- 0:00Hello and welcome back to an episode of Answer Lawrence here.
- 0:02How are you all doing if you're doing great?
- 0:04For today's episode, I want to talk about the deal that
- 0:08President Bola Ahmed Tunubu signed with the UK government to
- 0:13deport Nigerians. Asylum seekers, filled asylum
- 0:17seekers, people with criminal records and overstayers in the
- 0:23UK. President Tunubu has signed this
- 0:26deal to deport them without documentation.
- 0:31I think the reason why it is very important is because
- 0:37previously, if you're seeking asylum, most of them, they throw
- 0:41their passports away. They will claim that they can't
- 0:44find their passports. And then the UK government will
- 0:46have to reach out to the Nigerian embassy to say, listen,
- 0:51this is your people give us documentation to deposit them
- 0:55back to you. Most times the because the
- 0:59person has to accept that they're Nigerian first of all,
- 1:01before you can give them any documents.
- 1:03So if the the the culprit at that point is saying that I am
- 1:07not a Nigerian, I'm a Ghanaian or amid these or amid that.
- 1:11So that would delay the whole process.
- 1:13Maybe sometimes they just escape or just blending the system and
- 1:17sometimes they just disappear until maybe later they were able
- 1:23to file or the UK government would just, OK, take grant the
- 1:27asylum, the asylum. Now, this particular document
- 1:32right now is a letter that the UK government can write to say,
- 1:37yes, this person is a Nigerian and we're using this particular
- 1:44letter to deport this person back to Nigeria.
- 1:50That was the deal. Olubumi Tunzuju was with Shabana
- 1:55Mahmoud. They they took a picture, they
- 1:58held the whole signed documents. Everybody was smiling.
- 2:02You know, the UK, the UK, they are happy.
- 2:05They are happy because people are going to get deported.
- 2:10Deportation is about to kick off.
- 2:14The US government signed a deal with Ghana to deport Africans.
- 2:23Well West to the port Africans W Africans back to Ghana.
- 2:28They approached Nigeria. Nigeria said no, you know the
- 2:34money about to pay us is is not enough.
- 2:36We, we, we can't, we can't accept that Ghana took the deal.
- 2:42Ghana and their government came under fire because people said
- 2:46you have sold out West Africa. So anybody that is being picked
- 2:51up by ICE that is from West Africa, regardless of whether
- 2:57you're Senegal, Cameroonian, any country from West Africa, they
- 3:03would deport you back to Ghana. Then from Ghana, you can then
- 3:08find your your square roots. So that was a very controversial
- 3:14deal that Ghana, that Ghana, the government of Ghana signed with
- 3:18the UK government with the US government right now.
- 3:22Bola Ahmed Nubu, who was looking for money, was looking for loan,
- 3:28went on a three day state visit to the UK and Keir Stam at the
- 3:34British Prime Minister was able to sweet talking to say, listen,
- 3:38we're going to give you this money that you're asking for,
- 3:40but you're going to give us something in return.
- 3:42And that is to sign this document, any asylum seeker, any
- 3:50field asylum seeker. And the reason why they've not
- 3:52really deny the whole lot of asylum, asylum from Nigeria is
- 4:00because of that document. It's because they are saying,
- 4:02OK, some people will say, oh, you can't deport us because this
- 4:06is where we're being threatened or we're being this or being
- 4:09that. So we they can't really go to
- 4:13the government or to the embassy to say, give us or further
- 4:17documents to help us deport this person.
- 4:20But with that letter, it doesn't matter as long as you are asylum
- 4:25seeking, whatever you're seeking failed.
- 4:27They're going to deport you. There was this lady who before
- 4:32now who in Nigeria, they moved from South Africa to the UK.
- 4:37They, they, they were seeking for asylum, saying that they
- 4:41can't go back to South Africa because the South African
- 4:44government were after them and all that.
- 4:47So when it was time to deport them, they were, the document
- 4:50they came with is South African documents.
- 4:53But everybody knows that they're Nigerians.
- 4:56So when the asylum was then denied, they had to now deport
- 4:59them to South Africa. But now that this agreement is
- 5:04in place, anybody of Nigerian or rich, whether you agree or not,
- 5:10once your asylum is denied, you're going back to Nigeria.
