where classism
- 34:41Speaker 1: or Trump racism no pun intended like this is bigger
- 34:44Speaker 1: than you saying something because you're in the middle of
- 34:47Speaker 1: a conversation with your partner. We have to be accountable
- 34:50Speaker 1: for what's going on in six months, six months out
- 34:53Speaker 1: before an election. It's just irresponsible to say those things
- 34:56Speaker 1: without an agenda attached, without an agenda attack heard, Thank
- 35:01Speaker 1: you sir. We are clearing clearing that up, k B.
- 35:06Speaker 1: If you will just fold time safely. That's what a
- 35:08Speaker 1: confusion says. Uh, Ladies and gentlemen. It ain't about what
- 35:15Speaker 1: people say, it's about what people do. We can no
- 35:18Speaker 1: longer stand by and just let people just talk to talk.
- 35:22Speaker 1: You gotta walk the walk and all the people like
- 35:25Speaker 1: Sean King, Angela, Ry, Charlemagne and God killing Mike, y'all
- 35:28Speaker 1: have to continue to do what y'are doing. But you
- 35:30Speaker 1: also can't beat down others when they become the only option.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Biden is the only option in this two man race,
- 35:38Speaker 1: So whatever you're trying to do for policy on a local, state,
- 35:41Speaker 1: and federal level is absolutely amazing and we will fight
- 35:45Speaker 1: with you. But you can't beat somebody up in the
- 35:47Speaker 1: press and expect your followers and then go and support
- 35:50Speaker 1: those people. So please, y'all stay focused. The dream is
- 35:53Speaker 1: really You have to say the dream is real. Come,
- 35:57Speaker 1: the dream is real, the facts, because the dream is real.