- 5:14Once you have any criminal records, let's say you commit a
- 5:18crime and then for whatever reason you are arrested and
- 5:23charged, you're going to be deported.
- 5:26Now, somebody or some online commentators are saying that the
- 5:30reason why Tuneupus signed this deal is to get IKEA queer murder
- 5:39back to Nigeria because the Nigerian government, they've
- 5:42tried. They've tried to when the whole
- 5:45thing was going on, for some of you who don't know, IKEA
- 5:47Paramado was the third most powerful person in Nigeria.
- 5:54He was the president of the Senate.
- 5:58Now, IKEA Paramado's daughter had kidney problems.
- 6:03Yeah, So they were looking for, I don't know, she was or she's
- 6:10still in the UK. So they want the list.
- 6:13But UK, they do things properly. It doesn't matter who you are.
- 6:18If you're on the list, you're on the list.
- 6:19They have to wait to get you a turn.
- 6:21So what had happened was that IKEA Corremado contracted a
- 6:26doctor to look for somebody who could donate kidney for his
- 6:30daughter. And then the person they got a,
- 6:35a, a, a very young man who they had promised to take to the UK
- 6:41to work for Ike Poramado. So he was not told that he was
- 6:46going to donate kidney for equal Ike Poramado's daughter.
- 6:49So when he got to the UK, they forged documents, you know,
- 6:53arranged everything, sent Ike Poramado, signed all those
- 6:57things. He was brought to the UK now
- 7:00during medical checkup because whether you you're a match or
- 7:03not, they still have to go through their own medical
- 7:06checkups once you're in the UK. So when he was being asked, you
- 7:10know the questions like, do you know why you're here?
- 7:14Do you consent to donating your kidney?
- 7:18He was confused. He was like kidney.
- 7:22I wasn't told about donating kidney.
- 7:25This is how ridiculous these people are.
- 7:29You brought somebody, you know, they were going to ask these
- 7:31questions. I Anyway, they started
- 7:36martyrating a guy. They sent him out of the house.
- 7:39He was sleeping raw for about two days before reporting
- 7:42himself to the police station. So the police then picked up the
- 7:46case and started investigating. Now IKEA Paramado and his wife
- 7:53were busy looking for another donor because they wanted to
- 7:55save their child. IKEA Paramado then found a donor
- 8:00in Turkey. This time he was willing to pay.
- 8:05If he had paid this boy 20,000 lbs, I don't think it would have
- 8:11been a problem. He just did not want to pay.
- 8:13He just fell. You know, when somebody wants to
- 8:16use, regardless of how much people have, they want to use
- 8:20the poor. So Ek Koramadu got 20,000 lbs to
- 8:25travel with, going to Turkey to procure another kidney because
- 8:31he was already flagged on their system.
- 8:34He was arrested, he was searched, they found £20,000,
- 8:38they collected his phones, they found messages.
- 8:42Ek Koramadu was arrested, the wife was arrested.
- 8:45They were charged, caught and gaoled.
- 8:49I think the wife has been released, but AKA Koramadu I
- 8:52think still have about two years or a year to, to to complete.
- 8:59So some people said the reason why team will sign this deal is
- 9:02to get AKA Koramadu back to Nigeria because he's a criminal.
- 9:07So this deal, all they need to do is to, you know, transfer him
- 9:15back to Nigeria prison and you know, Nigerian prison like for
- 9:18the higher mighty. But Brisky did not even go to
- 9:21gaol. So you can imagine Ike, we're a
- 9:23model. He's just going to be living in
- 9:26luxury will be welcomed like a king and tenable sold out
- 9:34Nigerians to release IKEA. We're a model, allegedly,
- 9:41allegedly. And in my opinion, I believe it.
- 9:48I do. Let me know what you think.
- 9:50Do you think that the government was so pressed they needed money
- 9:55so they had to sign that deal with the UK government?
- 9:58Or do you think that Tinobu is just he's just doing things to,
- 10:03you know, thinking if he gets it Ek for a battle back the Ebos to
- 10:09secure the Ibos votes and the Ibos will vote for him.
- 10:13Let me know what you think. Thank you very much for watching
